The atmosphere was very nice and the DJ played good upbeat partying music. They add a 20% gratuity to your bill. The food was pretty good. I ordered the shrimp fried rice and shrimp egg rolls. My friends said they enjoyed their food as well.

Wonderful dinner at Nikko. Ordered various sushi rolls and they were all really good.

Our server was kind enough to bring out a special dessert for the birthday girl in our group. Thank you!

Tried to make a reservation online, but the only available opening was 9:00pm. We took our chances as a walk in and it was not busy at all (which was great for us). I'm curious why the reservation system wasn't accurate though, that might deter some customers.

Either way, we enjoyed our dinner and will definitely be back sometime.

I haven’t been here in years. Went last night with friends for dinner. There was a strong smell of urine and cleaning products. Our server did the best he could do and was so nice but you could tell there were a bunch of misses in training if there was any. The bartender was flirting with a girl sitting on a stool the whole time. Drinks took forever. Appetizers were good except for the tuna tataki which tasted as if it was cooked 3 days ago. Sushi was not fresh at all. I wasn’t able to eat the rainbow roll as it was so overly fishy and the taste of ammonia was awful.

Definitely too many great sushi places to not waste my money at.

We had the most amazing time! The atmosphere is a whole vibe. It is loud once the DJ starts but we came to dance too, so we were all about it. The bartender gave such a good drink selection based on what I wanted. We tried plenty of dishes & all were good. I was hoping the sushi would wow me & was all type disappointed after hearing from some friends. Maybe I just didn’t get the right specialty rolls. I tried the Hawaiian Pokey Roll and the tomatoes were a first for me when it comes to being added to sushi. (Not sure I loved it.) Looking forward to next time & trying a few more dishes.

The manager was friendly but they clearly are having some service issues. I was ready to get up and walk out. By the time my food came, it was cold. We had to walk to the bar to get drinks because our waitress was MIA. Meanwhile, all the dancers came in and sat at the table behind us which they promptly had drinks and food brought out to them. Very disapointed in this experience. Our manager said she was going to give us a discount for the poor service, however, the measly 15% she gave us was already a promotion they ran for December birthday groups which we were there for.

Honestly, so many better Japanese Sushi restaurants in Charlotte. 1) the service was terrible. Server disappears for a while and when does show up has horrible attitude. They provide such terrible service cause they already know they getting 20% gratuity added on to the check for parties of 6 or more. 2) the food took almost 2 hours to get to the table and when it finally arrived it was cold, dry and no flavor. 3) the atmosphere here is more of a club with music blasting so loud you can’t hear the people talking right next to you. It reaches the point it gives you a headache. There are people literally twerking, grinding and even a guy without a shirt dancing right on your table. 4) reservation was for 7:30 and we didn’t get sat until 8:10ish.

Overall this place is complete trash and I would give it 0 stars if that was an option.

Had a reservation at 8:30 for daughter’s sweet sixteen birthday with her friends and family . Took 45 mins for waiter to even come introduce self and take drink orders that took place at 9:15 . They brought waters out . Placed food order at 9:30 . Food didn’t come out until 10:30 after we asked about it.. and those drinks we ordered at 9:15 that weren’t waters finally came out at 10:30 an hour and 15 mins after they were ordered . Mind you we had a party bus booked to pick up the kids which we missed because the service was so bad and it took so long for food.. and the place wasn’t even packed so that wasn’t an excuse . Ruined our daughter’s 16th birthday and a horrible experience. Management didn’t even care . Horrible. Also we saw 3-4 other tables get up and walk out because they were taking so long.. one table left at 9 and they brought the food out looking for them at 10:30. We advised them they left over an hour ago . Stay away services is horrible

Horrible experience. Don’t go on a weekend. They accepted multiple large reservations (of more than 15 people) and had 2 servers taking care of the entire place. When I ordered a drink, I was notified it would be 45 minutes until it would be ready? Food took over 2 hours to arrive. It was cold and hard when we got it. Not good and sooo overpriced. Horrible service and server was rude and overworked.

Saved a table too small for our reservation, moved us to the back, and subsequently gave the worst service I’ve ever received. Waitress never brought out drinks, forgot entire meals, and brought out cold food after ~1hr of waiting. Additionally, parties that were supposed to have the back room reserved started getting mad at our group for being moved there. Was incredibly let down given pleasant prior experiences.

Didnt ask what we wanted to drink when we finally ordered drinks they took 30 minutes to come out. Food took easily over an hour. NEVER go here for any kind of celebration. I’ve been here twice now, the first time was fine since the restaurant was empty when it was just me and one other person, but once a few people started to trickle in service slowed down. I went here last night for my birthday and it wasted my entire night. We had a reservation set for 9:15pm. When we arrived to the restaurant they said they were backed up and we weren’t seated until 9:45pm. What is the point of the reservation if you don’t honor them? There should be a limit on the number of people you allow in beforehand to avoid this. After we were seated, we weren’t even seen by a server until 10:20 pm, and that was only because we had to tell someone to serve us. Once we placed our order we did not get our food and drinks until 11 PM. We were never checked on or asked about anything. We were a party of 7, I understand being backed up if we had just walked in, but to be that unorganized to the point where you all can’t even do a good job is ridiculous. It wasted my entire night and since the gratuity was already added for that horrible service we just had to deal with it. My ginger glazed tuna was good, but don’t bother getting the basics like chicken teriyaki. You could find better at any random hibachi grill for half the price. The DJ was the only highlight of the night with his attempt to distract everyone from the chaos. The restaurant wasn’t even that packed because they still had empty seating everywhere. Even at the end when we were some of the only people left they still took forever to deal with our checks. So I think they just lack the capability to do anything in a timely manner. The staff needs to be replaced with people who actually know how to work the big parties they claim they can serve.

If I could leave 0 stars I’d still ask for negative stars. 3hr wait on food. 1.5 hour wait on drinks. You’d be better off ordering sushi from uber eats and drinks from the bar and then sitting at a table.
Only positive thing I could possibly say is the DJ was on point all night.

My waitress was awful. She was rude from the start, barely let anyone finish talking before she’d try to walk away. I went to celebrate my birthday because I saw it on tik tok but the waitress didn’t even acknowledge that it was my birthday or offer me dessert or sake like I had seen promoted. When it came to splitting checks, she gave everyone the worst attitude dropping them off and didn’t even tell us to have a goodnight or anything. As a server myself, I recognize good service and that was far from it!!! 0/10 service, 10/10 food though. Absolutely delicious. And the ambiance was incredible, music can be a bit loud but it was great music.

First of all, the VIP roll is one of the best rolls I’ve ever had. It’s so fresh and perfectly balanced. And I’m from Seattle, I know good seafood and sushi! The staff there made us feel so welcomed, they’re very attentive and helpful. Solid, well made drinks from the bar. The atmosphere vibes make even an early dinner feel posh and exciting. Nikko’s is a staple “must visit” in charlotte. A spot you’ll want to go to every week - for drinks at the minimum.try the kalbi too. Yummmm. Go check it out and bring your friends and family. It’s the perfect t gathering spot for groups, parties, celebrations, events. And a perfect day to day restaurant.

We used to love this place but things have clearly changed since a few years back. The wait times to get your sushi orders are extremely long - our wait time was 40 mins. It sounds like they are severely understaffed and that is a reminder for their management to stop overworking their employees. The food is not worth the price. It honestly tastes like any other Chinese spot. Not bad, but not worth almost $200 for a meal for four. They also add a 20% gratuity and never tell you this is automatically added on. We decided not to come back again.

Run run away. We made reservations to go there for my birthday dinner and we get there and the hostess sat us down but did not even think to mention that they couldn’t serve us food. So we sit down and the waitress comes and takes our drink orders and then leaves us there for about 15 minutes. We are looking through the menu when she comes back and tells us their kitchen is broke and they can only do sushi. we had already been there for over 20 minutes and no one mentioned this to us. So we tell her we just will get sushi and then she proceeds to tell us no we cannot get sushi if we originally wanted the other food. We were so confused and in the middle of this a fight breaks out in the middle of the restaurant on a Monday. What did all the waiters and people who work there do? LAUGH. They just sat there and watched it and did not one thing to separate these people and get them away. So we were pretty much told we couldn’t eat there so we left with everyone else. No apologies, no warnings, nothing from the people that worked there. Low class act.

Place sucks. The drama queen who claims to be a manager who is actually a hostess, refused to seat us at 9:50pm on a Wed. Written on the restaurants website is 10:30pm and Google says 11pm. From then told us they closed at 10:15🤔. So which is it? Meanwhile 3 others were sat and customers at the bar were still being served. Terrible customer service, no respect for customers. Lol clown up front claimed we were raging hell (manager supposedly).

First, the this place is a vibe. The music and ambience is 5 stars. However the service is terrible. We had to flag down out waitress the whole night, she never checked on us. We had to remind her of items asked for. Some of us did not receive our full order, my friend did not get her salad to her order, I never received my drink, the entrees came before appetizers, and so on. The wait time on the food was terrible. It was a party of 8 and no one said they would return again or recommend this place.

Came in with friends for my birthday, had to move my reservation for 10 people back an hour and they were very accommodating on a Saturday night. The host was nice and chatted with my sister and I. 5 people showed up that I wasn’t expecting and they still took care of us. Charlotte is one of my absolute favorite cities. I visit multiple times per year. I've been to Nikko several times for dine in as well as take out and every time they never miss.

Parking can be confusing as Nikko is at the corner of Arlington Ave and South Blvd. If you've ever been to Charlotte, then you know South Blvd is a very busy street so you can't really tell where to park. If you turn down Arlington and go all the way to back, there is a parking garage attached to the building to your right. Be careful to read the signage to know what levels to park so you do not get towed. Parking is free.

Nikko has both inside and outside dining options. I've done both. Typically, I go on either a Friday or Saturday night, and they always have a DJ playing great music, which I appreciate.

The service is good. I've never and any sort of issues at all with hostess, bartenders, or wait staff. Everyone is friendly and welcoming.

Nikki has a pretty decent sized menu with all sorts of options, including a full list of sushi. The food is consistently delicious. Some of my favorite menu items are the volcano roll, gyoza, shrimp tempura, spring rolls, kalbi (beef short rib), and firecracker shrimp, to name just a few.

If you're looking to enjoy some solid Asian cuisine and music, especially if you enjoy R & B, you will love this place.

We spoke with the manager and all she could say was “I can give you guys 10% that’s all I can do” paying the full price was never the problem, the bad customer service at your place of business was I wouldn’t recommend anyone coming here.

Today the elderly lady that brought my food out was rude and had an attitude because I asked for 2 sauces. I have no problem paying extra for a sauce but she never said that. It was an attitude because I asked for something else. It was as if I was bothering her or getting on her nerves. It was lunch time and the restaurant really didn't have anyone in there. You would think she would have appreciated my business. I tell everyone I know about them. But BELIEVE me, I will now tell everyone I know to never waste your time or money going there, because of the treatment I received.

We went on a Saturday night. Food was great and service was phenomenal. We loved the music and DJ. Only down side was there was a drunk guy that took his shirt off and was dancing around and even spun a waitress around in his shoulders but that wasn’t a reflection of the business. Hey there! I just wanted to share my experience at Nikko's, which was the first stop on my daughter's "Birthday Weekend" in Charlotte. Let me tell you, it was such a blast! The energy in the restaurant was high and the service was simply awesome! Joanna Nix, the owner, welcomed us with so much enthusiasm and made sure we had a fun night. The DJ was incredible and kept the party going all night long!

Now, I must warn you, if you are looking for a peaceful meal at a quality Japanese and Sushi Bar, Nikko's is not the place for you. But, if you're in the mood for a lively and enjoyable eating experience in a fantastic atmosphere while enjoying some high-quality Japanese and Sushi, then Nikko Japanese Restaurant and Sushi Bar is the place to be! Unethical waitress. Party of two who frequently go to this restaurant. Normally great experience. Food was the norm. Bill was $75. I'm a tipper. We always leave tips even if the service wasn't up to par. When the bill arrived I noticed there was a 20% gratuity added. FOR A PARTY OF TWO. as stated we tip really well. However, I was curious why this was added since I've never noticed it in the past. I asked the waitresses and she stated "20% was added bc it's a special night". Which was a regular Saturday, a rainy evening and no peak time. I responded "excuse me, I don't understand what special night means". She became annoyed and grabbed the receipt out of my hand and said "I'll take it off". She returned with the new bill minus the gratuity, and when I asked for a manager she said "I took it off" I still requested a manager. Prior to her going to get her.. she tried to gather all the bills to take the previous bill reflecting the 20%, but left one in error🥴 That immediately triggered me, and prompted me to ask for a manager. again. The manager was super understanding and apologetic. In the beginning she tried to make the argument that normally on a busy Saturday night people don't tip that's why she may have added it. I was not letting that be a feasible reason. We are not everyone and it was more about principal than the amount. She offered free food, appetizer or drink, but we didn't need any of that simply sharing our unhappy experience and wondering how many customers does she do this to who don't pay attention to the bill break down and still tip in addition to that.?! We could care less about free stuff. She was adamant about wanting to do something to offset a little bit of the unhappiness. I ended up taking a piece of lava cake which was thrown away bc I left it in the car. All this to say "check your bill". I'm sure she does this often which to me is STEALING from customers who are already willing to pay. I only left her $6.. I didn't want to give her anything but left the bare minimum simply bc my spirit doesn't allow me not to tip BUT I totally didn't want to give her rude a$$ anything after she snatched that bill and lied about the reason the 20% was initially added😡. Imagine how many people never noticed on a busy night?! Ughhhh I'm annoyed all over again 🙄

Food takes forever, we waited a whole hour & some minutes till food arrived. It’s pretty loud can’t even talk to the person right next to you. If you’re only coming for drinks I think it’s fine but not do have dinner.

Rolls and drinks were great! Service not so much! Waitress kept disappearing and then got an attitude when we spoke to her manager. I would go back though and hopefully get better service.

We had a reservation for 6:00pm on a Friday night so there was no wait at the door.There is free parking in the biulding for guests and tenants. At 6:00pm is was very quiet and empty but by the time we left at 8:00pm it was completely full and very loud ( there was a DJ that was playing music). Our waitress was very pleasant and kept our drinks full. The food did take longer than a normal sit down restaurant to come out but we were really there for the people we came with so it didn’t actually bother us. The food tasted pretty good, if it was cheaper I would go more often but it was kinda pricy. I spent 135$ for 4 different sushi rolls (6-8 pieces each roll )and 5 beers.

I recently dined at Nikko Japanese Restaurant and Sushi Bar and opted for the Veggie Yaki Soba. The dish was a delightful medley of fresh, colorful vegetables stir-fried to perfection, complemented by the savory flavors of the soba noodles. The presentation was impeccable, and the portion size was generous. I recommend Nikko for a satisfying and flavorful dining experience!

I’ve genuinely had better sushi from the grocery store. I had a tempura shrimp roll for $9. It was only 6 pieces and it only had fried shrimp in the roll. Usually they have at least cucumber and avocado and it’s 8-10 pieces. I had another roll that was fried and the fried outside was terrible. It was $18 which was a huge waste of money for again, just 6 pieces. Everything was super fishy (which is to be expected with literal fish, but it was just super intensely fishy, worse than I’ve ever had before). The wasabi was bright green, clearly dyed. The eel sauce was not like any eel sauce I’ve ever had. Basically my meal was $35 pre tip for 12 pieces of sushi and a (delicious) bowl of miso soup. Definitely not worth it.

Overrated prices for food and drinks. Food not even good as well as portion is super small for how much this place charge. The atmosphere meaning setup is cute. Music way to loud can't hear the person beside me talk. Waitress take for ever to come back to do anything and still don't bring what you need. If I could've given 0 starz I would've! Fun Atmosphere, but the service and the food went downhill after i went there about a yr ago. Went there on Sat Night on 10/21 and had my wife bday dinner there, we had reservation at 8;30 pm and didnt get seated till almost 9, then after we order our food we did get our food till almost 10;40 then the chicken hibachi i order the chicken was dry as hell, smd probably gonna be the last time i go there for a while.

Drink orders very slow due to busy night and over worked bartender but all drinks were top shelf.

This has got to be one of the most unique and entertaining dinner spots in Charlotte. Hibachi + Sushi + DJ + the owner Joanna running around in a cowboy hat with champagne bottles and strobe lights to get the party going. Definitely check this place out for your next celebration!

Every time I visit Nikkos with a large group, the customer service is horrible. When I once went with a party of 3, things went better. They can't accommodate a party of 8 or more. The service was absolutely horrible. You can not have 1 person take care of a group of 12. It's not fair to the group or the waiters/waitress.

Came in with abiut 30 minutes to spare on Monday. Asked if the kitchen was still serving and I was told I had 15 minutes to order. Took the server almost 6 minutes to walk up to me and she didn't introduce herself. Just asked hesitantly "...Do you know what you want?" Establishment is expensive and looks like a popping place, great location, other patrons in the restaurant... Expected a little better service for paying $90 for one person after tip. At least to know my server's name and that my presence is welcome.

We have been coming here for years until recently, the past few times, it’s more like a dance club vibe than dining. It’s so loud, we can’t even talk to each other. There’s only 3 of us! Ridiculous. Plus, the food has gone down in quality. We won’t be back.

We had the most amazing time! The atmosphere is a whole vibe. It is loud once the DJ starts but we came to dance too, so we were all about it. The bartender gave such a good drink selection based on what I wanted. We tried plenty of dishes & all were good. I was hoping the sushi would wow me & was all type disappointed after hearing from some friends. Maybe I just didn’t get the right specialty rolls. I tried the Hawaiian Pokey Roll and the tomatoes were a first for me when it comes to being added to sushi. (Not sure I loved it.) Looking forward to next time & trying a few more dishes.

Went there to celebrate my job promotion there was a small group. The server was horrible, it took almost 45 mins to get my sushi while everyone else got their food and ate theirs I was still waiting for mine. Then mine finally came out. Also they charged me an additional $$$$ which is nothing I signed for or authorized to pay. Needless to say I will never go back there again. I know of other sushi places with a lot better service!

I went to Nikko Japanese restaurant for dinner tonight with some friends. While I had high hopes for this restaurant as I had been wanting to try it for the past several months, I unfortunately was disappointed. The atmosphere was nice and the service was alright, but the food was just okay. The portions were small for the price, and the taste was nothing special, simply put it was just too expensive for the quality and quantity of food received.

Here are some of the more major details about my experience:

-The atmosphere was pretty nice. It was a small, intimate restaurant with a modern feel. The lighting was dim and the tables were spaced out nicely, so it was a quiet and relaxing place to eat.

-The service was alright. Our server was friendly and knowledgeable about the menu, but she wasn't very attentive to our table throughout the evening.

Overall, I would say that Nikko is a decent restaurant, but it's not worth the price. If you're looking for a great Japanese meal, I would recommend going to a different restaurant.

So this place is.. nice on the inside 1 .. they gave our table away so we waited at the bar and the bar tenders they weren’t dancing to the music they were not smiling they look like they wanted to join the people having fun at the table very rude didn’t even want to tip them I tried closing it my tab and two different lady served me and had to confirm my drinks I’m not sure if the last didn’t trust my word but from the beginning it gave racist energy but of course we got to sit and try some food 2 out of 10 would not recommend the waitress literally started bringing out to go boxes and forgot the sushi I order the main reason for coming to this place the music was loud and trash it was rave music mixed with kids bop music ugh over all service was a 1out of 10

Joanna Nix started Nikko’s in 1999, & has built a great place for food, fun and enjoyment.
It’s been recently remodeled and its decor is elegant sheik Japanese.

You can’t go wrong with the Sushi Boat🍣which has great Sashimi & Sushi selections from the freshest available. Great for 2-3 people. The hibachi items are also very delicious & tender. Nikko’s has a great wine, saki, & beer selections. Try the Lychee Martini🍸, it is wonderful😊 with nice sweetness!
The staff is always excellent and very attentive to everyone, making the service top notch!

Nikko’s is very popular on Friday & Saturday nights after 8-9pm, reservations are a good idea👍. Joanna’s Nikko’s has a large following over many years with the Uptown business crowd & professional athletes( even the visiting teams ), including the younger night-lifers💃🏻🕺🏻

Saturday night was trashy, and whatever the opposite of classy is. LOUD hip-hop DJ playing uncensored songs as LOUD as possible (and i actually like some of the music, it was just ridiculously too loud to eat a meal to). I couldn't hear my waiter, my waiter couldn't hear me. I had to sit on the same side of the booth just so I could make out what my wife was saying to me. It took 30 minutes to get a glass of wine. If you're 22 years old, this place might be for you. However, this is the wrecked Nissan Altima of sushi restaurants. The parking deck is a joke, with no elevator access unless you live in the apartments above. All the parking deck doors are locked, even the stairwells, which is a total fire hazard, but you have to park two floors up, so you're essentially trapped. The food was okay... I repeat, just okay. Not anywhere close to the hassle of parking, getting through a crowd, tolerating the noise, and getting your food (or even something to drink for that matter). I will never return to this establishment. If this is your idea of a good time, then enjoy. Just do it without me. Bleh.

The food and vibe was great. Definitely one of the best sushi places in Charlotte. Customer service could be improved. A person in our party waited over an hour for their food, while the rest of the party waited less than 30 minutes. Probably forgot to put the order in and we had to remind them and check in multiple times. No discount was provided for the inconvenience and no communication from the manager.

For sushi I'd say it's one of the better places in the city, but a touch short of the best. A little off in one respect or another.

It's definitely got a vibe. I get the impression it gets clubby at night, which isn't my jam, but for lunch during the week it was pretty chill.

Fish in their display case - some looked great, some looked so-so. The stuff that came out with my nigiri was good though, for sure. Nice knife work and preparation. Putting a wad of horseradish "wasabi" on top of uni seems like an odd choice; I'd take that right off.

Service - okay, but a little slow.

It's worth a shout.

Second time trying to dine here and they’ve been closed both times despite having “open” indicated on google along with corresponding operating hours. In addition, the online reservation system had availability and allowed me to reserve a confirmed time. For such a popular, uptown charlotte restaurant, I’d advise to not operate it with such loose structure, as this is not a ‘strip mall hibachi spot’.

They canceled our reservation less than 2 hours before our scheduled time. According to the restaurant, they had to close “due to some very unfortunate circumstances.” As a result I have to scramble to find last minute availability somewhere on Valentine’s Day! I won’t be giving them a second chance!

The only reason that this place is getting 2 stars is because the sushi was good. The DJ was terrible, words can’t even describe how bad it was but my ears are throbbing. Service was horrendous. It took 30 minutes for overly sweetened gin juice to come out. Always had good experiences in the past so this comes as a major disappointment.

Absolutely HORRIBLE. Dont believe the hype. Looks good on the website but the actual vibe and food was horrible to say the least. Our server kept bringing us the wrong order and the drinks where flat. The rice was overcooked and pretty close to being mushy, as well as the steak being uncooked and not prepared to the order. Wear earplugs,....the music is extremely loud. First and last time. Dine at your own risk.

Very unprofessional company if I first may say. Nikko’s Japanese Restaurant had discrepancies in their online reservations policy regarding the number of guest. Reservations were made January 7,2023 for 18 people. Received a call January 16th, 2023 regarding reservations. Mind you a week has passed no one has contacted anyone nor confirm these reservations. Kevin stated that for a party of 15+ it is considered private dining. Which is understandable. My concern was why a week later are you confirming reservations and notifying the guest of $1100 minimum. Especially when the reservation is 5 days away. My event coordinator has been trying to contact this company for a week trying to confirm the reservations however no answer. The “supposedly manager” Kevin’s poor excuse was that they are understaffed. That is not the guests concern nor problem that is a in house issue. Instead of compensating our party for the bad communication and inconvenience Kevin says sorry there’s nothing he can do. That itself is bad business anybody in business knows the customer is always right. I find it funny that they are so understaffed, but today January 17,2023 I received a call from a female that works at the company stating we need to sign the contract. She was very rude. In reality nobody sent over the contract and Kevin told my event coordinator that the contract could be signed the day of the reservation. Obviously this company has internal issues between workers and management. If Jim and Joanna Nix feel that this is the proper way to conduct business when the restaurant itself is at fault I do not want any parts with this company. Support this restaurant at your own risk they do not value their customers. It’s the principle of the matter not the money and I think these people don’t quite understand that. I rather pay Capital Grille $2500 for private dinning rather than Nikko’s based off how they treated us. It’s very unfortunate that all individuals cannot be treated equal in 2023.

First off this was a birthday dinner for myself. We booked a reservation for 630. We get there and I'm so excited to have a great dinner with my friends. We finally get sat around 650 and start ordering apps. The place turns into a nightclub at 730. Which we were not expecting for a restaurant. Loud music can't even communicate with my friends. Then our waiter goes to the bathroom at the same time my friend does and doesn't wash his hands. We sit there for the next 45 min in music so loud we can't even yell to hear each other. We spent hundreds of dollars to only have the worst experience I've ever had and I didn't even get to eat my food. I left with an empty stomach and worst experience ever. Truly astonished by how this place is a restaurant.

The waitress blatantly ignored my daughter and I to repeatedly cater to another table which made my 6yo cry. My daughter has been to every sushi restaurant there is and has been ordering for herself since she was 3. To see her being treated like that was heartbreaking. When I asked for a glass of plum wine, the waitress’ response confirmed that she thought we were ignorant and poor. It took everything in me not to return the same disrespect.
When I spoke to the manager, he smiled and said he understood but that was clearly lip service bc he did nothing to rectify the situation. To add insult to injury the waitress tried to blame the new guy instead of taking responsibility for the fact that she was clearly discriminating. I’m so disappointed that such an aesthetically beautiful place was so ugly. I can’t comment on the quality of food bc I left there with a bitter taste in my mouth

Today we celebrated my sister 20th birthday. She picked this restaurant for our family to dine at. The customer service was the worst I’ve seen in years. Our food was severed cold, we had to ask the waitress to refill our drinks. our waitress had attitude she didn’t make us feel welcome at all. After the waitress took our order she never spoke with again. The manager never came out to check on us once. Eating here was a major disappointment!

I've been here several times in the past, this will definitely be the last. I came in a few weeks ago with my daughter and was left standing at the host stand for awhile. We left, but we decided to try again last night for a birthday celebration. Disappointing experience. The service was poor, the waitress was not accessible. At some point we asked for Wasabi, the staff member looked at the table and said, "ok." Never came back. Asked the hostess for assistance, he told us to let the server know. But, we couldn't get her attention.

Horrible experience. Nikko was great several years ago. And I really was trying to hold onto those experiences. But, I won't be back.

I was and still am utterly disgusted by my meal that I had this past Friday night. Everything and I mean everything was gross. How the steak managed to be undercooked and chewy is beyond me. I accidentally bit my lip on the way to my friends birthday dinner and thus was unable to eat so I took mine home with me. I ate maybe 4 bites before I gave up. This was upsetting as I was hungry and looking forward to what I could not eat while celebrating my friend. The rice was gummy and the vegetables and flavorless. I more than anything am upset that I spent $59.15 and was denied my money back when I called. If 0 stars was an option, I’d select that.
