Upscale Sushi + Asian Fusion eatery. Open Daily. Kitchen Closed 3-4PM, Mon-Fri.
This place was breathtaking! The ambiance was beautiful with vibrant pinks and purples enveloping you from the second you walk into the door. The cherry blossom tree in the middle is an excellent focal point. Not to mention the food, which is the best part of any dining experience! The sushi we had was all great and our friend who doesn’t eat fish got the smash burger and loved it. I would highly recommend going to this establishment if you are in the Cleveland area.

We visited Sora on a Friday night and the experience did not disappoint. My party of six was seated promptly and the atmosphere was AMAZING. It really felt like we were transported into another destination. The decor and ambiance was quite nice.
The food was moderately priced and was quite good. We were checked up on multiple times and our waiter definitely made our experience more enjoyable. Overall, there were great vibes and good service + food. I would definitely visit again in the near future.

I ordered on the door dash app many times. The other day I had the pleasure of dining at your restaurant for lunch. The atmosphere was beautiful. The customer service from the tall gentleman with light hair and glasses was spectacular. Please keep up the great work. I look forward to future visits to my restaurant.

The cocktails, service, and food were amazing. The hot saki was especially good and nothing like others we’ve had around the Cleveland area. I think since it was a weekday everything from the start to the finish of our meal was terrific. Our server was also great at recommending dishes as well as cocktails.
We haven’t been on the weekend yet but for sure will return!!!

Had such a great dining experience that we came back the following night. We chose this restaurant because it was attached to our hotel, had good reviews and open late. Decor is modern, filled with beautiful Japanese cherry blossoms. Very beautiful to sit under/ or take selfie with the floral art display.
Service was amazing! No reservation but were promptly seated on the patio out front and served by Austin; he suggested a few items one of them being off menu (fresh gin gimlet) made by Tess of the bartenders! It was so fantastic that I had to ask her what the gin was plus made a return visit for more food and drinks.
Ordered side fried rice, Nori fries, hanahama and spicy tuna rolls. Very delicious!! Also ordered sake and authentic whiskey highball to drink. The following night we ordered the Smashburger to go and had drinks while waiting. Again it was all amazing. Prices are good for the quality of food you’re getting.

Small rolls seem like the way to go, I'd say the inside out are good too. Large rolls have way too much going on and I did not expect softshell card to be an actual crab in the dish. That didn't ding my rating for food. Some things just didn't hit the mark.
One aspect that just seems disappointing was hearing my girlfriend talk about how neat, interesting, and big the women's restroom is and I check the guys and it's nothing special. Easy to know the restaurant's priorities.

This was one of the best dining experiences me and my husband have ever had. Our server, Brennan, was very hospitable not only to us but to the other tables in his section. He was very attentive to our needs, very quick about fulfilling any requests, extremely personable, and overall provided an amazing experience. He also was very amazing at celebrating us since my husband and I went there for our honeymoon. He celebrated us and brought us mochi ice cream, which was so good, and gave us great recommendations for sushi. Thank you Brennan and the rest of the Sora staff for providing a great experience!

Real nice place to go on a date or solo adventure, which is what I did. I kept seeing their IG advertisement, so it's a new year, so I gave it a try. I came to try something different! 1st, I have to say the waiter was really nice and patient with me explaining the ingredients in their dishes on the menu. Theres alot of things in a different language and he was kind enough to explain for me. I tried the spider roll and the drunken ramen with chicken. All was very good. My cocktail, the "Spirited Away," was very refreshing and strong! The ramen was spicy but good! My spider roll was different and good! Just what i wanted. I enjoyed everything and will definitely come back to treat myself again. Nice spot for sure!

First of all, the place is beautiful hands-down.
The food was good, The service was absolutely terrible to have such a great restaurant in our downtown area and have such terrible service is completely unacceptable. I lived here my whole life and I love to see businesses thrive, and unfortunately, the service can make or break the experience, especially for someone coming to our city. This is completely unacceptable. We came out for my daughter‘s 22nd birthday my wife and I were completely disappointed, but we made the best of it. We paid our bill with a smile, tipped and left the establishment with no hard feelings.

Sora is a beautiful place with fantastic food and cocktails. I’ve been a handful of times and it always impresses me! The staff is always super helpful and attentive too - Angelica helped me move around my admission ticket to an event they were holding. Even despite our call getting disconnected a few times she made sure to accommodate and have it all sorted out. Thank you!

Disclaimer: This is a review of the special OMAKASE dinners that Sora offers on occasion. We did NOT eat of the regular menu nor sit in the regular dining room.
From my understanding, “omakase sushi is a "chef's choice" course/tasting menu that usually consists of the best of what they have, as well as seasonal sushi and sashimi.”
Hence, when I booked a reservation for a Sora omakase for myself and my 2 lifelong friends (and sushi aficionados) I was expecting the focus of the dinner to be on FISH. However, the people at Sora have a different take on the word “omakase.” – so different, that we walked out of the dinner feeling waylaid and “baited and switched. “
Charging $150 per person is in line with a QUALITY omakase experience. However, when more than half the courses don’t include RAW FISH, there is a MAJOR issue in calling this type of dinner an omakase dinner. Perhaps it should be called a multi-course Asian themed dinner?
There were 2 (!!) courses that were egg-based with no fish at all - including the FIRST dish of the night. There was a beef soup course. There was a shellfish soup course. There was a pork course. When some sushi was finally served it was after several courses had already been eaten. Furthermore, the sushi choices (otoro, yellowtail, tuna, king crab (??!!) were rather pedestrian with nothing elevating the dishes either visually or in terms of flavor. There was no sashimi AT ALL.
We also chose the sake pairing which was another $50 per person. The first sake served tasted like bottom of the barrel prosecco . The next one was an OK unfiltered sake, the other 2 sakes were drinkable and less offensive. Since we each got about 6 little pours throughout the night, the sake pairing was a complete waste.
It’s been 24 hours and my anger has subsided, but I am concerned for people who have no idea what omakase is and are subjected to this presentation. It’s NOTHING like an omakase dinner at a quality SUSHI/SASHIMI establishment. My party of 3 were the “old guys” in the house (we’re in our early 50s) and the other 9 participants appeared to be in their mid-20s to 40s. Their minds would be blown if they ever step foot in a place like Sasabune (in Los Angeles) or even in town at Pacific East (Jack does a great job of omakase).
This was by far the most expensive dinner (per person over $200) that I’ve ever paid for in the Cleveland area and without question the most disappointing. I credit Sora on their money making abilities, but we will not be return customers.

We had a wonderful dining experience at Sora on a recent Saturday night. From the moment we walked in, the staff was welcoming and friendly, setting the tone for a great evening. A special shout-out goes to our waiter, Austin, who went above and beyond to make our visit enjoyable.
We were dining with our 14-month-old, and Austin’s attentiveness made all the difference. He made sure her food came out first, which was a small but incredibly thoughtful gesture. As any parent knows, keeping a little one entertained while waiting for food at a restaurant can be a challenge. At other restaurants, her food often comes out with ours, making the wait stressful. This level of accommodation was truly appreciated and made us feel cared for.
As for the food—it was fantastic. Every dish we tried was flavorful and well-prepared. The quality and presentation exceeded our expectations. Sora truly delivered on both taste and service, creating an experience that felt seamless and enjoyable for our entire family.
We’ll definitely be returning and highly recommend Sora to anyone looking for great food and exceptional service. Thank you for a memorable evening!

Food & atmosphere were amazing, on the other hand if you have hours to kill go here. We had a reservation for 7:00 we left at 10:30. The server forgot all of our appetizers, took her an hour to get a Coke for my friend. We kept reminding her to get another round for one beer. Once we reminded her about our appetizers they all came out at different times 30 mins apart. She also forgot our birthday girls sushi roll, every other table had a birthday treat with sparklers and it was all special but our table just got 3 small mochis. Lastly all of our checks were messed up. Again if you want cute pictures & good food, go here if you don’t care about service. To add to that it’s 20% auto grat, tables over 6, so they’ll treat you however they want.

Dined here last night. The decor is beautiful. Our server was very knowledgeable of the menu and was very friendly. I was very impressed with the GM who checked on us and refilled our water. The food was delicious and we will definitely be back!

Sora in Cleveland has quickly become one of our go-to spots for a fantastic dining experience. We've dined in before and have always been impressed by the lively atmosphere and the exquisite flavors of their Asian fusion menu. The ambiance is warm and inviting, making it a perfect place for both casual meals and special occasions.
One of the highlights of our visits has undoubtedly been the food. Each dish we’ve tried has been a delicious blend of fresh ingredients and unique flavors that truly showcase the culinary creativity at Sora. The presentation is just as impressive as the taste, making each meal not just a feast for the palate but also for the eyes.
However, our absolute favorite way to enjoy Sora is by ordering sushi to go. Their “Sora boxes” are an incredible option for anyone looking to savor their amazing sushi at home or on the move. Each box is thoughtfully curated and comes packed with a delightful assortment of sushi items, including:
- Edamame
- (4) Crispy Rice
- (4) Spicy Tuna Rolls (with avocado)
- (4) Salmon and Avocado Rolls
- Nigiri (2 pieces each) featuring Salmon, Tuna, Yellowtail, and Striped Bass
The box also includes a Sriracha packet, soy sauce, spicy mayo, ginger, and wasabi, providing the perfect accompaniments to enhance your meal.
What we appreciate most about the Sora boxes is the balance of flavors and textures they offer. You get a little bit of everything, making it a great option whether you’re dining solo or sharing with friends and family. The quality of the sushi is consistently top-notch, and it’s clear that the chefs take pride in their craft.
If you’re considering dining at Sora or ordering takeout, I wholeheartedly recommend trying the Sora boxes. They provide an excellent way to enjoy the restaurant's offerings in the comfort of your own home, and you won’t be disappointed by the quality or the flavor. Sora consistently delivers an exceptional experience, and we can’t wait to go back for more!
**Update, 9/23**
Ordered the new small Sora box and absolutely loved it. For someone like me who doesn’t have the biggest appetite nowadays, it was the perfect amount of food! Can’t wait to order it again. See photos.

Sushi was decent but the expensive miso soup came in a plastic receptacle which was super lame for such a "high end place". The affordable local sushi place in Parma charges less than half the price and gives you it in a proper bowl. 6$ for a little soup with microplastics!?! Not cool...

Traveled to Cleveland from Pittsburgh to attend a concert and it was a great experience stopping here to eat. Brennan, our server, was so nice and funny, as well as very attentive. Would definitely recommend this place to others!

Ate here for the MGK Anime event and I was blown away. The salmon sashimi is the best I’ve ever had, the sake and margaritas were perfect, I mean everything I put in my mouth was an 11/10. Even with how amazing the food and atmosphere here were, the real selling point of Sora for us was Tess, who waited on us at the bar for HOURS (thanks again for dealing with us 😂). Her service was top notch and she made the entire night so much fun for us! I’ll be coming back here every time I visit Cleveland from now on. Food and service was top notch. In addition to the high quality and neo-classic maximalist Japanese decor I must add that our time spent was perfect, befitting such a glamorous space. Our server Austin was a testament to the excellence of Sora. His explanation concerning the hot and cold kitchens left no misunderstanding on my group. Finally, I must not forget to compliment Austin's fine craft in pairing sake and beer for sake bombs.

New to Cleveland and unsure where to go, I stumbled upon Sora through a random 'restaurant recommendations' reel. After making a quick reservation, I had an unforgettable experience!
I thoroughly enjoyed the food, ambiance, vast menu options, and the beautiful interiors. The entire restaurant is adorned with flowers and lights, making every spot Instagrammable.
Crispy Rice is the best dish on their menu. I’ve tried the Avocado Crispy Rice - a fresh scoop of guacamole just melts in your mouth with flavours. I also loved the Drunken Ramen. I really like how this place has a separate sushi section for vegetarians. Sora, you won hearts here! 🎊
Even the manager checks in to ensure everything is perfect, adding to the wholesome experience.
But, what really made my visits special was our server, Mason ❤️ He is knowledgeable, offered great recommendations, and even suggested fun places to visit in Cleveland. The best part? He never forgets his customers. He recognized me the second time and treated me to a dessert!
I’ll keep coming back for his excellent service.
Overall, a 10/10 🥂

Stopped in late night just after the fireworks on the 4th. I was recommended the crudo being that it was strictly yellowtail (which is my favorite) and I absolutely fell in love, I believe they topped it off with a wasabi sauce, absolutely could be wrong but It was still fantastic. I ended it off with the Chocolate Mousse that was extremely on point! Definitely the freshest sushi I’ve had in Cleveland. Service from Mason to the bartenders to the chefs everything was top tier. Definitely try this place out if you’re looking for good sushi in Cleveland!

While I am typically not one to leave reviews in general, the service and overall experience at Sora was appalling, and I would be remiss if I did not provide feedback .
The service and our server were the most disappointing aspects of the dining experience . Perhaps our server was having an off night, but she was not on the ball, nor did she seem to possess adequate basic skills to be a server in general. Even the simplest of tasks seemed difficult for her to execute . We started off by asking for a second menu for there were seven of us, and she never brought us one the entire night. Additionally, she continually took items (food and drink) from our table without even asking if we were finished , accompanied by constant reaching , asking us to hand her plates etc. At one point , after waiting almost 30 minutes for a drinks, our server proceeded to say they would be right out . This was followed up by her asking for the drink order again … she didn’t even put the order in . Even worse, these were not specialty cocktails , the drinks ordered were wine.
The food was enjoyable enough, but nothing to rave about . The spicy wontons in particular completely fell apart and the only flavor was the chili paste on top . Additionally, none of the main courses for the party came out at the same time, so some people had to awkwardly wait for the rest of the table to be served .
Unfortunately , from a personal standpoint, this appears to be yet another venue what hypes itself up on social media yet cannot deliver when it comes to providing quality service. Would appreciate less cherry blossoms on the ceiling and quality trained staff for a positive dining experience .

Very cool, trendy spot - not your typical Sushi House. Interesting selections and our Sushi orders came out together family style! Presentations were fun and creative. Only Do-over I would make would be to order a different dessert other than the way over priced Berry Bao fried donut. Should have known there was only going to be one - basically a donut taco with jelly in the middle.... disappointing. Overall though, great spot and highly recommend

First thoughts-
It was hotter than hell in there! Yes, it was 80 degrees outside but there was no air circulation at all!
Food was underwhelming & overpriced with ZERO taste.
Weird vibes from the water waiter circling around the whole time who definitely saw me scraping lettuce and sauce off of my son's burger after we ordered it plain and didn't say anything but definitely offered more water..... you will leave there hydrated, just wanting more flavor. The cut of the day pictured below was brown and overcooked when ordered medium. The salmom was OK..... asparagus- no flavor & the rice was hard and crunchy...idk what the sauce was but it was gross....like bbq sauce out of an old shoe or something 🤔
Our server was awesome though- 👌

Great atmosphere. Murals are dope, too.
The sushi was regular.
The wagyu beef burger was pretty good and the house sauce is a must.
My one quarrel with my experience was my hi-ball. In Japan it was my go to, breakfast, lunch and dinner. There’s just something about it simplicity. Tall slim cup small ice cubes, whiskey and soda.
So mine gets to the table and it looks like lemonade and taste pretty sweet. I double checked the menu to make sure it wasn’t some kind of jazzed up highball. Nope. Says whiskey and soda, so I don’t know what happened there. I drank it and was on my way…
Oh, all the posters on the wall in the bathroom was a nice touch.

I've been to Sora a few times in the last 8 or so months, and although I do love the food and generally the service has been fair, they have continually changed their happy hour rates (and policies apparently?) which have heavily informed how I choose to patron the establishment.
Today I came in with my dad to treat him early for Father's Day. We were the only guests when we arrived for our 4pm reservation, and after the bartender gestured to a hostess (or maybe front of house manager) we were then seated and told our server would be with us shortly. It was few minutes before our server came with ice water, which normally wouldn't have even been on my radar had it not been for the fact that the restaurant was empty and there were several employees behind the bar at the time. When our server arrived and asked us what we might like to start with, I asked for the happy hour menu and was informed that happy hour specials are only available if you are sitting at the bar or the high tops. This information is not available on their website and is new since my last visit a month or so ago. I've never before been to a restaurant that only did happy hour specials in specific parts of the restaurant, especially considering that the food and drink items are the same ones found on the regular menu - just at discounted prices.
We relocated to the bar, received the happy hour leaflet, and I realized that the cocktail prices increased *again*. When I first visited Sora with some friends around the holidays the cocktails were half off (needless to say, we were delighted), and since that visit they increased to a flat $8 on all house cocktails, then today they were up to $10 on all cocktails - which still isn't an awful rate, but in comparison to the restaurant I initially visited that did half off cocktails through the entire dining room, to coming in today to $10 cocktails only if you're sitting at the bar or high top, draws quite a comparison.
The food was good and always is, the woman bartending when we moved over was lovely, and the drinks were good, but the value and arbitrary if-you-sit-behind-this-line rule on their happy hour really sullied my previous enjoyment of this establishment.
Overall, good sushi if you're set on going to the flats, but you're just as well off to go somewhere else with a strong menu like Voodoo Tuna or Sakana where at least the happy hour applies regardless of your seating.

I have lived in Asia for almost a decade, I don't know what it is about asian cuisine in Cleveland but all the spots "that are good" are trash
And all the places that are legit are hard to find. Doesn't surprise me ask any asian if it's legit.
Food was sub par , un inspired westernized un authentic sushi. Just go shinto
I honestly think the vibe appeals to tic Tok generation or ig for a photo of the ambiance
The overall taste, vibe just felt like it was trying to be something it ain't. Will I try again I don't know. I'll keep searching for something more authentic, I know the asian community is small here in Cleveland but there are places to visit.
Service was ok, location is nice 👍🏽

My husband and had dinner on a week night at Sora.
I’m reading a book about Japan and Japanese inspired food seemed like a fun choice.
We had a great time at Sora.
Our waiter, Brennan, guided us expertly through the menu.
We explored by trying several items:
Fried rice with avocado
Gyoza
Miso soup
Sora roll
Few other rolls ( my husband ordered.. so I can’t remember)
All along drinking sake.. super delicious
We finished with ‘donut’ and ice cream desert
Tea and coffee
Service was excellent.
Our waiter, Brennan, had a great personality: fun, lighthearted, professional and very attentive.
He made the process of selecting from the menu feel adventures and exciting.
My husband and I do not have time to go out often. Always busy with work, kids, obligations.
We had a free evening in the middle of the week so we decided to grab dinner together as a last minute idea.
I’m so glad we spend our evening together at Sora :))

Service was very slow! Food was absolutely tasteless and had a weird texture! Only recommend for drinks. The Japanese and Italian fusion does not work in food here. Would recommend to AVOID if possible!

Sora was the perfect spot for our casual anniversary date. It offered an great mix of atmosphere and value, without sacrificing quality or service. The décor was unique and beautiful. The table setting was exceptionally clean; we even noticed the manager meticulously inspecting drinkware. He was very welcoming and professional, offering to take our picture and making sure we were having a good experience. Our server was personable, informative, and attentive throughout the evening. The food was exciting and tasted as good as it looked, and the reasonable prices allowed us to try multiple dishes without feeling over-indulgent. We absolutely plan on returning with friends.

I went here a few weeks ago and I will never go here again. The food was okay but the customer service from management was very disheartening the way he treated our table. The general manger couldn’t accommodate on one food item because the person didn’t like the taste and he acted a complete fool. We ordered over $150 worth of drinks and food to get treated & talked down on like we were kids. Wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone, there’s better Asian inspired food places in Cleveland to go. Our waitress Hannah was amazing tho :)

Came here for my birthday dinner because I had seen pictures and awards that they won, sadly it was disappointing. The cocktails were good but the food was just okay. The size of the sushi rolls and dishes were way too small for the price. Our server asked if we wanted dessert, we said no thank you we have birthday cake at home. She said oh it’s your birthday, you get birthday mochi! She made it seem like it was a complimentary dessert and then charged us $9 for it. The ambience is nice but the rest was just a let down.

Food simply not good.
Literally zero taste. I ordered Drunken Fried Ramen, Mushroom & Asparagus Risotto, i was like eating plain boiled rice without salt.
Only karaage Chicken was decent.

I will no longer recommend this place due to the prejudice & dehumanizing management. The stark difference between previous experiences & the latest experience is their new general manager Jason who left an infuriating impression on myself and my party. When addressing a menu item swap request he approached our table without asking how he could help and immediately became condescending while mansplaining that he is "a businessman" and would not compensate the sushi roll for another item on the menu. Out of all of the appetizers, entrees, and cocktails that we ordered AND enjoyed, another friend in my party found her roll to be low quality & off to the taste which he invalidated as a "good enough reason" to exchange. Not only was he disrespectful, he also became very heated, did not respect personal space, and even mocked the way we spoke. He angrily removed an item from our table spilling sauce on the table. Earlier in our visit, I also took note that Jason overly surveilled our section in the restaurant and even made an inappropriate joke stating he would physically assault staff members if our food wasn't up to par.
It was apparent this wasn't the only similar complaint of the evening for Jason and he made a decision before giving us an opportunity to explain our complaint. Unfortunately, we were unable to make the item swap because Jason's superior wasn't present and other managers had to abide by his ruling. We paid our bill in full and after making Jason aware of how his behavior made us feel he mimicked and repeatedly said "this isn't Bob Evans" and that he "wasn't afraid" that we contacted his superior via email.
This entire experience left us feeling judged and taken advantage of due to race, gender, and age. It was even mentioned to us that his behavior is something that the staff is aware of and they have been "trying to get used to" his presence. I have never experienced a manager behave in this capacity here or anywhere else for that matter. I write this to say if it can happen to us, it can happen to you. Would recommend any other restaurant in the Flats for better treatment.

I went to this restaurant with my girlfriend and we ended up waiting for half an hour after being seated for our waiter to take our order. We then ordered sushi and drunken ramen, and each had their own problems. The ramen noodles were quite clumped, which made it difficult to eat with chopsticks, and the sushi arrived 40 minutes after the ramen. I understand that the food comes from separate kitchens, but this gap seemed quite extreme.
It really was a shame because the ambiance in the restaurant was wonderful, and the drinks were good, but it was overall not an enjoyable experience.

We went here for my birthday today and the experience was great! The atmosphere was great, the food was on point. Our server was very nice and accommodating (I think his name was Brenden idk, he had like 20 pens on his belt.) Even while he was really busy with all his tables. We ordered Pork belly steam buns, a Smash Burger, a spider roll, Unagi, Ryu, California Roll, Gyoza and Mochi Ice cream. It was all delicious! There was allot of star wars themed stuff because of May 4th (which I'm not really into but I appreciate the campy element in such an elegant space) it was over all allot of fun and I'd love an anime themed situation in this space. 100% will go again and recommend it to others.

I went to Sora on 05/03/2024 at 6pm- everything was going well until I ordered SHRIMP TEMPURA ROLLS that were NOT to my liking. I simply asked to replace my rolls with Gyoza - to which the manager, Jason, was very disrespectful saying that he makes the determination of if the customer should like the food or not, he’s going to MAKE us pay…that this is not “Bob Evans,” mocking the way we spoke, etc. Terrible experience due to the NEW GENERAL MANAGER being prejudice and not even considering what we were saying. Will never return and highly do not reccomend for people to return as staff also complaining about the behavior of this manager.

Enjoyed dinner here yesterday. Overall experience was great. Definitely recommend this place.
The first thing I paid attention to was the interior decoration. Looks beautiful. Seems to be a good place for a date.
We have ordered gyoza, poke, and some roles with crab. Everything tasted good 👍.

This spot is definitely over rated. The service was poor, our waitress was not attentive at all. The General Manager came, refilled our drinks and checked on us significantly more than the actual waitress did. The menu was very basic and not authentic at all. I would compare the sushi we order to that of what I would expect to buy at a grocery store. I definitely will not be coming back or recommending to anyone else. Social media definitely hyped it up as well.

We went here to celebrate our daughter's birthday. The service was great, the food was great, the drinks were great. We were so lucky to have Brennan as our waiter, he walked us through the menu and explained some of the dishes. Checked on us regularly. Honestly he was the best waiter we have ever had!
Sora is definitely a restaurant you should check out!!

The manager was super kind as soon as we walked in, got us seated and made us feel welcome. I commend the staff for being super busy due to the eclipse and baseball game, and they still made sure to get us food in a timely manner. Sally our server was super nice and our food came out just as we ordered. Came from WV and definitely remembering this as part of our trip to Cleveland!!

A solid dining experience but a clear price mark-up for the “scene”. We had the spicy edamame, steamed buns and sushi. No complaints about the food; it was all excellent. But we are not “scene” diners. Probably will not return unless it was a planned evening out with friends. Not worth the price.

The ambiance is nice. Drinks were decent but expensive. Our server was funny and took care of us alright. The food runners were slow and inconsistent. We all ordered at the same time but the food was delivered in a staggered way, which defeats the purpose of gathering to share a meal. We ordered crispy rice, three sushi rolls and some mushroom risotto. My spider roll had old crab so I did not eat it. The other sushi roll I got left much to be desired, no flavor and shrimp was waved over it maybe. Crispy rice was ok, the spicy crab was wayy too spicy, even after we checked with the server. The mushroom risotto seemed freshly microwaved. We left feeling hungry. I would recommend looking elsewhere for good, fresh sushi. Would maybe only return for a drink but definitely not food.

We had an amazing birthday dinner at Sora. They were able to accommodate us and the manager Jason and our other server were both amazing and made us feel great. The food was really good, the Sora roll came out with gold flakes all over, the drinks were delicious and the place is so cute!

Do not walk, RUN, to Sora. Without question one of the best meals I have had in my life with service levels and atmosphere to match. The new general manager was engaging and charming. We had the steamed pork belly buns as an appetizer, the Sora roll, spider big roll, wagyu "sashimi", a wagyu smash burger on special with seasoned fries, and the berry buns and chocolate mousse for dessert. The sushi was expertly crafted and all of the flavors complimented each other so well. The wagyu items melt in your mouth. The Sora roll may be the best sushi roll I have ever had. We had the ginga shizuku divine droplets sake and it was light, smooth, and sweet. Don't miss taking some selfies with the cherry blossom tree and at the door. Great access to Lyft with a pickup available to our hotel within 2 minutes of request on a Saturday night.

Let me start off saying the General Manager. I believe his name is Josh or Justin. Is phenomenal! He checked on us and corrected the order that the waitress messed up twice. The salmon and asparagus lacked seasoning. I ordered the UMI sushi rol... They are delicious! I'm unsure about returning, but the ambiance, sushi, and the general manager are the best going there.

Came here with a few friends, we sat at the bar. Service was a little slow at the bar it seems like the bartender just didn’t check in on us as often as she should have. Foods dropped, you should check on waters, make sure the foods good. Then sushi took a bit longer than normal, may 20-25 mins from the time we ordered to receiving the actual sushi.
We ordered the mushroom risotto which was crunchy, peppery. Not the greatest flavors.
The sushi however was delicious. Absolutely fantastic, rice was made perfectly. The shrimp cucumber roll was phenomenal. So overall good experience.

Highly recommend Sora if you’re looking for a high quality, interesting meal with elevated drinks. We took advantage of their Restaurant Week deal and it really was a deal. The restaurant was pretty with a wall of windows that looked out onto the east bank of the flats and cherry blossoms on the walls and ceiling (there’s a lot of pink). It has a vaguely modern techno vibe but it wasn’t too overdone.
Started off with two cocktails, both excellent, though I think the standout was Sprited Away (a tequila based drink with blueberry and mint). Our appetizers were avocado crispy rice and Taiwanese fried chicken. We were very impressed with the quantity of chicken and the dipping sauce was amazing. The crispy rice was also delicious. Main course was drunken ramen with pork belly and bulgogi. Both delicious with the beef on the bulgogi being a definite standout. Dessert was also delicious, we got the chocolate mousse with passion fruit coule and a mochi ice scream sampler.

Another great spot I'd been wanting to come to for a while. Luckily, I was finally able to make it in for Cleveland Restaurant Week. I had the Salmon Crudo, Bulgogi, and Dark Chocolate Mousse combination, plus some toro sashimi and a side of sauteed shiitake mushrooms. This was indeed quite a bit of food, but I hadn't eaten all day, so it worked out. Everything was absolutely delicious, everyone was very helpful and polite, and I really liked the cherry blossom themed decor. I can't wait to come back again, hopefully soon.

What a cool place with a great menu! The decor inside is modern and well decorated. The menu itself has a great variety to choose from including ramen, sushi, sandwiches and more. I got one of the sushi rolls and it was great! We tried the crispy rice appetizer which had the perfect crunch and the fish on top was delicious. We also had the spicy edamame which definitely had a kick of chili flavor. We ended with the berry bao bun dessert which was so unique!! It looked like a bao bun, but tasted like a donut with flavorful jam. A great place!
There’s paid garage parking and very limited spaces outside the place.

From the moment we walked in the hostess looked panicked and expressed to several people how short staffed they were. Once we were seated it took a while for anyone to acknowledge us. We were told someone training was taking our table but I think no one told him. We had to flag down anyone who walked by to get anything. When our food came it tasted great but we were never asked if we wanted drinks and our water was never refilled even though we watched every table around us get water. When we flagged the person down we thought was our server to get our check he said.... I will let your server know.... So it seemed as if no one knew they were supposed to be serving our table. Front of house needs to work on their communication and try to not show any panic to their guests. We would try again but I hope service will improve.

Been here twice and both times the food and service were amazing. Love the atmosphere.. cocktails, bulgogi bowl is my go-to, along with the gyoza appetizer. Friends said the sushi was great and can't wait to return.

Go there for the atmosphere but pay above average prices for below average food (sushi). It was our first time at Sora, and the sushi was incredibly disappointing. Everything was over stuffed with crab, a cheap filler in sushi where they skimp on the primary protein like salmon or tuna. We can’t believe we paid the price we did for the quality we received. We genuinely feel ripped off and SCAMMED. The food was lackluster and missing key flavor components.
Aside from the food itself, the service was great. Staff was warm and welcoming, and complementary. Unfortunately it wasn’t enough to salvage our experience since our priority was to enjoy the sushi, the main of the restaurant.

I went for one of the themed evenings (Pokemon) and have mixed reviews.
Pros: signature event cocktails (Razor leaf and thunderbolt) were both good. Thunderbolt should 1000% be on the main menu. It was phenomenal. The (themed) crab rangoons were also FANTASTIC (and I love crab rangoons, I've had a bunch from different places) the rangoons were unique in that they had a smokey quality to them that honestly, I wish was standard for all crab rangoons. 11/10 would order the crab rangoons and thunderbolt again. The atmosphere and music are 👌 on point m the lights at night are lovely. The service was also good. The hostess was nice and the server was knowledgeable about the menu and attentive without being over bearing
Middle ground/Cons: the lemon Thai basil creme brulee was meh. It was WAY under brulee-d to be a brulee, but I liked the lemon whipped cream a lot. The Thai basil over powers the lemon flavor. wouldn't order again and wouldn't recommend(also this is on the main menu. Also of note, the table next to us also ordered the Lemon Thai Basil creme brulee (after us) and only ate the whipped cream and maybe 2 bites. The rest was left on the table after they left). The poke bowl (renamed for the event but identical to the main menu) was also kind of meh. The spicy tuna was good but the veggies in the bowl (aside from the seaweed salad) werent spiced or flavored in any way. Only sliced (albeit sliced well). They give you thousand island dressing (with a twist) on the side, which helps, but still not overly impressed. The drunken chicken ramen (also from the main menu) was very underwhelming. It's a broth- less bowl of ramen noodles and some veggies with very little flavor or spice. Overall the poke bowl is nothing to write home about and I wouldn't order or recommend the drunken ramen.
Overall, a bit underwhelmed. The Atmosphere is Instagram-able and the cocktails were really good (although they were unique to the event) but the entrees and dessert left something to be desired.
TLDR; I would come back for cocktails and appetizers but likely wouldn't get an entree. At first glance, the sushi menu didn't jump out and say "this is unique and different from other places" but I'll make sure to take a closer look when I come back next time

The Chicken Katsu Curry with Udon Noodles is the most delicious thing on earth. The cherry blossom ceilings are STUNNING. Service is very slow any time of the day and some servers are really unprofessional and parking can be expensive and send u tickets in the mail vs charging u extra if u go over on your time.. that is the only down side.

Atmosphere was stunning, service was quick, and the food was superb! We're visiting from Atlanta and Sora was able to take our party of 9 when the other restaurants were too short-staffed to handle us. I love the exquisite decor in each room we walked through. This place was extremely underwhelming. I came here for my birthday because the pictures online make it look like a great establishment. We started out with some cocktails ($16) and they both tasted like soap. Then we got the crispy rice and they give you 4 for $16. Then we got a few sushi rolls and it was all rice with no fish. The fish tasted too fishy and not in a good way. I can tell people come here for the decorations in the restaurant. Unfortunately was not great

The atmosphere had a nice vibe the 20-30 something crowd was out in force. The food was on point, the flavor combinations stood out but were not overdone and the cocktails did not disappoint either. I found the service from this team to be some of the best I have experienced in a long time. All upbeat, engaging and charming. Bravo to Sora, WE WILL BE BACK and we will be bringing friends!
