I was excited to bring my wife here, because I had been here once before and thought everything was great, unfortunately this time around there was only one other family there and after ordering our food we received our appetizer and shortly after received my meal, and although i waited to start eating my meal my wife's meal never came, so my wife decided she didn't want to wait anymore because by that time I had almost finished my meal. We advised our waitress we wanted to cancel my wife's meal because I was already done and we didn't no why it was taking so long, and all she could say was oh well it's done now i can bring it. We said no. She said ok! No apologies or anything. WE WILL NOT BE GOING BACK!

I ordered the bento box with fried rice and my boyfriend order chicken fried rice. The rice was mush, the chicken so overcooked it tasted like it was two days old. Miso soup tasted like dirty water. It was inedible. My boyfriend had a few bites and could not eat anymore. I only ate the sushi (which was halfway decent) and they gyoza (also halfway decent). Spicy edamame was just tossed in Sriracha? I was VERY disappointed as this place seemed to have decent reviews. GO ELSEWHERE FOR LUNCH. TERRIBLE TERRIBLE TERRIBLE FOOD. We simply payed and left. I wish that I wouldn't have payed for the food actually, but I did.

This is the filtiest sushi place I have ever been. From the entrance door to the table, menu book, and bathroom.
I cannot recommend any sushi, with the premium AYCE, the appetizer and soup is not included. So I do not recommend this restaurant.

I hope the owner checks the togo containers.
We found some pieces of the plastics in the togo boxes last time. And this time, we found white dusts on the containers.

You guys have to take action with terrible containers.

I used to really love coming here when it was the true buffet.. the service is still good but this location has changed SO MUCH. I went there recently, and they still have their all you can eat, but there are more stipulations on their menu. Most all-you-can-eat places I've been to also don't mind if you get a box for your last plate, and for some reason I had to essentially argue to get a box?? Very odd

Currently here and been waiting 45 min on just our appetizer. The server bragged about getting gratuity because we brought 13 people but there is literally only 2 other tables in the restaurant. We can see our sushi ready and we’re paying 40$ for all you can eat, but trick is you may only order once because the service is so horrible

I am very disappointed with the experience we had at this restaurant. My husband and I dined in at this location. While the food itself was good, they totally upsold us on the version of the all you can eat option. We only wanted the $25 option for both of us, but when we went to clarify which types of sushi we could order for the $25 price with our waiter, he said "anywhere on the menu". Also, pay attention to the rules!!!! The waiter did not tell us about the rules up front. We weren't informed about the rules until we went to pay for the food. They charge you per drink-no free refills, and if you leave any food on your plate, they charge you an additional $10 per roll if you don't finish it. Dont plan to take leftovers home with you! You get 2 rolls at a time on 1 plate, so if you order another plate of sushi with 2 rolls on it and don't eat it, you pay an additional $20 on top of the buffet price of $25 or $34. They were so sneaky about this. It turns out that they have the rules in tiny print on a card that we didn't even look at when we went there. We only knew the base price of $25 and $34 dollars. This was such a low move on behalf of the staff. If you're going to have rules like this- you need to make sure we know this before we order. Also, you only have 90 minutes to eat. We were first-time customers, and we left feeling swindled. I like sushi, but I'll probably never go back to this place due to this experience. I'm so glad that I didn't take my kids here. This could have been a disaster.

Upon arriving at the restaurant we were seated it then took 20 minutes for someone to come to even take a drink and another 20 minutes to order.

It was apparent they were short staffed, however no one ever apologized for the wait. It took almost 3 hours to eat due to the “sushi station” being backed up, but that does not explain the lack of drink refills and overall service.

The final straw was the waitress telling us that she should be charging more for not eating enough of our sushi order that was so covered in sauce it was gross. We paid for all you can eat sushi that we barely got to eat due to the wait time.

To clarify based on comment we did eat our sushi but the last order was too covered in sauce as stated so it wasn’t good which we told the waitress at the time!

We will not be going back.

Not the best experience at this establishment. I have eaten at other all you can eat sushi and did not have the wait we experienced here. 20 minutes to order drinks, 20 minutes to order food, and let's not even talk about how long it took for our food to come out due to the sushi station being backed up. If you want to be here for 3 hours then this is the restaurant for you!

Visited 6 months ago

Sushi Experience №50

We should have left when it took 10 minutes to put in our drink order and another 20 minutes to order food.

The food was just 'meh', and the server was quite unfriendly. You'll be here 2.5-3 hours minimum, and it will be because "the sushi station is backed up." Not sure how that explains the extreme wait times to put in an order or get a drink refill. I would not return even if I had a free meal.

If you are looking for AYCE, go with Japan House.

THIS RESTAURANT IS TERRIBLE!!

I placed an order online through there online portal. Order was 38.97. I picked up my food and went home.

The next day I get an email showing an added tip. Now since it was an online order, no one served me or offered any drinks while I waited I did not tip. So for me to see an added tip was outrageous.

I called the restaurant politely and explained the situation. The referred me to their payment processor and it was an issue on their end. Ok. I get in contact with the processor. The processor after some back and forth explains it was a manually added tip by an employee at the restaurant hours after I left their establishment.

I took this information to the business , again politely. The manager had an outrageous attitude with me and proceeded to give me my change back in NICKLES!!! Not pennys , not dimes , not quarters!! NICKLES.

I took them, looked at her and left because I wasn't there to make a scene. After all I received my money back. Nickles still spend ‍ anyways I made a comment about this on their instagram. They proceeded to block me and delete my comments.

At first I wasn't going to post the review online but now I want everyone to know what happened. I also have all of the receipts so I would love for the owner to come respond and lie that they didn't. Anyways long story short. Don't eat here. The are thieves. I suspect they do this often but people don't notice. Welp tough for them because I did

I was kind enough to block out the little employees name who force added this tip. Your welcome

I came in on a Thursday with my girlfriend, wanting to enjoy a night and treat ourselves to sushi after a day of work and stress. When we walked in the building (around 8:10 PM), no one was there to greet us. A person behind the sushi counter told us we could sit anywhere, besides the back (which we didn't know at the time because our hearing is relatively blocked, we thought he was talking about the big tables because that's where he was pointing) we saw a table that was secluded in the back that still had menu's and chopsticks, so we stood next to the table. we hadn't sat down yet because i just wanted to make sure that this was an okay place to sit. Our server made his way to us and i asked "hey is this alright to sit?" which i was responded to a pretty passive aggressive response, "you know i told y'all to sit in the front area but this is fine." i could be reading into it too much but the fact that besides bringing us the food, he didn't check on us. I even offered to move when we got our drinks because it seemed like it bothered him, and frankly it bothered me because me and my beloved didn't feel welcomed anymore. With the offer to move, he just held his hand up and said "it's fine." his entire attitude just seemed annoyed of that one mistake. besides the service, i couldn't tell who even worked there or not besides the kitchen staff. our server wore a Naruto shirt and black jeans. What made me a little annoyed was we were the only ones not taken to a table, more people came in and they were led to a table. That one mistake that we made would've been avoided if he finished with what he was doing behind the counter and came to help us.

As a server myself, I understand frustrations, I understand customer mistakes, but one thing I don't do is make my customers feel unwelcomed, even if they come in 30 mins before closing or pick up an attitude to me.

Food was really good and i do recommend it, I believe i had the samurai roll, and my beloved had the California, both worth their price, but the crab Rangoons were pretty paper thin, and were very greasy. but that's my only complaint food wise, even then, they weren't bad.

Oh mercy!! Well, when we walked in the smell of fish was a warning!! I mentioned it, but one person wanted to eat here so we did (there were three of us).

The miso soup tasted off... But ok whatever. We each had an assortment of sushi which was presented nicely and didn't taste bad.

After leaving, within an hour all three of us had food poisoning and were vomiting and everything else that comes with food poisoning.

I can't in good conscience recommend this place. The reviews are good, but I can tell you we all suffered a couple days after eating here. So, that said... Go at your own risk and IF YOU SMELL FISH GO ELSEWHERE!! If it smells like fish it ain't a dish!!

I came in skeptical about the AYCE because of the previous 1 star reviews BUT I’m actually satisfied with the food. I loved the AYCE pre covid by the way. I’d go often.

They did change the rules and the layout a bit. It’s no longer buffet style. You can order 2 rolls at a time per person, and must finish the roll before ordering more. Traditional AYCE is $25 but the premium is $35. Strictly ONLY sushi rolls. They no longer offer warm food as part of the buffet like before (crab sticks, rice, gyoza, etc.) 😔

BUT they bring out whole rolls and the quality of the sushi is sooo much better than it would have been as a buffet. Tastier and thicker. And presentation is beautiful.

Waitress was also extremely nice. She didn’t mind answering my questions. I liked her.

So I would say it is worth it for the quality alone. If they could include the warm food (from the old buffet like before) in the Premium price I’d definitely say it’s worth it. Even now as is I think it’s worth it if you’re up for the change.

Oh, my. Not happy. Rolled in at 6:30 ready for the "all you can eat". Ha. Joke's on me. I litterally didn't even get my own roll. Kiddo got the over-cooked Katsu after 15 minutes or waiting. First two rolls my husband ordered came out at 7:00 and then he decided not to do the all you can eat because we only had an hour for dinner. But where was mine? The table behind me got it. I was shocked when the server brought me our ticket with only the Katsu on there and still no roll for me. Looks like she did a "complimentary" order for the mix-up. I appreciate that but I never got to eat my own dinner. My husband shared his with me and I only ate a few bites. It was delicious, but even if I wanted to try to order another I wouldn't have time. There are only two chefs there but only 4 tables. Everyone else was eating so we just had no idea what was taking so long. I just don't understand why she thought I wouldn't want my roll because someone else got it. So if someone else gets your food you're just SOL? lol I'm trying to be gracious here but that blew my mind. Sweet server, I know she felt bad about it, but for feedback we should have clear communication.
For example: "You're in a rush? Would you like me to cancel your order entirely or do you have enough time for me to get you a new roll made?"
So disappointed. Especially the roll I was able to taste was so good.

Hands down the best sushi value in DFW. Quality is outstanding for a buffet, and the variety of sushi and other cooked offerings as well as the chocolate fountain make this a no-brainer. Sure there are better dedicated sushi places to be found, but for about a tenner you'll be hard pressed to match the satisfaction you find here. Staff is always super friendly too

The miso soup tasted so watery, at first I didn’t even want to eat it, but I felt bad. The steak & rice, was just so oily. Sushi was okay, but not like how it usually is. Customer service is always amazing. Oh they did up the price, which I think is a good thing, but I feel like the portions became smaller?????? Anyways I’m thinking they might of changed the chef? Not too sure, but hopefully if I comeback it will be like my past visits.

If you have any kind of customized order, absolutely do not order it to go.

The food is good in person, but the Karen that likes to answer the phone is there to argue with you and deny you satisfaction if there was something wrong with you to go order.

Edit: also, allergy warning. They cannot keep from cross-contaminating onions onto every dish they serve. If you are allergic, don't bother to come.

Highly recommend! This is such an underrated restaurant. The food is delicious every time me and my family go. The people are always friendly and give great service. The place is clean and has a nice atmosphere.

The food was good, but the service was horrible, and not a big fan of being stared at while I eat. Places was highly disappointing, will not be back ever. Spent $70 for two adults an a kiddo and still got the worst service possible oh look a big party no one cares about the others anymore. Not worth your time even if the food is good.

The food was amazing. Everything was delicious. The edamame was fresh, the miso soup was made perfectly, and the karaage was phenomenonal. Everything was cooked with care.

The service was great and friendly. This is as authentic as you can get in Fort Worth. Nice clean tables and atmosphere. Not too expensive at all. Prices are excellent and almost the same as I would had found back in Japan some odd years ago. Please go here. Excellent Japanese food.

Amazing food and great staff. They are short handed because of covid but I tell you they work hard to make everyone happy. They always have a smile and are very polite. Great job!! First time there and I promise I will be back!

Awesome food. We ordered the shrimp tempura roll and the dragon roll. Prices are very reasonable for the amount of food you’re getting. Veggie egg rolls weren’t as stuffed as we thought they should be but still tasted great. We ordered pick up through Uber Eats and the estimated time was about 40 minutes which felt excessive but the hot food we ordered (egg rolls and rice) was hot. There was parking right up front and it was quick once we went in to grab the order.

I pretty much only order ramen at this location (go to Arlington for the sushi buffet). While the food is good I am disappointed in the service. I belive the server only visited maybe 2 times after I got my bowl and not once offered to fill my water. No big deal with that but, what is prompting this review is the lack of knowledge. I am a member of the five-star app and they were partners with ninja. I tried to use some of my accrued points to get a 5$ discount and was told by the server that she had no ideal and that there were under new management that it might work at another location. This seems sad and ridiculous to me since this could have been easily remedied by signage. It's also sad as this was the closest location for me to get ramen and seems as if I will have to patronize another restaurant for my ramen fix.

We arrived at 9:45 pm
Google said they were open until 10:30 pm
The door was unlocked and open
The open light was on the door said they were open until 10pm
The server said they were closed…but there were people in the dinning room ordering.
Poor management

We ordered food and waited over an hour, a whole family came in and ordered and got their food first before we did. All we got was an apology. No one wanted to take accountability on why my family sat there and waited for an hour for food. The chef watched us just sit there with no food, while he made food for another family. The waiter did a horrible job of checking in on us. Delivering food to the other family knowing full and well we were there before them. Not taking charge and checking on our order.

This place is good. Every bite is yummy. The staff is friendly as well.
I had the Chef Special - Black Dragon Roll - shrimp tempura, spicy tuna, avocado, eel, spicy mayo eel sauce, masago. (See pictured) 10/10

Food is subpar. I usually go someplace else, but that place was closed so I called here for a to go order and was turned away despite them being listed as open . What's the point of listing that you close at 10 if you stop accepting orders WELL before that. I worked in food service for years and if someone came in before close, I fed them. Period. Extremely frustrated and won't be ordering again.

Ordered from here using Favor. They have a fake ghost restaurant called "Ninja Ramen". Ordered $80 worth of food. They didn't have any of the items we ordered apparently and just sent random replacements. This place is definitely the Jack In The Box version of Japanese Food. The cheapest ingredients possible. Coleslaw under frozen shrimp tempura that tasted like a shoe. Sauces all tasted like miracle whip with a hint of random gross spices. This place is a 100% stay away for me. I called to get the issue fixed and they wouldn't answer questions about the wrong order and kept telling me to contact Favor. How is the place still in business? You'd be be better off buying frozen Japanese food from Walmart and making at home. Boo these people....boooooooooooooooo

The ikura sashimi plate was frozen (or old) but the chef apologized for the quality blaming it on lack of orders(was still charged full price though) Atmosphere was a bit sterile and extremely cold. Nigeria sushi was above average in quality and decently priced.

we got the cutie volcano and the ninja passion roll. the cutie volcano roll was roasted on top with a blowtorch, and it tasted so much like gas that we couldn’t taste literally anything else. i’m sure this location used to be extremely bustling on friday and saturday nights, but it’s since gone downhill and it’s very apparent the owner no longer cares about it.

The quality of sushi and price point are great! Full rolls primarily range from $5-$12. I love the range of food options aside from sushi and that the menu breaks out a section for cooked options for those who aren't a fan of raw fish.
The only slightly annoying part was the floor was pretty sticky, so you heard people's steps all evening (but miss Taylor Swift was playing, and I think that balances it all out lol).

The most absolute worst service I’ve ever had. I had to ask for my food 3 different times. The place had one other table beside us and I we were there before them.

I’ve since then tried to get a hold of the owner several times just to inform them of the service having been to the Arlington location for years and never had an issue. No response from Ms .Annie at all.

Not worth the trip!!!

Sushi was OK but not great, the salad was dry with no dressing, the chicken teriyaki bowl had maybe 2 tbsp of chicken and the bento box was the same. The floor and tables were sticky as well. Just overall an odd unpleasant experience as well as over priced.

I would've given 3 stars sjnce they don't have buffet but the sushi is actually pretty good. So when I came in, I noticed it was very empty and to my disappointment I also noticed they didn't have the All You Can Eat, maybe that's why it's empty? Did see a good amount of people coming in to pick up their food so maybe it's still worth it
I mainly came here because the Ninja sushi in Arlington is very bland and to see if this location was still good, mainly came for the buffet, maybe they'll bring it back but I don't think so
RIP
It's still pretty good and WAY better than the Arlington location

Would give negative stars if possible. This used to be our favorite place prior to COVIS. They did away with the sushi buffet and hot buffet. Food was very poor quality and extremely bland, I asked for Sriracha to add some kind of flavor and the waitress told me that it was going to be an additional charge($ .50), so I laughed and told her that i would take one. She brought it out in one of those little clear plastic containers with a lid, it was only half full. We are extremely disappointed and will not be coming back.
