I had the loveliest time dining at Shiraz Kitchen and Wine Bar a few nights ago. The staff are so caring and attentive (Adila especially!) and made sure everything was up to our liking. The food was great, so tasty - traditional Persian dishes, fresh pita bread, and extremely generous portions. At the end of our meal we got surprised with dessert. We were regularly checked up on, and the ambience is so warm and cozy. I can’t wait to come back!

I ate here recently with my hubby and it was a great experience all around. The ambiance is chic and cozy and the food and cocktails were delish. I had an eggplant stew and hubby got the beef koobideh. Both were excellent, and I appreciated that there were a few different vegetarian options to choose from. For dessert, I got the saffron ice cream and halvah, which I am still dreaming about as I type this. It’s a lovely date night spot for some tasty Persian food, highly recommend!

This was a huge surprise! The lunch menu is short and varied. Best lamp shank floating in an amazing soup / broth - rich and delicious! The side of rice was generous. The chicken kabob received rave reviews and the Mediterranean salad as well. I want to explore the 'stew' next time! EXCELLENT everything however if the floor to ceiling windows had a curtain of sorts, it would complete the ambience since Mamaroneck Avenue sidewalk is right there. This restaurant also has its own sushi bar which I would also love to experience! Other than the naked windows, I would give it five stars!

It was one of my favorite restaurant with persian/ Iranian cuisin. I enjoyed the minimalistic and chic interior of the dinning hall.
We had Dolmeh as a starter and we absolutely loved it! Lamb chops were good but Koobideh was not even close to what is should taste. Morover, the portion of food was also good and enough for a person.
Staff and specially turkish lady who served our table were so friendly, kind and responsive to our requests. I recommend this restuarant if you are around

Today I visited this restaurant again and had such a bad experience I decided to update my review. Ordered from the lunch menu, and as usual the food was good. But when the check came they had charged me dinner menu pricing for similar dishes. I pointed this out and they argued. I showed line by line from the menu how they had the wrong price. Oh, we'll redo the check. Ten minutes later it came again and pricing was still wrong (closer but wrong). I asked the manager for assistance and he went to "help" calculate. After five or so more minutes still no check. I asked and manager said I need to give time to correct things. (Why?) Eventually bill came, calculated correctly. As I tried to pay one of the staff came and blamed the error on her colleague. I didn't care whose fault at that point but felt her behavior was unnecessarily mean. As I left, walking past the manager, he didn't express even a single word or gesture of apology.
I've downgraded my rating of service and overall impression because I feel this was particularly horrible.

SERVICE: Nice people for the most part. The service needs work, though. Had to order bread 3 times. Was given a butter knife to cut my chicken. 1 napkin for 2 people... etc.
FOOD: Not bad but not as good as it used to be when they were in Elmsford. The chicken was dry and didn't have much taste. Not much flavor overall.
ATMOSPHERE: Atmosphere is very nice and pleasant. Great lighting.

Food was not bad. However, when you order the kabob meal, you don't have rice and salad. You have to pick between rice or salad or fries. Additionally hummus was an additional order. I want to say food wasn't bad but the fact that you have to order things separately is a bit absurd. Service was great they were attentive. Hummus was slightly under seasoned.

Shiraz gets it right every time! From the apps, soups, vegan and meat dishes - the flavor and quality is excellent. Great wine and cocktail selection too. But we don't just come for the Persian food, their sushi and sashimi is the best in White Plains. We were skeptical too, so don't take my word for it and try it yourself!

Came here with my wife to try something different. Always loved persian food and it was my wifes first time trying a new cuisine. My wife ordered the Chicken Sultani and I ordered the Beef sultani and as the appetizer we ordered Mirza. The beef and filet mignon wss very tasty but the chicken needed a little more seasoning in my opinion. Although, not the best Persian restaurant i tried. It was still very good. The Mirza appetizer was very tasty too. Delicious and healthy. The homemade hot sauce is very hot but good at the same time. Be warned that it isnt mild, its extremely hot! The service was good as well. Adile our server, was very friendly and attentive. Water was always poured and the servers always asked if we needed anything. Will definitely be back again!

A truly delightful dining experience with its refined cozy ambiance, attentive staff, and exceptional Persian cuisine. Highlights: authentic kashk o bademjan, smoky mirza, and saffron ice cream. The portions are generous, and the flavors are that of the best of home recipe cooking. While all dishes are noteworthy, the lamb shank entree dish stands out w/ rich, and savory flavors. Shiraz is worth a visit.

We visited Shiraz Kitchen & Wine Bar on Friday night with friends, while the place is very cozy and the ambiance is nice, we could not get over the service. The waiter was so annoyed before we even ordered, some of us have allergies so we always ask what's in the dish, how its prepared etc but he wasn't friendly or inviting, instead he was grunting and making faces when we asked if they can prepare something without oil. He kept saying just no no we cant make any changes. We have never experienced this, we've dined all over the country and visited hundreds of restaurants they're always so nice about these things yet this waiter was rude and not helpful. I would not recommend Shiraz Kitchen and would definitely not return.

One of the best Kashk o Bademjan appetizers that I ever had in a restaurant. Very authentic and tastes like home made. The kabab and rice (Soltani) had a taste and smell that transport you back to old Persia. Very fresh, tasty, and well prepared food paired with a welcoming atmosphere and excellent customer service. Must try.

My absolute favorite restaurant in White Plains. I go every chance I get. First of all, I lived on NYC's west side and am accustomed to quality sushi and believe it or not, this is easily the best sushi i've found in Westchester. I can appreciate you might be skeptical - it's in a Persian restaurant after all, - but it's true. Alfred (the sushi chef) is incredibly skilled and all the fish is impressively fresh. I've never had a bad experience and I've come her at least thirty times. The Persian menu is equally impressive; I always get the Ash Reshteh and I sometimes get one of their stews. The service is great and extremely personable; the prices are very reasonable for the food quality and I really couldn't recommend the place enough. Please give it a try! You won't be disappointed.

Last night my husband and I had an exceptional dining experience at Shiraz in White Plains. It was our first time visiting the restaurant and the owner was extremely gracious and provided us with a detailed overview of the menu and the origin of the food. He personally recommended 3 dips - hummus, eggplant and yogurt , the stuffed organic dates, and the Mediterranean salad to start. Everything was exquisitely delicious with an amazing range of flavors, textures and aromas. I ordered the branzino and my husband had the lamb kabbab which were complimented by two different rice options. The entrees were also perfectly cooked accentuating the natural flavor of the food while exposing us to a new array of incredible flavors included orange zest and stewed cherries in our rice. We ended our meal by sharing a baklava and pistachio gelato dessert that completed our culinary adventure. Everything was balanced by a perfect bottle of Malbec wine which we choose from their extensive wine list. We HIGHLY recommend Shiraz as the perfect romantic night out for couples seeking a new gourmet experience. We will definitely be back very soon.

We have been a regular at Shiraz for the past 10+ years. They used to be located in Elmsford, NY. They relocated to White Plains NY in the past two years. They kept the same kitchen and serving team and moderately same menu (with some new options from East Asian cuisine).
Their Persian food is amazing, we have taken many friends there from all ages and kids as well, all have been happy customers :) Their vegetarian options as well as their kebabs are very tasty, and well served. Their staff is always nice, talkative and willing to answer all your questions about the dishes. Their owner is typically there and checking on customers. They do have a well deserved Bib Gourmand from Michelin (2019).
Wishing them many more decades in their new location!

We went on a Thursday and there was a live performance and there was no extra charge. It was absolutely wonderful atmosphere. The service was impeccable, with them checking on us and having conversations. The menu has multiple vegan options which is great. I had the hummus entree and it was delicious. I would highly recommend it especially if you are looking to having a dinner with great atmosphere and good music.

Had a great experience at this restaurant. Food was delicious - it was our first time having Persian food - similar to Greek, but with slightly different spices/flavors that were all delicious. They have such interesting choices of rice, I tried the orange zest/pistachio/almond and it was so good (will have to go back to try the others!). Our group shared three appetizers, each had different main courses, and dessert, and we all enjoyed the food. The staff was very friendly, explained each dish, and made great recommendations. Will definitely be back!

Just came back from dinner. It was fabulous! First my wife is gluten intolerant and she could order almost everything on the menu! We enjoyed sharing a Mirza appetizer. I had the chicken kabob with split salad and rice. My wife enjoyed Crispy Falafel Polo. Both were delicious. We shared a desert and a bottle of wine. Sergio was our waiter and he was excellent, informed and very friendly. We expect to be become regulars because the food service and ambiance was more than expected!

Reza and his staff were incredible. My family and I stumbled upon his restaurant and welcomed us right in with 2 crazy kids. Excellent! I had been wanting to try this place for a few months now and my coworker and I decided to come here for lunch. I got the Chicken Chops with the Shiraz Salad and she got the Saffron Chicken with Basmati Rice. We both absolutely loved our Entrees. The drinks were amazing, as well as the presentation and needless to say, the service was up to par. Shiraz has moved locations and this new White Plains location is truly fabulous. The atmosphere is inviting and special; tables are nicely spaced with plenty of room for all manner of groups. We came recently for a date night and were there from 7:30 until close. For me this is a testament to the food and environment; I normally can’t sit and enjoy a leisurely dinner without feeling a little antsy. Here, I felt almost at home. That said, my home is hardly as inviting.
The food is truly spectacular. I love Persian food and have long-loved the menu at Shiraz. I’m a creature of habit, and rarely venture from the ash (Persian noodle soup), the vegetarian stew (where I substituted the rice offered with their fava bean and dill rice because it is ELITE), and the saffron and rose water ice cream. This meal alone would be enough to feast on for days (I turn my leftovers into breakfast with the addition of a cracked egg), we were joined by a couple and shared several appetizers. All were delicious, but my favorite is always the kashke bademjon. A close second are the feta-stuffed dates.
You’re making a mistake if you walk past Shiraz. Go in, leave full and happy.

This place is a must visit if you live nearby or are visiting the area! The food was incredible (in particular, the falafel was crispy, fresh and perfectly seasoned and the saffron rose water ice cream was probably the best ice cream I’ve ever had in my life), the atmosphere was lovely and the service and staff were FANTASTIC. We went with some friends and had two toddlers with us. The children wanted to walk around a bit and they did some coloring (and unfortunately got some crayon on the table cloth). Everyone was so understanding and kind. They even gave one of the children a lovely flower, and brought some complimentary sushi to our table for them to enjoy. We didn’t have one complaint and will absolutely be regulars here since we live so close by. It’s great to have such a nice option in the area. We hope that their business continues to thrive so that they can stay around for a long time!

Simply a terrible waiter, he always responds with only a few words when I questioned about the dishes they serve, no friendly smiles, seems impatient and throws the menu like a fast food restaurant! The prices are expensive with small portions, taste average for a upscale pricing, charge 20% gratuity if you have a party of 6+ even with 2 small child! Horrible experience and will not return again for us!

Shiraz is still the yet to be discovered and immensely enjoyed in White Plains and the NY suburb Tri-States. . Whether it is for weekday lunch or dinner, a couple sublimed drinks or the Sushi bar, or the more elaborate weekend family eats or gatherings and live “Jazzy JAZX” music , or be it at times a most exquisite private party and surreal ambiance, Shiraz has already become a fine cuisine destination which the patrons take pride In experiencing and regularly returning to great times….great food drink quality ingredients, excellent service, receptive to patrons’ suggestions, and with convenient location in the heart of vibrant white plains, there is no need to travel long to enjoy a most sublimed culinary experience.

PRECOOKED MEAT! I absolutely love going to restaurants (especially those that open after our pandemic) and reviewing how great popular dishes are from the cultures represented in the establishments. I had the beef soultani and the beef kabob, both lacked flavor and I even noticed one side was cooked more than the other. Both plates had very dry and unsalted taste to both meats.

Two friends and I enjoyed a wonderful dinner here last night. The restaurant is lovely, with nice background music, and a relaxing, but elegant, feel. They have a delightful cocktail menu of original and delicious options that use ingredients and seasonings appropriate to the Persian cuisine. We ordered cocktails we'd never seen before and much enjoyed them. The wine list is extensive for a small restaurant with a fairly limited menu. But the menu is enticing, with more dinner options than appear on the online version. We shared 2 appetizers and 1 small plate, every dish delicious. Accompanying homemade pita is great. My friends ordered beef stew and vegetable stew entrees. I had an unusual dish of zucchini hummus, with olives, pickled onions, walnuts and other, with pita. All of our entrees were very good. We shared the 3-piece baclava dessert. Service could not have been more welcoming or attentive. The woman tending to our table must be a manager... she was so warm and hospitable.

This place definitely has ambience and the staff were nice, but don’t waste your money on the food. The individual who waited on us was extremely jovial, but he kept coercing us to order more food. We just wanted two entrees but the waiter made it sound like there may not be enough food, or that we’d be waiting a while for the food to come out, so we should get something to tide us over … it was a confusing exchange but I begrudgingly agreed to get a chicken sushi roll to start, then lamb shank, and a shandiz platter (grilled chicken and lamb chop with rice, salad, and fries).
1.) chicken roll - the tempura chicken was burnt and the roll was in itself tasteless
2.) shandiz platter - neither the chicken, nor the lamb, nor the rice, were seasoned. It looked like it came with some kind of green sauce … no flavor there either. We also didn’t get any of our salad or fries, and because we were shocked by how flavorless the food was, we didn’t bother asking!
3.) lamb shank - the only dish that contained salt. The shank was cooked well and the meat was falling off the bone. The rice (bhagali pulao) left a lot (of salt and flavor) to be desired … the fava beans in the rice tasted undercooked.
The food was so bad that I had to cook my daughter another meal at home since she wouldn’t take a second bite of anything on the table.

We went for a birthday celebration the atmosphere of the restaurant is beautiful unfortunately the food did not reach our expectations. The tenderness of the meat was great but extremely bland. We were all so confused bc we read the reviews prior to reserving. Our appetizer never came out the service was super slow. The server Ramon was sarcastic, and constantly messing up the orders with out any care. Unfortunately I would not recommend this place to anyone I know.

This is the best restaurant in White Plains. The food is always fresh and delicious. Amazing hospitality and atmosphere. Side note: Freshest sushi in Westchester hands down. Seems odd but its true.

The owner is a real class act. An elegant Iranian man with a superior dedication to delivering authentic elevated Persian cuisine. It’s so chic, modern, comfortable and delicious. The appetizer of an herb salad is spectacular. The sushi chef is spectacular as well. I love this place! I’ve been all over the world and eaten in great places. I’m a closet chef and can clearly state that this is a keeper in White Plains and beyond. Eat here! You will be pleased.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Shiraz restaurant and I must say, it was truly an exceptional experience. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted warmly by the staff and seated promptly at a cozy table. And the best part of it all was ADILA, the server. She is exceptional.

Food had no flavor what so ever. The cocktail drinks we ordered had to get them remade because of the lack of bartender expertise. Waiter was so rude, then had to get another lady to service our table and she was great. We all ordered different entrees so we can all share. It was 9 of us and all of the entrees lacked flavor. I had ordered the filet mignon and ground beef kabab. My meat was so dry and over cooked even though I asked for medium. Don’t recommend it and wouldn’t go back.

All the staff here is really amazing! And the food here us crazyyyyy! All the sushi I have tried from here is exploding with flavorss!! The vegetarian sushi is crazy, and chef. Albert made me this really good sushi with the eggs. Would definitely recommend sitting in the sushi place. And also the saffron icecream is a must try. I’ve come here about 3 times now and am definitely coming again. The atmosphere is so calm, good music and vibes. Good people and amazing food!

This place! The ambiance is on point ladies, a golden hue and handsome men to view ;) Honest foodie visiting from Encinitas… this place kept popping up on my research. Did not disappoint. Ramon had expert recommendations of wino and dishes. They served to a 10, 11, … +. Thank you for everything. Sara.

Went in for a Saturday lunch and the food was good. The chicken chops were average but the chicken sultani was excellent.
The labneh was served with a pita bread (just 1 cut into 2 pieces) but it was good.
The tartufo was amazing and was a great end to the meal.
The place is on the expensive side but should be great for a late evening dinner.

We have been going to Shiraz for years - even when it was in the Elmsford space. It is consistently delicious and is the best Persian cuisine in Westchester. Always a fan of the chicken kabobs. The date and goat cheese app is a must-try, and try to get the stews. Reza is the manager and he has done a great job building out a modern new space. Added bonus is that the new space has a sushi bar.. adding a bit of fusion into the mix. Definitely try Shiraz.. good food, good people, good vibe

Beautiful people with beautiful hearts. The food at the sushi bar was beyond one’s comprehension. I loved everything we ordered and moreover we got complemented with so many other extra things.

The food is delicious, the service is great and friendly. The style of cooking is authentic and the taste doesn't rely on over abundance of oil, butter, or salt.
You can find traditional dishes and a few with a modern twist.
Having a sushi menu is a giant plus. The new location in White Plains is superior to the old location.
We highly recommend it.

Im only giving this a 4 on the food because we all felt the food lacked flavor, just needed more or better spices. It tasted good but not great. Restaurant is beautiful and spacious, owners very gracious and want to make sure you are happy. One of our oarty had a stew, she did not realize it had meat in it ( vegetarian) , the owner wanted to make something else but our friend just picked around it. Anyway, they took it off the bill, which was not necessary, so we gave her a very generous tip.

This was my first time here and we can’t wait to come back again. Came for lunch and the service, especially Adila, was amazing, super friendly and her recommendations were very helpful. They have a pretty decent wine selection which makes it great for pairings. I started with falafel which was so tasty and then had the chicken sultani which was delicious. For dessert we ordered pistachio baklava which is made fresh and wasn’t too heavy. Would highly recommend this restaurant, the atmosphere, service and food are splendid.

After being seated, we waited a long time, and eventually asked the wait staff for menus. The food was quite over priced for what it was. The dessert cake was dry and bland. We left disappointed, however the decor was nice.

Fantastic restaurant, delicious sushi! Drinks sound super yummy but I only tried a mocktail, which was like a mojito and super good! I definitely want to come back and try more of the menu cause it all sounds delish!
I don't know if it was the time I went but it was a lil weird for service. Felt a lil slow and like no one was really trying to get me to order anything. So if that's your thing, have a beer and hang out for a few hours! Once I did order my food, it was all much better. So I would definitely highly recommend, just don't be in a rush!
