My husband and I enjoyed an early lunch today at Sushi Rose -- our first tiime at the restaurant. We loved everything about it! The creative food offerings were fresh and delicious, and our wonderful server Helen was friendly and professional. We each got the lunch special, which includes an appetizer, rice bowl, and dessert for a very fair price ($25). The fusion flavors were amazing. We didn't get cocktails today, but will definitely try them on our next visit.

The ambiance was perfect for our first date night here. Our server Shannon was amazing, she gave wonderful recommendations and was very knowledgeable of the menu. The food was incredibly difficult to choose from bc everything sounded delicious but our favorite was the surf and turf sushi roll. Chef Amrin was delightful to meet and we will definitely be back and recommend to our friends and family!

My girlfriends and I were here Friday night and I can say that it is one of the best experience we had! The ambiance is phenomenal, very elegant! The food was one of the best and I must say, the pork belly is my favorite!
The owner, Jay, even had time to explain to us the history of how the restaurant started! We are definitely going back here!

We had our ladies night out celebrating our very dear friend’s bachelorette party last weekend. The place is so nice, modern and fancy feel like .The service was exceptionally excellent. Leslie was our server, she’s amazing. The staff are very accommodating. Foods were great. From the moment we walked in the door when we were met by a lovely person who greeted us with a big smile and said, "You're right on time!", we knew it was going to be a great experience. It was! The atmosphere was elegant but not stuffy. The music set a great tone. Alex was a fantastic server who made excellent recommendations where each course was delicious and tastier than the previous. Alex gave us a quick but interesting and informative history lesson about the fusion of the 2 cultures that drives this cuisine. The owner, Ray was so friendly and made us feel very special answering our many questions and asking about us. The food is delicious! Don't miss this place.

I had an amazing experience at Sushi Rose, and I have to give a huge shout-out to our server, Kiarra! From the moment we sat down, she made the evening unforgettable. Not only was she incredibly informative about the menu, but she also had us laughing the entire time. Her recommendations were spot on, and every dish she suggested was absolutely delicious. The sushi was fresh and flavorful, and the presentation was top-notch. If you're looking for great food and even better service, Sushi Rose is the place to go, and Kiarra is the one to ask for! First time at Sushi Rose, but I will definitely be back! Our server, Kiarra, was so amazing and very knowledgeable! We had the grilled pulpo (octopus), cucumber sesame roll (my favorite of the evening!), Sushi Rose ceviche and Otoro nigiri. The otoro just melts in your mouth! They also make a fabulous espresso martini with fresh espresso. Highly recommend this restaurant!

Sushi Rose is an absolute diamond. One of the best dining experiences I've ever had. The food, the ambiance, the service....just "wow." The sushi and nigiri are on par with Yoshino (NYC) and Uchi Miami, perhaps even topping those stellar venues. The Peruvian-Japanese fusion concept is well embraced and well executed. I can not really express how great this place is, and what a culinary gift it is to the Triad dining scene. The vibe is more appropriated to an upscale spot in NYC, Miami, or LA. Lele is killing it with her curated cocktails and Armin is a diabolical genius with the menu. 10/10 Highly recommend. Do yourself a favor and book a table now...I'm willing to bet this place will be in the Michelin Guide soon and be on a 6month wait list.

Amazing experience at Sushi Rose! We absolutely loved everything we tried and the Japanese-Peruvian fusion flavors. We especially liked the Peruvian maki roll. The chef is from LA and knows his sushi! Our waiter Mark was so enthusiastic and friendly.

I have celiac disease and they were accommodating and knowledgeable about gluten free food. All the soy sauce is GF (tamari). 10/10 would recommend!

Stumbled on this DELIGHTFUL gem today as a guest from out of town. Destiny WOW’d my sister and I with her knowledge of all things Sushi/Peruvian fusion and she showed off true mixology skills by getting me to try the Holiday Horchata Martini (chefs kiss!). Japanese and Peruvian seafood-based small plates meal that was enjoyable and filling - hit the spot for my spouse and two teen kids. We enjoyed the food - rolls, ceviche, and calamari. Service was very attentive and staff were more than hospitable. We were immediately greeted at the door with a warm smile. An owner visited our table for a chat. The wait staff and server were efficient and attentive.

Took one star off for a combination of lack of print menus (can we get a break from phones at meals) and the low light environment. I know it is nice to soften the mood sometimes with low light but I do like to see my food :) They are a newer establishment (12/25) - the decor seemed still "in process." These are personal preferences though, low light and digital menus may not be an issue for others.

The food was terrific - fresh, tasty, and enjoyable. Tangy bites, spicy, and clean feeling. I certainly recommend a visit. You might want to plan a visit around their drink specials, some of them looked appealing!

We called ahead for reservations. I would come back for sure.

I must say Nevin has left no stone unturned. From the decore , atmosphere and incredible wait staff (Mark & Leslie) it's a wonderfully delightful place. . This establishment is second to none. Also, please try the crispy sushi. You won't be disappointed. This is the best place for a birthday dinner. Stop by from 10-2 for dessert and cocktails.

We had a double date night with friends when our original plan had to change. We ended up at Sushi Rose and were so happy with the experience. Kiarra was absolutely amazing through the whole meal, from sushi suggestions to drinks and all the warm service. The atmosphere was great with great decor, lighting and holiday music playing. Sushi is meh and overpriced. There is better in Winston. Dark inside. Service was fine. I noticed they charge 10 dollars per person for a cancellation, which is sad. Life happens and plans change.

First time here and it did NOT disappoint. I was having dinner with a friend and thought this place would provide a unique atmosphere and dining experience, and that's what we got. Lei Lei was our server and she provided us with the background of the cuisine as well as excellent recommendations for what we should order. The Lomo Saltado Roll was one of these recommendations and not something I normally would have ordered. I will definitely be back to try more dishes!

Lele was our server and she was amazing. She was super helpful in assisting me navigating the menu as someone with celiac disease. She went above and beyond in making sure my meal was safe. I appreciate you Lele! It seems like most things can be modified to be gluten free so there are lots of options. Overall - worth the experience and would go back again.

Went for lunch and had one of their rice bowls. Food was very flavorful and filling. This place is definitely on the pricey side for what would have liked to spend for lunch, but at least the food was worth it and I was satisfied when left.

The owner, Katrina is very nice and clearly passionate about her food. She was very considerate of my friends gluten allergy.

The only thing that was a downside was that I brought my baby in and they did not have a changing table available to change him in the bathroom. They had a high chairs that allow a car seat to fit so I was super excited about that. It’s almost baby friendly. If I were to go back again it would have to be when I could find someone to watch my kid.

We’ve been here several times, when you go you have to have the soft shell crab taco. We’ll make trips to the restaurant just to order a couple plates of these.

Kiera helped us the last time we were here and provided our best experience by far. She was inviting, attentive, and was a helpful guide through the menu.

My fiancée and I visited Sushi Rose with several family members to celebrate our engagement. I couldn’t be more excited about this recent addition to the Winston Salem restaurant scene.

The atmosphere is very cool and thoughtfully decorated. It feels like a restaurant you would find in a much bigger city. The food is delicious and unlike any other restaurant around. The fusion of Japanese and Peruvian flavors is amazing. The drinks are creative, beautiful, and taste great. On top of everything, our server, Kiarra, was incredibly welcoming and helpful!

At the end of the meal, they brought a very festive dessert to celebrate our engagement.

Had sushi rose very early on. I’ve been debating even making a review and decided I finally will because I really want to like them and I do hope they do well.

I was really excited to have a sushi spot in town - especially a sushi fusion. I was severely disappointed by quite a few things.. too many to list. My main gripe is the menu itself. Everything is either covered in some infused oil, fried, torched, heavy sauce, or something of the such.

A true quality piece of otoro, scallop, or any piece of fish does not need to be torched or smothered in a sauce - really does it an injustice and makes for an unpleasant experience. For example, the passion fruit sauce was so bitter it was totally inedible. The fish would have been totally fine on its own but it was ruined by doing too much - a very common theme.

This just scratches the surface of some critical problems that I hope get addressed. I would love to love this place but the menu has got to change.

From the moment I stepped into Sushi Rose in downtown Winston-Salem, the hospitality was unmatched. Co-owner Katrina greeted us warmly, and Leslie, our server, offered great menu tips. We kicked off with the Angry Jalapeño and Softshell Crab Tacos—both fantastic. Highlights of the night included the Crispy Sushi, Rosita Shita, and my favorite, the Grilled Pulpo. As a grilled octopus fan, this dish was perfection. We sipped on a Lemon Drop Martini and the Lychee Rose Spritz by Nick, which paired beautifully. Sushi Rose is truly a gem, and I can’t wait to return!

Wish here were another option or two for those of us who don’t eat seafood or sushi but really enjoyed. The key lime desert was such a good way to end our evening. All of the flavors are very balanced and light. Thank you!

We love this place. It has the ambience of a trendy NYC restaurant. Our server, Leslie, was top notch. There was a mistake in our order and she immediately corrected it and made sure things were perfect. We enjoyed everything we tried, especially the soft shell crab tacos, lomo saltado rolls, and Salmon sashimi. The maracuya sour cocktail was delightful. One of the owners, Katrina, came out to check on us and gave us a fascinating history of the restaurant origination. We will definitely be back!

Sushi Rose is a brand-new restaurant in Winston-Salem that combines the culinary traditions of Japan and Peru. Crazy, right?! It works.
If you love to travel, if you love being adventurous with dining experiences, you have to try this place.
We tried Sushi Rose for my wife's bday last night and I can honestly say that it was one of the most unique and interesting dinner experiences we've had in a long time.
The scallop appetizer was amazingly perfect.
But the Lomo Saltado roll came out and it just blew us away. The crazy combination of flavors worked so perfectly.
Then they brought out the Sea Bass and someone described it as "eating a cloud" which doesn't make sense until you try it. Easily one of the best fish dishes we've ever had.
Shannon, our server, was wonderful and guided us to some great options. The owner was so kind and attentive and truly wants people to have a wonderful experience.
The vibe of the place is artsy, laid back and comfortable. There were multiple groups of 8+ people there just hanging out and taking their time trying new foods.

My girlfriends and I were here Friday night and I can say that it is one of the best experience we had! The ambiance is phenomenal, very elegant! The food was one of the best and I must say, the pork belly is my favorite!

We had an amazing dinner for my wife’s birthday at Sushi Rose! The atmosphere is classy & cozy. The staff were amazing from the moment we called for reservations! Excellent service from a server to bartender. A warmed welcome from the owner and the chefs. We truly enjoyed our experience. Excellent menu-drink list. Food presentation was gorgeous, and the taste was on point, like extremely mamamiah👌🏼Chef Armin hands have some natural magic sarap. We were so full but we still had to eat and finish the dessert bcus it was so good.

My husband and I decided to try this place for a date night. I'm gluten free and find it hard to find places we both like. When we were first seated, the owner came over to introduce himself and answer any questions. The staff was super friendly and knowledgeable. The food was amazing!!! We started with the edemame, followed by katana, Lomo saltado roll, crispy sushi, brulee signature role, and tofu aburi roll. They were all delicious and the staff was helpful with my gluten free accommodations. We will go back for sure!

I made reservations online and requested a romantic night with my girlfriend. Everyone delivered! It was an absolutely amazing experience and I will be returning. What was really amazing though was Nevin, one of the owners, was out in the dining room cleaning tables, serving drinks, talking with the guests (including us) and working just as hard as the other employees if not harder. From my experience, it is rare to see the owner of a restaurant like Sushi Rose, doing things like this. It speaks for their morals as a company, my girlfriend and I were extremely impressed. The entire night we were treated so elegantly, the food was great and the wine was as well. I will be going back and I highly suggest Sushi Rose to anyone who is looking for a good night out with a loved one.

My husband and I tried Sushi Rose last night and will definitely be back!

The people were super friendly and the service was great! From the moment we entered the hostesses, bar backs, servers and even the owner greeted us as if we were VIP.

While they can make any cocktail (they also offer wine and saki) we chose mixed drinks off the bar menu and were super pleased!

The twist on typical sushi was so creative - you won’t see California Roll on this menu 😉. We eat sushi often and tried three rolls and each was fabulous! The charred Edamame was unexpected and very yummy.

The venue has a long bar with seating, a few comfy sofas and of course dining tables - you can eat at every seating option. Whether it’s ladies/guys night out, drinks after work or date night do not miss this little gem downtown!

Great food, ambiance, and service. Exceeded expectations and mine were high. Delicious and relaxing dinner. I left feeling satisfied but not stuffed or lethargic. Sushi on another level. Extremely clean. Perfect for a special occasion or anytime you want to give yourself a lift and enjoy life at the next level. I didn't want to leave and look forward to returning soon.
Months later: I just went back for the second time for lunch. I ordered the tuna rice bowl for $18 and had ample servings for lunch and dinner. For $9 a meal for first -rate poke, I was more than pleased and will return for lunch to try another type of rice bowl. Love this place!😍

Our new favorite spot! We came here for our 8th anniversary dinner, and let’s just say this experience was beyond exceptional and is now one of our top favorite restaurants in the Triad area. We met the owner and he made sure to take care great care of us! The sushi was the best and most unique sushi I’ve ever had, the food presentation was beautiful, and the unique flavors and freshness were exceptional. My husband took me to Sushi Rose for my birthday and we had a great time. The server was really knowledgable and we took most of his suggestions on what to order, and boy, he did NOT steer us wrong. We got the Crispy Sushi (amazing), the Acevichado (literally incredible), and the Surf & Turf Roll (I'm currently drooling). Not only that, but when they found out it was my birthday, they insisted on bringing me a free dessert with a firework exploding from it. They went above and beyond for just our meal, and that dedication to the customer experience is also reflected in the quality of the food and the ambience of the environment itself. Sushi Rose is such a cool place. Great location, atmosphere, service and awesome food. Loved everything about this place.
We shared the Ponzu Scallop appetizer which was so tasty and just the right size for 2 people to share. I ordered the Shrimp Tacos because I wanted to get something a little Peruvian and the acevichado sauce, mango slaw and lightly fried shrimp were a perfect combination. Three tacos on small corn tortillas were a great entree size. We also tried one of the sashimi dishes which was equally fabulous. We even tried the Key Lime dessert which was, if course, wonderful. There were 2 birthday parties in the dining room while we were there and that's quite a festive spectacle with singing and fireworks (well at least a GINORMOUS Sparkler). Can't wait to go back!

From the moment we walked in the door when we were met by a lovely person who greeted us with a big smile and said, "You're right on time!", we knew it was going to be a great experience. It was! The atmosphere was elegant but not stuffy. The music set a great tone. Alex was a fantastic server who made excellent recommendations where each course was delicious and tastier than the previous. Alex gave us a quick but interesting and informative history lesson about the fusion of the 2 cultures that drives this cuisine. The owner, Ray was so friendly and made us feel very special answering our many questions and asking about us. The food is delicious! Don't miss this place.

This is a must if you find yourself in Winston Salem. The food was on par with Sugarfish, and that's saying A LOT!! The owner came out and told us about the place and his inspiration for the restaurant. Such an amazing place. The fusion style was a perfect combination, and the menu is constantly evolving. Sushi Rose is a game-changer! My friend and I recently enjoyed this new Peruvian/Japanese fusion spot, and we were blown away by the entire experience.

We started with the crispy sushi and scallops as appetizers, both of which were INCREDIBLE. Everything was a perfect blend of textures and flavors and we literally couldn't get enough. We wanted to try as much as we could so we shared all of our mains - we tried the Surf and Turf roll, Luna Tuna, Acevichado Roll, Grilled Pulpo tacos, and Soft Shell Crab tacos. Every.👏 Dish.👏 Was. 👏 A👏 MAZ👏 ING👏

The concepts, ingredients, execution, and presentation were pure art. The food was so good we had to meet the Chef, Armin.

Not only is he incredibly skilled but also humble, passionate, and so welcoming. It's clear that Chef Armin has skill, creativity and a palate that sets this place on another level.

Nevin, the owner, is another standout guy. His passion for the restaurant and his vision for creating a unique dining experience in Winston-Salem are clear in every detail. The presentation of the food was impeccable, and the service was flawless, and atmosphere is great.

The space feels fresh, sleek, modern, and full of energy. With its cool design elements, I kept forgetting I was actually in Winston-Salem; it feels more like you’re eating in WeHo or Midtown Manhattan.

I cannot recommend Sushi Rose enough. I’m already getting friends together just to go back. My only minor negative is that some of the tables felt a bit small, which was slightly restrictive, but honestly, that’s a tiny issue (pun intended) compared to the overall 10/10 experience this place offers. WS Foodies, don't sleep on this spot.

My sister and I had tried a Japanese Peruvian place in Charlotte and loved it so was excited to go to this much closer restaurant. I tried the crispy sushi and the Wagyu sushi roll. Both were good, but I wouldn’t say they were the best sushi I’ve ever had. I tried my friend’s edamame and that was pretty good. I would like to go back to try the other items on the menu. Alex was a great server and knowledgeable about the menu so 5/5 to him. The reason for the four star on the atmosphere
is there’s something wrong with their exhaust system. Something was in the air that was causing most of the people in my party to have irritated eyes. Within the first five minutes of one of my friends being there, her eyes started to burn and by the end of the visit she was tearing up. Luckily, it didn’t hit me till we were leaving.

We had previously tried a Chinese-Peruvian restaurant out of state and were excited to try Japanese-Peruvian fusion cuisine, Sushi Rose didn't disappoint. The blend of flavors was unlike anything I've ever tried but melded together into delicious dishes that we're definitely coming back to experience again. The food was delicious, the service was great as well as the atmosphere but I read in other peoples reviews that the grilling peppers burned their eyes. I thought it was probably a fluke and we made reservations but it was not. My table ordered the peppers and one of my daughters had their eyes burning, turn blood red and water the entire meal. She was miserable and I felt so bad. I would recommend they take the grilled peppers off the menu.

The only downer was the scallop sashimi - it was honestly terrible: one scallop sliced into 6 thin pieces and was practically cooked by the salt on it. Had an absolutely fabulous anniversary dinner here tonight. Jay and Katrina were highly personable and engaging and wonderful. Had the crispy sushi, lomo saltado and a soft shell crab taco special and all 3 were 5/5 for flavor and presentation. They gave us a celebratory shot and dessert and it was truly a wonderful experience. I feel like in general in Winston we have average food with average service but this place knocked it out of the park. Highly recommend for a special occasion or a regular dinner out.

Finally, a good sushi restaurant in Winston! Very impressive restaurant on a lot of different levels. The food itself is outstanding, we came hungry and ordered the octopus, sashimi, lomo saltado and two sushi rolls and it was all delicious. My wife and I are super saddened by the experience we recently had at Sushi Rose. While the servers are great, venue is beautiful, and food is delicious- the restaurant was absolutely infested with gnats and flies. We were seated in an area where we kept getting swarmed by gnats, and were eventually moved to another area in hopes that the issue would be less problematic. However, it only got worse, and we ultimately kept being pestered by gnats, and had a LARGE fly land directly in our bottle of wine that we purchased from across the street. The manager applied a 20% discount to our order for the inconvenience, but seemed too lax about the whole issue, basically saying the building had been under construction for 1.5 years so it was to be expected. In a restaurant serving high-end sushi, the LAST thing a customer wants to experience is an insect issue. We love the location, service, and food menu, but given this experience, we are very unlikely to return. Very sad because other than the bug issue, it looks like a great new sushi location in Winston-Salem!

My 1st time tasting A5 Japanese Wagyu for dinner at Sushi-Rose in Winston Salem, NC! Japanese tradition meets Peru flair, fusing together into a style known as "Nikkei". This modern eatery has a simple, clean, stunning decor with a breathtaking culinary artistry for, not only the palate, but too, the eye. We also enjoyed their Lomo Saltaldo, Ponzu Scallops, and Roasted Shishitos. Sushi Rose is a unique Japanese-Peruvian FUSIAN restaurant. The rolls were delicious, especially the Acevichado and Brûlée Signature rolls. The Maracuya Sour cocktail was just like what we experienced in Peru, delicious!

Great restaurant and unlike anything else in Winston Salem! Atmosphere is great and gives larger city energy with the music, design, and overall aesthetic. Strongly recommend trying this location out for your next date night, or an evening out with friends. All the dishes we had (shishito peppers, crispy sushi, Tuna Luna Roll, A5 Waygu and Lomo Salgado) were outstanding! Sorry no photos and we went slightly overboard on trying things out (affects the price per person spent), but our favorites were the crispy sushi and Lomo Saltado. The mixed drinks had a lovely appearance, but were overall just okay, would likely go with a bottle of brut or standard mixed drink next time. Every single staff member was outstanding from the time we arrived through the doors, to exiting the restaurant. They all made you feel like you were friends dining in their own kitchen. The owners introduced themselves and checked in various times throughout the meal as well as they wanted our genuine thoughts on the dishes, and to see if we needed anything. We will definitely be back to dine again soon!

Celebrated my daughter's 16th birthday and they did not disappoint! The food was amazing (small plates: shrimp tacos, crusted ahi tuna and crispy sushi /maki rolls: tuna Luna roll, acevichado roll, king salmon roll and waygu roll) and the service fantastic. They were so patient answering our many questions. You could tell they want you to have a wonderful experience and return, which we definitely will! Thank you for making it a special evening!

Was looking forward to this place because of its great reviews, but was a little disappointed. The night started off strong with the nice, chill, clean atmosphere of the place. Service was a little slow in the beginning, but got better throughout the night. The drinks were good. We started with the crunchy sushi, which was delicious. The entrees were a little bit of a let down. We got the acevichado roll, king salmon roll, and the tuna luna roll. The acevichado roll was the best of the 3. The others were okay, but I probably wouldn't order them again. All 3 rolls were over-salted as well. I've been to numerous sushi places and while I will say this is great for the area, I've had better in many other places. The food was fresh and okay, but again, didn't live up to the expectation of some of the reviews saying this was the best sushi they've ever had. All the staff were very polite and greeted us when we arrived and said their goodbyes/have a wonderful night when we left. Overall, I'd say this place is good to try once, but is overpriced for what you get.

"I had a great time at this place. I sat at the bar and enjoyed a delicious old-fashioned cocktail, followed by some fantastic sushi. Everything was very fresh and well-prepared, with excellent presentation. The bartender was superb, and I even had the chance to meet the chef, who is a really nice guy. I have no complaints and I will definitely return."

My family tried this restaurant last week and wanted me to try as well. I had the Sushi Rose Ceviche (requested spicy) and it was delicious! My dad, who is from Peru and is very particular about his ceviche, really enjoyed this dish as well and I think that says a lot about the food's quality! We will definitely be returning in the future.
If you are Peruvian and looking for a great plate of ceviche in NC, this is the place to go!
Also, gotta give a shout out to all of the staff! They were very attentive and created a welcoming environment. I'm excited to see this place grow!

The food was really really good. The atmosphere is inviting warm very comfortable. Our waitress was very attentive. So very happy experience
