Contemporary Japanese eatery with a casual vibe known for all-you-can-eat sushi.
The hubby and I were craving sushi. We were in town with family and wandered past this restaurant. We decided to give it a try.
The space was clean and cute. The decor was pretty standard for a sushi place.
We did the all-you-can-eat dinner option (which it seems is the only option at dinner time). We ordered soup and five rolls between the two of us for $60 after tip.
The miso was fine and a decent little portion. We ordered the spicy salmon roll, the crazy monkey roll, the last Vegas roll, the deluxe roll, and the Norfolk roll. As far as sushi goes - it was very average.
It definitely scratched the itch and the price was fine, but it wasn't anything special.
At the end we got cute little ice cream cups which was a great little treat to finish off our meal.
Our server was cute and helpful. I only docked a star because the person running the food had ear buds in the whole time and looked annoyed when we asked for clarification on which roll was which.

We went in with a group of 7. The plan was to go before the hockey game. Initially we were told by the host that it would be about a thirty minute wait. We were a little perplexed because we saw plenty of open space. But we were then told that the open spaces were being held for reservations. We were getting ready to go and then we were told wait a minute we may be able to do something. A couple of minutes later, they say we can sit you all in two booths that were across from each other, but were close and in a quiet area. We were fine with that. A few moments later, a member of the wait staff comes up and says that we cannot be seated that way. This was after this seating arrangement was offered to us by another member of the wait staff. The host that initially greeted us was very apologetic. The waiter that moved us was not. We did speak to the manager and what they ended up doing was seating us in a back banquet room which was fine. But this was about 15 minutes had already passed. The manager took our orders. We then only had one waitress which I know was common but it seemed like she was going too far out of her way to wait on us. Our drink orders kept getting confused. And then, none of our food came out together. In fact, it was about 20-25 minutes from the time the first order came out to when the last order came out. The food was delicious. But the service needed a lot of work. The manager did take 10% off of our bill which we did appreciate. But I would hope there is a lot better communication in the future. I hope this will be viewed and rather than offense be taken, Sushi King does use this as an opportunity for improvement.

Long story short, we were there for 2 hours and only got (half) our food after an hour and a half of waiting,(on a slow evening with only two other tables that were all getting seconds and third rounds of food and we never even got one until we were ready to walk out) barely seeing our waitress, and half the time I had to get up to find the waitress even just to ask for napkins that I’d asked many many times for, to which she rolled her eyes at me when I got up to ask her, and my husband saw the interaction when he got up to use the restroom. He came back and asked why she rolled her eyes at me.
My husband and I were excited to try this place with our two friends, as we had enjoyed the other two locations previously and I’d never been to this one. I definitely recommend choosing the other locations. Our server was Adrianna. We showed up at 7, and it was a good 20 minutes before we even got drinks, after being made to move locations because Adrianna said she didn’t know how to put in the orders for the table we were seated at because she didn’t see the table number. We were understanding and moved. After we finally placed orders for drinks, one being a bar beverage, I am glad we insisted on immediately ordering some appetizers, and we asked for extra napkins. After that we hardly saw our server. We had to track down another server around 8 just to put in our first order for sushi. By this time there were only 2 other tables. We sat there for so long watching these other tables get served and have an attentive waitress, and we didn’t finally get sushi until closer to 8:40, which Adrianna had to come and take my husbands order again because it was never put in. When we never got his order, Adrianna claimed that it was the kitchens fault, but we watched people who arrived after us get many rounds of food throughout our entire time there. To top that off, our friend who ordered a beverage, it wasnt until the food came out after an hour and a half of being there before she finally received it, it was watered down and looked as if it had been sitting for a very long time. The beverage was warm. I took a photo. I ended up having to get up again to track down the server to get our ticket. When she brought it, it was just for the alcoholic beverage. We assumed we were being comped for the very obvious negative experience we had there, and brought to her attention just in case that it was just that one ticket..but she admitted the system was acting up and someone else ended up with a discounted meal earlier that night too but it wasn’t her problem, and it was their lucky day…but yet we were not offered any luck that’s for sure. She corrected the tickets and we paid for a terrible two hours spent there, only getting two rolls (we ordered 3 each, but only my husbands order was correct when she came back to put in his order again) and only half the appetizers we even ordered, on top of that. Will not be coming back.

If you’re going to change your policies, your menu should reflect that. The menu offers refills on soft drinks, but we were charged for each one. When we asked if it was a mistake, we were told that every drink is now a separate ticket item. If this is the case, it should either be printed on the menu or communicated verbally to customers.
Additionally, we arrived for dinner only to find that several menu items were out of stock. After years of coming here, it’s clear that the quality is continuing to decline.
Only positive is that our server who is new, was very sweet.
My last visit before this, I had issues when booking their party space. The staff kept entering the party, asking for payment, even though I had paid in cash weeks in advance, as requested. After the fourth person came into the party space, I had to ask to see their books and ended up finding my booking confirmation myself. All I received was an insincere “sorry.”
I hope management will make something investments to get things back on track. It’s just not the same.

My husband and I went last December 20th to dine in. The restaurant’s ambiance is really good. The decor is beautiful. However, our female server is too busy with her phone instead if serving our food. She gave us our tea and appetizer after what felt like forever. We finished everything and was still waiting for our sushi rolls -that never came. According to her its not her fault that the people in the kitchen cannot understand English. That might be true but other tables are getting served continuously. What is the difference?
Well, the worst part is she is not even apologetic. This is really terrible. Based on other comments, this same person is bringing the restaurant down.

My husband and had our 12th year anniversary so decided to come here and eat. Music atmosphere nice .. however our server can’t remember her name I believe it starts with a L but she was super inattentive to our table we were waiting for about an hour until we gotten our food when we mentioned it to her she said she kept forgetting about us ? How do you forget about your table we still kept everything respectful than what topped everything off when asking for the bill we put our card out she walked right away not only did she do that she snatched the card now I know everybody has bad days or what not but again anybody can be so it’s better someone out of the 2 be a bigger person so an altercation doesn’t happen now I will be coming back but asking for a different server.

The food was ok, I'm sitting IN the restaurant now as I write this, but the service has been TERRIBLE. Here for a family birthday party, and the food that did come out was pretty good, but several in our party still hasn't gotten their food while some are already finished, and when asked, "where my order?" After 20 minutes of waiting the waiting literally just said "well, you might want to order something else" with no explanation of where the food actually is or if it's coming.. never coming here again and I DO NOT RECOMMEND.

My wife and i went a couple of weeks ago because I had been there before and had a great experience so I wanted to show her. Unfortunately we had an awful waitress that it seems from the reviews of others is bringing the place down. She's young, skinny and light-skinned. From the moment we arrived she was acting strange. We had to repeat our order many times because she couldn't hear. Many employees are wearing airpods while working so I'm wondering if that had anything to do with it. So we got our appetizer pretty quickly like 5-10 minutes and 2 of the 5 orders we placed. After that, we didn't see the waitress for 30+ minutes. She didn't come check on us or take our dirty plates. Occasionally I'd see her from afar texting or doing whatever on her phone. The other waitresses were killing it on the opposite side of the restaurant but she was uninterested in doing her job.
After almost 40 minutes my wife got up and asked another light-skinned girl to check on our orders because our waitress hadn't been around for a long time and she rolled her eyes at her and said she'd go find her. Another 10 minute wait and I told my wife let's just get out of here. Now that we were about to leave the waitress said it's not her fault and that it's the kitchen. That they don't speak English and that it's nothing she can do about it. I've been a waiter many times before so I can see she just forgot about us and that's ok, it happens but to deflect and blame others really bothered me. She was rude as hell and arrogant. Lady, if you hate your job go somewhere where you don't rub off that negativity on others. I told her stuff happens and she should have just told us she forgot our order or didn't put it in and at least stopped to check on us for the 45 minutes but again nothing was her fault. It's sad that such a beautiful place is being ruined by a couple of non-chalant young girls who can't take any accountability. I strongly suggest you give her a wake up call. We still payed the full bill even though we barely got any food. We left hungry, annoyed and disrespected. All we wanted was to eat and have a relaxing time in this beautiful location. We all have bad days but it seems from other reviews it's reoccurring. Drop the airpods, drop the attitude and serve people the way it's expected, nothing more nothing less.

The server was really nice but when I got my sushi I told the manager and his name was Andrew that my sushi looked a little strange and he said it was black pepper on my roll but I knew it looked different than pepper and picked it up off the roll and realized it was rat scat and I freaked out because of unsanitary measures. Please get this fix. Thank you 🙏

This past Saturday evening my husband and I decided to go out for sushi like we have many times in the past. This was our usual spot that we frequent at least once a month. But unfortunately this wa the LAST time we go to this location.
We arrived at 5:30 pm and we were immediately sat, normal experience so far. The manager sat us and our server (who come to find out was actually the bartender) got our first order for the AYCE and our drinks. 30 min go by and we have only received 2 of the 5 items we ordered. It took another 10 min to get our drinks after I had to get her attention. "Sorry I keep forgetting you, the manager put you at a table that's not even in my section." She's walked past us multiple times at this point.
After a very slow evening, (it usually takes us 45 min to an hr to complete our whole meal), we had already been there for 2 and a half hrs and my 5 mo old was getting fussy as we hadn't expected it to take this long at all, my husband decided to track down the manager to go ahead and close out our tab, forgoing the last couple items we had ordered because we were tired of waiting. Upon finding the manager, my husband motioned over to our table and said he wanted to close out our tab. HOWEVER!!! The manager closed the tab and ran my husband's card without ever showing him a total or a receipt, and CHARGED HIM OVER $200 FOR A TICKET THAT WASNT EVEN OURS! He closed out the tab for the 6 gentleman seated at the table next to us who had also been ordering alcohol, driving up their tab.
According to the manager, there wasn't much he could do because he is "just the manager".... although our meal was "comped" we were still charged and have yet to receive the refund the manager says was processed. On top of all of this, the server kept claiming it "wasn't her fault, the kitchen was slow, they don't speak english". If there is a district or regional manager who is higher up than this manager i would love to have a conversation with them about the professionalism of their management at this location.
Other than that, the food was great as always.

It’s honestly just gone so downhill over the past few years :(. We dined in last night. Our waters were empty for almost the whole meal. We wanted to be out by close but the server hadn’t come around with the check (or at all even though it wasn’t busy) and after putting food in at last call, it came out 20 minutes later. The drinks were also put in well before our food was but came well after our food did, the ice was melted and the drinks were only halfway full for $13 each (see pic). When i asked the server about it she said the bar was closed (we had put them in around 8:30 and it was 8:55 which is still more than half an hour before they close). The rolls are hit or miss nowadays. They also sat us beside a kid that coughed and said his throat hurt throughout the entire meal, hoping we won’t get sick now.
I will say, I used to love this place and came with my family often. Not sure if we’ll be back now

Lots of mixed reviews by confused people.
It is a great, all you can eat sushi place. It is not a high end sushi restaurant.
You get what you pay for. It is solid for what you paid.
I found the food to be clean, tasty, and fast. Service was great.
Will definitely return.

I will say that the food wasn't horrible, nor was it delicious. It was descent, lacking in flavor somewhat. The manager was not as favorable to the customers as I would like or expect. My expectations as a customer are not unreasonable,I have been in a managerial position before, and if it's possible to accommodate the customer by all means, it should be done. I'm not sure if I will visit here again. Service rating a 4 because the waitress taking our order was good. The servers, not so much.

How is this a all you can't eat when the sushi is hella mid and the manger Andrew is rude as hell . He told me I had to leave because I told him the sushi was cold, hard and it definitely was going to spoil. This place is a joke and so as the food...I rather eat dog shit for breakfast then this stuff 😂😂😂😂😂

The only thing that made this experience enjoyable was Frank and his attentiveness.

Had some good dining experiences here before, decided to have a bday dinner and was very disappointed. Half of the table got food items way faster than the other half and had to remind staff of orders placed multiple times even for basic things like wasabi & ginger. Not really worth it when have the party is full and the other half is waiting for things ordered a while ago

she specifically asked for rice when she ordered. We had to ask three times for her rice, and the fourth time he said he forgot to put the order in, so we no longer wanted rice. When he brought the check, we expected the discount to be applied because he told us we were going to get one due to the incident that happened with the drinks. The rest of the night didn’t get much better. To Not being very attentive with his table to us feeling like we were being ignored. We looked at our check to make sure we received our discount, and it wasn’t there. So we asked if he could apply the discount because he promised us we would receive one for everything that went wrong. He took the check back to apply the discount, and when he came back, he told us he couldn’t give us a discount anymore because apparently there was no manager in the building, and then proceeded to ask us what he wanted us to do about it as if we were the ones working there instead of him. So over all, I am upset with my experience tonight and no longer feel like it’s worth the drive out to eat at this location any longer.

Today was my first time having sushi King ever and I've been living here for a while now. First and foremost, the greeting staff was not inviting at all. The employee kind of shown me to a table as if I were a child and I had my child with me. The only reason the service has 2 stars is for Ms.Andria, she was delightful as she took my order. I ordered 2 food items which my order in particular didn't come for another 30 minutes and it was only a sushi roll. The server brought my daughters chicken nuggets but did not say anything as my back was turned to assist my daughter in her seat so there was the matter of personal space. I then waited for another 10 minutes to see if my order would come and it wasn't til Ms. Andria checked on me to realize I never got it. After, I expressed to her my disappointment with the service, she went to the kitchen and got me my order within 5 minutes. I typically try not to be entitled or understanding of today's climate but I went when it was practically dead. Besides the menu being over priced for what my ordered looked like a half a roll, I left feeling unsatisfied and will never be back to this establishment or a Sushi King for that matter. Sucks because I love sushi. In conclusion, thank you Ms. Andria for your service you were delightful.

Waited 15 minutes at a table for a server to ask me for my order. I had to stop a young lady, Andria, to know who was assigned to my table. She gracefully grabbed me a drink and went to get my server, who did not apologize. Provided excuse that he was taking care of his other tables and didn't know I was assigned to him. Hassan was rude when I stated that I was waiting for 15 minutes to order. I decided to no longer order after this interaction and finished the drink that Andria brought me and left. Worst experience I've had here. I used to enjoy this place, but this interaction has left a bad taste in my mouth. I'm not one to leave reviews, but this interaction was too horrible to not share.

My husband and I came here because we’ve had great experiences at other sushi King locations. Unfortunately, this restaurant did not live up to the name.
The air wasn’t turned on, so it was quite warm in the restaurant.
Our server, Luke was a nice guy, but did not check on us very often. We were seated near the entrance, and at one point the servers were talking about how they did not want to take care of a large party (5 guests) - in front of the customers waiting to be seated!
The food was mediocre at best. Most of the rolls we ordered were bland with an excess of rice and serious lack of sushi.
They only had plastic to go cups to put soy sauce in, and nothing to rest the chopsticks on…. It just appeared lazy.
Not a great experience and we will not be coming back.

Stale and bland sushi. All of the sushi rolls look and taste the same. They’re not fresh. Probably premade and reheated. Steak was like rubber. Food came out so quick but was almost as if was frozen food. The service was so slow. Waitress took so long to take orders. Kept screwing up our order and bill. She was nice but seemed clueless. Never took the plates and appetizers off the table until I requested. Awful, horrible place. Much better sushi options elsewhere.

I was visiting Norfolk and thought I would give this place a shot. At $22 for all you can eat sushi I did not have high hopes. The service was not good at all, they were in a hurry to get me in and out but I can over look that. The food was not good at all. The tuna seemed old and dried out. The yellow tail had no flavor. The eel is usually my favorite and it was not cooked properly and was kind of gross. Even at $22 it was not worth it. I left there hoping I would not get sick later that night. Also, the nail in the coffin, hair on my plate. I would skip this place and find another or wait till you can find another place.

Unfortunately, we did not have a good experience here. We saw our waiter twice. Once to order and once to pay. For all you can eat, that doesn’t bode too well. Not that we eat a lot, but I did want a refill on my drink. The food came out cold too. $66 for 2 orders of chicken fried rice, gyoza and 2 drinks. I’ve eaten here in the past and had a much better experience, so hopefully this is not the foreseeable future for the restaurant. Atmosphere is great!

We did the “all you can eat” and waited 20 minutes in-between receiving our orders. $150 on my order! The server came back several times and twice we had to re-state our orders. We had to continuously ask about where our orders were, but to no avail. REALITY: The goal of this place is to get you to buy the “all you can eat” and make you wait so long that two things occur: 1) You start to feel “full” and 2) You’d rather just get your check and leave. This was a TERRIBLE experience and probably the worse restaurant on Monticello Avenue.

This business woke me up at 12AM calling the work phone I have to answer, they were screaming into the phone about picking up an order that I did not place. I don't know who placed the order or how Sushi King got that number but it was a mistake that didn't require me being screamed at after being woken up in the middle of the night.

Andrew the manager was a mean horrible person. He did not let me enjoy myself and he constantly berated my friends. I will never come back here becaus he made my experience horrible!
Visited 2 years ago
The staff is exceptional, but Andrew, the manager, is utterly spineless, 0 star review for him. I ordered a Philly roll, my partner opted for all-you-can-eat. We also got a sake bottle, a sake flight, and two Moscow mules. The mules were weak, so we requested more vodka. The waiter brought Grey Goose, claiming it's all they could offer without an extra charge. The bill totaled $145, including two all-you-can-eats and the Grey Goose the server said was free of charge . When I asked for Andrew, they claimed he just left, and they'd "get fired if they adjusted the bill." Their fear of Andrew, a cowardly manager, ruined the experience. Andrew needs to go for this restaurant to be properly managed. Horrible experience/Horrible Manager. The waitress chosen to speak for him said, "He left because he's a "single dad" for sympathy. No sympathy for this psychopath! Sorry Andrew, but you need to go!
Visited 2 years ago
The food and service was amazing. The wait staff was exceptional. However, there was an issue with the bill and the manager Andrew was extremely unhelpful and threatening to fire his staff. He also refused to come and talk to the customers directly and instead made his wait staff communicate for him. He is extremely unprofessional and is not acting like a manager. Very, very disappointed in this experience solely because of Andrew. Will not come back because of him.

I’ve been coming here for a while, usually by myself to treat myself. But last night was one of the most stressful nights to eat here. i preferred a booth when I get there, a mid aged gentleman took me to my booth, not sure what his name is, but seated me at a table that was not wiped down!! Then, my server savannah who just so happens to be a new employee, was kind in the beginning, I was kind, used my please and thank yous with a smile, she wiped my table down for me even. Towards my last order, her demeanor immediately went from happy quick paced to annoyed and just wanted to leave. I had arrived at around early 8ish pm if I’m not mistaken. My food came out fast, drinks came out fast, but then when I ordered my orchard roll, I waited about 20 minutes for it to come out, IT WAS ONE ROLL, I was the last person left in the restaurant, savannah came to me twice to ask me if I was doing alright, but I asked if the kitchen even got my order, and twice did she tell me they were getting ready to make it or they were making it, both 10 minutes apart. Then another 10 minutes go by and it’s already 9pm and they’re all preparing to close. She comes to me later with my food at 9:03pm to then say “here you are I don’t know what happened”. I don’t typically stay very long, but before I could even ask for the bill, she comes quickly with it and so passive aggressively places it on the table says “no rush take your time” as if she is rushing me to get out of the restaurant. Then shortly after that music stops and they start vacuuming, so I scarfed my food down, paid and left. what a way to ruin someone’s night, terrible servers and terrible service. This place is meant to be enjoyable, and quick paced, it doesn’t take 20 minutes to prepare one tray of orchard rolls, and serve it. You definitely don’t vacuum with a paying customer in side STILL EATING. $41 down the drain because of terrible people.

I took my family there earlier this evening with the intention of eating dinner and attending the parade afterward. However, shortly into our meal, my 8 year old, vomited suddenly. Most of us had barely finished our soup and salad. Naturally, alerted the wait staff and after a few minutes someone came out with a mop. However, at no point did anyone (let alone a manager) check on the little girl who had just vomited uncontrollably all over the floor. Nobody offered to reseat the guests around us so they didn't have to smell the vomit. There was a seriously lack of care about the incident at all short of the guy with the mop. I took the kids out while my partner took care of the bill because there was no way any of us could eat at that point and I wanted to get my daughter home and cleaned up. Imagine my surprise when I ask about the bill and I'm told that we were charged 100% full price. They could have at least comped the price of the meal for the child that they made sick, or the 3 kids that missed the parade because of it, or hell anything. Very disappointed with the customer care and management.

Really good food, spectacular setting, polite and attentive service.
Prices were beyond reasonable, appetizers are free, sushi portions were very large (possibly would have liked to try more things with smaller portions).
Interestingly, many of the dishes were not exactly what I had in mind when ordered, but, were extremely delicious. One caution, the Spicy Girl Roll is bigger than you think it is.
All the food comes out very fresh and hot, served very asthetically, the sauces are very creative and are a great addition to the plates. Nothing tastes or looks like it's been sitting around like at some buffets, the kids menu food is not cheap or lazy.
A final note, the cheesecake is not cheesecake at all. Instead it's like a braised layer of creme over an angel food cake with a dark chocolate coffee drizzle. Probably the most stark example of not at all what I thought I was getting, and despite that, astoundingly delicious.

The food tasted great and was presented really well! My wife took photos for Instagram which is a good indicator for the presentation. Our server did his job but was not very friendly. The decoration was really entertaining though! They had a waterfall next to us and lights that made it look like we were under the stars.

Kind of disappointing. Food was slow to get to the table. Didn't have two of my favorite items (mackerel and salmon roe) and wasn't told about it until I got my plate (took 20 minutes for the plates to hit the table after we ordered). Been there plenty of times before and was never disappointed. Probably just an off day for them.
Update: sushi was better and service was quick. Still no mackerel or salmon roe.

Under new management as of the 1st of July so we were told. Everything on the back of the menu is extra or not avaliable. Too many changes for the way the business used to be. Waitress was awesome but management said we had to order all of our food within 30 min because in 1 hr and 30 min they were going to close to start dinner and they charged the dinner price while it was lunch time.
Not a good way to start a business.

My husband and I came here to have dinner as part of a group from our college. The rest of the group arrived before us, so when we got there we stopped at the hostess stand and said we were meeting a group. They took us over to where they were seated. The restaurant is beautiful, and the food was very good. Our server had a great attitude and was very personable. The reason for the 3/5 star rating is because at one point during dinner, I got up to use the restroom. I stopped and asked one of the staff where it was and they helped me find it. When I was leaving the bathroom to go back to my table, one of the women who were at the hostess stand when I came in stopped me to tell me I shouldn’t have went in there because the bathrooms were only for paying restaurant guests and not for the public. I was so confused, because I had talked to her when we got there, and we had been sitting at the table and had already gotten our food and everything. I told her this, and that I was with a group and was a paying guest, and she acted like I was lying to her and tried to argue with me. She followed and watched me until I sat back down at the table. This interaction killed the whole vibe for me, because I was having a great time before this. I won’t be going back here because of the audacity.

I have been to this location few times and the food was always good, however not this time. The food was dry like it was old customer service was horrible from both the waiter and the manager who came and made us which tables because the waiter wanted to serve all six people and we were at two different booths which belonged to 2 different waiters. This should not have been a problem being we were all paying separately but this got the waiter large tips that he would not have gotten because the service was not up to par. I was told that there was no waiter at the time to serve that other table because he was busy but five minutes later guess what, there were people sitting at that table! I will never go back to this location again. This was May 13th at about 5:45 PM.

Service was no problem. Food came out very fast. But I've never had such tasteless sushi in my life. I've been to other sushi kings that was fine. But I was kind of shocked that roll after roll, the only ones you can taste are the sushi with sauce on it. Because the only flavor was the sauce or pasting Wasabi on the food. It was just extremely tasteless. Others talk about mushy sushi, but I just couldn't taste anything. Wasn't bad. Wasn't good. It was tasteless. We left after a trying 5 rolls and some other random things. The miso soup was okay though. But if I wanted to chug a bottle of sauce or wasabi, I can do it cheaper at home.

Per una cosa buona ce ne sono tre che non vanno.
Il locale è abbastanza carino, emula un po' goffamente un canale cinese. Il prezzo del menù all-you-can-eat è di 23$ per cui è molto conveniente. I pregi temo finiscano qui.
Il servizio è confuso. Molto.

My partner and I had an amazing experience at Sushi King. I decided to try it out because of their current promotion for ODU students and teachers, and I was not disappointed. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted warmly and made to feel welcome by every staff member we met. The service was top-notch, with our server going above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed.
The atmosphere was modern and pleasant, with beautiful decor and comfortable seating. The restaurant was clean, and the attention to detail was evident in every aspect of our dining experience.
I recommend Sushi King to anyone looking for a fantastic dining experience. The quality of service and food, combined with the welcoming atmosphere, make it a standout among sushi restaurants in the Norfolk area.

Sushi king use to be me and my kids go to spot. Visiting from out of town so I figured I would check it out before I head back home. However I am very disappointed. When we arrived. It was one server poor guy running around like a chicken with his head cut off. During lunch. He is sitting and serving the whole restaurant. Come on Sushi King you can't hire anyone else. The way people need jobs. Also had to pay for learning chopped sticks. Which fail apart as soon as they arrived. It has definitely gone down hill... I use to love this place. I guess my all you can eat sushi days are over.

This place has a great all you can eat menu. Lunch is a bit limited with not all rolls offered. The rolls were very tasty. The service was great but the poor fellow had the place to himself. So if you go for lunch remember they close at 3pm until 5pm. But you will certainly have a good variety and many tasty options. Just get the poor server some help so it doesn't take forever to get a roll out of the kitchen.

Read mixed reviews but just had to see how the all you can eat sushi was for ourselves. Server was attentive and the place looks cool and like a nightclub. The sushi, however, is not good. The reviews were correct on it tasting "mushy" and weird warm. Edamame was blah and barely salted. No salt & pepper on table. Shrimp tempura was all badly breaded baby shrimp but lots of breaded...but not tempura style. You have to ask for wasabi and ginger if you want it. Due to food waste the portions are small. Napkins on request only. My daughter loved her Rainbow Roll, miso soup and pink lemonade. She had 2 servings of each so it was worth it but we could not stomach the mushi sushi. They have cheesecake (our server said not to order it b/c it was not good and they have ice cream in foam to go cups (chocolate or vanilla). Water included. Sodas/pink lemonade = $3.00.
P.s. they charge nightly prices for wknd all u can eat. Adults $24.00, kids under 10, $12.
