Contemporary setting for Asian fusion eats with tableside hibachi grilling, sushi & a cocktail bar.
If you want to sit at the bar great but you can't order food. You apparently can't sit at the sushi bar either even though there are chairs there. Your only options are a table or a sticky booth. There was a ton of staff but they only seemed interested in standing around giggling at the bar and the host podium. Menus are miss matched and you're given 3 of them. 2 were sticky and one had what appeared to be brown goo on it. I ordered a margarita & got a fly with my margarita mix. I ordered the Fire Cracker Roll and the California Sunshine roll. I didn't even get what I ordered. Both rolls had old browning and crumbling mashed Tuna. It actually resembled baby food. One roll was literally filled with old panko and nothing else. The only thing I tried was a tiny piece of salmon but it had a film on it. I had to walk up to the waitress to ask if I could just pay for my margarita that I took 2 sips of and leave because the sushi was not good and the fish was old and I didn't want to get sick. Another customer overheard me and said that for what it was worth he noticed the same thing. The waitresses were not happy that I wanted to leave.

Great dinner experience. We went here during the early bird time which is from 4:30-6pm Monday-Sunday. We sat in the grill section where the chef cooks in front of you. Waitress was friendly and once our table was almost full the chef arrived to cook. From the time we were seated to time the cooking started it was about 20mins. The escolar nigiri was delicious and the food cooked by the chef was also good. My husband and I paid extra to split a chicken and steak plate. We both still had plenty of food; enough for 2 to-go plates. Prices were reasonable. The only thing that could be improved is the amount of papers taped to the front door and hostess stand. The papers made the entryway feel messy. Otherwise we enjoyed our trip to this restaurant!

We had Josh as our chef and he was absolutely wonderful! He is very personable, humorous and very good at keeping the people at his table engaged. The food he prepared was excellent. Although, all of the chefs we've had at this restaurant have been great but Josh really stood out. We have ate here many times and it seems like always the servers tend to take their time on delivering refills or bringing out starters. Favorite hibachi place to go to!

I was a little hesitant to stay and order after being sat at a dirty table with no offer to wipe it off, and dead bugs in the windowsill beside my booth. I ordered the veggie rolls and sushi. Both were good. The service was excellent. The menus had burn marks on them, so they were kind of hard to read

Our first time here and we enjoyed it. We both got the bento box dinner specials, which came with a soup and salad to start. The soup was very good and we loved the ginger dressing on the salad! The main dishes were hearty and delicious...enough to take home for a second meal. And the combos included a scoop of vanilla ice cream for dessert...not bad but another option for dessert would be nice. Ample seating in the bar area, and the service was good too.

First time visitor and I absolutely enjoyed myself. The customer service was awesome and friendly. Very clean. Our chef was hilarious, and I liked that he made sure no one was allergic to shrimp before he started cooking. I had the chicken and shrimp hibachi. Sooooo much food. Definitely enough for two people three if you wanna stretch it. The soup was great, and the salad was fresh. Will return.

It wasn't all that I thought it would be. The cook seems to have an attitude when I asked him to cook my food with no onions. They have a warning concerning seafood, but nothing else was stated.
The onion soup was another thing that should have been read on the menu so that people like myself would know. Also very poor service with the service. I asked for a refill a few times and ice for my tea. A friend actually got in touch so that I can get the ice, and they never refilled the tea or anyone drinks for that matter.
Being my first time there, we were asked to wait outside for over an hour and a half because they claimed that they could not add any chairs to the table. Again, a big turn-off for me, plus the outside of the building was dirty with trash everywhere. Old papers were on the entrance and the glass was dirty coming into the building entrance. Once inside, my wife try a few times to get our table but again she was informed that we have to wait until everyone was there. For me, that's the poorest customer service that I have ever seen in a restaurant that I am visiting for the first time.
Other than that, I enjoy the fire show, and I film most of the food cooking. I started taking pictures of everything and it was good until I said that I was allergic to onions, and seafood. And everything went a little bit differently.
Will, I returned to visit? No, it wasn't something that honestly caught my attention long enough for a wow moment. I asked do they allow customers to cook as well and his answer was not on weekends, but maybe through the week. If he would have said yes, then that would have been a wow moment.
So, I give it three stars instead of my normal rating. Three is somewhat good for me! I'm usually very hard when I visited new restaurants and I am looking for that wow moment that would make me come back again and again.

What an abysmal place. The fact it's open is baffling. The worst dining experience ive ever had. The place is filthy. Our grill was dirty when we were sat. The chef cleaned it a lil then watched him dump a tray on old leftover scraps on the grill and cook ours. Service was so bad. Almost a 2 hour experience. Had to leave my table. Walk to the other room just to get another beverage. Food was over cooked (eggs were actually burnt) and not a very high quality of product at all. Then as we are trying to leave i watch a staff member take an unused (dirty) togo tray from a previous table and just add right back to the stack of clean (debatable) togo boxes. Staff couldn't give 2 cares about anything. Zero urgency. Zero manners. I will never return to this place. Also. Lets hope i dont get some weird bug tomorrow from just being present here. DHEC needs to pay them a visit. Like yesterday.

Hands down by far the worst Japanese Steakhouse we have ever been to. We have been to many steakhouses in many states, and across the world and this is hands down by far the worst, quite possibly the worst restaurant experience we have ever received. The wait staff and service was absolutely abhorrent. We all waited at our table after being seated for at least 20 minutes before we even got anyone to take drink orders. They do not use garlic, sesame seeds or any other seasoning you would expect at a Japanese steakhouse and when I requested sesame seeds I was told I had to request them in advance and then they would charge for them because they do not use it there. We also asked about garlic for the food and they said that they do not use that either. The food was way overpriced for the quality. By far the most bland Japanese Steakhouse food we have ever received. They do not season their food which shows a lack of confidence in being able to properly seasoned food. They Grill it and then they dumped sauce on it after it is grilled and then put it on your plate. It is by far the worst food we have received, reqardlesss of price point. I did not eat any of what was placed on my plate in front of me because by the time it came to eat I had lost my appetite. My wife ordered the steak and salmon. They grilled the salmon and then chopped it up and dumped yum yum sauce on it which my it inedible. Her steak was full of gristle and of poor quality so they had to re-cook the steak which was still subpar due to lack of seasoning. I ordered steak and scallops to which the chef could not even read the server's writing and consistently got my order wrong. They "forgot" the scallops repeatedly after asking about them and I told them to take them off the bill and they would not. After I got my check and had my entire portion of food boxed up to take home to my chickens, they finally brought out the scallops that had been cooked in the kitchen in the back for me to put in my to go box with me. Also, in what is supposed to be included in the Hibachi dinner is dessert and it was never offered to any of us at the table, so the few that remained around the table after we paid asked about our dessert and they told us it was a combination of vanilla and green tea ice cream if we would like it, to which we replied yes we would like it to go and the server told us that they do not give the dessert to go we would have to eat it here. The all-around dining experience was the absolute worst we have ever received in any restaurant! Steer clear of this restaurant because apparently they are under new ownership, and what used to be a decent Japanese Steakhouse for the area is now probably by far the worst restaurant... possibly anywhere. No Miso or clear soup either, only chicken broth based soup!!

This has always been our favorite hibachi spot! The last few visits have been terrible, sadly. Last night we visited as a party of 8, the service was awful. Our waitress was beyond rude and could care less about requests, she forgot our appetizers and rolled her eyes when we asked her, forgot drinks, told my daughter we do not have white rice--she needs to say it properly, "steamed," she was not kidding. She was rude. However, she forgot it anyway, my daughter ate fried, it wasn't worth tracking down the waitress. Also, the restaurant was EMPTY! they were NOT busy.
We brought a large party in to celebrate my daughter's 11th bday and it was a terrible choice.

Starting with the good, me and my girlfriend went there and got Josh as our cook and to be honest he is the best when it comes to chefs there. From his humor to his cooking skills he kept everybody there entertained and even made funny jokes to the kid at our table who was birthday king. Josh is also very relatable talking to us about old child hood shows and laughing about the suggestive content of what us older halves of the generations grew up with and even gave a few life lessons to the eldest child of the children with the other group about taking care of family. He sang the barney the dinosaur theme song while cooking our shrimp and overall gave us such an amazing time. If you want any piece of advice i’d say go there and cross your fingers that he’s your chef because he gave us such an amazing experience and i would go there everyday if i knew each time i would get him and his comedic genius at our table. Another thing is you have to remember that you’re at his table and he rules the table. he’s very funny talking about his one rule of making everyone do the egg catch unless you truly don’t want to. His food that he served was perfectly cooked and amazing! He is also very cleanly. We also got sushi while we were there and it was made to perfection!
Now for the bad: every time we’ve gone to fusion the servers always some how mess up the order for us or for the chefs, or they just take too long to refill drinks or bring a check out or just completely don’t bring you the things you ask for or your after meal ice cream. But you should still stay for the chefs because every one of them is amazing and honestly carry the 5 stars of this review!

The hibachi was seasoned well. We enjoyed our steak and shrimp. The food was abundant, as we had enough for a meal for each of us the next day. And we had a shared meal. The broth , mushroom, was good but I didn't see any other choices. We did not care for the ginger dressing on our salad. We got there at 430 but the chef did not start cooking until 5. We have seen more interesting cooking displays at other hibachis. It was a bit dark where we seated. The chef did ask how your food should be cooked and did that. The cost was reasonable, under $50 with an appetizer.

My fiance and I went and waited 10 minutes for a seat, so we went to the bar and had a drink. We did the grill which was ok. However, the floors were DIRTY AND STICKY. The seats were sticky. We ordered another drink once we sat down and NEVER got after reminding the waiter. We ordered sushi and they decided to give it to us WITH our meal. It was so much food to eat at once. After eating, we waited 10-15 for dessert, which was 1 scoop of ice cream. It was already melting when it came.

Someone from the board of health has got to pay ATTENTION to this place. I have never been so disgusted by my surroundings in a restaurant in my life. The restrooms, horrible. The windows, greasy and finger prints everywhere. The staff unless they are getting you something, all sit around. No one even looks like they give a crap to be there much less care about the filth they are working in. My chair, unbeknownst to me, as it was brown, was so filled with sauce, old food from others, left a stain so large on the back of my white linen top that I want someone there to pay my bill to have it professionally cleaned! Although this place HAS NO CLUE ABOUT CLEANING. As we left you walk through a hallway with fake bamboo. Well, take a look at the bamboo, it will tell you all you need to know, and turn around and run!!!!!
As far as paying for dinner there, I am going to make sure my bank knows I dispute due to the stomach illness we all have had since the middle of the night last night.

First time here. The outside of the place is dirty especially the outside seating area on the side which was the turn off. We had reservations and were seated promptly. The cook had to be reminded to smile and Did nothing special other than cook the food incorrectly for most guests. The customers had to entertain ourselves which we did. I guess the days of the personality of the cook are gone. The food was tasteless and winded up in the trash the next day. Shrimp overcooked, A lot of forgotten items for each customer example Example I did not order chicken I ordered shrimp I did not order beef I ordered chicken. Overcook vegetables. Mainly no personality at all at the table period. It was a drag. Never again. PS. Dont let the pictures of the pretty food fool you! The hibachi looks like slop!

We were seated at the hibachi table with about 10 people, the hibachi cook started serving the rice at the front, and only gave us a very small portion of rice, when he got to the end of the table he loaded their plates high with rice, leaving the people on the front with a kid's portion of rice, he proceeded to continue to do the vegetables, and meat the exact same way. Whatever happened to them putting all the rice together as a huge square, and dividing it equally? It makes no sense to pay the amount you are charged, and they show favoritism in how they serve you your portions. It is not right. We were so under served what we paid for, and other people at the table was over served, our portions.

We were sat in the Dining room for 2 and proceeded to wait 20 minutes before our sever approached the table. Usually I understand being busy, but there was only one other table and we could see our “server” the whole time. Hostess was kind and ended up taking our drink order, but when our server, Maxine, finally was told to do her job she spoke to us one time. Only reason this gets two stars is because the food was great. Wish the service was there.

Anything on woodruff rd better be too notch to deal with the psycho drivers and insane traffic. Came here for my nieces 15th birthday dinner. The hibachi chefs were amazing and very entertaining. Especially Albert. He did a great job. The food was good but the prices were steep and thus the 3 stars. They did give you huge portions so I guess if your getting 2 meals out of it then the value was average.

I walk in the door, no one meets me at the host desk, I eventually approach a table with some servers rolling silverware, who could clearly see me standing there for five minutes and I asked if they were still open and one said yes and finally gotup and sat us. I must admit the food was good. But the part that pissed me off the most was they charge for REMOVING items from a dish!!!! for example, if you don’t want onions, they charge you FOUR DOLLARS to remove them!!! That is the most insane and absurd thing I have ever heard! there’s a reason I only eat here like once every two years, I come and have a bad experience and it takes me two years to forget about it.

Tried to have a nice hibachi dinner on a Saturday night, but it didn’t go as planned. We were seated at 6:58 and proceeded to wait for a waiter to attend to our table. 30 minutes later, we told the front that no one had been at our table. F is for Fusion....went last Friday nite, first of all the entrance is filthy and don't ask about the bathrooms. We have been going to this location even before it was Fusion and it has been going downhill. This was about the worst, when we asked for drink refills from a manager we got a loud rude lecture about how it wasn't his job and that a member of wait staff would do it, plus she/we are to reach across the 500 degree grill to get our drinks as she isn't allowed behind the guest chairs..that's a new one ....the chef made no conversation with the guests and the food was bland, tasteless, and veggies not cooked but burned ...was hard to tell since the smoke from the grills was the worst ever like exhausts weren't working. Felt like calling DHEC, do us a favor close the place ..clean it from top to bottom and retrain your staff including the rudest mgr in town.

I really loved the flavor of their rice. For me it tasted different than other similar places I've gone to. Their meats were pretty much the same as Miyabi's but Not their Piña Colada; which lacked the creamy coconut flavor and was too runny. But over all, I would definitely eat there again whenever I don't feel like waiting for over an hour at Miyabi's. Still, definitely recommend it.

We arrived and waited 20 minutes for a hibachi “show” table. Ordered drinks then a sushi appetizer. I had to guess on the sushi since the waiter didn’t bring the sushi menu out and didn’t ask if anyone needed one. Ordered a Philadelphia roll which came out as a crab stick and cream cheese with masago on top. Weird, was hoping for smoked salmon instead of crab. I tried looking online for their sushi menu and what I found, didn’t have descriptions of what comes in their sushi rolls at all. Just the titles of the rolls. Waited another 15 minutes for sushi to come out. I had to ask our waiter if it was still coming. While waiting for the chef, I noticed the grill still had some leftover food bits on it, like rice. Chef finally came and didn’t do a show at all. Just the big fire at start and throwing shrimp at us to catch in our mouths at the very end and no one really wanted to. Food was mediocre and vegetables and shrimp were burnt. Then our waiter disappears once the chef comes out. My husband never got a refill on his water. I had to ask another server for our checks and the ice cream that comes with the meal. He rudely asked: “what, you’re still hungry?” Wow, I’m asking for the ice cream because we wanted the little dessert and PAYING FOR IT. It clearly states in the menu soup, salad, entree, 2 shrimp appetizers(which no one got)and ice cream. Then the same rude waiter had the audacity to hit on this young woman who was sitting across from us while she was clearly with her family and father sitting right beside her. She was visibly uncomfortable. Poor taste. We won’t be back.

We waited over an hour to get our drinks along with the gas grills were not turned on as half our food was cold when it was being cooked. The manager was very unprofessional and screamed at my father in his face while he was seated after we told him about our experience. When my father got up to leave the manager blocked him from walking away and proceeded to antagonize my father telling my father to hit him! I cannot BELIEVE the way the manager treats customers over an opinion that the food was not cooked properly. Even the people sitting beside us mentioned the food was not cooked correctly and the cook stated this was his ‘First Day’. The manager was very disrespectful and SCREAMED right next to my toddlers ear and scared her. The person writing the review below me doesn’t know HALF of what happened as we were the ones receiving horrible service. The waiter brought out white rice TWICE with the soup after we told her we just wanted extra fried rice added to the bill when she was taking our order so it would be cooked with our meal and she also brought out 3 extra drinks we did not ask for. We never said any racial slurs and would NEVER to anyone we simply said that the waiter did not speak good English and did not understand what we were trying to order, as she kept bringing out the wrong items to us as the people next us WITNESSED so we asked to talk to the manager to make sure our bill would be correct. The manager did not apologize, nor tried to make anything right, As the picture shown, he is screaming at us. The bi standards that put their two cents in by saying the manager did the right thing. That’s some “Good” parenting you have going for ya! If screaming at customers for having an Opinion is okay then YOU are apart of the problem thinking that’s how a manager is suppose to treat their customers!

Went for sons B-day . Awesome experiance. Great food and service. A little hiccup. A customer from another table was being rude and racist to the employees and the manager firmly told the guy to leave and the customer yelled began being disorderly and beligerant, using foul language in front of children and other customers, then preceeded to call the police on the manager for telling him to leave. The manager did what any professional businessman would do, which is take care of your staff and your customers when someone is being discruntled, discrimitive and just plain rude. This was the first time my children in real life experianced racist comments and discrimination and they were shocked to see an adult act the way this guy did. The manager even apologized to all the guests for the rude customers behavior. Thank you staff and management for being amazing and taking care of your staff and customers, as you always do which is why me and my family keep coming to your establishment.

Went to fusion. Was told was going to be an hour wait for a table. Arrived at 7:05 was seated by 9:30. Was served a cook at 10:22. Was at the restaurant for way too long for okay food. Didn't leave until after 11pm. Worst experience by far. Probably won't return.

Excellent service. Excellent tasting food and the bar tender with the adult drinks were made flawlessly. Typically, don't give 5 star reviews but definitely well worth the money.

Our waitress was so rude. She saw me eating my sushi with my hands and never came to give me chopsticks. She barely came to the table to check on us. She was to busy talking to the sushi chef and playing on her phone. The server only had us and one more table. We were in the dine in section. I don’t even know how she still has a job if she obviously doesn’t want to be there.

The food is always AMAZING! The cooks are AWESOME!! Sadly their service the last few times we’ve been has been terrible, the cooks are more help than the servers. Also the front doors and foyer are in desperate need of a cleaning and new papers in the windows without tape EVERYWHERE!! I hate to see such a great place look so terrible…

Just average for a Japanese steakhouse. When sitting down, I saw that the flat top was still covered in old food remnants.
My party all ordered the combo dinner entres, which are supposed to come with shrimp appetizers...that never happened. The soup had a very metallic taste to it and none of us (3 total) could eat it.
The chef was nothing special either. His "show" portion was extremely minimal. Would have been better if he had just done nothing.
All in all, price wasn't too bad I guess, but I wouldn't ever recommend this restaurant to anyone if they came to me.

The bartender was the worse experience that man is so unprofessional and disrespectful, if you donkit like your job find a new one. It’s not the customers fault of your unhappiness. My husband and myself set at the bar and attempted to order a drink while waiting for our 40 minute table. This is where we were welcomed with a sorry excuse for a bartender which made the entire experience horrible. This place is now completely off our family night rotation.
No apologies or redirection attempted or given .

Called 2 weeks ahead to make a reservation for a birthday dinner. When checking in with the hostess, we were told that the reservation didn’t go through and how there was a new hostess who made the mistake and it would be a 45 min wait. After waiting an hour, we asked the about the situation and was told that there was two more parties ahead of us and would be an additional 2 hour wait. We were told that no one wanted to work and there was nothing they could do. All we could order is drinks and appetizers and was not given any other solution or compensation.
DO NOT GO HERE, even if you make a reservation.

It’s ok. The food is sub-par compared to other hibachi locations in Greenville like Miyabi and it's more expensive. The drinks are not great either. All-in-all, if you want Hibachi, save the time and money and go somewhere else.

Service was terrible and the wait was very long! I had to ask for soy sauce for my sushi 3 times while waiting for a cook for the hibachi. Filet mignon was extremely overcooked to the point that it was crispy and should have been medium well. Subpar experience for the money spent and gratuity that was already included,

Terrible! We were two of five seated first. We ordered filet only to have the waitress come back and say they were out. We also ordered 2 appetizers to be delivered before the meal. Neither came until after the meal started and one came and was completely cold. Then when the cooking chef came out he again shared they were out of filet. Hubby chose chicken instead and I chose to pass completely. Then he got to the 5 people who were seated after us and said they had 2 filets left after we had been told they were out. What?! And the waitress totally ignored us from that point forward because she told us they were out of filets but they suddenly had filets for the people seated after us. Will never be back here! I have never been a fan but hubby wanted hibachi regardless of the fact that this place has been nasty and sketchy in the past. Every surface is stickey and nasty!

Great food and great service - the staff are friendly and their hibachi chefs are phenomenal. I've been here multiple times with my husband and never had an issue (and if we did, they fixed it right away). Absolutely recommend this place if you're looking for a good hibachi experience.

Wow! What has happened to this place?
Been going there for yearsBUT, the last 2 years, it's been atrocious. Food is lacking in quality and flavor. Service, not good from waiters to cooks. Atmosphere, none existent. The place is filthy and empty on this Friday night. Will not ever go back!!!

This has never been my top Japanese steakhouse. But this has really gone down hill.the smoke is atrocious when they are grilling. I asked the waiter if I could have my sushi brought out as an appetizer and he said "unless you want the ginger and wasabi as your appetizer" then I also heard him say to another customer who was wondering why they didnt have ginger and said "it doesn't grow on trees". The food is good, besides the soup...which tastes like heavy watered down chicken broth.

To wait at the bar.
The bar gave us a menu with food on it , we ordered Appetizers and was told we couldn’t even order food at the bar and we had to wait after we was seated. We only
Had the option to order drinks. We were starving ! And the bartender was super slow!!!

Place was awesome atmosphere was great! Wish me and my crew could've came a bit earlier but work schedules don't permit sadly. I honestly loved the food. For the price you pay you get more than you'll probably eat! Google says they close at 9:30 they say 9pm either way the experience was great! The Hibachi Chef had us laughing and the lil joke at the end had me in stitches! I would definitely say take your friends and your family it's awesome the food is a bit salty but not bad overall. I enjoyed myself and I'll definitely go back sooner or later.

We recently dined at Fusion Japanese Steakhouse, and we must say the experience was a mix of highs and lows. The food, particularly the filet and the rice with vegetables, was impeccable, earning a solid 4 stars. However, the soup and salad left me wanting a bit more in terms of flavor.
The highlight of the evening was undoubtedly the entertaining show put on by the skilled chef, which I'd rate a well-deserved 5 stars. On the downside, the service, while friendly, lacked effective communication skills. We ordered 2 filet and shrimp's but ended up with no shrimp, aside from the two samples, which left us hanging.
To make things a bit confusing, the menu stated $30.95 for the filet and shrimp, which became relevant when I reviewed the final bill. I also ordered a large watermelon sake, a customary ritual for me at Japanese Steakhouses. Initially, I was told it was $8, so I ordered a second one. However, the price suddenly jumped to $10, which led to a light-hearted joke. Sadly, the second sake never arrived.
Now, here's where things got interesting. The bill came to $94 for two filets, a large watermelon sake, tea, and water. I left $110, thinking it was a generous $15 tip. However, when I double-checked, I was figuring $60 for the 2 dinners and $10 for sake + a tea should be $94?
I returned inside to request an itemized receipt, as all the receipts were crumpled in the trash. The waitress showed me on the computer that my bill was only $81, and I had given her $100. But I was sure I had left $110. She had taken off the second sake that I never received, redid the receipt, and pocketed the difference. To make matters more perplexing, she had concealed $29 in the folded payment sleeve, which I had initially thought was a $15 tip, not $30. There was definitely some peculiar math at play.
While the food and entertainment were enjoyable, the billing discrepancy left me with mixed feelings about my dining experience.
We sat at the last table on the left around 6:45pm Friday night 9/23/23.
ps... we asked the chief if Sydney worked there from way back when it was a different restaurant and was surprised he knew him and was working in Columbia.

The food was delicious, but end of service stuff was slow. It took forever to pay the bill and get the ice cream, and the ceiling areas could be cleaner.
Besides that, everything else was great and fun.

We enjoyed our meal. The hibachi was fun and a great value considering how much food we got! The ventilation isn't great, however, so it is a bit hard to breath inside.

The food was very good (chateaubriand was a delicious melt in your mouth filet mignon) and the chef (server said his name was Andy) was quite entertaining. Although we did not get dessert as menu states. Keep in mind, if you use a visa gift card, they put a 20% hold on it, so be prepared to not be able to use full amount. The hold comes off after a day or so, but i wanted to use the whole amount toward the bill and could not. But I would definitely go again.
