Sake Sushi All You Can Eat! Enjoy with us for good quality Sushi, Sashimi, Hibachi and Ramen noodles!
This is the best in comparison of the quality and the price for ALL YOU CAN EAT SUSHI in Madison. I have been here multiple times and will absolutely come back for more. I took my parents and friends here and we are always happy & satisfied. For 30$ you can eat all high-quality sashimi (15 pieces/ person) and the rest of the menu.
Tips: get more friends/ family/ company with you to try more varieties. Because their rolls are tasty but hefty too 😉 or come back to try all the menu like me ❤️

We popped in here for all you can eat sushi and were immediately seated and welcomed by our fantastic waiter. He was excellent throughout the entire experience and gave consistently wonderful service. The food came out quickly and everything was delicious. Is it the best quality and most delicious sushi you’ll ever have? No. But it was delicious for the cost and location. The food, paired with the service, makes me confident in recommending this place for a delicious all you can eat dinner that includes hibachi options!

Sake Sushi is a lovely sushi restaurant on the west side of Madison, WI. They are best known for their all you can eat sushi offerings. You should know they also serve a full array of Japanese standards including Hibachi grilled food.
The sashimi is very tasty and fresh. If you get it as part of the all you can eat - you can include up to 15 pieces of sashimi and each additional piece is only $1.
The super lobster roll was very popular.
They also have a variety of appetizers.
If you arrive early enough you can catch happy hour where beers at two for $6 - including the always delicious spotted cow.
I recommend giving Sake Sushi a try. They give all the madison sushi restaurants a strong run for their money.

I absolutely love trying new places and this by far has one of theee best sushi for the price point I’ve ever had if you want to bring friends out please bring them the waitress are really nice! One thing I do have to say tho is the space isn’t really the most decorated place I’ve seen and I’ve never seen soo many different chandeliers in one space at a time!!! The bathroom floors needed to be moped but all is good when wearing shoes

Technically not a bad deal, nor is the food that bad, but they will try to hold your check hostage if you don’t clean your plates…I totally get wanting to minimize food waste, but I think there could be a better solution

Sigh. I was really excited to come here for my birthday, so it was a bit of a bummer for the day after not to count, like it would at most any other restaurant.
But okay, fair enough, fine. Their restaurant, their rules. Unfortunately, though, this wasn’t their only issue, or I’d probably not even mention it. Ordering was kind of hectic and took awhile, maybe 20 minutes or so to get menus and order. It took forever to get our drinks. People’s food came out with large gaps in between so some in our group just had to sit and wait while others in our group were eating. This was the first round, during which an ordered salad never came, ordered waters never came, and one’s hot tea FINALLY arrived super late. Multiple times the wrong food was almost given to us, or they didn’t know what item they were trying to serve. With multiple menus involved, they should keep track of what food goes to whom. It was not as if we all ordered one large order together.
Fast forward to round two, where again a salad was ordered, and again it never came. It took an HOUR in between ordering and when the food came, again with large gaps in between people’s food coming out. We were at the two hour mark at this point, and we had to leave for a show. Our server informed us that we had to eat everything or be charged, which I understand is typical for AYCE, but we argued that it wasn’t our fault it took such a long time and we had somewhere to be. Thankfully he obliged and we were not charged anything extra. And we still never even got everything we ordered. 🫠
Overall, a very underwhelming experience and a very subpar one for a birthday outing of eight people. Thankfully, the silver lining is that we were actually generally pleased with the food itself, but the service (and chef staff?) needs serious work. It’s great we have an AYCE experience in Madison, but in its current iteration I would not be able to recommend anyone go here. I hope to be able to give it another try later down the road, but there are serious kinks that need to be worked out first.
Addendum: I forgot to mention the unwelcome, surprise credit card surcharge, which is unfortunately becoming more common but still deserves to be called out. It should be part of the cost of doing business, and dealing with cash is more cumbersome, less secure, and leaves room for error. Credit cards are not strictly for the customer’s convenience. The business benefits too. And lest I forget the suggested tips on the receipt, which were based on post-tax amounts, instead of pre-tax, which has traditionally been the societal norm. Meh.

Agree with other reviews here: you're not going to mistake this for world class sushi, but everything we had was pretty good! For $30 all you can eat, this is a great deal.
Service was A+. Friendly waiters, fast food, water always refilled quickly, etc.
The spicy tuna and volcano rolls (and rangoon!) were my favorites. The actual sushi/nigiri was much better than expected as well.
I'll definitely be back!

Ordered vegetarian bento box. It came with California roll and when we requested to exchange it for a vegetarian roll, we had to fight with the waitress about it. After we finally got the roll exchanged for a veggie roll, we come to find out that the dumplings were pork. I wouldn’t normally leave a review about an order that was obviously wrong, but the way they handled it was awful. Too many other good options in the area to go back.

AYCE
Experience/food was mid. Some of the rolls were quite "fishy". Snowstorm roll was fire🔥. Also, don't sleep on that banana roll. 🤌🏻
Overall, i've had better/worse.
However, confusing rules/menu. I wish I had thought of asking if using a translator app would have been ok. 😓 Oh well. Doubt i'll be returning.

Food was okay the first time so I wanted to give this a second try but now the service has gone way downhill since then. The workers do not communicate well to each other. They had brought us 3 separate dishes that were all wrong. The spicy mayo tasted like tangy mustard. Salmon tasted very mushy. Steak tasted very bland, cheap, and cold. Not worth it.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!
If I could give no stars, I would. I'm not even exaggerating when I say this was THE WORST dinning experience of my life. From the moment we where seated, things began going downhill. We where a party of 7 to celebrate my sister's birthday. On their menu it says the birthday guests eats free in a party of at least 6. What it does not say, is that you have to show ID that it is the exact day of their birthday (we went Friday, her birthday was Sunday).. Well.. Okay.. Fine.. But that should be in the menu blurb.. But we found this out after already reciving TERRIBLE service. There where at least 4 items ordered that never came.. Everyone had to ask for their beverages multiple times, the food was all brought out at separate times. So some people where already done eating by the time others got even part of what they ordered.. One item came out about 10 mins after requesting our bills, and we all had out coats on and where ready to just GTFO of there. We had to keep asking what each roll was, as they would say nothing, just set them all at my end of the table so we where never sure which roll was for who. Honestly.. I feel like there where more issues I'm missing to list.. But before we got our bills, I "lost" my meal in the bathroom (and I have a strong stomach). And the male server that was mostly tending to our table went through and looked at each paid bill as we got up from the table, and started basically demanding my mom tip. Saying, "So I work for free for you?" There where at least 4 of us that I know did not tip because our experience was just that aweful. I have never not left a tip. In fact, I always tend to try and "over"tip because I work in the food service industry myself and understand how much tips help. When he began demanding a tip from my mom, that was the last straw for me... I don't make a seane ever.. But I raised my voice and told him that tipping is optional, and their food made me sick. And all he would keep saying is, "talk to my boss" and "I work for you for free". Granted there did seem to be a major language barrier, but there is also no excuse for someone to demand to tip for such an atrocious experience. I honestly just can't stress enough how bad the entire night was..

In great fear of over running my favorite place to eat, this business couldn't do it better. My server Kha is absolutely the best. Can't say enough great things about this place. Excellent sushi!!

We stopped by for lunch but unfortunately didn’t have the best experience. The restaurant appeared to be short-staffed, so service was very slow. It took a long time to get our food, and we also had to wait quite a while for the bill. Because of the delays, we couldn’t really take full advantage of the all-you-can-eat options, as there wasn’t enough time to try many items. The sushi itself was average—some pieces were a bit chewy, and the overall quality didn’t meet our expectations.
A lot of reviews for this restaurant are quite positive, so maybe it was just an off day.

It was good food. We last did all you can eat in Las Vegas 20 years ago and eat at Sushi restaurant in Portage and it was good but not as great as our Portage and Vegas places we patronize. The rolls where a bit loose and the Nori was too thick. I noticed the difference in the Nori by site and when I ate it, it was tough and overwhelming in flavor. I should not taste Nori over other ingredients. Just one Chef to another constructive criticism is what I am offering. At least it was affordable because I spend about $150.00 on Sushi at cost just for 2 people. Good job over all.

Very nice restaurant and staff, but the sushi was just not fresh. The seaweed was soggy and chewy and the rice was gummy and hard. The flavors were okay but nothing special or worth the ~$30 all you can eat dinner.
The sushi was on par with grocery store and cheap takeout options nearby both in quality and variety. It could be one off night but it was quite disappointing.

Not sure why this place is so highly rated. I guess because of value. The food is subpar at best and the sushi is questionable. My tuna did not taste fresh.
Also, the ordering system is just overly complicated especially because my waitress couldn't really understand my questions. She was very nice, but we had to do a lot of charades, and our order never had exactly what we requested.
All in all, fairly disappointing against all the high reviews.

I recently visited this all-you-can-eat sushi restaurant with high expectations, but my experience was incredibly disappointing. After arriving quite hungry, I found myself waiting an agonizing hour and a half for a single roll (which is all they could manage to bring out of an order of 6 rolls).
To add to the frustration, it took 20 minutes just to take our order; let alone the time to bring out the food. When it finally came time to settle the bill, the wait was just as excruciating, with the check taking far too long to be collected.
The lack of attentiveness and efficiency from the staff made what should have been an enjoyable meal an hour and a half test of my patience for a single roll that should have taken 10-15 minutes max. I will never order here again and will make sure to direct others away as well.

The majority of the people working here are very kind. The food has been good quality almost always. Delivery gets iffy with quality. But they use good quality fish and it’s hilarious that a ton of inexperienced Midwestern nerds are leaving bad reviews because the sushi isn’t “ice cold” like it was sitting in a grocery store ice box for 12 hours 😂 go back to your gas station and grocery store sushi because these people actually know what they’re doing lmaoooo. Listen up midwest! Learn to put salt in your food before you judge a different culture’s cuisine 😂💀 also MODERN day sushi doesn’t originate from China to the man who thought the food would taste good because “the server was Chinese” who the heck says shit like that? Racist and cringe my dude…

Seriously so good. I love this place. All you can eat sushi that is better than most fancy places in the area. No tiny bones in the eel. So many dumplings, and they bring the food out so fast. Bring some friends or family and try something new.

Food was great! I loved all the options for AYCE. I came here with a few friends and was not aware it was ACYE only so I wish there was an option to just order a couple things from the menu but that’s not a big deal. They also didn’t have a ton of information on allergens. One of my friends is allergic to dairy and was concerned about if there was dairy in the ramen she ordered. They weren’t sure so they brought it back.

So yummy. So fresh. Made to order off the menu. $19.99 for lunch. AYCE was awesome. Lots to choose from: apps, rolls, teriyaki, ramen, hibachi, salads, tempuras, soups etc. The ramen alone was worth the price. Nice touch after meal was the fresh orange slices to cleanse the palette. Just perfect. Friendly waitstaff. . Highly recommend. Thanks for great food and great service. Will definitely go back.

This is hands down the best place to go for high quality and high volume Japanese cuisine. The "all you can eat" menu covers not only sushi but also appetizers (they have great fry cooks), soups/salads, ramen noodles, teriyaki, bento boxes, and near and dear to me personally... sashimi. We have never been disappointed by a meal here, only left exceeding full but happy. The service is also on point, with dishes being delivered with impressive speed and accuracy. There really isn't a choice here. You should go.

Sushi - Update
What a wonderful surprise I found in Madison Wisconsin. I found Sake Sushi a locally owned Sushi restaurant that is impressive not just for the reasonable price but the freshness of the Sushi.
Located -
Sake Sushi
6654 Mineral Point Road
Madison Wi, 53705
Located only 2 minutes from the West Town Mall.
Ordering - All You Can Eat
I know what your thinking an all you can eat Sushi Bar is not that good. I'm hear to say Sake Sushi is top notch.
You can order all you can eat for $30.00. This includes Signature Rolls, Sushi, Sashimi, Classic Rolls as well as Signiture Rolls. Other offerings include Hibachi, Ramen Noodles, Bento Box, Teriyaki and yes a Saki Bar.
You can also order smaller buy the piece Sushi if you choose.
Buy why would you do that? It's only $30.00 per adult.
Note: I tried the New Sushi Lovers [[ New Resturaunt]] Located in the West Town Mall and it doesn't even come close to Sake Sushi. In fact it was a lower quality Sushi and inferior freshness. [[ Dont bother going to Sushi Lovers ]] Just not that good.
Enjoy!! I hope my Sushi Loving friends enjoy!!
Yes!! Actual picture of my dinner.

Sake Sushi has a lunchtime All-You-Can-Eat menu at lunch and dinner times and it includes more than just sushi/sashimi/handrolls/specialty rolls, such as soft drinks, ramen, miso, gyoza, salad, and more.
(You can also order off of their standard menu at any time as well.)
We were there for a birthday dinner, party of 4. If you have a party of 6 or more, the birthday person has their meal comped. Perhaps for the next person's birthday we will bring more people. As it was, the A.Y.C.E. dinner is $30 per person. Each of us ordered different rolls plus several to share so we got a chance to try an extensive part of the menu. All of it was delicious, though each of us did have our preferences.
The wait staff were all very pleasant, helpful, and professional. Service was swift, clearing dishes away as new ones were brought out. We did our best to make things as easy as possible by stacking then at the end of the table nearest to where they could see them and remove them. As customers, we always try to treat wait staff as we would like to be treated.
It was a truely delightful dining experience and we look forward to going back again. We only tried about ⅙ of the items offered in the dinner menu. Do make sure that you don't order more than you can eat. If you have leftovers, you will be charged full price per roll or dish in addition to the A.Y.C.E. meal price. A member of our group had to leave for another engagement and left over half of 3 rolls behind. Even though they were on their own ticket, we did our best and didn't waste any. It was a close call.

Sushi was warm. It literally made me gag. Sashimi should never be warm. California rolls should not be warm. And most of all, rainbow rolls should not be warm. The fish was not even remotely fresh. It was limp and dull colored from being old and sitting out. If ya gonna pre make it at least put it in the fridge.

Everything was on the bland side. With 2 other ayce sushi places also close by on the west side of Madison, Sushi Sake needs to up their game. The fryer oil must have been too cold, as out tempura and appetizers came out tough and oily/greasy. The rice on the sushi itself was more akin to what we get from grocery store sushi as opposed to a sit down restaurant.
Two of our ordered items were missing sauces and finnally, the spicy sauce on the spicy tuna salad and rolls was not spicy, just pink and bland.

It’s all you can eat sushi in Wisconsin - it won’t be the best around, but you’ll be able to PIG OUT. The rolls were better decent but everything was heavy with rice, especially, the nigiri. The staff were friendly and the food came quickly! Definitely with the $30 (if you plan to binge).

While the food was very very good... their service is very... not good.
Here's why. Came on a Friday night with 2 at 8 pm. Ordered on the menu for ayce and got maybe.... 1/3 of the things we ordered.
I think maybe they only prepare some of the good until we order more but we did not have the time to just wait around. The server was also super unorganized and gave us someone else's order. We never got our order.
I cannot recommend this place to anyone except if yiu came here and you were maybe the only customer.

Came to this place the first time. Went around 7 pm, dinner time. Received cold food which was a disappointment. The items that were cold are the following; chicken teriyaki, beef teriyaki, and hibachi orders. Got the beef hibachi and it was a little bit dry. All of the teriyaki did come with vegetable. A good thing to know is that the teriyaki comes with a lot of vegetable, so if you don’t finish all of it, they will say something about it. It would’ve been nice to know that it comes with vegetables. The sashimi and sushi were pretty good. The waiter we had was a bit slow. Our table was full of dirty plates and it was hard to place order in since she was all over the place. She was nice I’ll say but her service was a little poor. Would give this place a try again, hopefully it’s better next time.

This is a real-life all you can eat sushi restaurant. For 30 dollars you can order as much food as you want as long as you eat all of it (except there was a limit of 15 pieces of sashimi per person). The fully unlimited all you can eat includes bento boxes, many kinds of rolls, bowls of ramen, teriyaki and more stuff. I was extremely impressed with this restaurant. It also has a cosy atmosphere and we had good service. The quality of the food is very respectable given that it's all you can eat. I strongly recommend this restaurant.

Lu is a great waiter! He was very attentive and kind. He also cut a design into an orange for us for a dessert. It was beautiful. Thank you so much!

I've been going to Sake Sushi for a few weeks, now, and I have loved the food and service. The staff has been exceptionally friendly, and today I had one of their newer servers, Icey. She took great care of us, and was always very quick at running the food. I will definitely continue to frequent this lovely place.

We have a great time here mindfully eating our food. Lu served our table. He was kind and helpful.

Went in randomly yesterday looking for sushi in the area, our server Lou was honestly the absolute best, everything about this place was super exceptional. Going to come back very often. Couldn’t be happier.

Awful Awful first time experience 😟
We had a table reserved for 8:15 as they close at 9:30 and we want a bit late around 8:30 , put our orders and said we are doing All you can eat and waited for the food, they started serving some food and we were waiting for rest of what we ordered and we were a party of 7, 3 adults and 4 kids, then the waiter came around 9:20 and said we realized that you ordered alot of food so we didn’t prepare everything and now you can order again what you need because you have to eat the food ( what the heck) we ended up putting orders again and we forgot what we added on previous order so started doing it and don’t know even if there is in preparation for us, one of the adults asked if her order is ok and they working on it and waiter said yes so she didn’t order any thing in the second time and what happened that nothing was in preparation for her and she ended up not eating. Then waiter came back after 10 minutes already after 9:30 with no food even after we ordered again saying because it is late there is no food. I can not believe it really . So they did not prepare the initial order because they judged the we ordered a lot and won’t be able to finish and then when we ordered again they didn’t prepare as it was too late, so we ended up paying 120$ for the All you can eat scam and leaving restaurant hungry , can you believe that . And the rest of the crew we coming defending the situation and to make it better they prepared a sushi plate for us with 15 pieces for a party of 7 people to eat. we love sushi and that was our first visit to the place and was planning to make it our favourite place to go every month for sushi but we also know how clients should be treated and that unfortunately was the worst experience for us in all restaurants that we went to.

We arrived at 8:30, they took the order and got us a little portion, yet they came and said it’s 9:30 and can’t get us the rest of the order as they close at 9:30. I told them we already placed the order far before 9:30 and they had to give us a last order time and they didn’t
I will never go to this restaurant again anymore

Came back for another all you can eat and was extremely fresh and delicious. Great service from Joe. I recommend the shu mai, tamago sushi, and golden California roll.

We celebrated a birthday here and everyone enjoyed the dining experience. We will be coming again for more!

Went here for a birthday dinner, was really disappointed by the food quality. The fish had almost no flavor, the rice was super dry. Seaweed salad tasted weird, tempura was soggy. Not nearly as good as Takara. Starting to think all the 5-star reviews are fake.

Great all-you-can-eat sushi. Brought my 9 year old here for her birthday - we were both super happy with the food and left feeling satisfied.
I really like that there's a kids price since they're not generally going to eat as much, and it helps make it more affordable.
Everything we had tasted fresh and as good as I would expect. I liked both the snowstorm roll and the story lobster roll, and would generally recommend them.
Just make sure you're not in a rush - they get busy and have a fairly small staff, so you'll probably end up with stretches of waiting. Overall, though, they do a great job of trying to keep things moving along - there's just so much that any given person can do. It's a comfortable and pleasant restaurant, so the wait is only a minor point

Decent sushi at a good price. Word of advice though, don’t order pickup online. If you call or order pickup in person they may have some “pickup specials” based on how much you spend. I ordered online, went to pick up in store, and saw that there were pickup specials, so I asked if I could have them included in my order and I was told no by the gentleman at the front desk, which was disappointing.

I’ve never had a bad experience when I bring my family here. Great people and all you can eat…..seriously

Good Hibachi, Sushi and Tempora. Sushi in particular was fresh, well prepared and comparable to other good Sushi restraunts in area. Good house Sake. Not served buffet style. You order everything individually and they make it for you.
Really amazing value for lunch or dinner if you like Japanese food. Will be back to try Ramen and have more great Sushi. Definitely made my favorites list.

Went there for a Sunday AYCE dinner. The experience was unexpected pleasant! Although the max number of sashimi pieces one can order was limited to 15/person, the size of each piece was decently large. Spicy salmon and Chef salad tasted so good. We also ordered several signature rolls, hibachi and teriyaki, and ramen. All of them were great. The staffs were also really helpful and friendly. I was quite happy with the 30 bucks I spent here.

Outstanding service and great food.

Rude staff. Terrible business model. Would not allow me to order food for my children off the menu and me to do the all you can eat. Made everyone choose one option. We left and are going to Takara Station. Avoid Sake Sushi at all costs.

Excellent food and helpful friendly staff with a menu that should have something for anyone, this place is now one of my go-tos here in Madison.

Okay all-you-can-eat. Can be busy and service is okay, but nothing was really stand-out.

This was a wonderful family dinner! Kids 3 and under are free and all you can eat is only $8 for 4-6 yr olds! Wine was BYGO during happy hour. Our kids got to pick a bunch of snack plates (3 and 6 yr olds love snacks!) We parents got delicious sushi. Service was perfect. Couldn't have asked for a better Friday family night out. ❤️

We went here twice. The first time was decent, so we went back. Part of going out to eat isn't just the food but also the service and experience. We were treated like trash and disrespected by management. It is disappointing to have an entire day ruined because they don't know how to treat people and operate a business. It seems like most of the time they are fine, but they sure did ruin our day and treat us horrible. It left a bad taste in my mouth. It is sad because it would have been a 4 or 5 star. Owners: Make sure the experience matches the food and don't be petty.

Good food! You sit down and check off boxes from a list provided, they bring you the food. The atmosphere is a little... Undecided? It's not really themed and could use a new coat of paint.

Bummed that they changed to all you can eat sushi. We frequented here before the change. The sushi used to be fresh, amazing, and beautiful and artistically served. Our sushi was disappointing. Bland tasting at best, one roll was nearly inedible. The presentation was also bland which would be fine if the sushi tasted good but not the case. The atmosphere was also uninviting: very bright lighting not in a good way. People may like the all you can eat rolls and fried appetizers but for those that like good sushi this sadly isn’t it.

Wonderful food, and wonderful service. I'll be returning here often!
There may be more expensive and slightly better sushi in Madison, but you simply cannot beat their all-you-can-eat dinner menu.
This place has filled the all-you-can-east sushi void in my soul.

Service was very good and quick! Food came out quickly and our server paid very close attention to our table. Sushi was very good and so was the miso soup! Would come again.

I have been here maybe 5 times. Lunch and dinner. Every time everything was fresh and tasty.
The only thing that I don’t like is the paper tablecloths, those are getting a bit sticky and creates a vibe of un cleanliness.

All you can eat sushi in Madison! We came in during lunch on a weekend so prices were dinner prices but it was definitely worth it. The menu is huge and includes many of the entree items as part of the AYCE selection. Appetizers were great and so was the quality of the fish.

We realized the "You will pay for the leftovers" sign after we checked all the boxes!!! Yes, that was delicious! But tooo much :-D. The only recommendation: Be patient. You still can order more:).
The staff was very friendly.

Honestly don’t know how this place has the rating it does. Maybe it’s because I’ve been to actually good all you can eat sushi places, but this isn’t one. If I had ordered anything I got at all you can eat as a normal entree I would have been pretty mad. Food wasn’t awful but definitely Wasn’t good. service was pretty poor as well, wouldn’t be back.

Service was great and food was great. Great variety considering the $19.99 for lunch. Only issue I had was that eel nagiri is supposed to be warm as if it came off of the coals. This was cold as if it came right out the fridge. Also, the seaweed salad was served on top of lettuce. That was disappointing. Other than that, great experience..
