Atmosphere was amazing and the staff was very friendly especially Tony. It's always a pleasure going in and he makes you feel at home. I ordered red curry with chicken and white rice. It was amazing. There level 2 spice level was not that hot but would definitely go up to level 3 if you can handle the spice. Also their Thai tea was delicious.

My husband and I went here for our 4th wedding anniversary, and we will definitely be back! The service was incredible- attentive, friendly, and fast! The food was absolutely delicious, even pleasing my husband who is often very picky. The pricing was also extremely fair! We know we're going to spend a little more when we get sushi, but it was excellent value, and less expensive than we anticipated! Absolutely wonderful!

This place was absolutely amazing. Every dish was delicious, the staff was super friendly, and the place was nice and clean.
My son had the veggie fried rice, and I kept stealing bites because it was so good and flavorful.
I ordered the massaman curry and it was perfect, my son kept asking for bites and said we should order a second serving of it to take with us! (We didn't because we were traveling)
My boyfriend ordered the veggie pad Thai and that was great too!
I highly recommend this place! The lunch portion was the perfect size and a great price.

Welcome back to another sushi review by the Ginga Ninja!!! 🫚🧑🏼🦰🥷😂
Tonight, we are reviewing Sushi Time! Located in Raleigh, NC, off Falls of Neuse and Strickland road.
That said, my wife and I were in the area and just wanted a good-sized snack if you will 😅 and one of our go-to's is Sushi, so I hot Google to see what was around.. Sushi Time came up, and based on the good / decent reviews, food pics, and moderate pricing, we decided to pop in and give them a whirl!
That said, it was odd to walk in at 5:30 p.m. and only see 1 other couple in a restaurant that could easily sit 60-80 🫣🤔 but we sat down anyway.
Our server Gabriel was really nice and accommodating, and the bartender, who was likely tue manager, was also quite hospitable, so I will give credit where credit is due.
The restaurant itself was rather bland.. Just a sushi bar, some older looking tables that were too close together (make sure you get a booth if you go), and blue walls.. It just didn't have any character or sense of "this is our business, who we are, are, and what they're about."
At any rate, we ordered a bottle of hot sake, a plate of crispy gyoza, and I believe it was a 16-piece deluxe sashimi plate as well.
The crispy gyoza came out piping hot and were certainly tasty but were quite small compared to traditional gyoza or even those I've had at most other restaurants.
The sashimi wasn't bad, but anyone who eats a lot of sashimi knows it should be served around a certain temperature range.. Ours came out, not only very cold, which means they are only trying to preserve it as long as they can, but it tasted just a little a little fishier than what I'm accustomed to. Credit for the REAL fresh ginger, though (not that pink stuff soaked in pickled sugar water).
I'm sure we are a little spoiled, though, as we typically go to places such as M Sushi, Elements, Waraji, Sushi Mon, City Market Sushi, etc..
At any rate, here's a couple photos for everyone.
This is the Ginga Ninja, and I approve this message, lol! 😂

We found this place accidentally as our regular place was shut on Mondays. And what a delightful discovery!
The food was fantastic but really what stood out was the service. The staff were all so friendly, helpful, and charming.
I’m looking forward to going back and sharing this place with all my neighbors!

Sushi Time provides a decent dining option for Thai cuisine, but unfortunately, the food fell short of expectations. Many dishes lacked flavor, and the sushi was below par. Additionally, the menu seemed to lack a cohesive identity, blending dishes from different parts of the world without much success. Overall, an average experience for those craving Thai food, but don't expect anything extraordinary.

We were here for lunch after Christmas, maybe was lack of server, service was not what we expected ( felt like being welcomed), we had curry (Thai)here before only and was good so we decided to try some sushi roll, when we asked recommendations they suggested California roll…. But we decided to order two expensive rolls coz it sounds fancy, like around $18+/ each , and lord, that were the smallest roll we’ve ever expected:( the buy one get one free sushi roll from any other sushi place looks and taste better:( so disappointed, but the Thai curries we order were ok except the meat (salmon and chicken) inside were over cooked. But maybe we can try something different next time.

Rubbed the wrong way after being charged wrong… we loved our sushi and sake and thought highly of the place this being our first time eating in this restaurant. When we checked out, the bill seemed high. After walking up to the host stand to ask, it turns out we were overcharged and they just printed out the fixed receipt and had nothing else to say after I called out their mistake. They said the difference of the bill will go back on the card. This is after we tipped on the first bill which ended up being a 40% tip and the inconvenience of being overcharged. Overall our food was great but I would pay close attention to your electronic bill before you pay/tip to avoid the hassle and over tipping we did. We never saw our waitress again after she finished electronically checking us out…

The entrees were fine, however I would not recommend the sushi (I’ve tried sushi rolls, nigiri combo, maki rolls on two different occasions). The fish quality was mid, similar to a grocery store. The rice was horrible and there was way too much of it. It was very over cooked, gummy, and had no flavor :(

I called to check whether their pad Thai, fried rice, and see ew were gluten free. The woman said yes. When I went to pick up the food though, I reconfirmed, and the man said the sauces are, but the rice and noodles are not. And btw - none of their sushi is. So I had to get a refund through Grubhub and went home hungry. The man did not understand that you cannot call a dish gluten free unless the ENTIRE dish is GF. I nearly spent a month sick because of this error.

Here for a late lunch. Restaurant was quiet. Food came out very fast and was very tasty. We had an appetizer platter of mixed options. A salad with the best ginger dressing and some sushi rolls. Very nice sized menu, we look forward to coming back.

Due to my last regular sushi place jumping in price, I began searching for a new go to place. I picked this one for the bogo, but I was blown away! Price was great, 2 rolls for $20. Service was great! They were so friendly and attentive. Food was ready in time. The atmosphere in the restaurant was super chill but also fun! They have Legos for decorations. On top of all that, BEST SUSHI I have ever had and I'm picky with sushi. My favorite roll is a Philly, but I usually hate smoked salmon due to the smoke being over powering. But decided to go on a limb and try it, I was really craving a Philly. And I am glad I did, it changed my mind about smoked salmon. 11/10 would recommend!

Food was OK, server Over charged normal price for beer that was on special. Attitude when brought to her attention then preselected a huge tip on the tablet screen for me to pay extra again! I paid the higher tip because she did give good service but I won't go back because of this sneaky, unethical interaction. Double check your bill before you pay!

We like this restaurant and eat at or order from here often. However, on our last order they forgot the seaweed salad. We only realized when got home. Since the missing item was inexpensive we didn't go back. However, the next time we ordered we mentioned what happened and asked for the seaweed salad. We were denied.
So the restaurant is good, but dishonest.

Came for lunch. Ordered kids lo mein with chicken, California roll, salmon roll with avocado & cucumber and Thai tea. Food was average but i ordered average items. Salmon wasn’t crazy fresh and a little chewy.
I gave 3 stars for service because of my server. Host was very friendly and accommodating. Server clearly would push me to the side to accommodate other guests. Also, when I ordered the Thai tea she corrected me and said did you mean sweet tea, lmao. It is what it is and would come back and try more traditional dishes.

So I got some take out on a Thursday night, over an hour before they closed. Got 5 rolls and only 1 of them was prepared well/correct. I got a spicy tuna, bagel, deep ocean and Red Bull roll. The spiny tuna was the only roll to be what it was suppose to be. Bagel roll was missing fish on half of it and completely over fried. The deep ocean just tasted like nothing again barely any fish in there at all, Red Bull was missing the spicy crab. All of it just did not taste well either honestly. The wonton wasn’t too bad but had very little sauce. I will say it was prepared very quickly… but at what cost. This was my first experience and may be the last. Picture attached it my bagel roll…

They’re very friendly and the tables were clean! I had the Philadelphia and the snow roll and both were pretty okay although the flavor of the rice is a bit mild. The Mango sticky rice is not too sweet, pretty good! and it seems that they give you the coconut cream whipped on the side.

When I told the server he laughed in my face and then requires me to pay for my food that I didn't eat and if I was to get another item off the menu it would have been additional charges. He was very unprofessional and the other waiter they were telling me that my taste bugs were incorrect and that their food is made from authentic Thai land.

I really really wanted to like this place, but it was disappointing. I tried the thai food first - everything was pale, low flavor, and had an oddly huge amount of carrots. Then I thought maybe they are better for sushi, so I tried that the next day. The sushi was even worse - fish was not fresh, the sushi rice was flavorless and stale, and the rolls overall were just bad. I have no idea how this place is getting such good reviews. Sad I wasted almost $200 here.

Ordered take out. Had Red Curry Chicken and Tom Kha Soup. Both were very flavorful. Portion size was pretty small. The amount of rice included is way too small. Especially with curry, you need plenty of rice to help soak up everything. Rice is cheap and more needs to be included.
Service was super friendly and quick. I was out the door in about 10 minutes.
Will probably try the sushi next time.

We loved the Hawaiian roll and were really happy with the quality and quantity of the other 3 rolls we ordered. Also, I loved that the order was ready in 15 minutes, exactly when the online order said. Will be back, not just on Sunday, but definitely when the craving hits on Sundays.

The restaurant was very clean. I was greeted when I walked in. The manager is VERY pleasant. I enjoyed his personality. Brice was awesome He was attentive. Checked on our table, refilled our glasses, etc.
I went for my birthday. I enjoyed the sushi with my friends. We all agreed, it was very fresh & delicious. I would definitely go back for the bogo sushi.
We also had the Thai chicken wings and crab rangoons. They were good. I ordered the Choya plum wine. It came in a small bottle, almost like an airplane shot bottle. So don't expect a regular amount of wine.
But you do get a plum in every glass. :-) The Wonton soup had lettuce in it. That was different. I would recommend ordering it without the lettuce.
They offer plenty of parking in the shopping center.

I had a wonderful experience at Sushi Time, a cozy and friendly restaurant that offers both sushi and fusion Thai food. I ordered the Thai red curry with chicken, and it was delicious. The curry sauce was rich, creamy, and flavorful, with just the right amount of spice. The chicken was tender and juicy, and the vegetables were crisp and fresh. The portion size was generous, and the price was reasonable. My server was attentive and courteous, and the atmosphere was relaxed and inviting. I would definitely recommend Sushi Time to anyone looking for a satisfying and tasty meal.

Done plenty of take out and eaten in about three times over the last 2 months. Food has been good and there has been some inconsistency in service and experiences over time. That is to be expected when going anywhere and working with different staff members. I do believe dinner is stronger than lunch in terms of food quality. The décor is very nice. They have a very clean atmosphere. The server is very intentional to ensure clear communication and expectations mixed in with some upselling. :) Overall, I've been very happy with the experiences and the thai food.

I went right after they opened, about 11:40. I was seated immediately and asked to sit near the corner so I could read. I hate giving bad reviews but this has to be one of the worst restaurant experiences I’ve had in Raleigh. We tried a variety of things on the menu to give it a fair shot but it disappointed. We had the Wolfpack and volcano rolls— the latter being served with a pile of crab and what looked like melted cheese in the middle which sounds good in theory but isn’t a “fusion” or practice any professional chef would approve of. The ingredients were soggy, unbalanced flavor profiles and far from fresh. Sad to say that store bought sushi has more flavor. The coconut ramen was essentially watered down coconut milk and served so hot that it over cooked the noodles until they were mushy. Shockingly the vegetables that came on top were undercooked and even visibly unseasoned. The yellow curry with chicken was also a watered down coconut milk and had no flavor. The only thing that we were able to take a second bite of was the fried banana and icecream. We are big foodies and never cheap out when we try new restaurants, but this was not worth the $60 we paid.

Came for sushi before a play at dpac and I can say the food was amazing. I had the tempura 2 and omami roll. I must say the rolls were perfectly rolled and no corners were cut in the process of making the rolls. You truly tasted every ingredient. The omami roll is definitely for your California/Philly roll friends wanting to get into more traditional sushi with the added fish atop but the cream cheese is a bit overpowering but not terribly so. The tempura 2 roll is quite honestly hands down the best sushi roll I have had for a good crunch effect while maintaining the integrity of the roll and being true 2 bite pieces. There is bogo for sushi which is a great option. I also had the Duck Kee Mao which was wide noodles. My only constructive criticism is to pull meat off duck wings versus just chopping up and having some hard and fatty pieces amongst the dish along with the good meat.

This place is fabulous. Looks great inside and they have such a nice ambiance. The sushi is distinctive and fresh. We tried the New York and the Omakase rolls and they were delectable. They have at least 6 sales to choose from including 1 hot sake. And even though they do two for one rolls they do not skimp on quality. My wife always thinks sushi pieces are too big to handle but she had no complaints at all. They also have a nice beer selection… local and imported from Japan. Definitely recommend.

Food tasted great, my only complaint is that my curry did not come with enough sauce to even remotely cover any meat or vegetables. It was like a drizzle on the plate which was a little disappointing and not what you expect when you order curry.

Food was okay, not spectacular, in terms of other Sushi restaurants in Raleigh. Do not recommend the Sushi platter as it’s not too flavorful and worth the cost. Server automatically added a 20% gratuity (which in the offline offer it says they may add 15 to 20%, although the server informed me they do this to everyone so this needs to be properly communicated) to bill although I had to ask for refills, chopsticks and soy sauce. I was also only a party of 1. He even disappeared for 15 mins when I was ready to pay for my bill. He never asked how the food was or anything, and when I asked for the bill he didn’t even offer take out containers or a bag so I had to ask cashier for assistance. Would not recommend this restaurant to others.

I have eaten at this place several times before and I would’ve given the rating a higher star but on my most recent visit I quickly realized that I did not want to eat at the restaurant anymore!
Upon arriving for dinner with my daughter, we ordered buy one get one Sushi (the bagel roll to be exact). We ordered crab wonton and shrimp hibachi. When the crab arrives, they were overcooked. I kindly asked the server to bring a new batch. And within minutes, he brought a new batch that was undercooked and cold. A few minutes later he broke my daughter’s shrimp hibachi that included four shrimp (and a LOT of onions) based on our physical count and asked the waiter to correct the dish that cost almost $20! The server took the dish back to the kitchen in which the kitchen responded That “there were actually seven shrimp and not four”—- How disgusting for you to counter back in such a passive aggressive way and not be genuinely concerned to correct this for the PAYING customer!!!
Once we received this response, I told the waiter I no longer wanted the Hibachi and I would keep the BOGO. I told him that I would like to take the undercooked wonton back to the kitchen to be corrected. However, that never took place. The only dish I received that was halfway decent was the bagel sushi roll.
Upon receiving my bill I was charged for the food and was expected to pay, even though the food went back to the kitchen, needless to say the end of this visit did not go so well, and I will not be patronizing this business ever again!!

Shushi & Thai Restaurant
The food is good. The service is friendly. The restaurant is clean and comfortable.
I could find better Thai or Sushi, but the price is ok for the total package. Everything I have tried has been good.
Also note that their closing hours are not typical- last seating time. Thay want to conclude business by the closing time & wrap up soon after.
Lunch: the lunch munu has a reasonable entre price, and you can add tea and an appatizer for just a bit more.

I wasn’t impressed with the sushi at all. I had better sushi elsewhere and even from the grocery store. My one roll was large and usually you should be able eat sushi in one bite, not two or three. Also, they should be clear on the crab (whether it’s imitation or real crab). My other sushi roll, wasn’t good was dry when I ate a piece of sushi, I was instantly thirsty. I’m not sure if it was the rice or what but it didn’t taste right. My friend ordered the soft crab sushi roll and the crab wasn’t fresh, it tasted like it had been dead for days. I went with high expectations and left very disappointed. I did order the drunken noodles they were good, could have been better if I was asked my level of spice (it needed a little more spice). The atmosphere was nice and as pictured in others review. The food simply didn’t meet expectations.

We just had the most enjoyable lunch at Sushi Time, There are plenty of lunch options to choose from, the prices are very reasonable and the option to make it a combo (with both Thai coffee and tea as drink options) is a real bargain. Quick and pleasant service and great food.

North Raleigh needed this sushi place! It's good bogo sushi at a good price point. I highly recommend the crab wontons, and every sushi roll I tried was good. I ordered the Firecracker and Tuna Ecstasy. It will be a difficult decision when I return between ordering the same or trying something new, but I will definitely be returning.

Food was just alright. We only ordered sushi rolls. One roll was extremely fishy and too salty (not sure which one because we were not told what each roll was when they were brought out), but the others were pretty good. The waitress was very nice and attentive.

Had an upscale presentation and flavor profile. Delicious! Would go back again

The sushi here is AMAZING and service was excellent. The place was modern and clean, but there were some glaring large blank walls. I assume they are still decorating though. Will def be back!

I recently visited here for the first time and I will definitely return again. The customer service here is outstanding. The staff checked in on our table frequently and refilled our drinks. They have a variety of food options on the menu. I decided to go with their sushi and it was really good.

We've eaten at Sushi Time for the first time last week (and actually got it twice )! The first time, we ordered takeout during work and it was DELICIOUS! They were prompt to get our order ready that we ordered online. They had a question to clarify one of the things I personalized so they called to ask which I thought was very nice so they could ensure I received exactly what I wanted.
The second time we went, we dined in on Sunday with my family of 4. The service was prompt, our waiter was so kind, helpful, and very thorough. The prices are very fair, they have BOGO sushi rolls, and again, delicious food! I can't wait to eat here again; I think it'll definitely be a place we frequent! The restaurant is very nicely decorated as well with peaceful colors and music making it a very calming and enjoyable place to eat.

Refused service because they were closing for lunch in 5 minutes. Call before you go to make sure they want to serve food.

Recently went with family (4). We each ordered a combo meal but shared. Food was fresh, authentic and well
portioned. Staff was courteous, knowledgeable and attentive. Restaurant was clean and we were sat immediately. I would recommend this as an option for authentic Thai, Asian cuisine.

Everything was really good. Was originally a little worried by the amount of rolls they had, but everything came out tasting amazing. Authentic Thai and great sushi would recommend

Newly opened, pretty good menu. BOGO rolls. Interesting Tom Yum Ramen, and you can swap out for rice noodles.

Simple and casual sushi restaurant with BOGO rolls. Sushi was yummy with fresh ingredients. Service was friendly and helpful with recommendations. Most places have removed their BOGO specials, so it's nice to have a place to try new rolls.

My wife and I are very particular about high quality, fresh and flavorful Sushi. This was our first experience and I can say with confidence that this place is top tier in Raleigh. Friendly service, and absolutely delicious.

Surprisingly good! We got tempura veggies, Penang curry, several sushi rolls, and the fried ice cream! Everything was delicious!!! And we are pretty critical of our sushi. So happy to have a quality sushi restaurant near our house finally. We ended up ordering an additional sushi roll for my son toward the end of our meal, and the server was kind enough before bringing our check to remind us we get one free and asked if we’d like to order our free roll. Really impressed and will definitely be back!!!!!!

Highly recommend! We’ve eaten there multiple times and plan to return. Sushitime has become a ‘go to’ spot for us. Excellent food and service with a great menu. Authentic flavors. Nice, clean dining room. We also have had a great experience with takeout.

Ordered take out and the order was ready very quickly. I ordered two rolls with tempura shrimp in them, one with salmon on top. The salmon was good, the rice was good. The tempura tasted old, like it was overly oily and sat over night. Also the $18 roll had the shrimp tails completely fried and inside the roll. So basically 2 of the 8 pieces were fried tail and not shrimp. Not appropriate for a pricey roll.

Great food, great service.
The staff is really friendly and they had a buy 1 get 1 deal on sushi rolls. I scarfed down 2 rolls by myself they were so good! Restaurant is very open and clean. Definitely would eat here again.

Great addition to the North Raleigh landscape for Asian food ! Thom Ka Gai soup was VERY good and Thai dumplings, Massaman curry and Drunken Noodles were all quite good. Unique combinations of flavors in each dish including cinnamon in the Massaman that was very nice.
And all drinks were half off, I think til the end of the month, but were reasonably priced anyway.
Definitely coming back and for anyone looking for asian flavors give them a try !

I've ordered from here twice, once during their soft opening and again today. The food and service were great both times. I noticed a little more attention to detail this time like they have worked to improve since the soft opening. I especially like the ability to customize any roll when ordering online. And the BOGO sushi rolls

We ate at Sushi Time for the first time today. We were cheerfully and quickly greeted as we walked in the door! The décor is welcoming, pleasing and calming. They have a beautiful sushi bar but we chose to sit in a booth. The wait staff were friendly and on top of our needs. They have a huge menu full of appealing described dishes. We will need to return often to taste them all. We ordered Red Curry with chicken, chicken satay, Thai iced tea and tuna/salmon poke bowl. The poke bowl was almost too pretty to eat! Creatively presented with fresh and delicious ingredients. The Red Curry dish was just the right spice and the ingredients were fresh and was good to the last drop! Our overall impression was perfect! This is our new favorite place to eat! So happy it has opened near us. I wish we had taken photos of our meal to share!

If you are looking for great sushi, cozy clean atmosphere, excellent service and cold drinks at a reasonable price, this is THE place to go. Unassuming from the outside, but this spot is a hidden gem. My wife and I went with our 8 month old in a stroller at dinner time and they were super accommodating and patient. We will definitely be going back as often as possible.
We would have taken a picture of the food, but we started to dig in as soon as the plates hit the table. I'll make sure to take one next time!
