We're open 7 days a week. Come find your new favorite today!
We visited on the weekend after our normal restaurant was closed. I had eaten at this location close to 10 years ago.
There was no indication this place is now a "buffet" style restaurant where they bring by trays of food and ask if you want some. We were just sat at a table with no menus and servers began stopping at the table with food.
We decided to go with the flow and see how it goes. The issue is that servers basically mumbled about the food options, as there multiple options on each tray. We sometimes asked 3-4 times for them to repeat or to clarify but again, more mumbling, not understandable.
The food we did try was good but not great. Lots and lots of varieties of shrimp cooked different ways.
The next issue is that no server stopped by to refill our drinks until we were ready to leave.
We put 6 items on our table and ate maybe half of it. I was shocked that our bill was just short of $60, wow.
I was not impressed and have no plans to visit again.

There was a black hair in the beef and broccoli, which was found after I had already started eating. Lost my appetite, boxed up what wasn't touching the hair. Flavor of the food was more plain than expected. Asked for steamed rice and they brought fried rice. Portions were good. Service was ok but they added 18% gratuity to the bill and then asked for a tip on top of that. I won't go back.

Honestly, so disappointed.
I wanted to give this place another try, as it’s one of the original in OKC.
I ordered Veg Chow Mein and a fried tofu app. Because I’m vegetarian.
I got home to a bland, wet, fried tofu app. No flavor, no effort.
I ordered chow mein, which I will willingly admit I’m not sure whether or not it SHOULD be served w glass noodles because some Chinese restaurants do, and some don’t, but… ngl I’m white. So, I ordered chow mein and asked whether or not it would come w noodles when I arrived. It didn’t. So, I asked for more crispy noodles.
Not only did I not get more crispy noodles, but when I got home, my chow mein had chicken in it. My vegetable chow mein had chicken in it.
There’s a reason your dining room is empty.
The fried rice had no vegetables, was dry, and flavorless.
The chow mein had meat when I requested vegetable.
The tofu was flavorless and, if anything, tasted like fried water.

The staggered service, with dishes arriving individually at our table of six, created an unusual dining experience. While this allowed for observation of fellow diners, the pacing detracted somewhat from the meal. However, the food quality was excellent, and the restaurant's atmosphere remains consistently enjoyable. Considering the holiday rush likely exceeded expectations, I will maintain a four-star rating.

Kind, friendly host & server … but worst Chinese food ever. Hot & sour soup tasted like canned aluminum. Lo mein seemed to have a quart of oil on it, and barely any veggies (I ordered veggie lo mein). Just some cabbage sprinkles. Awful, tasteless food. Noodles seems to be spaghetti too… disappointing & will never return. No flavor. My hunt for good quality Chinese food in OKC continues.

I ordered the egg drop soup and 2 egg rolls for lunch, to be delivered by grubhub because i couldnt get out. The egg drop soup tasted like I was eating straight oil. It was awful. I couldnt eat it no flavor or anything. The egg rolls were fine I guess, but I poured the sweet sauce on them. The sauce looked very thin, but it tasted like pure vinegar! It was terrible. My whole lunch went to waste. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone wanting decent Chinese food.

We went here on a very busy day so service took quite a while. The food came out randomly. But everything was hot and fresh and was delicious.

First time eating and last. Went there Friday around 4:30, only two other customers, that should have been our warning. Our server was attentive, but I do have to mention that I noticed some strange discoloration in his nails, please wear gloves when serving or take care of your hands…nail fungus is contagious!
Honestly, after seeing our appetizers, we should have left, but we were starving and wanted to give it a fair shot. Husband and I usually share our dishes and order two or three different entrees so we can try an array of things…but like I said after seeing our appetizers…we should have left.
Ordered a beef Lo Mein that was delicious with the exception of it being saturated in oil, so much so it was hard to hold with a fork, by the time we were done eating it there was a pool of oil on the plate. Not heart friendly at all. Ordered crab Rangoon that were dinky, and burned. Our kids had white rice, tiny portions of a dry rice were served, picture tiny icecream bowls. Ordered streamed dumplings that were overcooked, bland and its presentation was not appealing, picture what looked like steamed dog testicles.
Disappointed since people swear by it, the decor is nice but the food needs work. And I know one of the owners was there too…sad. A few days before we went to Golden Phoenix and it was a complete 180 of this disaster…delicious and the portions were much more generous…sorry but the comparison had to be made.

My Family was visiting OKC. We had appts. at OU. I ordered take-out from here. I ordered Egg Foo Yung, my favorite, with shrimp. The first couple of bites from the 3 pieces was very good. As I continued to eat I bite into more shrimp. Oh my, it was old with the taste that turned my stomach. I could not eat any more after that. I examined the other pieces. Sure enough other old shrimp. Than goodness I did not get sick from what I did eat.
Thank you

I’m going to make this as short as I can . I have never been so disappointed in Asian food/ restaurant before. I felt rushed by the waitress while looking at the menu(s). The menus had no to very little descriptions on it and when I asked a simple question as what’s the difference of the noodles on the “soup” menu was, she didn’t know and was not happy that I asked. I’ve mentioned quite a few times that we had never been there before and she kept coming back way too fast, after I repeated, “may we have a couple minutes?” Or “We are still looking.”, I felt EXTREMELY rushed. Especially since this place was DEAD. Being in the food/ service industry for 15 years I am extremely upset. The soup I’m assuming is supposed to be like a pho, I asked the waitress if it was like pho because my daughter was craving it (most of the pho restaurants we go to are closed on Mondays so we had to try something new) The waitress just starred at me after the pho question. To be honest I should have just gotten up and left, but I felt obligated because my daughter ordered a soda. So I asked for our order to be Togo since she brought us drinks (me a water and my daughter a soda) and asked the noodle question. As we were waiting for the Togo order, there were two dead fish that were in the “live fish” display tank that would be served to guests. Should have left then too. The table was extremely sticky and the silverware was very dirty. When my Togo order arrived of the meatball soup thing…. It was the most measly portion I have ever seen in my life. Especially for being $12. There were not any veggies except for a few strands of bean sprouts and some spring onions. There were three tiny meatballs cut in half and LESS THAN half a rice Togo container of rice noodles. And MAYBE a cup and a half of “broth”. It tasted like canned chicken broth you get at the store for 50 cents. Also for the Togo kids cup my daughter ordered was $3. So in total I spent almost $20 for what should have been $10…. If that… oh and the soda was flat and tasted like the soda lines haven’t been cleaned in years. Btw most Pho or Togo soups are about 5 times the amount. I took pictures but I cannot add them on here for some reason. My daughter who is a garbage disposal, wouldn't touch it after two bites. So this was a huge waste on money, time and gas. Very disappointing since it was in the Asian District.

Let me start by saying I rarely if ever leave reviews. But I came here on Monday night for dinner and The ONLY good thing about this place is service. Our server was a tall white guy who was very attentive and kind. Besides that this place is AWFUL!! Let's start with the food, I got the general tso's chicken which was rubbery and bland, not to mention taking over 15minutes being the only customers in the restaurant. Here is the real kicker though, the owners where sitting across the restaurant and had TWO DOGS running around, barking, sitting on the chairs and tables. how DISGUSTING, has the health department been here? How is this place considered an OKC classic is beyond me. Save your time and money and go across the street.
Wont be returning and WOULD NOT RECOMMOND!!

First time trying this place and very much disappointed. The food was blunt and didn’t taste good. We also ordered prime steak with black pepper sauce and the moment it came it smelled awful and had my doubts but still gave it a try, but food has gone bad and was tasting and smelling like rotten meat. All the food we ordered was very oily and I don’t think it’s healthy at all. Will not be coming back to this place for sure

How are they in business? Not a single thing was good. Picking it up it was cold cause it was just sitting on a table. Guy tells me they didn’t have the dessert I ordered so they replaced it without asking me.
Orange peel chicken was cold soggy and no flavor
Shrimp fried rice was gross, shrimp undercooked no seasoning and fried rice tasteless.
Sauce packages leaked everywhere
Crab rangoons looked like they were sat on. BIG WASTE OF MY MONEY 0 stars

Either many things have changed in the past few months, or those that left good reviews in the past had very low expectations. The interior of the restaurant is very pleasant and offers options for large parties. But the dim sum that we ate was just OK. What made our lunch very unpleasant was the fact that there was a language barrier with the servers. I truly love diversity, but I also expect, someone serving dim sum to understand the various dishes and be able to deliver the correct ones to us.
We have a large Asian group visiting next week and we asked to see dinner menus. In spite of the issues that we had had with our lunch, we had intended to come back and bring our family for dinner. But when we asked if the restaurant had fortune cookies, our server was totally confused and had to check with the unfriendly hostess. The hostess immediately rang up a charge of $.25 each for the cookies with no warning.
My wife has managed Chinese restaurants and she knows that these cookies come in boxes of hundreds for $30-$40. So each cookie is only pennies. We had just spent $60 on a lunch and the restaurant was so ungracious that they could not give us two 5 cent cookies as a courtesy. Not only did they lose a large dinner group next week, but we will take our business to the Phoenix.

My friends and I came here for breakfast. The receptionist and the waiters serving food were very attentive and polite, however I really didn't like the attitude of the little woman who served us water. When she saw us she seemed unhappy, I ordered hot tea and 2 cups, she said 1 cup of tea was 1 order. Omg, I've never heard of that in any restaurant... 1 pot of hot tea, 2 people but had to pay like ordering 2 pots of hot tea!!?? It's like ordering 1 plate of fried noodles, 2 bowls but forced to pay extra for the 2nd bowl equal to the price of 1 plate of noodles!?? It's so so crazy. I really think she was just trying to discriminate against customers.

Grand House is one of my favorite Asian food restaurants. Our group usually eat in South OKC or Moore, so it's a special trip when we go here and it's worth the trip! A great atmosphere and good staff always make this a good experience. I got the General Tso's Chicken and it's excellent here. I've been craving egg drop soup and theirs really hit the spot last night. The rest of the gang enjoyed their meals. All around good time here. Always a fun time with friends and great food!

The only reason I gave the service 3 stars is because it only takes one person to screw something up, in my case it was two ppl. The big Russian lady or whatever she is at the reception area was very rude. She never looked up at me, she snatched my ticket and my card from my hand and barely answered any question I asked.
Now, the servers were super nice except for a young Black guy who just showed up at the table with his tray of dim sum looking at me. He never said one word, so I had to tell him that I didn't know what was in his tray. Even then he was coy about it.
Everyone else was amazing. The food was good. My first dim sum, I can eat it again. I would suggest to have all staff treat paying customers with niceness not just some of them. That won't stop me from coming back though because most of the servers were super nice and friendly!

rated a 2 star because the guy that took my order was so sweet. Other than that only one of my items were ok. Everything else was gross and I wasted my money. So I called and asked for a refund and the young lady hung up in my face. I called back she answered again and said “ No manager is here, so I don’t know how to help you.” She had a horrible attitude, raised her voice a little bit.
After this experience I’m better off eating mall Chinese food.

A lot of people recommended this place so we gave it a try but ended up just "meh" for us.
Good things first: the shrimp lo mein was delicious, sauce had great flavor. Could have had a few more shrimps and veggies but the overall portions for take-out were large.
The not so great: the vegetable spring rolls were completely bland with no flavor at all, even after dipping it in the peanut sauce. The sesame chicken was very odd; they put all the sauce on the bottom so the chicken was just dry. Even after mixing everything together, there still wasn't enough sauce to coat everything. What was coated was heavily breaded and oily. The egg drop soup was okay but had thick chunks of gelatin in it meaning it wasn't mixed correctly. The crab Rangoon filling was good but there wasn't much in each rangoon and they were fried to an inch of their life.
Definitely not the worst food we've had, but probably won't be returning either.

I ordered, to go, the light sweet and sour chicken lunch today. When I arrived 15 minutes later my order was not ready. I finally got my order I took it back to my office to eat. I opened up the box to find only 4 small pieces of chicken, a spoon of noodles, a spoon of "fried rice" and one egg roll for 10.00. The 4 pieces of chicken were good, but the noodles had no flavor, the rice was bad and the egg roll smelled and tasted like a wet gym sock. I would rather go to Panda Express!

Jan 2024—I’m sorry that I will no no longer be eating here. I’m reminded of the Wall Street saying, “Bears and Bulls both can make money, but Hogs will not.”
Last time we ate there there the noon time stopped at either 2 or 3 PM, then you had to order from the dinner menu (with higher prices, of course). New (and possibly greedy) management maybe.
Original Review:
Had lunch special as I usually do here & it was good. Understandingly, the prices keep going up a $1 at a time.
However, they are now misrepresenting the Chicken Wings. You used to get two (which it says on the menu). Now they only give you one, bit it has been cut into 2 pieces.
Disappointed it approach the owners have taken.

A thief in the house. Good server but wasn’t expecting a 110% markup on beer. The Sapporo is $12. I understand food prices have gone up but man it’s gotten expensive for what you get. I’m on a budget and left a $5 tip for $50, including that $12 beer. The server apparently didn’t think I left enough and changed the receipt so he got a $21 tip. They were kind enough to refund my tip but be aware and double ck your card the next day.

I came to OKC to celebrate my birthday and was looking for a good Asian food restaurant, and I thought Grand House was the best choice. Although our server was very attentive and kind, I am disappointed in the food. I ordered the Pad Thai or as they call it “Path Thai” and I’m pretty sure they put ketchup in it. There were also raw onions and peppers in my dish, and I’m not so sure why since every pad Thai dish I’ve had has never had those in it. I also ordered the steamed dumplings for an appetizer and it was obvious they had been sitting in the back for a while. For the price of this food you’d think it would be gourmet, but ketchup in pad Thai absolutely is not. I threw my $15 meal in the trash because it just grossed me out so much. Save your money. To say I’m disappointed is an understatement.

It's so sad to see how far downhill Grand House has gone. I used to love going here. Tonight, a different story for sure. First, the guy serving us was absolutely terrible. I had to go to the front just to get the lemons for our waters, and my sister's wine. The wine still came AFTER our appetizers, how in the world a table gets their drinks after food, I will never know. The food was all very good still, thank goodness. I ordered the duck, like I always do, but this time it only came with the skin and buns. I ask my waiter where the soup and stir fry was, and he looked at me like a deer in headlights, and said "I'll get my manager". Well, then the manager comes out and tells me I was supposed to order the duck "Three ways". I have never in the 20 years I've been eating here ordered the "Duck Three Ways", I've ordered the "Beijing Duck" every time, and gotten the same dish. Well, ok, maybe I ordered it wrong, but as I explained I've never had to order it this way, the manager insists that ordered it wrong, and not once, not ever, asked if that was what I wanted to order, and fix the problem. I just simply ordered it wrong, and that was that. Absurd. $45, the most expensive dish in the menu, being duck??? I don't think so. The Chilean Sea Bass was $15 less expensive, and your telling me I get half a duck breast for that?
I wish, and hope, that this place will come back to its former glory..... It used to be such an icon. I hope this isn't the beginning of the end of Grand House.
The worst part, is that this was supposed to be a birthday celebration for me, and I thought "We should go to Grand House, there's nothing that could go wrong here." Sadly, I could have just gone to McDonald's, and the only difference would have been the price and the food.

So, they carry out trays of food to have you pick and choose what you would like. They weren’t real busy when we came in but they didn’t have many options for us to pick from.
If all you have ever had was Oklahoma dim sum, then it is “good”. But if you have had good dim sum elsewhere, you wouldn’t be satisfied.
Our bill was over $300 for 8 adults and 4 kids, but we left very unsatisfied.

Review went long sorry. 2 stars for nostalgia
It’s expensive, wait staff is troubled, don’t seem to have any ability to fix messups from the kitchen. One lied to my face that our egg fried rice was supposed to come with 2 undercooked sunny fried eggs on top that broke and poured translucent egg goop into the dish. Another occasion my guest ordered orange chicken and it was just chewy fried segments of skin. Now that’s cool for Szechuan, I’m down baby. But this girl was expecting hunan orange chicken at the very least Hawaiian style but fingers crossed for extra crispy bitter orange San Fran style. She did not want her platter of orange molasses tasting skin jerky. So after several arguments with ranking staff we left without eating or paying, fortunately the server playing pretend bartender couldn’t make a lychee martini so we never got those, on the 3rd attempt she told us she would not be making anymore and that was that. They chased us out of the dining room into the parking lot shouting thief! I threatened to call the cops and they could settle the dispute. They dispersed but my attempts to impress a date resulted in the 2007 version of being ghosted.
The food is inconsistent and when it is, it’s still weird. Like they showed the cook a picture of the food but never shared the recipe. And he’s long forgotten the details of the photo. They just make it their way. And I’ve eaten all kinds of intimidating at first foods in chinatowns like San Francisco, Vancouver, NY, and London. But the difference is it’s foreign and new and delicious. Not home brewed “are you sure you followed the directions?” because this tastes funny, food.
My relationship ended when it took 2 hours to get an unsatisfactory selection of dim sum w a group. The cripsy pork and duck I ordered: duck was burnt black and the hog had waayy too much hair and bristles left on the skin. How is that okay for your premium products? Are you reserving this trash for people who might not know better?
I go to golden phoenix now and use the window inside the grocery for all day errday dim sum. The buns and canton bbq are hot n ready, dumplings take a few minutes. Be warned the soup dumplings here are a novelty and come frozen in little foil trays that you can buy INSIDE the grocery. Get those at local noodle shops. Note the prices are the same as dine-in. But it’s fast, you can point at the duck you want through glass, then shop whatever while you wait. I usually get barbecue and a few dumplings and make fried rice o set to cook before I leave. It’s also the go to for the weekend 10:30am lazy Susan throwdown with friends now that fungs has given up on dim sum. I miss some fungs dishes but they do a good job here, use carts with tons of food on them, the young servers are top notch and ask/take notes on what you want so they can bring it straight to you when the kitchen serves it up. The old servers sneak eat soft shell crab off plates coming out of the kitchen and need to be flagged down violently like grand house. They seem to do fresh buns then steamed then fried in a rotation every 15mins. PLUS they serve the full menu so someone not keen on dumplings can 1 of over 100 dishes from mild to wild to omg what IS THAT?!. OR throw some stir fried noodles into the dim sum mix
I still eat at grand house when it’s insisted on or someone else is paying or it’s a special request. But I go safe and get a cheap noodle dish(soup is not safe)then eat my real dinner when I get home. Pretty sad grand house. You were very cool 20+ years ago and this + sushi Neko we’re the only hot new sexy Asian restaurants in town to impress guests and visitors who thought we only ate beans, beef, pecan pie, and rode horses. Well for the nostalgic, I’m happy to announce that NOTHING has changed (except the food and service and bar and parties, receptions, etc) not even the decades old carpet! No maintenance whatsoever in fact! They did lazily put up some annoying flashing light strands from the interwebs. Soo, yeah. I’ll shut up and stop complaining now.

First time trying Dim Sum. It was fun and unique, we have our own favorite meals but this gave us a chance to try new things. We had a full table and still stayed under $60 for two. Food continued to flow out of the kitchen and was hot and the servers were kind in explaining the dishes. My favorites were the dumplings, beef curry, and the different egg rolls.

It was exactly what we needed that day and was our first time, despite living in the area for years. The menus are physical instead of on your phone. It was calming and not crowded. The food was great and in good portion size.
Willing to go back in the future.

Worst dim sum. No carts. Instead one person walks around with a tray.

I feel like the photo speaks for itself - a black burnt roast duck. Called back to let them know and see what they say, was told to bring the BURNT DUCK back tomorrow and they will give us a new one. That's gotta be against some FDA law or something.
Either way, sad to see the quality of this renowned restaurant decline quite rapidly.

Taste quality has definitely gone down. I got the express lunch and didn't really enjoy any of it. And there was a hair on the side of my soup bowl.

SAVE YOUR MONEY!!! To say this dinner was disappointing, is a positive stretch. We ordered lobster dumplings and chicken egg foo young. It may be my taste buds but I absolutely did not like the dumplings. The egg foo young was awful too; the gravy was not like any I have ever gotten from any other Chinese restaurant and not in a good way. The fried rice, had absolutely no veggies or egg - it was sadly plain. The chicken in the egg foo young was obviously junk chicken. It was full of gristle and totally inedible! I have considered feeding the left overs to my dog, but am literally afraid they would choke on these "chicken pieces." The waitress was running her tail off, she seemed to be over sat while others were in slow motion, which made her very hard to talk with. I spoke with her about the chicken and showed her the problem. She made an offer to get me another egg foo young patty, which I certainly did not want. There was no other adjustment offered. I will not return - ever!

So if you want food swimming in too much soy sauce or just too much sauce period, that is the place. Service was good but terrible food

Place I wanted to go was closed so I decided to try here.... Mongolian Beef was boring and flavorless then got home and had food poisoning. Was sick for 2 days... will not be back

This place is a no go..if you get a dish inedible they will still make you pay. The staff talk trash. If I could give zero star I would. Be warned!! All you hear is my boss say no.. not even a switch for something else on the menu.. won’t recommend

Delicious food. Best hot and sour soup in OKC. The sesame chicken is divine. It’s better heated up as a leftover than most other restaurants served fresh.

Food was pretty good, if perhaps not strong enough in its flavoring. Service was adequate, no complaints. The building is quite spacious and well taken care of.

Solid place for dim sum. The service was very attentive and took good care of us. Dim sum is only available on the weekends, we made reservations in advance to help make sure our large table sat together. Plenty of typical dim sum dishes are served, though they didn't have the silken tofu with ginger syrup.

Came in on a rainy day for dim sum. We were seated quickly. Food was great but there is a lady (older looking) whom took our drink order. No smile and forgot our coffee order 3 times. What I do not like is the way she handle her employees. You do not yell and slam stuff on table to your employees in front of customers. I feel really sorry for the employees working under her.
