Took my daughter here last night to celebrated being selected for the Franklin County Veterans Commission. The level of service from Rachel and their staff was unmatched. Can’t say enough about their customer service. They made us feel special! Thank you! Can’t beat the steak & lobster. Just wish the daughter would get would order something more than their burger. Which she loved. Mash potatoes are so creamy! Outstanding experience!

This is one of those restaurants you only go to during special occasions because it is VERY expensive. But you know what they say, you get what you pay for. It all starts with a long stairway leading you to an exquisite dining experience. For a place of this level, I’m surprised that they don’t have a cloakroom and I had to shove my wet umbrella under my seat. At other extremely high dining places, they have taken it and my jacket from me. Inside is beautifully decorated with chandeliers and drapery. The table service is very good, almost too good. You are unable to get through the menu yourself before the server recites the whole thing for you. I understand the appeal but personally, I like to digest the menu myself. The food is fantastic, you don’t want it to end. If you are there for a special occasion, they bring a dessert-tasting plate for free. The parking is terrible street parking, as you can imagine with it being downtown. I highly recommend this place for all your special occasions.

Oh my gosh! Can we discuss this over-the-top (in the best way possible) steakhouse? From the exceptional customer service right when you walk through the doors, to the awesome speak easy themed restaurant, to the uber professional waitstaff to the incredible food, I mean, I have absolutely no negatives. And can we talk about the desserts? I HIGHLY recommend the butter cake, it does not disappoint. I literally slobbered thinking about it. I wish I had remembered to snap photos of everything but I was too busy stuffing my face. I can’t wait to go back. Chef kisses and then some. We had reservations and I highly recommend them. This place is always packed so I am shocked at any negative feedback. This leads me to think that someone was having “buyer’s remorse” or looking for free because this place absolutely deliver on service, food quality and atmosphere.

This is a long overdue comment. Apologies. My ex fiancée and myself went here for our anniversary. We told them that it was our first time to visit and that we are spending our last anniversary as fiancée. Our server at that time was very attentive. I forgot her name but I remember how well she looked after us. From the mocktails to appetizers to our main. Food was excellent! We had crab cakes, steak and lobster. I get to try their wagyu flight as well and my oh my it was delicious! She also gave us a lovely presents for our dessert and added a really nice touch. Overall this experience was truly exceptional! We can’t wait to go back again. Maybe for our anniversary again but this time as husband and wife.

We celebrated our one-year anniversary dinner here last night, and it was an unforgettable experience. The food was absolutely exquisite; we both chose the Steak Collinsworth, and the sauce was so delicious that I’m determined to get the recipe! The staff truly went above and beyond with their warm hospitality, making us feel cherished throughout the evening. Since we don’t dine out often, it was a wonderful treat for us. To top it all off, they surprised us with a delightful anniversary dessert at the end of our meal. We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect way to celebrate our special day!

Everything was great! It is a classy place. The booth we sat in felt luxurious and comfortable. The room temperature was cozy, not cold like some restaurants. The music was the perfect volume and enjoyable. The lighting was just right, not too dark but not stark. The atmosphere of the place was perfect. The food and beverages were very good. I even got a reusable bag to take home my leftovers! I read a few reviews stating that some people of color felt they were purposely placed in the lower level, the speakeasy, of the restaurant. After reading this, as a person of color, I specifically requested the main dining room in my reservation to avoid disappointment. I was not going to let those reviews keep me from a wonderful dining experience. We were sat in a beautiful booth in the center of the room. Also, parking in the nearby garage was only $4 for 2 1/2 hrs!

I have been to Jeff Ruby's multiple times the last couple of years to celebrate birthdays, anniversary, and job promotions. Jeff Ruby's is at the top of my list when wanting to celebrate a big occasion in my life.

Service: Our most recent waiter Joe Meyers is the best waiter I have had the pleasure of having at a restaurant. He was extremely attentive, funny, friendly, and wonderful. He helped make my birthday dinner extra special. Thank you so much Joe!

Atmosphere: I love the aesthetic of Jeff Ruby's it is beautiful on the inside, with intricate detailing throughout the restaurant and every table we have sat at has been so comfortable.

Food: Jeff Ruby has never disappointed with food from anything we have ordered over the years. I love the fresh sushi rolls, and the steaks are always to die for, especially when topped with King Crab. The Boardwalk fries with the malt vinegar aioli has to be one of my favorite things on the menu, that aioli, is chefs kiss.

Every desert that I have had the pleasure of trying has been amazing, I highly recommend the Butter Pie, it is amazing.

However last night, we tried "Thee Stadium" Cake it was the coolest cake that I have ever had for my birthday, the presentation of it to the table was so cool, and great for Buckeye fans everywhere. The cake was perfectly balanced and perfect for chocolate peanut butter lovers!

Thank you Jeff Ruby's for always helping us celebrate big milestones and occasions in our life, we look forward to all of our visits.

ABBY WAS AWESOME! If I could give more than 5 stars for service, she would get it. Went there on NYE without a reservation knowing we would only get a seat at the bar if even that. As luck had it, Abby saw us waiting in the downstairs sitting area, attended to us even though she really didn’t have to and kept an eye out for seating to open up. Shortly after she served us her amazing dirty martini, she found a table for us and we had a fabulous meal. Thanks Abby! What a great way to start 2025.

My family and I absolutely love Jeff Ruby’s! We always have a fantastic experience. The food is consistently delicious and the wine list is impressive. But what truly sets the Columbus location of Jeff Ruby’s apart is the incredible staff. I very rarely write reviews, but Jeff Ruby’s deserves every bit of praise. I have been coming here more consistently and every time, I am met with the same amazing staff, food, and atmosphere. It truly is an experience.

Our waiter, Patrick, is one of a kind. He’s patient and truly listens to make sure our food comes out the exact way we prefer. That means a lot, considering the pricing. Patrick and all of the staff are also very attentive, organized, and detailed. They truly make every visit a memorable experience and it shows.

My favorite dishes: Japanese A5 Ribeye, NY Strip, Baked Mac and Cheese, Herbstreit Roll, Butter Pie, and their homemade ice cream.

My last meal on earth would be here!

My wife and I joined a few friends for dinner. It’s so rare that hype lives up to reality but everytime we go to Jeff Rubys in Columbus, it does! Our server was tremendous and our food was absolutely exceptional. Everything cooked to perfection - even the med-rare vs med-rare with a push.

Nothing compares to the entire experience of dining at Jeff Ruby’s! I went with my family about a month ago and can’t wait to go back. Everyone was extremely friendly and professional and the food was fantastic. Our server, Patrick was awesome. Our waiter Tommy recommended some great appetizers for the table and the filet mignon was outstanding. He was extremely helpful, friendly and made our experience great. He did a great job. I will be asking for Tommy to be my waiter again next time I visit.

Took my daughter here last night to celebrated being selected for the Franklin County Veterans Commission. The level of service from Rachel and their staff was unmatched. Can’t say enough about their customer service. They made us feel special! Thank you! Can’t beat the steak & lobster. Just wish the daughter would get would order something more than their burger. My “Jeff Ruby experience” was waiting in the cold in the front of their restaurant during my designated pick up window for the meal kit. I called and left a lot of messages with both the restaurant and home office. I had to pay for parking while I waited. Even if the meal kit turns out to be good and not over priced Kroger steaks, the experience would still be terrible. Meal kit does not include instructions on how to prepare. Meal kit is over priced by about $115 compared to what you can buy in the store.

Additionally they posted a fake 5 star review to bury my review.

What an amazing dining experience. The host was welcoming, our server (young female) was professional and knowledgeable. I was there in business with a small group. The owners son or manager stopped by to say hello. And we even got a chat with the chef on our way out. Food was perfect. They huge filet was amazing, my partner had sushi and wagyu. What a treat! Jeff Ruby’s Columbus is truly an exceptional dining experience! From start to finish, everything was absolutely perfect. The A5 Wagyu was nothing short of extraordinary—an experience in itself. The Hamachi was spectacular, bursting with flavor, and the Brussels sprouts? Hands down the best I’ve ever had. To top it all off, the Butter Pie was simply to die for!

Man, having worked at this place in both the kitchen and the raw bar/ sushi,about 6 or 7 years back, i expected absolute perfection. Ordered a simple shrimp tempura roll, got rice and plain shrimp, no sauce, no veggies, no topper, no presentation. The roll wasn't cut uniform, it looked and tasted horrible. Oysters were shucked and destroyed, no presentation. Got sashimi over rice, fish was amazing, rice was overcooked and not kept well..

Steaks were overcooked and absolutely burnt to a crisp. They deep fry Brussel sprouts now, and oh boy, are they disgusting. The chef needs to remove these from the menu altogether. Also burnt and not edible. Mashed potatoes were not up to ruby standards.

We got sat downstairs also. Nearest to the kitchen door, my chair was bumped by servers and assistants 3 or 4 times. No apologies, our server didn't follow any steps of service. Felt like I was at texas roadhouse. They didn't give us bread service after ordering 300$ worth of food. Once we requested bread we were handed a basket and cold butter, with NO plates even on the table lol.

My 18$ old fashion had all the ingredients at the bottom, nothing but raw syrup and sugar on the bottom of the glass. Straight liqour on top. Couldn't taste vanilla or pear. Terrible drink.

Again, I've had and heard Mr Ruby himself destroy our kitchen for messing up a single table while I worked there. The pride is gone, the experience is only sub par, and somehow, they worsened the menu.

Bring back Chef Tom Mawer. Bring back the old sides, bring back the old cuts of steak....

For the kicker though. They made everything " right " by taking care of the check and so on. Except I purchased a 400$ gift card for my father for Christmas, and can't get a refund on the card, so I'm still out 400$

Lost cause, the Ruby of Old will have a place in my heart. But this new edition, can be forgotten.

Also, I reserved a high top in the bar, but they sat us downstairs also for whatever reason. We didn't meet the requirements to be seen upstairs i suppose in such a prime table....

Anthony’s knowledge of the menu was absolutely unmatched. He walked us through each section with enthusiasm, making personalized recommendations based on our preferences. He described the steaks with such detail—cut, and preparation—that we were excited before the dishes even arrived. His wine pairing suggestions were spot-on. . Even when we inquired about specific ingredients, they had immediate answers, showcasing a deep understanding of the restaurant’s offerings.

What impressed us most was the balance Anthony struck between attentiveness and giving us space to enjoy our meal. Our water and wine glasses were never empty, and our needs were always met without us having to ask. Anthony anticipated what we wanted before we could even say it—whether it was offering a fresh bottle of wine or suggesting a dessert option after noticing how much we savored the main course.

I have been to Jeff Ruby's multiple times the last couple of years and this place always delivers amazing food and best service of any restaurant!

Anthony Delianides was our waiter for a recent dinner and took care of our table. He recommended the best drink (house smoked old fashioned) and an amazing red wine to go with our steaks. Jeff Ruby's kitchen team made a delicious meal and Anthony's recommendations and attention to our table made that much better, thank you!

The Australian Wagyu Ribeye filet is one of the best steaks I have ever eaten, so tender and flavorful. Ask for a side of lobster mashed potatoes and the table will thank you for introducing them to this delicious side dish.

This place never disappoints, because of how good the food and service, I never go to any other steakhouse in Columbus.

Jeff Ruby's is definitely one of our favorites. Everything about this restaurant really is 5 Star. The food and service are top notch and the atmosphere is awesome. This place is absolutely amazing! Everything—literally everything is the best quality you can get. My family comes here every year for Christmas and we love it! Mike is an awesome server and is very knowledgeable. If you’re on the fence about which dessert to get—try the butter pie—it is phenomenal—10/10 recommend!

We had an exceptional dining experience at Jeff Ruby’s in Columbus! From start to finish, everything was impeccable. Our server, Thomas, was outstanding—attentive, personable, and ensured we were well taken care of throughout the evening.

The food was simply divine. We indulged in the Wagyu A5 and the Barrel Cut Filet, both cooked to absolute perfection—each bite was a testament to the culinary artistry of the kitchen. The Dover Sole was a showstopper, not just visually stunning but bursting with flavor. And the Pork Wings? An unexpected delight that added a perfect touch of creativity to the meal.

Went for our anniversary dinner, and left with food poisoning. A few hours after leaving the restaurant, nausea was followed by vomiting, sweating, and diarrhea. My husband ended up in the ER. He took a few days to recover. After Reached out to the restaurant, he was offered to come back to dine in (not sure why anyone would go back to a restaurant they got food poisoning at). He was also told corporate would reach out, it’s been almost 2 weeks nothing yet. Such a disappointing experience!

I was invited to Jeff Ruby’s for a Christmas dinner with a large group of people and the service, food, and environment was impeccable. Our servers Jack and Alysia were so kind, polite, and efficient. They were always making sure we had enough water and wine! Jack specifically helped me order my food and even suggested how the steak I ordered should be cooked to taste best! Overall it was an amazing experience and I look forward to coming back for future date nights, birthdays, holidays, etc. Thank you Jack, Alysia, and Jeff Ruby’s for a beautiful experience!

We decided to have our office Christmas party at Jeff Ruby’s this year and we will definitely be back each year now. At first, due to the size of our party, we were a little nervous that the serving and kitchen staff may not be able to handle the large volume of orders. But, our server Jack and Alysia were AWESOME. They got every food and drink right for us and answered any questions about the menus we had. The service and food was perfect, and we will be back for many more years to come!

We had an amazing time dining here for Christmas Eve dinner. The restaurant and live music was absolutely beautiful. My family and I went and Erin was our server and she was absolutely amazing. She was incredibly attentive and had such a warm and lovely demeanor. She made our experience worth the while, we will definitely be coming back because of her!
