Decided to check out Tsuki on New Years Eve. We got there about 6:30pm and there was a wait for tables; however, the bar and sushi bar was empty. That's where we wanted to sit anyway. They were really hopping, and unfortunately, they didn't have a bartender. Thankfully, the dining room server was very good and took care of us as best she could. The sushi was very good and reasonably priced. There's an excellent list of sakes available as well. Will definitely be back before the next New Years Eve.

Server hovered all over us throughout our experience. We tipped our chef because all we got was sushi. The server followed us out and yelled no tip? Several times. Was treated very rudely the entire time. The sushi chefs however are AMAZING. But service is definitely not good at all. Will not return after this nights experience.

The service was awful. Four of us went out for dinner, and one of our meals arrived 30 minutes after the others. Our waitress kept saying it would be ‘just 2 more minutes,’ but it ended up being 20. By the time the last meal came, the rest of us had already finished eating. The waitress then offered a 50% discount on the late meal, which felt like a joke. When we asked for the meal to be free, she rolled her eyes and was very rude. Honesty about their mistakes would have prevented our frustration. There are many other steak houses and sushi bars in the area with far better customer service.

Last night after leaving the hair salon I stopped by Tsuki for a quick bite to eat. I ordered the hibachi chicken and shrimp. I never received eating utensils so I asked for them. The utensils were half clean so I asked for plastic wear. Food arrives and I’m half way finished when I noticed a hair in my food. I was done at that moment. I told the waitress Michelle of this issue and even showed it to her. I said I was done and she took my plate only to return later to say she would take the beverage off my order but would still charge me full price for the food. (It wasn’t the beverage that was compromised, it was my food!) Michelle’s action not only lacked poor customer service, but the audacity to think I still should pay the complete price on a dinner I didn’t even finish eating because there was a “hair” in! I’ve never had an issue with Tsuki’s food as I frequent there quite often, so it was very surprising to find hair in my food. I wasn’t looking for my meal to be fully comp, but Michelle could have offered half off for my dinner or a voucher to return. The service and food were totally unacceptable and I don’t think I’ll be returning.

The food was ok, pricing was very affordable, but the customer service was bad.
We were a party of 6 and had hibachi.
Our chef was funny and entertaining. The lady that sat us and took our order was a disaster.
Every time she asked for our order, I started out for myself or my child. She didn't even look at me, she just said she starts on the other side and looked annoyed the entire time. This happened 3 times, after that I didn't even say anything anymore.
I thought maybe it's just me that feels attacked, but even my husband and SIL said she was extremely rude. She never smiled or even tried to act friendly.
I would not recommend dining in. The server destroyed our experience and this was the first time we tried this place. I would not come back just because of her.

Don’t go here for sushi. I’m guessing it’s a hibachi focused restaurant because the sushi was mostly avocado, bland, and pricey. The salmon nigiri was fishy, the cocktails were disappointing, this place is probably meant for nonalcoholic families with small children for the display at the hibachi tables, nothing substantial beyond that.

I work in the office park across the street and get lunch here very often. The food and atmosphere is about what you’d expect, but the service is what keeps me coming back every week. The staff here really makes you feel like family, many thanks to Michelle and Yuki for always making my dining experience a warm and friendly one. Highly recommend the lunch bento boxes.

I ordered the teriyaki chicken bento box with sushi. I also ordered edamame. The bento box was supposed to come with a miso soup. After 20 minutes, my meal my came out. No soup or edamame. The teriyaki chicken was rubbery. I got sashimi instead of the extra sushi. I asked for my miso soup and when I took a sip of it, I almost couldn’t stand to swallow. The waitress was watching me take a sip of the soup. It tasted liked a chemical. I’ve had miso soup probably 100x in my life, and this was easily the worst. I honestly think there was something in there. My sprite was also very flat and tastes like the soda lines had never been cleaned. It was also almost $40 for just me. I never leave bad reviews, but yikes. Also all the workers were outside smoking cigarettes.

My experience with the food was excellent, thanks to the chef, who proved to be a true professional. Besides preparing delicious dishes, they were very kind, patient, and added a touch of humor while answering our questions, which made the lunch a warm and pleasant experience.Unfortunately, the service provided by the waiter did not match the quality of the food. While filling my glass with water, they spilled it on the table, soaking my phone, without offering a proper apology. Later, when serving the soups and salads, some of the contents spilled outside the plate. Instead of replacing the dishes, they simply cleaned up and left, which was disappointing. These mistakes and the lack of attention to detail impacted the overall experience, which is why my rating is two stars.

This place has no character. No proper greet as I walked in as if i didnt belong there. Older lady waiter Michelle act as if she is impatient. Turned and walked away without saying anything when i wanted to double check something on the menu with her.
When i first received my food, she never stopped to check if I needed anything else.
Before i was done eating, she brought the bill and sat it on my table. When she seen my plate was about empty, she rushed over to pick up all my plates, but didnt ask if i needed a to go box for my salad and soup, in which the salad wasnt touched.
Then she had the nerve to ask me if i wanted more water in my glass when the whole table is cleared off.
When leaving, the other worker at front desk didnt even say Thank you, Bye, have a nice day.
The salty hibachi chicken dinner wasnt worth the $20 price. Especially with that type of service.

Summary: Food poisoning, inappropriate/rude service, ok-ish atmosphere.

I am extremely disappointed in my dining experience this evening. I was excited to go get sushi here, but after experiencing bad food and what I considered to be extremely inappropriate service from our waitress Michelle, I will not be back.

Michelle was an older middle aged Asian women with glasses.

Considering the fact that all she did was take our order and bring it to us, and only check on us twice down I did not experience exemplary customer service.

After she had brought us our food, she proceeded to sit at the bar with her back toward us, eating food and scrolling on her phone. Since both me and my dining partner felt something was off with the food, and given the awkward tension coming from the only other table on our side of the restaurant that was seated directly beside us and their “conversation”, we decided we wanted to leave.

After waiting for around 10 Minutes for our server to come over to our table, my dining partner approached her requesting the check. She gave us our check and then proceeded to sit back down and scroll on her phone and eat.

(Her coworker had noticed that we were ready to pay and had taken up our check and returned it to us)

My dining partner had left his to go box on the table, and when he had turned around in the parking lot to fetch it, he was met with the server (Michelle) who was holding the checkbook.

She gave him his to go box and then proceeded to question him regarding the amount of tip he had left her. He had tipped her five dollars (Again, considering with the service was not exemplary, and the fact that we both at that point knew we had received food poisoning, combined with the awkward atmosphere we did not decide to leave a 20% tip).

She had questioned him on whether his tip amount was $15. When he responded no it was five dollars She then proceeded to tell him that 15% was the minimum amount that was required. Keep in mind that at no point in our dining experience did I see that policy written in their menu, within their restaurant, nor was I verbally informed of this policy.

When my partner had questioned her about this 15% minimum policy, and had asked why there was an option for the customer to decide the amount of tip they wanted to leave if there was already a minimum required amount she then proceeded to say that “They have to pay their staff”.

When was it the customer so responsibility to pay you a minimum wage? We don’t own that business and we didn’t hire you so why are we being confronted about paying the staff???

As a customer, I am disgusted. I am not your manager, I did not hire you, I am not responsible for your wages and while I do sympathize with the fact that I know servers do not get paid a usual state minimum wage I am not your boss and am not responsible for your compensation.

After my dining partner had gone back-and-forth with her a couple times about this “policy” she then proceeded to tell him “good luck” and then glared at me as she walked inside.

I had previously been to this restaurant a couple of times, and I will say that on the hibachi side of the restaurant I have never experienced this kind of behavior and all of the chefs had been extremely nice.

I would encourage you if you do decide to bring your business here to only do the hibachi side.

Tsuki is a combination hibachi and sushi restaurant. We've gone there for sushi in the past and really enjoyed it. This time around we visited for Memorial Day to have hibachi lunch. The food was wonderful and the value (at least for lunch) was phenomenal!

I ordered salmon, my wife got steak, and our pescatarian kid got shrimp. We were all happy with the flavor and size of our portions. I ate my whole salmon right there, while my wife and kid ate half and brought the rest home for leftovers (again, highlighting the value of this meal).

The "show" was typical for a hibachi place with the usual jokes about egg rolls and the flames coming off the grill, etc. Entertaining, yes, but it's the same as anywhere really.

The flavors imparted on the rice, veggies, and salmon were wonderful. Just lots of soy and garlic and butter. Extremely yummy preparation. The veggies were grilled perfectly and absorbed so much flavor from the sauces used and from the charring on the griddle. The rice browned so wonderfully and absorbed so many flavors from the food cooking around it. The salmon developed a fantastic glaze on it from the sauces and also from picking up the flavors from all the cooking during this session as well. The flavors were just top-notch.

Time for a negative. Getting hibachi here would be a challenge for someone who doesn't eat meat. Nobody asked if any of us were pescatarians, which seems like a fair question considering two of us ordered seafood only. Sadly, the hibachi griddle was used for my wife's steak and also for the fish and veggies. The same utensils were used as well. So the steak was sliced with a knife and then that same knife was used to slice the tails off of the shrimp. The same section of the griddle was used for the whole meal. So after the steak was done cooking, the shrimp were moved right onto that section where they probably absorbed the meat juices left behind. The veggies followed suit, which could have been a problem if one person had seafood allergies. It was rather disappointing for someone who pays attention to such things and could be extremely upsetting to a vegetarian or pescatarian who was there to eat and observed it. And it could be dangerous for someone with allergies. Each griddle could potentially have 8 or 10 people sitting around it, not all from the same party, so the potential for cross-contamination is quite high for each seating.

Back to the positives - the value!

Some differences between the lunch and dinner portions:
1) With lunch, you choose between soup and salad vs. getting both with dinner.
2) With lunch, you get fried rice vs. getting both rice and noodles with dinner.

I think that's the only difference I could tell - which is amazing, because the lunch price is about half that of the dinner price. For just some noodles and soup, it's well worth it.

Definitely visit Tsuki for hibachi lunch, it is extremely well worth it for both your wallet and your mouth!

Sadly, time for us to find a new location for hibachi. This has been our go to place for many years, the overall experience, quality of food, and service have been going down hill consistently. Despite our friendliness and sharing that we were here for a very special occasion, the show didn’t get any better, surprisingly it got worse. It’s gotten crappier every time. So it’s a pattern. The food was also very salty. 4 simpler orders for 2 adults and 2 kids, no alcohol and we racked up $130 in blaze.

I don't know how to express my feelings about this place 🤷‍♀️. The problem with going out to eat hungry, is that you are more likely to eat the food anyways. This place is way overpriced. But ok, let me do my thing, tell you why the stars 😔. Ambiance- Saturday night, place is literally empty. We got the menu, waiter was kind of in a rush, not too friendly, whatever. Food - 3-5. : My goal was to eat sushi, but almost of all of them had cream cheese. I love cream cheese...on a slice of bread. I had the chicken and steak hibachi, it comes with rice but the rice was dry, kind of a microwave reheat flavor. The meat and veggies were good. Soup was a clear water with some flavor, for $25, please add a miso soup! Salad was iceberg lettuce with a dressing. Pro tip - There is cucumber and carrots at a low cost in the market. maybe add some? Price - 2/5- way overpriced. My fiancee and I don't care about price but we have some expectations if you are charging $30 for a Bento box. Place was clean, wait time was reasonable. Memorable? Absolutely not. We will not go back🥹.

I used to be a regular at this place; however, I stopped going several months ago. The reason, is that the restaurant is filthy and food quality has declined. I gave the hibachi another try over Christmas and the experience was worse than ever. Call the Health Department! The place was filthy. We contemplated leaving but the hibachi grill and plates were clean enough. I'll cover the service first. The service was non-existent short of taking our order and delivering the bill. I ordered the salmon to be cooked well. The hibachi chef cooked it medium rare. When I asked that he cook it through, he became combative and insisted it was cooked. I was stunned by his reaction. He took the salmon and placed it back on the grill and was pressing down on it so it would cook quickly. That's not how you cook fish. I ended up with a smashed, crumbled piece of salmon that was still raw in the middle. I didn't press it because this young man was nasty. The hibachi "chef" claimed to have over 2 years experience. Really? He also undercooked the veggies. The miso soup was a bowl of clear broth with nothing in it. I sipped it and it tasted like they forgot to rinse the soap off when they washed the bowl. The rest of my party commented that the food was less than "okay", veggies under cooked and overall, the food was under seasoned. Also, can they replace that filthy curtain that separates the dining room from the restrooms and kitchen? God knows what's growing on that thing. I won't be back for hibachi or carry out. This place needs a visit from the Health Department.

It was our first time visiting this place and I was so excited to eat and catch up with a friend. But the older female waitress completely ruined our evening.

All these reviews are highlighting the food, but burying the service issue in long text. This type of service is unacceptable. DO NOT SPEND YOUR MONEY HERE. So disappointed. I don’t think I’ve ever been spoken to like that in a restaurant.

Very disappointing. Booked a reservation for my very excited daughter and the chef didn’t talk to our party or interact at all. My daughter asked him questions and he ignored her. This is about as average as you can get with a hibachi/sushi combo. The sushi selection was incredibly limited, so I would not go here for sushi alone, unless you have members in your party who dislike it.

The sushi was however very good. So if you're overwhelmed by choices and maybe want to try something new, this place could be good for you!

The hibachi portions are pretty generous too, almost certainly you'll be asking for a box.

The service was good, with the exception of our hibachi chef. I don't if it was an off day or what, but he just wasn't into it. I get doing the same gags over and over for 8 hours being terrible, but that's the game we're playing.

The atmosphere was pretty meh. Nothing memorable. It was clean, however.

Overall, I don't see myself going back. But I'm not mad I went to begin with. There's certainly other restaurants in the area worth choosing instead.

I came here for the 1st time today because I was in the mood for Hibachi. My favorite Hibachi spots were closed until around 4 so I decided to try this place. I spent nearly $50 on my food and it was a waste of my money I am so utterly disappointed in how they chose to handle my business. I ordered Steak and Shrimp and Also an order of wings. I get home and open up my styrofoam box and there I find 4 pieces of shrimp and 4 Very tiny pieces of chopped steak. Never have I ever been SOOO Disappointed in a restaurant. I called and management insisted that I ordered a lunch platter and said that 4 pieces of shrimp is there for acceptable. All I could say is “WOW NEVER AGAIN .” don’t waste your Hard earned money here, just go to Kabuto. That’s my take on this place.

The food is excellent and very reasonably priced but the service isn't exactly the best. I understand that it was a busy night, but we were made to wait when there were empty tables in plain sight. Our waitress, whom we've had for more than one visit, just seemed to want to get customers in and out - not very personable. She became very impatient when taking our order. However, we've never been disappointed by the food - very tasty.

My boyfriend and I went here to have dinner here on Monday and we won’t be returning. We were quickly sat down and ordered a soda and a water. We had an urgent personal matter with his job come up as soon as we were settling in and he had to leave to the car for a moment. I wanted to follow him to see if all was well and I asked the waitress if it’s okay if I came back. She looked at me as if I was crazy and said I had to leave my phone or wallet here to ensure I came back… I didn’t think much of it so I left my small wallet there. I went outside and I quickly saw my boyfriend was not okay so I ultimately decided it was best to leave and handle what was going on. Obviously we had no control that this would happen but the older waitress did not care even when I tried to explain. We had not even ordered food yet! She followed me while I was trying to walk out of the restaurant and harassed me because I didn’t pay for a soda we didn’t even touch. She was getting loud with me and made a scene over this. So greedy and unprofessional! I had never once experience this kind of treatment from this place, or any place, and we had been here several times. I hope the older waitress gets her act together. We don’t plan on coming back to a place like this no matter how good the food may be.

One of the best experiences I have ever had a Japanese steakhouse in my life. The food was very good. Service was exceptional and the place was very clean and inviting as well. Always a great experience here and never the greasy food you get at other habachi spots. We usually make a reservation ahead, and I'd recommend you do, but this time we came without one and there was enough room for us to join a table. I know a lot of Hitachi places can be hit or miss but this one is a big hit. I'd recommend trying the scallops here, they were shockingly good. We've done the lobster tail once, but not something I'd do again. Plenty of food and the kids have loved every cook we've gotten here. They also have a solid sushi menu to choose from.

First time here everything was so good! Crab rangoons were tasty, service was quick and accommodating. We got a few small rolls and a Cherry Blossom roll and a Fantasy roll. Every component was perfect, the rice was deliciously seasoned, the shrimp was crispy and hot, the spicy tuna all together was so yummy! 10/10 for a sushi experience.

We were pleasantly surprised by this place. We ordered a beef and broccoli, chicken stir fry lo mein, and a volcano roll. We are got a few egg rolls. They were all pretty good! The beef and broccoli was cold, however, which was a little disappointing. However the 7 year old approved highly of the lo mein and egg rolls. Overall the food was really good and we will absolutely be back to give them another try!

I’ve been there for lunch many times. The food is always fresh and delicious. Last night we had dinner for the first time. It was wonderful. We were very happy with the waiter and chef. Been to this place three times. But this is the very last time. My wife and I was so disappointed and disrespected. The girl at the front desk was cool. My wife asked if we can sit at the bar. The waitress ( Michelle) older lady was very rude towards her. So much so you can tell she was racist. We sat at a table, and that waitress was nice. But here comes Michelle. She goes to the white couple table and take their order with smiles and niceness. Comes over to our table and just put the receipt on table and walked away. Just a mean and hateful lady. We had enough. We paid and left. Never will go here again.

Three stars just because the hibachi chef was high energy and entertaining. Overall the food was bland and/or overcooked. Noodles and fried rice got a bit burnt and was speckled with burnt pieces throughout. Shrimp and lobster were over cooked and hard to chew. Yum yum sauce was runny like water..sadly the service was great for me and the hibachi chef was awfully nice. Unfortunately the food was not good, especially for the expensive prices.

Worst service ever (from Michelle)
The place itself is very vood, we've been visiting it for about 4 years now.
But the waitress that goes under the name Michelle is very rude, doesnt care about guests. Today we had to wait for our foor for almost an hour and at least 20 min of that our food was just standing next to the chef. When we finally got Michele's attention she gave us an expression as if we were supposed to take it ourselfs. It wasnt that busy for her to blaim that she's occupied. And after we left she went outside asking us for tips! Thank God she didnt chase us.

SLOW and RUDE service. Waited for a couple of sets for over 50 minutes. It wasn't even busy, plates were ready staying on the shelf most time. Our server just brought the sushi after almost an hour of waiting like nothing happened, she didn't even apologize or say anything. When we left she followed us rudely asking for tips! Totally unacceptable!

Wasted my time drove to this restaurant on a reservation that was already confirmed. When I checked in with the hostess I was told it would be couple of minutes to seat us. Couple of minutes turned to 20 minutes and a white family that checked in after was seated before us. When I asked the manager told me we have to wait a lot longer, mind you our appointment was for 7:00 PM and it was already 7:22PM. He also told us there are no seats available for our appointment after having already wasted our time waiting. I am usually not pressed about spending my dollars to businesses that have no regards for their customers but had to put this out here for other people to know the manner in which this establishment might be treating some of their customers.

My husband and I wanted a fun date bight with an experience, so instead of melting pot we ended up choosing hibachi. We had a few amazing experiences a couple years ago at tsuki, so we swang by for lunch. Since they didn't have any other parties for hibachi, they said we would have to either sit at a table or wait for 2 additional parties to get there. We ended up asking for reservations at 6pm in the hopes of other parties wanting to eat hibachi, too. We were sat promptly but then had to wait until just before the chef came out to order drinks and an appetizer, so we didn't get out edamame until the rice was on our plates. My sake came out when the rice was cooking. The rice was good, noodles were smushy, and veggies were crunchy. There was almost no interaction from the chef. There is a slim white chef who is a total trip, ans our entire table ended up watching him instead of our chef because ours would simply not interact. Our chef scooted out and didn't offer a refill on sauces before he left, so the servers tried to charge us for additional sauces when we were packing up our left overs to go. Overall, our drinks were left empty, service was slow, the entertainment factor was zilch and its a fight to get what you've already paid for. We should have gone with melting pot - at least it would have been more entertaining.

Our chef was fun, very informative about the process while cooking mixed with standard Hibachi humor, which no knock to the chef needs to be revamped and should be tailored to adults, crowd permitting. Hibachi rice n noodles were Flavor was rich with soy sauce could use more depth. yum yum sauce was 2/5 very runny and again weak in flavor. The sushi roll was yummy (spicy crunchy salmon). My favorite part of this experience was the house salad dressing and the great customer service

Terrible Customer Service. First, we waited 30 mins for our server to come take our drink orders. Second, while she was taking my order, she suddenly ran off (literally) then came back and didn’t even apologize. THEN when we finally got our food, it was cold and my steak was over cooked and I did not have my mushrooms AND I was given noodles when it came with rice. She did not ask if we needed any refills, walked by us several times with no acknowledgement.. Let’s not forget about when she took our order then instead of putting it in, she went and took another tables order. We were not offered any togo plates and when we asked someone else they would not bring one because they were not our servers.
