I’ve been here a few times and it’s hit or miss. Some dishes are okay and others are not. The fish cake udon is mediocre at best. The raw fish sushi is a bit old and anemic. The fried rolls are big. They have a small Korean selection and the Kimchi was disappointing. Service is attentive and nice but we did have an issue with ordering a large beer and getting a small. Had to correct the bill at the end and it was a whole thing to show the server they served us 12 oz and not a large 22 oz.

If you are the king of time and there are nothing you need to do, please stop by to eat here. You have to try the hardest to get the waiter’s attention and order the food. We arrived at the restaurant at 7:30 and it was half an hour later when the waiter came to order our food even though we sat there and called them over many times but they all ignored us. And once the dishes were ordered, it took 45 minutes for them to bring the first dish. It was a plate of sushi and it was completely cold, they didn't even give us soy sauce. At that time, there were only a few customers left in the restaurant, but the staff made us wait, while other tables were being served dishes continuously. And our next dishes were brought out but they were all cold, I'm sure these dishes were done a long time ago but the waiters ignored it and didn't bring it to us. When it was time to pay and I asked them for a box to pack to take home, the Asian woman waiter once again ignored me and just brought the boxes to other tables. Because we were so angry, we got up and left without bringing back the leftover food.
The taste of the dishes, in my opinion, is only 5/10, and the customers service is -10000000/10 :) This is the first time I have eaten at this restaurant, and there will never be a second time.

Came here tonight, last minute, for a late dinner with my wife. Pleasantly surprised, highly recommend. They have an amazing menu and everything we had was delicious. Some folks say the miso soup was bland, but we had ours with some spicy mustard and all of the flavors were balanced. Can't go wrong...
We ordered (pictured):
Miso soup
Egg rolls
Shogun roll
Crunch roll
Bushido roll
Salmon Crown roll

The first time I came here (more than a year ago), everything was amazing! Service was fast and friendly, sushi was so fresh and delicious.
We ordered takeout this week, on a Tuesday night, and the experience wasn't as great. When we called in the order, they hung up right after we confirmed our order. 👀 The fried crab in our Black Widow roll was buuuurnt, it tasted really dry and bitter. I hope it was just a bad night, if I eat there again and it's different I'll update my review!!

Food was so - so. Worth the happy hour price. Sushi menu was a lot of repeat of itself with slight variations. Waitress was inattentive and then when she brought the wrong thing (due to her not communicating my food allergy to the kitchen) the management tried to make us pay.
They said it was safe. Maybe it was. They didn't have proof and we were turned off at that point by service from all.

Quite possibly one of the worst dining experiences I have had in my life. Took at least an hour to receive any food when it wasn’t even very busy. The sushi itself was very fishy to the point of not eating half the food. Super disappointed and would not recommend dining here.

Really good sushi place. Happy hour was great with the California rolls and $1 sake shots. Atmosphere was great, along with the food. Great location downtown, so it's a good place to go to after a long day out on the town. The interior decoration stands out as being a little chique but it fits the attitude of the rest of Eugene.

I absolutely LOVE this sushi restaurant. It's high quality sushi that is enjoyable with every bite. Ever since I've come here it's the best in my opinion and I've been to japan. Please give this play a try and if you like it a good review. 10/10❤️

just excited to try a new sushi place we havent tried, (we- me and my mom). We walked in, were told to choose our seating, sat down. Waited about 10 mins for someone to come up and ask if we ordered yet, no.. So we ordered all our food, got our drinks. I wanted to ask for a straw but the waitress was gone by the time I went to open my mouth after she set the drinks down, (this is re-ocurring). from then on it took about 15-20 min for tori karaage app. I had to ask for a straw then, since they did not come and stop at our table once in that whole 20 mins. Tasted wet? The meat was rubbery, not sure how to explain. Texture was like eating squid, when tori karaage is chicken. Took about 20 more mins for my mom to get her yakisoba, then shortly after my dragon roll and her seoul rolls came.. all on the same plate. Which was already kind of odd, but fine. Her rolls were fine, she said her yakisoba was great. My dragon roll, (my own fault for not translating the word on the menu for fish roe) had fish roe on it. I cannot eat fish roe, I instantly throwup if I taste it whatsoever. I wiped it off, then i came to realise the sushi was BIG AS HELL. I asked the waitress if they couldnt cut it, her exact words "not at this point, but I can bring you a butter knife?" Usually its bite sized, but I quite literally had to bite it in half and by then the other half ends up a mess on the plate... She said "Yeah, you have to ask for thinly sliced :)" and my instant reaction was "thats weird." and she just stared at me like i was crazy. Ive had authentic sushi, sushi from all over the US, bcus ive lived all over.. Never have I had to ask for it to be thinly sliced... I feel like its something that needs to be said before ordering at all. So anyway, she brings me a butter knife... Knowing damn well a butter knife isnt going to slice through the sushi let alone even seaweed. We talked to what I assume was the owners wife, and when it came down to it.. She told me "oh but its very popular you should try it :)" about the fish roe... I have tried forcing myself to eat fish roe atleast 10x, just cannot do it. Theirs was also insanely liquidy and tasted like straight chemicals. So, I ended up eating .5/6 of my rolls, and they didnt comp it. Ended up paying about 56$ total 0 tip. Waited 30 mins for food when it wasnt very busy with 3 waitresses. Tbh, theres much better elsewhere, wont be coming back. Very unfortunate, had to stop and get food elsewhere. This was around 8:30-9pm.

Pretty good food. A little on the pricier side, but that's expected due to the quality. Interesting dishes, both Japanese and Korean.

stopped in here randomly after a movie and was impressed beyond words. Rolls were delicious, fairly priced and HUGE. You will not leave hungry or have to break the bank. Drinks delicious and strong. Ambiance was super fun and perfect for a Saturday night downtown. Most people complaining here are a bunch of babies and are the same people who cry about everything that makes this town awesome. This restaurant deserves waaaay more stars and way more business. Eugene is lucky to have a restaurant like Sushi Seoul and I will be back <3

My husband and I went here yesterday evening, didn’t know this place existed and stumbled upon it while walking. Very relaxed setting, server was very nice. Food was great and came quickly. I got the Chicken Katsu Ramen *spicy and a spicy tuna roll! It was delicious! It was our anniversary and we are happy we found this spot. We will be back!

If i could give zero stars I would. The server was nice but when we asked for our food cooked they didn’t do what we asked and then when we asked for it to be taken off the bill they didn’t even though we hadn’t eaten any of it. And they added a gratuity to our bill without us being 6 or more. Over all bad service from the servers.

I got the yellowtail bento box with the miso soup and salad. When I tell you they have the best yellowtail sashimi it is so buttery tender and not fishy AT ALL. Super flavorful fish perfect ratio of rice to fish. I’m pretty sure i also got a 5 piece of fried yellow tail too which was super good as well not fishy at all. What really got me was the miso soup absolutely class soup best miso i’ve had in oregon for sure. The salad was nice and crisp and fresh.

There are so many great reputable sushi spots here in Eugene and Springfield.
In my own opinion this is by far the best quality sushi and the environment has got to be the most unique and comforting.
The service is amazing, the restaurant is owned and run by the owners.
Take my advice and try the Oregon roll.
You will see that their ingredients are top shelf. A cut above the rest.

Can only recommend not buying any Japanese food from here the sunomono was just the complete wrong ratio with sauce and not close to what it should be— and everything was just off.

I went to Suchi Seoul with several friends and we had a great experience. The suchi was incredible, the best I have had since I left Japan several years ago.
The service was impeccable, Our chef and wait staff were friendly, offering great suggestions and attentive to our needs and wants. They also have several beers on tap.

First impressions are everything and Sushi Seoul impressed in spades.
Immediately upon walking through the front door we were greeted, welcomed with smiling faces, and straight away I noticed the cleanliness of the environment overall. I consider myself to be highly intuitive, and from the moment we arrived, the high+frequency vibrations were palpable. Noticeably present. The design/decor was all visually appealing, calming, and unique, too. Simply put; the VIBE was DOPE A* .
Additionally, our server was absolutely WORLD. CLASS. 💯 I do not throw that around lightly. Her appearance was flawless. She was refreshingly pleasant, kind, light-hearted and professional. She was genuinely interested in ensuring our experience was awesome. And she delivered ..in SPADES. Oh, and she also knew who Joyner Lucas was. Bonus points in my book.
At this point, Wifee and I are enjoying ourselves & chatting - already raving about the great time we're having and how we'll definitely be going back soon. I'm so pumped up about all of it, that I'm already texting the homies ..like;
[verbatum] "Bruh?! Sushi Seoul! Cant believe I haven't been here before. You? This place is fire 🔥 🔥 🔥"
Then, the grub comes out and it is PERFECT. The flavors. The preparation. The presentation. The quality. 10/10 across the board. For context, my wife usually steers clear of any Nigiri. BUT! Not this night. She actually suggested we add the Yellowtail Nigiri! 🤯 As you might suspect, she (WE!) loved it!
Last - on a different night, it's entirely possible that we would've getting loose on their $1 Shake Shots - and damn were they enticing. Since we weren't sippin', though I was super stoked to find out that they have their own HOUSE-MADE SODA! "Pineapple-Vanilla" and "Pomegranate-Ginger." We ordered one of each. And just like EVERYTHING ELSE on this AMAZING night at Sushi Seoul ..absolutely INCREDIBLE.
Sushi Seoul, FTW. 🙌 🍣 🙏
✌️ ❤️ 💯

Service was abysmal but pleasant. There were 3 tables seated when we walked in, and 7 people working, that we couls see, and it took a full 30 minutes before we could place a drink order. It 40 minutes for them to bus the dirty table next to us (gross).
The food was mediocre. The drinks expensive, and twice they brought us partial orders and then forgot to bring the rest. Considering the number of sushi restaurants in the area, we won't be going back to that one.

2 experiences!
1: Dinned in at night, food is ok, matches the price range for them! Somewhat loud and weird choice of music for a sushi place.
2. Delivery. Stood at the entrance at the check in table for 5+ mins and no service was provided. The server definitely saw and looked at me couple times but decided to continue serving food (which is fine) but then she went behind the bar counter and started wiping glass bottles and ignore me instead! Unacceptable customer service

I usually love this place! I eat here a lot. I ordered on door dash this time, got the Japanese salad with beef and they didn’t put any avocado on it. I called them to ask about it and they asked me to hold for a minute and then hung up. I’m very sad :(

check ur receipt!
they put drinks on it we didn't get
& would have paid had we not caught it.
(idk if it was just accident - i know some places do add things if they think customers won't notice-or to ^ bill (or ^ tip)
...plz call em out if it happens to u too!)
our server NEVER checked on us, literally ...not once.
walked right by us
even if we waved to him...never refilled our water, Asked if everything was okay...
We had to ask two or three times to get napkins
our 4 dishes came mixed up on 2 plates (rather than one persons order on a plate) & only tiny bit of ginger (we didn't bother asking the non existent server)
we were not given small dishes for dipping sushi in soy sauce
Actually, someone came and put an order down on our table that was a horse before we were served
All of this happened when the restaurant was not all that busy
i'd hate to see what its like they are busy
The table needs cleaned, with soap! hot water & soap
The food was mostly good
The with the sticky dirty table I just question the cleanliness so not sure if I want to eat there again

I used to heavily recommend sushi Seoul but not so much anymore. My vegetable tempura was still crunchy in the middle, the miso soup had an odd taste, and my ramen broth was incredibly sweet to the point where it was basically inedible. The katsu in my ramen was also completely saturated like it had been sitting in the broth for awhile before it was brought to the table. The food also came out at vastly different times for each member of our party so by the time some of us got our food the others were already done eating. If you go for sushi it's okay, but definitely not worth the price they charge. There are way better places in Eugene for sushi and Japanese food.

Food came out way too fast. Two rolls and shrimp tempura. Less than 10 minutes. The tempura was not fresh and had obviously been left sitting under a warming light. The “smoked salmon” in the McKenzie rolls was flaked canned salmon. Hardly any filling, mostly rice. And not even sushi grade rice.
Service was friendly, but the food is awful. Go to Sushi Pure instead.

AVOID. Ordered a Korean vegetable soup that was so bad we sent it back. Imagine top Ramen covered in Chef Boyardee spaghetti-o's. The owner then told me because I'm white that I don't know Korean food and couldn't order a replacement. I've eaten Korean all over the world. This place should be shut down.

Terribly rude. I ordered delivery and when it got here all of my sushi rolls were crammed into one box and the cold rolls were warm as they were smashed against the fried rolls.
When I called and asked if they would make the cold rolls for me again the woman said no, and that it was my fault I didn't ask for 2 boxes.

So we went today after wanting to try this place for a while. Needless to say I wish we would have waited longer. Lol it was a huge waste of money. We got 4/5 different rolls and Yaki noodles with teriyaki chicken. The sushi had almost ZERO fish. The sushi was wrapped so loose that you couldn’t even use chopsticks. I had to use my fingers. Service was super slow and nonexistent. The teriyaki chicken/noodles had no flavor! We will not be returning. If you want a complete subpar experience this is your place.

The place was cute and I really wanted to like it. The edamame was excessively salted (I like salt but this was beyond even my salt lover companion's liking). I got a bento and the tempura veggies were delicious but the shrimp was over fried and the "fresh tuna" was clearly not fresh. The nigiri rice was hard. My guest had a California roll with her bento but it was too much rice and too much mayo taste to the crab salad. My salad was fine. The miso soup was typical. Just sad that the main parts of the meal were so disappointing. :(
Visited 2 years ago
Horrible ownership and policies. Food is okay, not worth the hassle of service and billing. This is the second time they have increased the amount of people in our party to force a 20-25% gratuity. Which would be fine at a 5* restaurant or with good service/food. Not to mention we found out that the server is not even getting the full gratuity. Restaurant is unchanging and not giving 100% of the tip to the severs. That is bogus, please chose another restaurant with better ownership and better policies for their customers and workers!
Visited 2 years ago
They auto charged a gratuity tip based upon # of seated people, the tips don't even go to the server. Very scummy, ever server I've had here has been wonderful. It's heartbreaking to hear they do this.

Would highly recommend! Underrated wonderful spot. I have been to Sushi Soul several times to dine in and now take out in the last 2 years, I have never had a bad experience. The sushi is always consistent and very well priced, the service is wonderful for dine in and take out, and the drinks (Saké specially) are worth a happy hour trip to come try! The prices are insanely good.
Went before going to the Hult Center and it was a short easy walk. Got take out tonight for Christmas and it’s top notch.

We stopped in late night with a large party, so we were happy to be served and not expecting a gourmet meal. They were friendly and served us promptly, despite coming in an hour before closing. That said, the Ramen they served was the worst I've ever had- barely lukewarm, just noodles and broth with a katsu on top, no veggies. Others enjoyed their sushi, but everyone who got Ramen was sorely disappointed.

We went to Sushi Seoul for a day date. We had never been to the restaurant but were very pleased from the start. We sat at the Sushi Bar and chatted with the Sushi Chef Steve while he prepared out and others sushi. The service was phenomenal. We ordered some Spicy Edemame, Kalbi (Korean Short Ribs), a Spider Roll, a Caterpillar Roll, a Dragon Roll, and a California Roll. The sushi was fresh and tasted great. The Kalbi was hot off the grill tasty. I couldn’t have imagined a better experience for a lunch date with my wife. It was a 5 star experience all around.

Only reason I gave it a lower rating is they are unable to make an Irish Coffee. No big deal.
In the evening it is quiet, food is reasonable priced and service staff are friendly enough.
The atmosphere is a little bit this and that sporadic in design and the music choice didn't really fit the feel but again, the food was delicious.

Ive been to this place two times. Sushi itself is okay nothing special. My second time I ordered a ramen and korean Tteokbokki. The ramen broth had very little to no flavor. Not spicey even though it was claimed to be spicy. Noodles weren't impressive, almost thought they were ramen packaged noodles. the Tteokbokki was the more like soup with ricecakes for $14. I have had this dish many times before and I have never had it so runny and flavor was not there.

Ordered some ramen online and it took almost an hour to pick up, when they stated it was 25 min wait. Would not recommend the food or service.

Great food, great drinks and great service! They have a wonderful selection of sushi. And some of the best Ramen. Better ramen than Toshi's, for sure!

It's a rarity that I leave a negative review being a business owner myself. However the customer service we experienced this evening was unacceptable. Two of us came in 45 minutes before they close to grab a couple sushi rolls and we got turned away because they want to be out right at 11 when they close. There were plenty of people still sitting in there and we would have been respectful and left by 11. Afterall it doesn't take long to prepare and eat sushi. We know how it is when people come in last minute to our shop, but we are still happy to take them! I could understand if we came in 20 minutes before close, but 45 mins?! Needless to say, we won't be coming back.

If you like ramen and/or udon, this place is perfect! Outstanding broth and lots to pick from. Highly recommend

Friendly staff but plates weren’t clean, shrimp wasn’t cleaned, pieces were way too big, food overall was very mediocre. For the same price there is much better sushi around town

Pretty good food, lots of Dungeness crab items!

It's a really fun place to go. It has very unusual and creative art all around making for a special ambiance. The food is very good. Prices are very fair.

Food was gross. Just tasted off on 3 different rolls. Charged 30 dollars for two orders of uni. Should have know it was out of season but somehow they had it. Terrible.

Greta sushi, even better drinks. I love the location and it’s decorated so nice! I would eat the karage chicken if you’re trying this place, it’s DELICIOUS. Definitely dine im at least once just because of how nice it is

I ordered a crunch roll, 911 spicy tuna, and a Oregon roll. It was crispy and delicious. I could tell they used fresh tuna. I will order again!

This was the worst sushi I have ever had. I spent 24$ on 3 rolls and the best part was the spicy mayo. Almost 0 fish in these rolls, all rice. Would not recommend this place to anyone.

They are the BEST and no one can beat their services. What a power couple. So amazing and supportive. I Love eating here

We got two sushi rolls that were mostly rice. I ordered osam bulgogi and was informed that they were out of pork. I told them to just give me the burning chicken with cheese instead and was told that they were out of cheese. I said okay, forget the cheese part and just give me the burning chicken. However, I did not receive burning chicken, I was brought "osam bulgogi" with chicken instead of pork. This communication mix-up would have been okay, if it actually tasted like a bulgogi. There was no gochujang and no gochukaru involved in my "osam bulgogi". It was more of a teriyaki chicken with rubbery squid. To make matters worse, the kimchi that came with was room temperature. This experience was deceptive and gross.

We enjoyed our experience.
It can be such a gamble to find a good place to eat anymore.
We are happy we chose to eat here & will be back with family.
Every customer was greeted kindly upon entering.
Both employees on the floor checked on us in passing. Very kind. Not pushy or bothered in tone. Comfortable to talk to.
Good prices. Nice portions.
Nice cocktail! Not over poured but also not drowned down with juice.
Potstickers cooked perfectly.
Not burnt or soggy. Perfectly light & crunchy. Tasty filling.
My fiance had the Ton Katsu ramen.
I had the Ondeng Udon.
Both fully layered with great flavor.
We appreciate you being open.
Thank you for a positive experience.

A number of people have complained about the service, but we had a great server who was polite and responsive. Awesome Sushi and appetizers. We will be back!

The sushi really is just as good as anywhere else in town. Being that it's not Japanese run some of the flavors are not authentically Japanese hence the name Sushi Seoul I guess. They have potstickers that are deep fried I asked if they could possibly do them pan fried. They brought them to me deep fried and I said oh you couldn't do them pan fried and the response was that they could have steamed them or deep-fried them but they never did ask me which way I preferred. I do not like deep fried pot stickers. I would have either said forget it or I would have gotten them steamed. Also not sure why they serve it with what appears to be a tempura sauce. Potsticker should be served with a combination of soy sauce, chili oil, and rice wine vinegar. The karaage they should just call Korean fried Chicken because it is not karaage at all. The kimchi is very good. I think it would be best to do Korean appetizers, Chinese appetizers, Japanese appetizers, and do each one is authentically as possible instead of sort of calling them by the Japanese name and doing them wrong. I'm all for fusion of different cultures in the food but if you call it by the original name then it should be done the way it should be done. If you're going to do it differently then make up a new name for it. I'm really conflicted on the place in some ways. I just think the sushi is just as good as anywhere else. The rest of it I'm up in the air about.

I will never order from this place again. I ordered online a Beef Kento and a Spicy Pork Bulgogi and they told me it would take 1hour for the order to be ready. I went there 1hour after placing my order and the food was not ready yet. I sat there and waited for an additional hour before getting my food. The food was hella cold and did not taste right. I will never go back there again. You should not take orders if you can't make them on time. I feel like I wasted my money and my time.

Our server was good natured and worked with our questions and decision paralysis. My sushi roll was delicious, but the pieces were cut too big to comfortably eat. However, I feel like the amount of roll and taste were worth the price. I'll try asking them to cut it smaller next time and see what happens. The edemame had a PILE of salt on it, which was too much! The calamari serving was generous and tender.

Pay $13.50 for leftover sushi??? I got the dragon roll, a roll I get everywhere, a hot roll with shrimp tempura. They don’t tempura the shrimp fresh so its cold. Practically straight out the fridge! Server is nice, but did not check on us at all, like pulling teeth to get her to come over. They forgot soup twice. Just overall unsatisfied, won’t return.

We came in for lunch right when they opened on Sunday. Had quick service, friendly staff, and AMAZING chicken katsu and yakisoba noodles. Oh my gosh. I can't recommend the chicken katsu entree more, it was tender and juicy and had just the right amount of sauce. I went with my boyfriend and he's a pretty picky eater, but he LOVED the chicken katsu.

Worst sushi place in Eugene. Terrible customer service. Lady up front said they did fine in them didn’t let us eat. We got there at 5:45 and called before hand to make sure they did dine in. They said yes and that they where open tell 11. When we got there 3 mins after calling they said they couldn’t serve us.

My favorite sushi in town. Very fresh, excellent rice, and a cool atmosphere. They have a couple of my favorite rolls of all time. I've never had a bad roll(bland at worst), and their sides are excellent as well.

Love this place for the late night happy Hour menu. And the atmosphere is so amazing. Service is on the slow side but good food balances that out.
