Pretty good food. I ordered a chirashi bowl, which had some odd inclusions I'm not used to (like melon and soybeans, for instance). Prices were alright for what you get. The best dish we got was an appetizer, the kimchi smoked duck. That was excellent, even if the sushi was a little uninspired.

Went during lunchtime with my mom who loves Thai. Place had a vibe as they were playing Motown. That was different and interesting. From the pics you see, quite a few items we ordered and they look great, don't they? The majority of it was tasty. From what I ordered, the General Tso Chicken was overcooked along with the eggroll. The Bao Buns were ok. They're actually better the next day after a 30 sec zap in the microwave. Mom enjoyed what she had so that's all that matters.

There were too many occurrences to give more than 3 stars.
The overall experience was okay.
The food was decent, but I was not satisfied.
The establishment was clean, however where I sat, had a sticky spot on my edge of the table.
I really enjoyed the playlist that played while we were there.
Our server took a while to take our order.
(I thought maybe they were short staffed, but we noticed other tables seated after us having their orders taken by other servers and getting their orders fairly quick.)
My group and I were brought our items, but on multiple instances the server would mix up who ordered what and would just place the food on the table not telling us what all was being served.
My friend ordered a veggie tempura and it was brought to me.
I ordered the Sashimi and sushi, but our server did not take my order correctly even though I pointed at the menu while telling him my order.
(I am soft spoken I often have to point on a menu Incase servers can't hear me.)
I guessed what sushi was placed in front of me, and I accidentally ate my friend's veggie tempura roll thinking it was part of the Sashimi and Sushi order.
When I asked our server about our orders, he said he wrote my order as a sashimi for one.
The sashimi was ok.
(When I go to a sushi place, I always go for sashimi)
The fish did not seem vibrant (fresh)
[I did edit/add lighting to the images for them to look clear.
Also the plating on the ice is nice.]
Some of my fish (temperature wise) did not feel cold -as if left on the counter -
Out of all the items ordered, I really enjoyed the hot and sour soup.
I say this as constructive criticism (not to be rude).
Our server may benefit from more training.

A great sushi restaurant close to home busy with families, couples and great bar area. Awesome that they had a seat for us on a Saturday evening.
The choices for sushi and entrees were boundless. The Summer of Fun roll was done with soy paper which was light and refreshing. The spicy Thai seafood dish had a kick to it and plenty of seafood. The Japanese squid was a bit chewy but the mussels, shrimp and scallops were cooked perfectly.
We will certainly be back for more rolls, so many to try.

My BFF and I dined here, for lunch, after our spa day.
First, the decor is absolutely gorgeous! From the amazing tile work to the superb lighting, it made us feel welcomed.
Second, the wait staff were on point. Ms. Becky, our adorable server, answered questions and was pleasant and had a great sense of humor.
Third, the food!! OMG! A totally fresh, tasty, seasoned just right, plentiful plate of goodness was our lunch. This delicious food beat out the competition by far. We have dined all over Wilmington! They're now our first choice.
Please, go there! You will not be disappointed.
Plus, the manager, Shay was so kind and professional to us. Making sure everything was perfect during our visit. That says alot right there. Five stars👍👍👍👍👍 for making our lunch date so wonderful. Happy new year, Nori!

poor poor customer service
the young lady that assisted my party was rude and nasty
she did make sure to be pleasant and helpful to her white counter parts
I've been here a few times and this last time the service was poor
There are so many issues this last time I visited
I haven't been back since ..possibly will do take out.
the Food is good won't take that from the establishment
I did reach out to manager she responded but it would of been better if she gave a call. She responded to the email I sent it wasn't super reassuring
I will update if I visit again in person

We got takeout and the food was mediocre, our three sushi rolls were dry because they forgot to put soy sauce in the bag. Not worth the $60 we spent.

We had a good meal here and enjoyed dining outside on a nice night! I am not a big sushi person, so I usually order a hibachi or teriyaki type entree, and they had plenty of options for me to do that here. They had a ton of rolls, but my husband said he actually preferred what I ordered to his sushi. I loved my drink as well and would go back just for that!

Usually love this place, been here plenty of times, but we tried to get a table at 9:25 on a Sunday and the hostess responded that “sorry, no one’s been coming in so we decided to close early” as she was mopping the front lobby area. I worked in the service industry for almost 10 years—front and back of house, and would never in a million years that that would be an acceptable answer to a customer trying to get a table DURING OPERATING HOURS with the Open sign on. Doubt that we’ll ever be back.

I know that people in this area don’t really know sushi, so I want to tell everyone, this place is an absolute scam. $30 for 12 pieces of sashimi is ridiculous. There’s no option for a sashimi for two, so you have to order two $30 orders to get enough sashimi. The rolls are somewhat fairly priced, but if you get two rolls, two orders of sashimi for one, then you are at about $94…without drinks or appetizers, and still might not be enough food. That is not normal, even for the northeast. We walked out.
In response to the owners, I appreciate your well wishes, but I do have to disagree. I have eaten at some of the most highly regarded sushi establishments in NYC, NJ, and the surrounding area, and none of them even closely resembled your price point. These restaurants are regarded as some of the best in the US, and heavy competition ensures that quality is their main priority. I have even eaten at the most highly regarded sushi restaurant in Denver, CO, where the owners import fish from Japan. Again, a densely populated city, even though it a landlocked state, there is heavy competition in the area. Their prices, again, do not match yours. There is no justification for your prices - other than to line your pockets at the expense of the consumer. I suggest you add a sushi and sashimi for two, offer 12 pieces of sashimi, 8 pieces of sushi, and maybe even a small roll. That combination, along with two soups/salads, would be a fair offering at about $35. Again, your rolls are somewhat fairly priced, though some could stand to be reduced by $1-$2. Even further, if you were to offer a special roll combination, where customers could pick two special rolls for $30, that would also be extremely fair. If someone were to order both of the options that I just mentioned, then they would be at about $65. They could still add appetizers, order a third or even fourth roll, and be satisfied with the amount of food ordered.
I seriously hope you take my advice into consideration, and enjoy your holiday.

It’s pretty disturbing that in 2024 we’re still dealing with racist establishments. Had lunch here and there was a very nice black family sat across from us. When we sat down we over heard them saying how their food tasted a little off, he got a chicken teriyaki dish and he said it tasted fishy. He politely asked for management so they could solve the issue. It was second hand embarrassing watching the owner/manager place blame on the customer saying it tasted weird because he mixed his teriyaki sauce with soy sauce?? Lol which wouldn’t have given it a fishy taste. They ended up replacing his meal with something else which he seemed to enjoy.
The very disturbing part is after they fully paid their bill, the hostess took the receipt which had a zero tip on it, and started loudly talking badly about the customers and how they didn’t tip. When the MANAGER/OWNER literally said word for word “nice to know they can afford nikes but can’t tip”
No one at the table was even wearing nikes…
And the BEST PART is he did tip!!! He left cash on the table. I hope the hostess feels like an idiot and I will be telling everyone I know that this place is racist and not to go here.
Another kicker is the table sitting next to us of two Asian woman, also had a complaint about their food, but no assumptions were made about them.

Apparently the sushi bar was “backed up” so it was a good 40 minutes for appetizers and another hour plus for our sushi dinners. So if you don’t mind a 2-3 hour dinner this is your place. Unfortunately we were all hungry when we arrived. Also we noticed the table next to us seemed to get better service than us. We have eaten at Nori since their beginning but this will be our last time. Very sad service.

To the owners and managment. Genuinely disappointed in the service. I've been coming to this establishment for 2 years and I've seen the overall quality and hospitality go out the windows. Additionally the cleanliness has been piss poor everytime I've eaten there on each visit. The hostess do not manage their time wisely nor do the servers. On serveal occasions I've come to the restaurant and unoccupied tables will be dirty from prior customers, and I've had to ask the waitress to fulfill their duties. Why am I paying high prices to eat at a dirty restaurant and asking the waitress to complete their job?
Why do I constantly see servers mingling with one another when there are customers that have not been greeted or served?
Today my family and I sat there and no server approached us, and once again had to ask the host if we had a waitress. The host proceeds, to ask us for our beverage choice and still did NOT bring out our drinks. What was the point of asking? Down right Laziness.
This is are a couple major concerns now with Noris, because the entire time we were sitting there we saw waitresses service other tables, and the host was not busy. Thus:
1. The establishment is not for colored people eating here
Or
2. The waiting staff and host crew is genuinely that incompetent in completing their overall duties.
Noris needs to get it together for I love eating your general tso, but man... is the environment and lack of service unbearable. I do not recommend until I see improvement.
*I can also email photos to whom i need to show the restaraunts uncleanliness*

Beware ordering sushi to go. Unless you specifically ask them not to, they will shove as much of your food in one container as possible even if they were different rolls. And then act snooty when you ask for them to be remade because you should have assumed that all of your food would be smooshed together and asked for different containers.
Visited 7 months ago
I love their sweet green dragon roll (vegan with sweet potato), and their spicy yams roll (also vegan). Often vegetarian / vegan rolls are just some carrots, cucumbers and if you are lucky some avocado but these rolls are not sad looking in comparison to other sushi rolls but are beautifully crafted, delicious and very satisfying. They also have delicious dishes where you can pick your protein including tofu.

I’ve been here several times and I’ve always liked it. Volcano roll is my favorite. The last time I came here I was with my brother and he found 3 pieces of hair in his food. Typically we don’t judge restaurants for hair in the food if it’s just one or two pieces, we’re all human after all. But one piece was literally in the sushi, he went to remove it and literally picked up the roll. So sadly we called the waiter over and told her, when she saw pick up the roll from the hair, her jaw literally dropped in disgust. My first time I got some rolls and I kid you not I found three pieces of hair in my food. One on top do the rolls, one underneath, and one inside. I immediately called the waitress over after the third piece and showed it to her. I picked up the hair and the sushi came with it. I kid you not her jaw dropped and she immediately apologized and took it away. Needless to say, she got me more sushi right away and told me she made sure there was no hair in it anymore. My food was paid for by them as well. The food was great and they did well after their mistake.

Favorite sushi place in Wilmington if not in NC, have multiple friends that ask me to take them to Nori every time they come into town. Even have a friend who's been to Japan multiple times and says the sushi at Nori is absolutely stellar and above the quality of American sushi. Pricey for sure but worth it if you want to treat yourself, absolutely love this place. Recommend the Mount Fuji Roll, Crab Salad, and the head chef's choice roll.

I would recommend not ordering for delivery. They will not make your order until a delivery person is in the store, making your order undesirable to drivers. Door dash pays me $2 to come pick your food up and deliver it to your location, not including tips. If we spend 15 minutes or more waiting for your food to be prepped 1. We are losing money and time. 2. Door Dash dings us for taking too long. So then we are almost forced to drop your order for another driver to pick up. WE DO NOT GET PAID A CENT for orders we have to drop because the restaurants don't have the food prepared. This means your food is going to take even longer to get to you because now you have to wait on another driver to pick it up. But if they're experienced drivers, they will decline Nori orders because we have all spent a lot of wasted time waiting for them in the past.
The staff needs to figure out how door dash and grub hub work or maybe they just need to stop delivery if they're going to continue to make it difficult for us and for you.

Sushi is decent but pricey. We asked the bartender about rolls and I don't think she knew the menu. Then she seemed irritated when I questioned about the sushi after it arrived. The manager over heard our questions and came over and tried to say that is how the roll should be... when the menu states otherwise ...as it was missing toppings. After that interaction, the bartender seemed to not care about refills and more drink orders. Staff needs to be more discreet when pulling their cigarettes out.

Sushi was good 4 stars. Service was 1 star. We started off sitting at the bar 90 mins before closing. Bar tender ignored us, finally got her attention to order, then she decided to ignore us again. Tried multiple times to waive her down for silver wear and napkins, finally found another serve to do it. I asked her if they were about to close , she said not till 1030…. It was 9pm…..
Meanwhile they were too busy cleaning up I assuming getting ready to close (90 mins early) I could understand the cleaning if we came a lot closer to closing time but that was not the case.
The kitchen workers were spilling 5 gallon buckets of bleach water all over the floor behind the bar and scrubbing while we were trying to eat. Smelled horrible. Won’t be back.

Always busy (not their fault), but they need extra staff. There is usually a wait, takeout takes forever. If you need to order takeout, your best bet is to go in person. Over the phone orders have almost always been wrong in our experience. We order in person and then go to one of the other restaurants at the Pointe and have a drink at the bar. Nori does call to let you know when your order is ready, so that's a plus.

Tonight we went in and had the best sushi rolls we’ve ever had in Wilmington, my wife was having a hard time deciding what to try, she wanted something new and the manager Victoria asked if we needed anything and helped us decide on the angel hair roll. This will be our go to roll from now on!! All the staff always does a good job but Victoria went out of her way to help us pick a new favorite so we have to say thank you! We will definitely be coming back in the near future for the Angel hair roll!

Food has always been good here, however customer service is lacking. Wait staff needs better training. Instead of looking at people standing waiting to be seated, they should have said….just one minute will be right with you. Instead I had to ask to be seated and was rudely looked at and put in crowded corner. Needless to say we walked out and went to another place where we were appreciated. Tables should be clean in a timely fashion but even if they are not, wait staff should be kind.

Went there for lunch today. Waiting to be seated, the Hostess looked at me 4 times and ignored me. I finally asked to be seated and she literally threw 2 menus on the end of a booth that was already occupied by 4 people. Tables needed to be cleared and if she done her job we would have had a decent place to sit. Told her she was rude and customer service was horrible and walked out. This is not the first bad experience I have had here but it is the worst.

We go here often. Always good food. Looks great and tastes great! Can be very busy on weekends. There is often a wait. Check online before you go. Outside seating is nice in good weather.

Just picked up my 50 dollar order and it’s terrible. The sweet and sour chicken is dry and no flavor, the crab ragoon barely has cream cheese. How can they charge these prices?? Don’t waste ur money!

River was our server and he was so sweet and kind, very attentive. The food was superb and the fish on the sushi tasted and looked very fresh. The best egg drop soup I’ve ever had, plus sweet potato roll was cooked perfectly, usually I find them to be undercooked at other places. Really great place for a nice sushi lunch.

It was well worth the 45-minute drive from our beach house. Our family wanted sushi and after reading reviews of some of the must try sushi spots, we decided to go to Nori. Tempura sampler was delightful. Lo mein was perfectly seasoned and not too oily or salty. Sashimi was was fresh and delicious. Angry roll was just ok, the sweet and sour sauce was a little bit overpowering. Service members were very friendly and attentive. The restaurant was has an upscale kind of feeling. Definitely be back! Highly recommend!

Love love love! This place is incredible - I was so happy to see that they allow Naruto style rolls here! More room for sushi! Also, love the cocktail options! Can't wait to go back!!

As a local, who has only been here twice, I made a stop by for dinner and a glass of wine. Shay, the bartender, listened to what I was interested in and helped me make a decision on chicken lo mein Which I was very pleased with. The manager Bree was very hospitable and present! I feel guilty. I haven’t visited more and will be back.

This wonderful place has such great sushi! The service is implacable. The atmosphere would be more conducive if the table were just a little bit further apart. My husband and I normally get Brittney as our server and she is an absolute delight! Very personable, knowledgeable, and just all around a pleasant individual.
The Spicy Yam roll, Wilmington roll, and summer of love roll are my favorites! 10/10 would highly recommend!

This place was so great! My sister and I came this evening and everything we had was amazing. The portions are so big too, you get more than you pay for.
Our server was the best! We didn’t catch her name, but the sweet girl with short red/blonde curly hair- you rock!!!

We came in and requested bar table. Service was good, and server was well informed. Tan blonde Marilyn Monroe look alike (I didn’t get her name) was the best server we have had so far. We got the pork bao buns and they were PERFECTION. Best sauce I’ve ever tasted on pork, and crispy texture. Buns were soft. Would just put them in a row on a long plate instead of round plate since there’s 3. Also got the Angry Fish roll, that was really tasty, very fresh and fish was firm and sweet. Overall experience 9 out of 10!

The menu looked great but food was average and service less than. We a spicy tuna roll, the tuna looked/felt ground up. The Ginger scallion chicken didn’t have any flavor, General Tso’s wasn’t spicy. We most likely will not return.

We have always loved the amazing food and great service at Nori, but somehow they impressed us further than we ever imagined. This evening was a stressful one, and I was in need of comfort food, and a quiet place to study. Eva and Lily came quickly to my rescue with such overwhelming kindness, positivity, and understanding. Grateful for their help this evening- they simply were second to none. I cannot wait to see them again soon. ❤️

Food was amazing. We are vegeterians so we had many options. However service was very very poor.
We had requested to bring our food early as we had to drive back to Raleigh, it took them almost 1hr.30 mins to get our food.
Upon asking they said we will bring it and later they said the order kinda got lost and no one apologized.
We wish the service was as good as the food. Still debating if we should recommend it to friends or not .

I typically head downtown on Tuesday nights to another place, but time got away from me. So, I headed over to Nori. I typically do lunch at Nori, but tonight, I really wanted sushi and thought I'd give it a shot. I won't say anything about the food other than it was great. They were very busy, but it did die down before I got out. My issue was the service. I simply felt like I was a nuisance. I know the server was busy, so I wanted to be patient...But I didn't want to be ignored. I never said anything and I'm not angry. I hope she had a wonderful night. I wasn't asked how was the food, if I needed anything...Just "What would you like to drink/Can I take your plates/It'll be $38." Not even sure if I was wished a good night... Guess I'll just stick to lunch.

Went to eat before our movie and got seated and received our drinks. The waiter literally never came back. Nori has been getting worse and worse. Will probably not return. The people beside us also told us there pst experiences with Nori being slow.
