I went for a December 31st dinner and I thought it was going to be packed but surprisingly it wasn’t! That was awesome. We were seated right away and didn’t have to wait long for service or food. Waitress was super helpful and attentive. Food was delicious. Me and my fiancé both had wagyu meet and it didn’t disappoint. The only bad part was that in my plate, the wagyu medallions are on top of the smashed potatoes, making it hard to cut.

Best kept secret at the mall.

Squished between dining franchise giants, Cheesecake Factory & PF Chang's; Miyazaki is the one and only of its kind.

This is the only Miyazaki and honestly, how could it be duplicated?

The service is beyond.

The bar is gorgeous.

The menu is whimsical.

The fish is the freshest I have ever had.

The decor is so creative and hip, it really feels like you are somewhere.

Granted, I randomly hit Miyazaki on a Wednesday lunch around 1:30pm so it was a little empty... but I'm getting the vibe this place would still be up to snuff on a crazy busy Saturday night.

The cucumber salad is genuinely not about cucumber, but about celebrating Japanese flair. Delicate strains of live, multicolored seaweed, pickled Japanese root, thinly spiraled cucumber, sesame seeds, and a delightful soy drizzle... Wow!

The lemonade salmon roll will change the way you think about sushi.

Yes, this place is at Fashion Place Mall, but there's nothing but high-end Japanese vibes.

This place is a vibe. Straight gas compared to all other sushi places around fashion mall. Those places hella mid. This is for sure is a bop and their food is bussin on god. The quality of their wagyu steak and fish is immaculate. The service was on point and the atmosphere slayed. This place is totally preppy and straight fire. If you’re a big back they will welcome you. Owner is nice and friendly. Don’t hesitate to try this place out. The prices are a little high, but you’re paying for straight up quality and they got the receipts to prove it. Big trust! 5 star booms.

Just ate at this restaurant for the first time and couldn’t have had a better experience-my husband has many food allergies and they were so accommodating and helpful. They helped us order something he could eat and everything was beyond delicious, the best sushi I’ve ever had! The service was fast, the food was hot and fresh and our server, MJ, was awesome. She was super friendly, helpful and just an all around stellar server. Definitely eating here again! Also super cool vibe and environment. Felt like I was in a classy NYC restaurant and fun to have the mall right there.

Great dining experience. The Sin City roll (bottom right) was one of the best we’ve had out of all the sushi restaurants I’ve been to in Utah. They have tons of vegetarian options and their vegetable tempura appetizer was very good.
Mario was our waiter, he provided delicious recommendations and was exceptionally versed in the menu. We will be back again!

I love the selection of sushi here. It's kind of expensive, but they have a lot of unique options not offered in a lot of other places.

I ordered some nigiri/sashimi, calamari, and an ube cheesecake. Gotta say, they were all delicious! I really enjoyed the Ora king and chutoro. Any kind of fatty fish is awesome. Everything was really fresh and had a nice presentation. My favorite nigiri would be the chutoro, which is surprising. Once you've had tuna fresh from Hawaii.. hard to go back.

Anyways, definitely a great spot for sushi!

We had dinner at Miyazaki’s for the first time and loved it! The restaurant is extremely beautiful! The service was great and the food was so yummy! We had sushi only and enjoyed our rolls. The Salmon Lemonade is the best in our opinion. We will be back and highly recommend!

Miyazaki is a clean, beautiful space, with the some of the most authentic Japanese tastes we’ve had since we’ve been back from Japan. The Wagyu curry is incredibly soft and creamy, and the Wagyu burger was delicious. The imported plum wine is a must have, and the large selection of sake left little to be desired. King is kind and attentive, and even gave us a new seaweed salad soon to appear on the menu I hope! If you’re willing to pay for authentic food, Miyazaki needs to be on your list.

We celebrated my husband’s birthday today at this amazing restaurant, and it was truly a memorable experience! The ambiance was absolutely stunning, providing the perfect atmosphere for a special occasion.

The staff who served us were incredibly accommodating and welcoming, making us feel so valued and comfortable throughout our visit.

The food was exceptional! We enjoyed the takoyaki, ribeye with bone marrow butter, curry, wagyu sirloin, and the incredible lobster roll. Every dish was packed with flavor, beautifully presented, and absolutely delicious.

This place exceeded our expectations, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for great food and an amazing dining experience.

5/5 EXPERIENCE!! We recently held a team dinner in their VIP room and it was a complete success due to the staff there. Mario and Dylan were GREAT servers and incredibly helpful and went the extra mile to make sure everything worked out smoothly (including helping with setup and takedown). Ruined birthday dinner. We came here for my daughter in laws birthday because all the reviews were so great. We told the server and the host about the birthday. During the meal we had to get up and ask a different server for refills because our server just wasn’t coming around, there were only about 4 other tables in the restaurant at the time. Then nobody acknowledged the birthday, we had to stand up and ask if anyone was going to do the dang birthday thing, they just didn’t seem to care at all. Our experience was terrible, we will certainly not be back. We tried a little bit of everything on the menu. The food was average, nothing special, usually places like this justify the pricing with service- this place did not. Oh and if you’re a party or 6 or more they add 20 percent gratuity automatically to your tab which is perfect- when the service is at least standard.

My son and I came in for sushi and had the best time. If you’re looking for a lovely dining experience, this is the place to come to. The rolls are delicious, especially the salmon lemonade! The service and atmosphere were a 10/10. And Mario took the very best care of us, he’s was very helpful in accommodating my son’s gluten free needs.

Listen y’all. Get your butts to this amazing place! MJ requested Gyozoa for our appetizer and after one bite, I’d trust her with my life. It was superb! Then she requested the Salmon Lemonade and it sent me to a sunny day at Grandma’s with homemade lemonade. Fiji will give you the a simple garden taste. 🫢. Don’t ask questions and get the Waygu. Its thin slice of beef and the house jalapeño mayo will make you beg for more and more. King surprised us with the Blacked Black Cod with garlic sauce and my life has changed for the better. Even the freakin ice cream is delicious! New favorite place.

Literally the best sushi I have EVER had! King and MJ could not have treated us better! Every recommendation was exquisite! We had 4 rolls, an appetizer, and some sort of God like blackened fish that changed my life. Will come again and will recommend to everyone!

4th time here. Service is so slow and disjointed. Food was good but the attentiveness of staff is shocking. Will not return as we had to get up twice to get their attention. Staff was cordial and nice but the system is broken.

Came in for lunch, wanted to try out PF Chang’s but decided to try this new place out. I love sushi but by sitting at their sushi serves a whole different experience.

Chef Som, Weena and Edgar were top notch chefs, they custom rolled my sushi to perfection. My server Mario brought service to a whole another level. The GM king, made sure we were constantly doing ok.

I will definitely come back with friends and family! Best lunch experience I had in a while!

This is an edit since it has been a while since I’ve been here. Honestly, the food is pretty expensive when regarding the taste. It tasted yummy, it’s the price that’s pretty high. The ambiance is also really nice and has a beautiful interior. But it is on the pricier side.

The most authentic Japanese food I’ve found in Utah. They still make classic. American friendly sushi but for the truly authentic experience, order the Primo Sashimi.

We discovered Miyazaki by chance, and we’re so glad we did! Originally, we had booked a reservation at another restaurant (Tsunami on Traverse Mountain). I called ahead to ask if they could add a simple birthday message on the dessert plate for our daughter—something we were willing to pay for—but they declined in an unpleasant manner.

Thankfully, we decided to give Miyazaki a try instead, and it was the best decision! Not only was the staff incredibly friendly, but when the manager heard it was our daughter’s birthday, he surprised us with a beautiful dessert featuring her name on the plate!! The cheesecake made her day, and their kindness made ours. This place truly goes above and beyond to make guests feel special. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for an exceptional dining experience with a personal touch!

On a busy Saturday, Miyazaki really amazed us with food quality and customer service. I appreciate our server serve us well and very welcoming. The restaurant itself is clean, the atmosphere is above and beyond. All of the food comes in good timing and good presentation. The manager is really friendly, keep checking on us. My ABSOLUTE favorite place to go to for sushi. While the menu is expensive everything is amazing and well prepared. If you do go here I'd recommend getting the miso soup as a appetizer and then getting their fresh wasabi. Something about store bought wasabi is that it's mostly horseradish since once ground up wasabi loses it's flavor extremely fast but they have genuine wasabi root and will grind it for you tableside for $15 (which is reasonable since a single root of wasabi can sell for $100-$200)

We lived in Japan for months and my spouse is Japanese. Miyazaki does not hit the mark at all. Very fishy taste nigeri except for the salmon. My guess is that the fish had been sitting around for at least three days. The miso soup was loaded with lots of great ingredients however way too salty. If the chef cuts the salt by 75% it would be improved. My spouse could not even finish more than two sips. The salad was fresh and presented well but the dressing was too sugary. The sushi rice was medium quality. I doubt we will return. Overall the presentation was perfect but the level of quality we had anticipated missed the target by a mile. Atmosphere was ok (not Japanese) but the music was not our preference. Booths are comfortable and easy to talk. We did not try the desert as we were nervous it would be too sweet similar to the salad dressing.

First time dining here and will definitely go back. Went in for a late lunch so very few people in the restaurant. Mario, our server, was excellent. The Miso soup was the best I've had. The salad was fresh and light, just the right amount of dressing. We had the SOS and Salmon Lemonade sushi rolls and they were delicious.

We had an excellent experience at Miyazaki last week. It was very clean and had a very bright atmosphere. The service was immaculate from our waitress to the manager of the restaurant stopping by and genuinely taking care of us. Highly recommend their Wagyu Sirloin and Mocktails! We will definitely be returning in the future. Skip the wait line at PF Changs and get a proper experience here instead! ;)

We had an awesome lunch at Miyazaki!
The service was great, the environment was clean and relaxing, and the food was great.

We ordered the Hayao, salmon lemonade, sin city, and caguya rolls, as well as tonkatsu ramen, and the hamatchi crudo appetizer. Everything was so delicious, but the highlight of the dinner was the salmon lemonade roll. Will definitely be eating here again!

First time at Miyazaki and it was a great experience! The manager was very friendly. Our waitress did a very good job and was very attentive to our group. Everything we ordered was most excellent. the calamari and Gyoza appetizers, the Miyazaki roll and the sin city roll, to the waygu steaks. The bone marrow butter ribeye was very tender and full of flavor. The asparagus and mashed potatoes are perfectly paired with the ribeye. It was a very nice dining experience and we look forward to coming back again.

I have my found my new favorite sushi place in Utah. From the moment you walk in, the waiting area is roomy and comfortable. They even had a sushi cooking show playing and cool books about Japanese culture.
The decor was very aesthetically pleasing and the aroma of the freshly cooked dishes was enticing.
We got the Ceviche as appetizer and let me tell you, THAT is what ceviche is supposed to taste like (believe me, I’m a ceviche connoisseur).
I quite honestly don’t remember the name of the roll I ordered, but it was quite honestly one of the best sushi rolls I’ve had in Utah. Incredibly fresh fish you’d think they had just caught it.
Hubby had the bone marrow butter ribeye and he said (and I quote) “I’m having a mouthgasm”.
Our server MJ was very friendly and she also makes the best martinis I’ve had in a while.
I didn’t catch the restaurant managers name but he came over to check on us a couple of times and made sure we were well taken care of.

To sum up: by far, BEST SUSHI AND STEAKHOUSE IN UTAH!

Ordered tonkotsu and was served an oil slick. Whoever made my bowl used the soup ladle for the oil, if they even do that, as I was told "this is how it's served" with the obvious centimeter of oil on the soup. Other than that it would have been an okay bowl, egg was overdone and chashu was just cheap belly.

The ora and bakka salmon are worth visiting for, but I'm not trying every nigiri in the valley.

New favorite place in Utah. The staff were all very friendly and accommodating, and the atmosphere was great - tvs showing how some Japanese cuisine is made, and an overall very clean and well kept space.

I had just gotten back from Japan and we just stumbled across this place while doing some shopping at the mall. We wanted to try so many things, so we ended up getting some tuna nigiri, the wagyu medallions, an unagi donburri, the garlic lobster ramen, and a few sushi rolls.

No exaggeration - everything was fantastic. We especially loved the nigiri and sushi - it tasted fresh and they don’t make the typical Utah sushi mistake of drowning all their rolls in sauce. The wagyu medallions were tender and perfectly cooked. We had low expectations for the ramen but the broth was tasty and the noodles were firm with a great texture. Even the eel bowl contained a large portion of eel with some fantastic rice underneath - I felt like I was right back in Japan again!

Mario and the manager were both extremely friendly and welcoming - we are very much looking forward to going back

I came here for my birthday last month. Superb service here. All of our food came out in a timely manner, and the staff was extremely personable. Within 20 minutes of being there, I felt like my fiancé and I had already made friends with the manager.

The food was amazing. Honestly, best Japanese cuisine I’ve had in Utah hands down. I tried the lobster ramen, unagi don bowl, bluefin tuna nigiri, wagyu medallions and Miyazaki roll. Everything was made with high quality ingredients, and was absolutely delicious. I was appalled that everything on the menu was good, considering the wide variety of options they have.

We love coming here, the atmosphere is so inviting thanks to the staff. The environment is always pristine. Love the food, we have gotten bento boxes, sushi, dessert, and drinks. Mocktail menu is impressive. Doss is our favorite waiter, he has served us a couple of times now.

Hands down the best sushi and steak restaurant in UT. Nothing compares. Sushi is top notch. The wagu beef is so tender and amazing. The environment is calming, and welcoming. I had the Japanese 75 drink which (as a bartender) was made to perfection. And service was amazing! 5-stars!!

The sushi was phenomenal and the head chef is very talented but the manager ruined the experience. He emphasized that he knew better than the head chef and controlled the meal over him. This restaurant will be perfect as soon as it gets a new manager.

Came in for my best friend’s 17th birthday and left with my stomach full of such amazing food! I definitely recommend the Sin City roll as well as the Tonkotsu Ramen especially with the spice! The service was excellent, especially with my friend who is gluten-free!! I’m a pretty picky eater but I found some dishes that I absolutely loved.

The manager talked to us at our table and made sure everything was to our liking! Recommend coming here with family or even just friends, it’s a different vibe compared to other Japanese restaurants in Utah! :)

My husband and I came in a sat at the bar. Beautiful btw! Customer service was amazing, all the staff were very friendly and attentive. We had their signature rice bowls. Delicious and flavourful indeed! So good!

Didn’t get a chance to try their sushi but we could tell professional sushi chefs knew what they were doing! Will come back another time with the girls!

Sadly the food was no where near worth the price. Yes the fatty blue fin was incredible and I would order it every day of the week the “A5 wagyu” was like a rubber band. I have had wagyu many times and this was like Walmart cube steak. The service was 15 out of 10 and everyone was super friendly just don’t order the wagyu.

Curry was meh and bland, drinks and dessert was good though. Also, calling this place the best in Utah is a low bar to reach considering most of the food here sucks. Japanese food in California is better.

I love the selection of sushi here. It's kind of expensive, but they have a lot of unique options not offered in a lot of other places.

I ordered some nigiri/sashimi, calamari, and an ube cheesecake. Gotta say, they were all delicious! I really enjoyed the Ora king and chutoro. Any kind of fatty fish is awesome. Everything was really fresh and had a nice presentation. My favorite nigiri would be the chutoro, which is surprising. Once you've had tuna fresh from Hawaii.. hard to go back.

Anyways, definitely a great spot for sushi!

Came here on a whim for a late lunch and we were blown away at the quality of food and service. Mario was among the best waiters we’ve ever had in all our time eating at restaurants. Absolutely recommend and we’ll be back soon for sure.

I went to Mizusaki on a time crunch. However, despite this fact, all of the staff I encountered were amazing!
I couldn’t choose between the Chile Hamachi roll , or the Salmon Lemonade roll, so I asked to be surprised, and boy was the Salmon Lemonade roll surprising.
The caramelized lemon really finished it off amazingly.

What I found to be amazing, is they are one of the few locations in the United States that serve real wasabi by request. Sure, it costs extra. But it is an experience any person who enjoys sushi should try at least once in their life.
The staff ground the wasabi rhizome into a paste on a shark skin right in front of me.
It does have a bite, just like one might expect from the fake wasabi (horseradish died green), but the bite is smoother?, and doesn’t last near as long. , sweeter, more rounded, than your typical wasabi paste.

My only regret, is that not one sushi restaurant near my home (Boise Idaho) serves real wasabi.

10/10 I will be returning for more next time I’m in Utah.

Waitress circled the tip box on the receipt. She otherwise gave us good service and was nice, but that kind of ruined the experience frankly. My wife and I were in casual clothes, and we had our son with us. So I'm not sure what that was about, but it felt judgemental. I honestly don't know how else to take it.

The sushi is great, the ramen is mid for the price. Loved my first time there, but now don't really feel welcome.

Ordered sashimi classic plate- all sashimi are fresh in a thick cut- this is always the preference for sashimi texture.
Eel rice has a very tasty sauce, sides and tender eel. Also ordered Takoyaki, which is also good choice. Overall this place is worthy to visit without disappointment.

We enjoyed an amazing meal here. I had the Tonkatsu ramen and it was so delicious. The broth was rich and savory and creamy, the noodles were the perfect texture as well. My friends enjoyed sushi from extremely talented sushi chef that made our meals right in front of us. They even made us a custom sushi roll based off a joke we were making! (Someone was jokingly asking for orange chicken and the chef made their rendition of “orange chicken” sushi!) And it was so good!. The atmosphere is so nice. The restaurant is well lit, sophisticatedly decorated, and has many charms that make the place unique from any other restaurants. It’s a shame I live so far away because I wish I could come here more!

Husband ordered the Wagyu Burger, I ordered Miyazaki roll. We also had Gyoza dumplings for an appetizer and house root beer and I got a mocktail. Everything was absolutely delicious! Our food came out in a timely way. This is a hidden gem. Definitely a great place for a date night.

I got the calamari and the hamachi chili sushi roll.
The calamari was good for the first bite. It had a lot of great flavor, it was just a bit rubbery.
The hamachi chili roll was good. I was hoping it was going to be a bit spicier though.
The restaurant is pretty and the service is fantastic. The people are so kind and professional. I would go back and recommend others to join it. More expensive then tsunami and a more limited menus but a great option

Would have been fine if it weren’t for the food poisoning. My sister, cousin, and I went here this last week for sushi. We got the Sin city, crab roll and S.O.S roll. It tasted okay, but not 50 dollars per person good. It was all pretty average. I think I would have rather opted for grocery store sushi just because the taste was around the same quality, and if that’s what I wanted I would have opted to save money. The environment was nice, and the drinks were delicious, so I figured it was fine. After the meal I felt kind of gross, but I figured it was nothing. Since then I’ve progressively gotten more sick each day. It’s been a few days since. I’ve had a terrible upset stomach and nausea. I missed work today because of it. My cousin and my sister both got sick as well. Was not worth a penny to feel this way, let alone $50 dollars

The food is worth the wait as from the time you order, except for the sushi, to when it is delivered to the table can be 20 minutes or longer. I had several sashimi and sushi orders before the others received their kitchen orders. The waiters and manager are very hands-on and accommodating to requests. Prices are a little high but worth it for the quality given. Booths are high walled, so good amount of privacy is nice.

The food and the service were both OUTSTANDING! Our server, Alyssa recommended drinks and entrees that were amazing. The Unagi Don is world class. I'm so glad to have found this place, I want to try everything on the menu!
Shout out to Micah, the host, who saw that we were frustrated having to wait a long time with a reservation and at least a dozen empty tables. He moved us from a tiny table near the door that the hostess sat us at and moved us to a nice booth near the bar. Excellent customer service!!!

I wasn't expecting a lot from a restaurant in the mall, but I was pleasantly surprised. The atmosphere was classy, but not stuffy. The wait staff was very professional and knowledgeable. They had several Wagyu steak options on the menu, and I decided to try the 9oz tenderloin medallions. The three pieces of steak were each placed on bed of perfectly flavored mashed potatoes and topped with a delicious red miso sauce, which was more like a shitake gravy. They were tender and cooked perfectly, and the gravy was the perfect compliment. My husband got the Wagyu beef curry, which generously portioned. It was delicious and the vegetables were done just right. We both agreed it was the best Japanese curry we've had outside of Japan. Our son ordered the Hayao signature roll and the Uni Nigiri, and was very pleased with both. Again, he felt it was the best Uni he has had outside of Japan.

With an appetizer of gyoza and tender calamari, we ended up paying $120 before tip, which we felt was quite reasonable considering the quality of the food and the service. We will definitely be back!

Food: Ceviche. Wonderful. Taste was better towards the end of the meal after the flavors had a chance to marinate.
Sashimi. Tuna, Salmon, and Yellowtail were above average in fresh, firm fish. Halibut and mystery fish were fishy and too old to eat. I would order the individual sashimi offerings over the chef’s choice sashimi plate. Wasabi is average stuff that comes from a tube. Pickled ginger was average.
Cotton Puffer cheesecake. Wonderful, airy, light. A very nice way to finish the meal.
Rib eye steak. A disappointment. Far too much fat to meat ratio. Mashed potatoes were meh.
Service. There is no reason to make me wait for a table when the restaurant is empty. Minus 10 points. The server was excellent. Plus 10 points.

We have been to Miyazaki 3 times now and tried different food every time. It has all been excellent. Everything we eat here is delicious. The restaurant is also very clean and peaceful. The service is great as well, especially Mario who was our server the most recent time we came. I would recommend the wagyu and also the fish.
