Wild Goji Revolving Sushi & Bar offers a fun and fast-paced dining experience where fresh sushi and other Japanese cuisine are delivered directly to your table via a conveyor belt. Guests can choose from a wide variety of plates as they pass by, creating a personalized and interactive dining experience.
What a fun experience! I have never been to a revolving sushi bar, but this was fun! I appreciated that there was a menu to order from, but I also didn’t realize that the main menu items would be revolving as well. I would have waited for a couple different rolls on the conveyor to try more, but I got a HUGE roll from the menu (it was like 10 pieces). We enjoyed the atmosphere and came for their grand opening (which I guess was a reopening/launch?). As part of the launch, they offered complimentary champagne and a little sushi charm!

Updating my review since they relaunched as a revolving sushi bar. We came in the first day of the soft open and it was packed. The renovations look great and the food is still delicious. You can grab from the conveyor belt or order from a smaller menu. The tempura vegetables were delicious and everything I snagged off the conveyor belt was worth it.

This place is ideal if you're seeking affordable sushi but are undecided about what to eat. In my opinion, the service is impeccable, and the food is excellent. However, some dishes require a specific taste. It's great for date night or a group lunch/dinner.

If you are disappointed about their competition, definitely give this one a try. Night and day from their competitors!!! Clean, fresh, bright, excellent service. Conveyer belt is well stocked that you don’t feel regret on where you are sat. Only ding is the tuna nigiri wasn’t my favorite. I definitely recommend the seared salmon with mayo and seared beef with yakinku sauce. We ate from the belt so no train this time. Definitely will be back

The food is good and the atmosphere is cool (especially the little train). A bit pricey for how much you get. For $4.25 you get just one bite or piece of sushi. If they added a couple more pieces it would be worth it. Service was bad. I know they’re understaffed but being only checked on once for your drink order and food order and that’s it (waiter checked on us for a total of 2 times) for 40 minutes is ridiculous to me. 3 stars, I would not come again.

A Disappointing Shift from Date-Night Destination to Disconnected Experience
This restaurant used to be a go-to for an intimate night out. Unfortunately, the recent remodel has stripped it of all charm, transforming it into a bright, loud, fast-paced experience with an oddly sterile and robotic feel. The atmosphere feels more like an assembly line than a dining room—hardly the setting for a memorable night, though it may be a good way to distract ADD children.
The sushi quality has notably declined, and it’s clear there’s little attention to temperature control. Plates circle endlessly on a conveyor belt, making it impossible for diners or servers to know when a dish was prepared. It’s frustrating to watch as items sit out far too long, and in some cases, even get touched or sneezed on by unsupervised children. The once-pristine, high-quality sushi feels less fresh, and overall, the back-of-house preparation seems to lack the consistency that made this place a top choice.
Even the serving staff, who are somehow still part of the experience, seem limited in how much they can contribute in this new, automated approach.
It’s unfortunate to see such a dramatic shift in both atmosphere and quality—what was once an elevated, special experience is now just another rushed, forgettable meal.

Beautiful remodeling at Wild Goji with a super clean and neat rotating sushi belt complete with a bullet train that brings made to order items. Easy pricing model and excellent service make this location great. The fried rice is very tasty with a sweet flavor. Also appreciate the extensive soju and sake lists!

Loved eating here! The food is great quality and you get to try many different plates. The server was friendly and explained how everything worked. There are menu items that you can get apart from the sushi rolls and other items on the revolving band and they will be brought to you by the cute little train, so much fun!

Cute conveyor belt restaurant. Note that each type of item on the conveyor belt is preceded by a three-sided sign naming the item. I suggest waiting for the more interesting items to come around. Also make sure to order at least one item off the "kitchen menu," so the train will make a delivery to your table.

Very overpriced when I can go down the road to Kura and get much better for cheaper

Superb experience! Every dish was excellent and there was a great variety of plates to sample. The conveyor belt was well stocked the whole duration of our visit, and our personalized orders came promptly to us. Our server was very friendly and attentive. Great ambiance & low noise level. Will definitely be back again.

The food quality was good right after the new opening. I've visited about seven times so far, but the quality of the food has begun to decrease little by little every time I go. The last time I visited a few days ago, I was so disappointed. The business hours were until 10 p.m. that day, and I arrived at the restaurant around 7:40. There were two hours and 20 minutes left before the end of business, but there was little food on the conveyor belt. There were only appetizers and three or four kinds of sushi left on the belt, but no one filled the food. After waiting, I had to order food from the server . Other table guests were also looking at the empty belt while waiting for the food to be placed on the belt. I visited on weekends and weekdays, but it was really better not to go on weekdays. Even at lunchtime, food was not on the belt.

This was our first visit to Wild Goji on Blanco and we could not have been more impressed!!! Super friendly greetings, amazing wait staff, fresh food and CLEAN (which is way more than I can say about another revolving sushi restaurant with a different name). It was my daughter's birthday and they saw her birthday pin and wished her a happy birthday, which was super sweet. With no prompting from us, the staff came out and sang her happy birthday, gave her a bowl of ice cream with a surprise candle, *AND* a little sushi keychain! Our waiter was incredibly patient with our older family members and just an all around wonderful human. I highly recommend this place!

It’s a nice concept but kinda over priced for 2 pieces of sushi a plate. Service was ok. Didn’t even get to try many things since the kitchen was not putting out much for the whole hour we were there. If you wanna try it go early and really only grab what you really want to try otherwise you end up spending almost $100 for stuff that’s basic quality and not something that really sticks out.

Super cute sushi restaurant. It was so fun having our food go around on a revolving belt. I would add the suggestion to have a description of the item as it comes around. Not all of us are familiar with particular sushi rolls and some items with labels we’re not even on the menu.

We were very excited to try Goji, but we quickly found ourselves with room temperature raw sushi. There is no chiller on the conveyer belt which leaves all of the sushi room temperature or warmer. While I know raw sushi can be in room temp for small periods of time, the combination of cut vegetables and the contaminants of whatever people bring into the restaurant negates the safety. The hot dishes were good, and the servers were very nice though; however, it did take longer than expected to get our one hot dish of Japanese fried rice.

This was a perfect pick for date night! The experience all in all was wonderful. The revolving belt was something new, the plates offerend overall were good, our favorite was some kind of sashimi with pineapple. We ordered from the menu a few rolls that did not disappoint and curiosity had us try the foie gras sashimi…SO GOOD! Our server was attentive and friendly, the mixed drinks are visually delightful and tasty. The ambience was quaint, authentic and pleasing. 10/10 recommended.

We’ve loved Wild Goji ever since it opened and were excited to try it after its renovations and addition of the conveyor belt concept!
We really enjoyed being able to try a bunch of different rolls & plates instead of just the same 2 rolls we would usually get. Everything was delicious! Service was excellent and the interior looks very fresh and elegant! We can’t wait to come back. The only thing missing from their original menu which was one of our favorite items was the Shazam shrimp… hoping they will bring that back! 🤞

Its very good and I do recommend trying it. For me Kura is just better. The variety and taste of the sushi is just superior at Kura to me, but they did have a couple of interesting things here. The two i liked the most were the mushroom and the beef inari. A lot of the plates were the $4.25 plates and had small portions (one piece on some of them). They did have some interesting desserts which included green tea cheese cake and mango cheesecake.
You can't order with a digital system here like you can Kura, but the wait staff are good about coming by often to see if you need anything.
The ramen was very good, but the meat and eggs were still cold even though they sat in the broth. I felt like the broth wasn't hot enough to warm them up. The broth tasted amazing though and the noodles were good.
There is a matcha place next door with really good deserts and matcha drinks. I recommend going there as well and getting the ube and/or matcha ice cream.

The newly reopened Wild Goji is so impressive. The decor is beautiful and the conveyor belt and trains are so much fun to watch. It really is a unique and fun experience. The food was not bad...it was way too easy to rack up the plates 😁
Only issue I had was the amount of plates available. Depending on where you sat you'd have the last pickings, especially if a big family sits ahead of you, you probably will have to wait for a little while.

You would think SA would finally get it together with the asian food, nope. Besides the ac leaking on me, it was probably the worst sushi I've ever had. The sushi rice sucked, I've never seen over steamed rice that's off white. Sticky rice is not sushi rice. Their Nigiri had the thinnest cut of fish I've ever seen. I asked for spicy chopped scallop, I couldn't eat it. On a lighter note the ikura was generous and very good.
The hostesses and some waitresses stand and act like they're fully booked when they're not, wow why pay wages for no work? As a well traveled asian, this is bad, but my waitress was nice.

Such a fun lunch outing :) You can either order from the menu as I did order a ramen and then pick here and there from the belt. Or you can dine solely from the belt. There is everything from appetizers, sushi rolls, to cheesecake. Every ten plates earns you a gold token, which you or the kiddos, could use on the way out to redeem a cute prize. Absolutely recommend you come check this place out if you love ramen and sushi as much as we do

This was a fun dining experience. It felt future forward with the food coming around on a conveyor belt. The train that stops at your table with hot food was fun as well. The only thing that was missing to make this a 5-star dining experience was chiles toreados (grilled jalapeños in soy sauce). Both raw and cooked sushi were delicious.

So we went here for lunch, and for a revolving sushi place, and it can get a little pricey but it is good quality and fresh. In addition to the revolving sushi, there are little trains that deliver the special order items. The server will take care of the drinks and the check. Definitely recommended over Kura as that's a chain and not as good.

This place is amazing! From food to service 10/10 ❤️❤️
EDIT: !!!!
Wild Goji used to be our go to asian spot that always always had amazing service and delicious food. We were anxiously waiting for it to reopen and once we visited the new relaunch Im so so sad that we will NOT be back. Took about 15-20 mins to get greeted when there were a group of servers just hanging out along the back wall, bento boxes came out before gyoza appetizer and margarita, I got the salmon bento box and most of salmon was brown meat and (kind of) warm, my veggies were cold. The miso soup was overly salty. We both ended up with upset stomachs that night and the following day. The revolving sushi that was on the belt was constantly the same for the time we were there (about an hour and a half) so we were skeptical about trying anything on the belt. This is definitely not the old wild goji in all the worst ways and we couldnt be more disappointed about it. We will miss the old Wild Goji food and service :(

Sushi was okay, just like any other revolving sushi place. Ramen noddles were good, but the meat was not tender. We ordered multiple items from the slow server and they never came on the train (main reason we came) 🚆 20 minutes trying to check out as well. (Automate ordering and check out like other revolving sushi places in san antonio)
Over all come here for the atmosphere go somewhere else for food and service

I came here before they added the revolving sushi bar. It was my favorite ramen place. I was very surprised when I walked in because I thought I went into the wrong place! I'm very happy for the owners but this place has really lost its heart and soul. They lost a lot of the original menu (including my favorite dish) The food is flavorless when it used to be amazing. Service was great as always but it felt like the servers couldn't stop and connect like they once did. I'm excited for the company's new adventure but unfortunately I don't think I'll be coming back as much.

Let me tell you, I thought the rating for this place was inflated but they deserve every 5 star rating they got. Place is clean, people are nice and food was worth the wait.
We got there at peak dinner hour and we spent some time waiting at the bar (seats 4, so space is limited). Despite how packed it was, service was nice and checked on us frequently while we drank and waited. Drinks were great and you get texted as soon as your table is ready. Food was rated a 5 specifically for the ramen. I got the tonkatsu and my husband got the spicy red miso. I kid you not, I demolished my bowl. The red miso ramen is definitely a go to when you like the taste of spice and want a kick. Sushi was filling and fresh, just wished they seasoned the rice just a lil bit more. between the sushi and the ramen, you easily get your money’s worth.

Food was extremely mediocre (even with the obvious expectation set that this is quantity over quality). Rice was undercooked, wasabi was extremely weak, every garnish was cilantro, etc.
Service was fantastic and definitely was the saving grace, if that wasn't up to par idk if we would've stayed.
Atmosphere was good until you started looking a little closer at everything. sushi plates covered by plastic lids that are disposable, bullet trains that deliver hot food with 0 covering that are slowly driven across the entire restaurant, walls that are shoddily wrapped in wood decals that aren't applied correctly, light fixtures with dents that are slowly popping out of the ceiling.
And unfortunately the worst aspect was the value. Instead of having everything be a single price, you have price differences of every color that range from 3 to 4.25. this would be fine if every plate was consistent in quality and came with at least 2 pieces of the item however this isn't the case. we ended up ordering most of the old dishes the normal way as if we didn't, we would've left pretty upset.
I very much did not want to compare this to Kura as I believe we need more competition (and they also have their own share of problems), but when you're only 10 min away from the competition and have worse food, value and atmosphere it's hard not to start wondering if you made the right choice. I know this is a soft opening so I'm praying that these issues are fixed as I would love for Kura not to be the only option when it comes to this type of service.

Newly remodeled in a modern motif, now a "conveyor belt" delivery path glides tempting fresh sushi treats right past your table, each covered with a clear top. Labels show you what each is, and you pull what you want onto your table. Hot food orders are delivered by a model bullet train that rides above this, and stops right at your table for you. The food is great, and wait staff still scurries around to tend to your needs.
Visited 5 months ago
Fish was fresh and had great presentation, but the rice was bad. Everything I got had dried out rice. It was also a little spendy for what it was. Each plate was one piece of nigiri, around 3.5 to 4.25. Should be two for those prices at this kind of sushi place. And I would've liked to see more rolls revolving around over being 80% nigiri.

When you enter the restaurant you have to register on a tablet in order to be put on a waiting list to be seated. There was two hostess the evening that we went not sure if that's the norm but that is what there was when we went. It was a 45min wait that day. So we went to dollar tree came back still had a 10min wait. I checked in with one of the hostess and told her I'd just be right outside the door. She said stand by my table is almost ready. Well 10min were up I came in to check in another couple came in through the door and the other hostess gave them our table. I knew cuz I scan the whole restaurant and that was the only table for two. I was so annoyed 😠 to say the least. That set the whole mood for me. Like how are you not paying attention to your job!?😒 The other hostess asked her privately (but little do they know I can read lips...) did you just sit down a couple at said table. She said yes it was open. She was like you just gave their table away. She was like oh, oh well. Like she could care less. He mitigation was to sit us in the back of the restaurant next to another couple. We had already waited so long. My husband was hungry so he didn't care. But I did! I thought did want to appease him, so I agreed. Because we basically were trash clients at the back of the conveying belt we barely saw any sushi or got last pick. I tried to be happy and find some optimism in all this. Like I'm glad we had some seclusion but really just trying to make him and I feel better about the situation. $100 bill so not worth the first time experience I had at this restaurant.
Needless to say I don't think I'll be returning here.
Note: No military discount here!

We have been waiting for Wild Goji to be reopened ever since they closed to remodeling. Finally we found a day to revisit and couldn’t wait to order our favorite food- simple yummy fried rice .
The remodel makes the place look even better than before , and of course the service is always great.
Adding the sushi train is fantastic and the sushi was yummy- definitely is better than Kura .
However, the fried rice , the reason we loved this place , was a big disappointment. The fried rice is terrible ( tastes like typical American style fried rice -too much butter taste🤮)
It would be great they would keep their fried rice the way it was ( original authentic taste) because we won’t order that dish ever again .

This place is absolutely delicious! It is “slamon” (see pictures), and busy already even for a soft opening.
The sushi rolls are all excellent quality- some of the best I’ve had in years! And the portions are very reasonable. The prices do add up; but when you think about paying $18 these days for a normal 6-8 piece roll, you get 4-5 plates for that price of a variety of options. VERY worth it!
Also, you HAVE to try the Fuji Wonton - I was not expecting it, but it is AMAZING. Like a crab Rangoon but with apple and a sweet wasabi sauce.
Enjoy!

All great and all, but we got A/C dripped on us the whole time and then when we got the check the rolls were $1-$2 more than they were on the menu, so be careful and check your check before you pay, servers are great but they have definitely downgraded.

Been coming here for a while, the renovations are very modern! Plates are alittle pricey but def get that spicy edamame!!! Best you’ll ever have

Loved the sushi it was fresh
Very clean and has a rocket ship that delivers your special orders from the kitchen. The wait staff was friendly. Recommend putting yourself on the waitlist before coming in they are very busy.

Anna was such a great waitress, her attitude was friendly, checking on us and patient with our questions as it was my first time seeing so much variety and different types of rolls, food of this kind.
Jerry Tjin the chef was such a great with his team on making this delicious food.
The atmosphere, the cleanliness of the place and presentation of the food made it comfortable for me to take that extra step of trying new food.
Good job to the owner, management and the whole team to make this day and experience a A+. My kids enjoyed it and love the little bullet train through the restaurant.
We will definitely come back for sure.

Love the yelp check in✔️ Every godish loving theme parks should take a page. Love the foodie spaceship/train as well. On the topic of the foodie spaceship, if you can put ramen on there can you put water and cocktails 🍸 as well? Just a thought on automation. The ramen though, both quality and quantity beats your other competitor. 10/10 recommended 👌
Oh, and your cocktail bar 🍹 looks really nice! Looks like a prefect spot for omakase or all-you-can-eat(&drinks) options. Just another thought.
If I have to give out constructive feedback, please be generous on your Tamago. Double stack will be nice and triple will wow us, the customers.
Overall, the soft opening shows that I should stop by Wild Goji over the other competition, unless I want to have scallop nigiri 🍣

Amazing food, amazing experience!

This place is fairly new, so it’s clear they’re still ironing out some of the kinks. That being said, it’s already showing a lot of promise. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, and the service was friendly and attentive, which made for a pleasant experience overall.
One thing that could use some improvement, though, is the variety of options available. It would be great to see more dishes coming around on the belt to keep things exciting. We were really looking forward to trying some of our favorite items, like the scallops, but unfortunately, they weren’t available that day. Despite that small hiccup, we still enjoyed what we had, and I’m optimistic that as they settle in, they’ll expand the menu and smooth out the bumps. It’s definitely a place worth checking out, especially as they continue to find their footing.

The tonkatsu ramen and it was amazing! The quality of food here is better than most revolving sushi places I have tried.

Clean, decor adequately reflects the food and service provided.
The servers and host were kind and the instructions were adequately conveyed.
The crab wontons were hot, the wasabi honey on top was a nice touch but Moreso the apples provided the crunch and lightness desperately needed (and often forgotten) that heavy fried foods often need.
The gyoza had a delightful flavor and don't need a sauce, which is good, because they didn't come with one.
An automated ordering option would be nice as an availability if the server is otherwise occupied, however the friendliness and social addition to an otherwise automated service is a welcome sight.
The food itself looks pricy per plate especially if you see it is only one piece of nilgiri per plate, but if you're willing to look at the size and quality compared to other similar establishments, it is easy to see that the cost is suitable to the plate for most of the plates. Certain things are better priced than others.
For a soft opening, I found it to be a relatively smooth and painless process.
The food is upper middle quality for upper middle cost. If you're looking for better quality, order from the server directly from the kitchen.
Pros: the decor, cleanliness and friendliness of the environment and people
Cons: the yellowtail Nigiri I received from the server, just because it wasn't on the carousel, came on a black plate although it was on the menu as a potential carousel item which should have counted towards the "Buy 10 Get 1". The flavor was also slightly sour.
Recommendations: Allow for some type of automated ordering for your table. Change the label colors on the carousel per item to match the plate arriving so you can more accurately estimate the price from a distance.
Overall we decided that 7/10 feels acceptable for Wild Goji. "It's pleasant enough that I'll go back to it, but not the first choice when craving sushi."

This place has the best sushi service in town with great reasonable prices. The ramen is top notch and is always piping hot. Our servers Anna and Sumi are attentive and friendly. Highly recommend the new Wild Goji Revolving Sushi and Bar!

It was a little overpriced for what you get. Food was just ok. Service was great. Rolls on the menu need descriptions & definitely dont get the seaweed salad.

First time at a revolving sushi place and it was a good time! The staff had great hospitality, I'd just suggest if you're trying something for the first time to ask the waiter what it is first. Hahaha nothing bad on their part.

Great new experience! Like the renovation with the sushi belt. The spicy red miso ramen was delicious! Worth a try.

I went with a friend to try them after the conveyer belt sushi reboot and it was great! The prices are fair and the selection was good and the service was friendly and quick!

Terrible! Expensive for the quality we had. We were so upset at the pricing for less than average sushi and hands down worst ramen ever! The noodles looked and tasted like store bought and my friend said we’re too hard for him. The broth was blah too. I would t waste your money! Literally 100$ for barely any food and it wasn’t even good! The ramen made me want 🤢🤢🤮. It was just so bad. Sorry and I have tasted real good ramen because u lived in Japan so I know the difference. But the best ramen I have had in San Antonio so far is Ginza Ramen and Poke. Now that’s good and reasonable pricing with big portions!!

A great revolving sushi restaurant in San Antonio. Staff is more attentive than other ones I have been to and the food is good quality for the price. Will definitely be back.

My favorite place in SA.

This is my to-go spot for sushi. They have plenty of non-shrimp options which is good for me since I have struggled finding a place that has multiple rolls without shrimp due to my allergy. My boyfriend gets the ramen and he always finishes his bowl, and always ask to come here! My friends says the chicken dishes are yummy too!

Had both the ramen and sushi. Both were excellent. Red miso ramen was the bomb. And for a classic roll, the spicy salmon roll was exceptional. Best one I’ve had in SA. Def coming back here.

Wild Goji is great! They have a good selection of sushi, sashimi, and Asian dishes, and ramen. The Vegetarian Miso is the best! The best sushi rolls are the Iku Iku, Yummy Salmon and Eel Avocado Roll. The spicy garlic edamame is also delicious. They also have a full bar with delicious drink options. The service is always great. Everyone is friendly and welcoming. A weekly rotation for me and my husband.

Cool spot with great variety. The eel was delicious and the sake was tasty.

I like the service and the atmosphere, but im not sure I'll be coming here again. I tried the Tonkotsu Ramen, the Yellowtail Maki, and the Takoyaki. The Tonkotsu Ramen broth was good, but the toppings were really messy which isn't important to the taste, but is something you see at other restaurants. The Yellowtail was awesome it had a fresh taste and was wrapped tight. The Takoyaki tasted good but barely had any octopus. In my opinion it was a total rip off and is the main reason I'm hesitant on returning. Takoyaki is extremely cheap to make and yet for $7.20 we only got served 3.

I'd heard about this place from a few ppl recently and I was finally able to try it out, and my goodness was it great all around.
To start off with the food was delicious!! My thing is delicious fried rice and I believe then to have the 2nd best fried rice I've had (#1 is as Sumo, it's just a whole nother lvl in my opinion), but their rice was outstanding and I'd definitely consider it as another go to fried rice option for me!! I also got the shrimp & walnut and even that was amazing! They'd taken the tails off 🙏🙏 so I was able to pop the whole shrimp in my mouth if I wanted to and not have to leave out the crispies on the tail. Plus the sauce was perfect and plentiful, and the bed of balled melons underneath was a sweet snack for later because I don't like fruits with my food, but it I was able to enjoy them later on 🤷♀️. We'd also gotten Chef Zen's Chicken and it was also delicious, could have used a little bit more sauce on this one but it was evenly coated, I'd just have personally preferred a little more, nothing I couldn't have asked more for if I really wanted I'm sure.
The service was pretty consistent and helpful. We were seated right away and they were very welcoming and nice.
Atmosphere was good too, I appreciate things to look around at and the booths and tables were arranged very fluidly.
10/10 would recommend.

This place has some delicious grub! I had the tonkotsu ramen.. broth was excellent! The meat itself wasn’t exactly to my liking, but it was still tasty; my boyfriend liked it!
My boyfriend ordered the katsudon.. it was different than any other we’d had before! But different GOOD. Whatever broth they poured over the top was outstanding!
My only gripe is the price of the yakitori skewers.. they’re yummy, but pricey for the tiny amount of meat on them.
UPDATE MAY 2024:
We decided to eat here for a late lunch/early dinner again after realizing it has been years since we last went. This time, I had the seafood udon & sweet shrimp nigiri. Everything was even tastier than the first time we ate here! The broth in the udon was savory and satisfying. The sweet shrimp nigiri was perfect as well—fried heads and all.

This place never misses.
Only reason I give a 4 on atmosphere is because I don't like the music choices half the time. The wait staff and food is always on point though. The food comes in large portions, quality, aesthetically appealing. The wait staff is very friendly and on top of everything.

This place is so good. Every time I go the staff is nice, the restaurant is so clean and they have new seasonal items. The tonkotsu broth is so SO good and I love the takoyaki. The sushi is great too. Can't recommend this place enough
