Not that the waitress was bad. She was very kind but too slow, 10 minutes for a draft beer.

Tuna tower was awful, I wish I had known it was made with canned tuna before I ordered. It looked like they dumped a can of tuna over minute made rice , I was hopeful about the flavor but it was like canned tuna over rice left in the refrigerator to long. Gross. Everyone else’s dishes also lacked flavor, the Bora Bora and the other rolls no real flavor. It was a very sad waste of money. I miss the wonderful flavors from years ago.

This review is specially for Stone Oak location as the other Sushi Zushi's in San Antonio-are usually fine. I ordered food at 5:45pm. It’s now 7:45pm and still not here. The order was placed online on the Sushi Zushi website and said it would be delivered between 6:35pm and 6:50pm. The delivery driver hasn’t even left with my food yet, because it’s still not ready. The delivery driver is a third party driver through Door Dash and he said Sushi Zushi still doesn't have the order ready and it would be another two hours before it could be delivered because they are backed up. I stated I wanted a refund because I'm not going to wait another two hours for the food to be delivered and he said I would need to call Sushi Zushi because they are the ones who would need to issue me a refund and cancel the order. I called them and was waiting for someone to answer for 15 minutes...no one ever picked up the phone. I want to cancel the order but since no one will pick up the phone I cannot get a refund for this. If it wasn’t the only place where I could find a specific roll, I would never order from here. I would've gone to the Sushi Zushi at the Colonade which and faster service, but they were further away from where I live. I'm now stuck trying to get a hold of someone to cancel my order. I will never order from the Sushi Zushi Stone Oak location again-it's not worth it.

Ordered food to be delivered. Normally the fried rice bowl is completely full. I ordered 2. They basically split one order of the rice into 2 half full bowls and charged me for 2 orders. Seems like everyone is a scammer these days.

The wait staff got our 4 orders wrong. When we finally got it as we ordered it, it was a little on the burned side. We were sitting there and a roach just casually settled in at the chair next to us. We alerted management. He just walked up and grabbed a napkin from our table to squish it. He then sent us a bill with 15% off.

Despite not being a busy night, we sat at the bar and were mostly ignored by the bartender. Had to flag him down for any type of need. We were there to have fun and possibly enjoy some appetizers but didn’t order any as he was unavailable. This was honestly, and sadly, a zero in service which I’ve never experienced. I’d be glad to speak to someone further in management as it was that bad.

I came here about a year ago and service was super slow but no biggie sometimes waitstaff has bad days. I revisited last week on a Friday and it was the same male waiter from a year ago. Was sitting at my table over 30 minutes and he still had not taken our order. Mind you this is a Friday night and there were only 4 tables full so that should’ve told me how the quality has gone down. This particular waiter must be either the owner or the owner’s son because surely management must know how bad service is and they still keep him around. I think that’s the last time I’ll try this place.

My daughter got food poisoning and ended up vomiting at the restaurant and in the car on the way home (fortunately I keep barf bags in my car). There was one waiter who was doing his best, but overall I can say with great confidence that we will not return. It used to be a great place, but it's really gone down hill.

Let me start with: Julia, the server, was exceptional. She was incredibly attentive, constantly refilling our drinks and ensuring we had everything we needed.

While the service was top-notch, the food was a bit disappointing. The $18 Toro, compared to other places, fell short in terms of fish quality and seemed overpriced. The Poke Bento was also ... , with subpar rolls and a mediocre poke. Not the best.

Despite the food, the atmosphere was great. Good music and upscale, clean environment created a great ambiance.

Total price tag was $50

My husband & I had a hankering for some sushi so we stopped by for lunch today. The bartender was welcoming but not attentive.
We sat at the empty bar & I had to reach over it for napkins & soy sauce as the bartender spent a lot of our visit in the kitchen. My water also tasted like soap & I received a replacement. The salmon tower appetizer & rice were great as always but the two rolls & sashimi were mediocre at best. At the end of the meal my husband felt something crawling on his hand & looked over & it was a roach!
My husband brought the roach to the attention of the bar tender and she quickly took care of it. We didn't receive even an apology from the waitress or management.
Needless to say we won't be back!

They were very busy when we arrived and seemed under-staffed. In addition to the 40 minute wait to be seated, it took an additional hour to receive our food after ordering. The waitress also kept forgetting items I had ordered. Food quality was good, they made sure to bring the hot items out as soon as they were ready so that they weren't cold by the time we got our sushi rolls. The waitress was very friendly and made good recommendations on drink options.

Updating a few years later. This location has really fallen. Always understaffed, the food took forever to come, and there was a cross-contamination that sent one of our party to the ER with an allergic reaction.

So sad. We've loved this place for years and it looks like the writing is on the wall. The women's bathroom has been broken for at least a month, there are no tap beers because the keg cooler is broken, there are holes in the walls, the tables are sticky, menus are stained, and there's dried sauce on the walls. The atmosphere just feels gross. The food had held up and the service is still great, but tonight I turned back a roll for the first time. They promptly replaced it and the new one was great, but it's weird that they would serve an old roll in the first place.

My partner and I arrived shortly before 8PM. We noticed that the restaurant was “dead” maybe three tables used. We got seated and for 20 minutes, NOT A SINGLE SERVER ACKNOWLEDGED US. We had two of them pass us MULTIPLE times. I would have give n grace if they were busy but they weren’t. Or maybe have the decency to say hi. We were so disappointed so we just decided to leave. Our first impression was terrible.

I was hesitant to leave this review because of the damage it may do to this restaurant but I think it’s fair to let people know that we dined here about 2 weeks ago. Ordered the Cristina and Red moon roll. After we were done eating, my husband realized there was a dead roach in the shredded jicama left on the plate. I almost puked. Also want to mention that we never even received an apology from the restaurant. Very disgusted and disappointed with this restaurant. We will not be returning.

This particular location was my "go to" a decade ago. I have not been back as I've grown very fond of a rival in town that is the best. Sticking to this review I will reveal some low points to my visit yesterday after attending the comic show at Alzafar Shrine.
First off, my visit was around 1:30 so there weren't many patrons in the restaurant. I was promptly sat at a table that has one chair and other side is a sofa-style bench. I decided to sit on the sofa bench so my back would not be against the front of the restaurant. I sank lower than the table top and it was obvious I was sitting on the chair.
The table was sticky and the menus were old and worn. Took awhile for me to get noticed and once I did I immediately ordered one glass of wine, a dragon roll, yellow tail nigiri, octopus nigiri and salmon roe nigiri. Simple.
I drank the entire glass of wine before my food arrived...roughly half an hour...and mind you there are around five couples in the entire restaurant!
I ordered another glass of wine which took awhile longer to get as I started on the food. The octopus tasted as if it had been marinated in faucet water. The texture was so bad it took me around a minute to eat one piece. I did not go back to the second piece and instead examined it....looked old and worn like the menus and had a fish smell.
The yellow tail was decent (thankfully) but the portions were very small with too much rice. The salmon roe was the exact opposite. Each piece had the equivalent of three orders in one! Needless to say I was not about to pop that piece into my mouth all at once. So I simply scooped the ikura out with my chopsticks and ate it without the rice.
The dragon roll had mushy eel on the outside and was drenched in the sauce topping. The pieces were of all sizes and created by an amateur chef.
My bill came quicker than the food and wine and that was great because I needed to leave and grab some omeprazole.
What a huge disappointment. As I said, this location used to be a hot spot on the weekends with great food and fresh fish. It has devolved into last place in the city. I'd rather eat the HEB Sushiya than the sushi sold here.
Obviously not going back ever.

Our waiter was personable and my issue with service was because 20-25 minutes (maybe more) elapsed between when the first person at our table got her food and when the last person at our table, me, got my order. We all insisted she not wait, but she wanted to be polite. Finally we convinced her not to let tempura get cold and eat it. There were 5 of us at the table. I believe that is too long between orders coming to the same party.

On your uber order update it so customers can choose the different sauces available. I have been eating here for years and it's just not the same without the sauces and there is no way to indicate the exact ones I want. There is no notes. There is no individual ones like some other places like sushi seven offer online. I ordered 8 sauces and got 4. The reason I ordered 8 is because I wanted 4 of one vs 2 and 2 and yet I didn't get the what I asked for. It ruins the experience when the favor is different. We'll half of my meal was great the other half was missing the sauce. 😵

Sadly, this is the perfect example on why businesses fail. After the closing of their locations in Dallas, on a trip to San Antonio we decided to go back. Although we made a reservation and the restaurant was empty, the hostess still made us wait 10 minutes. Food was below average. Couple of rolls were actually bad, as in smelling bad. Can’t remember a time I sent food back in a restaurant.
Again, sad. It was a wonderful spot.

This is for the Stone Oak location.

I ordered food at 5 pm. It’s 8:30 and still not here. The delivery driver hasn’t even left with my food yet, because it’s still not ready. If it wasn’t the only place where I could find a specific roll, I would never order from here. There is almost always an issue with my orders.

I also placed my order online, directly from their webpage, and it said they offered delivery. Nowhere did it say the delivery was made by a third party like DoorDash. So, we ordered delivery instead of carry out.
We’ve had terrible experiences previously by third parties doing the deliveries, so if they had noted that the delivery was made by DoorDash, and not by someone from sushi Zushi, we would have ordered it for pick up instead.

From our experience out of multiple times we’ve ordered or been here, the Lincoln Heights has much better quality to be honest, but it’s a lot further from us.

Edit: order finally got here at 9 pm, and the wait was most definitely not worth it.

One of the rolls we ordered, where we specified no avocado, had avocado, so the person who had been waiting hours for it, couldn’t have it due to allergies.

Our chicken fried rice was insanely salty, to the point where we couldn’t eat it. We had 3 orders…

We also ordered some spices to add to the rolls, and paid for those, but did not receive them either. At least those were cheap.

Instead of the spices we seem to have gotten extra plain fried rice? So, someone else’s order is probably missing the rice we got. Unlike the chicken fried rice, this rice seems to not have an ounce of salt in it. So at least there’s that to balance the extremely salty chicken fried rice, I guess.

Overall, I think this is our last time ordering from here. We fell in love with sushi Zushi at the Lincoln Heights location, but we keep trying the stone oak, and almost every single time, we’ve gotten something wrong with our order, the food is not the best, or the order ends up getting cancelled out of them taking so long to have it ready.

Do yourself a favor, and drive a little longer for the Lincoln Heights location. The Stone Oak location is not worth it.

The atmosphere at the restaurant was pleasant, and the server provided great service. However, the tap water had a strange chemical taste, and the salmon tower was too fishy for my liking. I love sushi, and nigiri is one of my favorite foods, but this was different 😞. Additionally, we ordered two other rolls, and one was too fishy to eat. I’ve tried many different sushi places, and I was surprised at how fishy a roll could be here. Maybe the fish wasn’t as fresh as usual? Not sure what happened but I was a bit disappointed. 😢

I usually have a good experience and have left good reviews in the past on my old account, but today my katsu Don came very burnt. My husband also ordered some and his was cooked correctly, but I couldnt finish half of mine because the burnt flavor was overwhelming. I know mistakes happen, but sending something out that's burnt because you know you can cover it up with rice and Garnishes isn't the way to do it..

Food is always delicious, but today for the third time I went and was disgusted by how sticky the tables are and how filthy everything looks. The shutters have 1/4 of an inch of dust on them and the little soy plates stick to the tables… this restaurant has been open for years, it should be updated and freshened up.
I really had a hard time enjoying my food. We even had to change tables because it was not clean, and the one we moved to was not that much better.
For the prices this restaurant has this should be taken care of.

Another update. May 15th 2024.
I've been very upset with this company for a long time.Many, many years they have not changed out the commercial Rooftop AC unit and it has been a problem for 2 and a 1/2 to 3 years easy. They've lost many good employees because of this problem. I do not understand the new owners. And they've been new owners for a while now. The inside of the facility is in dire need of many things a resurface on the floor and all of the tables are sticky when you touch them even if they're clean, they need to be sanded stained and resealed. There are walls that have had holes in them a big one for the longest time by the women's bathroom, the walls need to be painted and fixed. I've talked to many customers over the years. That stopped coming here because of this problem with the AC. And how the building has gone downhill. All of your better paying customers have gone elsewhere. Also, you're associates don't ask to make sure you're on the rewards program when you come and eat. And they're supposed to do that. There are literally so many issues here. It's unfortunate. I really used to love coming here. This used to be a hangout for a lot of people.

I've been meaning to do this review for a really long time there were a couple issues with this location over the many years I've been coming then I moved out of state and I started coming back again recently Cooper behind the bar is absolutely amazing he listens to everything you ask him to do and he does it. I always get the tuna Tower when I go there and there's specific things I want them to do and every time I ask for it he makes sure it's done right... whoever is making my tuna Tower does a great job cuz most of the time it was like a rice Tower but they have gotten better as of late. The problem with the AC not working is finally fixed and they're gradually getting their clientele back... they did change out all their Cooks so there's no more rude people!!

I left San Antonio for about 5 years. I really missed this place, now the 1st time I came to have my tuna tower it wasn't very good it was more like a rice tower with hardly any tuna, avocado or tabiko, definately not like I remember but the 2nd time the guy who made it was awesome. I think his name is Greg. I attached the picture of my tower!! I crave this and when made well is so worth it!!

Great place, friendly excellent service. Happy Hour seven days a week, or at least it was when I first wrote this review. Due to the current pandemic, I haven't been there in a while. But the last time I was there, Happy Hour had been reduced to 5 days a week, no weekends. And it now ends at 6, not 7PM which is a bit
disappointing. All good things must come to an end I guess.

Four years ago I gave this place a 5 star rating. Food and service were great. Place was clean and reasonably cheap. We'd hit Happy Hour and then move on to dinner. Thomas was our go to waiter, and the manager Jodi would always come over to say hello.

About a year ago was our last visit. As mentioned above, Happy Hour had changed, it was more expensive and not quite as good. I note all of the 1 ratings now, and I also find it interesting that the Local Guide reviews all seem to be great.
Things must have gotten far worse which is sad. I won't change the original rating as they earned it back then. Today, I urge you to read the newer ones before going here. Sushi is too important!

Went out for mother day this past weekend 5/12/24. We waited by the door for 10 minutes before anyone acknowledged us. Several people walked by. We got there right before 3:15 pm. We had our almost 2 year old and 4 year old with us. Our server seemed nice but WOW was service slow and there were several things I had to ask for. Plus, it took over 20 minutes just to get our drinks. Our server never brought out one of our appetizers and when I asked to make sure it was removed from the tab, there was no apology. It’s like they were so oblivious to horrible service. I had to ask the host for chopsticks, plates and our tab. We waited 30 minutes for a check to come around. We ordered all our drinks and food the minute our server greeted us because little kids can’t sit long. What should have taken an hour max almost took 2 hours. I missed my servers name. Only way to describe them is they had long hair up in a bun. We still tipped 20% because it is a holiday but it wasn’t deserved. I love the food at sushi zushi but reading these reviews, I will not be back to this location. Also adding we saw other tables get seated next to us and leave because no one greeted them. We should have done the same but it’s so much work to get the kids in and out of the car. I regret not leaving.

Edit: Used to be my favorite sushi restaurant in SA. Now every time i get a pick up order i need to wait 40 minutes extra to the pick up time. If youre looking for take out think again.

I feel bad for the girls at the counter. They are terribly understaffed.

*sigh* it is with a heavy heart we have finally given up. My wife and I began our relationship with a visit to sushi zushi. We have been together for 14 years. The majority of our major life decisions have been made over glasses of sake and wine from this restaurant. We forged such a strong relationship with our regular server that we invited her to our small wedding.

A few years ago the restaurant took a major downhill turn. They had major AC issues. It’s hard to keep faith in a restaurant that serves raw fish but can’t keep the ambiance cool. We persevered. Most visits we had conversations about, “surely it will be fixed next time.” Etcetera. It honestly took MONTHS too long. I believe it killed their clientele base. My wife and I held out.

It never recovered. It’s been years and even though, after what was a ridiculously long time they fixed the AC, the restaurant is never full. During busy hours there may be a wait, but never due to capacity. The limiting factor is now servers. Due to the balance of customers and open tables the service is poor. They have a a low number of servers, but the tables are only half full. It is disconcerting to have a wait, but see a mostly empty restaurant.

Through it all… the AC, the impossibility of getting orders right, the waits with open tables, the in attention to tables with only 3 waitstaff and 1/2 empty restaurant, we wouldn’t give up. Tonight was the final straw…

My wife’s birthday, yet another memorable occasion we chose to spend there, we walked in and… no F@“&$’ way… the AC is out again. Fans were spread around the floor. The reason, the load is too high per unit, so one goes down and the others take the tax and wear out before the system can be righted. Owner discretion applied here.

We almost cried walking out as this is the close of a major chapter. We loved this place… we rode it as it crashed and burned. Now we are going to go find some other place. I just wish this could have been managed in a way that didn’t make it so intolerable. Maybe in 10 years we will come back to a thriving environment and all won’t be lost. Our business won’t be a part of that, but one can dream.

My bets against it though… history being what it is… one chapter ends… another begins.

2 in my party. Arrived on a Wednesday at 6:25pm. Was told a 20 minute wait. When 20 minutes was up we were told they were waiting on 2 large parties coming at 7pm. Sat at the bar hoping to just get a drink & go ahead & eat at the bar. Bartender stated the bar was the best seat. He gave us water & never rounded back to take our drink order or provide menu's. Asked a waited walking by for 2 menu's. Bartender still never came back to assist. We finally decided to just sit at a table. Once seated we ordered our drinks & didn't receive those until 25 minutes later. We finally ordered our meals & that was another wait.

The restaurant was not that busy. We've eaten at both the Colonnade & downtown locations which were much more busy than this one. Service was always exceptional. Very disappointed with the 1604 location. We won't be back. I still gave a tip out of courtesy to our waiter who was the only one working so hard.

This store has gotten my order wrong so many times that I have questioned my own sanity. I have been in store for pick up, delivery and eaten in. The wait times to take with someone on the phone are insane, the staff are rude and they don’t know how to get your order correct. All the delivery drivers hate this place because it takes so long for food to be prepared. Steer clear if you want food within 2 hours. Oh and when it does arrive be prepared to wait on hold to talk with a manager. I was told “they couldn’t find the manager”. Fair thee well sushi zushi. Tonight was my last order of over 100 orders. The tuna tower and gyoza were the best things out of everything we ordered. Definitely would not order the jack roll or the stir fried rice. The oil they were cooked in tasted burnt/old. We ordered pick up through grub hub and were given a pick up time of 8:45-8:55. We ordered 3 rolls, with no ginger, due to a food allergy. When we showed up, our order was missing the third roll. The girl working at the to go counter was extremely rude, she said she forgot to put in the other roll but we could wait while it was being made. Another 15 min passed as the other two rolls that were supposed to be hot…died in their to go bag. When I asked her about the cosimo rolls going bad, she said they would be fine as they were only there for 5 minutes, which was clearly incorrect as we had now been waiting for an extra 15 min for them to make the roll she forgot. She also informed me, if I wanted a refund, I would have to talk to grub hub, she couldn’t help me. Once the other roll was ready, she walked over tossed it to my wife in just the to go container, no bag, no apology and said “here”. And now for the best part….when we got home to finally eat our rolls, they all had ginger!!! So we couldn’t even eat them because my wife has a food allergy to ginger! I called the restaurant and thankfully Cassie the manager was helpful and offered to remake the food for us, which I appreciated. I’ve been eating at and ordering take out from Sushi Zushi for years, I have also worked in the food industry and I can say with complete confidence that the service and food at Sushi Zushi has gone dramatically down hill. It’s disheartening to say the least, it used to be so good and we loved date nights there. We didn’t go back for the remake of the order, but instead had Cassie leave a note and a copy of the receipt for a credit for future use. I’m not sure if we will use it or not but I’m grateful that she at least apologize and attempted to make it right.

I do not eat sushi but we went for a family member's birthday. While the restaurant wasn't really busy, the service took too long. Our food arrived sporadically so some ate while others watched. I had chicken Katsu with curry. It tasted good but the rice seemed old and the curry sauce had a film on top by the time I got my plate. The sushi arrived but we had to ask for everything like soy sauce, and wasabi, which they were out of which is apparently used for a lot of sushi dishes. Not having hot tea was another fail. Maybe this was just a bad day, I would try again.

This place is a shadow of what it used to be. My mother and I went here for lunch and could not be more disappointed with the service we received. The atmosphere is dingy and not welcoming. It's clear that this location really needs to hire more staff and improve the atmosphere. Otherwise, this restaurant should be shut down.

We were greeted by the hostess and taken to a table. We then waited over ten minutes before we managed to flag someone down to at least get started on drinks (although we were ready to order). Twice, we asked the hostess what was taking so long, but we were only told they were short staffed. During this time, the waiter (Jesse/Jessie) who was supposed to serve us helped other customers around us, but never greeted us. The person we finally got service from was actually the cashier who was picking up slack and bringing food to tables (unfortunately, I did not catch her name, but she deserves a raise).

The cashier took our order and brought us our drinks. It was only after this that Jesse finally came to our table. However, instead of apologizing or explaining what took them so long, they acted as if we had just sat down. We told Jesse that the cashier had in fact already helped us.

We finally got our food, which was fine. During our meal, we noted that other customers who had been seated were also waiting upwards of ten minutes before being served. After we finished eating, we asked the cashier for the check. Jesse brought it to us, once again not apologizing or explaining their lack of service. I tipped the cashier, but not Jesse, as they did not serve us at all.

Apparently the reason for the shortage of staff is due to previous managers driving away other employees.

As for the atmosphere, it seems that at least half of the lights are dead, the floor is sticky, and the laminate on the menus are peeling away. It was not a welcoming environment.

We will not be coming to this location again.

Second time ordering pickup from this location. First time was told my order would be ready 40 minutes after the website told me it would be ready. This time online said it would be ready at 1828. Arrived at 1830 and was told it would be another 25 minutes. I order on my way to work. I generally don’t have much wiggle room. If there’s an issue it should be noticed in my 40 minute drive to get there and the time updated. The girl at the take out area was very nice and helpful. I asked her to just cancel the order. She said she had to get the manager. Manager came out, never acknowledged me, didn’t make eye contact, and turned to her employee and said “it’s done “ I will NEVER set foot in or purchase anything from this establishment again. And I will make sure everyone knows what kind of service they offer.

DO NOT GET TAKE OUT FROM THIS RESTAURANT. Absolutely HORRENDOUS experience. We have been loyal customers and have gotten take out from this restaurant for over ten years. The customer service has changed in the last few months and become absolutely abysmal. We ordered a $200 take out order and were told it would be a 30 minute wait. We showed up at the restaurant to pick up our food after the 30 minutes and were told it would take an additional 30 minutes. We waited the additional 30 minutes and our food STILL was not ready. Not to mention the staff was extremely rude and walked off into the kitchen while I was speaking to her. Absolutely astounding. It took a total of an hour and 45 minutes to get our food and part of the order was wrong. We were not comped in any way and the staff could not have been more rude. As a longtime loyal customer, I will NEVER go here again and will ensure all of my friends and family never come back. We did not spend good money on this food to be treated like garbage and get the wrong order. There was a line of 10 people also waiting for over an hour for their food too. No excuses for this.

The food is good and reasonably priced, but they are completely understaffed and have been for months. From the time you get there to the time you get your food, it could be an hour and a half to 2 and a half hours. They are often limited in their seating ability by either wait staff capacity or the kitchen, but I'm not sure why they haven't solved the issue at this point. Even with the insane backup they experience, they do not accept call ahead or reservations. I will unfortunately not be going back unless I hear the restaurant is being run better in the future. Just not worth the wait for what you get. I love the location and the type of food they serve, so I'm hoping they resolve their limitations.

Yesterday walked into the Stome Oak location as a guy was barreling out with his party of 7 and yelled at the hostess that no one had helped them in 30 min. Soon after the hostess came over and stated that servers had walked out on their shifts and they could no longer seat our party of 8 for a birthday lunch. There were no more than 3 small tables of 3/4 people at the time. There were at least 5 employees present standing in a group at the end of the sushi bar. I used to LOVE coming to this place not only because they serve 2 of my favorite things in their menu, but because I know the owner, and up until today I’d come here about 2 to 3 times per week; one of those being with a large group of people (this was our weekly-go-to meeting place). Our waitress (don’t know her name but had heavy makeup-up brows and what seemed to be like thunder drawn on her face for Halloween) was condescending and not very nice. Fifth time I've been here and the AC still doesn't work. The bartender had fans blowing in all directions for decent airflow. But this has been an ongoing issue for at least a year. Every time I try to give this place a chance, it's disappointing and literally hot.

Now the food itself is fresh and amazing but the kitchen is incredibly slow and has been for some time. You'd think after being established for as long as they have that they'd know how to keep up with the dining pace. This last time I was there, 6 days ago, it was Very slow at the bartop for 7p on a weekend day and it still took 30min to get my food. I was the Only one sitting at the bar btw. A gentleman sat down near me a bit later and had to wait just as long as I did to get his food. And no, the restaurant wasn't buzzing with full tables and an empty bartop, so there's no reason for the kitchen to take as long as it did.

The server also forgot to add the correct amount of nigiri orders and had no clue what sushi I was missing. She thought Salmon was shrimp and when I corrected her, she then pointed at the tuna and said oh sorry that one is the shrimp.. I never ordered shrimp. How I even got the correct sushi when she can't even identify the food correctly, is beyond me.

This will be the last time I show up. The food is great but the pace of the kitchen, lack of general AC amenities and service is subpar and not worth it.

I even told her I really don't care about the discount as long as I get the order. I already knew what I wanted since I tried to order it three times already. But she was very friendly. Terrible food. The soft shell crab was bad (as in it had GONE BAD)- it tasted sour/fishy and smelled horrible. Tasted like blue cheese and I’m worried I’ll get food poisoning from it. Customer service is on point with staff caring enough to come back and check on you quite frequently making sure you are not missing anything or need anything. Wonderful.

Entre que hay mucha gente porque la comida es buena, no prestan atención en el servicio ni customer service. Se ve que los susheros hacen lo que pueden, pero sentarnos en una mesa sucia y esperar 29 minutos para que la limpien, nos traingan agua y nos tomen la orden.....es ridiculo. Asi de bueno y así de malo. Contraten más gente, pero comprometida !!!!!

I was seated at 6:30pm waiter brought my menu at 6:40, at which time Iordered my drink and meal as Iknew what I wanted. He came back with my drink at 6:50. I never saw him or my meal. I walked out at 7:30 hungry and upset. Worst service ever. Wasn't busy at all only 25% full.

Went on mother's day. They only had four chefs and were swamped w online takeout and everyone wanting to sit inside had to wait over an hour outside before being seated and took another hour for our food. Wasn't the greatest sushi either and expensive

Food always fresh and great service from the worlds greatest and most sweetest waitress....I mean even as busy as she was we felt like her only customers....... Her name is Valerie
Unfortunately...wont be going back until cool weather next year....their A.C. is the worst.....we sweated from the time we got there until we finally got to leave....i couldn't wait.....most uncomfortable dinner EVER though we tried to make it fun....so sad because this was our favorite place to eat for almost 12 years.....We had gone to the other Sushi Zushi on Basse Rd a couple of weeks ago and it was hot also so that's why we chose this place again...... hadn't been in a while and figured it would be cooler and worth the drive.....but really quite a disappointment...... will look forward to next year when it cools off November but darn it it's an awfully long time to wait so we'll have to try other sushi places in the meantime and may find that if it's cooler and comfy elsewhere we'll just keep going....so so bummed..... Like losing a friend (for foodies)

I was quoted a 30 to 40 minute wait I'm still here an hour and 10 minutes later I do not recommend this place for delivery drivers.I would just have it reassigned or denied staff here is understaffed looks like and they are just not accurate on their quotes.

The wait time is just plain bad.
After being here over an hour and the response I got was there is orders ahead of you.

At 1 hour 20 minutes and only water so far. Downhill every year since 2016. Can't make any more excuses for it. off the list....

update: 1h 35m - still missing dishes. katsu curry arrived cold with sauce already solidified. at 1h 40min -- last dishes arrive. kids exhausted. painful evening. finally packing up dishes to eat at home.

They waitress is fantastic, but the food leaves a lot to be desired. Mine didn't come with all that it was listed as having and it was very dry. My friends was ice cold and took about an hour to get. They weren't busy when we got there. This was my second trip here and will probably be my last .
