The food and choices were awesome! Service was a little slow but he was cheerful. Will be going back again. So many flavors!!! If you are not into raw sushi, they have the largest cooked choices i have seen yet. But i had salmon that wasnt. It was fantastic!

This place is great! The sushi rolls were excellent. I got the spicy salmon roll and the caterpillar roll. The rice was well cooked and the seafood was good. The only downside was that our table ordered the volcano roll, but they gave us the flaming dragon roll instead. The dragon roll was delicious, so it wasn’t an actual issue, but that was a minor downside to our trip. Shoutout to our server Eve who chased our car down to hand us our leftovers when we forgot them on the table!! Excellent service!

If you’re in Beavercreek and looking for Korean food, Sakura is the place for you. The food was delicious and the ambiance and design of the restaurant was excellent. Dinner was so good, we went back for lunch the following day. Authentic and rich taste and amazing service. Eve was our server and she was incredible. Extremely pleasant, knowledgeable and attentive. I look forward to coming back next time I’m in town.

Saw two specialty sushi items were listed as “Served on fire” so I had to try one and am I glad I did! Opted for the Volcanic Blast which worked well since the person I was with doesn’t like “the raw fishy kind” and this was served warm packed full of flavor! Highly recommend, but be careful with the soju! It’s such smooth flavor like wine that it sneaks up on you!

On Jul 20th, we held a baby shower for a dear friend at the restaurant and they helped to make it a very special event, managing our party of 25.
I can’t say enough about the people and food at Sakura. It has quickly become our favorite place to eat out. The owners, staff, especially Eve, are a big reason for our love of the restaurant. The food is always fresh and wonderful and we are so happy they chose Beavercreek for their location. We’ve even had time to chat with the owners and are happy for their success and hope you too will give them a try and discover like we did. This is a perfect place to step out for lunch or dinner, relax a little and enjoy the great food and environment they’ve created. I think you’ll find this establishment to be one of your favorite places too.

Came here for the first time this past weekend, and what a surprise. The ambiance is cozy and relaxing. The service was great from the moment we came through the door through the time we left. The server was friendly, knowledgeable, and made the experience very enjoyable. The food was outstanding and probably our new favorite sushi and Korean food in the Dayton area. The fried dumplings were hot and crispy. The shrimp shumai was warm and delicious. The teriyaki had a wonderful flavor and was not too sweet. The mango mochi ice cream hit the spot perfectly to finish off the meal.
I am glad such a new and wonderful place has opened in the Dayton area. We look forward to going back!

The good:
Beautiful dining room.
Excellent service.
Food was hot and fast.
The bad:
I had lunch and ordered veg. potstickers appetizer which was just okay.
Pork Bulgogi was good, not great.
Rice and miso soup were okay.
Vegetable tempura was so so.
Some veggies were undercooked.
The portions are SMALL.
The BILL IS HUGE!!
I got charged dinner prices at lunch.
9.99 for 5 pieces of tempura.
25.00 for bulgogi.
I had a Diet Coke.
My total bill was over $46 with 20%tip.
Better stick to Yung’s.
It is a hole in the wall but more authentic and a much better value.

Went there for my son's Wright State University graduation. We had originally planned on going to Osaka, but they didn't open unit 12:30, so this was or fallback. If we'd have known how awesome it was, it would have been out first choice. They couldn't have been more generous or accommodating. The food was awesome, genuine, and fresh. They even proved this huge roll to help us celebrate the occasion. It may be set back in a strip mall, but this is a go to spot for Japanese and Korean in the greater Dayton area.

The food here is amazing and our server Eve was so attentive and nice! We had both the sushi and korean food and both were incredible. Eve helped recommend good dishes for us and we truly enjoyed it all. We got the beef bulgogi, flaming dragon roll, and warrior roll. She even brought us complementary miso soup when the sushi was taking “long”, which wasn’t really long at all for us! Great place!!

Elegant sushi/Korean restaurant in a strip mall. Food was excellent. Only alcoholic drink was soju, which they have in several flavors. I ate a seafood bowl.
Visited 3 months ago
I was excited from all the nice reviews but it was mid. Kimchi seafood pancake was bland, the meat they use for bulgogi tasted like old meat and small portion compare to the price, kimchi fried rice was bland, decent dish was regular bibimbap because of the bibimbap sauce, salmon and tuna roll was good. Service was kinda lacking because the lady acted nonchalant serving us. Overall, Korean food wasn’t authentic if that’s what you wanna come for.

Gorgeous place. The flower section is stunning and the whole restaurant is clean, modern, and beautiful. Waitstaff was attentive and helpful, good was absolutely stellar. Korean short ribs were the best I ever had and the dolsot bibimbap was delicious too. Surprisingly affordable too! Can't wait to go back.

Sakura is the best Korean/Japanese restaurant in town. Their foods are delicious and amazing. The waitress, Eve anticipated every need, turning my birthday meal into a memorable experience. I recently ate here had high hopes but unfortunately, it didn’t live up to expectations. The food was quite bland, and the service left much to be desired. Only a few tables occupied and the service was so slow. It took 15 minutes after being seated before we had someone even come to the table and take our order. I ordered the chicken bulgogi, which is usually a pretty flavorful dish, but this version was seriously lacking. It had little to no flavor, almost as if the marinade had been skipped entirely.
The pickled Korean vegetables, which should have had a vibrant, tangy taste, felt like they were thrown together last minute. Instead of a deep, fermented flavor, it seemed like they were just tossed in some sauce before serving.
To top it off, the service was painfully slow, and for the quality of the meal, the prices were far too high. Overall, I was disappointed and won’t be rushing back anytime soon.

Definitely worth checking out!!
To start off our favorite go-to sushi place was Tokyo in Fairborn but since closing and Tasty Wok taking over it's just not the same. But this place.. man this place is it!!
The whole experience was amazing! As soon as you walk in the place is beautiful! I loved the flower ceiling. Eve was our server (and if I assume correctly the owner as well) and she was amazing! We aren't drinkers by any means but she told us they have a couple flavors of Soju. I'm a big fan of anything strawberry so we said f-it and got a bottle. I can't stand the taste of any alcohol but this stuff was SO good! No alcohol burn or anything, so smooth and the strawberry taste was amazing. No chaser needed 😅 and we even got to take the rest of the bottle home after Eve wrapped it up for us!
Now I'm a huge sushi lover as well so I got the spicy crab and the BTS roll and both were amazingly good! The BTS roll was perfectly crunchy on the outside and the spicy crab had just the right amount of kick to it! My bf got the beef bulgogi and I snuck a little bite of it and the side of cucumber kimchi and they both were so yummy! The cucumber kimchi was spicier than my spicy crab but so tender while still having a little crunch to it. We also got milk tea to drink as well. Mine being taro and he tried the strawberry matcha. Both were so creamy and delicious that I almost drank both on top of half the bottle of strawberry Soju 🤣
When it came time to get a box for my left overs (the BTS roll was just too big for one meal) Eve even packed everything up for me while we talked about how they've been open for 5 months already and not too many people know about them yet. I hope they keep it up because this has now become our new go-to place!

I’ve been here twice now, and thank goodness I stumbled on it while looking for places to eat. The food, the staff, the atmosphere - incredible.
The first time: the gyoza was cooked perfectly and delicious with a good miso soup and I had the dolsot bibimbap, which was also delicious. I also found out they had soju - a favorite alcohol of mine and a treat any time I can find it. The second time: we had the edamame, which you can never go wrong with. My wife had the California roll and I went with the bulgogi. Both were great, and the bulgogi was almost exactly like it was at one of my favorite restaurants when I lived in Korea. The cost is also very reasonable, even with paying for alcohol.
Eve was our server both times we’ve gone, and what a treat it’s been to meet her. Very personable and professional. We got to reminisce, share, and remember some great memories of Korea between her and I. This is definitely going to become a regular spot for me going forward!

Bulgogi full of fats, barely no meats, a piece or two if you dig deep to the bottom of the plate.
Seafood pancake is full of flour, no seafood barely.
Bibimbap was nothing special.
Felt like vomitting.
Charged us with 80 bucks.
Would not recommend.

I had some spicy Korean stew and it was good. Bonus... They have a selection of Soju. One should not eat Korean food without Soju. That's like sacrilegious. The decor was really modern and took me out of Dayton, even if just temporarily. Well done from a design standpoint.

Stumbled upon this restaurant yesterday, and I'm glad I did. It's at the end of a strip mall and not really visible from the street. Plenty of room to dine, outstanding service, and food was delicious. I thought the lunch portion size of the Beef Bulgogi was a little too small for me, so next time I will order the dinner size. Will definitely be back!

The food we ordered was not the same as in the picture on thier menu. Had i known it i would not have ordered. I ordered the teriyaki chicken thinking it was the same in the picture . Its deceiving. We ordered hot tea but it was served lukewarm. their dessert, Tiramisu is good. We tried to order Bibimbap which it is their menu but the server said , they don't have it.
Visited 7 months ago
Summary: good atmosphere and service, food was just ok.
Seafood pancake: this is mostly bread, it was missing vegetables from the picture and I had to work hard to find 3 pieces of meat on it.
Dumpling soup: lacking flavor, needed soy and kimchi added to be edible.
Poke bowl: the toppings were good and salmon tasted fresh but there was too much vinegar in the rice, which overpowered everything.
We might give it another try but generally unimpressed.

It’s hard to find good sushi here in Dayton, so you can imagine how elated we were to see this place just opened up! From the moment you walk into this beautiful restaurant, you are greeted by almost everyone. Lots of smiles and a feeling of being welcomed is the first impression. After being seated, the next thing you realize is how good the customer service is. The servers are very attentive. My iced tea was refilled quickly and regularly. Then the food came and WOW! Delicious sushi as well as salad and appetizers!!! We have been back and the food, service, and atmosphere are consistently superior. We will be going back to try the Korean food! I highly recommend.

The atmosphere of the restaurant is extremely comforting. Upon stepping into the restaurant you are greeted with warm music and beautiful decoration and ambient lighting. We were greeted by our server Aaron, whom was very kind, friendly, accommodating and servers with a bright , and sat fast. We ordered the salmon poke bowl, beef bulgogi bento box, katsu don curry set, japchae, bibimbap, and salmon teriyaki bento box. The poke bowl was excellent. The bento boxes did not come with rice and the traditional ginger dressing on the salad was replaced with a tangy orange sauce. The salmon bento box was only mediocre due to the rather dry salmon. The bibimbap was served in a bowl and came with sauce, however, it was lacking a little flavor. Overall, the food felt it was lacking some flavor and love (we were told the restaurant got a new chef). The atmosphere and the service were absolutely amazing. Not sure if we want to come back next time for the food, unless there’s some major improvements! Thanks

Would highly recommend the sushi and soju. I forgot the name of the sushi I had but they serve it lit on fire 🔥 It was really good. I had the peach soju. It’s served in a glass flask on ice and they give you a shot glass to pour into. This was my first time, so I can’t speak on bartender consistency regarding soju to juice ratio, but, if you’re looking for something to take the edge off, soju it is! Extremely smooth, “almost” like juice, but you CAN taste the difference to know that it’s not, so be careful especially if your not sharing it. It comes in plain, strawberry, mango or peach flavors. (The plain may not be served in a flask.) Well worth the price for the size drink it is, in my opinion. The service I received from Garyn, my waiter was amazing from start to finish, he made sure I had everything I needed and his table side manner and communication made for an enjoyable dinner service👌🏾

Service: 10/10 I think the waiter I had was new but he was very friendly and helpful, great job.
Interior Atmosphere: 10/10 clean, well-decorated interior.
Exterior atmosphere: 4/10 it looked closed from the outside and the door was very difficult to open. Very dull exterior for a very beautiful interior.
I had the sashimi platter.
Fish quality: 9/10 very pleasantly surprised with the fish quality for a place in Ohio.
Presentation: 7/10 it was good except the scallop pieces were still frozen solid!
I really wanted to give 5 stars, this restaurant has big potential but has a few things to improve too. I’ll be going back to try more. Overall I’m happy with my experience.

Me and my best friend just left here. We had the best experience ever!! Authentic Korean food!! Absolutely delicious. I got the Korean kimchi pancake and kimchi jaegae. The owner Chris and his wife are Korean and I was able to speak to them in Korean and English. They were delighted I could speak some Korean. Our waitress name was Eve and she was the sweetest thing ever !! They all made us feel so welcome and I felt like I was sitting in Korea. They have made us customers for life.

The food was delicious!! The restaurant atmosphere is gorgeous and wheelchair friendly! 10/10 would recommend and come again!

The portion size, sides, and flavor were somewhat disappointing. The food was satisfactory, but I had higher expectations based on the positive reviews. The galbi was quite expensive and accompanied by only two small side dishes. However, the atmosphere was pleasant, and the staff was friendly and welcoming.

Such a cute new spot in Beavercreek! Nina took great care of us, we got the Spicy Bulgogi Pork, a Zen Zen roll, and the Kimchi pancake. Pork wasn't too spicy at all and was very flavorful with fermented veggies as a delightful palate cleanser. Our roll was fresh, and didn't need soy sauce. We also had a nice chat with Chris, the owner. (Family owned 🥰)
We also got a pot of hot Jasmine Green tea - I really love the Numi brand they use! It's fragrant, and brewed to perfection. Lastly I tried the cookies and cream boba tea that wasn't too sweet and balanced with the right level of tapioca pearls. Would recommend giving this place a try.

Food was absolutely perfect and Nina, our server was awesome! We tried the kimchi pancake, a sushi roll, and the bulgogi. Everything was fantastic. Chris, one of the owners, was very friendly as well. Give this place a try!

As a professional smuggler I have experienced all types of foods but when it comes to good sushi this is where you need to go! Brought Leia on a date and our waitress Nina was fantastic, she was very helpful and made sure our experience was perfect. If you're ever in earth I recommend this place!

My husband and I took a “quick peek” into Sakura during it’s first week. We were impressed with the decor, friendly owner( Chris), openness, korean and traditional style seating, extensive food menu, nonalcoholic drinks, boba teas and once they get their liquor license …..amazing cocktails, beer, wine and wait for it…..Strawberry Soju!
We had already eaten elsewhere, but enjoyed watching the beautifully prepared dishes pass us by. We knew that we would indeed be back!
Happy to say that we had our first dining experience today! My husband and I along with our daughter and granddaughter thouroughly enjoyed our meals. Our server was so sweet and attentive. Chris, the owner stopped by the table and asked us if we enjoyed our meals.
Very welcoming and friendly restaurant with fabulous food! Wishing Sakura all the best!
Can’t wait to go back!

If you are looking for a new sushi place in the Beavercreek area, look no further!
I grew up in the Bay Area, California, so I know good sushi when I taste it. Sakura captured the fresh taste that good quality sushi can have while being very affordable. I was pleasantly surprised with their serving sizes. Their rolls are actually great portion sizes for the price they are!
Not to mention, the atmosphere is beautiful and has classic elements for japanese and korean style dining. The seating was very comfortable and we loved our server, Nina!
Fantastic job, Sakura. This restaurant has made my list for frequently visited establishments!

The hot stone bibimbap and galbi was very good. Our server was very nice and made good suggestions on the menu. I meant to take pictures but the food looked so good when it came out we had to start eating! We loved the decor and the atmosphere and definitely look forward to coming back.

Great spot - service was excellent, decor was beautiful, food was very good (not quite as good as Kabuki, but only minimally). My mother in law who is rather picky was extremely happy.

The owner, Chris, personally welcomed us when we entered! The team did a great job making sure we had enough water and didn't check-in with us too much.
Great: The decor and atmosphere was great - a very spacious space with interesting mixed-use seating. The kimchi pancake was my favorite dish of the meal- a little spicy with a crispy top. Definitely a shareable dish for more than 2 people. The hot pot bugolgi looked really good with a mix of proteins (egg and your choice of meet) and vegetables (carrots, mushrooms, zucchini), on top a bed of rice.
Good: The Korean fried dumplings were good - slightly longer than a Chinese fried dumpling. The beef bugolgi was tasty, but my preference would be a longer marinade time. It was enhanced with some gochujang sauce they provided. The boba machine was working again - so we got the strawberry milk one and brown sugar one. Boba pearls were fresh and delicious - soft with a slight chew. The drinks were a bit sweeter than we liked, so next time we will ask for less sugar.
Bad: Nothing bad!

I went to the soft opening with around 20 friends and they were all very impressed as well and the interior alone will have you sold. It has a very beautiful and delicate look to the place, very clean and updated. The presentation of the food was also a great work of art, down to even how certain strawberry’s were placed and displayed. I highly recommend trying it out! I’m even going tonight now that they are fully open!

We stumbled on this delightful sushi and Korean cuisine restaurant when we were looking for something new to do this evening. We were immediately delighted by the Asian-style seating offered through the middle of the restaurant. The waitress was kind and accommodating, the food was uber fresh and delicious and we got to meet the owner, which was heartwarming experience as we learned a bit about him and his story. Highly recommend!

My daughter and I were out to celebrate her finishing her first year of college. We were planning to go to a different favorite spot nearby, but when we saw the Grand Opening signs for this place we decided to give it a try.
It exceeded all expectations! Terrific food and service in a lovely, casual atmosphere. The bubble tea is some of the best we have had, and the Bento box lunches are amazing. The Bulgogi was tender and tasty, served with fresh and delicious Banchans and rice. The menu offers a very wide variety of dishes and sushi.
Highly recommend trying this place if you love Korean food and/or sushi.

Super comfortable atmosphere. Loved the look and feel of the restaurant. The service was friendly and attentive. All restaurant staff were so inviting, such a pleasure. The best, though, was the food! OMG! The menu was amazing...so many good choices, everyone of them mouth watering delicious! And the Boba tea! We tried every flavor, all great, but strawberry was our favorite. Can hardly wait to go back again. This place is somewhere I could see me going to frequently!

Food, service and atmosphere is amazing! Gives you the feel of Korea, Japanese or some Asian culture , in their food and setting here at this restaurant. I ordered their Japchae which was delicious. My husband had the Beef Bugogi that was great. We all shared assortment of sushi which was also very good. They created various sushis that we’ve never tried nor heard of before. We tried their strawberry and mango soku which is tasty too. Oh! And can’t forget their tiramisu dessert was excellent! My granddaughter ate every bite of her cheesecake. All was so good for a new experience. I highly recommend everyone to try it out. We’ll definitely be back.
