Season's Teriyaki and Sushi

My Grandma and I ate lunch here. When we first walked in, my grandma was walking in front of me. I’m 8 months pregnant and needed to use the restroom before sitting down. I asked the waitress where the restroom was. She thought I was not sitting down to eat so she was about to deny me using the restroom until my grandma asked if the table she chose would work for me. Then the waitress said yes bathroom is in the back. She had an attitude and I was not ok with that. However the food was excellent. This was my first time here, hopefully the next time I come, I have better service.

Wow, we drove by this area for gas on our way from Vancouver to Olympics park, and just picked this place for dinner. I did not have high expectations, but this turns out to be one of the best sushi I have ever had in my life! My boyfriend made fun of me for going to a Japanese restaurant while traveling as we live in Vancouver (it’s known that local food in Vancouver is Japanese food), but this place amazed both of us!! We’d been to sushi places that charge > $100 per person but the nigiri here is even better than those fancy restaurants! This is a hidden gem for sure!

My to-go sushi order was inedible. Could be an off experience, I've eaten there in person and their hot dishes were fine. They did their best on presentation but the decorative kale was turning yellow with spots and the rolls tasted off; spit it out and threw away and only ate the rangoons.

Owner and staff are amazing and always nice. It's hard to find good sushi after leaving King County. This is one of two spots I go to for sushi. I've only had their sushi so I can't comment on their other food but other customers seem pleased when I am there.

We came to get Pho next door but the smell of teriyaki had us changing our minds as we walked by. We were super thrilled to see sushi there as there aren’t many sushi places in Lacey. We got the chicken and prawn teriyaki which came with egg drop or miso soup and we got a couple of sushi rolls and I was very impressed! We will be back! Thank you! -Olympic Car Co

Very friendly woman working the front of the house. Clean establishment. Eight of us stopped in from our office. She took our orders, delivered our drinks and soup in a very timely manner. All of our meals looked beautiful, had great flavor and served hot (for the hot dishes). The sushi was great. We will be back for sure.

Do not worry if you do not know what to order, the chef is very helpful and will guide you! They have saki! They have Korean Chinese and Japanese cuisine. They food is excellent quality and you can thank me later just go they will make sure you have an enjoyable experience!

The workers were very welcoming and kind, they answered all of the questions I had.
The food was so fresh and delicious, the garnishes realy elevate and enhance the flavors of the nigiri/hand roll. It was also plated beautifully.
The salmon was wonderfully soft and fatty, and the uni handroll was sweet and creamy, definitely the best uni I've ever had!

I have been coming here since I was a child and now well into my twenty's I continue to come here. Not only has the food been amazing every single time I've come, but the employees and service received has been some of the most outstanding and I constantly find myself comparing other restaurants to the high standards Seasons has set. Lived in the area for five years and I didn't walk through the door until about four months ago I wish I had done it sooner.The food is fantastic with a fair price,Personable staff that makes me feel comfortable and I believe it's the owner that I spoke with that loves his hawks but not my 9rs hat so much. We were really excited to try this place, but we left utterly confused by the reviews and the experience. The sushi looked great, but tasted either salty or fishy, depending on the roll and the tempura was mushy and over cooked. When brought to the attention of the owner, he just argued with us. I will say the egg drop soup was delicious.
Needless to say, we will not be back. At least if I go out for fine dining, I’ll be spending just as much, but I’m more likely to get ambiance and better service.

We haven't had a proper sushi date spot in so long! Definitely the best we have had so far. Highly recommend. Service was great, very friendly and lowkey! The Mongolian beef and salmon lovers roll were delicious, and I loved the soup too! It's a chill atmosphere. My husband really liked the sake too.

Disappointing Customer Service Experience

My experience was severely marred by poor customer service. Here’s what happened:

I ordered a dish with extra chicken through the restaurant's app. Due to an error, I wasn’t charged for the extra chicken. When I arrived to pick up my order, I was met by the cook/sushi chef who, in an angry tone, informed me that there was a fee for extra chicken and that I should have been charged.

I calmly explained that I was unaware of the error and had no problem paying the additional fee. However, instead of addressing the situation professionally, the chef continued to be rude. The wife stepped in, saying, “OK, thank you ordering” then chef, looked at her (while I’m standing in front of them), “But I have to cook it,” in a way that made me feel unwelcome and uncomfortable.

The chef could have simply said, "I'm sorry for the inconvenience, we’ll take care of it right away." A little bit of politeness and professionalism goes a long way in ensuring customer satisfaction.

This was not my first encounter with poor customer service at this restaurant. On my initial visit, I witnessed the same chef being rude to an employee who appeared to be in training to be a sushi maker. The employee made a sushi roll that the chef didn’t like, prompting the chef to ask aggressively, “What the heck is this, man?” before throwing the sushi off to the side. This display of aggression towards a staff member was shocking and unprofessional.

Sadly, this experience has left a sour taste in my mouth, and I am reluctant to return.

It's cozy place that serves good food made by good people. We usually order takeout once a month and it's consistently great. I usually get the half chicken teriyaki/ half sweet and sour chicken and my wife gets chicken teriyaki.

Ordered the Jajangmyeon and family deal total was $71 plus tips. Overall food is over priced for very mid food. First the server did not seem to want to be there while we were ordering our food. We finally got our first order b jajangmyeon the lady that came to serve us (most likely the owner) did not greet us or say anything she placed the food on the table quickly and ran back to the kitchen mind you it was very slow and I can see why. After that got our family deal and let me say the portion should not be called a family meal the amount of food was so little it could only feed my husband and I. (There was not enough for my niece and nephew) It should be called dinner for two and not a family meal. The food was okay i have had been to other local teriyaki that has better food. Overall if I could rate this a 0 I would but he we are and I am letting you know now not to trust the google reviews for this place. I’d rather you go somewhere else where you would be treated nicely and actually get your money worth.

Family meal was barely enough to feed 4 people. Too pricey for how little portion they give, and they didn’t even include utensils or teriyaki sauce.
We saw how the Korean lady treated other Korean customers nicely, but when she came to us she treated us poorly and with attitude because we’re not Korean. Very concerning and discriminatory of their customers.

Finally a sushi restaurant that has not succumb to high fish prices, briefly talked to sushi chef, he stated it’s about his customers. I commented that I commend him for not reducing fish portions like the rest of the sushi restaurants that I no longer frequent. I had lunch sushi bento and salmon nigiri, I will say this, the fish portions were awesome nice thick slices with fresh flavor, I will make the trip just to enjoy the pre-Covid portions. One each satisfied sushi connoisseur ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Update, went again the Sushi chef knows I like the sea bass nigiri, he recognized me, added a special touch, as always delicious sushi. I’m done trying other places, this is my sushi spot. Again sushi chef added a special touch treated me to an otoro nigiri, what an unexpected treat, thank you. I've literally came here since high school back in early 2000s. I've always enjoyed eating here with friends and family. I always tip well. Always. Yet, I hate predatory surcharges.

Today I brought a group of friends that never eaten here before. Their first experience turned from good to bad at the end. Why? Because of a 20% service charge for a group of 5 or more.

I've never seen this charge before regardless of eating here with 5+ people all the time.

I'm brining friends to come enjoy sushi and teriyaki and introducing them to your restaurant and then to tack a 20% surcharge at the end was the worst idea you could have done.

I'm upset. I'm appalled at this tipping culture out here. I normally tipped 25-30% eating here in past because I always enjoy the food. But there's a bitterness that forces you into a 20% mandatory tip regardless simply from brining 5 people.

Be thankful to your customers who bring new people into your establishment. Reward them. Cherish them. I can't tell you how many people I've recommended this restaurant and now I can't. I simply can't over an automatic surcharge. It's predatory. We came in off hours where the lobby was empty. You won't see me back in sometime. Best of luck!

I protest any group surcharge restaurant and refuse to eat at establishments that have them and can never recommend them to my friends, family, or peers.

Love this place! It's quality sushi with good rice, at a price that beats most everywhere else in town. I can't speak for their other food beyond sushi. I've only really had the nigiri, as I'm not huge on rolls, but it's quality! You can't really beat the price for quality here. Solid 4/5 quality

Wasn't impressed. Food was okay. Soup was a clear broth with cabbage and carrots. Salad dressing was a honey mustard concoction that I wasn't expecting from this style of restaurant. Waitress would not show me the bill before she scanned my card and wanted me to choose a tip. Would I return? No.

Chef always takes time to make our 24 Piece Sashimi boat with high quality presentation. All food we have ever tried was top quality for flavor and freshness. Our wonderful and smiling hostess is always pleasant and always makes sure our drinks are filled and that we are enjoying our food. If you want high quality food with exciting flavor, go here. I can’t comment on the in-house service or atmosphere at Seasons Teriyaki as we ordered for home delivery, but I give them 5 stars for their food. Everything is excellent! We especially loved the shrimp tempura sushi rolls, OMG!

I would like to add our experience with an online lunch order web placed through their website. We chose to order through them directly so presumably they would get all the tips instead of having to share with a big delivery service. That suggestion is written at their website and I heartily agreed, so we placed a large lunch order: several orders of sushi, some appetizers and a few entrees, order total about $150.00.

Upon checking out there were spaces for tips for the restaurant and the driver so I figured I would tip both generously since I would have had to pay more through a delivery service.

I received an email confirmation for the order that seemed to come from the restaurant, with a link to track delivery. However, when the order arrived it was delivered by UberEats. Hmmm. I had thought we were avoiding that, but… Then upon checking the order total I saw that there were over $70 in tips, including $28 for fees and an additional delivery fee of $6.45.

To try to rectify the excessive yet possibly accidental tips and charges, I first checked with UberEats for help. Unfortunately they had no record of the order and couldn’t help me without an order number. I then called the restaurant to ask for the order number, as it wasn’t shown on our email confirmation, and also to see what could be done from their end. However, they also said there was nothing they could do as our order was sent through their 3rd party service, and somehow didn’t know the name or a way to reach them. I then made another call to UberEats but they restated that they had no way to track my order without an order number, and as I had no order number, there was nothing they could do.

So that was it, we were stuck in the middle with no recourse or resolution. And actually, the entire issue came about solely because of a poorly designed and executed website, and had nothing to do with the restaurant. I’m hoping they can get it fixed before another customer walks into a similar problem.

Please know that Seasons Teriyaki’s food is absolutely delicious! Our ordering experience should not detract from their outstanding reputation. Just carefully consider your options if you decide to place an order through their website. Better yet, I suggest you call them directly and place your order over the phone, if that’s possible. Or just dine there in person. You will not be disappointed!

I go in multiple times a week during my lunch hour. Service is always amazing and the sushi is divine. The owners know me and my order now so when I walk in we mostly make small talk while I pay. If you want a nice place to eat quality sushi and relax then this is the place.

We had the Bento Boxes. I ordered the Beef Teriyaki. The miso soup was fine. The tempura had a good texture. Never had broccoli before, but the sweet potato was fabulous. The sushi and rice were portioned well, and the teriyaki beef had a good flavor.

Server started off great but after 40 minutes we didn’t have our appetizer, we let her know we no longer wanted them and she proceeded to make them and was upset that we didn’t want it anymore. So we will accepted and paid for them so that they wouldn’t be wasted. In addition, we didn’t get our lunch until an hour after being there with 2 tables who arrived after us getting served before us, plus several walk ins .
On the bright side, the food was good. Except the sashimi (hamachi) was really fatty.

Found this place at random, and called in an order on my way home. What an excellent surprise! The teriyaki combo and each of the sushi rolls we got were better quality than many other places. My partner and I have been enjoying Seasons for about 6 months. It’s our go to for Sushi and Teriyaki, and we go as often as we can afford. It’s the place I went on my birthday when my family was in town. The place I wanted to go after having a medical procedure that required me to fast. You get what I’m saying here? It’s our go to place. We have tried almost all of the Sushi restaurants in the area and we always end up saying, “it’s good but it’s not Seasons.”

It’s not just the food that keeps us coming back to Seasons week after week. The couple that owns this strip mall eatery is kind and caring towards their customers and it keeps others coming back too. They have a regular following of the same people and we overhear the owners talking to many of them like they have been coming there for years. She knows what we like with our meal.. 1 Miso, 1 Egg drop and water.

Tonight we took our family there to celebrate our daughter’s 20th birthday. She didn’t want to go to Red Robin like last year, she wanted Seasons. While we were there we noticed a mom and her kid enjoying Sushi. This kid was probably 6 and he’s devouring his California roll (which was served in a sushi boat, which I’m sure was to his delight) like he hasn’t eaten in days. It was great to see. To our left was an older couple sharing stories with the owner about how long Seasons has been around (almost 20 years) and how there kids have grown up and gone to college. It’s not just about the food, it’s also about the family feel.

No doubt after reading this, you’re planning on giving them a try, so here’s some tips. Go on a weekday and go early, Friday and Saturday can be pretty busy and they are a smaller eatery. Go for lunch. It can be less busy and they have lunch specials. Don’t just go for Sushi. We just ate their sushi for the longest time but decided to try other dishes and we were pleased they were equally delicious. Finally, while you could DoorDash it, you really miss out on the Seasons experience. So get off your couch, throw on some pants and give them a try. I’m sure 6 months from now you will be writing a review just like this.

Food was very good, the fried chicken cutlets were super crispy as they should. The teriyaki was also great, although a little extra sauce to my liking (I prefer a little more dry than drenched in teriyaki). The California roll was made fresh and the wasabi had a great kick. Recommended!

They don't trim their sushi. I have ordered door dash from them numerous times and originally the fish was perfect but the last 3 times I had to trim the fish myself... I gave them a few chances thinking it was a fluke but the first time was the worse with a thick fatty portion of the salmon not trimmed off.

Wow! We were so impressed with the quality and presentation of the food from Season’s Teriyaki. We had assorted sushi rolls and chicken teriyaki. Everything was delicious. Highly recommend.

I ordered a squid salad and California roll and received a very good, and homemade, simple dinner. The price was average but the quality was slightly above. While the food was basic in its form, I could easily tell it was homemade and with an added flare for flavor. The staff is EXTREMELY FRIENDLY and with one experience, I'm willing and wanting to try again. 4 stars instead of 5 because of average portions and prices. If there was slightly more food or slightly cheaper priced this would be an easy 5 star spot.

UPDATE: Well I guess this restaurant depends upon when one goes and what they order. I went back and ordered the chirashi bowl and to my disappointment, I paid $20 and tipped $5 for a small bowl of basic white rice with chewy sashimi on top. Though the menu says fish with rice I expected a little more flair, like a vegetable other than a few sliced cucumber- maybe Daikon radish or sesame seeds on top or something? Im not sure, I just know I way over paid for a chirashi's quality subpar to grocery store sushi. I should have gone to safeway and paid half, leaving at least subtly more satisfied of hunger.

Do you have a cold or sore throat? The spicy seafood noodle soup is amazing. It’s not cheap, because it’s packed with seafood. Broth is deep, spicy and noodles are flavorful.

Pleasantly surprised. It’s amazing the quality of food you’ll find in a teriyaki restaurant! I had take out, but I did go inside to pick up my order. Restaurant appears very clean and organized . Staff was very friendly. Take out presentation was great and very appealing. I only had sushi which was very good, but next time I will come back and try their teriyaki. Very happy with this visit.

We stopped here for dinner and it became an unforgettable experience. It was a cute restaurant with a lot of selections and owner is super friendly. The food is delicious and fresh, I enjoyed the sushi rolls a lot and finished all the food with an empty plate!
What is more, because we had a long day we forgot the bag which has my wallet, ID and quite a lot of personal stuff in the restaurant. And we are flying out the next day! We didn’t realize it until 10 mins passed the restaurant closing time. Luckily the owner answered my call and kindly agreed us to pick it up the next day even when the restaurant would be closed. What a kind heart! We were more than grateful as she literally had to go to the restaurant just for this and she stayed in communication with us all the way until we got the bag.
I would definitely be coming back next time visiting the area and enjoy the food made with such kindness!

This is absolutely the best sushi in Thurston County hands down. Very fresh, excellent sauces and beautiful presentation. Have been going here for years and is always on point. These guys are masters of their craft. If you love sushi you must check this place out.

I wanted to like it but I ordered the special (deep fried rolls) and the breading was soggy and stale. It most definitely tasted like it was made the day before and reheated. Nobody likes old sushi.
The 2 stars are for the teriyaki, which was decent.

Bought lunch for 21 associates (they picked what they wanted between the lunch & Chinese menu) and everyone LOVED their food, including me. I am a vegetarian and the tofu was prepared perfectly! Season’s Teriyaki was a huge hit!

Favorite sushi/teriyaki in lacey and we’ve tried quite a few. Used to live in Lacey and it is the place I stop each time I come back. Love the sushi, so fresh; and chicken and pork teriyaki are awesome. Had the rainbow roll, california roll and salmon nigiri tonight.

Overpriced. They give mushy salad with your food, rather than putting salad in its own container. This way, you only get one side of rice rather than two. Quality of food is okay not the best in town. Happy Teriyaki is a king compared to this place.

Have had various dishes several times from here and service has always been fast. Great sushi, poke and yakisoba. House yakiso a is very good. Normally a 5 star review, however tonight tried the Korean Black noodles (Jajangmyon) almost inedible, extremely salty, tasted like salt was dumped in.. Added two scoops of rice to try and balance it out and did not help much. If this is how this is regularly, cannot recommend it. I have had this dish at numerous restaurants in the states and i. Korea. This ranks as the worst I've ever had. If you have high blood pressure or can't have much salt, stay away from this dish here!

My favorites are the garlic chicken and poke bowl. Yum! Actual veggies it seems compared to the cabbage or romaine lettuce I’ve seen at other places. Poke bowl wasn’t half rice, and a generous amount of raw fish.

AMAZING customer service and DELICIOUS sushi and teriyaki! LOVE that they have deep fried sushi as well. Also my toddler had fallen asleep in the car so I called and asked if I could order through the phone and the lady who answered the call was sweet enough to bring me the menu to my car and also brought my food out once it was done! I really appreciate that! Made mom life a bit easier for me!!

This is for Hot Pho next door, not Seasons Teriyaki. Went to Hot Ginger Pho and was pleasantly surprised. Good hospitality, great service from staff, good portion sizes, and darn good beef teriyaki. I can't wait to go back to Hot Pho

I have enjoyed eating at Season's Teriyaki in the past, but last night's dinner was a huge disappointment. Apparently they have forgotten what vegetables and sauce are used in chow mein. Mine was served with a large pile of seasoned noodles with a small portion of chicken, broccoli, coleslaw shreds and a few bean sprouts. No sauce and 90% noodles. I won't be back.

Note: I was on a trip, mainly only got sushi, and I've only been here once.
We came in around lunch time on a weekend and the tempura vegetables were good. However none of the sushi tasted fresh including the rice.
I would have maybe given it 4 stars but for the price they charge I expected significantly fresher sushi and/or larger portions. Overall I wasn't satisfied and opted for not ordering any more food as I was originally planning.

This is the best teriyaki place in town. All of their food is very fresh. Want quality food made from great people this the place to come. The sweetest lady is there from open the close treat her great. I live in Seattle and still make the drive which is a testament to how great their food is. BEST IN TOWN
