Nami Japanese Steak n Sushi. Locally owned and operated. Serving central Texas for 20 years.
I went to the downtown Temple location. It needs a lot of work. When first go in it looks empty. Bar is closed only used for pick up orders. No ambiance what so ever. We asked for a hibachi station. It just feels you are cooped in a house. Service was mid. We had to asked for chop sticks and soy sauce that is served in a little plastic to go container. I started with the rock and roll which it was good and tasty. Then I asked for the stake hibachi, the chef was nice and entertaining. It was good with generous servings. They need to work on decor and ambiance.

They close at 2:30 for lunch and 2pm for hibachi… we walked in at 1:57pm and they greeted us super nicely didn’t fuss or make us feel bad for requesting hibachi seating.
The waitresses were kind and the guy who cooked for us was very polite too! He made conversation asked us how our day was going.. and didn’t seem bothered that we were there 15 before they closed. This was honestly one of the best experiences we’ve had with wait staff in a long time in general. Highly recommend!

Came here for a weeknight dinner. This place was super cute and inviting. The staff was ALL helpful and kind. When I say the staff, I think three different people started conversations with us from the server to the busser, to I think one of the cooks. They were all so nice.
The food was great as well. We just got three different rolls to share, but I enjoyed all three. The monster roll was our favorite.

This place has a lot of potential, however, when we first walked in my husband had mentioned a child crying, I had thought maybe coming from the bathroom but was actually coming from the kitchen. We ordered the Creamy Shrimp as an appetizer, and when it came out the back of them were burnt off. I didn’t even eat one assuming with the holes in the back of them the cream cheese fell out also they didn’t look appealing. The sushi roll I ordered said it came with jalapeños, every time I have ordered sushi it always comes with fresh ingredients, mine did not. It came with pickled jalapeños, which just didn’t give it the right taste. My husband ordered a roll said it was fine, but when his RAMEN came out. The smell, the taste, everything about that ramen was rancid. When our server brought it out I immediately said “what’s that smell” I honestly thought my husband had burped or maybe my breath was starting to stink. No. It was the ramen. It had all these white particles floating around, it was a murky yellow color as well. During the time of his ramen being brought out I also ordered a sea weed salad which was decent, I prefer the ones from heb if I’m being honest. We were both highly disappointed in this place considering how nice it is on the inside. Server was nice. 1 star for her. (Also as someone who loves to cook and has served for 5 years, why were they okay with sending out food like that? The kitchen should’ve said they can’t make it, or the owner/manager should’ve suggested a different option. No one came out and spoke with us about our food or the ramen, our server was taking care of everything. The restaurant was not busy we went on a weekday mid day so no reason he/she couldn’t have spoke with us unless they new it was bad or just did not care.)

Came here for date night with a group of 3 other couples, so there were 8 of us total. We had a reservation for 6:30 and got there a little beforehand. We observed on entering it was not close to being at full capacity, however we were not sat until closer to 7:15 pm, regardless of a sign that mentioned a 15 minute time frame for reservations. After waiting over what was well over the 15 minute time frame to be sat, we experienced even longer wait times for service to start. During the hibachi experience, wait staff lapsed on filling drinks timely however the food itself was good. When a party member asked to speak to management at the end of the dinner due to the delay in seating and poor service, I was absolutely blown away by the lack of concern and lack of resolution in which was provided by the restaurant management for the concerns that were brought to her attention. She cited incorrectly that we were sat exactly 15 minutes after our reservation time and it was apparent she could care less for the concerns brought to her attention. Instead of directly address areas of concerns brought to her attention and provide resolution, it was obvious she could not be bothered less to speak with us and could not leave the scene fast enough. I would not dine here again nor would I recommend if planning to dine with a party. A 20% automatic gratuity charge was taken from each check due to our party having over 5 people present and while this is more than fair in cases of good service, it was definitely lacking in this particular instance. We left sorely disappointed with how wait staff and management chose to provide service and felt that our time and money could’ve been spent far better elsewhere.

I went to Nami for the first time today. I had been hearing about it for years. People really like it. I did not share their experience. The sushi menu was pretty limited - lots of rolls with cooked items and cream cheese. Not so much high quality fresh raw creative things without rice. The sushi bar was dirty and I asked for it to be cleaned while I waited standing up. When my rolls came out, they were prepared exactly as I had requested. Gaijin is Japanese for "foreigner" or round-eye or white people. This is sushi for white people. Nothing wrong with that. It was tasty and well prepared. Just not really Japanese enough for me.

I’ve been going to this Namis location for many years. In the past I have always had a great experience, with great food. However, my last two trips here for dinner have been very poor.
During my last trip, I went the entire meal and never received a refill. Someone in my party did not receive their food for over an hour, and dirty dishes stacked up on the table during the meal. The service was abominable, and yet I was forced to pay a 20% tip on my check. I will not be dining at this restaurant in the future.

Umm. It was very Ok. Not gross or the worst but not great or that good.
We sat in the hibachi room and it was freezing.
Food came out fast, but we never got refills for waters.
The staff was very friendly and nice.
The place it self is not cute or much to look at. The hibachi was well priced but the sushi and apps were over priced for what they were. We said we’d maybe come back with our kids bc they’d be entertained by the hibachi… but i don’t think we’d come again otherwise…

The food was bad. The teriyaki chicken had a bad taste to it. Our server did not even know the menu and asked me if the chicken came with rice because she forgot. The restaraunt had a very odd smell to it. I was excited to try it since my wife loves sushi, very disappointed.

I do not recommend coming here for a bento box. I ordered the pork katsu bento box (one of my favorite dishes at other restaurants) and the katsu tasted like it was frozen then microwaved. The ‘tempura’ vegetables were more like beer batter that sat out for too long, very oily and no crunch at all. I also ordered some harumaki and what came out is unlike any harumaki I’ve ever had. It was fried in that same batter as the veggies and was oily and soft. I could be wrong here but every harumaki I’ve had has been wrapped in lumpia paper or something similar and has been very crunchy. Overall the food was inedible especially when it’s priced at $14. Their hibachi is standard as hibachi restaurants go but after that meal I don’t think I’ll be back. The only reason I gave two stars instead of none is because the waitress was kind.

I am pretty unimpressed Nami and the feeling I got when I left. We had 4 adults and one 3 year old. We ordered four entries and my girlfriend and her 3 year old split a dinner. I picked up the check and because there was 5 people I got an automatic 20% increase in my bill and they said it was for their gratuity, it was about $40. I thought that was a very poor move on Nami part. I would get it if the place was top notch and they were busy but this was not the case.

I ordered Ubereats, however it came very fast. The hibachi steak was way overdone and super dry. Rice was old and crunchy. The sushi roll was okay, but it looked as if they just threw it into a box rather than taking any care. I would avoid this place.

She didn't forget anything, they just didn't make what we ordered and paid for. Called and no solution was offered. Just an apology. Not acceptable.

Wow. I have never had such a bad experience with this place. The crab appetizer smelled so fishy and I could not even stomach it. The sashimi and nigiri had such an extremely fishy taste and almost everything was inedible. The best thing I ate was the edamame. A server gave our plate to other customers and we didn’t get it. All in all, I would never come back even if paid.

The food and service was awful. I asked for a Nami’s sushi roll and when it came out, it had a strong fishy odor. My wife and I regretfully took a bite anyway. When we bit into the sushi, my wife immediately ran into the bathroom to throw up and I immediately spit the sushi out. They served the sushi with spoiled rotten fish. Our glasses that our drinks were in, also were dirty, and had floating specks of something in them. We then got up to leave but the staff insisted that we pay for our rotten food. Actually had they not forced me to pay for their garbage, I would probably just avoided Nami’s in the future and not written this review. It was a terrible experience. We will never go back. I have never written a negative review of any restaurant in my life. However, my experience at Nami’s was Beyond disappointing. Please stay away from this revolting restaurant to avoid the potential of getting sick from spoiled food and unsanitary practices.

Food was trash meat was disgusting! Was told it was fresh then come to find out it was cut @5pm and left out since a different shift start. Went to eat@8:30pm so imagine what foul taste the meat was giving. Over priced they charged for 3x the amount of rice and I did not order extra rice at all. Cali rolls. OLD no flavor. Drinks have 0 carbonation straight syrup. If you wanna waste $$$ then Nami is the place for you. Wouldn’t recommend

It’s usually hit or miss here to be honest but I keep going back 🤦🏽♀️ but after last nights (3/29/24) experience I probably won’t be back. My husband called in and made reservations for 8:30 PM for a hibachi table. We get there at 8:30 and when I walk in, it just smells really weird it smells like sewer water, being masked by room spray. The smell to the hostess and she says that it may be coming from the construction that that’s going on downtown outside. We’re then seated, then our waiter comes and takes our drink orders. She comes back with our waters and ask if we’re ready to order, at that point we hadn’t even looked at the menu yet. We had only been there like 5/10 minutes and he and I were talking and she said with like an annoyed tone. oh, we’re closing at 10:30. Mind you at this time is about 845-ish so we quickly look over the menu and place an order. The food some of it was undercooked. Most of it was overcooked, and it was not good at all. I feel like we were rushed. The food was rushed. The service was rushed, and we did not get quality food or service last night. I asked the family seating at the table with us how was the rice, and they said crunchy the rice was undercooked, crunchy and raw tasting. One guy didn’t even eat his meal because it was so overcooked. My shrimp was overcooked and my veggies were burnt. I didn’t realize how much cross contamination takes place at the hibachi table, the same knife that cuts the raw seafood, cuts into raw steak

You NEED to be UNDERSTANDING and PATIENT if it's the FIRST Friday of the month. They are HELLA BUSY!! Angel is the BOMB . COM!! Great manager. The staff works hard and great.
If there's an issue with the food the staff fixes it immediately. No need to leave a nasty review, they fix it and move on. I am always satisfied with the food. Been eating here for 10 years. Great staff and food.

Cook misunderstood order, never asked. Assumed a meal was being split but again never asked and I never got what I ordered. When I told waitress who had not been back for a while. She said let me talk to manager. When she finally came back she said he thought meal was being split. So I didn't get the chicken at all but he split it up between the others in my party. Apparently we were supposed to know he did that and they did not take care of the customer at all. Didn't even take a tea off the bill for there mistake. Expensive place for bad service and low quality food. I won't be back. Simple sorry let me give you a discount or take a drink off for our mistake. Never even admitted they messed up.

This might be the absolute worst hibachi/sushi restaurant I’ve been to in the last 25 years. We made reservations for 5:30 pm on Valentine’s Day (did not have a chef come to the table until 6:45 pm). As soon as we walked in, the entire place smelled like dead fish/sewer 🤢 I almost slipped on the floor because it was covered in oil residue. When the “chef” finally arrived, he made zero small talk and showed zero hibachi skill. He was sweating profusely into the food, from his forehead to his forearms 🤢 in every other hibachi experience I’ve had, the reason for the 20% gratuity is because you get dinner and a show.. there was no show. In fact, the “chef” looked like his dog died this morning and hated the fact he even had to be there. Not to mention? The waitress acted like she didn’t want to serve anyone the soup and salad (we overpaid for) and was annoyed that she brought out more than was consumed. I ordered a glass of wine and had to wave over a complete different waitress just to get a refill. Then our chef began to cook 🤢
He spilled half of my food on the counter (it never made it to my plate) and he gave zero remorse for that. He then served fried rice to people who ordered steamed rice.. leaving the ones who paid EXTRA for fried rice with half a scoop. TO TOP IT OFF - NO SAUCE. And if you’re a sauce girly like me, you came SPECIFICALLY for the yum yum sauce. It wasn’t until the very end he asked if anyone needed sauce .. we all then replied “yes, I can’t eat any of this without sauce”. He then gave me half a bowl of sauce to eat my cold meat… Now the best part is yet to come.
My husband served 6 years in the military and when I say he has an iron gut .. he can eat ANYTHING. 5 minutes in the car and he is trying to pull over to throw up. He BARELY made it home before he had explosive diarrhea and puked up his entire meal. $140 literally wasted .. I could have gotten a better valentines meal at McDonald’s.

I'm from the NW Suburbs of Chicago and we love this Japanese Steak House by us. But when we go, it normally costs us over $200.00. When we left Nami, our bill before tip was $88.00. I told my wife that this might be the best $100.00 meal we've ever had. Best item of the night was the sashimi appetizer. Nine pieces, fresh, cut thick. Definitely will be dining there again.

The service is horrible. We waited 30 mins b4 the sever came and took our drink order. A 2nd party came in after use and some how they got a server within minutes of sitting down. We put our order in and waited another 30 minutes only for the 2nd table to get their food cooked 1st. We were waiting so long after the server turned the grill and the cook came most of the food cooked too fast. The manager claimed to look at the video to see the actual time delay. Once he returned he said it was only a 4 minute difference which was a lie because I had 2 different pictures showing we were still waiting. The server was really nice but the lack of concern from the staff to have a table waiting was unacceptable. The staff walked by several times and no one addressed us. It was completely rude.

I ordered take out on a weekday lunch. Went to pick my food up- restaurant was empty so I figured my food will be top notch cuz it’s not busy. Then I get in- the odor in the restaurant was as if a toilet was broken- very unpleasant smell. Picked my food expected yummy looking and tasting sushi and lunch bento box but instead found a gross looking food … barely warm and felt like reheated and not fresh made. I’ve never written a bed review but food had zero presentation or taste. Looked and tasted horrible - stale, overcooked and honestly gross… heb sushi if to compare taste heavenly and super fresh… this was the worst food I’ve tried in many years. I wish I could get a refund cuz I threw it away… wouldn’t recommend or come back.

Hibachi has always been my favorite place to eat out and I am not from here so when I found out there was Hibachi place near by I was super excited. Unfortunately, I was very disappointed with the customer service, the waitress had misheard me and messed up my order, which is no big deal people make mistakes, but the fix for my order was not communicated with the cook, so when the cook did not make my order as I had asked, I asked the cook if it were possible to still fix my order and she scolded me and gave me an attitude and told me it was not her problem. I was very confused by this reaction as it could’ve been a simple fix. I then waited for the waitress to come back so I could ask for a manager, and I guess that was not possible either. Truly unfortunate.

If I could give a zero I would ! How are you still in business , first drinks we’re flat , tea was sour , then we paid for hibachi got salad and hair in my sons salad , silverware dirty , waitstaff underdressed and out of it . Their were people not eating there just walking around going into the kitchen this made me very concerned. Then hibachi man comes out and no personality he was slamming the utensils so hard my head was ringing , he had a huge huge bowl of butter he scooped out at least 3 sticks of better on our food . We ordered good meals and it was saturated in butter and oil not in a good way . He burnt the vegetables. The food was not cooked properly I was so nervous . I thought I had food poisoning. I think it’s worth calling the health department. We spent 127.00 not including the huge tip for the worst food possible. We’ve been there before like 2 years ago and it was not like this . Even the other couple at the hibachi was not pleased. Any why why would you start spraying cleaners while we’re eating . I would love the chance yo know who owns this dump . It needs attention bad or someone is going to get sick .

All sushi rolls seem to come drown in spicy mayo and eel sauce. Went in late and the piece of shrimp tempura in my roll was cold and straight up soggy. Not only was I grossed out by the texture but it made me really wonder how long it had been sitting out collecting bacteria. They did offer to take it off the bill which was appropriate. Miso soup was also just not good, wayyyy too salty. Hibachi Steak And Teriyaki Chicken weren’t bad, good portions but a little more expensive than they should have been. Wait staff wasn’t pumped that we were there, and were not welcoming. Will be trying a different sushi place in the area in the future.

It was only two of us eating and no one was in the restaurant when we went, I hate complaining but when you go out to eat and spend $75 for two people my expectations are great. Our main dishes were warm, the shrimp was extra firm and my steak was under cooked. Just was not happy at all. The waitress was great I have to say but considering we were the only ones in their our food should've been preped with more pride. I would really like my money back for the what we ordered but not sure or just never go their again.

Sushi is sub par. Super small pieces for ridiculous prices. Chicken in habachi was weird and over priced. Overall sub par over priced food

Only Mongolian grill in area and have been told they are good. Unfortunately they were closed when we tried to visit. Maybe next time.

Ac seems to always be broken waitress had other things on her mind and was not attentive to my table even though we where the only ones in there for a while. I wouldn't recommend this location at all the other locations are 10x better and food is better too. Very disappointed with how this one is running

Ordered some pork ramen to go that took about 30 minutes to prepare. I got home (5 min drive) and mixed it all up and it tasted very sour and rancid... Couldn't eat it. Ordered an old fashioned while I sat at the bar for my order and it was one of the worst I've ever had. Not necessarily their fault, but the AC was also broken during my visit. Nothing about this place was worth the price. I will not be returning. Also called management to mention this order and my concerns were ignored

Go for the hibachi and you'll never regret it. Each chef has their own style and flair, so no two experiences are the same. It's always fun and delicious.

On a Saturday evening around 7 pm, we entered the restaurant. While four tables were already occupied, we became the fifth. Shortly after, two more tables filled up. Despite this, our dining experience faced challenges. Our server seemed to struggle with pacing and attentiveness. She appeared busy and apologetic, yet others managed to serve every table efficiently. Our order, unfortunately, faced considerable delays. Approximately half an hour passed before our food arrived, and even then, the rice was missing from the bulgogi dish. My repeated requests for a glass of sake went unanswered until a male server brought the wrong drink. After declining it, she returned with the same glass, only to be reminded that I had ordered nigori sake. Regrettably, she returned with an entire bottle of sake, as if the request for a single glass had been forgotten. To summarize, the service we received was subpar, and the food, though priced highly, was only mediocre. The lack of professionalism in the attire of the waitstaff was also noticeable. In comparison to the Nami in Belton, this establishment fell short. If exceptional service and truly delectable Japanese cuisine are what you seek, I would advise against considering this Nami location.

The food here is always great. Will always be a return customer. The cook had a great personality but she seemed either nervous/unsure of herself or maybe she was new. She cut the veggies very big! Would’ve liked to have them cut into smaller prices that I could chew and swallow. The greeters were pleasant up front also and were helpful with giving us some ideas of what to do around town after leaving

Can't tell if my steak was spoiled or if it had a strange sauce on it. I asked for the same thing you get at the grill... but this was most definitely NOT the same. Hubby got the Fillet Minon and he ate about 3 bites and said it was stringy like horse meat!😳 we have eaten there several times and were terribly dissapointed this time... got a to go box.. curious to see if the dog will even eat it?? Worst $100 we have spectacular in a long time.

This is one of the best pizza places in the Temple Belton area. The staff are very sweet and attentive. I love the live music on the weekends. A great place to meet friends.

The one saving star is for the sushi, which was decent. The salmon fried rice and veggies plate was horrible!! The salmon was cooked to salmon jerky, the rice was dry, and the veggies were overcooked. It was my first and last time going there. Not to mention, the price for 4 was over $150.00!!! For what, lemonade and sushi!! The main courses were not edible!! Never again.

I was hoping for more elegance. As soon as you walk in the mood was dull.
We had one visit from our server.
The steak was overcooked and sushi had that old refrigerated taste.
You'd expect better based on their prices.

We found Namis out in Belton. The food was good but the building was less than ideal (in rough shape) and you always left smelling like grease it was a bummer.
Then! Then we found there was one in Temple OMG what a difference. Every date night this is our spot. We have a server we adore, she knows us, our children, and our order down to the drinks. She laughs and jokes with my children and makes us just love the atmosphere.
I love the hibachi is separate from the sushi bar and tables. You don't leave smelling like grease. They have ample benches to wait on high volume days without being in the way.
Nine years into going, we love it more and more, and now, on 1st Fridays, half off monster rolls! It's amazing to get such wonderful cuisine on a family-friendly budget. ❤️

Have to say my family and I have been here many times but we will now go somewhere else. We went for my daughter's birthday last night and it was a horrible experience. The chief hardly spoke and when my daughter told him it was her birthday his response was "ok". While he fried the rice (Which was a 15$ hidden upcharge 3$ PER PERSON) he had rice fall in the grease trap area and he used his spatula to retrieve it. The food was very salty to the point my daughter didn't want ice cream after. When I spoke with the waiter he told us that the chief seems to not like his job anymore and that he has been fired from Namis before and that he is about to be fired again. I spent 195$ last night and normally have no issue with that but last nights service was distasteful. 15$ for frying the rice and 30$ for a forced tip even though the service sucked. The chief even left his large knife at the table when he left. When my daughter tells me that her birthday dinner sucked I take that to heart. We will now make the drive to Waco and eat at Ichiban since the prices are pretty much the same now.

This is a good place with good food and service. Sushi was very good. Everyone was very friendly. Our needs were met for the most part. We've eaten in the front and the back. Teppanyaki (What most mistakenly call hibachi) was enjoyable and good food. The rice could have used more flavor. We will be back.

There's is absolutely not a single negative about a Nami's experience. The food is outstanding, service is phenomenal, atmosphere is comfortable. Nami's is an all time favorite and special treat.
Since it's not listed below, let me just give a shout out to the Combo Fried Rice. 🤤🤤🤤 My friends and I literally start having cravings for it and the Monster Roll if it's been too long! One order of the rice and one monster roll is enough for a full meal for 3 adults with leftovers sometimes!!!

Start off by saying the Chef was great. Food was good (don't like the fact that no matter what you order it gets shared with everyone at the table. (8 people), Also to share a meal you pay an extra $5. But our 1st impression was a terrible experience. The manager (Angel?) Was very rude and not pleasant at all to work with or speak to. We called ahead were advised we couldn't make a reservation, but told for a hibachi grill seat the wait would be 30 minutes. When we arrived she stated that a large party had arrived and she sat them 1st making the wait time over an hour. No big deal. But she was swaying and pointing her fingers and really flaunting the fact that she was the manager- clearly needs more training on how to treat and act in public in a professional manner as a manager. We went to enjoy dinner for a birthday but I definitely won't be back. $80+ for kid/adult share and a child dinner. Hope the employees that were timid due to their Manager know there are many other jobs out there where they wouldn't have to deal with such rudeness and unprofessionalism.

Nami in downtown Temple has good cooks & a great price for a hibachi show. Only downside is that the location feels a little cramped inside due to the nature of the older downtown building. I would definitely recommend for a night out.

Food was the worst I’ve ever had from Japanese steakhouse. The steak was cooked well done despite saying I wanted it cooked medium. Miso soup was lukewarm and the tofu in it was hard like biting into a dry cheddar block. Staff was nice but inattentive. Had to put my jacket in and ask for the bill from across the restaurant before they would help me. Place had 5 people in it and 3 waitress, you’d think they would have plenty of time to help instead of gossip at the bar.
The positives are: friendly and accommodating for alternative food in a meal.

The servers were good. The food was sad. Fried rice was hard and cold no flavor. The udon noodles in the hibachi were super soggy like eating a worm. I’ve been to a lot of Asian restaurants and this one was saddest one I’ve been to for food. I love calamari and theirs was like Italian breading with no calamari flavor. Was like eating a mozzarella cheese stick without the cheese. The sushi roll paper was super chewy also and we love sushi so we don’t know what happened to this place but it wasn’t good at all.

Best of the Best. The food here is incredible, wether you like the hibachi, traditional Korean/Japanese dishes, a cold beer, or like my personal favorite the sushi, it's just amazing. The staff is always friendly, and the owner Daniel is an amazing man that will always go out of his way for the customer. He takes care of my entire family and their food allergies personally every time we come in. Best sushi in Temple/Belton/Killeen.

Driving in from Dallas and we called they told us as long as we were at the restaurant before 2:30 they will be serving food. We arrived at 2:20 only to see a closed sign on the door and we went in and asked if we could get food and we’re told “No very busy lunch today so we closed”. Seems odd but we’re excited as they’ve always had good food just disappointed

Do not go here! Poor customer service and food. My wife and I just had a terrible experience at Nami Japanese Steakhouse in Temple. We ordered 2 hibachi dinner plates to-go as a celebratory meal for our anniversary. The website for Nami that has the menu states the dinner hibachi plates come with soup AND salad. When we got to the car, we noticed they did not give us soup and the salad had literally only 5 pieces of lettuce (I wish I was exaggerating, but I'm not). We went back inside to at the very least get our soup. When we went back inside, the manager
actually LAUGHED at us and refused to even assist us. We spent $95 on our meal between our dinners and a roll of sushi. This could have been easily rectified by the staff if they had just given us ALL the food we paid for. Japanese hibachi is our absolute favorite, but we will not be going back to Nami. Ever.

I brought a date for Sushi. We ordered 3 different rolls. The last roll was fried and very very undercooked. It was a soggy grossness that later destroyed my stomach after I ate a piece. The manager refused to take it off of my bill. He made me pay for it. For 2 people I nearly paid $150. Because I was on a date I did not fight it. I did not want to embarrass her. I am very upset about it.

Nami consistently provides great food. Everything's hot and delicious. Only problem, and not really a problem, is that you're going to spend an hour there waiting on food. Doesn't work for folks that have 30 minutes to eat. Highly recommend the bento box for lunch.

FOOD WAS AWSOME, how ever customer service was Questionable our waitress disappeared, so a young man who was helping serve drinks was able to help take our orders, now mind you there where 10 people sitting at the grill and he did a great 👍 Job, I cemmand this young man, but for the waitress, my opinion she needs to work on her people skills.

We typically love Nami’s, but won’t be back after tonight. Took some friends for a night out and recommended Nami’s to them to eat. Big mistake. The salad was wilted. The soup was cold. The shrimp was not de-veined. And their hibachi vegetables had literal chunks of dirt on them. Do better, especially since meals are $20plus there.

This delightful restaurant sits right in the heart of downtown Temple. On weekdays for lunch, it is relatively quiet. A variety of seating is available for all sizes of groups. Up to ten people can sit at the hibachi grill. I had the lunch menu Teriyaki Salmon Bento, and it was amazing! The salmon was perfectly cooked and seasoned, the tempura was crispy, and the yum yum sauce added an extra zing of flavor. Teagan provided excellent service, checking on us regularly. Delicious! Highly recommend!

I ate dinner there with 2 others, there was something off with the Austin Sushi appetizer. The stuffed mushrooms were amazing! 2 of us ordered steak and lobster and the other ordered shrimp hibachi. The steak and lobster is not nearly worth what the restaurant charges for them on the menu. The service was great but most of the food generally not worth what your asking me to pay. Spent $150 plus when if I would have stayed home to cook this I wouldn't have spent half that and made better quality food myself.

I read the reviews and was a little iffy about going to eat at this place, but I thought you can't always make everyone happy. So went anyway. Suchi wasn't the best but not the worst. Rice was undercooked. Still hard in the middle. Steak was nothing but grizzle pieces I had to spit out because I couldn't chew it. Some of the vegetables were soggy and some hard. The shrimp was slimy. Staff has no ediquette. Was told by staff they pre make there items, freeze it and take out just the portions needed.
