We had been looking for a new favorite Sushi restaurant after our old favorite unfortunately went out of buisness unexpectedly about a year ago. After trying about 6 different restaurants in the area we happened into this place last Friday night and Wow! I am so glad we tried them. This place was nothing shot of phenomenal! From the awesome decore and atmosphere (who could not love a place that has a Air brush painting of Godzilla and Yoda on the wall and a light up of Mia Wallace from Pulp Fiction!) The Staff where all very happy, efficient and friendly. Our server Cheyenne was fantastic! Very attentive but without hovering. We would love her to be our server anytime or everytime. Our plates were never empty and our glasses never ran dry. The food was next level awesome! I highly suggest the Calamari Steaks and any of their Sushi rolls. We also saved just enough room for a sample of their cheesecake and it was very delicious and I admit I am a spoiled Cheesecake snob and this did not disappoint. Also for Drinks if you are a fan of Old Fashioned I most highly recommend the Whiskey Wabbit I'll give it a top 3 rating meaning I'd have to have it and the 2 next best side by side to accurately judge which was the absolute best. Cheers to another winning Business model and we can't wait till the next time we are out for Sushi we will definitely be coming back to try some more!

We recently dined at Sushi Marquee restaurant in the Frisco Star area, and I have to say, the experience was absolutely fantastic! From the moment we walked in, the ambiance was vibrant and inviting, but what truly made the night unforgettable was the outstanding service provided by our bartender and waitress, Pietra.

Pietra (she goes by P) was not only knowledgeable about the extensive drink menu but also crafted some of the best shots we have ever tasted. Her recommendations were spot on, and she took the time to customize our drinks to fit our preferences. She was passionate about mixology, and it really elevated our dining experience.

She was attentive, friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed without being intrusive. Her suggestions for sushi rolls were perfect, we had The Highlander, GoGo Yubari, Spicy Tuna roll and the shishito peppers.

It’s rare to find such a perfect blend of professionalism and warmth in service, and she nailed it!

Overall, the combination of delicious sushi, expertly crafted cocktails, and exceptional service made for a memorable evening. If you’re in the Frisco Star area, do yourself a favor and check this place out —you won’t be disappointed! I can’t wait to return!

The tuna tower is delicious and shareable. The wagyu spring rolls are so very good and they come with 4 pieces to share but I could eat them all. The Fuji sangria is refreshing and light and very fruity. The sushi here is fantastic too. It’s a great spot to get appetizers and drinks or to get your whole dinner. Great atmosphere and always good music. Clean restrooms and good service. I highly recommend.

Sushi Marquee is a nice place to have dinner at. Their food is really good, and their service is amazing. The atmosphere is nice. The service is the reason to go as my waiter specifically added a note with the desert because it was my birthday! Overall a really good place.

Used to be an ok spot to grab some affordable sushi rolls in a DJ atmosphere. I went there the other night and I had a horrible experience. The thinnest spider roll I ever had, probably half of the order not sure because when I tried to grab it fell apart and after I got some drunken noodles, the worst choice that I could have.
Very disappointing experience as far as food. Service was just alright and the atmosphere was the same. Get rid of the Cooks on the Sunday night shift ASAP because the next step is close it down. Also wondering about the mixed drink tax;);

It was mine and my wife's first time at Sushi Marquee. The sushi rolls my wife and I ordered were good. The taste is what we had expected, comparing it from the other sushi places we've eaten at. I felt like our table wasn't as clean as it should've been, especially during the pandemic, I'd like to feel as if I can safely place my arms on the table without worry. Our soy sauce dispenser wasn't clean. My wife and I were seated away from everyone, which was good, we didn't want to sit near anyone, but then another family was seated next to us. There was so many empty tables, but instead, got seated next to us. I noticed other dine-in groups were also seated pretty close to each other, instead of keeping everyone at a distance of at least 6ft apart. Waitresses were nice. We felt welcomed.

Ordered the pork belly bowl... the sauce was so thick and sweet. It was sweeter than dessert. It was frankly disgusting. I don't recommend the bowl I had. The sushi looked good.

Highly recommend this place. Perfect for any type of a date. DJ on Friday/Saturday nights plays really good all kinds of music. Food is outstanding, service is fast, overall it is a must to attend. There’s a red head at the bar to the right, she’s extremely rude, possibly racist, and has no manners at all! If you don’t have the decency to be courteous then don’t show up to work! Food was not good at all, get better chefs/ recipes. The only good things were the fans outside. Do better!

They have definitely done something different to the rice. The flavor has changed as well as the portion of protein added to it. Being priced as much as an actual Hibachi restaurant minus the experience is insane. Not to mention apparently they allow dogs inside near the bar area where people are hoping to enjoy a meal or beverage. What about guest who may be allergic to dogs? Or a dog shedding and potentially having fur in your food or drink? This was definitely a “GOTTA GO TO” for me and any other guest that come in town. Not anymore

Not sure what was worst; service or the long wait for terrible food. No one checked on us even though when the place was empty. I am literally paying over $200 to get food and I am putting it a box for two dogs. My dogs are getting fed $100+ worth of meat because my wife and I cannot eat it.

I couldn’t even eat more than 1 bite of my dinner, it’s was so bad. The fried rice was flavorless and sticky. The steak (which I ordered medium rare) came grey and dry with no flavor. The drinks were very syrupy. The sushi was fine, not bad, not great. For the price, I’d expect a lot more. I get better hibachi in Sherman, TX than The Star apparently.

I try to go into restaurants without high expectations, but I do expect a sushi restaurant to have flavor in the food. I got the hibachi chicken and fried rice, and it was absolutely the worst hibachi I have ever had. (My husband got the steak and said the exact same thing) The chicken was dry and had 0 flavor. The rice was sticky and also had no flavor at all. Even adding extra sauce didn’t help it. So bad. And for a restaurant at The Star and the prices, service fees, etc. I expect a lot more. I honestly would never go back.

The place is run down, dirty the waiter cussing at my table with younger kids present - trying to be cool - 🥴 almost all sushi on the menu only has spicy tuna and way overpriced. It was meh. Weird atmosphere and loud music. It all of a sudden turned into a sports bar with sushi and slinky hostess/waiter attire. Not going back. We had 3 appetizers 4 rolls and 5 beers -family of four. Paid $200.

Roll fell apart ...salmon was dry and overcooked and only had a few small pieces of asparagus missing the mushrooms and butter sauce...when I asked about it was brought raw mushrooms and some other cilantro sauce not meant for the salmon. Fried rice was good but the bottom layer was not fried but white rice.....blah blah blah! Used to love this place but don't have to return.

It was a weird mix for us. We tried to celebrate our newest graduate and we couldn't really talk to each other because the music was so incredibly loud. I would not say this place is child friendly as a lot of the music was inappropriate. They have the women dressing similar to how they dress in a Hooters or Twin Peaks. For us, that was strange for a place of this price point. The food is similar to food you can get at a smaller and quieter place for a quarter of the price..Just a really strange environment with overpriced food and drinks 🤷‍♀️

Food was ok. A few things that were bothersome.
1. Very confused about "happy hour". How does happy hour not include drink specials? And it's only select apps that were very slightly discounted. Very strange
2. Was there with a large party and the bill came back higher than expected which was due to "service fee". When I asked what it was I was told that it's different than gratuity. When I asked how it was different the waitress mentioned that she has to split the service fee and any extra tip would be hers.. makes no sense. Either the waitress was lying about happy hour and the service fee or the company tries to discreetly throw In gratuity as a "service fee" so people don't notice or think of it as gratuity. Either way. Not a good way to do business.

My kids took me here for my Mother’s Day dinner, I was excited. Sushi was amazing but the presentation and service was okay and lacking.
My kids and I are sushi lovers, it’s the Japanese blood in us, we just about go to most upscale Sushi Japanese restaurants and we look for amazing sushi that would just melt in our mouth and Marquee delivered, we also look for service and presentation and I was disappointed.
Miso soup was warm not hot, green tea wasn’t served with the tea pot with hot water as it is the normal in Sushi restaurant and instead the waiter gave us hot water in a pitcher LOL, we didn’t ask for the pitcher with hot water.
We had to wait too long for refill on water and second order for our hot sake. We asked for low sodium soy sauce which waiter said he will get it for us because it’s available BUT he never came back with it. Had to look for our waiter to get our check. It wasn’t busy at all inside the restaurant and we were by ourselves out in the covered patio.
I counted the table inside the restaurant and there were about 5 tables and I also noticed that some of your service providers were on their phone, I get it, maybe they’re bored but I think sitting outdoors and hardly being checked on didn’t sit well with me. Perhaps the waiter is new.
Not sure if I’ll ever come back and I will definitely tell my sushi lover friends to be aware for the service

So I really would given this place a bad review but Arturo the manager was so sweet & nice after my friend & I’s horrible experience. So the bartender (guy) forgot to put in our sushi roll order. Mind you we stopped here really quick for a drink & food.. & we waited & waited we already about finished with our drink & realized we didn’t get our sushi roll!! We were highkey maddd. Talked to the manager Arturo about the situation & he was so nice about it. So because of that great manager I’m ganna go ahead 5 start this place! Hopefully next time I go in, nothing like this happens but thanks again Arturo for giving such great customer service

Upon arrival the interior was pretty cool. We had a group of 20 people they had a good way of splitting the checks by assigning numbers to people. However, I rated everything with one star not cause of our waiter but because of other things.
On the last page of the menu in the sashimi section the prices were cut off, no prices on the cocktails, the restaurant didn’t have forks, my knife was sticky to the touch, music was so loud I could not hear myself think. Barely could hear the person next to me talk. I ordered Hibachi which was a mistake at an American sushi restaurant. However I wanted to give it a try. Usually hibachi isn’t good at America sushi restaurants but this. It was bad. No flavor in the fried rice (which came at an extra cost) the fried rice even had a section where it was still white rice. The only good thing that actually tasted like hibachi was my vegetables. Overall, the only good thing I got out of this restaurant was the company I had with my friends.

If I could give this place a half of a star I would! Anyone looking for great food and great service LOOK ELSEWHERE! The food and service were TERRIBLE! I give this place 6 month tops and they will be out of business! Cool concept but poor execution, extremely slow service (45 minutes for one glass of wine), forgotten orders (server flat out forgot to put in my friends order), over priced amd poor quality food (pretty sure the hibachi Waygu was boiled, no sear at all, looked like dog food and terribly seasoned).

The only reason I bumped this to two stars is because our waiter was attentive. However, that's the only positive aspect of our experience.

There is a big disconnect between the cost of the food and the quality and flavor. My ramen soup was plain bad the chicken katsu was breaded too much, the drunken noodles bowl...BAD. I didn't try the sushi One of my family members ordered so I can’t speak for that.

I don’t intend to hurt business for any establishment, but what can be worse than pain a high dollar amount for food that tastes worse than the instant Ramen noodle soups I have in my pantry.
You can also tell when a business is conscious about its upkeepIng. Just look at the menu books...totally falling apart and yucky looking.

I had a fantastic experience at Sushi Marquee on Friday, the 29th! Everything was excellent. I enjoyed the Wagyu hot rock paired with a Girard and one of their tequila-based specialty cocktails, "Enter the Dragon". Taylor provided exceptional service she was attentive and offered great recommendations. I'll definitely be returning to the bar. Thank you, Taylor, for such a wonderful experience!

Some entitled man was standing behind our table staring at us while eating and everyone at the table felt very uncomfortable. Is it any surprise that this seafood lover is also a lover of sushi?!

I’d say Sushi Marquee is a solid option for anyone who wants sushi in the Frisco or surrounding areas.

What makes this venue stand out is the 90s music and the DJ/hype man. They really know how to get the crowd going!? Shoutout to the sake bomb!💣

Last Sunday I went with one of my yoga buddies to catch up on life events but I’ve also celebrated my birthday here in the past.

If you really want to keep the party going after good sushi (rainbow roll and other classics) and fun drinks, I’d suggest hopping over to Concrete Cowboy right next door!

The food is just average but the service was definitely subpar. The hostess was wearing a tiny black lace thing and we could easily see her underwear and bra. The server couldn't even carry two bowls of soup to the table herself because her nails were so long and there were no full size napkins. They had cocktail napkins only and when I asked for some when our food arrived she seemed put out that I would want more than the one cocktail napkin I was given under my beverage. The bathroom was trashed and disgusting and only one stall had TP.
The sushi was not bad but the atmosphere and service definitely left a bad taste in my mouth. It was like going to a old tired strip club. I will not visit this place again and I recommend you don't either.

Just went and had my birthday lunch here yesterday! The fish was some of the freshest I’ve ever had, our hostess and waitress were wonderful and very helpful, and the atmosphere was very nice! Would definitely recommend if you’re in the mood for some fresh sushi. We ordered the Large Star for about $125, it said it could feed 2-3 people but it easily fed 4-5 people.

This place was my favorite for sushi until tonight. We waited 15 plus minutes for someone to come assist us with our food that too after we went up to them to say he we are waiting for our server to come & then we had to wait 30 + mins for our food to come out which I don’t mind waiting to be honest as long as food is good you know but our sushi came out and there was a hair stuck inside a sushi that I was about to take DISGUSTING! And then there was no compensation nothing about it. My whole mood went down from having a great sushi night to feeling like throwing up the whole time.

Aalona is one of the servers here and she has always been sensational. We had a few requests and she was completely on top of everything. Never had to wait for anything as service and food came fast and amazing as usual. One of the best restaurants in terms of service (but also in terms of sushi). Came because of the food but the service is definitely incredible here and keeps people coming back. Management does an incredible job here and staff is always friendly, smiling and happy to be there!

First of all. Way overpriced for some very mid tier sushi. This place was made to look nice so they can overcharge for sushi quality you would get at Kura. Except Kura has better service. Second, I was well over charged one of the times I went there. They charged me someone else tab. I can confidently say I will never be back here. It’s a waste of money and you cannot trust them.

First time dinning in and we had the pleasure of having Foster being our server!
He provided the upmost customer service, very polite, checked on us regularly and efficiently.
The food was absolutely amazing, highly recommend.

Definitely ask for Foster to be your server if you are dinning in.

Tried the Tonkotsu Ramen for this nice cold weather, and let me tell you that this dish did not disappoint.

Had some sushi as well since they were voted best sushi in DFW, and yes, Sushi did not disappoint.

We will be back again soon.
Definitely a must try for all you sushi lovers out there.

Went here with my cousin as this is her fav sushi spot. We were seated and no one came by for 15 min. I asked the bartender to send a server. We ordered our food and it took forever and they weren't even busy. Our appetizers were good but our volcano rolls came out cold and not seared. the waitress said they forgot about my roll but she could sear it for me. she came back with it 10 min later and it was slightly seared and lukewarm. I just had them take it back. My cousins roll came back out hot though so I don't know what was going on. And my water was empty for 20 min. like come on and you charge people top dollar for subpar food. 😐 My cousin said it's time to find a new sushi spot!

My party of three waited 45 minutes for 4 sushi rolls which were not the quality expected for the price. The waitress seemed a bit elderly and shook all our drinks, spilling them when bringing them to the table. I honestly thought she was going to drop the water pitcher when refilling our glasses. The worse part of the experience is that after receiving our $200+ bill, paid and we decided to leave a cash tip on the table but the waitress was concerned about the receipt which did not have a tip listed. Within secs of picking up the signed receipt, the waitress turned back around and loudly stated "you didn't leave a tip for me? Why didn't you leave a tip?". Before I could say or even point at the cash on the table, the other servers and customers had turned to see what was going on. One of the other people in my party had to almost yell " ma'am, your tip is on the table!". All of a sudden the waitress is saying thank you, have a good day and smiling. Terrible waitress!! I would have asked for the manager but I'd rather never come back again!

I eat at a bunch of restaurants and try to give places the benefit of the doubt but this place is mediocre at best, I had the Dragon Drunk noodles bowl or whatever it’s called, think of a low quality Genghis Grill and try to figure out how much lower you could get, a bowl of noodles with a few pieces of chicken and some sliced jalepenos, safe to say I won’t be back

Sushi places can be hit or miss in this area, but I was surprisingly impressed. Started out with the wagyu spring rolls and they just melted in your mouth! The sushi was great! We got a drunken noodles that were so yummy and didn’t skimp on the veggies and chicken. Then we also has a few rolls which were classics and served well. Lastly, we got a mochi delight at the end and it was some of the best mochi I’ve had! The sauces and cream really kicked it up!

I generally do not go to sushi places that have less than 4.5 stars. I broke my rule today and regret it. First off, I called three times trying to find out if they have a real crab available, or only imitation crab. Went to voicemail every time.

Good news? They have real crab available as an upgrade. Bad news? They were out of real crab. If they would have answered the phone, I would've known this.

But there were other things on the menu that sounded appealing, so we took the chance and made the drive.

It is annoying to be in a completely empty restaurant at lunchtime, and waiting five minutes just to ask for a 2nd glass of wine, especially after I told the server I drink my wine pretty fast and will be ready for another one very soon.

Then, you get your "lamb lollipops"… And they are horrifically overdone without 1 ounce of pink in them. No chef in America will choose to cook lamb well done as a default. I sent them back. Ask for the medium rare. 20 minutes later I didn't have them, and asked to remove them, and for the check.

Finally, my $40 sushi roll had the lobster equally and horrifically overdone, everything sucked donkey balls. Kitchen is HORRIBLE. And on top of it, the weakest pour of wine I have received at any restaurant since we moved to Texas a month ago. I am lucky if it was 5 ounces.

I will never go back to this place. Horrible. No way this place stays in business unless they somehow make up for horrible food and bad service, with nighttime DJs and liquor.

Do not go there for the food or service.

For a special occasion, we went in a party of 9 with high expectations. The food was definitely delicious and higher quality than the average. Can't say the same about the service, which was as good as you'd expect at any restaurant with the occasional delay in checking in on us for additional orders (desert for the kids) or refilling our drinks.
We went on a Sunday noon, so maybe that contributed to not experiencing the atmosphere which may be much more vibrant at nights.
Overall, an OK visit.

This place is very enjoyable. The food, service and presentation is great.
It's also so convenient to have a club right next door. This is my late night dinner spot before literally walking next door to "club"
The sushi is cold, fresh and presentation on point.
The cocktails are strong but a bit pricey.
Service and management is professional and prompt.
I'm definitely coming back!

Went there with my family for a lunch. The food was really great. And the hospitability of the server was outstanding. The french fries with wasabi sauce are the best appetizer I have ever tasted. To be clear, the spicy sushis are really spicy. Loved the food there. The interior design is very attractive. I would highly recommend this place.

After getting bad service somewhere else, it was really nice to come in and get greeted with a big smile on her face, that alone made me feel very welcomed. My waitress was great from start to finish. I asked for a Togo cup at the bar and 3 people tried to help me all at once, it was so sweet. Very happy! I will return

My fiance and I decided to eat a late dinner this past Saturday and we were so disappointed in this restaurant. We've been here before and we enjoyed our experience, but I don't know if we'd ever go back, now. We waited a little longer than normal for a host which was ridiculous because it wasn't even busy. Whatever, we moved on and she sat us outside and let us sit wherever we wanted which was awesome. FOUR waiters came outside, multiple times and not one person said ANYTHING to us. After about fifteen minutes of just sitting there and not even getting a single waiter, we decided to just leave. I informed the hostess as we were exiting that no multiple waiters came out and not one even bothered to look at us. She apologized, but we still left anyway.

I loved this place. I came here when they first opened, and have been loyal ever since. They have had several changes to personnel, and it has gone downhill. I have been sitting at the bar for over 20 min have asked the bartender for a menu twice. He gave me a glass of water, not a menu, and continued to talk to other patrons about his relationship problems. I got up and left.

1 for the service. Our waitress, Madison A, was inattentive, left dirty dishes until we asked her to take them from the table, and took for ever to bring our drinks. She seemed to be out of it or just wasn’t very personable. Then at the end of our meal, she brought our tickets and asked us to tip more on top of the gratuity that was already on the check.

I have been visiting sushi marquee for 2 years now and I have to say I’ve always loved the rolls and fried rice but my experience was different the other night. Unfortunately, was not satisfied with dinner - for the prices they charge you’d expect good flavor, pretty plating or something out of it..$30 hibachi dinner looked like someone made it at home and just threw on a plate. Not impressed.
Drink recommended by server had terrible flavor and was way too strong and when mentioned to server, my comment was ignored. Won’t come back.

This is definitely not a place you go to for the food. I was really expecting the sushi to be good or decent at least. Needless to say, this is by far the worst sushi I’ve ever had. So bad that it was inedible. It tasted fishy which is never a good sign. And it seems like they tried to maybe mask it by drenching it in a sour tasting Mayo sauce. I was genuinely surprised that it was as bad as it was. I’ve had better grocery store sushi.

I ordered a sushi roll and the yellow tail sashimi appetizer. Both amazing and filling! The tempura vegetables are also perfect.
Took 10 min to get 1 drink but meal overall was delicious. Would come back again!
I recommend parking on the 2nd floor for easy access.

I had the pleasure of bringing my wife here to celebrate her birthday, and the experience was truly exceptional. If it were possible, I would gladly give this establishment six stars for their outstanding service. Lilah, in particular, went above and beyond to make our evening memorable. Her engaging presence and remarkable knowledge of cocktails ensured that we were always well taken care of. She even crafted a one-of-a-kind drink called the Original Sin , which left us in awe. We received exceptional service at Sushi Marquee. The server/bartender Lilah was attentive and helpful with making recommendations. The Jungle roll and yellowtail heaven were outstanding. My husband loved the wasabi mayo as well. Lilah was very knowledgable of the menu/drinks and had a super friendly demeanor. She made me the best watermelon margarita!! Came to celebrate our friend’s birthday. Place is unkempt. Table we sat at is peeling and wobbly, menus are sticky, dishes are dirty, napkins are dusty and linty. Patio decorations look cheap, plants are dying and need to be watered.
We placed an order for 5 items on the menu to start (while waiting for the rest of the group) but the order was input incorrectly. Two plates came out and looked unappetizing. Fish was room temperature at best, might have been warmer. Gross! Salad plate with wilted lettuce and seemed like someone grabbed a handful from a bag then tossed it on the plate and sent it out to the table. They were not busy on a Monday night but service was slow and unorganized. Waitress was not friendly. We canceled the remainder items and went somewhere else for dinner. Very disappointed, will not be coming ack and wouldn’t recommended.

I’ve been here a handful of times and service was never an issue but my husband and I wanted to have an early dinner here. We came around 5ish before the dinner rush. Another couple was waiting at the host stand to be seated which we both had waited a while to even be seated. It was surprising because the restaurant didn’t seem very busy but we were understanding. When the hostess finally sat us, we decided to sit on the patio. We typically don’t sit outside unless other customers are out there to not be difficult but surprisingly the patio was popping. We finally got our table. No one greeted us or let us know they were busy. We tried to get wait staff’s attention and we were ignored. We made the decision to leave after 15 minutes of waiting and as we left, the hostess that sat us had the audacity to say “Thank you!” as we left! Terrible service and will never come back.

We just took our daughter here for her birthday. We have gone for the past couple years for different events and it’s been awesome!! This year the food was not good. It tasted like freezer food. We had the spicy edamame and it was terrible. We had several other entrees, hibachi, sushi and a steak. They were all poor or at best OK. Definitely not worth the price. Also the service was not good either. She was bothered by us and rarely checked on us. We were out of water the majority of our meal. We sat down knowing what we wanted to eat so we weren’t high maintenance with a bunch of questions. I will not be back. With all the cool tasty spots around the Star this place won’t last much longer unless they improve the food.

The tuna tower is delicious and shareable. The wagyu spring rolls are so very good and they come with 4 pieces to share but I could eat them all. The Fuji sangria is refreshing and light and very fruity. The sushi here is fantastic too. It’s a great spot to get appetizers and drinks or to get your whole dinner. Great atmosphere and always good music. Clean restrooms and good service. I highly recommend.
