This place use to be great! I was very disappointed with the service me and my family received. We placed our order in and waited 45 minutes and our chef came strolling in with our food to cook. Mind you at this point we did not get our soup, salads, or appetizers. I spoke to the manager and he said sorry for that our kitchen got behind. I understand that places are shorthand, but the people across from us came in, got there salads and soup not long after placing the order with the manager. How does that make sense if the kitchen was behind 🤔 there chef Tyler was amazing and the food was on point.
The server we had was rude, lack of people skills. The customer service definitely needs improvement.

Wife and I went here for a date night (first time) Worst presentation pertaining to sushi I've ever experienced. The salad was piled with ginger dressing that was not pleasing to the eye or taste.The miso soup was held over from lunch, was very bland, and I don't believe to health code temperature at service (cold). The glass behind the whiskey display at bar had old splatter and needs cleaned. We received our spring rolls after the sushi in a to-go box and left them on the bar. We also did not eat the salad or the miso soup . Needless to say my wife and I did not order dinner. We paid for our drinks and left.The bartender was new and she was nice but that was probably the best thing about the restaurant that I can find something positive about during this dining out experience.

Just there will NEVER go again. Arrived at 6:30 asked several times what the delay was on our food after 8:00 pm spoke to the assistant manager which needs more training all he could do was say wait 7 more minutes. REALLY then brings the bill before food arrived. Asked him what kind of discount he gave us. Replies 15% LIKE REALLY that’s the best you can do. Didn’t even apologize for the delay. Just here’s your bill. It’s ashame he’s not a peoples person. Someone needs to look into this. Feel for the employees.

I recently visited Kobe's Steakhouse in Lawton, Oklahoma, for my 4th anniversary, and unfortunately, it was a letdown from the start. As soon as we walked in, the dark, outdated décor raised concerns about cleanliness. The seating area looked worn, like something out of a 70's movie, and didn't give a welcoming vibe.

Service was mediocre at best. The hibachi chef seemed rushed, showing little personality. He just went through the motions, while the chef at the next table was turning lights off and creating a fun experience. Unfortunately, we didn’t get that treatment.

The rice wasn’t fully cooked, which was disappointing, and to make matters worse, our waitress messed up the bills. Considering the high prices, this was my first and last visit. For what they charge, you'd be better off spending that money and making a trip to a different city where you’ll get better service and food quality.

Kobe’s in Lawton doesn't live up to its reputation. I can't understand how it's stayed open this long, but my family and I won’t be returning.

The food and service was great, but the energy was off, I cant really figure out why but i brought my little sister to eat, and i couldnt help but notice things were a little apprehensive and it seems to be directed towards the manager the white guy? Sorry to say it like that i do not mean to offend anyone but i am not aware of his name. He seems a little uptight to the workers. Although everything else was great and i commend the service my little sister and I received.

Hi my name is Jennifer, the food was good and the service pretty good, I liked it honestly. Me and my husband James Wilson are frequent customers at kudos we actually love kudos we come very often. My kids also love you guys food. Never really a problem with food or service, but we can’t help but notice every time the manager is there I think his name is nick or something alone that or similar to that name, yeah we notice how he treats his employees and it makes the atmosphere a little tense, he seems to be on some type of high horse or idk what’s going on but we notice how he approaches and interacts with his employees, that’s not a manager. We feel attitude or a little tension when he speaks to the employees mainly the female workers.. That’s not ok because we are very fond of kudos and I tell my daughters and children pay attention because they will be working soon, I hope it changes, if not we see a problem waiting to happen, I hope those girls and other employees get the recognition they deserve and handled in a matter of care and decency from their team leader. I hate to have to do this but again the service was great the food was pretty good but when we come and he’s there it’s like he’s controlling or reciprocates energy on the more aggressive or tense side. And my husband stated that if his kids or daughters were ever getting handled in an uncareful manner or a tension work space he would make sure that’s the last day a man ever acted like that towards them and it honestly makes me feel bad because I understand, I just really hope it doesn’t have to come to that and that he becomes a little nicer, have a nice day and once again we love kudos and we will be back soon! I know yall have to clean at the end of the night but this was unprofessional for while you were open it was only around 8:30-8:40. Other than that it was a good experience.

Came here for a date night with my girlfriend, we walked in and were sat immediately. Afterwards we were not helped or even brought water for 15 minutes, before we decided to just leave. They were not busy the only other table had already been served and they were eating. There were multiple employees standing around the bar talking and to each other.

Our server was amazing. Super heavy on the iodized salt. Something that blew my mind was the auto tip. Our server and cook would have gotten a massively larger tip than what they auto added. Very disappointed on that end.

Your server and hibachi cook lost a combined 75$ because they did that.

I have never complained about food before because I usually keep an open mind, but this was the absolute worst food I have ever eaten at kudos. Me and my boyfriend went for a date night since kudos is the nicest place to eat at in Lawton, and we just dined in, we didn’t go to hibachi. Our steak was purple even though we ordered it medium, the rice tasted like it was freezer burned. Our steak was cold and the vegetables looked like they got it straight out of the trash can. We paid $89 for some mediocre food. Kudos used to be good and lately it’s been mid or bad. I would’ve taken photos but I was so disappointed in what I just ate, that I just wanted to leave.

Appears run down- slow and sloppy service. Our last visit we were expecting a lot considering the prices of the menu. Not worth the prices however they do have good sushi- I would question the freshness- but it did taste good. I can't justify spending 12 dollars for two cut up jalapeño peppers with some sauce....Service was terrible and the added crying baby made it worse. I get it and commend doing what you got to do- but it is what it is. Our appetizers came out after our food- and only part of our order came out initially. The second part of our order came out about 10 minutes after the first part- and we had to remind the waitress about our appetizers. Overall not a good experience but again, the food tasted pretty good.

We went twice, once to the hibachi and once regular dining.
Hibachi does require a good amount of time sitting around before you can even be seated, we waited about 30-45 minutes. Then additional 20 minutes to get serviced. As a party of four we had to sit with another family, but this is average as they typically sit about 10-12 people. My girlfriend and I ordered the steak and chicken hibachi with fried rice and a fried California roll. I ordered extra meat as I like leftovers for lunch. Deep regret, there was so much food!! California roll never came. Our daughter and our friend got the hibachi chicken, no complaints. Was without water a good amount through dinner and the show.
Regular dining was without the friend this time. Same dishes, although I did NOT get extra this time. Still came with a good amount of food. Received our rolls this time, I cannot remember which roll my girlfriend ordered but it was also delicious! This waitress kept drinks filled and checked on us regularly.
Overall would definitely go again or even just get takeout! Food was delicious, the show with Chris was so much fun, loved the dad jokes!

Others seated after us got their food before us, 1 even had the same order as us. Only 1 waitress was remotely helpful, main waitress was almost nonexistent. Went to eat for Mother’s Day (have been here before and it wasn’t horrible) and waited about 10 minutes for a NORMAL TABLE because hibachi was 1-1.5 hour wait. Sat and got greeted in probably 5-8 minutes. All downhill from there. For drinks and order in. Took roughly 20 minutes for soup/salad. About 30 for sushi and OVER 2 HOURS FOR TABLE HIBACHI!!!! I finally looked for the manage and told him we deserved to have our hibachi meals comp’d as we waited over 2 hours and the table next to us sat over 30 minutes after us, ate the SAME FOOD WE ORDERED, and left and we still waited another 30 AFTER they left to even get our food. Manager would not look me in the eye and told me there was no one above him there so most he could do was give it at 50% off. I told him to take my hibachi plate back because it was ABSOLUTELY ridiculous and my 2 little children were going stir crazy and he gladly took my plate back! I was SHOCKED! Currently awaiting a call back from Mr and Mrs Lee so I can discuss this matter further!!!

The overall dining experience was good. Our cook was outstanding and the food was good. However the creamy sauce that comes with the food is very watery. It’s nothing like how it use to be in the past couple of times have dined there before. Not sure if they are try to same money or something but the runny watery sauce is a NO GO especially for how much the food cost. I do recommend this place for the dining experience. However I don’t recommend the sauce.

I would swear this place used to be a strip club. That, or the owners wanted a strip club and ended up with a sushi restaurant. Seriously, the layout of this place makes absolutely no sense. There are weird, unused side rooms all over the place, and the black lighting is just *chef’s kiss*. Either way, the service was terrible, the food was mediocre at best, and the prices were way too high. Our waiter had to come back twice to get our order, and they forgot our appetizers until we reminded them after our sushi had already come out (and then our spring rolls came out cold and incredibly greasy). They didn’t give us any plates, napkins or soy sauce bowls, and when we did finally get them, they were dirty and had old food crusted all over them. Their fryer grease was obviously old and needed to be changed, because the roll we got with fried crawfish on it had black burnt specks all over the crawfish. The other roll we got had cream cheese in it that was still frozen. We never saw our waiter again after getting our food, they just disappeared, and it took a good half hour to get our check once we were done. Bartender was cool though, so they got that going for them. Maybe I’m spoiled from living in okc, but if this is the best Lawton has to offer, I feel bad for y’all.

We had been going here since it was Kobe and for some reason tonight was the absolute worst experience, food, and service ever. The wait for ordering and drinks was too long when the place was empty. We got soup, salad, and appetizers when the hibachi chef Erick came through. He had been our chef several times before but tonight, he was off his game, gave us no show, no fire, kept leaving the grill causing our food to burn. It was absolutely awful and the manager finally came by to hear our complaints 2 hours later, only to offer a 20% off. He finally asked what we wanted and we said he could keep our full plates of food and we are calling it even, without paying. We are not those type people but it was devastating to see our favorite place dwindle to such an awful place. Get it together kudo. Hate that we were such an inconvenience to you. Oh and the chef really bummed our kids by not doing the hibachi tricks. He told him patience, burnt an onion. And told us, ".. .don't die, deuces."

Food was expensive, wasn't atrocious, but meals *that were NOT meant to be raw* were raw or barely cooked which was a big problem. Servers were are talking in a corner not doing their job, while our server never checked in, served food in separate times (so half our party received food 20 minutes before the rest). Host and hostess were also actively displaying over the top PDA throughout the night. Definitely seems like the place used to be high quality.

Chefs would interact and ordering hibachi was a show. Lately, the hibachi is more of a noisy meat locker. This restaurant is mediocre at best especially for the price.

Seems like the slower they are the more horrible the experience. We ordered our food and I included one to go oder. We ordered numerous appetizers. Chef was great. Waitress seemed timid and inexperienced. When finished, we waited for the to go order. It was taking a long time and my friend though they heard we were supposed to go to the front cashier to pickup the order. I have always paid at the table but it was taking a very long time so I believe that was what was said. So I went to the front paid, with a better than average tip on top of the 10 I gave the chef. Waited...waited... then finally the waitress came out and said they haven't even started cooking it. I am waiting for it as I write this review. They said 10 minutes. We will see. Hostesses were polite. But I think the establishment has gone down hill over the years. Not sure I want to come back again.

We (party of 6) went to celebrate our niece's birthday. Started of good, we were sat down, and our server came to take our drink order, he was somewhat quiet, and you could barely hear him. We ordered 2 appetizers, then he took our orders. We told him we were here to celebrate our niece's birthday and he said you get fried ice-cream! He went to get drinks, the chief came out and mumbled hi, went over our order kind of and started cooking. We had to remind our server of our appetizers, he had "forgotten" them. The chief served our dinners cleaned up and left. We all looked at each other and wondered if that was it. Usually you get a small show, and I expected he would have done something since we had a birthday girl... you know toss a piece of shrimp or something. We got nothing... the other tables were entertained by their chief and clapped and had a good time. Then we reminded our server about the fried ice-cream... he "forgot" so he went back and got that. My sister-in-law had order a to go order, she asked him about it, he "forgot" to put it in, and the kitchen closed at 8 this was 8:30 when she asked when it would be ready. She talked to him about everything that went wrong, said he would go and talk to his general manager about it, at this point I doubt there was a "general manager". He came back and said he had told his GM about the issues we had, and he was told "OK". WTH is that supposed to mean? Anyway, this was me and my husband's first time there, I don't think we will be back. We don't mind paying for food, but our bill was over $100 and didn't have any drinks or desert...

You sit on top of each other when you're eating so somewhat hard to enjoy your food. If you have a big party they'll put another big party next to you if you just do a walk in.
The server was very disrespectful to my wife, child, and party with the things she said, "I hate you." She also rushed us ordering food and drinks without giving us a chance to enjoy each other's company and look over the menu.
There was food on the floor. However on a positive note, the food was good.

Visited Wichita and while we were at the National Treasures Museum, found that Kudos was within walking distance. Decided to pay them a visit. It was during off-peak hours. The whole family had ordering options from their menu. I'm writing this review a few weeks after the fact so I don't remember exactly what everyone ordered. There were 4 people in our party and I do remember ordering a bulgogi bento box and a sashimi combo. I can't recall what the other 2 people ordered. The prices were adequate as were the portions. Flavor and services were great.

I'm pretty sad to write this review...
My husband and I have been coming to this restaurant for over two years. It used to be our favorite spot. But over the last couple years, we've felt the quality in food and service has gone down further and further. Sushi not cold when served, nigiri falling a part, the shrimp in the hibachi having been changed from the big and blackened kind to the pre-shelled tail off, stir fry, cheap kind. Servers spilling our food on the table, carelessly packing our to go orders and letting the leftovers get smashed up to one side of the box... And the response my husband and I have been getting quite a bit lately has always been, "I'm sorry, she/he is new and we're training."
So check it out-- First, you shouldn't tell people that. Secondly, I know we all start somewhere in jobs and I'm generally a very patient person. But when will the accountability finally be there? Unfortunately, I think my husband and I had our last meal there for a while. I hope this place gets it together soon. I hate that this is where we are.

It was way to hot in the building and I sat in the sushi area not even a hibachi table where they do fires. My wife was sweating and I asked the manager to turn on the ac and she said it works fine when everyone is red in the face from hit staff and customers we won't be back thanks to how rude she was about it.

I ordered the steak and shrimp and I got rushed off the table faster than it took for me to receive the food. I loved this place don’t give me wrong but her service was horrendous. My friend and I went for hibachi. My chair fell apart before I could sit down and I stood there for an uncomfortable amount of time, holding the chair seat in my hand while the waitress took everybody’s drink order. Finally another customer traded chairs with me. We had a few questions which they ignored totally. After our plates were filled we had three or four bites before they handed us to-go containers which we had to put in our laps while we ate our dinner, then they immediately told everyone to pay. My poor friend, was shoulder to shoulder with other diners, the to-go container in her lap, and trying to dig through her purse to pay before she even got to finish her meal. It was the most bizarre server experience either of us have ever experienced. The food was fine.

They over charged me for my meal . so I went up there to confront them and they told me , oh I assumed you was paying for 3 people and I'm like no it was only two . Glad I looked over my recite and was able to get back what they charged me back onto my card.

Our waitress was sorry. She couldn't get right. The hibachi cook had a sense of humor and was skilled. The intimate setting of one chef per max of 8 patrons was a winning combo. The soup was served lukewarm,yuk!

Food was good. Pricey but not unreasonable. My pet peeve is being seated but had a long wait to be greeted. The lack of general floor management was noticeable. The service made the whole experience tense and unpleasant for my family and I. It was a packed night, got seated pretty quickly before the crowd but no server for over 10 mins…then of course, witnessing a table getting served after our table was seated was the nail on head. Had to grab someone at that point but when we finally got a server, she looked to be part of hibachi staff so she was absent for too long when we needed assistance like silver ware or refills. Won’t be coming back.

Highly recommended!! We went out for a family valentines date. Mike, our hibachi chef was awesome! He was great with the kids, very funny, and even kept all of the adults at the table laughing and having a great time! Mike cooked everything to perfection and I really wish we had some cash to give him a personal tip. Sorry Mike :(. All of the appetizers were delicious, calamari tempura and chicken takatori. Great atmosphere, great staff, great experience.

Took my wife for our anniversary. We arrived around 5:30. Wanted the full hibachi experience so we agreed to wait. Had just enough time to grab a drink at the bar. We were seated in 15 minutes. The grill side service was amazing. Pro tip- if you like it spicy, be prepared! Well worth the price!

On our most recent visit, we waited an hour, but it was worth it! The food was stupendous as always! We probably got the best server! She was very prompt and hilarious. I wish I could remember her name to ask for her again.
The chef lacked on his showmanship skips, but that didn't effect his food. If I hadn't been there before and seen better, I wouldn't have known any different!

It’s really not worth the price, a meal of $25 for one person you’d expect it to be delicious but after ordering the spicy beef it was only a disappointment: the meat was dry over cooked and there was even a hair in my food. I only give it 3 stars because the waitress was super awesome and took that off our tab, and my husband did enjoy his meal. Also the salad you’re serving is gross, it’s like a ranch soup.

Very disappointed. Too much rice, small portions of meats. Ordered 4 meals for takeout. Very dry meats and steak was well done when I ordered medium, so couldnt even eat it. Sushi was okay, but for the price , shouldve been amazing. Needless to say my Son's Birthday meal was awful. Will NEVER order from here again.

Atmosphere is pretty dark but most Hibachi places I've eaten at usually aren't well-lit. I think it's just the type of ambiance they stick to. Our waitress was great and our orders came out fairly quickly...for a Friday night, they weren't super busy. The whole family got sushi 🍣 and it was pretty good for this area. I'd say definitely worth a try at least once.

Never ordered Hibachi so cannot comment on that.

Felt like my waiter wasn't happy with having to do job. Small portions. I think im just use to North Carolina and the fact that the dinner meal leaves you with enough that you have left overs the next day but they also don't charge extra for fried rice instead of white. When you do hibachi everything is included.

Can't tell if there's racism at this hibachi restaurant or if the serving manager is just oblivious. But doing an Indian battle warcry for someones birthday, especially native, is super disrespectful. On top of this, while the food is good and the Chef Chris is really good at cooking his meats, the rest of the staff seem to be lacking. I don't know if I would blame it on them, they all seem super young. But it's a managers job to lead by example and if their example is doing an Indian warcry, I can imagine this place is going to be gone very soon. The lighting wasn't very good, it doesn't feel special when you can't see everything. Back when this place was Kobe's, I think it had a lot more charm. Whoever hired her should probably train her to be polite and not so loud either. Because if I was here for a family gathering or to eat a meal with my child who's about to go overseas, I would be mad if I was continuously interrupted by a yelling and overly loud server who also seems racist. So I can only imagine how mad those people were. Food seems to be really good though, that's a highlight. But really put a sour taste in my mouth with that Manager who does an Indian warcry. Probably won't be coming back for a good while.

If they were able to speed up the time it took to get your food (I think it's due to a lack of cooks) then I would rate them 5 stars. 100% recommend if you love Hibachi.

Watch your ticket. There was 6 of us together and they sat another couple with us. After checking out they added an 18% gratuity to our table. After questioning, the waiter he got really ugly about it. He took our order brought us a drink and refilled it once. I’m sorry, but that certainly doesn’t warrant an $18 tip. If you’re gonna seat 8 people to the table regardless of party size then I don’t understand why 18% gratuity would be added on. We were not informed of this and was offered to leave a tip in addition. Besides this the sushi was subpar; definitely mediocre. You could tell it wasn’t very fresh. I would give this place a lower rating but Chris, our hibachi chef, saved the experience. He is very engaging and knows how to cook. The steak was perfect, he cooked our veggies extra upon request, and was very fun to dine with. Kudos to Chris but not pleased with much anything else about this dining experience.

Definitely do not recommend this place. While their food is good, their staff is horrible. I've been going to Kudos for almost a decade and it wasn't until recently that their staff started being this bad. The kids working there are rude and treat you as if they are better than you in every way. If they make a mistake on your order or a charge, they will say it's your fault and not apologize. If you want to support a business whose staff is like this, be my guest. After a decade of being a very loyal customer, my family and I will never go back.

Only a few small issues (lack of refills, no pre-bussing of the table which was difficult with 3 young children, and broken highchair--poor girl had to search for one that wasn't!)
