I ate here while traveling for work and the sushi was fantastic. I got the Greenland and egg drop soup and it was delicious. Just be aware the sushi rolls are MASSIVE, so you may not be able to try everything you want.

Worst Chinese food I’ve ever had. First time here and don’t plan to come back. You’re better off going to your local Chinese spot because this is overprice and disappointing. Got the Peking shrimp with fried rice. The fried rice has no vegetables, and was in a small portion. Looks like white rice with brown sauce. The Peking shrimp basically shrimp and steamed vegetables in sauce, didn’t taste like a cooked meal. Server recommended this dish. Said it was like a stir fry with good portions. Can not agree.

The dumplings I got redeemed the meal but spending $25 on this was a terrible way to spend my birthday

The BEST sushi ever! The rolls are HUGE and absolutely delicious. We dined here with my daughter and her husband and everyone left full and happy. Service was great. Outstanding! We'll be back.

I have been here several times and the food was no surprise. However the server, who was new and not very good at his job, took it upon himself to add 5.00 to the tip I left him which was already slightly above 20%. I do not like how the restaurant handled the situation. I was reimbursed the 5.00 but was made to feel as if the co-owner was trying to blame me for not making a more clear 3. The check was totalled out and should have easily been able to see the intent. Be careful and verify your receipt against your account. I know I will moving forward. One final note to Asia Garden-it's not a good look to harbor individuals who in my opinion are so careless with your customers finances.

This is DEFINITELY NOT Mu Shu Pork nor did it adhere to menu description. Pork was chunky, over cooked and hard to find. More like left over from lunch pork and veggies. DISGUSTING. Server didn't even apologize that it was taking so long or that it was clearly horrible. Shame on you Asia Garden! - Revised review due to response- THERE WAS NO PLUM SAUCE PROVIDED. THE PORK IS NOT SHREDDED (per menu description)- WAS OVER COOKED- was definitely NOT delicious ( yes I did have it at a much better restaurant in the Atlanta area and no..it was nothing like the mess served tonight- was prepared at my table, had shredded pork- a lovely plum sauce, tightly wrapped and delicious- might wanna research it yourself) and THERE WAS NO OFFER TO MAKE ANYTHING ELSE.

So first off let me say that it’s a beautiful restaurant with a great atmosphere. Wonderful lighting and fish tanks to gaze at while you eat. The service was great. Our waiter was attentive and friendly. We ordered both a Chinese dish and sushi. And I was BLOWN AWAY at the presentation of the sushi. It was so pretty and above and beyond what I expected. The portion sizes for the Chinese food were huge! The gyoza was delicious. As beautiful as the presentation of the sushi was, I will say it was kind of lackluster in flavor. Maybe it was the specific rolls we ordered but I expected more flavor and the texture didn’t seem right to me. However it was still “good” just not the best sushi I ever had. The effort that was put into it was apparent too so I’m not that disappointed. The Chinese food tasted incredible however. Absolutely zero complaints with it. Over all, great experience just the sushi tasted mediocre to me.

Best Chinese/Asian food I've had in the area! (Lexington, Parsons, Camden included) My husband and I went on Mother's Day, hands down best Chinese we've had so far in TN. Beef teriyaki was I think Ribeye if I remember correctly -- different from the style you get up north (MA) but really good! Nice sit down restaurant, excellent food & service. I can't remember our waiters name (Don, maybe?), but very nice and great service.

One of our better restaurants, clean and great service, reasonably priced, we usually go during lunch, a nice variety to choose from. Average price is around $9, including rice and soup. Well worth it 😋

Absolute worst service I’ve ever experienced. It took a long time before the waiter came. He promptly brought our beverages, but then he disappeared. 45 minutes later he brought our food and it was stone cold. Then he disappeared again. We asked the hostess for help. She said she would get someone, but nobody came. 10 minutes later we spotted and flagged our waiter. We told him our food was cold. He smiled and said he would get the head waitress. Really? He can’t help unhappy customers? 15 minutes later the head waitress finally came. She took our plates, saying she would get us fresh dinners. 20 minutes later somebody from the kitchen brought our meals. It was barely luke warm and tasted mediocre. The chicken in my chicken teriyaki was as tough as leather.
If it’s any help, the plate presentations were beautiful.

We have been enjoying Asia Garden for years, every week! At least once per week. They try to please you. Get it just the way you like it. The sushi is absolutely always fresh. They stay very busy. You have to be patient during expected hours when everyone is wanting their delicious food. The portions are good. The presentation is excellent. They have so many different kinds of food besides sushi, too! Cooked salmon, soups, steak and chicken dishes, hibachi, a full bar…We dine out often, but the building is nice, just not as exceptional as their food and service. If you aren’t happy, they try to make it right. Won’t find a better sushi restaurant anywhere! maybe different, but not better!

Ordered food for delivery... teriyaki chicken and rice was the only thing that was eaten. They put yum yum sauce on the veggies which was never stated and I don't like yum yum sauce so veggies weren't eaten. The miso soup wasn't good, and the low mein was disgusting. What a waste of $60 for 2 meals.

We used to be big fans of Asia garden than two years ago it really started going down hill. Every few months we will try it hoping that things will get better, well they haven’t they have gotten worse . Tonight was our last time . I got combination lo mein my spouse got a beef and green pepper dish. They were both terrible ! They had no flavor , you couldn’t taste the meat you couldn’t even taste the green peppers . The combination lo mein had no flavor and it has three or four proteins in it . Both dishes actually tasted the same tasteless . It’s a shame they used to be the best now they are the worst .

We got a private room and were ready to eat after being out all day working. Me and my friends got our drinks and ordered our food from this server named Caitlyn. My friend tried to help her grab the last drink as it seemed she was going to fall or was shaking trying to give up the drinks. We were polite and respectful as you should be in a nice restaurant, especially with having waitressing experience. I understand you can be stressed and ready to go home after a long day but there’s no excuse for how me and my friends were treated. My friend trying to help her with the drinks was rudely scolded by the server telling her “Never do that to a server. You should never touch a servers tray. Don’t do that.” We ordered soup and received it cold. After five minutes of eating she comes back in and gives us our food, It was also cold. She came back soon after that to give us our checks and tell us they’re starting to mop and close down, to us it seemed they were trying to make us leave. As a waitress I would let my customers take their time as long as it’s in a timely manner and not just sitting doing nothing. We were still respectful seeing as maybe she was just ready to go home. We asked for to-go boxes and she came back in and was taking plates. She again told us they were closed and I told her we were actively going to leave. She gave me a snooty look and left. As we were leaving my friend heard her say “ugh they didn’t even leave me the change”. Me being a hot-head especially with the bad customer service I opened the door and said “every penny counts.” As a teenager who makes minimum wage I have a right to keep my own money and not tip especially with how we were treated. We left and will definitely not be returning.

Food was good. but our waitress was terrible and rude as hell. Her name was Caitlyn and she had pink hair. I asked if I could help with her with drinks because she looked like she was struggling and she got a bad attitude with me telling me not to ever grab a drink off of a servers tray, I proceeded to apologize to her and explain I was just trying to help her and she responded with a ugly face and and said rudely “it doesn’t help! don’t ever do that to a server”
Throughout our dinner she kept coming in and trying to rush us out telling us that they were about to be closed and they were mopping. She made it extremely obvious she was ready for us to leave which gave us a bad taste in our mouths. Then she came and told us that the servers only get paid 2$ an hour and due to the bad service we decided not to leave one. As we were walking out I hear her say “ ugh they didn't even leave change “ I turned around to see her giving us an ugly look across the room. Not to mention our soup was cold when we received it.
I will not be returning.

Waitress was rude!! Asia Garden has always been my favorite restaurant, I have never had a bad experience until tonight. The lady at the front desk was very nice and personable! Me and my friends requested the private room, we were sat immediately. Our server Caitlin brought us our drinks and one of my friends was trying to be helpful and grab the last drink off of the tray and Caitlin immediately says “OH DONT EVER DO THAT TO A SERVER! ” my friend then apologized and stated she was just trying to help, the server then continues “YOU ARENT HELPING WHEN YOU DO THAT DONT EVER DO THAT”. After like 5 minutes of eating the server brings us our checks and stated “just so you know we close at 9 and we are already getting ready to mop” the server then comes back to pick up our checks and says “just letting you know our servers only get paid 2 dollars an hour and it shows you the tip percentages”. Due to the rude service we decided not to leave a tip. On the way out the door we hear the server say “ugh they didn’t even leave me the change”. After tonight’s service we probably will not we returning to Asia Garden.

We ordered edamame, spring rolls, and three sushi rolls. The spring rolls were fine, definitely a frozen product. The edamame was likely microwaved; undercooked and served with ZERO seasoning. The rolls though - the rolls were INEDIBLE. So fishy, absolute MUSH, SMOTHERED inHellmans mayonnaise and raw panko. The eel was off. Haven’t been feeling well all day. We drove an hour from Memphis to eat here as we saw the symphony. Our server was MIA the entire service, so no opportunity for her to make it right. It was the WORST sushi experience I’ve ever had. It took us AT least 20 min to get the check and seeing full plates of food might have been a clue to the server to ask how everything was, but it seemed like she knew before our food even arrived as she was NOT happy to be there. Don’t bother unless you’re looking to experience licking the inside of a dirty aquarium on your date night. Bathroom was dirty as well, so I can only imagine what the kitchen is like. STAY AWAY!

I’ve been living here for a while now and I’ve been to numerous Chinese restaurants, but Asia Garden Is the best I’ve had in a long time hands-down and so whenever I order Chinese food, I always order from Asian Garden for the last few years, however I had a few friends over today and we decided to order Chinese, One of my friend said mention dragon express I said no no Asia garden has the best Chinese food ever everyone enjoyed their food. Everyone was happy except me. I get the same thing every time and it’s perfect but this time my combination lo mein was horrible. It had this burnt taste to it and I was so disappointed, Hopefully they have just new cook or something. Something was off tonight in the kitchen because I’ve never had nothing bad from here. Hopefully get it fixed by the time I come back.

As always the food was exemplary! I’ve been taking my kids there since before they could walk. Here we are after my youngest son’s HS graduation as this was his choice for dinner. My oldest son’s girlfriend showed the youngest how to use chopsticks…This photo is the moment when he realized that he got the hang of using the chopsticks. Among my favorite restaurants is Asia Garden. The ambience makes for a topic of conversation with available company. Great decoration scheme, which presents a feeling of the quality of dining which one is about to experience. The selection of dishes is so varied that the staff offers two menus (Chinese dining or Japanese). Anyone may opt for both menus and a drink menu from the bar. Yes, there is an excellent adult beverage bar available for patrons who may prefer dining solo or just want to enjoy a drink or two.
The food is fantastic! I have not been disappointed with the dishes, which include low calorie and vegetarian among the more traditional popular dishes of Asian cuisine. Bring an appetite since the portions will satisfy even an athletic teenager. Hibachi is available and can be great fun with friends or strangers. Table seating is available but may be limited in the busy hours, expect the possibility of sharing Hibachi style seating during such times or you may have to wait for private seating.
The prices are a bit higher than most Asian restaurants but are very reasonable considering the service, staff, quality of food and portions. Average price is about $25 plus gratuity per person. There are more expensive specialty dishes available which can increase the price (i.e. lobster and steaks) due to market values. The chefs prepare such dishes with great care and are well worth the increased price, in my opinion.
If I lived in Jackson, I would dine much more frequently at Asia Garden.

This place is kinda of a staple to Jackson area been around for a while.when it comes to good Japanese and Chinese this is the place!I’m told all sauces are homemade.wide selection of both Chinese and Japanese appetizers entrees.the hot and sour soup is the best you will find!always got a lunch special and it does get crowded but service is great!if you can’t find something on there menu and it’s a big menu then just pick from the special board.big parking lots of parking sushi bar plenty of seating.just need more craft beer.

The atmosphere is good, but they need staff to serve you quickly. You have to wait a lot when you arrive and the food takes a long time to come out. I find it unpleasant that you have not finished eating and they already bring you the bill and ask for a tip to give you supposedly good service. If you don't give it, they leave you last. In other words, it is a restaurant to get by. But they don't have enough waiters to serve you. It will take them a while to serve you.

I go on special occasions. I went for my birthday the first time, went for my one year anniversary, things like that. I love the food and I love the design. We usually sit in the small rooms in the back, which is sometimes a pain because sometimes we get forgotten and have to wait awhile. Other than that, love it there!

Usually have a good review for this restaurant but today the service ruined everything. We were seated immediately and then waited for almost 10 minutes for our waitress Caitlin to come to the table. She asked to take our drink order and we told her we needed to go ahead and order food too because we were in a hurry to get back to work. She said ok I will go ahead and get your food order in. Then a few minutes later she came and said the soup would be a few minutes because they were cooking it. That was understandable. But then after getting soup we just sat there waiting on food. We looked around to see if we could ask her what the hold up was and found her in the back corner talking to another employee. She saw us looking at her and she ran across the room straight to the kitchen. She immediately brought out the food which was already slightly cold. It was obvious it had been sitting in the kitchen and she just had not picked it up yet. We were only able to eat a small amount and take the rest in a to go box. We were not offered refills on the drinks until she finally brought the food. We had been sitting there for over 30 minutes waiting on it. And they were not that busy so that was not an excuse. In fact another table right beside us who ordered at the same time as us with a different waitress got their food before we did by several minutes. Will go back probably but hope the service will be better.

The Chinese food was pretty good, although it was frozen and reheated and still cold in parts, and the rice was unfortunately crunchy. But the sushi was a little better, and they had a lot to choose from. The service and the staff were amazing. The ambience was a little odd and interesting, with dim lighting, colorful glowing things, and fish tanks.

Update: The business responded to my review and tried to make it sound like their food isn’t frozen. Even though they have an ENORMOUS menu, and are located in landlocked Jackson TN.
Sure, Jan. Your food certainly isn’t all made fresh in-house. I’m guessing a lot of it arrives in a large collection of refrigerated baggies off a Sysco truck.

Update 2: I don’t appreciate being bullied by a restaurant. I originally gave a generous 4 stars but now it’s 3. Y’all ain’t Emeril, foh. You’re not a 5 star restaurant. Furthermore, I won’t be returning.

I haven't gotten my order yet. So this is just about delivery. About an hour and 20 minutes after ordering through their online app, I called to ask about the status of my order. They said the order had already been delivered. I opened my door and nothing was there. I went downstairs to see if perhaps they dropped it on the second floor. Nothing. I heard a guy in the background saying he delivered it but no one answered when he knocked. No one knocked on my door. Then I could hear him scream, "tell her to answer her door next time!" Clearly the guy went to the wrong apartment and then yelled at me about it. Ridiculous! So I guess they are remaking the order now. But no apology. Just yelling at me like it's my fault. Awful. & I was being nice about it. Because mistakes happen. But I do not appreciate the way this was handled. Do yourself a favor and don't pre-tip on the app. Wait until the food is delivered. I don't even want the food now. The whole experience just leaves a pit in my stomach. By the way, mu neighbor from 3 buildings down just brought me the food that they left on his step. So yeah.

The food was bleh at best. I ordered general tso’s chicken, extra spicy, and it was very bland. The chicken was cut into weird pieces and the breading on it was only on it in some places and not others. The fried rice was literally like tasting card board with soy sauce and didn’t have any peas/carrots. The restaurant was clean and I didn’t have to wait long. Not your staple Chinese food place at all.

Ate at Asia Garden for the first time on Saturday and it was simply an amazing experience! Our waitress Catlin was very well knowledge and gave us all the information needed to order. She has a personality that could light up any room and I couldn’t say enough great things! I ordered a little from the Chinese and Japanese menu, there was SO MUCH to choose from and everything was exquisite!

So first off let me say that it’s a beautiful restaurant with a great atmosphere. Wonderful lighting and fish tanks to gaze at while you eat. The service was great. Our waiter was attentive and friendly. We ordered both a Chinese dish and sushi. And I was BLOWN AWAY at the presentation of the sushi. It was so pretty and above and beyond what I expected. The portion sizes for the Chinese food were huge! The gyoza was delicious. As beautiful as the presentation of the sushi was, I will say it was kind of lackluster in flavor. Maybe it was the specific rolls we ordered but I expected more flavor and the texture didn’t seem right to me. However it was still “good” just not the best sushi I ever had. The effort that was put into it was apparent too so I’m not that disappointed. The Chinese food tasted incredible however. Absolutely zero complaints with it. Over all, great experience just the sushi tasted mediocre to me.

We went with family for a graduation party. We had a reservation, but had to wait because they gave the table away. The host was not very friendly and kinda rude. After seated, our server was great. She was right on top of things. The food was really good... BUT there wasn't much of it! I had the Mandarin Combination. There were 3 shrimp, 3 very small pieces of chicken, a couple small pieces of meat, 2 pieces of broccoli and a ton of random veggies... probably 3 to 1 veggies over meat! It also had water chestnuts, which were not supposed to be in there. My wife had sushi and seemed to enjoy it.
Our first time here, probably the last. We prefer other places in town that actually put some real food on the plate.

The #1 thing to know about this place is the sushi is HUGE. I was expecting the regular portion of 6-10 small pieces of sushi and got full meals in each roll. The Shrimp Killer roll was my favorite. It was all delicious.

Ok so fair tip, they give very generous serving sizes. I ordered 2 rolls and some tuna Taki (spelling is not my friend). I couldn't finish my first roll and had only one bite of the 2nd roll. Plenty of left overs.

But omg this place was amazing. Food was beyond delicious. My new favorite place for local sushi!

This place is so inconsistent. You can come one time and get something and have it be really tasty and then come again and the exact same item is just about inedible. Also, everything is expensive. For the amount of money it takes to eat there, one should not have to gamble on whether or not one's food will be any good.

First and Last time I'll order at this place. The service, great! I mean from the time I ordered it online to the time I recieved it was very fast! Not to mention the food was hot still!! I ordered sweet and sour chicken w/ fried rice and an egg roll. The egg roll was good but the SS chicken and fried rice was bland. No flavor what so ever. No seasonings nothing. The batter on the chicken was overcooked and some pieces I couldn't even bite into and the couple of pieces of vegetables, were hard and not cooked! When I say couple of pieces of vegetables, I mean that literally. 1 piece of green pepper, 2 pieces of onion and 2 pieces of carrot. It was gross! I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS ASIAN GARDEN RESTURANT!!!!!

Great place to get a great dine in bite of Chinese and Japanese food in Jackson! The only complaint I have about Asia Gardens developed recently. The old ladies that greet and seat customers have been some evenings have been 'curt' with my parties several times, hardly speaking to us and rarely ever greeting us beyond "Chinese or Japanese?" before shuffling us on. It can put a damper on an otherwise great evening to hit that coming

Worst experience I've ever had at any restraunt in the world ..treat me so badly I'm still upset from weeks ago ..this place is an abomination. Owner could careless she never called me back ...had issues with Joy and Eddie worsted employees ever..almost a month later still haven't worked out the issue...March 31 2023 and still No care or concern from this horrible place..April 3rd 2023 and still No care to resolve..April 23rd 2023 owner has still not contacted me back ..so I'm guessing she condones the actions of her employees one minute there willing to make it right then I asked for an apology and know they will not even contact me back..what horriable people. It is now June 10th 2023 and still never received and compensation from Joy like she stated ..but she had the hardest time apologizing for issue for issue which is what I wanted ..but was told she would make I right ..but has not even tried..A lie is a lie..Joy said it so I'm going to hold her to her promise.june 20th stil manager doesn't want to hold up here end of the resolve like she said she would Joy is a liar.. make it right so we can stop this ! Update feb 5th 2024 and still No resolve over issue ...just horriable owners ..

I love this place! Always a great selection of food to choose from. My personal favorite is the DJ sushi roll, but I typically pick two sushi rolls and eat half of each and save the rest for later.
They offer a selection of Chinese and Japanese dishes with a distinct American spin, and most options are delicious.
If you ever visit at lunch, make sure you try their massive lunch specials of a choice of a tonkatsu meat with vegetables, a salad, and a little fruit, served with a bed of rice.
So far, I haven't tried anything that I wouldn't recommend to someone else. So if you're in town, make sure you check this place out!

I have had great experiences with this restaurant up until today, when I had the most unpleasant & downright disrespectful interaction with a manager named Russell. My husband and I work opposite shifts and rarely see each other, so he decided to surprise me with sushi today. I order the lovely roll regularly, but this time I received a Bubba roll instead. I called and asked if I could bring it in (I tried to eat a small amount of it but quickly realized it just isn’t my taste at all). He asked for the order info, I gave him my husbands name, the total ($41+) , the other items we’d ordered and even let him know my husband had used a $10 gift card he’d won from a local radio station. He claimed he couldn’t find the ticket, and I didn’t have the receipt. I told him I had the food, would bring it in with me, its very simply recognizable (I would assume) by someone who works there as having come FROM there, and I am returning it as a customer and letting him know it isn’t what I wanted or what my husband intended to order. I made no big deal out of the fact that if it’s what we were charged for, there’s a large difference in the price.. I simply wanted it corrected. He then began exclaiming that I “obviously wasn’t understanding what he’s saying”, which I was, I was just baffled at these practices. He continued to refuse and told me unless I could come up with a receipt - I was getting NOTHING. And that there was no other management to speak with, he was the “end all, be all”. His attitude throughout this entire interaction became more and more venomous, and at the end when I asked his name? He made one more insult to my intelligence by saying his name then asking if I needed help spelling it, too. I will never spend another dime at this place and will be making sure I let anyone else know that this is the type of customer service you can expect when dining with Asia Garden.

I’ve now contacted the business twice more to reach out to the owner, and been told I’d be contacted ASAP.. I’ve received no response.

Update 12/03/2023 : I have watched whomever is in charge of this pages responses respond to literally EVER other review but mine for last 2 months. I’m taking a wild guess it must be the same guy I had all the issues with initially, who claimed there was no one “above him”. What impressive business practices.

Hot and Sour Soup was neither hot nor sour. Tasted like beef broth with mushrooms and vegetables.
Egg roll was tasty and sauce was good.
Ordered Beef with peppers. Sauce was tasty, as was the beef. Peppers, onions, and mushrooms where chunky and had plenty of them. Lomein was good.
We had lunch specials so prices were average.
This is not a buffet. Regular prices are a bit high.
Atmosphere was quiet and dark. Even bathrooms were not well-lit.
I probably won't be going there again.

Ordered delivery to a hotel. General Tsao chicken - overcooked and tough and crab Rangoon - seriously over-fried. Delivery was to my door. I don’t know how long it was out there. A knock on door would have been helpful

My husband and I stopped here driving through and I am so happy we did. I was craving General Tsos Chicken pretty badly and chicken fried rice. My husband got the DJ Sushi Roll and Chicken Teriyaki. Everything was delicious and the food came out quick and our service was excellent. This place definitely satisfied my craving. Thanks to all the staff there!

The food is hit or miss here, at least for a vegetarian like me. When it's good, it's REALLY good. When it's not, it's flavorless at it's worst. I'll keep going back though. My husband always loves what he gets, and he's a meat eater. Atmosphere and service are always great though.

We went to Asia Garden based upon reviews. It didn't disappoint. We ordered General Tsao's, Cashew Chicken, Chicken Lo Mein and a Naruto roll. It was all very good and presented well. The GT was not spicy, so if you're looking for that be prepared. The servings are generous and the restaurant was nicely decorated. The only down side was that the dishes were brought out about 5 minutes apart, so that needed to be better planned. Staff were friendly and attentive.

The general tso was very good as were the egg rolls and egg drop soup! The sweet and sour chicken was a little dry and the almond chicken could have had a little more chicken and sauce but overall it was a very good dinner and we will go back.
