Hidden Omakase delivers an exceptional dining experience that is nothing short of perfection. I had the pleasure of enjoying their 15-course tuna-focused omakase, and every bite was a masterpiece.

Came here for a friend’s birthday, I had no idea what to expect and even if I did they would have been blown out of the water!
Service: The staff was absolutely outstanding! Friendly, helpful, informative. Explained every dish in great detail and helped direct us to enjoy each bite to perfection.
Atmosphere: the table setting is engineered so you watch as they perform surgery to make each dish. The music wasn’t too loud and helped set the vibe. The space is perfect for a birthday dinner party that felt private exclusive and intimate for a close group of friends.
Food: Each dish was prepared with your palette in mind. There wasn’t a dish I didn’t enjoy to the fullest! If anything i want 5 of every piece! The fish was fresh and the flavor wasn’t anything I’ve experienced before! It was fresh vibrant unique and varied in the spectrum of flavor! Even the dessert was delightful … blueberry compote with earl grey ice cream and brown butter granola! Didn’t expect to have a comfort food dessert to end our night but was the perfect end.
We will undoubtedly return! Highly recommend you give this place a try!

Good, But Not Exceptional
I recently dined at Hidden Omakase and my experience was a mix of highs and lows. The quality and freshness of the food were undeniable, yet it fell short of being truly impressive. In terms of value, I've enjoyed similar or better dining experiences at a lower price point.
The presentation of the dishes, while neat, didn't strike me as particularly artistic. This was a bit disappointing, as I had high expectations from such a reputed place.
One unique aspect was the restaurant's ambiance, starting with its 'hidden' element. Our reservation was at 9 PM, and upon arriving at 8:55 PM, I found the door locked, which was initially confusing. No response to phone calls added to the mystery. However, right at 9, the doors opened. This unconventional approach aligns with their name and concept, but it might not be to everyone's taste.
Overall, it was a one-time experience for me. While I appreciated some aspects, I don't feel compelled to return. I'm giving Hidden Omakase 4 stars, acknowledging their quality and unique style, but also noting that there's room for improvement in terms of value and wow factor.

We recently dined here - this is a remarkable restaurant that truly exceeded all expectations. From start to finish, the experience was absolutely exquisite and worth every penny. To be honest, it rivals the omakase experiences we’ve had in Tokyo. The vibe was great- intimate but inviting. I loved the music but it wasn’t too loud to be able to hold a conversation.
The menu was a creative masterpiece, featuring dishes that were not only innovative but also bursting with flavor. Each course rivaled the next, showcasing the talent of the culinary team and attention to detail. Chef Marcos love for creation & collaboration was on display. He and his team are passionate about what they do and it shows. The service was impeccable, with staff who were knowledgeable and attentive without being intrusive.
I especially loved that it’s BYOB (don’t forget to bring your fav sake, wine, or champagne!). We had their new fall menu. It was soooooo good. I’m looking forward to checking out the winter menu.
I love that Houston has such incredible dining options like this. This restaurant is a must-visit for anyone looking for a top-notch culinary experience.

This was a fantastic experience. New head chef is fun and innovative. Bringing around the fishes and explaining them, the cut, the rarity. It was a magical experience. Highly recommend. It is pricey but beyond worth it. If you are reading this just book the reservation.

Had the absolute best time here for my birthday. The chefs are the best and you can truly taste the heart they put into their menu. Have been to quite a few omakase in town and this is by far the best experience I’ve had. The vibes are there, the food is exciting while still respecting the craft, and you’ll leave thinking about the next time you can come in. I can’t wait to come back.

I accidentally booked a reservation here instead of Sushi by Hidden but regardless it's a funny story to tell. The menu was delicious and I left full and satisfied. A large array of fish on the menu. Very intimate environment. Loved the small details like the printed menu for that day and the hand towels with a lovely lemon grass scent. Each section has an assigned person that makes your meal. I cannot remember his name but he was very passionate about what he does and it made the meal all the better. Makes you appreciate the prep and thought that went into every bite of food. Lots of parking in the front of the restaurant so no street parking or having to stress about finding a near by garage to get there.

The food was ok, the fish was fresh, but at this price point the quality of food was very disappointed. I have been to many omakse in and around Houston, Hong Kong, Japan, This is the first omakase that I went to that don't have Kobe beef or uni included in any of the items. If I want to eat water melon (compress with cha seed) I go to heb and buy a big water melon, if i want to eat tomato, eggplant salad I pick from garden not in a omakase This one deviated the most from Japanese food fusion to the point I think this is mexican fusion seafood. Unfortunately I haven't been to omakse when the old head chef was here to compare whether the difference is due to change of head chef. The eel is the most underwhelming of all, pho glazed eel it has a taste of beef pho soup, but with extra fishiness and over cooked eel. In short will not visit ever again.

Fantastic experience. Favorite Omakase we’ve had in Houston.
-Look for the door to the right of the comic books.
-BYOB (there’s a Specs a few minutes away)
-They seat right at the time of your reservation. Don’t get there too early or too late.
-Take me with you!

I recently visited Hidden Omakase and had a pleasant experience overall. The ambiance was lovely and set the tone for a intimate and exclusive dining experience. However, I couldn't help but feel that the atmosphere would be even more elevated if they played calm Japanese music in the background. It would add an extra layer of elegance and authenticity to the experience.
The chefs were knowledgeable and skilled, but at times, they were a bit too talkative for an omakase experience. I understand that they were trying to be friendly and engaging, but it detracted from the serene and focused atmosphere that I expect from an omakase.
The sushi was good, but not exceptional. While it was fresh and well-prepared, it didn't quite meet my expectations of "mouth-melting" sushi. Perhaps it was just an off night, but I was hoping for a more memorable culinary experience.
Overall, Hidden Omakase has potential, and with a few tweaks, it could be a truly exceptional dining experience. I would recommend it to sushi lovers, but with the caveat that it's not yet a standout in the omakase scene.

This was a lot of fun! The experience from start to finish was delightful, imaginative and intimate. The food was on point and very elevated as expected at this price point. The service was fantastic, as the setup allows for the chef to have plenty of interaction with the guests and Chef Marcos was very engaging and enthusiastic about explaining the different techniques, fish and his own sushi history with us as we dined. My wife and I are no novices to sushi, omakase or tasting menus in general and this experience was both unique and memorable. I should note the restaurant is BYOB, they did share a sake shot welcome cheers for everyone and the passion fruit mocktail was excellent.

The food was great, came fast, and the workers were all happy to jump in and provide more info on the ingredients. My only gripe is that the music was super loud, so it felt I had to raise my voice just to converse with the person next to me. Great experience overall though, especially for a special event. Don't be scared by the unassuming exterior, you'll be let in at your time.
A few reviews also talk about how some people didn't like some of the items. That's fair (tastes are subjective), but keep in mind that this is the hallmark of omakase. You're leaving everything up to the chef. So if you're a picky eater, it's probably not the best place.

Visited a year ago
This is one of those reviews that I hate to write because of the asterisk*.
Is this one of the best meals I have ever had? Yes!
Was the service amazing? Yes!
Was the vibes superb? Yes!
Then why not a perfect 5 stars? The price*. We knew the price going in, as the only way to get a reservation is via Resy, where you do have to put down a credit card and if you don't show they do charge you the full $175 per person. So you are warned of the steep price tag up front. You are no where near suprised. My only thing that did get me is they do not have a liquor license due to a school being near by. It is BYOB. I must have skipped over that line so be warned and come prepared.
As far as the fish, everything was super fresh and unique. Did I leave full? Actually, yes, with all the rounds of food, I was quite full. I had always been told you walk away craving more food. I felt it was definitely enough.
Would I come back again? Probaby not, how about if someone else was paying for it, HELL YEAH!
If you never experienced Omakase, and you have something to celebrate, this is the place. If you just ballin', yeah come here. If you broke, there are other options I would suggest trying first. Even one of the sushi chefs, recommended Sushi By Hidden, which provides a quick Omakase, for about 1/3 of the price. We plan on going there soon to compare. Review to follow.

I always wish a business
the best and I leave this feedback with the best of intentions. Last night I was very excited to dine at Hidden Omakase to celebrate my birthday and I was very disappointed by the service and food quality. Both my girlfriend and myself had our rice fall apart in our sushi. This is totally unacceptable from a restaurant of this price point. Other Omakase restaurants would be horrified to see this happen and quickly replace the piece. I’ve been to a number of Omakase places and they take pride in every ingredient, especially the rice. This team did not do it. My rice and sushi fell apart 3 times. The service team would also ghost frequently and just disappear. By the middle of the meal I just started pouring my own drinks. Why charge a $25 corkage fee if I’m pouring myself? The atmosphere of the place is great and there is great potential but don’t pay $500 for omakase that is not prepared properly.

Very cool and memorable experience. We showed up to where google said it was but found a locked door. Figured out later that you can only enter at the time of the reservation and not 5-10mins before, which was not a big deal but a little unexpected.
Overall the food was very good and it was a lot of fun seeing the chefs in front of you preparing each dish. Was also nice to hear a little bit about each dish and try to eat the sushi the "correct" way. The best dishes were the ones that were more complex in my opinion, tended to be the ones with the * next to them and you were not allowed to reorder. Also recommend trying some of the a la carte food as well as that was some of our favorites.
My only real issue was how expensive it was. Ended up being around $500 for 2 people after a few extra a la carte items, tax and tip. For that kind of money I was hoping the food would be some of the best I've ever had but overall was just very good. Recommend coming to try it once as it is a really cool experience.

This was the WORST Omakase experience I have ever had. The presentation was sloppy and we started 30 minutes late to wait for all parties to arrive. They did not describe the dishes and all of the toppings overpowered the fish. I will never come back here and it was a huge waste of money.

Hidden Omakase was excellent, BUT I will be honest and say it's not my favorite omakase in Houston. The food was amazing. I enjoyed that they offered some bubbles when we came in and were able to BYOB. I loved the items on the a la carte menu more than some of the items on the main menu. The staff and chefs were really fun and engaging. I would recommend it as a top omakase in Houston to try.

We celebrated our 7th anniversary here and my wife is still raving about the experience. Expertly crafted sushi, engagement with the chefs, the attention to detail, and excellent ambiance makes for an exquisite dining experience. The menu varies based on what is fresh and in season so difficult to name anything. In addition to the omakase, we also had a few items from the ala cart menu; and enjoyed every bite. The waygu lobster handroll is a must try item - unique twist on surf and turf but the flavors are well balanced. Chef Marco is a sushi magician who is passionate about the craft and very entertaining. We will definitely be back and will try their sister restaurant as well.

Brandon our chef made it very enjoyable, food was good but pricey at $175 for 14 pieces of sushi, experience was great as chefs demonstrated and explained in detail about each piece of sushi, when they said BYOL they weren't exaggerating, you have to bring your own alcohol which confused us because they charge a corking fee, if we HAVE TO bring our own then why the corking fee? Overall I will recommend it.

I went to Sushi by Hidden a few months ago and had an unforgettable experience there. When I got my bonus and felt like a big spender I decided to splurge on the $175/person meal at Hidden. Everyone there is so nice! I saw they had last minute cancellations, so I sent a DM on instagram and asked for a seat. They responded quickly and I was in the restaurant ready to eat two hours later. I went alone, but there was no shortage of conversation and laughter.
The service is amazing. There were two people who came to check on me for water or just to see how I was enjoying myself. I didn’t bring any alcohol, so they served me free sake. Chef Marcos is very funny and personable, and you can tell he really enjoys what he does by how he explains what he’s making and his techniques. Chef Niki was also very attentive; she came by several times to ask how things tasted and give more details about the dish. I think she takes pride in seeing people enjoy her dishes, and everything she serves is perfect!
I was seated next to another guy who came alone and a couple who was there for a birthday. It was really fun to start conversation over the food, and some of us even did the “okay we all eat it at the same time on 3” for the items that were a little strange to us.
With tip and taxes, my total came out to $220. Would I justify spending that much on just myself anywhere else? No. Am I gonna be here the next time I get my bonus? Hell yeah.

Was seated late, had to wait to 20 outside after the start time. Left hungry. Was served a lot of beef when it was placed in the dietary restrictions. Nothing imaginative or special.
I don’t understand the reviews here. There are so many better sushi places in Houston. This on top as the biggest ripoff.

I gotta say my first omakase experience was in NYC and it was amazing so I set my expectations super high. Hidden Omakase was not outstanding as I had expected because it was more expensive compared to the one in NYC ($240 vs $175). However, it was still a very nice experience and I highly recommend everyone to try. The atmosphere was comfortable, employees were nice and friendly, checking to make sure me and my friends doing okay the whole time. I just wish they reduce the amount of soy sauce so I could taste the fish better.

The only down side to our night was it’s BYOL, but that’s my fault as I didn’t read thoroughly when reserving this place. They do offer sodas and this excellent mocktail that my wife had. Our favorite items of the night was the Muru Kai which was mussels served with potato chip and this amazing sauce. The Otoro and Chutoro were also excellent. They were personable, helpful and friendly. The food, on the other hand, was extremely disappointing. At one point, the sushi chef shared he didn’t really like sushi. My husband and I both looked at each other and was speechless. How can one not have a passion for sushi yet become one? His lack of knowledge and dedication to the craft was apparent in the food. What a beautiful experience this place was. First off, yes it's expensive, but you're paying for ambiance. This is a journey for your senses. Hidden is not an understatement. Very cool vibe, it was one of the best meals my wife and I have had in a long time, and the service was impeccable. Should've done more research to find out it is BYOB (we missed that point) but our servers were amazing and shared some of their bourbon with us. Could not recommend this place more!

Amazing Omasake in the Galleria area. Called Hidden because there’s no signs on the location. BYOB, do not sell alcohol though you may get surprised of sake shots throughout the experiences. 12-courses of freshly imported sushi cuts, wagyu, oysters along with dessert. Great ambiance and experience of service, place set up, cleaning, etc. some of the best sushi I’ve had in the Houston area

Everything was very good. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 was the price. It's very, very expensive (500 after tip for 2 people and we brought our own alcohol). Seriously though, everything was good. The chutoro was the stand-out dish. And the least good dish was the dessert. Very glad I went, but don't think I can justify a return visit, unfortunately.

Stretching the limits of omakase this hip and inventive restaurant is a great experience.
Chef Nikki and her team make highly inventive and well balanced bites of heaven. The setting, hip music and service allows you to come dressy or casual and bring your own wine or sake. A big plus.
All in all this dinner beat the current top sushi restaurants in houston candidly without breaking a sweat.
Cost for dinner is a bare minimum of $250 per person but if you add service and order a few extra bites and bring your wine it can add up to more.

Had an amazing dinner experience there last night. Chef Niki is a master at her craft. Every bite was delicious and tastes so complex. You can also taste some of her Thai / Laotian roots in some of her dishes which is so unique and refreshing for sushi. We’ll definitely be back for more!

Hidden Omakase
Shima Aji (striped jack) delicious complex flavor. Smoky taste that evolves throughout the bite.
Torigai- Korea, wagyu fat- just blissful. The wagyu fat mixed with the sweet sticky rice tucked under the fish was delicious.
Chutoro- Whooooo doggy that was good!! Pure creamy tenderly deliciousness, with a little tiny wasabi on top
Otoro/ Uni- where have you been all my life? The fattiest part of the blue fin tuna, so delicious it ain’t even funny.. like having a sea protein creme chantillí lol..
God, they’ve perfected the crumb. With flame torched A5 wagyu bits..
Modular’s Duck- sushi slice of warm, fatty duck, topped with a chunk of semi sweet foie gras, and a shaving of fried chicken skin…. BAAAAAAANGIINNN!
Hotoro ika- Japanese firefly squid
..in some squid ink pasta with a green peppercorn topping to make it slightly spicy. Very well balanced dish, the squid was deep fried in a spicy coating and had melted inside!
Repeat of sawara- Spanish King Mackerel
Anyone know a specialty purveyor that can get me all these high end fishies to eat at home??
There is so much intention put into this food.
You can’t decide on what’s the best piece because they’re all so good!

Nice dining experience. The food was exceptional as was the quality of the sushi. $$$$ if you go crazy on the a la cart menu like we did. We tried everything. Lol.

The food was good and ok but not the best I've had. I despised how they wiped off my plate with a sanitizing wipe between each new piece of nigiri. I've been to many omakase experiences in Houston (Kata, Uchi, MF, etc.) and never had this happened. All of those restaurants provided a new dish no matter how small or big for each piece of sushi. I don't want to be eating rice soaked with some cleaning or sanitizing agent. I expected way more than what my husband and I experienced. I won't be back due to this. I know this location wants to have a speakeasy vibe but struggling to find a location that's tight on time is irritating.

I don’t think I have the vocabulary to describe how amazing everything was! I can see this place being either a nice treat to your self, a nice date, family outing, or a great experience for your company dinner. I enjoyed every bit of it from start to end!

Such a cool spot. The staff somehow knew who I was before I got through the door. Slightly dim lighting and old school hip-hop playing as we entered.
The food is amazing. Some was even outside my normal comfort zone, but it's omakase so you just have to go for it. There was halibut, sea bass, three different cuts of yellow tail, A5 wagyu, and much more. The head chef asked us about nearly every course after it was done, which made the experience even more intimate.
BYOB, which is always nice. There was a loud group of ten the night we went, which was slightly annoying...but couldn't detract from the overall experience.
10/10 food, 10/10 atmosphere, 10/10 experience

This restaurant is about ambience. Staff is excellent. Very attentive and professional.
Thumbs up for executive Chef Nikki on her creativity. The combination of texture and taste is A+.
Sous chefs work hard and very pleasant but need more training. There is no reason we have 3 sizes of sushi for our party of 3. One of the sushi I got was cut wrong, I think, and impossible to bite through.
I would recommend this place for it's paced, curated non-traditional experience.

Including tax and tip, you’re looking at about $250 per person, which I don’t mind spending occasionally for something special. This was not even good. They tried mixing different expensive, good quality ingredients, but the flavors just didn’t work. The egg curdled in the soup. The tres leches ice cream was more icey than a sorbet and without flavor.
This place tries to offer a special, “exclusive” experience. The service was ok.
After having enjoyed omakese in three of Houston’s good sushi restaurants, this isn’t close to being in the same league. My wife and I were hugely disappointed.

Came here to celebrate Christmas early with my boyfriend. The food was phenomenal, and each course had different flavors to enjoy. In addition, they gave out three rounds of sake which we weren't expecting. Really enjoyed the embiance and atmosphere of this space as it felt very intimate.
The reason why I deducted a star was because we ordered some extra food from the A La Carte menu and didn't receive anything. Because of that, they served us the dessert early and we left after paying the bill. Luckily they didn't bill me for it. But I just wish I had the food from the A La Carte so that I could at least try other foods.

Cancelled last minute without an immediate rebooking, poor excuses give . For how much they charge if I were to cancel last minute as a customer they sure don't make much of an effort to compensate when they cancel 2 hours before dinner time. People got sitters for this dinner and planned ahead. This place is overpriced and unprofessional.

Listen. Believe the hype. Its real. Too real. The whole experience was amazing. The food, the service, the people, the stories. It was two of us, and we happened to meet another couple there from College Station. They were teachers and so kind to us. The whole vibe made the entire evening memorable.
The food..... What do I say. A well blended mix of land, sea, and air.
Pairings that flowed like words one after the other in a completed thought. The menu did not jump around wildly, each course spoke to one another and to us. And so did the chefs. Personable and passionate about all things sushi they were definitely part of the magic. We brought a wonderful bottle of wine and that was served to us throughout the evening.
And yes, they played 90's hip hop. I could go on and on. We will be back.

This is without a doubt the best restaurant/ food experience in Houston. The food, staff, decor and environment is for lack of a better word perfect. We had ear to ear grins the entire night, I cannot recommend Hidden Omakase enough.

Took my husband here for his birthday with very high expectations and I'm sad to say we were truly disappointed.
This was by no means worth the $400 price point.
We started about 30 minutes late. The food was good. Nothing terribly wrong, but nothing terribly right, which for a place that refers to itself as an omakase—where the experience should be intimate, personalized, attentive, and thoughtful—was very much a miss. The first half of the menu was marked by *very* small (I get it's a tasting, but this was another level) non-traditional sushi and plates with a lot of pickled fish, torching, and garlic. Good? Sure.
The best dishes were the wagyu and the duck which were delicious, but cold (I don't think intentionally, but I let it pass as they were also served sushi style). My uni pasta at the end however was not hot, not even warm, but quite literally COLD. Why am I paying to eat cold pasta? At that moment I felt really let down. It's truly disheartening to drop $400 on something that feels so far from the "exclusive" elevated experience you think you are receiving.
And why cold? The explanation is right in front of you. They prepare most of it in front of you in an open kitchen, bringing out the just-cooked beef or just-boiled pasta to plate up and serve to you. The problem is they prepare all 20 first before serving it and then explain the dish to you, which although appreciated, only adds more time in which the item is getting cold before your eyes. (It didn't help that the room itself was very cold too.)
After the dinner service, anyone who had ordered anything extra "a la carte" was served first while the rest of us waited 30+ minutes to get our dessert.
The dessert at the end was kakigori (shaved ice with a scoop of ice cream at the bottom), again, "good", but so incredibly underwhelming for this price point. As it was my husband's birthday, the chef came around to offer us a second dessert, I thought "wow this is so nice!" but it turns out they had two extra of the same shaved ice (a couple of people had left early) and wanted to give it to us. We politely declined.
All in all, we were quite disappointed. I have lived in NYC and LA, travelled all over, and had the privilege of trying many tasting menus, Michelin-rated restaurants, etc...all this to say that I don't mind and rather enjoy spending my hard-earned money to celebrate milestones, eat well, and have a good time. This unfortunately was not that. And for what people are paying, it should be a lot more. I hope they will continue learning and improving for their customers — I do think there is talent and potential there, but it didn't feel like it was quite there yet.

I can’t recommend Hidden Omakase enough. This is as much an experience as a meal. Reservations are difficult to get so read their site carefully.
For anyone seriously looking to dine here I’m going to assume that you are already familiar with Omakase. You will have a 15 course meal, the chefs give an introduction to each course. Your are also welcome to order a la cart items as well.

One of the best Omakase experiences that I have had to date. Chef Nikki is a visionary and brings a creative flair to the dining experience. I’ve have omakase experiences in NYC and this was definitely superior. The A5 waygu was my absolute favorite! They were also super accommodating to my egg allergy. The only slight criticism I have is that I could have definitely eaten another omakase serving. It would be great if they offered additional a la carte add ons for people who are still hungry

Delicious! The quality is on par with omakase dinners we have had in nyc and other places. Each dish was unique and offered a lovely flavor palette. We will make sure to come back and experience other dishes they have to offer because what we experienced was so good. The staff is wonderful and welcoming. They make sure you enjoy the food! Come hungry and enjoy the ride.

The best Omakase experience I ever had. From the first course(oyster shooter) to the various toro and A5 wagyu and of course the a la carte menu everything was amazing.
Chef Nicki knows how to pair the flavors so perfectly. I had my favorites but overall I enjoyed every piece I got. Every piece has multidimensional flavors that make you want to eat slower to enjoy it even more.
One of my favorite all time sushi pieces is Uni. I eat it whenever I go to any sushi restaurant. Chef Nicki gave us a brief history of the Hokkaido Uni from northern part of Japanese, aka the jewel of the sea. The taste of the Uni, which is only available from June-Sept, was hands down the best I’ve ever had. It was rich and had a texture that only makes anything it was coupled with better. By itself, pretty delish!!!
Overall, I felt the food/drink choices/a la carte menu definitely delivered and is worth the price. The music was just as good. If you grew up in the 80’s-90’s you’ll love the playlist.

Extremely over-priced. A few dishes are too salty to eat. The noodle tastes much worse than that in a much cheaper restaurant. I even did not finish the noodle, too salty. Not worth the money at all. Stuff is in shortage and just an superficial imitation of omakase. A lot of waiting for every one for people that ordered more.

This restaurant is about ambiance. A paced, curated non-traditional experience. Staff is busy. With over a dozen people you lose some of the personal interaction and customization that comes with a traditional omakase. The wagyu portions were delicious. In nigiri the rice does not quite receive the excellent treatment you expect from good sushi. Plating is basic but very pretty. The creativity came though in the non-sushi dishes. The BYOB option is great.

Definitely not a traditional omakase experience.
To begin with, the food is exceptional. Aged fish, authentic wagyu, and innovative flavor combinations.
However, a couple of things that are different, and in my eyes, not as good.
The sushi is definitely much smaller than your standard portion. It’s no where near the 80 gram mark for rice. Though this is understandable, given the amount of attention the chefs put into each dish.
The environment overall was very rowdy. The music was loud, and explicit at times. In my visit, there was a group of guests that were overly loud and obnoxious.
If you’re looking for a traditional omakase experience where you can focus on enjoying each individual dish in a quiet and serene environment, this isn’t it. However, what they do they do well.
Definitely worth the try.

Honestly the food was fantastic but the service tainted the overall experience. It was very clear that they viewed my party who was the youngest in the seating as less than and never really bothered to interact or make pleasantries. I would not recommend going here if you want a nice time and to be treated with high caliber service when Houston has so many other options. I never plan to go again and will let my network know to not bother trying this place.

Chef Nikki did a wonderful job in welcoming all of her guests. We had a wait time of 10 to 20 minutes even though we had a reservation. I love the intimate dining experience. I love the preparation in front of you, I love how clean and precise they are when explaining the entree.
I've had many omakase in Houston, this may be one of my favorites! I'm happy to hear that they change their menu quite frequently so guests can come and enjoy new items for the next experience.
From my memory, my top favorites were the oyster, both toros, wagyu, and the foie gras. There was a nice balance of flavors for each of these, and all of these were available to order a la carte.
The pasta entree, crudo, deep red fish fell a little short, but I like the different flavors they tried to play with when creating these.
Per person, it's about $150. Very exclusive, difficult to get reservations, but I understand why now. Thanks to chef Nikki, I'll be coming back again soon!
