Hibachi meals & a variety of sushi served in an informal, colorful setting with a full bar.
A friend and I went on Saturday for dinner. We did not do the hibachi. We sat at a booth and ordered from the menu. The atmosphere was very relaxed. Our waiter was very polite and the food was delicious. The cocktails were very nice as well. Nice portion sizes and the food was very flavorful and filling. I loved the dressing on the salad.

We ordered the Salmon and Scallops, Hibachi Shrimp, and Seafood Lovers from the hibachi menu, and each dish was mouthwatering. The fried rice and vegetable medley served with our meal was executed perfectly. This restaurant provided a memorable and delightful dining experience.

Just leaving, to start the food was PHENOMENAL!!! I think our chefs name was Mario, he is the best cook I have EVER HAD there! Very well seasoned, tender food. So so good, I rate a 4 though due to our server. She wasn’t the best, to add I don’t think it’s fair they automatically add gratuity now of 20%. I would not have tipped that. She barely checked on our table, maybe twice. I had to ask another worker to find her. Other than that, the experience was great. Mario is an outstanding cook and puts on a great show too!

The atmosphere is great, and the service was decent. The food on the other hand was pitiful. I got the chicken and shrimp hibachi dinner, which comes with 4 courses, soup, salad, fried rice and your entree with vegetables. The soup and salad were both good, hard thing to mess up. However the entree was not great. Only got 3 damn shrimp, the vegetables were pure soy, the rice was bland, but the chicken was decent. All a bit cold though despite the cooking method. And both of the sauces were very watered down.

I went here a few years ago and food was to die for, seriously one of the best restaurants I've eaten at. We was recently back in Pennsylvania so I made it a point to go here again. The food was very mediocre, definitely not the deliciousness I remembered. The menu says gratituty is added to parties of 4 or more. We had 3 in our party and noticed that gratituties in the amount of $17 were still added to the bill. This was fine but I didn't tip extra. Several days later I noticed my credit card was charged an additional $20 which would of made the tip $37. To top it off the server made a joke about only being Japanese from the waist down (he was a white man that said he had worked there for years). I wouldn't of thought anything of it had it of been a table full of adults but my teenage daughter was with us so this was just distateful. I called the restaurant and spoke to the manager who said he was going to talk to his manager about refunding more than just the tip because of this experience and agreed the joke was very inappropriate. He was suppose to call me back but never did. I believe his name was Mike. I had to call back the next day and spoke with another manager by the name of Amanda who informed me Mike was off that day but the notes on it said they would only refund the $20. I'm sure this isn't the first time this has happened and I know most people don't check their credit card statements to make sure the amounts are exactly what they are supposed to be. A server is stealing from their customers and they do the bare minimum to make it right and I had to call 3 different times to get them to do that. Disappointing. We aren't in PA often but I won't be going back when we are. Check your credit card statements if you eat here.

The cook (a caucasian male) was very inappropriate in making what be considered to be funny but were actually insulting jokes that suggested to be racially motivated. The food was fine, will never patronize this restaurant again though and that’s unfortunate.

The service was okay, but the food was horrible. They messed up twice. The food is on the pricey side and the servings are for toddlers. Everything bland or saturated with horseradish. Chicken......from yesterday! I dont even understand how this place gets business.

The food was excellent, but the server made us quite uncomfortable. My husband tried to ask which sushi rolls were on special as advertised at the front door and he just immediately gave us attitude, “I don’t know, there’s a lot of them, like the yum yum roll and a ton of others.”, while waiving his hands in the air, seemingly frustrated that we dared ask.
We put in our drink orders and everything was fine, then he came back to get our food orders. He asked if we were ready to order, then confrontationally says, “You want me to look up, left, right, whatever makes you happy?” It was just strange, almost as though my husband had accused him of looking at me, but we hadn’t said or done anything to warrant this odd comment/question prior to ordering. We ordered our food, which was great, then he eventually comes back to check on us and lets us know that we’re his last table. He brought the check, which we hadn’t asked for, but figured the last table comment was a hint that he wanted us to settle up, so we provided a card. It wasn’t until after my husband signed and filled out the gratuity that I noticed he had already added an auto gratuity to the bill, so he ended up getting double tip through sheisty means.

Took my Niece out for her 14th Birthday for dinner & show. I informed the Hostess, waiter, chef, & manager about it being her birthday, she was wearing birthday shirt.
During the hour they must have done half dozen or more birthday celebrations 🍾 for other tables if not more. But, never once came by to give my Niece the honor of her birthday, not even a dessert.
Additionally, there was zero show! [No egg spin, no shrimp toss, no hat trick, no mickey face, no dragon, fire tail, etc. All they did was an oil flash one time at the begging. However, at the end I asked about wheres the Habachi show and the chef said they were told not to do all that. But, he did a volcano for my Niece.
The food was good and his politeness to perform the volcano I left him a large tip. But, I was extremely disappointed the bill was just few dollars shy of $150 for me & two kids with no show.
There isn't any reason to attend a Habachi if the chefs aren't putting on a show. Let alone to rob guests of that much money for a meal with standards restaurant service.
Looks like Olive Garden and Red Lobster 🦞 will be getting the celebrations business from now on.

I’ve been eating here for many years. I can honestly say that this place has fallen off significantly especially during and after COVID. The proportions are a lot smaller than any other hibachi restaurant I’ve been to. The manager is very rude and gets upset if you ask for plastic silverware. The last time I was here I ordered filet mignon and chicken hibachi. The steak tasted old and was flavorless. As you can see none of the reviews have gotten a respond rather good or bad. This says alot about this restaurant. I don’t plan on returning to this restaurant the next time I have a craving for hibachi.

The atmosphere was great. Hibachi, and our cook was awesome! Food was good, I had the chicken and salmon with noodles, hard to mess that up. However they charged me $2 to NOT have vegetables with mine, and never told me that was the case, and then added a $15 gratuity for my party of 2, which I didn't notice, and I tipped $20 on top of that.. That's terrible service if you ask me.. I would not to back.. Much prefer Ichiban, or any other hibachi in Pittsburgh

This place added a 20 dollar extra tip after I cash tipped both the waiter and the cook. On top me already paying the included gratuity the already put on the check. I woke up the next day and saw the thought they deserved an extra 20$ on top of already including a tip.
Well never go again food is mid. Any hibachi joints can give h the same meal and not burn you on the bill. Me, my wife and two young kids my bill was like 150 at least. Before the extra 20 bucks the put on my card

Went on a date here. Came home with leftovers and continued to eat the rest with my daughter. Until I realized the salmon had thin strings coming from it. Mind you I wasn’t seeing it anywhere else on the salmon. Seen it in the middle so I broke the salmon down and found a parasite in it! Mind you again I had the Twin salmon teriyaki dinner and the other salmon didn’t have any issue AT ALL! As you can see I crushed the food but now ima have to be on the lookout for a parasite inside me and my 3 yr old daughter’s body! I’m disgusted with our country! The long thin looking thing is the PARASITE.

Server was very nice - honestly the only nice thing about the place. Atmosphere was pretty dark for the afternoon, and for $40 it was 100% not worth the price. Hibachi chicken was overcooked, fried rice tasted like it was seasoned with a ton of sesame oil and pepper and nothing else. Veggies were undercooked and hard. Only thing I enjoyed was the noodles, but they are an extra cost and you have to get an entree to get them. For how much it cost, I could get better quality food for less at Longhorn or P.F. Chang’s in the same shopping center. One and done for me.

Avoid sitting at a non-grill table. Our hibachi came as the most dried out, flavorless chicken cooked who knows how many hours ago and was barely warmed up to room temperature. Server came by just once towards the end of the meal, yet they automatically added gratuity as well. Worst $100 we've spent (for just 2 people) in a long, long time.

One of the worst experiences I’ve had at a restaurant. Let me start off by saying if it was busy I would understand but it was a quiet Tuesday evening.. even with having 3 different waitresses for 4 tables it took 10-15 minutes to receive our drinks after ordering (which were never refilled in the hour we were there). Finally the sushi comes out but not the other half of meal.. after waiting another 30 minutes for it to we couldn’t wait any longer. Obviously the issue lies with management but the service is beyond terrible.

Been here a few times and it was always very good. This time was a dud. Our server was great and attentive.
But it took nearly an hour to get 2 rolls. All of my wife's food came out long before my sushi. I dont know if someone called off or they are short staffed but it wasn't very good either.

So this place was pretty “meh”. Can only speak for the sushi portion as we don’t really bite on the hibachi gimmick. Food was okay, I would say it’s better than getting sushi at GetGo, but there are drastically better options in town. Place wasn’t that busy, server looked like they were on the struggle bus. Hate to say they were bad because I don’t know what their situation was, but they could’ve been more attentive.
Also watched the sushi guys ogle a table full of underage girls. Nothing like a side of pedophila to go with my tamago and spicy tuna. Management should probably address that, but hey it’s not my business how the place is ran.

Chef Cullen made this one of the best hibachi meals I have ever experienced. We had to wait for table for over an hour as the host said we were late (showed up at 5:32 for a 5:30 reservation). That caused some frustration with the whole group. Put that aside and Chef Cullen was the most polite, funny and talented hibachi chefs I have come across. He saved the night and didn’t even know it!

Probably should’ve taken it as a sign that there was no wait for dinner rush on a weekend. I asked if the vegetables had mushrooms in it, due to an allergy. No mushrooms in the vegetables but she served me a soup with mushrooms in it. I couldn’t ask for something else, because she didn’t come back, so my husband just ate it for me. Food was flavorless, waitress spent the entire meal “looking” for sugar packets for my tea, came back once during the entire meal.(there was no sugar, I got a water AFTER I was done eating) the food was absolutely flavorless. The fried rice was white. Neither my husband or I could finish our plate and we left hungry and went somewhere else for dinner.

This place was deteriorating. Nothing was very clean and everything felt sticky. The service was redeming except for at the bar where the bartender practically threw our drinks at us.
We got hibachi and everything just tasted "off" like we weren't sure what we were eating. My husband had the scallops and they were well over done and the yum yum sauce tasted like it had wasbi in it.
To top it off the gratuity is built in so it doesn't really matter if your service is good or not, you're automatically paying 20%. I would understand if we had a big party but there was only 4 of us. It would have been nice to know beforehand too.
Overall not a place I would go again.

The food was awful and somehow heavy despite being “Japanese” food. The tempura was made with a heavy batter and breadcrumbs. That is not how tempura is made! For reference, tempura batter is a mixture of water and rice flour (and some starches). It’s supposed to be light and airy. There was also no vegetable option for tempura: only tofu, meat, and other deep fried doughy foods. The sashimi was also terrible. Sashimi is supposed to be relatively thin sliced. This place just gives you thick hunks of fish. We didn’t sit at the hibachi tables so I can’t tell you if the chef’s were entertaining. The version they just bring to your table was pretty mediocre tasting and extremely over salted.
Our server never offered to refill our waters. She also forgot my wine and had to be reminded. She seemed pretty tired and overworked, so I’m not begrudging her. However, the service was not good. Overall, we will not be returning since the food was of low quality while the prices were high.

The waterfront location has gone up since the pandemic. It's a little pricey, but great food. Some of the times I have gone and the food was a little too salty, other times it was just right. The food was prepared well and cooked nicely. The salmon and chicken was yummy. Miso soup had a lot of flavor. It wasn't too salty like most Chinese food. I went here for dinner today and just sat at a regular table but got hibachi. The food was not very good compared to other hibachi restaurants in Pittsburgh, yet they charge the same more. The fried rice did not have any flavor, and the sauce they put on my salmon was barely warm and did not taste great. Overall, the food is not even close to worth the price. I was disappointed. They also automatically put a 20% tip on the bill even though it was just 5 people. I was going to give that anyway, but it just seemed very odd. Our waiter was very nice and attentive.

My kids have dubbed this place “No-Go-So.” it had been several years since we have eaten at this restaurant just due to their hours. We happened to be in the area right when they opened and… it was awful.
From the moment we opened the first of the double doors we were greeted by smell of rotten fish. We were concerned, but we thought maybe they had a delivery mishap or something that had spilled on the carpet? When we went inside, we could still smell the rotten fish odor mixed with the smell of soy sauce. We almost left then, but we were greeted and seated rather quickly in the area by the sushi. From there, things got worse, we waited at the table for at least five minutes before the host brought over a group who had just walked to be seated in the area. The waiter, then proceeded to almost make a show of not coming over to our table. It was so weird. It was like he was making a show of ignoring us; doing things like leaning on the back/side of our chair with his back turned to us the entire time like we didn’t exist, turning his body the long way around to avoid facing us…
I know this must sound strange, but honestly, we would have just thought that the waiter picked the table to start with a bit out of order (which is not a big deal. Happens all the time when the waiter doesn’t see who was seated when how could they know?)
If this waiter wasn’t making such a show of it, we would have thought nothing of it. It was so odd, he did this all while being very frat boy style boisterous with the other table. (I don’t think he knew them though.) During this time, the host brought over another table to be seated. The waiter eventually took the chosen table’s drink order and attempted to leave quickly… but the just seated, third table of young women called him over. He said something offhandedly flirty to them in response, but continued on his way. It was super awkward. The women definitely didn’t appear to take that well. We thought when he came back he would at least take our drink order but it took him 10 minutes to bring the first chosen table’s drinks back and started talking food with them. At this point, we were watching the clock because we had somewhere to be. He finished with the table seated next to us, turned dramatically away from our table, and went over to the table of women. He took their drink order and left. At that point we were 20-25 minutes in. We decided that the smell, the lack of service, combined with the disgusting state of their bathroom (which two of our group used when we first got there) were more than enough to leave. We didn’t put a show on about leaving or anything. We just got up and left quietly.

If you like hibachi, do not eat here. Went with my partner for a good meal and that is absolutely not what we received. We sat at the regular tables and not the hibachi tables, and arrived around 5pm and there was hardly anyone in the place. The server was initially attentive in getting us our drinks but then disappeared for a good 20 minutes. Another server took our order after overhearing our conversation regarding that. The food arrived very quickly, I assume because it was made for someone else and had been sitting in the kitchen for a while as the entire hibachi plate was cold. The sushi was subpar. The sauce dishes arrived dirty and tainted with an unknown substance. All this was rectified, but only after flagging down another server. When paying out, our check was rung out as a different order (which was cheaper than what we had ordered) and then had to be voided and charged again for the correct amount only after bringing it to the attention of the wait staff. When asking for a manager none was apparently available to make any of this right. Will never return here.

Went to the bar til my other guest arrived, ordered a drink after waiting 15 minutes to even be acknowledged. Ordered the watermelon ball martini no watermelon favor what's so ever just tasted like plan alcohol.
Sat down at the hibachi table, food was not as good as it used to be no flavor in the food but tons of grease.yumyum sauce does not taste like it used to, teriyaki sauce has no flavor. This place has gone down hill over the years, won't be having their hibachi anymore. The soup is different as well.

I went to this restaurant this evening and the food was HORRIBLE!!! It tasted like the grill was not cleaned and my food tasted like burnt grease. I ordered a Mojito and they had no mint. The food was tasteless!! I spoke with the owner and all she said was, my food will be cooked different next time. I told her several times I did not plan on returning, but she kept saying things will be different the next time. My check was over $50.00, and I couldn’t eat the food. My recommendation, this is NOT the place you want for Hibachi..🤮

The food was good and the chef was all right. But the server he was told at least four times by two different people that there were two birthdays at our table did not come and sing to us. And I'm still waiting for my take out cup. If you don't have one, just tell the person. Happy New Year!

me in with friends for a weeknight dinner… They have seating at their teppanyaki style grills as well as regular booths where you can get items cooked brought to you, just without the show.
The menu is ok, nothing spectacular, just the typical items for this sort of Japanese restaurant. Our server was decent. The food was just ok… the beef was dry and overcooked. There was hardly any Japanese flavors to the meats. The salad dressing was pretty good though.

The food is so much better than I remember. I have enough for 2 more meals. If you walk out of there hungry you have problems!

Every thing was great until the check came. On the menu it said 6 or more per table would automatically add a 20%. Which was fine. We had 3 people at our table. My check was for two, and was charged a 15 dollar tip. As a rule I always tip 20%. My only issue is that I feel the tip was only triggered because we were black. It just left a bad taste in my mouth. Not too mention, the person who made our food was already given a nice tip.

The cooks service was imma immaculate but the server has not so good. Saw the server one time out of my whole hibachi experience, and still had to pay the over the 20% gratuity fee. We had also called ahead to ensure they still did the birthday discount, but when we got there the server said he couldn’t do it for us. Very disappointed. The only barely redeemable part was the cook.

Wife took me for me birthday, had the best time. Chef was funny, personable and best, cook food PERFECTLY!!! Liked the music, old school R & B, right up my alley.

Took the wife to dinner here before heading to the Improv. We had a couple rolls and sake. The rolls were delicious. The only real downside was the Tempura, which is a personal favorite of mine at Japanese restaurants. This was not done in traditional style. It was closer to beer battered bar food and not even good bar food.

Great service and friendly people

The host sat us with three other pairs of two, table was extremely crowded and uncomfortable. My waitress had the best service throughout the whole experience. The hibachi chef was a bit rude & disrespectful about how the customers wanted their food prepared. I got the hibachi steak and shrimp THE RICE WAS BLAND NO FLAVOR AT ALL, the vegetables had more flavor than my entire meal. The yum yum sauce did not taste like yum yum sauce at all, the whole experience was terrible for my first visit there. DO NOT RECOMMEND

Food was mediocre, service was average, prices were reasonable, drinks were worse than average (small pour) and they automatically added 22% gratuity for a table of 4.

9/16/23 three of us celebrated a birthday. Two of us had combo hibachi. I had only shrimp hibachi. I could not help but notice I received the same amount of shrimp as the others who had shrimp and chicken. The meals are priced similar. So I presumed I would have more shrimp than a combo. Not so. Not a generous amount of shrimp as stated on the menu. I will not order that again. Thank you.

I have always enjoyed the food/restaurant but they charged me an automatic $40 gratuity on a takeout order! Unheard of in my opinion. Called several times to speak with a manager (who was never available) and left name/number but manager never called back.

Our server Karyna gave excellent service. Bobby our chef was very entertaining and our food the best. After reading the reviews was a bit skeptical. Biggest concern about service and automatic gratuity added NOT TRUE. If you have a big party then they add a tip and so they should server's hourly wage is $2.86 an hour and yes they pay 15% of their sales to the IRS wether you tip or not. Most servers never see a paycheck so their tips are their pay.Iwas a server for 43 years. Be kind to them it is a HARD JOB.

My partner and I went there to have dinner tonight and everything started out great. Our server Lexi was amazing, took great care of us, and was incredibly apologetic when she realized she had forgotten a few things. We were seated with a group of three and all was going well until our Hibachi cook decided to start talking about politics and religion and everything in between which I personally believe is incredibly unprofessional. As a restaurant manager myself I always remind my staff that politics and religion in any way, shape or form are off the table. Suffice it to say that when I’m in public even at restaurants I know this is a risk and normally I can tune it out or change the topic. However this cook turned the topic to transgendered people and he proceeded to berate, belittle, demean, and disparage them to the group of three who were egging him on. He kept referring to them as “transmissions” as if anyone without an ounce of common sense wouldn’t be able to figure out what he was talking about. I won’t even get into the examples of some of things he was saying because they’re too inappropriate to post online. As a person who is not only a trans ally but someone who has three transgendered relatives and a transgendered brother in law all of whom I love dearly I must say how incredibly disappointed I am by this individual and this business who employs him. I spoke to the “manager” and she seemed to care but I don’t believe she cared enough to do anything about it. At the end of the day this behavior shouldn’t be tolerated in any workplace because you never know who may be listening. We will never return and we will tell our friends and family to never patronize this establishment.

Pros: Good food, good personality of the cook.
Cons: we ALL had empty drink cups with 1 water refill during dinner, automatic gratuity on all checks regardless of size, waitress practically yelled at us when I brought up the auto gratuity. Her service sucked from beginning to end and doesn’t deserve the gratuity.
As good as the meal was, we will never return here partly because of the built in gratuity, but mostly because the servers horrible attitude and lack of attention to the table.

Always a fun experience at Yokoso! Portions have decreased, and it’s certainly not the best hibachi in the area. With that said, it’s hard to complain about a hibachi restaurant in the first place! Definitely recommend if you are in the waterfront area. They also offer noodles now as well!

This was our first time here. Jamar was our cook. He made our experience wonderful. Not only was the food he prepared in front of us delicious, but He had us laughing the whole time while he was preparing our food. Our waitress was also awesome. She made sure we had everything we needed. For the money you get alot of food. Each of us brought back leftovers and the leftovers were just as delicious as it was when first prepared. We will most definitely be back.

Service was very slow in general even though there were few customers; also asked for a dish without sauce and it came with said sauce on it anyways. The food was way too overpriced for the sizes ($18 for a regular size roll). Asked for a dessert after eating, waitress said the restaurant didn't have any dessert even though it's on the menu. Overall not a great experience and will not be back.

This was one of my favorite restaurants for years, but my last visit has truly made me reconsider! The waitress we had, I believe her name was Charlie, completely ruined our entire experience for a family members' birthday celebration. We were all automatically charged a gratuity fee, which was automatically included on
everyones check. Meanwhile, we all agreed that the cook deserved it way more, so we literally had to tip double the cost just to give something to the person who actually did all the work! Not only did she make out with almost an one hundred dollar tip for our entire party, we didn't even receive the 15 dollar off birthday discount we literally asked her about when we arrived, because she did not properly inform us that 4 people had to be on one check, which mind you could of easily been arranged had she informed us, which her lack to do so ultimately only resulted in more gratuity for her! She even fished for an even greater tip by not bringing back anyone's change!!! Literally just assuming we were going to just let her keep it on top of the automatic gratuity precentage she was already receiving! Her exact words were oh you wanted to order change?" like what "order change to receive the change from my payment!!!! And this was coming from the waitress that poured water in my ginger ale as a refill smh. Just never make a reservation and don't celebrate your birthday here they literally only bang annoying drums and light a sparkler and can't even give the birthday person a piece of cake or desert after charging something upwards to 18% gratuity on each tab that is automatically added onto their already high priced food items and it goes to servers who talk their entire shift, and do nothing but pass out drinks they literally don't even refill for you on time, and the cooks are supposed to be tipped separately by you too!!! what a greedy money hungry establishment this has become. It's absolutely sickening!

Server was not pleasant or attentive. Forgot about our appetizer until the very end. Not accommodating. Definitely will not be back.

The meal cost $8.56, gave a $1 tip equaling $9.56, and my Apple card showed $10. It may not be a lot but just knowing that they do this illegally is terrible because they could have done more and get away with it multiple times to customers. This means they give their own tips and write their own tips in for you card. Beware of coming to this restaurant with your card and keep checking if you did because they will tip themselves however they please or to the nearest dollar. Will not come back now after this issue and reporting to both my card company and further if I can. This is the second Pittsburgh restaurant in the last year that overcharged their tip on my account (last one was $5). It's unfortunate that I have to worry about every restaurant now in Pittsburgh for overcharged tips.

Food is good - service is bad. I couldn’t get a refill of water because I couldn’t find my waitor. I also had to ask 3 different waitors/waitresses to get the check. Honestly thought they forgot I was there.
I will stick with Watami in West Mifflin. They have better prices and service.

If you're seeing this you have good tastes in figuring out why (at the time of this post) the average review for such a pricy restaurant is 4/5.
To begin it took a very whopping 23 minutes to even get water, I started counting by the time on the baseball game that was playing and when it turned off was when we even got a hello.
So 23 minutes of waiting, yay, thought the food would be quicker because the appetizers came out fairly normal time about 8 minutes there (31 total minutes so far).
Then the obligatory JDRF foundation commercial began, just keep in mind it's been 31 minutes so far. After the JDRF commercial ends it was another hour to get the maki platter I ordered at the time of making the appetizer order.
Total time elapsed just to spend 30 dollars for breathing in there: 2 hours and 5 minutes post being heavily displeased at the manager just to save on just the appetizer and not even the dish in question for the length of time we waited just to get exceptionally poor service.
I do not often go out of my way to write bad reviews, I write for the exemplary and on this day it was extremely horrible. I didn't even use the bathroom there because the place was not even deserving of my urine let alone the 26.97 I spent

Tell me if this sounds like a $30 experience. The host did not greet us when we walked in, it took twenty minutes to get WATER, it took forty five minutes for me to get a mediocre salmon filet and less scallops then I’ve had from takeout Chinese, my friend waited over an hour for sushi. They discounted him $7. They did not discount me anything. I am actively going to tell people not to come here.

The manager was horrible the way she brush us off was so unprofessional all cause we stated the waiter customer service was horrible..the cook was great but the waiter service we wanted to take the gratuity off because we tip the cook in cash and we wasn't trying to give the waiter a tip. He forgot about us because we were in the back.

I really don’t like how they cook everyone food the same they don’t divide the food equally and it’s really sad because this is really my favorite place but after today I think I’m be done and the manager didn’t handle this situation at all what a way to get customers to come back when your spending money

Came in on a Thursday night at 8pm after a 3 hour drive from Baltimore. So to say we were hungry was an understatement. Was immediately waited on then 20, 30, then 45 mins passed without food. Turns out there was a mix up. It happens but since it after 9pm (they close at 9pm), we ate in the near dark and still had to pay a $78 plus tip bill! Some money off for the mistake would have gone a long way for me (not a lot. At least $10) The yakisoba noodles were really good. The sushi was bland and wet, since they had to rush. Would not go back.

This is my peecetion. Amazing bartender and chef who helped my young niece feel special. Great time then I was highly disturbed by watching how the owner/manager treated an employee who was going to take a picture of us. I wish I would have said something and pulled the camera out as that may have made her think. You should never grab a person's arm and pull them aside in a not so friendly manner behind the wall (which I presume she may have been reprimanded ro do what she wanted her to do, which i get...its rhe treatment). I apologized to the employee.
As employer not acceptable. This employee was amazing wirh my niece

Food was okay but the service was ridiculous. A guy came over and took our plates away after we are done with the appetizer. Then the waiter came to us and asked us if we want to split the bill. BUT we didn’t have the entrees yet. Then he messed up with my chicken and served scallops instead. Ridiculously unprofessional and rude. Very bad experience and the food are coming out so SLOW.

My daughter brought me here for Mother’s Day. This is one of my son’s favorite restaurants. My daughter called months ago to set a reservation. She was told she couldn’t make one and that it was a first comes first serve bases. So on Mother’s Day we arrived at 3:30. We were the first people in line. The owner or manager “Kim” came out and was very rude! Started to argue back and forth with us that we needed a reservation. After several mins of this she finally let us sit to eat and was upset because my daughter was still in her car waiting. Once we were seated everyone seemed extremely rude to us besides our waiter. She was AMAZING!!! After 45 mins of being seated “Kim” came over and stated we were being too loud and everyone in the restaurant was complaining. The place was a packed! Of course we were talking loudly so we can hear each other. We didn’t get a chance to even eat or drink the things we requested. Kim came running over with our bill after we complained that we were not satisfied with our food or how she’s been treating us. We never really ate! I left a full
Glass of my Long Island. It was such a waste of time and money. This manager or owner is by far the worst! My family will not be back after years of always coming here this place is going down hill.

I think the place has really gone downhill over the last couple of years. We used to go here often. Now we feel the sushi is meh (it was always okay for the price before) and the hibachi was super salty, the last time we went as a large party.
