A massive, modern hangout with Italian fare, sushi, bar & a retractable-roof patio.
If you are in the DMV and want top notch service, food and just an overall wonderful experience please visit Greenhouse Bistro!! I recently hosted an event there and Nomi Chaudhry made sure all of my guests were taken care off. Great place, ample parking and some of best drinks in town.

Oh was this an experience, and I wish I could say that in a good way! First I was stopped at the door and told that “hats are not allowed” after explaining that I was wearing a hat for religious reasons, that was allowed and the other gentlemen mentioned “just say it’s a religious reason” (not that I was ever asked about it).
Second, our waitress, Sandra (maybe Alesandra as the music was kind of loud and I may have mis-heard) seemed as though she was more interested in the table behind us on the patio than in assisting us. It took 30 minutes for my party’s first order to come out even though it was a simple order of a single hookah.
Thirdly, when my party was getting ready to leave and requested the check, we were told of a $150 minimum that was mentioned nowhere. Not at the door, not at the second table that requested to hold onto for the tab, not once by the waitress when she took the order and brought out our hookah/drinks. Which even then she messed up and forgot to put in the waters without ice (small issue but understandable, late night). After mentioning the issue regarding the unknown minimum spend, she brought in Mr. Sasha Woo (with no introduction at that).
That brings us to our fourth point; Sasha came in a very argumentative mood. After mentioning the “minimum spend” that was not once mentioned to my party. He questioned our character and credibility with a single statement which I quote “Do I look dumb to you?” Prior to this I tried to tell him that none of the staff mentioned any sort of minimum but he refused to acknowledge that it may have happened. After making this statement, he brought the door staff to the table to clarify the issue and was quickly explained that they in fact did not make any mention of the minimum. Despite this statement from the staff he was still very argumentative and offered no remorse for the attack on my party’s character. Instead he mentioned that he can waive the cover for any females in my party but the males would still have to meet a $50 cover. At this point I reluctantly paid my tab so I can quickly leave the establishment before my character was attacked again.
I would recommend going to another lounge instead of this unless you would like to be treated in such a poor manner.

Pros:
- Has a club-like feeling if that’s your scene
- Live music was great
- More of a mature/less sloppy crowd
Cons:
- Service is pretty bad & drinks/food are overpriced/mediocre
- The security line to get in gets ridiculously long
- The music is way too loud—definitely recommend bringing ear plugs if you don’t like having your ears ring for a week
- Parking is a nightmare the later you arrive
- The hookah smell is overpowering and will make you feel super lightheaded

Disappointment and rip off. I was there on New Year Eve to celebrate the new year!! I paid $55 for what? There was no hat and no champagne 🍾🍾 to make it feel special day. The DJ was boring they advertise international music but he played one kind of genre (Latina music)only ...me and 3 friends were not happy.,.

We got there on Thursday evening at 10( they close at 10). We were party of six, four on site and two on the way from nearby restaurant. When we got there, the hostess informed that they were closing and would only be able to serve one drink. We agreed and proceeded to order and beer and a wine. After serving is the drinks, the bartender informed us that he needs to close the tab immediately, it's 10:15 at that point. We said ok, but just pour another beer and wine for the couple that were parking. He refused saying they need to be on premise. We had other two friends who were not drinking but said serve us instead. The bartender rudely refused. Then we just walked out without touching our drinks. We took our business where it was appreciated.

Greenhouse Bistro is an unsuspecting destination for contemporary American and Italian cuisine, where craft beer flows as freely as water and cocktails are concocted with the care of a chemist. This isn't just a restaurant; it's a culinary garden where urban cuisine is reimagined through a lens that's both modern and distinctly Italian.
Having meandered through their menu on a few occasions, each visit feels like a new chapter in an ongoing gastronomic adventure. The Rockfish, for instance, is a symphony of flavors, with its wild-caught dignity resting atop a bed of creamy sautéed orzo, accompanied by roasted corn and kale, all serenaded by a red pepper coulis. It's a dish that could easily have Neptune himself trading in his trident for a dinner reservation.
The Steamed Mussels, with their garlic tomato sauce and homemade toasted bread, are a testament to the beauty of simplicity. Each mussel is a tender morsel of the sea, captured in a sauce that sings with the freshness of the garden and the warmth of the hearth.
The Greenhouse Salad is a vibrant tapestry of basil, cilantro, romaine, radish, carrot, cherry tomato, onion, cucumber, and walnut, all tossed in a sesame ginger dressing. It's a salad that dances on the palate, proving that not all heroes wear capes--some just come dressed in vinaigrette.
The Burrata Caprese is a love letter to tomatoes, basil, and belgioioso burrata, all draped in balsamic glaze and extra virgin olive oil. It's a dish that could make an Italian nonna weep with joy, capturing the essence of summer in every bite.
Pizza aficionados, fear not, for the Bianca with Prosciutto is a slice of heaven. The salty crispness of the prosciutto pairs impeccably with the creamy dreaminess of the cheese, making for a pizza that's as elegant as it is indulgent.
Now, let's talk about "The Burger"--a culinary masterpiece where brisket, chuck, and short rib blend together in perfect harmony, accented by caramelized onions, green leaf lettuce, tomato, smoked gouda cheese, and a killer sauce, all nestled within a brioche bun. It's the kind of burger that demands a moment of silence before the first bite, a tribute to its sheer perfection.
Last but not least, the Crab & Shrimp Stuffed Salmon, accompanied by mashed potatoes and broccoli and drizzled with a lime butter sauce, is a dish that showcases the magic of the sea and the garden, united in a culinary marriage that's both bold and beautiful.
Greenhouse Bistro, with its blend of American zest and Italian charm, is more than just a dining destination; it's a place where food is both an art and a celebration. Whether you're there for the beer, the ambiance, or the urban garden cuisine, it's a spot that continues to grow on you, one delicious bite at a time.

This is a place that I have traveled 2 hrs away to enjoy the diversity of 2 different dance rooms as of 1-11-25 this establishment has gone down in service to the customer in providing a welcome atmosphere to the latin crowd which is being very diminished and ignored to be only into one dance room ,which security have been told by management that your not aloud to switch into another area of the establishment but to go outside and re-enter through the front of the building which I think it's very unprofessional and unconsiderate of treating your customers that way! Feeling very sad for the servers that used to get a good tip on latin night as they also have a family to feed and take care of. Hoping that management takes this under consideration and go back to the ways that things were working out before. May god give you blessings and rethink your ways !!!

This place is a rip off
They charge a minimum spend of $50 per person even if you are a couple and going after dinner for late night drinks. They insist to get a table which costs $50 per person outside and $100 per person for a table inside. The quality of the guests is not very good as it's mostly hotel maids and lowlifes looking to pick up women from the club inside. They will not be getting repeat customers as it seems their management is looking for ways to take advantage of the customers by charging a minimum spend of $50 each even if you want to go for a drink or a coffee. The food is average and overpriced. I won't be going back there again.

We were invited to sit down party here and we experienced the worst servers I have ever across. Rude, condescending are few qualities worth mentioning as we were told what we ordered when we never ordered. Absolutely not child friendly seems they don’t like them. Also I did observe their attitudes changing if the person was not brown. I would not recommend basis the bedside manner if not all but most of the serving staff.

**A Complete Disaster: Avoid Greenhouse Bistro at All Costs**
Our experience at Greenhouse Bistro was nothing short of a nightmare. We had booked a table well in advance for a friend’s birthday, following their request for a deposit and confirming, in writing, our preferred table location. But when we arrived, we were blindsided by the shockingly unprofessional and chaotic handling of our reservation. Our table was ready, but we were flat-out told, "This isn’t your table."
The manager showed complete disregard for our booking, arrogantly stating, "You didn’t book with me," as if that excused their utter failure. They offered to give us couch seating instead of a table and when we refused they scrambled to find us a table and failed miserably. Their incompetence was baffling, but the worst part was the attitude of the staff. We were treated with outright aggression, making the entire experience uncomfortable and disrespectful.
After waiting for over 30 minutes, we realized they were completely incapable of salvaging the situation. We demanded our deposit back and left, disgusted with their service. The excuses they gave were absurd and contradictory. The manager was told that we didn’t make the reservation at the right time (we made it on Tuesday for a Saturday night reservation!) .. Another blamed us for "booking with someone else" for a $50 minimum spending per person, when they claimed the minimum should have been $100—an obvious attempt to shift blame. The minimum charge per person is only $50 per person for patio seating per the manager but for some reason the reservations guy (Nomi) wanted us to pay $100 per person that even puzzeled the manager!
Their incompetence and blatant dishonesty made it clear that they don’t care about their customers. No one should ever have to endure this kind of treatment celebrating a special occasion with large group. Thankfully, we left and headed to **Phoenicia Lounge**, where the difference was night and day. Great food, fantastic service, and a birthday party that was saved from disaster thanks to their professionalism.
**In short: If you have a special occasion that you care about.. Do NOT waste your time or money at Greenhouse Bistro. They don’t respect your reservation, your time, or you as a customer. Avoid this place at all costs.**

The information at their webpage is not complete. For groups they asked you to spend at least $50 per person. The man who answers the phone is very mean. I am very disappointed. I went a couple months ago to that place, I liked their food and the atmosphere event though there is a lot of people smoking. But with the service I had at the phone I would not go there anymore

I ordered the Tuna tartar, the Mediterranean trio and the shrimp skewers. The shrimp was over cooked to the extent that it was rubbery. The tuna tartar was disgusting, fishy and not fresh at all. The humus tasted like it was out of a can with no olive oil served on it and the babaghanush was horrible.
We finished with a no flour chocolate cake, it was equally horrible. This place isn’t a spot for food, it’s more of a bar/night club. Don’t come here for food. At least that is what I think.

After years going in there for lunch and dinner since they open I have a guest Saturday night. The guy at the door told me each one have to pay $50 to get in to have a hookah or a drink which is we don’t wanna drink then I told him, I don’t have to .he ask his supervisor which is the worst. He said each $ 70 I explain him I don’t wanna stay the whole night. Just couple of hours because he’s leaving the country this place when they open they were very to be a successful . Even the owner was every day there or one of the partner his name Masoud . Anyways, it was very bad experience after he let a lot of people get inside the Restaurant he was super moody. I told him that as well be straight at the door not gonna go there no more and with my friends and family as well. There is better restaurant than that place in Vienna area

Food not good, drink very not good ( take wine if you can but they have nothing from the menu)… super basic service… he don’t know most drinks… and he was spending his time sifted at the counted talking with the barmans instead of taking care of the client… I understand the mandatory 20% tip, if we could choose, it barely deserves a 10%… cannot split the cheque in multiple way… also, announce themselves as Italian American restaurant… but it’s more middle eastern Lebanese… but not well done… the appetizers are décents but the meals are not good… in the platter, the rice is probably some 90 second microwave uncle Ben’s.. no taste, bad texture… very not appealing!
The decor have bugs wears and tears… it’s sad cause it have the abilit To be a very cool place but it’s a fail… was probably cool 7-8 years ago…
Won’t go back definitely!

I’ve now been here several times for dancing. The first time the person checking-us in voiced that shoes being worn were noted too casual, however, he was observed allowing others in who were dressed in beachwear. I asked my friends to find a manager, then, we were allowed inside. The person checking-us in also informed us that the earlier you arrive, you may be allowed inside w/ out any issue as it relates to dress wear, which makes absolutely no sense. In total, I’ve been there three times, however, by invitation of friends. I don’t think I’d go on my own, as it doesn’t highly appeal to me.

Last time I was here was over 8 years for lunch and maybe a dinner… but forget about all that… Lets talk about their Arab & Latin nightlife! They have an outdoor area for hookah and a chiller vibe. They have the lounge for EDM and the dining area was a classy Latin night. Drinks were reasonable priced and overall good mix drinks. The hookah was made just perfect. We will be back because I’m old and need to stay in Fairfax county.

Original post : (update below)
Easy access, good parking, no charge, coat check is free (tip welcome).
The live music before 10:30 was great but the DJ could improve, he play pretty much the same stuff over and over, cut in with a lot of sound effects to cover the change of songs and would go from a fast to slow song, killing the crowd ambient. In 2 hours we were there he used 1 song 5 times and people were leaving the floor.
Update 7/19/24
I visited this place after 6 years... Found it pretty much the same, there is a new room (hooka bar and they also play music ) the music was for most of the night good ,people were dancing and having a good time until the DJ started playing bad bunny music... The dance floor pretty much got empty and the people headed to the hooka bar to dance to American music .
Once latin music was played again the dance floor got full again and once again he played that music and the dance floor got empty.....
The DJ should know how to read the crowd and play with works to keep the dance floor.
Good drinks and the prices were ok.

I ordered the grilled shrimp skewers, it only had 3 very small shrimp, 3 slices of cucumber and some slices of onion. That for $14! The power was out for around half hour. When the power came back I tried to order something more and they said the kitchen was closed, they didn’t even offer chips. They really need to improve their food and service. I’m not going back to this place ever again.

I've been to greenhouse many times for dance events and it's a nice place to come with a group of friends and dance.
I had always been curious about the food and had an opportunity to stop by for a late dinner at 9pm and called to make sure the kitchen was open. After some delay in finding a hostess and getting a table, I ordered the chicken kabob which came out fairly quickly (10 minutes) and looked good, but was unfortunately undercooked and didn’t taste good. I had chosen an outdoor table so I could have a phone conversation so I waited 10 minutes for a waiter to arrive so they could take it back to re-cook it. But my waiter never came by. Having missed lunch and it being past 9pm, I ended up eating the undercooked chicken kabob - the waiter came by around 10 minutes after I had mostly finished the less-than-mediocre meal and was informed of the undercooked chicken. No refund, no attempt to make up for it, and no word from the kitchen.
I will not be returning againand I won't recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for good food.

We came to Washington from Houston for a wedding of our friends for the weekend. My husband owns middle eastern restaurant in Houston. We spent evening of Apr 19 in Greenhouse. Had nice table with drinks for around 8-9 ppl. Everything was fine until the time my husband wanted to order hookah. He got $72 bill instead of $55. My husband has strong principles, he will not pay price higher for smth that costs different (read lower) price in the menu. After asking why the price is $72, server replied that this includes tax and tips. My husband told that he will decide about the tips. After he refused to get the hookah. 3 ppl of security or whatever these ppl are disrespectfully kicked my husband out. One of them was Sasha, who was smiling with his crooked grin, feeling his power. This place is full, they have a lot of customers, so they don't need more. SHAME ON YOU, GREENHOUSE

Hookah was insanely expensive ($55) for how average it was. Took forever to get new coals, which I had to ask for multiple times. Beware they add a 20% service fee even before 10 pm. Frustrating because they state that 20% gratuity is added on all checks AFTER 10 pm, yet I was in and out before 8:30 pm.

Paid for drinks and took care of the bartender with an additional 5% after the mandatory 20%.. and tipped additional 5% what a loser must suck to be a loser. Owned and operated by losers

This place is fire for the social scene with live bands, two DJs, two lounges, and a hookah bar. It's a progressive scene for the Gen Z/Millennial generation; I'm Gen X and while my FAM deprived me of a good time, I'd go again for a do-over. The food was okay. I had rockfish which was very bland and fishy with orzo or risotto which had a decent flavor. I also had the feta and herb appetizer which had too many fresh herbs and not enough naan bread. You have to pay more for additional bread. Also, the dish needed something sweet added like dates, raisins, figs or a fig jam. All in all its the place to be on a Thursday - Saturday nights.

Our waitress Lily was the worst of the worst for the entire night. I'm not sure if they give her too many tables to serve or if she forgets her orders... We asked for everything almost 3 times and even had to ask another waiters to get more drinks. Will never go back, service sucks!

Food not great, probably McDonald's taste better and WAY cheaper!! Just eat at the McDonald's cross the street before walk-in into this place. Drinks are Fking expensive. My friend bought 2 shots of tequila for $40 and it was not pure tequila! For sure they mix something else or they buy their tequila at 7/11
Music was good! No complaints! Good music. We really enjoyed dancing.
They force 20% tip so keep that in mind.

My rating is based on the nightlife experience and the service in general. I don’t know whether they have changed management because I had a positive experience the first time I came here. I arrived with a couple friends last night and we saw a line. We didn’t think much of it and we waited. After 10 minutes, we noticed that they were giving preference to certain demographics and letting them in and not letting anyone who didn’t have a reservation inside. Keep in mind it was cold and we were among the front of the line. We did not want a table, we were just there to dance to Latino and EDM music and leave. 30 minutes later, the line is not moving and they are only allowing certain demographics in and lying that they’ve reached capacity (while we see bunch of people leaving the establishment). It really was insulting to not only let us wait more than 30 minutes in the cold without a real reason, but then to also make up rules on the spot. I got fed up and made a reservation. We had one guy with us and they didn’t let him in because he had on cargo pants. Keep in mind there is no dress code mentioned on their website, and there were girls and guys who were wearing rip jeans and cargo pants and they still got in (they were clearly showing preference on certain demographics). Annoyed, we let our table go and bounced. There is a lot of entitlement and judgement here (people pulling up in rolls Royce’s and Porsches) due to the new money flashy behavior the guests display. When we left, we still did not see the line move and people were still waiting in the cold for close to an hour. This is honestly unacceptable and because of the service displayed from their management, I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.

The place for over 30 crowd to have a drink and dance near home. Food, service and atmosphere is always great.

This has become a favorite of ours. Great food and multiple dining options from the greenhouse to the club room. The dancefloor gets full on weekends with a live Latin band and continues with the DJ playing a variety of genres, including Latin, Afro beats, and even a little Reggae/dancehall.
Special shout-out to Natalia for always taking care of us!

Only been a couple of times. Nice vibe. Quite a mix of folks. Seems laid back... which I like. The live bands have just fabulous...seen one on Saturday and another on a Friday and both have been truly entertaining. Would definitely be going back to get an even better feel of the place.
I didn't score the food simply cause I haven't eaten anything there....Yet 😉

The $20 entrance fee for the bar is ridiculous and unjustifiable.

In two instance i a worse experience at Greenhouse Bistro.
During my visit, I observed inconsistencies in the door policy which led to feelings of exclusion and a lack of respect for certain individuals. In particular, I witnessed an incident where an elderly man was denied entry and treated disrespectfully. Furthermore, I noticed several instances of line-cutting, where certain individuals were given preferential treatment and allowed to bypass the wait without apparent justification.
These occurrences, combined with my previous visits to the restaurant, have left me disappointed with the level of professionalism displayed by the staff. The encounters I have had were marked by rudeness, unprofessionalism, and insulting behavior.

way too loud, you need to scream if you want to talk to someone, obviously ok for some dancing, taste of drinks was awful, maybe its time to check the filter of the ice machine or else, food is subpar, even the fries had weird taste.

Showed up at opening on a Saturday night. Staff looked stunned we walked in. My fiancee ran to the bathroom and was gone a while. She came back in through the front doors, which were locked after we had just walked in 5 minutes earlier, and said the door from restrooms to get back into the bar area was locked, and no toilet paper or paper towels in the women's restroom. We sat for 40 minutes and nobody else came in. Wouldn't waste my Saturday night here again!

The service not so good. My friend and I sat down waiting for the waiter to come get our orders, but they kept passing by us and ignoring... too crowded on Fridays and Saturdays. Music is good though...

We got here around 11 pm for the dance party. The theme was Halloween, and music was mostly Latino with a mix of dance and old r&b. Got the table in the back and ordered a few drinks and deserts. The dance floor was large enough to accommodate folks dancing. The table had $100 minimum, which is not bad at all for dance clubs (major DC clubs charge several times more). Parking was available at the garage in the back. Folks ranged in ages from new adults in early 20s to senior citizens. Everyone was having a good time! Overall good place (really only place) in Tysons area for dance club with reasonable food prices.

Rude policy for costumers.
Even though we paid 150$ for a hookah 2 dishes and 3 drinks they never changed the charcoal. One time charcoal only.
The strangest hookah place i have been.
Last night was my first and last time in there
