We absolute love this place. We’ve gone during busy hours, we’ve gone when it was a bit slower, and each time we were seated quickly and service was amazing. Everyone that works there has been nothing but kind and attentive, and the foot is amazing. Coming from two people that work in food service (a server and a cook) we’re always impressed when we come in. I believe the server we had last time we were in was Chelsea? I’m hoping that’s the right name cause she was completely fantastic and we left talking about how great her service was. From the front of house to the back we have nothing but good things to say, food and drinks are outstanding and we love coming here :)

Me and my boyfriend came into here today for the first time and had an interesting experience. I’m in the service industry and I know how working in a restaurant is. Our server was honestly the worst I’ve ever had/ seen. It took her about a solid 15 minutes to get our drinks and there was a total of 6 parties in there. Which was fine, until we ordered and were waiting over 30 minutes for one sushi roll and ramen. I understand it gets busy but it seemed like she forgot to put our order in or something. We had a table get seated next to us 15 minutes into being there and their food was out and they were finished by the time we got our sushi. She was not very professional, she was not very welcoming and it felt like we were on the bottom of her to do list. She then laughed at us and told us she was going to get us forks, and then told us they were going through the dishwasher and it took about 10 minutes until we received it. Come to find out, the fork was still dirty and it honestly just grossed me out. The food was amazing, place was nice but the server definitely needs to put some more effort into it. Her name was Michelle I believe. I’m never the type of person to leave a review but this was overall just unacceptable and I’m not sure I will ever dine in again, terrible first experience. My experience at Slurping Turtle was nothing short of fantastic. The food was absolutely excellent. The Dragon Roll was a perfect blend of flavors and textures, offering a delicious kick with every bite. The Tonkotsu Ramen was rich and savory, with a broth very flavorful. Beyond the food, the service was also top-notch, with attentive staff who made the dining experience smooth and enjoyable. The ambiance added to the overall experience, making it a spot I would highly recommend to anyone craving expertly prepared Japanese cuisine.

What we see here is a display of incompetence- from the cheese on my rice cake to having the bathroom sinks in front if everybody. Nay, if only I could wash this atrocity from my memory. But until I can, I warn all weary readers. Stay away. Or else

Heed this warning! Though the name is enticing the food was anything but! I usually love restaurants but this one….
The food was so very bland and incredibly expensive for what it was. My friend had Parmesan cheese on her stir fry. We both were made nauseous. The service was good though.

We had a group of 9 visit on a Friday evening. We were able to get in after a 45 minute wait and enjoyed our time at Slurping Turtle. The food came out quick and the flavor was good.
You Should Try This Place If....
If you enjoy a lively environment with quality ramen this may be for you, as the food was enjoyable and the dining area was busy and active!
It May Not Be for You If....
If you are expecting American Asian food and don't like pho or ramen, there aren't many other options. Additionally, if you want a quiet or more intimate setting this may not be for you, as it is closer to a Condado's vibe than Northstar Cafe.
Overall:
If you enjoy ramen or pho you should definitely try it out! However, if you're looking for a larger variety of options or want a more intimate setting, then this may not be best for you.

We had the ramen and shrimp fried rice. The food wasn’t bad. They did charge me $2 for some hot sauce. Like come on stop nickel and diming your customers. PF Chang’s would never do that. They give you all the hot sauce you wanna try out.
Another observation the short guy going around cleaning off tables can use his manners a bit more. He’s just going around grabbing empty glasses/ plates off people’s tables. It would be nice if he asks if it’s okay to remove those items or asked to be excused before grabbing things off. I watched him do that to many customers. I find that to be very rude. Please don’t just approach my table and start grabbing things off. It makes people feel very uncomfortable and unwelcome.

Slurping turtle is delicious. I have never left disappointment. I've had the california poke bowl, tonkotsu and miso ramen. That fried chicken is so good in the soup. I brought a friend here from out of time and she really liked it! The place is super cute inside too. Be prepared for a wait on busier evenings, because people love this restaurant! Definitely check this place out!

I love the food here, prices are not bad and the flavor and quality is always consistent, but the service makes me question whether I should return. I usually sit at the bar and whenever Jenn the bartender is working I consider leaving and trying another time. Service is slow, conversation is really unprofessional, and if the food wasn’t so good I probably would stop coming. Girl I don’t want to hear how hungry you are, how you’re “trying to get out of here”, or how you can’t wait to get to the bar after work. I don’t care please make my drink.
I spend around $80 every time I come and I don’t expect a lot service wise, but I usually overhear conversations that the staff shouldnt be having in front of guests and feel rushed out every time. If the male bartender whose name I forget is working I will always stay for a good meal. Probably turning around and leaving next time I see Jenn. I hate leaving a negative review, but I’m just being honest.

Oh boy, this review is going to be rather disappointing as we had heard nothing but good things about the food. The front of house service, however, was unprofessional to say the least. Our hostess told us 10-15 mins for a table unless we sat at the bar. We chose the bar. Immediately afterwards the bald manager, sat a 2 top at a table. Kind of annoying but not a big deal miscommunication happens.
The manager proceeded to be exasperated with his staff in what did not appear to be an incredibly high volume night. Sitting by the pos next to us at the bar yelling directions to his staff. Leave your pos and have a conversation with them. Don’t show your guests you’re stressed and clearly pretty clueless.
Our bartender Jenifer was slow and very unprofessional. She proceeded through our meal to exclaim to other customers how she has had many deaths in her family recently including her dog. Not the most uplifting bar talk, especially in what I assume the owner wants to be a “higher end” establishment. She mentioned how she had also been sick that week.
She than exclaimed how a specific chef would sometimes not put the customer first and “double fry” shrimp if volume is too busy. She then proceeded to explain that the owner is “that” chef. Lady I got news for you, the owner makes the decisions they feel is best for their establishment.
This is a restaurant with prices around $20 for an entree mind you. That kind of energy is not what I want from a place where I am paying a premium. Btw Jenifer charged us improperly for our meal but we were over it and didn’t want to bother with the staff.
If I’m the owner I am considering completely restructuring whom I believe is best to help operate my business. The bao buns were solid, the ramen was fine albeit too salty for my taste. The foundation is there but man was the service bad.

I love coming here for a nice lunch/ dinner. The food is always super good. However, the seating is not comfortable at the high tables. I’m sure it’s supposed to follow a certain style, but something more comfortable than the wood would be nice. Other than that I 10/10 recommend.

Do not like the NY cafe style seating AT ALL. Not inclined to listen to the table next to me and squeeze into the seats. As most places at Easton, food is pricey. Expect to spend at least $100+ for a party of 4.

It was SUPER busy and the staff weren't the nicest, honestly I think everyone was just super overwhelmed. Unfortunately never got the food. The wait time was told between 30 to 45 minutes and after an hour with no food an no luck getting an answer othar than that they were busy, we left. It was a weekend close to the holidays so maybe I'll come by again another time.

I got the vegetarian potato & mushroom red curry ramen. It was like lethally SALTY. I had to chug water just to eat it.
Price is extremely high for what I got. The portions were very small for a $20 order.
The noodles were good in taste/texture, but they were obviously premade and sat for a long time. The hot broth did nothing to loosen them, they were clumped together in a big coil, even after stirring and mixing my bowl.
I have really bad buyers remorse. Do not recommend.

We reserved a table and they asked us to wait until our entire party arrived. Then, within one minute, they were snapping at us to quickly sit down. The server was fine, but they handed us our checks without asking for room for dessert. Then, the manager came over and spoke to us in a manner strongly implying he wanted us to get up from the table when two members of our party were using the restroom before we wanted to leave. Overall, the food was good, but the management was rude and rushed us throughout the whole experience.

This place is alright. The food quality is great, but the service was not. My party of 3 was seated at a small 2-top in a corner booth, which made it incredibly tight for all of us to sit. I had to angle my legs awkwardly around the edge of the booth so I would be kicking the other party sitting next to me.
We had requested to sit at one of the high-chair tables, which already had customers seated, but we were told that those seats were for customers who were just waiting. Within 5 minutes, we saw them get served their meal, so that area was absolutely able to accommodate our party--they just chose not to.
The service was not great the first time we had visited a year ago, so I was hoping this visit would change my opinion. Sadly, it has not.

Slurping Turtle in Easton is a fantastic spot if you’re craving some flavorful and unique Japanese food. From the moment you walk in, you’re welcomed by a warm and vibrant atmosphere that sets the tone for a memorable dining experience. The menu has a great selection of ramen, sushi, and small plates, and everything feels thoughtfully prepared and incredibly fresh. The ramen bowls are especially popular, with rich, savory broths and perfectly cooked noodles that hit the spot every time.
One of the best things about Slurping Turtle is the attention to detail in each dish. Whether it’s the beautiful presentation or the balanced, layered flavors, you can tell they put a lot of care into what they serve. The sushi is fresh and flavorful, with creative rolls that add something unique to the meal, and their small plates make it easy to try a little bit of everything if you’re dining with friends.
The staff is another highlight—always friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu. They’re happy to make recommendations if you’re not sure what to pick.
Overall, Slurping Turtle is a great choice for a cozy, satisfying meal. Whether you’re a ramen fan or just looking to try something new, this place is definitely worth a visit when you’re at Easton!

This place has been our favorite ramen spot for a few years now. Food has been great and the servers have been very nice and attentive; however on our recent visit, the manager was so rude and unprofessional. He made a mistake not closing the balcony on a windy day, yet sitting customers including us out there. When we asked our waitress if we could sit at a different table away from other people, he told her and us no with no explanation. When I asked to speak to him, he came out showering us with reasons why he should have closed the balcony in such a rude demeanor. That is not how you handle a situation/mistake you created to your customers professionally. It is such a shame that all the staff here are working so hard to maintain an awesome standard of customer service, except the manager himself!

Management must have read some of the poor reviews received recently because when we were there(party of 3), on 10/12 our experience was wonderful. Prompt seating, prompt & friendly service, great recommendations, extra napkins (without request) & beautifully presented delicious food. Portions are plentiful. Thank you for our marvelous experience. BTW, first timers & will come back. Thank you.

The service is atrocious, in some cases the food can overshadow this, but this is so poorly organized. I have come multiple times and the Manager seems to be clueless and just seems to chat with staff.
Horrible service, left before I could get the entree ordered. This is the third occurrence for your establishment. Unbelievable. Leaving hungry and extremely dissatisfied and disappointed.
Highly recommend going elsewhere

Once is an accident twice is a pattern. Horrid service, sat immediately and requested to move but the person who seated us told us we couldn’t because the table was dirty instead of offering to clean it. Requested coke and cherry coke. 10 minutes later a party of 6 was sat and we still didn’t even have a drink, our waiter immediately went to them took their drink order and brought it instantly meanwhile after 15 minutes at this point my party of 2 still had nothing. We got up and walked out and no one bothered to ask why we were leaving so soon after being seated. Proving once again that this location clearly only cares if you have a larger party. This is the second time encountering this. The first time we figured may have been a bad day but clearly it’s just a policy.

Had lunch on a Saturday here. My experience with service is very bad, food is decent. I sat at a table right in front of the cashier, and my server didn't bring me any napkins, so i have to ask for help from the cashier. She caught my eyes twice, and ignored me both times. She even tried to looked away, while she was literally 3 feet away. Doesnt even ask if I need help or if she can get me my waitress. There were about 5 waitresses walking around me and no one looked at me while I was trying to call them. Not pleasant with my experience at all.

Came on Monday and my group waited 20 minutes after being seated to have a server take our order despite the restaurant being empty. We'd wave towards servers who wouldn't even notice us and our server was just chatting with her co-workers the whole time. After ordering, it took another half hour for our food to come out. Food was great but to wait over half an hour for ramen is insane.

Let me start by saying the food was great but everything else was horrible. We went during lunch time last Saturday and the place was not busy to my suprise. My group of 7 was seated in the raised, center wood seating that had the bolted down tables and chairs that did not spin or move. Everyone at the table hated the seating. I am a big guy and assumed it was because i was a big guy that i was uncomfortable but the rest of my group was around the 160lbs size which is pretty small for a adult male and they all stated it was very uncomfortable. The seats almost felt like you was leaning forward. Since everything was bolted down and the seats had a fixed back rest you couldnt move it at all to adjust and get comfortable. No pads anywhere on these seats. It was so bad half of our group stood right after the meal and continued to stand till we got our checks and paid.
The service was horrible. We was there a total of 2 hours because the waitress asked us about appetizers right away but waited 45 minutes to ask us about our main dish orders. Then we was there another 45 minutes waiting on that. The waitress forgot our orders so instead of handing us our food she just gave it to the person at the end of the table and told him to pass it to whoever it needed to go to. No mirrors or sinks in the bathroom, you had to walk outside and use a open public mirror and sink. On top of all that its a rather pricey place. I thought the food was great but i dont feel like you can fail in every other category and expect a premium price for your dinning experience.
Edited looking at their recent reviews in the last month or so it looks like im not alone on my review regaurding the seating and the service.

This was second time at Slurping Turtle so obviously I didn't hate it the first time. My wife and I shared the Himachi Nachos and we each ordered a different Ramen. The Food tasted fine.
Problems occurred about an hour later as my wife said she needed to get home because she wasn't feeling well. 15 minutes later and I too was running for the bathroom.
I just called them to let them know and that we only shared the Himachi appetizer. The gentleman on the phone sounded remorseful, apologized, and said he would let the kitchen know. That was it. I guess i expected they would comp the meal considering they gave both my wife and I food poisoning.
While the food didn't taste bad I could never go back after what it did to us. I Figured I should leave a review so folks knew. Caveat Emptor - buyer beware.

The Slurping Turtle is the kind of place where the local tweens flock, seeking refuge from their parents in a 'hip' hangout that pulses with youthful energy. It's a modern sanctuary, buzzing with the chatter and laughter of the next generation, and it might make you feel a bit out of place if you’ve already seen a few decades pass by.
Despite the youthful crowd, the Slurping Turtle delivers on its promise of excellent ramen and sushi. The ramen is a masterclass in balance—rich, flavorful broth with perfectly cooked noodles and an array of toppings that add layers of complexity to each bite. The sushi, too, is top-notch, showcasing fresh ingredients and a delicate touch.
Yes, it’s on the pricier side. You might find yourself wincing slightly as you glance at the check, but the atmosphere and the opportunity for people-watching almost make it worth the splurge. It’s a vibrant, dynamic space where the energy is infectious and the food is crafted with care.
The Slurping Turtle may not be everyone's first choice for a quiet meal, but it offers a glimpse into the future of dining—where great food meets lively ambiance. If you can embrace the noise and the crowd, you’re in for a treat. It’s a place that celebrates the now, and sometimes, that’s exactly what you need.

My wife and I decided to try somewhere new for restaurant week and couldn't be happier that we dined at Slurping Turtle. We walked in during peak lunch hours and were greeted and seated immediately. The atmosphere is a nice modern beer haul style with a Japanese twist. What I think I like best about the setup was how spacious the tables were, unlike other "food hall" style eateries that feel packed in and cramped.
The food was delicious. The $30 restaurant week special was a very good deal including A sushi roll, appetizer, and your ramen. It's more of a trendy restaurant so the regular menu prices aren't the cheapest, but the quality of the food and portion sizes I believe more than justify the cost even if it wasn't restaurant week.
Our waitress, Ahura, was also great. She was very attentive and personable. When my wife and I were feeling adventurous and decided to try the takoyaki octopus balls only to find that we did not particularly like the flavor, Ahura went out of her way to exchange the dish for another appetizer at no cost.
Overall, we had a wonderful time and will definitely be back!

Angel hair pasta is not ramen noodles. The chairs are hard and small, my larger coworker could barely sit and had to balance himself on the bar under the table. They definitely want you out faster without being rude. The waitress was nice though. Sorry, I'll pass on coming back.

What can I say? Slurping Turtle has phenomenal ramen. This time around I chose the DFFC (Duck Fat Fried Chicken) Ramen. Perfect amount of spice. Great umami. I’m an avid anime watcher, so being able to eat delicious food while watching Spy X Family just made the experience that much better. There Boa buns and Gyoza are amazing as well, but I decided to not be a complete fatty this time around 😂.

Small, stylish spot for ramen, sushi, and drinks. Can be very busy, you may need to wait. The seating is somewhat congested and is very open/not isolated if you wished to have a decent 1on1 date for example. That being said, the food was good and was not expensive. The sushi is put together and presented well. The ramen options were good.

Everything about the experience went well, except for my interaction with the manager Tony. Our server was super kind and the food was delicious. I decided to order an espresso martini and so did another guest at the table. Mine came out first looking very off in color and tasted almost like root beer. I told the server I did not like the drink and then Tony proceeded to come out and basically tell me I was wrong about the drink. He said it tasted off because I ordered it with tequila, but I work at a bar and know that substituting the liquor is a common thing to do and not the issue. I explained this to him and he told me there is no espresso or even coffee in the restaurant which explains the issue with the drink. Somehow this was my fault and he didn’t take the drink off of the tab. Working in the industry, I know that the customer is always right and it was kind of ridiculous making me pay for the drink and the way he spoke down to me. I don’t typically leave reviews, but I will not be back because of his behavior.

The DFFC is great in the ramen or as an app. Menu is a little on the high side price wise but worth it IMO. Last visit the weather was perfect for outdoor seating but was told it was closed so we (party of 3) sat at the bar. Service was above average, however the group would've been more comfortable sitting outside rather than the bar due to how close all the seats were. This was 3 dudes who aren't "narrow framed" individuals. Probably my 5 or 6th time coming here and the food is what honestly continues to bring me back.

Duck fat fried chicken is a highlight. Cocktails are good and the broths are very flavorful. It is super busy even during midday so be sure to call ahead.

We waited roughly 20 minutes to get seated, then about half an hour to get our food. We got the bao and the bun came soggy and cold, the pork was coated in thick heavy flavored sauce, so heavy that you can't even taste the pork itself.. so basically a soggy wet bun with sauce.
The ramen was so overpriced - $17 and if you want egg, which usually already comes with the ramen at this type of price point, you have to add $2. The pork in the ramen were sliced so thick that it wasn't cooked all the way, it was still pink and didn't look seasoned at all (very pale). I couldn't even bite through it without feeling grossed out and ended up just setting those aside. The broth tasted like ramen package seasoning - we ordered tonkotsu and it tasted nothing like tonkotsu broth's creamy savory flavor at all, and just straight up msg seasoning. As far as the noodle itself, the bamboo shoot, and the overpriced egg itself, they were pretty standard.
The server was no where to be seen when we needed water or needed to ask about the pork, but only showed up when we were "done" eating (with half a bowl left untouched lol) and shoved us the check to hurry us out.
The atmosphere and decoration was alright, but there were bugs everywhere like mosquitos and flies, it quickly became annoying when you're trying to eat or talk. I walked out of there with 3 mosquito bites on my legs lol
Overall, wouldn't recommend at all. Ramen was horrible. If you want actual good ramen there are plenty of other places in Columbus that are way more affordable like Meshikou, Kyshu, Ampersand, and Tensuke Express.

High top seats are near impossible to sit in, made my legs go numb. Dragon roll with eel was very fishy( was in tears), gyoza was bland and the pork belly in the ramen bowl had no flavor. The broth in the ramen was probably the best part, a solid 6/10. The entire experience was maybe a 3/10.

It was my first time going here and I love it! I got the Red Curry Ramen Slurp, a Tipsy Turltle, and a cold brew Japanese coffee! The service is excellent there! Definitely going back again! 🙂

I love the food. But they could do better with more pork free options. Recently found out their molten eggs are marinated in pork oil. A common ingredient in most ramens.

I felt rushed by their waiters every time I go there. No service what so ever. Food is good but overpriced. Location is great.

Always love it here. The ramen is unmatched. Good place for sushi too, I just need to find the kind that I like. I will for sure be coming back.

FOOD POISONING FROM RAW FISH. I ate here with my friend on 5/25/24. I had raw salmon and tuna. Spent $50 dollars, came home, went to bed, woke up, and had classic food poisoning symptoms. Woke up out of my sleep with extreme abdominal cramping and vomiting. I called and the manager started gaslighting me saying it must have been something else I ate but the only thing I had that day was sushi from this establishment. Was not offered compensation nor did I feel that he was even apologetic or trying to be accommodating.

The roasted chicken bao are AMAZING! The salad that accompanied the bao was the perfect bite with the tender sweet chicken. My husband and I loved every dish we tried here and surprised at how small our bill was for the amount of food we ordered.

I came here for the first time tonight about an hour before closing and absolutely loved my experience. The food was delicious & flavorful.
I sat at the bar and my bartender (unfortunately I forgot her name) was super helpful and provided excellent recommendations on drinks & food. I will definitely return since I think this will be my new go-to ramen spot!

The only thing good from my experience was the Mio Sake. The service was horrible and the flavor of the food was nonexistent. The basic ramen noodles you get at the store for $2 had better flavor. Would not recommend and will not be returning.

I was expecting the food to be a lot more flavorful due to the presentation but was thoroughly disappointed. I got the Tokyo ramen dish and it lacked flavor. It smelled gross and tasted weird. I do not recommend.

They have the best ramen noodle of all the ramen shops in town that I've tried. Everything else's average from Karaage to sushi rolls. They're pretty good. I'll go back just for the noodles.

From the moment we walk in the door, we are greeted with impeccable customer service. The food is ALWAYS delicious and no matter how busy they are, we always feel seen and attended to.

Honestly, I don't understand how this place received such ratings. I was disappointed by the experience at this place. From the moment we arrived until we left, the service was subpar. The food had an unpleasant smell. In addition to that, I encountered an issue with a soda bottle -when I accidentally dropped the top needed to drink it, the server attempt to handle the situation was unsatisfactory. Rather than promptly replacing the drink, the server attempted to reseal the bottle using the top I had dropped after I notified her (which was disappointing). She then returned the same drink to me, somehow already opened, making me very uncomfortable to consume it. Overall, this experience has made me decide not to return.

Awesome food but very questionable service.
Edit: went there again and the food was terrible but absolutely no flavor. Server won't come to check on you once served. I had Sbbarro pizza after that. Slurping turtle food is slightly better than Sbbarro garlic bread!

it’s absolutely baffling why you wouldn’t seat us while we were still waiting on a couple people. we would’ve ordered another $50ish in drinks and appetizers while waiting for our friends, but that’s just your loss, I guess. Dunno why you wouldn’t want the extra revenue, and why you’d deny your servers the extra tips…

Had a worm in our edamame and had to wait 30 minutes to order food after our appetizer because the servers switched with each other and didn't communicate with each other that we hadn't ordered yet, even when our food did come out the ramen didnt have a spoon and the sushi didn't have ginger or soy sauce.
Have had great experiences here in the past but this time sucked.

We were there yesterday and overall it’s was an amazing experience! The food was delicious and the drinks were good, but the best thing about it was our waitress! Stormy I hope you read this because you made our experience there memorable!

My husband and I have been visiting Slupring Turttle since 2022. Unfortunately, our last few visits have sucked. The hosts always seem like they have an attitude. The service is hit or miss. Our last visit our server forgot my Ramen and acted anoyyed about it. Plus you always see the short larger manager walking around. But not helping or making sure guest are being taken care of correctly. Unfortunately will probably just go somewhere else for now. It's sad cause we loved the food!

Food was decent. I would have come back but not being knowledgeable about an uncharge for a neat pour of patron and finding out about it when it came on the bill is unacceptable. I won't ever be back.

Currently in OH for business related . It was my first day here in OH. Wanted to try the Japanese cuisine in the area. This place showed up on google. I ordered togo. As i notice it was busy. The ramen tasted alright. The soup was okay tasted like ramen season from the package. Noodles seem hard. Honestly it tasted and look like it come from instant ramen package. One thing i did notice is there NOT a single person of Asian decent that work here. So not sure who own this place. I feel like the food is not authentic . There a sushi bar and not a single sushi chef are Asian. It was alright. I give it a 5/10. It felt like it was overprice for the quality. I think i waited like 20 min.

We are picky about our Ramen and absolutely looooove slurping turtle. We ordered the bao buns, gyoza, classic Tokyo Shoyu, and Hakata Tonkotsu Ramen.
Ada was our server and she was awesome - polite, professional, and knowledgeable. Atmosphere was great, food was delicious, and we will definitely be back!

Fun lively good food spot. Great location at Easton. Customer service was extremely great and that made a word of difference for me. Food came out really fast and fresh. Appetizers were amazing. Ramen broth wasn't my favorite but was better each bite. Overall great experience.

The ramen here is phenomenal. I got the DFFC Miso Ramen and I swear I’m thinking about going again today. It was so flavorful and they serve you a good portion for the amount of money you pay. I left full and ready to return. A plus was the music they were playing that night compliments to the two lovely hostess! Definitely check this one out.
Thank you Finn (our server) for making the experience memorable!
