Came here a couple days ago and was so disappointed. We came here a little after 5:30 and the conveyor belt didn’t have that much sushi on it. I grabbed one of the sushi tempura and it was cold, seems like it had been there for a while. The sushi took so long that even the couple that sat a few minutes after us, walked out.
The service is so terrible as well, if my kids wasn’t starving, I would have walked out too. The wait help ask us for our drink and I said water for us and he only came out with 2 waters just for me and my husband, uhmmm don’t he see the kids with us, don’t they need water too? He also just gave 2 chopsticks for me and my husband, I would’ve understand if he came back for forks for the kids but NO he didn’t, my husband had to go to the waithelp and asked for forks and at this time he ordered udon for my son, this is probably 5-10 mins after we sat down that we ordered the udon. At 6:05 my husband asked how’s the udon, waithelp said he’ll check on it. At 6:10 I asked the waithelp if the udon is coming as my son is so hungry. At 6:18 I asked again coz we’re almost done eating and the udon is still not coming out. The udon came out around 6:20ish. We waited about 30 mins for an udon that has only broth, noodles and onion on it. I didn’t enjoy our dinner as I couldn’t eat while I see my kid waiting patiently for his food and it wasn’t arriving.
We came here a few months ago and we enjoyed it, the sushi was good, the conveyor belt was full of food and the service was great at that time, they even gave away those little clips at the end of the chopsticks for the kids, my kids enjoyed it at that time, that’s why we decided to come back and bring our friends with us. But this time, it was a let down, I regret bringing friends here. Our group of friends were disappointed as well, they asked for extra bowl for their kids and they had to asked 3 times for it to arrived. I don’t recommend this place at all, go somewhere else especially if you have kids.

Nice experience. Short wait for seating at bar for lunch. Has normal eggrolls, Gyoza, and other items for someone like me who doesn't touch sushi. My wife enjoyed the salmon & salmon belly negri and was happy that they had Tamari (gluten free soysauce). At the price point per plate she says the quality of fish is adequate. Wasn't the best she ever had, but says it was better than Trappers and much better than what you get at a QFC. Overall service was good and had great conversation with other guests.

Very unique items on the conveyor belt, you'll sure be entertained! IMO it is overpriced. 2pc of ikura for $8. 2pc of tamago for almost $4 etc. You'll be paying for the experience. Their Korean chicken wings is so spicy! Yakisoba is the best Yakisoba ever. Indulge and have fun. There's a single bar style sitting or a booth sitting. Servers were excellent.

The husband and I had lunch here yesterday and I have to say the service was excellent. The young man that helped us was incredibly professional, polite and attentive. He is exactly what you would want every front of house employee to be. I couldn't have been more impressed watching him train a new employee and help the entire restaurant because he was alone.
The food however is ok. My only yet biggest issue is everything that was on the belt was ice old. You can order everything fresh but when you do they make multiples of the items to add to the belt but there wasn't enough people inside at the time to require the amount of food that was still going around and around. We made the mistake of grabbing some fried oysters that were ice cold and even some of the new items they were adding were too cold.
The best roll we had was the C Roll it's a California roll topped with creamy scallop and although the roll was bland the creamy scallop topping was incredible I've honestly never had better. The Korean BBQ wings were also extremely well fried and juice but the sauce was a little too thick and overwhelming but it left a really nice aftertaste of spicy garlic goodness. The Golden Road roll had too much sauce and was way too sweet for my liking and we didn't care for the dynamite roll. My husband enjoyed the mackerel nigiri and the gyoza but overall it was really pricey for the quality and there are better all you can eat sushi places where you can get more for less.
They have the tuxedo mousse cake for a dessert option as well and that's hard to resist.

This place is really good, I love sushi and the conveyor belt is usually full! It seems to take a minute though when you order something from the “kitchen,” like an order of salmon sashimi w/o the rice under it, I can see the chefs making stuff for the belt for ten minutes before they seem to acknowledge that someone is waiting for something else? But overall great place! Parking is a little tricky but that’s not their fault

I have always wanted to try conveyor belt sushi, and I finally did!!! Now, I'm not huge on sushi, but the tempura shrimp was so good. Light and crispy. Not greasy. The Korean ribs were delicious, and the eel was very good. The whole experience was something that I really enjoyed. The staff was incredible. They constantly checked on us and made sure we had what we wanted. It's definitely a fun time and a must do!! SOOOOO GOOOOOOD!!

I’m sorry but I paid wayyyyyu too much for crappy sushi with paper thin sliced fish! It is not a good value at all! Seriously? I thought you had the freshest most affordable sushi. I feel completely ripped off! I could have gone to a sushi place that isn’t a belt run sushi and had a better experience with actual fish to taste the flavor for the same amount of money ! So disappointed and sad! You guys need to level up with your profit! Sorry but this was way too expensive for what little I ended up eating! Besides overdoing the fillers and probably 5 cents of fish! Embarrassing!

I always like to try new conveyor sushi places because you get to sample a lot of their menu the first time around. There were a lot of staples I enjoyed seeing and several rarer ones, including stuffed jalapeños and being able to get takoyaki. I'd never had a monkey brain roll before, but a friend had, and it was really good. One of the rolls had fresh jalapeños too, you can tell from the crunch! The staff was very attentive and good about refilling our drinks. All in all, an enjoyable experience and we're up for coming back.

Very yum but anything meant to be hot is cold if it's on the belt, better to order those ones from your waiter instead

One of if not the only conveyer belt sushi play around Puyallup. They almost always have fresh roles and Sushi going around, and the taste stays fresh. Last time i went one of the waiters kept coming by asking if we need anything which was a bit annoying but overall a good experience.

I've been coming to this restaurant for at least 10 years now and it's always a great time. The food is great, the service is great, and prices are pretty typical for revolving sushi. Today I ate 12 pieces of salmon nigiri and left happy and full.

First time trying it and I know we're going back. Food was awesome. The price is about in the middle as sushi places go. Their hand rolls are amazing. You can get stuff off the conveyor belt or order. Eat in or to-go orders.
Watching the food go around reminds me of fashion show.
My only criticism is that I wish they used Krab that is GF and switch to a hf flour for their baked good and such like their yakitori and goyza
Oh! They do have gluten free soy sauce on request

If I could give zero stars I would have. My boyfriend and I have been here multiple times in the past as it’s been one of our favorite spots for date night. However this was by far the WORST experience we’ve had in terms of service.
Upon arrival we asked if there was a booth available, and the server that sat us said that they usually use the booths to seat parties of 4 or more. This made sense at the time since it was busy, but, moments after we were seated at the conveyer belt seats, they sat a different couple at the booths with no issue. Then our server comes by and says that they are closing soon and will be stopping the conveyer belt and if we want sushi we have to order from the menu due to them closing soon. This was at 7pm. They close at 9pm. At that point my boyfriend and I paid for our check and left because we were kind of fed up. I normally don’t leave reviews like this but this situation was kind of ridiculous. Very disappointed as this is a great sushi place.

When they say “freshest, most affordable sushi in town,” it’s TRUE!!! For Puyallup!! We came in on a Saturday night at 7:45 pm, and immediately seated. Well the selection was lacking in a major way, the menu print was puny with no descriptions/pricing, we made our first plate selection and then were told they were doing last call for rolls so we ordered. It took almost 30 minutes and the place was closed down!! It’s barely 8:45 now 😂 They were short, unwelcoming and just rude. The water was on point though and likely the best part of the visit. We’ll go without sushi next time. Good luck with it.

Pricey, but high quality sushi and Japanese small plate items in a fun, self-serve, conveyor belt setup. The variety is decent and you can make special requests. As they charge by the small plate, expect to spend more than you would for a standard sushi meal. The service is only average and the servers don't seem to know the ingredients of the sushi rolls, so asking questions can be difficult.

Best sushi place in greater Seattle area.
This restaurant was excellent in every criteria a restaurant can have. From parking to payment after dinning, I had such a pleasant experience.
When restaurants are evaluated for Michelin star, there are five criteria: The taste of the food, A consistently excellent dining experience , Savoir-faire , High-quality produce, and Chefs with a mastery of culinary techniques. I will elaborate my supreme dining experience at this restaurant according those criteria.
1. The taste of the food.
- Amazing. I am from Korea and had numerous top tier Omakases in my life from Osaka, Seoul, Dubai, and New York; all with multiple Michelin stars. Well, of course it's not on that level, but the taste they provide is utterly the best in this area for sure. I went to various sushi places for 6 years in King County but they all failed to satisfy to be my go-to sushi place. Until I stumbled upon this place. Unless I'm in Osaka or New York, I will go to this place for the genuine taste of sushi.
2. A consistently excellent dining experience.
If you were my friend, you will be quite annoyed every time you go out with me. The amount of skepticism I have towards the average American diners($$-$$$) is beyond your imagination. If I were to spend my money and time to be served, I want to have a good time there. Before I went in the restaurant, I thought this place looked like any other teriyaki place where it serves frozen chicken. My mind changed 180 as soon as I walked through the door. It had a cozy vibe and the sitting was straight forward. Also, the server who guided us to our seat was very humble and kind. How I grade this criteria is based on how I feel during the car ride home. Feel bad = 1 star, Don't think about any experience I had there = 4 star, I keep thinking about the experience I had for 30 minutes = 5 star. I will give 5.
3. Savoir-faire
meaning "the ability to act or speak appropriately in social situations" in french, this will be for the servers.
I always leave the fattest tip to the server here. I hope that explains.
4. High-quality produce
For the money you pay, you know that this is the best you can get. I can't eat the frozen h-mart sushis anymore after eating the sushi. I wonder how they even make profit with such a good ingredient.
5. Chefs with a mastery of culinary techniques
I forgot to take a picture so please feel free to look at the photos other people posted while reading this review. If you pay attention to the detail, you will find how the sashimis have such a consistency on its width and height. That's masterclass level. If the same food is served on top of the space needle, you would pay $1,000 more for everything you will experience in that place.
I envy you people of Puyallup. Must go.

I’ve maybe been here too many times. Sure, conveyor belt sushi is a novelty, but it’s a really good novelty.
The quality is there at Forever Sushi: you can expect great sushi at affordable prices, a fun atmosphere, and some excellent offerings.
I always try something new when I go here, and they have some good choices for people who aren’t super hyped on sushi. Also the miso soup here slaps??? Like more than a normal sushi place.
Overall just an excellent place for lunch or dinner, and I’ll be back many times I’m sure. What a gem in Puyallup!

Service is good but sushi wasn't that great. I don't know if they keep track of how long the sushi is on the belt but you could tell it was left on for a while. Portions are also small for the price. I've eaten at places with bigger portions for cheaper and tasted better.

SO FAST. And great prices!! So much sushi for your dollar. So yummy

The conveyor belt itself was fun, it was slightly awkward trying to take the plates off of it, but fun nevertheless.
The waiters kept coming around asking if we needed anything and when we needed a drink refill, they got it within a few minutes.
The items presented wasn't everything that was on the menu and when they did make more , it was just the same things that were already out. The sushi was pretty good. It just seems like they could have done more with a lot of it.

Service was good but food was horrendous. I barely made it to their bathroom before I puked out my guts and the two other individuals with me also were sick. Food that should have been hot was cold. And the sushi seemed to have been sitting for quite some time as some of it was warm. We informed the staff of our issues and nothing was said they came with a small handheld computer and had us pay and seemed to be rushing us out. Mind you this was before 5pm on a Saturday. Will never go back.

I would have done 5 stars, but I can't stand false advertising. Their menu said several dishes could be ordered as half items and the server said he never heard of that and wouldn't let us. Sharpie on your menus is better than miss information.
Otherwise, the conveyor belt was fun and easy. The sushi was mediocre, but for the price and variety I was happy. I really enjoyed the non sushi options on the belt too, like tempura and desserts. I would recommend expanding those options for our non fish loving partners.
Pictured is octopus and new york cheesecake.

I’ve been coming here for years. But the prices are now way to high, it’s about $4-7 per plate. When they used to be $1-5$. The price wouldn’t matter if the quality was better but it’s just gone down hill, EVERYTHING was cold and soggy. Server was nice but we had to ask for soy sauce, wasabi and our bill. By everything going down hill, I mean the wasabi was blue. I know it’s fake horseradish, but it was blue. I used to love this place but it just made me sad to eat there.
Visited 2 years ago
It’s grossly overpriced! YOU MUST ASK FOR THE BILL, they over charge. The food is mediocre.

From the moment we stepped into the serene environment we knew we were in for a treat. The sushi overall tasted great (the shrimp tempura roll was my personal favorite) the service was amazing, the staff members were not only attentive and efficient but also very fun! The art also took me away on how accurate the drawings were to the servers. Overall I would greatly recommend trying this place out, this won't be my last dining in

Food is good for the price. The service was terrible. I understand that it's a conveyor, but I still need a drink. There's also multiple options that you have ask a server for. There was four young servers. They only came by once and that was due to us stopping them. They were up front talking and hiding each other's shoes on the coolers. While all the customers watched. It ruins the experience.

Made the mistake of trying out the conveyor belt sushi, which was still full priced yet warm when I expected cold, bland and overpriced for what it was. The nigiri 🍣 had almost no flavor and was warm (salmon, tuna, albacore). California rolls were ironically the best tasting there, the bbq eel was so-so.
This is definitely far from a good tasting sushi place.

We have consistently had very good sushi here and pretty good service. Prices have been raised post pandemic like every other place, so it is no longer an excellent value as it once was. The appeal of this place is that you’re able to sample smaller portions of a much wider variety of sushi than if you have to buy a whole roll - like at Trappers. You’re able to be a bit adventurous without fully committing. And the conveyor belt makes it more fun - especially for kids.

Forever Sushi is a family favorite! The owner is such a delight and she's always treating the kids! My favorite dishes are the mussels and baked lemon salmon! Definitely check this place out!

We have been going here since they opened and have had the chance to watch them grow. Miss seeing the owners on a regular basis. Food is always great!!

Everything tasted mushy and bland. I’ve never had sushi with mushy rice and mushy fish and mushy vegetables. It just was not good. Two stars for being quick and getting the order correct.

I love a place with a sushi conveyor belt. You get to see all the selections before picking, and you can try so many different plates. It is also great if you just want a quick bite.

The food was great but when I went to use the rest room it was covered in puke it was terrible

We went towards the end of the night and there were a lot of rolls not on the belt. But if you’re looking to try different types of sushi with out committing to a whole roll this is the way to do it. Go earlier in the day when there’s more to choose from.

Oh we absolutely love this place! They make delicious sushi (though most sushi is amazing). The service is great. There is the sweetest lady who, I believe, runs the place. She's wonderful to even see helping others. This is definitely one of our usual spots and it's easy to gauge your spending.

Prices skyrocketed!!!!!

Had high hopes but not my favorite. Not very flavorful and I felt like most of their options were the same. Especially for how expensive it was
Visited 2 years ago
The food quality is expected for the pricing. Fairly cheap, especially by today's standards. But with it being cheap, means the ingredients are also cheap, and it can be very noticeable in some of the rolls and sides, especially things that came from frozen bags like egg rolls for example.
But if you want a quick cheap bite to eat with some friends while having a good and fun experience, it's still with the lower quality food.
The only real issue to be had is the cleanliness. Stains on the walls, sticky looking sauce's on the window behind the conveyor belt, etc.

Surprisely , taste better than most sushi joints I went in washington , from Lynnwood all way to tacoma , a kura style belt sushi joint , I work behind this place for 8 years , as chef , hang out with the boss lady behind in break time for years , never came before to her place , now I visit her , greeted with laugh !! So surprise sushi quality is superb, and she plan to open a hiro , another even bigger and more hype spot in federal way, ... a must go. 👌

We ordered salmon sashimi and it had barely any flavor. The pieces are all very thinly sliced and small, but the prices are higher than even nicer places in Woodinville or Issaquah. Not a great experience overall. Would not recommend if you are looking for quality, or even passable sushi.

1/21/2023 I honestly can say service here has gotten bad while getting very expensive. I've been going to forever sushi since 2018, but sadly tonight might have been the last time. If I'm spending $200+ I'll go somewhere with better service

We absolutely love this place, I like they have not only sushi on the conveyor they also have goyza, salads, dessert and they have uni which is one of my favorites but hard to come by. You can also order things like yakisoba or fried rice which comes in HUGE portions!! We usually try to beat the dinner rush between 2-4 is less busy. Excellent experience, nice friendly staff AND THE PRICE IS AFFORDABLE! I couldn't believe we tried several varieties and ordered a side for under $50 for 3 people!

The service was good, the wait staff were very attentive. The food was good as well.
Not like a 5/5 but they are still a 4/5. Some of the sushi was kinda eh.
But overall still a good place. Will recommend for a quick and easy sushi bite spot.

I have gone here for years, it was the first place I ever tried sushi at. Im older now with two kids and I love to bring my kids with me and the staff not only are incredible towards my kids but the food has remained just as amazing as it always has been. They would bring me small utensils and bowls for my youngest without me even asking so he didn't have to eat out of large portion bowls for adults. My daughter waited for awhile for a certain food on the conveyor belt that didn't show up and she quietly asked one of the gentlemen on the other side of the belt if they could make her one and they were so sweet and so excited she asked and brought some out to her straight away. They are also priced reasonably and have an assortment of sake, Japanese and American beer. GREAT family environment and still a fabulous place for date night. I will go here for as long as they are here

Great people make for great service and sushi variety is still tops. I can't remember a birthday in the last 10 years where we didn't go there. Other than every other time we go. We always feel like family.

Visited on a Wednesday night. The food was good but very lacking in variety. More choices on the conveyor belt would be nice. Service was almost non-existent and the restaurant was so cold that we ate with our coats on.

Food/Taste/Flavor: 2/5 - Forever sushi is right since it stays on the belt forever. We didn't eat much since the items on the belt look dry and wilting. The "wasabi" was in a container at the table and slightly turning brown with no spiciness or kick.
Started with the Shrimp Tempura and Spicy Krab Rolls which were average. Can't really taste the tempura but the textures were good.
Octopus Nigiri was good with nice texture and chew. The rice was a bit drier so not sure if it's been sitting on the belt for a while
Squid Salad was good but very inconsistent cuts! With tiny pieces that we could barely pick up to ones about the size of a nigiri. Very well marinated with some ginger to help cut through
Ordered Salmon Belly through server. The nigiri was a bit odd since the rice and fish was a bit warm when we ate it. The rice was slightly off since it was a bit mushy.
Golden Road ordered through the server was another shrimp tempura with mango sauce and some sort of chili sauce on it. Definitely on the sweeter side.
Ambience: 4/5 - it feels like organized clutter with things everywhere and on the walls. The set up of the restaurant was a bit odd since the people making the sushi are in the middle but at such a height and with things around them that we can't see what they're actually making. No or really faint music. We did come at the end of the night so there was some trash on the floor.
Service: 4/5 - lad was friendly and tried to help. Definitely can feel it's the end of the night since everyone is just trying to make it to the end of the shift and get out of there.
Value for price: 3/5 to 1/5 because I'm upset and the pricing is all over the place! When we sat down, they said to let the server know if there's anything unavailable and he can place the order. The menu in front of us said that the Golden Road roll was part of the red/orange plate at $4.95. But we were charged $7.43 because the price is $14.85 with 50% discount since we got 4 pieces. The server said he doesn't know why, maybe it's 3 vs 4 pieces, but that's just the pricing in the system and he can't change it. Just realized we were charge more for the salmon belly as well!
Here's a comparison of the prices between in store vs online:
Shrimp tempura roll: $4.95 vs $4.47
Spicy krab roll: $6.45 vs $6.47
Octopus nigiri: same at $3.95
Squid salad: $4.45 vs $3.95
Salmon belly nigiri: $4.45 vs $4.95
Golden road: $4.95 vs $7.43
They charge you the online price if you order with the server, even if you're eating in the store. Also, he just showed the total amount on the device and asked us to pay. They don't give you an itemized receipt to show you what they're charging you unless you specially ask.
Would recommend to just go to a different place since it'll be a surprise when the bill comes!

Food was mediocre at best. ...tempura shrimp cold on the belt was very unappealing. Thought would be a good way to introduce my grandson to sushi, he is still not sold on the idea
