This place is literally a 10 out of 10.
The Caesar salad is delish, you can tell the dressing is fresh. The skirt steak comes with fried onions and a house made steak sauce. Those items compliment the steak but are not even needed because the steak is seasoned perfectly.

The Sushi was extremely fresh(in a good way) and came with the perfect amount of ginger and wasabi

Best Crab Cake in NY. There’s very little filler and the filler is seasoned with goodness that melts together with the lump crab you wouldn’t even know it was there. Absolutely delicious.

The apple crumb dessert was pretty good also. I should also mention that the vibe was very upscale.

Came for the Sunday surf and turf special. The table was very roomy and was spaced out so you could hear the members of your party talking to you. The steak and sushi was fantastic but the lobster was overcooked and how it was cooked was a bit strange. The staff was accommodating.

I was really wrong about this place, and Im happy to have been wrong. I thought this place was over-hyped, and now I'm already salivating for my return. Drinks, food, and service were all immaculate. Nothing more needs to be said. Experience it yourself. Who cares what I think? My only gripe is they sat us in the corner, and service at the bar was a little slow while we waited for our table. Perfect for a date night or a birthday celebration.

PROTIP: Bring cash to tip valet, & consider ordering a single entree with more starters to lessen the shock from the bill!

I had heard so many great things about Rare 650, that we were looking forward to going there prior to catching a show at the theatre in Westbury. Having been to Insignia many times prior, knowing they are the same owners I was looking forward to the same great experience I get there. I made reservations with open table with total ease. When we were running a few minutes behind we called and they were very accommodating. We were given a choice of what type of table we would like ( table or booth), I thought that, was nice, even though it was very quiet. The place itself is very nice, elegant lovely warm decor. After we were seated it took over 20mins for ANYONE to come to the table, no water, menu, bread, nothing, not even an acknowledgement. 1st to come was a busboy to clear the extra 2 place settings. Then our waitress arrives, introduces herself, gives us the menus and takes out drink order. She comes back about 15mins later to take our order(mind you we did tell her we had a show to catch, there was no urgency on her part. Good thing we allowed 2 hours for dinner). I asked about the ingredients in the lobster bisque soup, because as I explained to the waitress I have a garlic allergy. She said no there's not much and it should be fine. We each ordered off their $69 3 course menu ( my husband knowingly upgraded his entree). We also ordered the sides, one of which was the creamed spinach (she failed to mention that there was garlic in that, knowing I have an allergy). Our 1st course arrived and after 2 spoonfuls I knew the soup had way too much garlic in it, so I didn't have anymore. I would have told someone, but again NO ONE came by until 25 mins later the busboy came to clear our plates. Our dinner arrived almost 15 minutes later. Leaving us almost no time to eat and allow ample time to get to the show. Our steaks were excellent, I enjoyed the mashed sweet potatoes as well. Unfortunately I could not enjoy the creamed spinach because of the garlic. Again no one came by the table till we were done when the manager came by and asked if we enjoyed the meal, I stated it was OK, I said the steaks were great, but I couldn't eat the spinach. He said oh ok, and walked away. Mind you our glasses were empty, I had to start to drunk my husband's water as I was thirsty and couldn't find any service. One of the waitresses came by to ask if we wanted dessert or after dinner drinks. We ordered our dessert to go, so we would be in time for our show. Finally at the end our main waitress shows up to all how enjoyed our meal. I explained how disappointed we were, and how I wish I would have seen her at any point of our meal, since this was 1st we saw of her since she took our order. She apologized and said let me see if we can do something about your bill. She came back a few minutes later to say that the manager had already comped 1 our drinks so that was all to be done. So I paid the $225 bill pre tip, and made a mental note to avoid here. Since I was in a rush to get to the show I really didn't look over the bill. As I'm walking out the manager comes over to apologize which was nice and gave me a discount card. I don't know if I will use it but it was a nice gesture, $50 off my next $150 visit. Fast forward to when I get home and had time to review the check they charged me $30 for the steak upgrade vs the $25 as printed. Normally I would not care about that, but since the experience was poor this just added to it. The the final fun fact they never acknowledged that I attended my reservation, so I get an email from open table asking why I missed it, and I was in violation of their cancelation policy. Wish I could give a better review but very little gave reason to do that. I guess I'll stick to Insignia, Pace's, Toto's, or another steak house for the service and good food I would expect from a place that can be over $100 per person, since they all have given exceptional service every visit.

Wife's birthday

Not the 1st time I've been here (was invited last month by my Aunt and Uncle who are regulars for our anniversary and are regulars at Westbury Manor where they have invited us many times) and probably won't be the last. I've been to most of the Scotto owned restaurants...had my wedding at the Watermill and after party at Insignia.

Food was excellent tonight. Service was as expected (did wait a bit for my drinks and for the waiter to bring ice for the wine).

What disturbed me is that I decided to download the Good life app before I went. Money is a little tighter these days. We get to eat out like this a couple of times a year unlike most of the other patrons we observed who were treated like they were there once a week.

The waiter tries to convince me to use the 50$ off during another visit when I have more people.

I told him I would like to use it now. The server dissappears for 10 minutes visibly frustrated that he has to redo the bill. Server comes back to tell me i can't use the rewards because it hasn't been more than 24 hours. I didn't see that anywhere on the app. I looked.

The point is my wife and I, between bar and food, spent almost $500 and the $50 reward was an inconvenience to redeem or the server didn't want his tip impacted .

I think you guys could have done better tonight.

Thanks

Elmer also took care of us and we couldn’t be more happy than to have them two take care of us. We had a couple of words with Elmer and it was a pleasure to share conversations with him. I would definitely recommend this place and service from Elmer and Nelson to my family and friends. 100% a place you are confident that service it’s a priority. However, while my partner’s T-bone was decent, my medium-rare NY strip was quite burned on the outside while rather too undercooked in the inside, as shown below. The guy in suit said the “burn” all came from the charcoal burning. Idk you tell me…

Unfortunately, the food along will not bring me back a second time.

I've heard wonderful things about Rare. Finally got to try it out tonight and I must say, not impressed. From the food to the service, the time it took to get dishes to the table, to correcting the wrong order, it was just all blah. The topper was adding 18% gratuity to a table of 4. I always tip a minimum of 20 % for basic service and 25% and up for good service; so in essence they jipped themselves. The bathroom could've also been a bit cleaner.

I was at Rare 650 on Sunday 9/1 for our 40th anniversary. The night started as a 1 star but ended up being 5 stars. We were sat a table for 2 which at this restaurant are extremely small and seated about 2 feet away from the next table. I spoke to the manager and asked to see if we could be moved. The restaurant was very busy with a few private parties. At first they did not have a table but the manager was still trying to help. A few minutes later he asked if we would mind sitting at a booth table that seated 10. We had not issue. The table was amazing location and quiet. Samantha was our server and was very personable and did a great job. Cliff the manager of the restaurant stopped by a few times to check if everything was ok which was greatly appreciated. Regarding the food it was amazing: Wedge Salad - one of the best we ever had. Spicy Girl sushi roll amazing and light. We had the Filet and lobster which was also very good with great mashed potatoes and creamed spinach. We were to full to have the chocolate cake so we took it home. I would certainly recommend this restaurant and the care of the personnel was amazing!

The seafood cocktail was fresh and tasty , our mains were superb...the bone-in filet was out of this world as was the shrimp scampi and bone-in ribeye, all cooked to perfection..Our server was a 20 year vet ( Fajee),who knew her stuff and was a pleasure to work with as were Samantha and Stephanie..This was our first itme at Rare in a couple of years...we will surely be back regularly as we tend to support local restaurants that put their customers first!

I just got married here on 7/27/24! I don’t even know where to start. Rare650 has done an amazing job with their event space. We first saw it mid winter and loved it then, but in the warm weather it became even more than we expected. The flowing waterfall garden, the terrace areas for our ceremony and cocktail hour, and of course the beautiful conservatory space for our reception (which looks like a magical greenhouse) all looked amazing. And that is before I get to the food.

Since it is also a restaurant, it was so much more than the typical catering you’d expect from a traditional venue. Guests are served food made with the same quality and care as the restaurant patrons. I had multiple guests tell me that they had wanted to try Rare for the longest time, and from the many compliments I received it definitely lived up to their expectations.

But what really elevated our experience was the catering manager Cindy. It says a lot on its own that we overheard our DJ (who does multiple events at different venues every weekend) tell her that she was one of the best maître d's that he has ever worked with.

The week leading up to our wedding saw quite a few hiccups (unrelated to Rare), and Cindy made herself available to us the whole way as things kept needing to be changed. Her steady assuredness really helped to calm me and feel like everything was in the right hands, and come wedding day it was clear how true that was. She really did it all, and the coordinating was beyond impressive. There was never a moment where I felt that I needed anything the entire day, because she anticipated everything and took care of it before it was even on my radar (at one point the bustle on my dress was slipping and she was there fixing it the second I noticed it, without me ever having said a word. She had plates made with an assortment of food from cocktail hour when she saw we were too busy to try anything, and the same during dinner. She had the room and tables set up exactly how I had requested it down to the smallest detail. She helped pack up all our stuff, and held onto it for us until we could pick it up the next day. She never let us go without a drink in our hand when wanted. She communicated with our other vendors seamlessly. And I could honestly go on forever).

Thank you so much to all the staff who made our day amazing. We have visited for dinner before, and we will definitely be back both in the dining room for a meal, and for another big event.

Rare 650, nestled in Syosset, Long Island, represents the epitome of luxury dining, a hallmark of the esteemed Scotto Brothers' culinary empire. Since its inception in 2007, this establishment has masterfully blended the art of a traditional steakhouse with the finesse of a sushi bar, a daring combination that was nearly unheard of at the time.

The ambiance at Rare 650 is as much a feast for the eyes as the dishes are for the palate. The restaurant’s chic, contemporary design, complemented by a spacious dining area and a lively outdoor patio, creates an atmosphere that is both sophisticated and inviting. It's no wonder this venue has become a favored destination for celebratory gatherings and corporate soirées.

Upon arrival, the experience is set in motion by an extraordinary level of attention to detail, beginning with a personal call from Cliff Dragonetti, the general manager to ensure every aspect of the evening aligns with the highest expectations. This is not merely service; it is a finely tuned orchestration of hospitality.

The evening begins with *The Ocho*, a cocktail that dances on the palate with a blend of Bacardi Ocho Rum, pineapple, lime syrup, passionfruit, grapefruit, and lime soda—a tantalizing prelude to the courses that follow.

A trio of freshly baked bread arrives next, accompanied by extra virgin olive oil and softened butter, all thoughtfully prepared to tempt but not overwhelm. Restraint is advised, as the true indulgence is yet to come.

The first course—a pomegranate-glazed bacon, perched atop a tart of mission fig and Gorgonzola, crowned with delicate apple blossoms—sets the tone for the evening. Each bite offers a perfect balance of sweet, savory, and tangy, a delightful interplay of flavors.

This is followed by a sashimi of bluefin tuna, where thin slices of sushi-grade fish are paired with citrusy orange segments and a touch of jalapeño relish, all brought together with ponzu and the surprise of soy pearls that burst with umami. It’s a dish that speaks of the chef’s deft hand and imaginative spirit.

Then arrives the charred Spanish octopus, tender yet crisp, served with saffron-infused fingerling potatoes, marinated tomatoes, Kalamata olives, crispy pancetta, and a caper vinaigrette that elevates the dish to new heights.

For the main course, the Chilean sea bass is nothing short of divine. Served atop forbidden rice with chorizo, sun-dried tomatoes, and a lobster saffron beurre blanc, this dish is a symphony of flavors and textures that leaves a lasting impression.

No meal at Rare 650 would be complete without a proper finale. Though the appetite may wane, the allure of a deconstructed apple pie is irresistible. The apple cinnamon compote, complemented by crumbles of a heavenly pie crust and Häagen-Dazs vanilla ice cream, provides a sweet, satisfying close to an impeccable evening.

Executive Chef Caesar, along with Steve and the rest of the dedicated staff, deliver an experience that exudes passion and precision. Rare 650 is not just a restaurant—it’s an experience that demands a place on your list of must-visit culinary destinations.

Incredible food. Delicious cocktails.

Visited here just a few days ago on Saturday, 7/13. Celebrated our 12th wedding anniversary with some of the best food I’ve ever had.

Made an 8pm reservation, and we did have to wait by the bar for about 15 minutes while some tables cleared up, but no big deal - ordered a prickly pear margarita which was so refreshing after a hot day.

We got seated upstairs right near the giant wine racks, which was cozy. I don’t mean that condescendingly. It really was nice and cozy. My husband ordered the wagyu sliders to start, and though I’m not a big red meat person, I had a bite and the flavors were bursting - those caramelized onions were perfect! I ordered the king crab sushi roll, and it was one of the best things I’ve ever had in my life. I’m a big sushi person and have it often - this roll was so good!! I savored every single bite, and I didn’t want it to end!

For dinner, my husband got the skirt steak which he said was melting in his mouth. I ordered the sea bass which was flaky and cooked to perfection over an interesting bed of rice. I’ve never had rice that way and it was delish! We shared mashed potatoes, roasted corn, and the truffle Mac - YUM!!!

Though I expected an outrageous bill, and I mean that respectfully, because it is a top rated steakhouse, it really was way less expensive than I thought at under $300! And that’s with a nice bottle of red with dinner.

We will DEFINITELY be back! I’ll be dreaming of that king crab roll for years to come!

Our servers were delightful as well. Went over the menu, answered questions, chatted with us. Wish we had room for dessert!

Service was absolutely terrible. Was there on a Wednesday with a party of 6. Spent over $700. Ordered several appetizers, Oysters were rancid. Manager took them off the check as he should have. Never saw a manager after that. Waited 37 minutes for Entrees which were fine. Table got cleared of finished dinners, had to call over a server after 20 minutes to bring dessert menus. Asked for check as soon as we got dessert. Management should be aware that tables are waiting too long. Perhaps they should be trained by their sister restaurant One10. Management is on point at that place, always!!!. With all the issues we had, one would think the manager would have stopped by and offered dessert or something or at least to check to see if everything was fine. Never happened. I would never go back. Way too many other good choices for top steakhouses on Long Island.

This was an experience and a Mother's Day we will NEVER forget, thank you, thank you, thank you RARE650 and to our generous angels.

Attended a private event here. Arrived early, left late. Only reason I’m leaving a review is because the bartender in the main area was so beyond unpleasant. All the people working the event were super nice and they made everyone feel welcome. The female bartender at 5pm was awesome too and I’m very happy with her hospitality and service. Once I got to the main bar after the event I felt so unwelcome although I ordered food to go for my brother who wasn’t feeling well ($70 worth of sides no mains). I could’ve gotten better service and quality elsewhere but I was happy with the service at the private event that I figured Rare650 would still come through. The bartender was just sooo miserable and hated his life. I tried being nice but wow was he just sooo damn awful that it reflected on his service and my overall feel of the place.
My rating dropped the more I interacted with him. Anyway, I don’t post often anymore but his not so uplifting mood made me come back here to post and also not want to come back if he’s ever working again.

Also don’t offer a $70 steak to go as an upsell when you know the taste will not be the same an hour after it’s ordered. Be real.

My hubby and I had dinner here for the first time and it was my birthday. From the moment we were seated, the service was spectacular! We had a total of 3 different servers, all female, and all were phenomenal. I forgot their names, unfortunately but again, they were all amazing and most importantly, friendly! We ordered a bunch of appetizers and the sunrise special roll was SO delicious!!! Our entrees were perfectly cooked, and dessert was on point. The server knew it was my birthday and brought out complimentary doughnuts with a lit candle - I thought this was so nice of them! The night was perfect and of course, cannot forget the talented and entertaining, Vincent Rhodes, who did an incredible job at signing and performing Scenes from an Italian Restaurant!! Brava!

We've been here numerous times over the past few years and it's always a wonderful experience.

My visit to Rare650 this past Saturday was nothing short of spectacular, largely thanks to the unmatched hospitality provided by Cliff Dragoneti, the General Manager. From the moment we made our reservation, Cliff was incredibly accommodating, ensuring every detail was in place for what was one of the most important evenings of my life — my proposal night.

Cliff went above and beyond to make sure everything was just perfect, from selecting a quiet and beautifully set table to coordinating a surprise that made the evening even more special.

The menu itself was delightful. Each dish was exquisitely prepared, with flavors that danced wonderfully on the palate. The attentive staff made commendable pairing suggestions, which complemented our meal beautifully.

Moreover, Cliff’s personal involvement in our evening made us feel like VIPs. His professionalism and genuine care for our experience were evident throughout the night. It’s rare to encounter such dedicated and personal service that makes a significant life event even more memorable.Thank you, Rare650 and Cliff, for making our engagement night profoundly special and joyous!

The food was very average and mid. The steak, Mac and cheese, appetizers and creamed spinach are WAY better at other steakhouses. I would recommend Tellers, Blackstone, Rothman’s, and Capital Grille over Rare 360. The service was great and atmosphere is amazing. The chimichurri was amazing and the Brussel sprouts were amazing - but that was it. The lobster croquettes, filet mignon, truffle Mac and cheese (didn’t taste any truffle in it), crispy rice tuna, creamed spinach, and wagyu sliders were all very average tasting like local pub food or a local bar. Did not have any flavor in it. We will not be coming back here. There are better steakhouses for food. They have complimentary valet which was nice.

In my opinion the place is overrated and expensive. The atmosphere and the service is nice. But the quality of food is not what I was expecting. We ordered bone-in ribeye medium rare, and salmon. Both entrees were just ok. It definitely didnt blow my tastebuds away and it was nothing to be excited about. We threw out half the salmon because it was just ok. It was not even worth taking home. The desserts were good. Creme brulee and cho cake were fantantic. But the 2 dry donuts with some raspberry drizzle for $14 was a joke. Glazed donuts from Dunkin tastes better. I expected more.

This is a nice place and the food is good. However, I Rating it a 3 star because the food portions (for a steakhouse) are very small. The taste was there but the portions for the price is underwhelming.

If you're going out for a nice date night, it would work. But if you're looking for a hardy meal, not so much..

Used to love Rare650 but it's significantly downgraded. I dined here a few weeks ago for a family dinner and the restaurant was so crowded you couldn't even walk through the tables because they were so close to one another. It was ridiculous. The manager explained to us that they were compensate for the fact they were hosting a few events upstairs and needed to accomodate for space in the downstairs restaurant. In my eyes, this not only impacts the dining experience for a guest (lack of space) but also results in lack of attention in the kitchen, waiting staff, and quality of food when a restaurant is so overly busy... Unfortunately, this was exactly what happened.

We were assigned two waiters for some odd reason - one which took care of food orders and one which took care of drinks and dessert (assuming this helped them move quicker with orders). When paying $$$$ for a steakhouse meal, this is not the kind of experience I expect to receive. Furthermore, the food was extremely disappointing. Appetizers came out cold, sushi was not fresh, and entrees / steak lacked flavor.

Disappointed to say the least, will definitely not be returning.

As someone who really looked forward to visiting Rare650 again, my dining experience fell drastically short of expectations.

Upon entering the restaurant, I couldn't help but notice how closely packed the tables were, making the atmosphere feel cramped and uncomfortable. It was challenging to engage in conversation without feeling like we were intruding on neighboring conversations.

Moving on to the main event—the food. We ordered the signature ribeye steak, expecting a sensation of flavor and tenderness. Unfortunately, what arrived at my table was a disappointment in every sense. Each bite felt like a chore, devoid of the satisfaction I typically associate with a good steak.

Moreover, the sides accompanying the steak were equally lackluster. The truffle mashed potatoes were lukewarm and seemed to have been sitting out for far too long. The mushrooms lacked any freshness or vibrancy.

This place used to be a great vibe and quality food a couple years ago but I would not recommend this place any longer.

This restaurant is incredible! The ambiance is spectacular, the service is great and the good is absolutely delicious! We called around 530pm on a Saturday and they told us to walk in around 6. The valet staff was professional, the hostess’ were so nice and they sat us right away.

We had two waiters who worked hand in hand and worked very well together. They both came over right away. Both were very knowledgeable of the menu and the specials and they were both so nice! They asked us if we were there for a special occasion and it was just my birthday which we didnt plan to mention but they made the experience special.

We ordered a bone-in ribeye, the large sushi platter, and Pellegrino sparkling water. They brought over bread, evoo with pepper, and the pellegrino with lemon, lime and orange. The food came quickly and was presented very well. We ordered the steak with a side of the truffle butter and it was SO good. The sushi platter was so fresh and went perfectly with the steak. The waiters checked in frequently and the general manager came over to see how our experience was as well. They even brought over these delicious warm doughnuts with white chocolate, a raspberry sauce on top, a candle and a chocolate happy birthday sign, which was unexpected and a really nice surprise.

One of the best restaurant experiences we’ve had in a while and we will definitely be back!

My Boyfriend and I came for their VDAY Dinner special (ON VDAY) It was busy more than usual so we gave our waiter grace, he was really nice. Our drinks and appetizer came out at a good regular pace. I ordered the lobster bisque which was pretty bland. My boyfriend ordered the Slab Bacon, he had no complaints.

Things took a turn when we saw other guests come in, ordered their food, RECEIVE their food, eat and pack their left overs. Meanwhile we never received our dinner. Our waiter never came back after giving the appetizers, never assured us where our dinner was. It quickly turned into a bad experience where we had to request the manager for this issue.

The manager came over to us and my boyfriend explained the issue. Turns out the waiter(s) or chef(s) lost our ticket for our dinner. The manager made us feel weirdly uncomfortable acknowledging and congratulating that my boyfriend (being a black man) was 'so well spoken" and held himself in a well manner and because of that he would discount our food. And he repeated it throughout the conversation about 3-4 times. That took almost 2hrs to get to us. It was very condescending and was just weird, because how else was my boyfriend suppose to carry himself in the restaurant? If it was any other way he'd be labeled "the angry black guy".

When we finally received the food, we wanted our Tomahawk steak Medium -Medium-well, our steak came to us Medium RARE just bleeding out on the plate. Mashed potatoes from Popeyes tastes better than the mashed potatoes we ordered.

Just a very unfortunate experience being we were so excited to come to this steak house, and the ambience and VDAY decorations were so pretty.

Review №160

This place is RIGHT across from my job. I've seen almost all great reviews here, & the parent company also owns others such as Insignia, which I've heard a LOT of good about. I was optimistic.

I got a reservation for 1/21 for me and my partner, and was running a bit behind schedule; the attendant was able to accommodate. The Valet was a great touch and the worker was appropriate, professional and courteous.

We opted for the Sunday special, which is a 3-course meal (starts at $55/person) and let you pick one entree, with two appetizers, sides, and deserts.

The appetizers (I got the Lobster Croquett and my partner got the Lobster Bisque) were fantastic. The croquettes were delicious; great crust and flavor. The bisque was a bit lighter on the flavor, and tasted lighter than I'm used to. It didn't feel 'heavy' in the stomach and the chunks of lobster were great. No complaints.

We picked the fillet mignon and lobster entree. We were worried for a moment that at $70/person if we were getting enough food, but that was a foolish question. We got 6 slices of the fillet mignon in a gravy, and a deliciously sweet steak sauce for it, that includes some simple ingredients (and a few other ingredients they didn't disclose; I believe it was a manager I spoke with); for me, I like sweet and salty/savory, and my goodness, this was an amazing blend. The meat, cooked to medium was tender, had a great crust, and was the perfect temperature. Not too hot or cold. The lobster was equally delicious, giving us lemon and clarified butter. It was tender, not chewy/rubbery and not underdone either. Perfect bite.

For the sides, we got the baked potato and creamed spinach - both were really good and cooked amazingly. The baked potatoes came with sour cream and butter, and complimented the potato well.

For desert, My partner got the Sorbet which was a great fruity and tart end to the meal. I got the creme brulee, which was nice and rich, without feeling too heavy. The caramelized sugar on top had a perfect crunch, and the strawberries had enough acidity and flavor to give a nice break from the richness of the rest of the dish.

Service wise.... they were great! I often drink a LOT of water with my meals. I barely managed to get the glass down to 1/4 before someone came by and just filled it up again. That made me very happy. The two alcoholic drinks we ordered were delicious, and had came out faster than any restaurant I've been to in my life. I didn't even realized when they set the drinks on the table while I was talking with the servers, who were a pair - the entire night, they checked in with us periodically without being overwhelming, and only once it got busy did I feel one moment of looking around for the server; and I didn't wait long. No complaints here.

Atmosphere-wise... the place is beautiful. We went further back where it was a room that was all glass windows and the roof as well; made me think of a greenhouse. That said, I had expected it to be chilly; it was perfectly temperature controlled, and my partner who is sensitive to cold felt very comfortable. If I had to give this a number grade? 10/10.

All in all, this place has great staff, great food, and a great atmosphere. Both of us left very full and satisfied, and we actually took a little bit of food home! Like I said above, foolish to even wonder if we were going to be hungry.

That said, this is a steakhouse. Actual steakhouses are generally going to be expensive. Like $60-$80 a person expensive. Like, your bill after tips for two people will probably be $150-$200. If you want something cheaper, look into Boulder Creek or Outback Steakhouse (which despite being a steakhouse in name, I consider it on par with places like Applebees, Chili's, etc - not bad by any stretch but not really a 'steakhouse'). Be aware of this if picking Rare650, and be ready for a treat if you settle on this place!

Worst experience I’ve ever had dining out. I’ve had better service at an Applebees, and in comparison steakhouses on a grand opening week. Servers appeared 4 times within the 3 hours of being there. In addition, be prepared to spend the price of a cable bill for cold food. Lastly, cash miraculously disappeared ($120) when the servers handled the checkbook. Instead of mentioning that at our table, and solving the problem there. They aloud us to get up, then confront us in the middle of the restaurant in front other parties. Absolutely unprofessional.

Only reason i’m giving 4 stars was the service wasn’t excellent. we got there before a dinner rush and it took a while for a waiter to come over (had to ask for our server after about 10 minutes). I’ll start with the cliche- “I never write any reviews” because I think that’s most important. In fact, I don’t think I’ve ever felt the need to write one before.

In this instance, my experience was so distasteful with this establishment that I felt it was only right to warn patrons of the terrible service and afford them the chance to take their business elsewhere. My group of 15 people made a reservation for a birthday celebration. Not sure what the reason for taking reservations is considering ours was not honored. In any case we waited almost half hour to be seated anyway. We were tucked in a corner in what appeared to be the only space left in the restaurant. Our server came to the table to take the order, bring our food and drinks, and collect the check total. We had to go to the bar to get our own drinks since we were there to celebrate after all. I ordered fish and took only a bite because the taste was rancid.

I could continue with the terrible experience but I rather just end it with a warning to stay far away from this place. It’s over priced and not worth the trouble.

Brought my mother here to celebrate her birthday I brought my daughter along and we overall had a good time. The ambiance is nice simple decor and it was spacious between tables. The room we were seated in was just tables and chairs. I do believe there may be a small seating area outside but it was cold so I am unsure.
We had about 3 people coming to our table to take orders and honestly we didn't know who was the main server. One guy was very nice and moved quickly, the other seemed to be spaced out not really paying attention and the other just dropped some dishes to the table.

For appetizer I ordered the Imported Burrata which the server made seem it was a larger plate than it was. It was a good dish overall and was fresh. I also got the shrimp tempura which was mainly for my daughter she enjoyed it.
For entree I got the 3 course meal for $69 pp with this I ordered butternut squash ravioli it was really good I enjoyed the crunch from the pine nuts, colossal crab stuffed sole which was soft had a good flavor it was something new for me the deal was supposed to come with a dessert but the server added my dessert to my mothers birthday platter instead of giving the option. My mother got the 8oz lobster tail $75 and we ordered a bunch of sides I was unable to get the spinach because they were out and that's was one side that I really was looking forward to so instead we got the asparagus, fries, Mac and cheese & mashed potatoes.
The dessert platter had many items on it to much to eat at once but it was nice.
I have been to the sister restaurants and this one is so far my least favorite.

By far hands down the worst dining experience I’ve ever had in a restaurant. I couldn’t believe how rude and inattentive the staff were, it took over 40 minutes to get bread for our party when other people were being seated and getting them right away, just for the bread to be cold and hard, along with cold butter as well. The lobster was the blandest piece of seafood I’d ever tasted as well. The steak, although cooked to the right amount on the inside, was BURNT on the outside, and no I do not mean “seared” I mean literally burnt on the outside to the point I was appalled. I would have asked them to redo it had I not waited 1 and a half hours for the food to arrive in the first place. That was my first and last time ever dining in this overpriced and underwhelming restaurant.
