Authentic, Traditional, Great Quality!
Ramen Legend aims to introduce the art of Japanese cuisine to you. We specialize in ramen, Japanese soul food that is taking over several major cities in the US. This Japanese dish serves with noodles in a pork or chicken based white broth (‘paitan') and a variety of additional toppings. Ramen Legend broth is slowly brewed for up to 12 hours, allowing all the goodness from the ingredients to emulsify into every drop of the broth.
It's hard to describe how our ramen will stimulate your palate, come and enjoy a bowl of our meticulously crafted ramen yourself!
Me and my brother try and find new places we haven’t tried, and this was in the area. We got the chili dumplings. I had a beef Ramen and my brother had a tonkatsu ramen! Both both were amazing. I think the star of the show was the chili dumplings. The flavor was just a 10 out of 10. We also ordered. Pork bao buns. Which were also amazing. We had to order 2 more of them. The karaage chicken was delicious. Staff was very informative for the menu and very kind. I would definitely come here again.

Ramen Legend in Salt Lake City is a well-loved spot for ramen enthusiasts, located in the Sugar House area. It stands out with its attention to detail in creating classic Japanese flavors, offering a spacious and cozy environment. One of their signature dishes is the Tonkotsu Ramen, featuring a rich and savory broth, tender chashu pork, menma (bamboo shoots), and a perfectly soft-boiled onsen tamago (egg). This traditional offering is particularly popular for its depth of flavor and texture, balancing creaminess with salty umami notes.
Another crowd-pleaser is their Black Garlic Ramen, which combines a fragrant broth with deep roasted garlic undertones, offering a slightly more robust and aromatic experience. Vegetarians aren't left out either, with the Vegan Ramen being praised for its hearty broth and well-crafted toppings. The restaurant also offers a variety of sides, such as fried dumplings and takoyaki, making it a versatile dining spot for those looking for more than just ramen.
While reviews are generally positive, some diners mention that service can be hit or miss, though the quality of the food remains consistent. The spacious interior, adorned with Japanese-inspired murals, creates an inviting atmosphere, perfect for a casual meal with friends or even a relaxed date night. It’s also well-priced for the quality and portion sizes, making it an accessible choice for ramen lovers in the area.
If you're in Salt Lake City and craving authentic ramen with rich, flavorful broths, Ramen Legend is definitely worth a visit.

Amazing food, massive and tasty sushi rolls, and very friendly service. Had lots of leftovers as shown, normally can eat two rolls per me and my plus one. But these were way more filling, the lovely roll is a must try. Best spicy tuna I've had in utah

Ramen is one of my favorite foods. Nine times out of 10 if I’m going out to eat, I want ramen. This is the best place in the city. I’ve tried a lot of different places, and they’re Chashu is better. Their noodles are awesome (they have started hand making them daily.) They have agadashi tofu, which is harder to find in Salt Lake, and it’s phenomenal too. It’s super easy to get parking underground and take the elevator up. Plus they validate it!
The mega pork with black garlic oil and chili oil is 🤤🤤🤤!!
I forgot to take a picture before I started eating, so you get my half eaten bowl. Seriously, this place is the BEST!

Had never been to this ramen place as it opened after I moved away from SLC. However, was quickly impressed with their tasty ramen! I tried the vegetarian ramen with kimchi and it was amazing, though QUITE spicy for my taste!! The service was also very fast, even during a busy night, and our waitress was kind and polite! Highly recommend it here!

I don’t think I’ve ever come in when a timer isn’t going off. But I still love this place, I come here a few times a month. They have ramen with fried chicken! 💙 So good.
I enjoy their broth options, the chicken broth isn’t extremely salty or mixed with anything. Music is good, service is extremely fast, friendly, and soup is hot. I come during slow hours*** the location is perfect for date night or eating alone. Might be a little too fancy for younger children.

Love their takoyaki, fried pork gyoza, sea dragon (unagi) roll, harumaki roll, and so many more that are not pictured, like their tonkatsu ramen, tonkatsu don, and beef udon. Great food, service, and atmosphere for a very fair price. Also accommodating with being able to order from your phone while having the choice to customize your order, but you can also ask for in-person service to order food.

Got the black garlic ramen and it was mid. Pork was overcooked and dry, broth was bland. The miso soup my partner got was way too salty. There was an obnoxious timer that kept going off and never turned off. It was driving me crazy. Also $15-16 for ramen is a bit ridiculous

A person in our party has a food allergy. We were assured by the person taking our order that there would be no nuts in the order. We asked multiple times in multiple ways. Well....he had an anaphylactic reaction that required medical attention. Just let customers know that they shouldn't trust your processes - we would have eaten at a different restaurant and saved hours of pain and anguish had your wait staff said...."we can't assure that your dish without nuts might be cross contaminated with nuts" - or better yet...tighten your food handling processes so you aren't cross contaminating food and can assure customers that what they order is what they get.
Also, a few days after this incident, I called the restaurant to speak to someone about this and the person answering the phone had no interest in helping - "no manager available".

It's not bad, but not great. It's priced too high for what came with the ramen. The broth was missing depths in flavor, and there should have been more add-ins. I.e. give me the entire egg and not just half. The noodles also didn't taste handpulled because homemade noodles will always taste different in a great way. I wasn't impressed with the ground pork, typically I get brisket (not available on thier menu). But that's my fault.
The menu needs some updating... even out prices, maybe include some photos, especially the tonkatsu. It's one letter different than tonkotsu. Or mention that it is breaded pork.
Staff were nice but almost gave us the wrong ramen (it had a lot of greens and was darker broth compared to the lighter broth and breaded pork).

I did a take out order on 9/15 the broth and the ramen was really good but, I got skimped on my noodles there was barely any noodles at all. Maybe it’s because I did a take out order that they didn’t put that much noodles, very disappointing. It’s also not my first time eating here.

First time being here, the ramen was top notch. The service was astounding, and the atmosphere was really relax and calming. We ordered 3 appetizers ( chicken kargure, tokiyaki, crunchy tuna roll) they we crispy , hot and delishous. For our ramen we got the mega pork, and the wonton. The broth was fresh hearty. You could tell it had been made from scratch and passion. The ramen noodles were springy but firm with the greatest texture to help soak flavor into the noodles. When it came time to leave we asked for boxes and they gathered our food and boxed it up for us and even got more ramen for my wife's broth to enjoy later in the evening.
I would rate this place 10 stars is possible. Can't wait to come back!!!!!

When I hear “ramen” I always think of a stupid pack of noodles from smiths , the cheap ones . So I never went to a ramen restaurant BUT this absolutely changed my whole perspective on ramen . Now I never want a pack of ramen from the store . This is so amazing !! Full of flavor and spices . Great chefs that are actually clean and have great hygiene (you can see them making food close by) absolutely a 5 star restaurant. Don’t know why they are not. I had the mega pork ramen and my wife had the fried chicken ramen . Highly recommended… and just so you guys know , I am not the type to take my time and give my opinion on food . I just eat . So that alone should say a lot .

Ok this is my second time review.
It was actually not thaaaaaat bad, but two things I need to mention:
1. The chili oil, like two spoon full, is an EXTRA topping $1.04
2. If they had a microwave I would heat it up for at least 20 seconds.
It’s not too bad, it’s not great. Open atmosphere, ok service, ok price, not too bad quality. Everything was so mediocre. Would I go back? I don’t think so

Not the worst bowl of Ramen in the valley. Black Garlic Ramen broth is so.good.!!!! Wish I could say the same about the Kimchi Killer... Had to add black pepper and soy sauce to take away from strong fish oil flavor. Wish it had more spice that I was expecting. Overall, better than the chain ramen restaurant nearby.. will have to be brave and try some of their sushi rolls next time.

Walking into a beautiful place like Ramen Legend, I would have expected a better experience. I understand restaurants in sugarhouse get very busy in the evenings but this one was a rough experience..
the system to order via QR code all seemed very odd, like being in a fast food restaurant, no real genuine connection with our server, and things were missed on the order that we paid for and didn't get.
After making the order, it took about 15 min for them to bring 2 of 3 dishes and an extra 20 more min to bring my dish, and it wasn't warm anymore, which means they probably forgot to bring it after making it.
The food was great! Sadly, my experience was not, and won't come back to this location at night.

This place is crazy expensive for what it is!
The food is mediocre at best.
Bland flavors and plates, including the ramen, have very little meat in them.
I wouldn’t have been so offended at the price if the food was actually good.

This was the worst and the saddest ramen I’ve had in my entire life. The noodles were basically spaghetti noods, the chicken was an unappetizing brown look and the broth was so watered down. I took two bites and left and had Chipotle instead. It was overly priced at a whopping total of two ramens at $48 with tip included. My instant pack ramen is better than this 😅

Going to Ramen Legend was certainly a mixed bag of an experience.
The Good:
The Gyoza were quite flavorful, and my fiancée and I enjoyed the Playboy roll. My tonkatsu ramen was pretty good, with lots of flavorful broth and noodles. The katsu itself was very crunchy and delicious.
The Bad:
My fiancée got the Kimchi Killer ramen, and it was not as great of an experience -- the spice level was much higher than was advertised on the menu, and the noodles were tangled together at the bottom of the broth making it difficult to eat. Likewise the service was less-than-desirable -- we had our waters filled once the entire night.
We might go back for a date night, but we aren't rushing back to Ramen Legend any time soon.

We love Ramen and it was our first time eating here. We got Tonkatsu Ramen and the Black Garlic Ramen since it was recommended by the server. First of all, both of our broth were so bland and especially Tonkatsu Ramen didn't have any flavor. Then the noodles were undercooked and came out cold. They looked good like the photo I took but everything in general, it was the worst ramen we had so far... and those dumplings weren't as good as I thought it would be. Spent about $60 total and it seems like overpriced compare to the quality of the food that they offer. The black garlic ramen would've been good if it came out hot.

Don’t eat here, incredibly disappointing and poorly managed. Our food was disappointing to say the least, and crazy expensive. A can of coke was $3, and severely undercooked tempura veggies were $10. Delusional.
When I called later in the evening to ask for a partial refund, the general manager (because I was told they don’t have a store manager, big shocker) refused, and then wrote up the staff for “not doing a good job”. How can both be true?
The wait staff was so friendly and quick to help, and the kitchen staff I talked to were kind and understanding. Insane that they were written up. How disgustingly capitalistic.

We used to go here a lot before the construction. Our visit today was not very good.
No more physical menu's, you are forced to order on your phone and the phone app is very buggy. It was slow and unusable on my slightly older phone, and my wife's phone didn't work with it either. Layout of the app regarding add-ons or alternatives is confusing and poorly designed. We tried to use it but gave up in frustration. It was so bad we almost walked out, but decided to stay and give it a shot. Waitress didn't know the menu and seamed to forget we were there. This should of been a sign.....
Several of our favorite menu items got removed and they didn't have green tea...... at a Japanese Restaurant!? We asked and they said they make hot tea with the iced tea mix. Seriously? I miss the stuffed jalapeno appetizer, it was my favorite and what I was looking forward to the most on our visit.
Noodles were cooked great in my Tonkatsu Ramen, but the broth was almost water with no flavor. I can buy instant Tonkatsu Ramen at Costco with way better flavor. My wife's Shoyu Ramen was also under flavored and the meat was overcooked and dry. That's hard to do when it's in a soup. Our Agedashi Tofu appetizer was good, but it was smaller than on previous visits, had very little broth, and the bonito was in a compacted clump.
Overall I'm sad to see this place go downhill. The lack of customer service, bland food, and the horrific phone ordering system, will probably make this our last visit. There are plenty of other ramen restaurants that can get our business. I bet they will have physical menu's.

Their ramen can be the best ramen in Utah but I've had it again and it was underwhelming! When they're on point, the broth has deep flavor and is well balanced. The Japanese fried chicken was underwhelming but the ramen was amazing and made up for it. They have kids meals that are French fries and chicken nuggets and it looked good! Their katsu pork was average. Come here for the curry ramen!

Saw this place on tik tok and figured we'd give it a whirl. This place looked really good on the interwebs. I feel like this place was a bit pricey. The food to price ratio in my opinion wasn't on point.
This place is in Sugar house, so that may be the cause. One thing I loved! I was able to order everything online. Pay and be able to leave without much interaction from the staff.
The place was not packed on a Friday night at 7pm.
But people started trickling in after we arrived.
Parking in underneath the building. Make sure your get the parking validation.
The food, was good. I would say it was a pretty normal ramen. Nothing WOWd me except for the pork in the Mega Pork. It was fall apart good.
The ambiance was ok. Nothing spectacular I'm my opinion.

Dined twice, both times disappointing. Vegetarian and vegan ramen broth is not very flavorful. Appetizers were ok.
The tofu had cold centers in my ramen and my friends ramen had icy cold corn. The broth wasnt very hot on delivery either. Jinya down the street is SO much tastier for a little bit more cost, especially for vegetarian/vegans.
EDIT: came back 18mo later. Got served luke warm veggie ramen with fridge-cold veggies and tofu.

Not worth your time or money. I ordered the shrimp wonton ramen and it had no flavor whatsoever! The broth tasted watered down, the noodles had no flavor and not a good texture. The shrimp was bland AF and the I couldn’t even consider what was supposed to be wontons a wonton. I came here cause of all the positive reviews but honestly I don’t think those people have had actual good ramen because that place isn’t it.

I know they have had some customer service issues but I think they are starting to handle them because our waiter told us they could take our order personally and we did not have to order on-line.
Also they came to refill our water and asked if they could do anything else. So they are changing their service.
Of course I would prefer a better menu (like one I could actually hold) and it might have helped that we were one of only two groups in at the time; but I liked it well enough that I would (will) go back

Pretty pricey for what it is. I got the pork curry for about $15 and I felt like the portions could have been much larger, especially the thin cut of pork. My girlfriend got the classic tonkatsu ramen and it was a little underwhelming to her as well. Finally the dumpling were way too small, and their wrapper was a lot gummier than other dumplings I’ve had in the past. There’s definitely other places in the SLC at the same price point that are a lot better.

Killer Kimchi is AMAZING. Service has gotten so much better. The ramen could use much less topping in my opinion. Could be cut in half. The sushi is also really really good. Love this place

I went to Ramen Legend with one of my friends & both of us rated it as a solid 3/5. We went on a Saturday night, without reservations. Thankfully we only had to wait about 15 minutes. I didn’t love the ordering system, which was just a QR code that you ordered & paid on. My friend & I shared veggie egg rolls & I liked them! Nothing too fancy or crazy about them, which I appreciated. I ordered the vegetable ramen. It came with kale noodles, but I didn’t want the kale noodles. I couldn’t figure out how to substitute it on the QR code they have you order on. My options were “none, lite, or on the side”. I ended up getting the kale noodles & it was a let down. Also I had like full chunks of veggies, that I had to cut down because they were so ridiculous to try to eat. The broth didn’t have much flavor & I ended up having to add soy sauce to it to give it a little more flavor. My friend got the tonkotsu pork ramen dish. He liked it but said the broth wasn’t his favorite, compared to some of the order ramen places we’ve been lately. Service was okay. With ordering on the app, I felt like no one really comes to check on you unless they’re dropping food off to you. Otherwise, you have to flag someone down as they’re walking away.

Update: About 7 hours later my husband is sick with food poisoning symptoms and this was literally the only thing we ate all day.
Food is not worth the price in my opinion. My noodles were extremely undercooked, and my husband's noodles were slightly undercooked, and both our ramens were cold. My beef was very dry and overcooked with no flavor. Even the soup dumplings were dry with no soup in them.

One of the best places to eat

The ramen was decent, albeit overpriced for the portions provided. The broth was a little bland, needing more time to develop the rich flavors expected from a tonkotsu broth. For the price, I expected more than one small piece of tonkotsu pork, and was a little confused why there was more tofu than pork in a pork ramen. It felt like half the time in the restaurant I was listening to a timer go off, as the cooks had no urgency turning the timers off. The host/server/busser was spread far too thin, as guests entering would wait 2-3 minutes before being greeted, and was less than cordial. When expected to use a qr code to view the menu and order, it should be courtesy to provide wifi information, so a guest doesn't have to pay for data, and their overpriced food. All in all, it was a mediocre experience that left a mediocre taste in my mouth.

The food was so good. Big portions so you will not leave hungry at all! We couldn't decide what we wanted so had some of many things and it was all great! The ramen was savory, the beef dumplings are a must, the sushi was some of the best I have had! Will be returning!

The service was bad. It seemed like we were inconveniencing the girl who “helped” us. The food was just ok. Overpriced.

The shop is nice & open, doesn’t feel crowded even when all tables are filled. Not too loud, and not too dark in the evening.
Service, was … interesting. You order & pay thru your phone. Idk what happens if you need to pay cash, in order for your order to go through you have to pay (and tip) in advance. I tip based on service so I really didn’t like that feature. Plus you have to make additional orders if you wanted to add anything else or forgot something. So essentially, there is no waiter, your on your own.
The takoyaki, pork gyoza, & soup dumplings were really good!! The dipping sauce was really nice. Fried calamari was horrible. And the beef dumplings that look SOOO yummy & flavorful in their photos, is almost tasteless. It essentially tasted like unseasoned beef dumplings in chili oil. I wouldn’t waste my money on it again, we ate maybe three.
My husband and I both got black garlic oil ramen, it was just as I’d expect it to be. Great flavor & portion size. On the down side, as I loosened up the noodles & went to take a bite, I noticed there was a hair in my ramen noodles. I had my hair tied up so I knew it wasn’t mine (plus I have blonde ends on my hair). They went ahead and made me a new bowl, but forgot to take out the mushroom & bean sprouts. I TRIED to get it all out on my own so I wouldn’t have to send it back again, but I just couldn’t sit there picking bean sprouts out of the noodles xP so I sent it back again & they brought me a correct one.
We also ordered a kids combo, great portion size, but they forgot the included drink. We waited a bit but didn’t seem like it was coming so we had to ask stop someone to ask for it.
At the end of our meal, we asked to order boba since we couldn’t find it on the online menu, and they had a menu on the table so maybe we just order that in person? But they apparently ran out. Bummer, but that’s fine I guess, so we asked for to-go containers to take our leftovers. They brought the containers but no bag. So we just had to carry our 4 to-go bowls to the car (:

Such a fun place. TONS of food. We tried the ramen and sushi - both of which were delicious. The staff was friendly and helpful; providing awesome suggestions. They do parking validation, online orders, and digital orders in the store if you want. I hope to eat here again soon.

I got the killer kimchi and a playboy roll. It was outstanding! Highly recommend! Service was a little slow, but worth the wait.

Great food but the service is terrible. Takes awhile to be seated; only one waitress to serve and seat people on the weekend at lunch time. Ill be ordering my meals to go from now on.

Service slow, hot sauce was $1?? Seriously?? Not like we're not buying the food anyway.

Food was ok, customer service was HORRID. Lady made it seem like she couldn’t be bothered to actually do her job. If your employees don’t like customer service maybe you shouldn’t hire them to handle customers. I’ve been to mcdonald’s with more personable people than here. She was super withdrawn and distant to ever single person except one customer. She kept every interaction as short as possible while being absolutely lifeless. I’m not sure if she had some kind of bias but it makes a bad experience. On top of that the food was nothing to write home about, I’ve had better at home. If you can make a more enjoyable meal on your own time there is no point in paying someone else to make a mediocre meal for you. Go next door and eat the vietnamese food there. The woman running the place is such an angel.

No idea why there are bad reviews for this place because it was INSANELY delicious. My husband got the Kimchi Killer Ramen, I got the Caterpillar Roll, and we split the soup dumplings. My husband lived in Japan for 2 years and said this place is the closest he’s found in Utah to authentic Japanese ramen! The service was just as quick and wonderful as the food! We are DEFINITELY coming back for more!
