We loved our experience at Sushi by Hidden! The food, atmosphere, and service were all excellent, and we loved how friendly the chefs were. The engawa was a standout favorite for us. Considering the price, I don't think it can be beat - we will definitely be back.

Love it. Great atmosphere and excellent food. The chef is really nice too. I don’t understand most of the bad reviews as they seem to be about “feeling rushed”. When you book the restaurant, it clearly says “a 30 minute experience”, why are you still surprised that you have thirty minutes to finish your meal??? Highly recommend this place!!

Tucked away behind the unassuming façade of an art gallery, the omakase experience at this hidden sushi gem is nothing short of excellent. As you step inside, the intimate ambiance instantly sets the tone for a culinary journey that celebrates the art of sushi. Each meticulously crafted piece showcases the chef's mastery, from the fresh, melt-in-your-mouth fish to the perfectly seasoned rice. The highlights included a delicate slice of toro that practically dissolved on the palate and an exquisite uni that tasted like the ocean itself.
This experience felt both exclusive and immersive. The attention to detail, from the presentation to the pairing of flavors, is commendable. The serene setting, away from the bustling streets, enhances the overall dining experience, allowing you to savor each bite fully.

I had such a blast here last night. Not only was the food, very unique, fresh, and delicious, but I loved the vibe and the atmosphere. I’ve had Omakase’s all around the world and I really enjoyed my time here. Sometimes does not just about the food but about the entire experience. Some favorites were at the beginning of the course I had scallop with a nutty tone to it. I also loved the piece with garlic. Finally, I also ordered some otoro à la cart and man that was tasty. Super highly recommended this place.

Express omakase, 12 delicious sushi, served within 30 min, for $60 (lunch). Dinner be $75. Can BYOB ($20 per bottle).
While not the place for conversation (table time is tightly managed), it is the best place to eat quality sushi, well prepared with attention to details.
Was surprised lunch kicked off with akame (even before hotake), and then quickly understand the composition the chef team has created, giving delicacy to the richer fish; and extraordinary flavors (unami, spicy kicks) to the lighter one.
Friendly service. We like every piece Richard served today
Visiting first time? Look for an art gallery entrance. The hostess will welcome you through a door that is hidden behind a painting.
Parking - valet is probably easier. Self park has limited spaces and require park mobile app to pay.

It is truly hidden. It was behind an art gallery. We went there for lunch, we were the only couple there today so it was nice talking to Michelle and Chef! Amazing express 12 omakase dish, each one has their distinctive taste, you get 12 pieces for $60, we were done within 20 minutes. We order more from the a la carte. I been to other omakase, this is far the best so far that we like each and every dish! Would definitely comeback with my eldest som who loves sushi as much as his parent!

The good: food was good. Workers were friendly.
Bad: super rushed. Sushi presented and by the time I ate another was pushed onto us. Tried to have a business lunch and was not relaxed
Got the extra a la cart wagyu. For $18 it wasn’t really typical flavor and melt in your mouth. Don’t get it
I wouldn’t go again.

As far as sushi/omakase goes...
Rice fell apart, ingredient choices that completely took over the flavor of the fish .
For the most part, the service was great
Atmosphere, music was a bit loud and couldn't hear what the nigiri was ,had to ask for a repeat.
But great vibes and friendly humans with tasty treats so ,I'll be back..

Tucked away in the heart of houston, “Sushi by hidden” offers an exceptional omakase experience that interlinks a first class dining experience with the warm nature of a family dinner. From the moment you step inside, you begin to realize that this place is unique in more ways than one.
The chef’s meticulous attention to detail is evident in every dish. Each course is a testament to the art of sushi-making, with the freshest ingredients sourced directly from Japan. The passion in each chefs voice as they explain the tiny nuances of each dish they present shows experience and mastery in their version of art.
Each dish has a depth of flavor that I didn’t know my taste buds could achieve. The chef’s personal touch is present in every bite, with a subtle nod to traditional techniques while incorporating innovative flavors.
During my visit, I was treated to a rare delicacy: the chefs take on their “patty melt”. Topped with uni, and packed full of several other flavor bombs, it danced over my palate like nothing i’ve ever had before. With each bite I took I felt this dish evolve. This dish alone was worth the visit, encapsulating the essence of omakase – the element of surprise and the joy of experiencing something new.
During my entire stay my glass was not empty once. The servers show passion and attention to detail while maintaining an approachable demeanor. A first class dining experience for a more than fair price.
In conclusion, Sushi by hidden is a sublime dining experience that combines tradition with a touch of modern flair. Whether you’re a sushi aficionado or experimenting your palate, this restaurant promises an unforgettable culinary journey. The price reflects the quality and artistry involved, while being perfectly affordable. Not including my tip, I paid a little over 135$, with the base meal being 65$. Highly recommended for those seeking an authentic and memorable sushi experience.
A final note.
Before my experience started, The hostess called to ask if I could join them earlier. The answer was obviously yes, as I was extremely excited to partake in this adventure. The staff made a big deal to thank me for allowing them to schedule me sooner, showing that they actually care about how your experience is. This is not a restaurant where you are a number. I felt like a person who mattered, and honestly that’s what I took away from my experience the most.
Great people, Amazing food, and a night I will remember until the day I die.

While the interaction time may be short (30 minutes for lunch and 45 minutes for dinner), we always have a good time. Shout out to Anthony! Dry age 13 course,

course permanently, should reserve. Dinner is $75 per person, Lunch is $60
Eaten with your hand, consume the whole piece if you can.
High quality pieces, fill about 70% for average person. Would recommend if you like wasabi. Good quality fish, toppings brings it to another whole level.
Scallop foie is the most scrumptious thing on their menu, the flavor is incredible and had a wonderful soft texture.

Decided to check out Sushi by Hidden with my mom and my daughter and couldn't have been more impressed. The chefs were VERY knowledgeable, accommodating and informative to all questions and comments. The sushi was excellent with some being better than others but that is subjective. I liked them all. Our server forgot to refill our waters but we were so enamored with the chef that we hardly noticed. Overall would definitely recommend if for the experience alone. My family had a great time. There was only about 8 people total including my family so the vibe was chill and everybody was pretty social. Perfect for a quick date night.
For a bottle of $30 saki, the 13 course sushi, and 3 orders of wagyu sushi a la carte. My tab was about $400. Just giving people an understanding of the price. But with out all the extras for 3 people you are looking at about $300 with tax.

Anthony was amazing, like he always is, however the person, who was supposed to be presenting the sushi was horrible and rude. I was at a lunch service for the first time and will never go back if thats the service i will be receiving. The guy serving didnt explain everything that he was serving, he just dropped it in our plate. He also was rude to another guy who was saying he only wanted the fish dishes. He was rude to me about my shelfish allergy. I really did not enjoy this experience at all. I've been here 8 times and have always loved my experience, this was the first time that I was contemplating not ever coming back. I even told the guy that his service style was not what I was used to. He was just like oh well. I come for the taste and the experience, they go hand in hand and had I brought my client here which I usually do, I would have been embarrassed by his behavior. I literally didn't even want to leave a tip the experience was that awful. I really live this restaurant and would HATE to see the quality of service decrease for hiring people like him. He even disappeared at the end of the experience which was actually a relief. Also the experience started about 15 minutes late. They guy who wanted fish only was sitting near me and I talked to him after. He said he didn't know if he would come back based off of that experience

Good omakase from the Hidden team. A very efficient process - we had 12 courses in 22 minutes for a mere $60 which is hard to beat. We were full but we didn’t leave unsatisfied at that price. Worth trying for a light meal or for your first omakase type experience but note that it isn’t a true omakase where there’s a series of hot and cold dishes to start

We were lucky enough to get the last service by Chef Jonathan. We had his Kobe fair well tour!
And he made our experience amazing! We had recently had their parent restaurant Hidden Omakase and we enjoyed it but was recommended to try this joint for a lower price point and shorter meal.
So for dinner they do 45 mins and they start on time so make sure you come a little early and take some pictures in the nft gallery out front. If you park it’s to the left of the Italian restaurant and has no signage.
Once seated they get started right on the dot. But even though it’s a short service Jonathan explained what we were getting in great detail. We got better interaction here with the crew than at Hidden Omakase. It’s a younger group and more fun and lively.
The Engawa was the best thing I have ever eaten at any sushi restaurant. This thing is life changing. And you’re able to get an extra piece as an a la carte add on. Do it!!! You will not regret it.
My wife and I were so impressed, we will definitely be back and at this price point we can come more often.
Best of luck on your next Journey chef Jonathan your skills will truly be missed here.

Snuck into this speakeasy sushi counter place on a Wednesday night so it wasn’t too full. We had a great, almost one on one time with the sushi chefs who were really nice!
The sushi was delicious! I especially loved the topping pairing with the fish here, it was very unique and quite bold in my opinion. As far as omakase goes it’s almost like an express as most people say but if you have time you can stay and get more sushi a la carte style at the end, which we did. We always try out the wagyu pieces whenever we hi and this one was quite good! They have the nigiri names on the wall on the right in order of the course so that was very helpful in remembering which pieces I especially loved. The fatty tuna and mackerel were our favorites.
Overall 4.5/5 in my opinion. Would love to return here on another night when it’s more full to see what that experience is like!

I think this concept is genius and the pricing is worth it if you can secure a reservation. I came here with my parents and we all enjoyed the meal. I had no idea where the entrance was and apparently missed the reminder text message saying to meet at the art gallery but I thought the hidden entrance made this much cooler. The nigiri is a bit on the smaller side but 12 pieces for $60 for sushi of this quality is definitely a great deal.
I liked that the menu of the 12 pieces was on the wall blackboard, and would have liked to know also the translation of some of the Japanese words on the board. The sushi chefs did announce the pieces when delivering them but it was going really fast and I missed it. I'd love to come back with my beau to try this again. I came here on a Sunday at 12:15pm for the 12:30 seating and found street parking along Kelvin Dr next street over. Street parking might not be that easy to find so I'd recommend coming a bit earlier.

Fabulous omakase experience. Fish was super fresh and creatively flavored. They made some accommodations to my husband’s shellfish allergy. Chefs were friendly and fun. Only downside was the hostess who seemed unhappy with life and shoved the check in between us while we were in the middle of eating our last course. I found her pushy and off putting as she lurked behind us waiting for us to pay the check. There weren’t even people waiting after us. Still, we will be back! Loved the food.

We loved the food and the entire experience. It felt really personal and unique, and the chef was very attentive to our preferences along the way. We got additional bites from a la carte and it was an amazing bow on the whole meal. We also left pretty full even though individual bites are mostly small.

I would called this express omakase. It's a neat concept consisting of 12 courses, served in 30 minutes. All for $60 per person. It's an intimate dinner with 10 guests for each time slot. Reservations were easy to book through Resy. They had plenty of time slots available the week we wanted to go.
There was 4 chefs in total working that night and they were quick. Putting out each course after one another. They also explained each course as it was put on our plate. Their routine was executed perfectly and we finished dinner a little under 30 minutes.
Every course was delish and beautifully plated. My favorites of the night were the kampachi and the scallop. The chefs and the staff were also very friendly. Overall, would definitely recommend to try at least once. Keep in mind that you may not have time to have a full conversation with your dinner companion.

For the price, this is the best Omakase you can do in Houston.
Food was amazing, very nice dry aged fishes, delicious flavors melting in your mouth.
Service was top notch. Food is as good as Hidden Omakase (same owner) or even better for a quarter of the price.
The entrance in the art galleria is also a big bonus, very nice speakeasy restaurant.
If you have something to celebrate or just want some yummy nigiri this is the place to go!

Not bad but felt rushed. Had the 12 courses in less than 20 minutes. We arrived a few minutes past our reservation (our fault) but 4/12 pieces were already out. Pieces after that came very fast and the whole thing was over within 20 minutes. Maybe not worth $85?! Given the reviews I was excited to try it, and my friend flew in from out of town to try the place out with me, but we were disappointed in the service

I thought the concept of the hidden place is interesting so I decided to give it a try, but I wasn’t very impress with the whole experience.
I was 15 minutes late of course it’s my fault due to accident on the road, when I get there I got about 15 minutes to eat $60 sushi meal. Regardless it’s a rush meal for that price even though it’s premium sushi pieces. It’s good, but not that good. Then at the end they hit the drum right on time to indicate you need the get out of there.
The only waitress was a no show during the entire time and when she pass me the bill, it stated the choice of tip is 20,22 or 25%. Need to say no more. But I customized my tip.
Overall definitely not feeling the $60 worth of experience, I left hungry and have to go to sweet Paris to get some crepe.

I first heard about Sushi By Hidden from Instagram several months ago and after hearing from several people how good it was I finally decided to check it out for myself!
The hidden speakeasy concept is always really fun, and I liked how it wasn't TOO hidden to where we legitimately had trouble finding the entrance. We were able to find a reservation time that worked for us and we thought the smaller intimate setting with only ten seats added to the experience.
The servers were very attentive, friendly, and made sure to explain every course in detail. There wasn't a single course I didn't like. This was my first time having sushi of this caliber as well as an omakase and it's safe to say my mind is blown.. Our favorite course was the engawa, it was so good we had to order an extra piece a la carte at the end. To top it all off, at a price point of $60 per person for lunch this experience is an absolute steal.
Sushi By Hidden is a shining example of an awesome, intimate experience with excellent, life-changing sushi at a ridiculously low price point. If you haven't already, please do yourself a favor and treat yourself to an omakase here. I will definitely be returning!

The sushi itself is quite good and unique. The flavors are more “fusion” than traditional. The experience feels a bit rushed and a little overpriced at 30 minutes for $60 plus tip and tax per person.

Sushi by Hidden is located in an unassuming place which appears to look like a gallery. However, upon opening the Mona Lisa painting frame, there is a dining area that seats about 12 people.
As of right now, they are still awaiting for their alcohol license and are not serving alcohol yet. However, they do offer lychee mocktails, which are delicous and have a generous amount of lychee pieces.
There were 12 pieces for the omakase, and they make it right in front of you. The chefs explain each nigiri piece as they hand them to you, and everything looked and tasted really fresh and clean. My favorite pieces were the suzuki, engawa, and akami. However, one of my nigiri had a fish scale in it. I also ordered the Patty Melt a la carte, which consisted of a handroll with wagyu and uni. The Patty Melt was okay and a tad bit chewier than I preferred. Because they have reservations in time slots, they really rush you at the end, and they said their thanks to insinuate the end of the meal right as I received and bit into my Patty Melt. Everyone that ordered a la carte were rushed to finish and chew their piece, as the chefs stand there awkwardly waiting for you to leave, which made it a damper on the mood a bit.
Overall, the omakase is a great price for what you get compared to other locations with fresh fish and unique toppings. Being inside an “art gallery” or “hidden” place also make it a fun experience. However, make sure to get there early and keep in mind that there will be a group after, and you will have to leave promptly.

Everything was exceptional.. I enjoyed the colorful curated art in the lobby/waiting area.. seating was quaint and intimate.. everyone was friendly, funny, and hospitable.. I felt right at home.. but I was totally blown away by the food.. I had zero expectations and merely wanted to experience what it was like to enjoy fast-paced dining but I left feeling extremely impressed and cannot wait to go back. Thank you everyone, especially chef Jimmy Kieu, for an awesome experience!

Amazing experience. The atmosphere, food, service, and presentation was definitely worth the price. We did not know it was BYOB. They did serve complimentary Lychee Sake that was unbelievably good. It's definitely a must do.

Food and chefs were great but be prepared for a fast pace. Also we added tip since it was a digital screen and we didn’t see it was already included until after they printed out the receipt. They never said anything about tip already being included and the screen didn’t seem to indicate that so felt a bit shady from that perspective.

Best value omakase sushi in Houston. Amazing sushi with lighting fast service. You’re in and out in about 30min even if you add on options. The quick turn keeps the price very reasonable. This is not a long drawn out “experience”. This isn’t for a first date or hanging out because you won’t have time to chat. This is for people who just love to eat. It’s nice and upscale without being too pretentious. You can appreciate the art without the chef grandstanding. The service and course progression is as effective and efficient as the Japanese train system. Or if you want a Texas analogy, it’s as if the people who did the Chick-fil-a drive through did omakase sushi. Finding street parking is tricky unless you valet. You’ll want to plan ahead and arrive early because they start on time.

Everything was amazing! I can truly see that courses is based off the chefs creations with very unique and interesting flavors. It was a fun and enjoyable experience. I also loved the music and ambiance of everything.

The food was amazing, but we left hungry and disappointed in the overall experience. Perhaps this is my fault for not doing enough research ahead of time, but we were excited for a nice night out and instead got rushed through a 30 minute “experience”. Know what you’re going into to avoid frustration.

Really great sushi! 5 star quality sushi for sure. 4 stars for the experience. By far the cheapest omakase which if you’re looking for quick sushi is perfect. We had a 9:30 seating and we had our bill paid at 10. Really just depends what you’re looking for. Great for a quick meal but not for an experience. Highly recommend, but just trying to manage expectations. The chefs are super nice and willing to explain each one, but we got the feeling the were rushed and stressed because of how quickly they needed to prep each plate.

This was an amazing experience. We didn't feel rushed only having 30 mins. I was honestly more worried I wouldn't get full, but I definitely did even if I didn't order 2 additional rolls a la carte (Waguy & Patty Melt). Best roll is Gindara and a fatty Tuna one!! . Chef Allen was so knowledgeable and had us laughing the whole time- which really made the experience that much better. A+ to all the chefs, Chef Kevin, Chef Allen & Chef Anthony great job! I will be back with more friends.
Can't wait for this restaurant to open for lunch!

This was my first omakase experience and I was absolutely blown away by it. The food was presented in the traditional Japanese omakase manner and each piece of sushi tasted wonderful. What makes this place even more special is how affordable it is. Definitely won't get you full but you'll explore a vast array of different flavors when you dine here. You gotta make a reservation before you go and they can only sit 10 people per session.

I liked it. I thought it was a steal at $60. They remind you to show up on time and they save your seat so if you're a couple minutes late, it's not the end of the world.

Great Omekase 12-piece set but TOO rush (1.5 mins/sushi). Ordered 4 additional A La Cart sushi ($15-20/piece) for additional $65 and very disappointed with Toro Truffle because of fishy smell and it was end tuft pieces of chopped Toro. Also, the seaweed is not roasted and tasted soggy for all sushi pieces that have seaweed on it.
I think if they add drink and extend time to one hour, they may get almost all 5-star review and be able to sustain their bussiness long term with good relationship with customers who would come back again and again. It felt like high end MacDonald Omekase with over $100/person for 30 mins.

The place is “hidden” as the name says. From the entrance you will love the NFT art collection hanging on their walls.
Suddenly a very welcoming guy appears from behind one of the NFT pictures and invite you in.
Once inside you feel you’re in another world. A delicious incense scent and a Zen vibe absorb you. The staff proceeded to welcome you and start explaining the whole experience. They got everything coverage and are always available to answer your questions. Their super fun and professional. I felt lime I was at Disney.
For a party of three we paid around $320 including the tip. The experience is 30 minutes. This is a super good price for the quality of the sushi and the experience.
Totally recommend for a magical date or experiencing real quality sushi at a great price.

The food is excellent, the experience much less. We started dinner at 6:30pm and had exactly 30 minutes to enjoy such delicious food. At the end of the meal the chef hit the gong and sent us home. Neither me or my friend had time to finish our mocktail that we were already being pushed to the door.
Consider that you're paying over $100 per person so you would expect to be able to enjoy the dinner and the atmosphere. We felt on the production line. Definitely won't be back and won't recommend to my friends. This place is a joke!

Ok, so this place is NOT a regular sushi bar. This is an experience. If you value quality over quantity, you will like it. Is it NOT cheap, we added several ala carte items, and the bill basically doubled. However, this place is awesome. Great atmosphere and chefs!

$60 for 12 pieces of nigiri averages to be only $5/piece, which is really reasonable, if not underpriced, for the fish that was served. My tasting had included akami, madai, hotate, kanpachi, masu, turbot, engawa, ikura, salmon, hamachi, otoro, and gindara. For those saying $5/piece is too expensive, please point me to a spot that offers the same variety and quality nigiri at this price point, because I would really like to know! East Side King in the Post stopped offering their $49 twelve piece omakase, and Aiko's happy hour omakase doesn't offer as much fish. Sushi by Hidden's 30 minutes is really quick, making this the perfect spot for a solo diner who wants to enjoy a nice meal alone, or for the couple that doesn't have much to say to each other. Save your conversations for after the meal and just enjoy the food while observing the chefs who are working hard to prep each piece in the allotted time.

Food was fresh and def with surprises, but it doesn’t justify the price we paid. Honestly too rush to finish everything in 30 minutes, fish was the cheaper fish, I was even shocked to see salmon on the menu (Japan doesn’t serve salmon), ala carte menu was pretty expensive, and nobody mentioned this - recommended tips is 20% and above. Like seriously, sitting at the bar and max 30 minutes serving….. Tipping is so out of control these days.

Really fun experience with great sushi! Very intimate Omakase setting. The chefs are engaging and describe each dish. We even got to experience some special selections off the menu! It’s BYOL with a $20 corking fee, which seems extreme and is why I removed a star, however the whole experience is only 30 minutes so you are better off just going for a cocktail afterwards.

This is my first time trying the fast-paced omakase experience. Our reservation was at 730pm and we arrived 30 mins earlier so the hostess (she’s a super sweet lady) invited us to sit and wait on their outdoor patio. She was very thoughtful and brought us two glasses of iced water.
The restaurant has done a great job on creating this hidden sushi counter behind a Mona Lisa painting.
Around 720pm, we started to see our previous batch of guests coming out, and a couple came to sit at a table next to us on the patio. The lady was comparing a lot about the 30-min time constraint, she was disappointed with the limited time they had and she just thought it’s not worth the price.
However, my experience was actually not bad. With the $60/person menu, you get to enjoy 12 course over the course of 30 mins. It was definitely not one of those high-end omakase experience that you would expect when you go to those $100 or $200+/person high-end sushi place. However, the fishes were fresh and I think you get pretty decent stuffs with the price you’re paying. The only thing I’d like to add though, is I hope they can remove some non-traditional elements (such as garlic sauce) on their sushi as they really downgrade the sushi and I would expect to get something more authentic in such a nice and hip restaurant.
With $60/person I think the sushis I got were pretty good. But I would not recommend to order their add-one especially the Patty Melt. It’s not worth the price and they’re not as good as the ones they show on their website. Mine was missing the gold flakes and caviar, although the scallops are fresh and sweet.
Overall, I think it’s a place that’s I’d go every once in a while when I’m craving for fresh seafood, but probably not an ideal place for date nights/celebrations as they really ask you to leave once you’re 30-min is up!
3.5 star for food
4 star for service and ambiance

Everything was great, I enjoyed every bites! Definitely it’s a fast paced experience. Compared to what I had was 2 hrs 20 course, and the chef was interacting with customers more. But I would still give 9.5/10. Only because I’m used to 2 hrs long omakase. Would come back again when I visit Houston again!

Delightful experience, we love Omakase and were not at ALL phased by the 30 min duration. Very intimate setting, AMAZING AMAZING pieces.

Great omakase experience for Houston. Just expect it to go pretty fast as all 12 courses come out within 20 minutes. My favorite of them all was the engawa - absolutely delicious! Its just melts in your mouth. The last 10 minutes were for a la carte. We all got the caviar bump which had a unique nutty taste to it. Overall a cool experience and decently priced at $60pp for the quality of sushi and variety you get.

I found this place on IG and decided to reserve a seat for one to see what it’s all about…best decision ever. The entrance is a cute little gallery and you can look around while you wait until your designated time to go in. Once inside, you’re seated and given a run down about everything. You’re introduced to the chefs and they start handing out the courses and explaining each piece you get. The sushi is so fresh and delicious, honestly the best omakase experience I’ve had in Houston. I also ordered the patty melt off their à la carte menu and it was to die for! (wagyu, scallops & uni). The staff is absolutely amazing and the atmosphere is extremely cozy and intimate. I definitely found a new favorite restaurant in Houston, can’t wait to go back. (Yes it is 30 mins but you truly have enough time to savor each piece without the long waiting periods in between like most omakase experiences)

Disappointed on this experience and the hype around this place… we were the last group so literally in and out in 17 minutes. We couldn’t even enjoy each bite… we felt so rushed and with an Omakase you should feel the experience with the food they prepped but it was all pre-prepped with barely any education on what you’re eating and pretty much being forced to scarf down each bite quick. For a $300 bill, I definitely don’t think it was worth it and sorry to say won’t be coming back.

I’m planning on coming back again. This 30 minute omakase is just amazing. I love how fresh the fish tastes and how the flavor just hangs in there after a bite. The A5 wagu in their A la cart is a must try, very good wagu with a bit of fried scallions on top, but I love everything on the menu :). The Engawa truffle just gives me definition of a melting fish, interesting!
I may have better Omakase somewhere but I still give this 5 stars because of its friendly service, fast and sufficient accomodating, absolutely delicious fresh nigiris and especially with only $60/person for 12 courses is a hand down for me.
Street parking or valet parking ($8) is up to your choice.
Like other comments, better be on time since they’re on rolling schedule.

They weren't exaggerating when they said this was a quick omakase experience. And it was quite the experience. Every bite was just as good or better than the previous bite. The otoro just melts in your mouth. The flavors they're able to build in each nigiri is commendable considering its just a bite. I would definitely come back here for more omakase experiences.

Not what I expected. If you want to try a quick n not too expensive Omakase experience then this one of the choices. The entire court is about 30 minutes for everything. If you want a real experience for Omakase . This is not a good choice.

Great food but I cannot justify this price for the experience. I have never been kicked out of a restaurant after 30 minutes. As an expensive appetizer place to start your night, it's a good spot, but as a dinner site, it is a scam and a money grab.

The location is nice and intimate. The staff were very friendly and attentive. It is a fast-paced experience, so I knew what to expect. I was 5 minutes late, and my plate already had 3 nigiri waiting for me. For the price, it's definitely worth checking out. ($60 per person) They do offer a la carte if you have room for more.

The portions will seem small and you may have to eat again as soon as you leave, but you'll be back. This was some of the best sushi I've ever had. The chef's skillfully prepare a well organized order of tasting. I highly recommend trying a couple things from the a la carte menu. They will have you in and out in 30 minutes!

I’ve been to timed omakases before and this is by far the best I’ve been to. The fish is high quality and the paired toppings on the nigiri pieces elevate and compliment the flavor of the fish so well. Every piece was different. It is a great deal! 12 delicious pieces for $60 in 30 minutes, BYOB with no cork fee if the bottle is less than 720ml and only $20 if the bottle is 720ml or larger. If you’re n Houston, this restaurant is a must! I’ll definitely be visiting again and again.

I absolutely love the food and the experience. Fast sushi was different, but I thoroughly enjoyed the quick experience. The chefs had drinks with me for my birthday. Because of the quick experience, I can’t remember which was my favorite, but I loved them all except the Wagyu surprisingly. It was too chewy for my taste. But everything was still very good.
It is actually hidden as a museum and has no signage. Very cute.

Amazing quality, very interesting little toppings for many of the nigiri, the chefs have to hustle to prep everything in a timely manner. There is nothing pre-made and sitting there. Great temps on the rice and the fish. Really nothing like it in Houston; I gather all the Tokyo subway sushi joints are like this!

Loved this experience. Although it was 30 minutes it’s worth it. Every piece of sushi was amazing. I even had moments were it was a true foodgasm. I was skeptical of it only being 12 pieces of sushi but was full after I was done. Service was great! We went for our anniversary and got seated in front of the head chef. The head chef was amazing and even gave us a complimentary sake as an anniversary present. A delightful experience that every one should have. We will be back again. Highly recommend it!

1/22/23 3pm
Amazing sushi. Period. The flavors they combine with every individual nigiri, even the order they serve it, is well thought out and complements the flavor of the fish without overpowering it. Each nigiri is served with slightly body temperature warm rice, which I felt made the mouth feel of each piece very satisfying to eat. This place is definitely an experience.
My only complaint is that the portion sizes in total for the omakase are a little small. I left maybe a quarter full by the end of it, but for $60 for really good sushi, I think it was worth it. Otherwise, it’s amazing to go for a quick bite, literally as each reservation takes up 30-45 minutes.

Can’t wait for 1-3 hr omakase? Check out sushi by hidden~ Hidden Omakase’s little sister concept hidden behind wall paintings! Make sure you get reservations as seats are very limited and it’s 30 minutes for 12 pieces & $60 (not a bad price right?)
As soon as your reservation starts, the nigiri pieces start hitting your plates and palettes. Don’t expect to have a very long conversation with your buddy because their concept is quick and enjoyable.
Me and my date really enjoyed the Hotate, Chutoro and Sake nigiri pieces~ overall, don’t expect to leave full as you’re there to enjoy the experience and ambiance of this concept.
Funny story: the person sitting next to us was 10 mins late to their reservation and their pieces were just sitting there waiting for them. Then they asked for wasabi and soy sauce (which at an omakase, you don’t have to ask for because each piece does have wasabi and enough seasoning to rule out soy sauce dipping sauce).
I’ll be back to get their a la carte menu as well!

Great experience enjoyed watching Chef Jimmy Kieu and his band of chef work their magic and prepare a delicious and wonderful experience for the patrons. It’s a rotating omakase menu with a few additional Al a carte if you so choose. Intimate environment.
You have to be there on time as they are punctual, seating and serving food begins very quickly, it’s a rapid 30 minute experience that keeps you wanting to come back for more. bar seating only. They do have some cocktails however, I recommend you bringing your own drink ( it’s bring your own liquor) they will chill and serve the liquor to you but keep in mind. Anything that’s above 720 ML‘s will have a capping fee of $20 but reasonable especially if you have a large group that is being served the alcohol. The Price of the meal is extremely reasonable particularly for the quality and experience. Definitely a must go and we will be returning. Great date option and or small group event if your able to secure the seats.

It was a unique experience and affordable since it normally costs 3x as much. For me, it felt rushed since the regular experience lasts over 2-2.5 hours so not sure if I'll do it again. I need more time to chew my food and enjoy the different texture and flavors being offered. It's hard to get the names of every piece of sushi offered when everything comes out so quickly. Everything was fresh. Servers were friendly.
