$28 all you can eat. 2 hour max. Waste and take-away not allowed.
15 pieces max on sushi or sashimi. Then it’s a $.75 up charge per piece.
Good deal if you can eat at least 3 rolls and a few appetizers.
The waitress was slow and kept bringing me 1 piece of sushi even though I wanted 3 pieces at a time.
Not a bad deal if you are hungry.

I wanted to get up and leave but felt rude and obligated to eat once we all sat down. Very stiff server. Seemed like he could care less. I didn’t realize this was a buffet. The prices are outrageous and if you can’t finish you are charged $1 for every piece you don’t eat. I ordered a soda water for each person with me and it was $15 for 5 soda waters. That’s crazy, they aren’t bottled, it’s poured into a cup from a soda wand. The food was good though, everything tasted great. I won’t come again or recommend because of service, pricing and the policy about $1 for any uneaten piece. I didn’t over order so it didn’t affect me but it’s pretty wild. Charging $30 a person and then charging them extra for what they can’t finish is insane. It’s a place to check out if you want to splurge but be warned that it’s pricey af.

We arrived at 5 PM with a group of six; four adults, and two children and were seated immediately. The menu is fairly simple, only two sides. The restaurant is basically an all-you-can-eat affair, $29 for adults, $14 or $18 for kids, depending on age. There is an à la carte menu if you're not that hungry. The only catch to this scenario is that everyone at the table has to do all-you-can-eat or à la carte. There is no middle ground. I wasn't too happy about the all you can eat concept since I'm not in my 20s anymore, but others would make up for my loss.
The restaurant appears to have been a western sports bar and grill in a previous life. It appears much the same, with the addition of a large array of sea creatures attached to walls and ceiling.
The food is good, the service was better. With a fairly large group, we sampled quite a few different items; appetizers, sushi, sashimi, and hibachi. For example, if you want steak hibachi, all you get is a bowl of steak, which they don't ask how you want it cooked. You must order a bowl of veggies and rice or noodles to complete the experience.
The service was very good. We never had to ask for a refill, and they kept the food coming. I would have expected the place to be more crowded. Maybe it's just slow on Mondays? However, if you're ready to chow down, this should work for you and your party. Enjoy.

Absolutely delicious and worth the price for all you can eat. I also appreciate their dedication to avoiding food waste. I prefer going at off times, as orders are more likely to get lost during very busy times. Even when this happened, however, servers were always happy to put in another order if asked.

The absolute best sushi restaurant I have ever been to. The all you can eat option was a very good deal and it included sashimi! Hibachi and soups were also included. The food was excellent and very well prepared. My server checked on me often and they used tablets to instantly transmit my order. Very clean restaurant and great location. They provide plenty of white sauce and soy sauce. I definitely recommend eating herring if you are in the area.

Came in on a Friday night and was seated right away. The service was top-notch. The food came out very quickly after ordering our items. The price of $29 pre person(9-2023) is very reasonable for what you get and the quality of food they give you. Nice clean place and good atmosphere. I would recommend giving them a try. Even if you don't like sushi, they have other options to try.

For an all you can eat style sushi spot this place is pretty good. The quality was surprising. The service is so so seems like each server has too many table to work. We recommend figure out what you want and order it all at once. They will bring it out as its made. You will definitely get your moneys worth here.

We went yesterday, 12-9-24 for the 1st time in a while. The last time we went was uninspiring, but yesterday the food was of high quality and came to the table fast and fresh. Cudos to our server Claudia Timms for 1st class servive, and the host met us with a huge genuine smile. All and all a great experience. I recommend highly!!

If you are somewhat into authentic sushi/Japanese food this is not the place to go. The fish is chain restaurant quality and the sushi is presented in a way that does not do Japanese cuisine justice. To sum it up, an Americanized sushi chain.

We went in with 5 people and a 2 year old. The hosts said that we would all have to get all you can eat sushi for parties of 6 or more. They wanted us to pay for all you can eat sushi for a 2 year old. Absolutely not. That's plenty of other places that have all you can eat without this nonsense. Save yourself the trip eat somewhere else.

Here’s just the notes i took during my time here just so you don’t have to read a whole review. Starting with good and going to bad. P.S. I’m a eater so be ready
Gyoza was very good
Godzilla roll was EXTREMELY good they don’t play on the spicy mayo though so be careful if you really hate spicy but it’s a tolerable spice
MT Fuji roll was delicious
Temptation roll was good
crab salad was good
LSU roll looked weird but there just the soybean paper but it was good
the waitress we had was nice once she got to our table
now for the bad
soy sauce bottles were screwed on wrong so they leaked everywhere
Service took 22 minutes to even get our drinks or walk over in general and the waitress was at every table around us just filling their drinks
place is poorly ventilated but it’s something you can ignore

I came in with low buffet level expectations, but WOW I was blown away by the quality. Everything is made to order and very flavorful. Sushi portions are full size rolls and are much more than just giant balls of rice. You do not have to order the all you can eat, a la carte orders are permitted. Service was on point, very prompt and polite. Seriously, food here is better than some of the high end restaurants in Greenville.
Updated 9/13/2023. Been here several times since my first review, and I'm glad to report it's still a great experience and great quality. Stephanie has been our server for the last few visits and is very polite and attentive. Definitely recommend.
Updated 11/18/2024 - Still staying consistent on the food, still a regular. Taking off three stars for atmosphere because I've noticed a sewer smell when near the bathrooms. Doesn't seem to be cleaning related, probably something wrong with the building's plumbing, but it's been there on both recent visits. Request to be seated away from the restrooms.

This place is weird. Atmosphere is strange. Poorly ventilated. Loud pop music but not in a “cool” way. I had to ask to order off the menu versus the all-you-can-eat option. Rainbow roll and spicy tuna were just ok but not gross. Happy to say no illness came of this meal bc based on atmosphere I was a little concerned. Very surprised by all the other rave reviews.

We go here all the time. Everyone is nice and the service is really good. There's a good variety of sushi all made fresh as you order. They have Japanese sodas and beer as well. It's one of our favorite places to go when we are able the price is a little steep but fair.

The salmon on my sushi was incredible old and the shrimp came burnt. Terrible experience and terrible food! Also, usually when someone orders food and don’t eat the food the order, it’s because something is not right - the waitress had zero concern asking about how is the food.

The place is cool. The two times I've gotten takeout were pleasant. My coworkers and I came for lunch and dined in. WORST experience ever. The server was absolutely horrible. My first time ever not leaving a tip, she didn't deserve one. And granted, their system was down which is why our food took forever but that doesn't warrant her giving us terrible service. Because of that I won't be back. Sucks because the food is great

Trash. They don’t even season their rice. Just plain balls of rice. This is literally the worst sushi I’ve ever had. You may think you are getting a good deal here, but you will get a better deal just paying full price for your sushi from a place that actually seasons their rice.
They charge you extra if you want to add avocado to your sushi roll even though you’re paying for all you can eat and they have avocado sushi rolls. They charge me a three dollar surcharge because I left five pieces of sushi. I would’ve eaten it if it was good. I don’t waste food. And I also don’t eat food if it doesn’t taste good. I just went ahead and let them charge me the surcharge and decided I will never go back again. I already knew that they don’t season their rice so it’s really my fault for going back.
Update: I responded to the email that was provided in their reply below but they never followed up.

First time at this restaurant, and walked away disappointed. Ordered teriyaki chicken from the regular dinner menu, and was surprised to receive a plate of cold, uncooked vegetables with the cooked teriyaki chicken laid over top. The chicken was cooled down completely from being placed over the cold raw veggies. I showed the server (who seemed very new and inexperienced) and kindly asked if it was normal here for the teriyaki chicken to come served over raw veggies. She noted the raw veggies, so she said she’d ask the kitchen. When she returned, she said that they usually come over cooked veggies. That was it. No offer to remedy it and no apology. Having been a server once. I don’t make demands of servers so I let it go. My husband who ordered hibachi chicken was served a normal plate of cooked veggies with his chicken but said it was only average. Having spent over $20 per plate we found it unsatisfactory and will not be returning.

It’s way over priced. Went last night for the first time and will not go back. Didn’t like the food much and the chicken teriyaki was just chicken breast cut in long pieces with sauce on top, they don’t cook it all together like it should be.

Sushi Kingdom is a RIP OFF! Our family has been going there for almost 2years and celebrating birthdays, anniversaries and other special occasions. On Saturday, we went there and 2 of us ordered the buffet and the third person who eats very little decided to order from the regular menu. At checkout, we double checked the bill and realized that the servant added extra items covered under sushi buffet and charged all 3 of us as buffet. I asked to review the itemized bill and noticed ‘extra small charges.” I called the manager and he said well “we charge by table” and if someone doesn’t ask about our charging policies it’s their responsibility. IMAGINE these crooks deciding “when to charge by the table vs by the order vs a la carte” without telling you - because “you did not ask…” We will never go back to there. UNETHICAL and FRAUDULENT billing is a crime. Robbing hardworking Americans is even worse!

I had all you can eat from the lunch menu. Three sushi was ok. The fish seemed fresh enough but the choice of rolls available at lunch were limited. I ordered a couple of items from the kitchen too. Vegetable tempura was hot but very oily. Tune tataki was good but had an unusual appearance. Overall, I was not impressed, although I did eat a lot of sushi for the roughly $20 price tag. Dinner at this restaurant may be much better than lunch? The decor here is quite nice.

Server charged me for all you can eat even though, I only ate miso soup, because she never asked me if I wanted anything else, and also forget to put the only other thing I asked for in, and it was extremely cold. Also the waitress was so mean. I’ve never felt more uncomfortable while being served before. Also $32 for miso soup bc of her poor service is outrageous. If I ever eat there again I’ll make sure to ASK TO NOT GET MILA.

Staff is terrible and super unprofessional. Me and 2 teens came in, and ordered 4 sushi rolls. That’s it. 4 rolls for 3 people. We ate every piece with the exception of 5 pcs of the dynamite roll, as it was not good. It was super mushy, drowned in some weird sauce that tasted like vinegar. 4 rolls for 3 people is not at all wasteful and for $35 a person, it was very light handed for all you can eat. We did not order anything extravagant. We did not order 3-4 rolls each. Just 4 for the table!
The super rude server (super tall skinny dude with a pony tail) embarrassed us all by saying we were wasteful and he was charging us extra bc of the 5 pcs we didn’t finish bc we just like it at all. We ate every other roll, just not that one. He mad the biggest fuss, embarrassing us in front of everyone and going to get staff members to hover over our table like we were felons getting caught in a crime.
For $104, our 4 rolls were not wasteful or greedy. That’s almost $30 a roll we paid. Yet we’re humiliated bc we didn’t finish a few bites.
We will never return.

Great food, all you can eat option which really translates to more than you should eat. Something for everyone even the non-sushi loving members of your group. The only negative I could find would be the piecemeal way your order comes out. They make it work but if you want everything together this might not be the place for you. For our group, it worked, you eat, you wait a bit for the next thing, then you eat again.

I drove all the way from Anderson to have lunch here. My oldest son and I met my youngest son and my dad there. We got there at 1:45 and they had already been inside eating. When the waitress finally came to the table after we had been sitting there 10 mins, we ordered from the all you can eat lunch menu. We only ordered a couple of things each to get started and was planning to order more. I ordered a Kani salad, a hand roll, and shrimp tempura. My oldest ordered a hand roll and a soup. We finished those up and waited again for the waitress to come back to get the rest of our order and at 2:18 she comes to the table to inform us that we can no longer order from the all you can eat menu and that they cut it off at 2:15. We were never told there was a cut off for ordering other than the 2 hour cut off that is on the menu. They offered to just charge us for what we ordered but then told us it would be cheaper to pay $19 each. Through all of this we didn't even realize that they never brought my son his soup. So we paid $19 for him to eat a $6 Alaskan handroll. But to make it all better we were offered a 15% discount 🙄 which doesn't even make up for the difference of what I paid for my son's food vs. what he actually ate or the fact that none of us at the table were even done eating. We won't be coming back and hope noone else gets scammed like we did.

Been here many times and have always had a wonderful experience. The food is always amazing and it was this time as well. What I didn’t enjoy was our server Mila completely ignoring us many times. Took her about 10 mins to even greet us as she was honestly just standing there. We would order then eat and she would come back about 20 mins after we finished to see if we wanted another round, but she was very attentive to all of her other tables. Did not appreciate and certainly would not want her again.

Great idea to try different flavors of sushi 🍣 😋. The quality of the food is more in line with fast food and having a time constraint to eat takes the enjoyment from the experience. Especially when you get waitstaff that is lackadaisical. I would give it another chance to get better service for the experience.

The food is great, but we came on father’s day and we were sat at a small table and we asked to get sat at a larger booth, since it was 4 people and a newborn. They told us it was reserved for parties of 5 and more. Which I understand but I would like my baby to be placed on the bench rather than the floor. He can’t sit up by himself and they offered to flip the high chair over but it was unstable and I didn’t like how it was wobbling.
There is a party of 4 sitting at a booth when we were denied one.
The servers are good, the food is good, the managers are not.
I’ve been here multiple times, with no issues. But I probably won’t be coming back anymore. Not untill they get new management.

ONLY reason it’s not 5 stars is because it was hot in there I’m not sure if it’s always hot or their a/c is broken because yesterday was me & my gf 1st time trying it. We went around 4:30 and it wasn’t busy & we were seated right away. Our server knew the menu well & the food came out quickly considering every item comes out separately on individual plates. We chose the all you can eat option & everything was tasteful, hot & fresh. My gf had a house margarita that tasted like water but other than that & the temperature inside the restaurant everything was good & They gave me a fried cheesecake (that was delicious)because it was my birthday so that was a plus. I recommend eating here just be warned that it may be hot inside.

Went saturday and it was so hot in there and busy. the server kept forgetting everything. she bring the wrong things. but she paid attention to one table more than others. others didn’t get everything either. she was overwhelmed and busy i understand. sushi was bland. how a snow crab roll turns out to be imitated crab , should just change the name. i rather go to tsunamis or otto where sushi quality is better. they try to charge for things you didn’t receive . so pay attention to ur bill. never will be back just so unorganized and food is not worth it.

I can only speak to the all you can eat, and it's what you'd expect if McDonald's started making sushi. If you've ever lived near the coast or in any global major city and love Sushi, don't come here. I tried 6 items. The food is edible. That's the best I can say about that. The service was great! Friendly, fast, efficient.

Food is amazing! Service is amazing! Only problem is they always play trash music…. Probably to annoy customers so they don’t stay too long

I had the $28 deal & I enjoyed everything I ate. The food & preparation was absolutely superb. This is the 2nd time I've ate there & l love that you are here in Greenville

The food was great! However, it is an all you can sushi place. Even the kids have all you can eat choices. My four year daughter doesn't eat a whole happy meal from McDonald's so I could not see paying $15 for her to eat half a chicken strip and a few fries. With that being said, I don't eat enough to justify paying $28 for myself, let alone the $1 per peice of a sushi roll that I don't eat. My boyfriend could eat enough for both of us. But when we asked for a regular menu, the waitresses' attitude changed and so did the service. She didn't check on us often. Part of our order didn't get put in. It felt like we were a burden because we didn't want the all you eat. But the food was awesome!

This used to be our favorite place for sushi in Greenville. The food quality is incredibly high for an all you can eat place, I can still say that.
However, the service has gone from mediocre to literally one of the worst table service restaurants in Greenville. Even though they are fully staffed, there appears to be absolutely no organization or system of any kind. Sushi chefs stand behind the counter cranking out orders, while wait staff take orders on tablets table side - you would think this would be a coordinated system.
Instead, orders pile up on the counter while the obviously untrained staff look confused at what is what and try to guess what their orders should be. We had multiple wrong items brought to our table, by multiple servers. Some items arrived ice cold - items that should have been cooked, I mean.
The absolute worst part is the delay - the idea is you order in rounds, so as one batch of food comes, you go ahead and place an order for the next round. This way, as you finish one round the next one arrives.
This system is obviously beyond the capacity of the staff to deliver. Orders for the same table come out at wildly different times - parts of my third round came out while my dinner partner was still waiting on their first. None of our orders came out correctly or complete, the server had literally no idea what items were. We had to help her find menu items on her tablet, only to have her not bring them.
Meanwhile, parties stacked 5 deep at the door - on a Tuesday night while the restaurant was largely empty. With 4 servers standing by the door, apparently unable or too incompetent to seat any of them. All seating was handled by one person literally running around the restaurant, who was also trying to correct the chaos of the jumbled orders - I assume this was the manager, but he was too busy trying to bring us food we didn't order to ask.
We were told they had a very large party that was throwing them off - yet there were at least 5 servers we counted on shift when we came in, again with the restaurant largely empty.
The restaurant cleanliness has degraded - bathrooms were a mess and smelled horribly of unflushed toilets. Considering the cleanliness and ice cold food coming from the kitchen, I fear food safety may become a concern.
We certainly won't be coming back, and will be making sure every sushi lover we know is aware. If you are looking for a wonderful sushi experience in Greenville, I cannot recommend Purple Sushi Bistro highly enough in Greenville's West End, downtown.

Thank you for opening such a fantastic establishment! We had the best time. The price is great, the food was delicious, service was awesome. Zero complaints and only positive remarks. I’ve been raving about this place to all my friends and coworkers.

Never again. Service was the only decent thing there. Dishes were dirty, the food was baaaaad. Some fish were smelling a bit spoiled, so we had to leave it.

The food was not good. Not fresh by any standard. Publix sushi is better and that sits in a cooler. Edamame was over cooked and hardly any sea salt. Crab Rangoon was cold when delivered to the table. We ordered 3 different rolls off the chef menu and they tasted bad. Yes they make the rolls fresh but the ingredients used is not. Maybe just a bad day to go because the reviews were good so we decided to try. Our waitress was very nice and tried to rectify the poor dining experience. I would say save your $ and go somewhere else.

Service was great and we felt good during our time there. But unfortunately, that lunch didn’t work out well for me and my colleague. We all felt sick afterwards

I don’t understand how there’s a 2 hour limit but it takes 30 minutes to get your appetizer. They didn’t bring out half of the food we asked for and tried to blame it on us. I understand being busy but they had lots of employees, half of them were literally propped up on their phones

I was very disappointed in the food. I would have asked for my money back if my son's hadn't been with me. Everything tasted like cardboard. I am not one to complain but it was bad. Maybe everyone was having a rough day or something because all the reviews before mine said the place was fantastic. The staff were really nice though.

My husband and I just randomly decided we wanted sushi today, this place had the best reviews so we went. When I tell you, it was the best sushi we have ever had I mean it. The waitress was so sweet and informative. I can not eat avocado and they had no issue making it without it. It was quickly prepared and tasted so good. Please if you haven't try them out you won't regret it. And we are already talking about coming back with friends ans family.

Cute place, however the AYCE is rather slow service, spent a lot of time just waiting on the waitress or food both times we did the AYCE. Once for dinner. Once at lunch. BUT, If you can eat your weight in sushi, it's worth a visit!

A very strange place, but it hasn't failed me yet.
If you get two items, you've already made back your money, and maaaaan you're gonna get more than two items.
Ignore the whole back half of the menu, and tell them NO SPICY MAYO on anything.
You're gonna have a great time.

Amazing! Everything we tried was delicious and we ate every bit of it. Gyoza, crab, Rangoon, spring rolls, cucumber, salad, crab salad, sushi rolls (especially the AJ), sweet rolls, steak and chicken hibachi, every bit of it was excellent! Cannot wait to be back in Greenville to eat here again!

We go to another very nice sushi restaurant after ordering 2 "fancy" rolls for 12 to 17 a peice but here for $28 per person everything on the menu is all you can eat. The food was delicious, we will definitely be going back!

So unlike the negative post I'm seeing our waitress was fantastic and our food was fabulous. The biggest issues I had that almost made me leave was the host. We arrived around 6 on a sat night. I expected it to be busy as of course it was. We were told a 30 min wait for 4. Fine No problem. We had been standing in front of the entrance podium the whole time. As our 30 mins come and went I was about to ask if we were coming up soon as a large party of Spanish speaking individuals arrived. The host asked their name and how many and told her in English it would be about a 45 min wait. She turns to her party says something in Spanish and then turns to the Spanish host and begins speaking to him in Spanish. Next thing I know they are being seated immediately... So it's very clear to me that there's some basis favors going on here and my multi ethnical group didnt make the cut. I decided to wait to see how it played out. Lucky for him his manager caught on to what he had done and sat us next. Otherwise idk where we would have been in the arrangement. This was our first time to sushi kingdom, and it was almost the last. I hope that the host gets some serious training bc that was very unprofessional and downright rude.
