Our philosophy of muten or nothing added is an ongoing promise that our food is prepared using fresh, high quality ingredients free of artificial sweeteners, seasonings, preservatives and colorings.
It was my first time try and it was so great! I enjoyed their fresh sushi and their system was easy and convenient. You can order specific menu on the screen and it delivers on your spot when it is ready. Also it seemed like sushi and rolls were all same price(3.95$) each plate, except for other special dishes and desserts. They also have rewards so you can use it when you have coupons. It was a very fun experience and I’d love to go back soon! Maybe takeout too!

I would give this place about 4.35 stars out of 5. The food is good. My favorite roll is the krispy rice with crab mayo. The rice could be a little more crispy and a little less crunchy. The service was good! The robot takes a little while getting to your table and turning around to give you the drink, but it is very nice! The atmosphere is great, as usual. Great job, Kura!

Have been going to Kura for years, long before this (super convenient!) location opened. I wanted to treat myself to lunch this past week, and can definitely say only go here during higher traffic times. The lunch special also isn’t worth it. Also they were out of salmon skin shishito peppers so it was kind of a letdown all around for weekday lunch.
When I ordered my shrimp udon lunch special bowl, it sat at the beginning of the conveyor belt for over 5 mins while they waited for the roll, making the shrimp tempura soggy and really unappetizing. I ended up taking off the breading as it was very mushy. The sushi I ordered from the tablet was very good! There were no monthly discoveries, but I recommend trying those when they have them!
For first timers definitely go during a busy time. There was nearly nothing on the conveyor belt during a weekday lunch. I don’t like food waste so I get it, but unless you wanted salmon or tuna you have to order from the tablet. Also, you can join the waitlist in the app when you’re somewhat in range without having to go in, you just have to check in when you’re close to being called.
Also, their to-go packaging and food was delicious. They did great with the ramen and sushi.

It's an interesting experience fun for the family very Americanized sushi get there early cuz they don't take reservations and there is a 40 to 45 minute wait. The staff are good there they don't do very much for you aside from bringing your drinks and the check everything else is done through the tablet kiosk. I would say it's a good place for families to go but make sure you get there with plenty of time.

Unbelievably disappointed in many of the sushi especially the uni. As seen the picture, it looked like they literally put the scraps of uni. To think it's alright to charge $3.95 for each uni is a joke, let alone the chef think it's alright to serve it. The beef bowl was actually a rice bowl with 4 strands for beef, most of which was just fat. There was more scallion than beef. The spicy salmon and tuna crispy rice tasted old and the fish was scarce. To say these were overpriced is an understatement. The steak was too chewy and tough.
I will say that the scallop, snow crab, and tuna belly were quite good and a large size.
A disappointing dinner for a family member's birthday. Will definitely not be going back

So you’re looking for sushi in Scarsdale that’s in a fun environment and anime-centric - pay yourself a visit to Kura Revolving Sushi Bar. Upon arrival, you’ll most likely walk in and try to be seated. Make sure you don’t ignore the iPad outside the door and use it to join the waitlist. If you have a long wait, the shopping center has good stores to kill some time in. If you get caught in the rain, make sure you use the under pass or umbrella’d seats right in front of the restaurant. Once you’re on the waitlist, pay attention to your phone and sit closer to the door when you receive the “your table is almost ready” text. I visited on the weekend around 3pm and had a 15 minute wait which was much faster. Shortly after receiving the message, the host will come to the door and call your name and confirm your party size. You’re escorted to your table as the staff greets you in Japanese which is pretty cool. You sit in these bays of seats in between revolving sushi conveyor belts. As you sit down, the experience is a bit confusing but you get the hang of it when you realize you’re starving! So there’s a screen above the conveyor belt that you can use to scan a QR code that opens up the restaurants entire menu except drinks. We made the mistake of ordering tons of nigiri and hot food without this critical step but don’t fret, order your drinks off the screen above the conveyor belt and they’re delivered via robot! Note that water is free but all other drinks have a cost. Now onto the food, pictured nigiri is the Garlic Stripejack Tuna, Seared Scallop with Japanese Mayo, Sea Bream with Yuzu Pepper, Salmon Toro, Toro and Tamago (my personal favorite dessert). Pictured roll is the Real Crab California Roll. Pictured ramen is the Tonkotsu. Pictured dessert is the Gum Gum Fruit Ice Cream. Think of this as a taiyaki ice cream with a purple wafer and vanilla ice cream on the inside. Now my personal favorites and must haves are the Garlic Stripejack Tuna, Sea Bream with Yuzu Pepper, Seared Scallop Japanese Mayo, and Tonkotsu Ramen. I ordered multiple orders of the Garlic Stripejack Tuna as it’s addictive (see four dishes pictured). All the sushi was super fresh and tasted great. As you eat, you are also tempted with the conveyor belt offerings which are the same menu items. We fortunately ordered everything using the online ordering system and it all arrived above the main conveyor belt with the screen notifying you that your dish is ready which is pretty helpful. During my visit, they promo’d a One Piece tumbler for $16 that’s includes unlimited refills through 9/30 and even a cooling towel for all purchases over $80. Two completely thoughtful commemorative items that make me want to go back. Give or take 17 plates later, we were absolutely satisfied with our meal and Kura swag. Some of the items I want to try next are the hand rolls and hot dishes which looked great. As I said, you want great sushi and a fun time with friends, Kura is the spot for you.

HONEST REVIEW GUYS…. My son loves sushi, like loves it! So I am always looking for new places to try with him. Found this one while googling. At first I was like ughhhh Central Avenue… (I was right, ughhhh) Kura Sushi happens to be right next door to the brand new Chic-fil-a (wasn’t aware) that had 3 squad cop cars managing the parking area and the amount of people. ( this was a saturday night 6:30). we added our name to the outdoor computer which stated a 25 minute wait time… Not bad, WE WAITED AN HOUR!!! I know, trust me I wanted to leave too, but after a certain period of time you just stay for the long haul, 2nd up on the table list…
the food all comes out conveyer belt style & drinks to you by robot… the quality is not the best, but the concept is cool. my son loved it!!! after you finish your plate (2 pieces per plate) at $3.95 you insert the dish right into your table you’re sitting at & it keeps count.. after 15 plates you get an anime ball.
overall my son loved it, so goal achieved!

It’s like sitting under intense bright office lighting ordering mediocre fast food style sushi. The 2 belt system makes no sense. Why would you take anything from the lower level when you can have it made fresh on the upper? It all adds up very quickly when 2 pieces of sushi are $4 and a minuscule piece of cheesecake is $4. Everything is in super tiny portions so you leave hungry unless you’re willing to spend a lot. It’s funny they expect a 15% tip at the end when machines did all the work and it’s expensive enough. I’d never go back but I can say I did it at least I guess.

First visit this afternoon with my son (a treat for good grades)
I love the concept, unfortunately, my experience was subpar. The ordering screens were off-line and not working, causing confusion with the sushi coming to the table. The drink robot brought drinks over and immediately turned around, so we had to chase him to get the cups from him. The sushi did not taste fresh. The popcorn shrimp on top of my roll tasted freezer burnt. The rice was thick and sticky. Sushi just tasted mass-produced and possibly sitting out too long?
It’s unfortunate, because we love sushi and this is a great concept and experience. The staff was very friendly, just wish the sushi would’ve lived up to what could have been

So fun! Greeted in Japanese and shown to our table where everything is electronic and the food drives around the restaurant on a belt until someone grabs it. When you order a specific thing, it zooms to your table on the upper hiway and skids to a stop in front of you! Particularly enjoyed the wagyu beef and scallops. Wish they had boba but overall so much fun! Great place to bring kids!

Usually I don’t leave bad reviews bc of the unreasonable service & customers arrangement. But this particularly branch, with its massive customer flow, could do WAY better. We were told to wait 35 mins and as it approached, we were called by system to be nearby and presented whole group entirely. However, when we arrived, there are another 45 mins to wait…… Is that what you called “ approach “ ??? As you can see from the pic, there are at least 15 customers who had the same situation had to stay for over 40 min in a cold winter evening- and was told there waiting time has “approached” will be seated in 15 mins…many of them are complaining.
If this is what you mean by “approaching / within 15 min”, the whole system and staff at this store should be fixed as well as retrained, due to its highly disrespectful for every customer’s time and energy. This also extremely affects my experience and appetite, even though I am a regular customer at Kura, but this particular store made me had a second thought.
Visited 3 months ago
Terrible customer service. When we checked in on the app it said 25 minutes so we headed right over...90 minutes later we were still waiting. The staff is completely incompetent and the place is dingy. Nothing like the locations in Japan

It's a novelty, nothing more. A conveyor belt delivering overpriced, low quality, sushi. If you’re a big eater, you'll leave not only with an empty stomach, but an empty wallet also. Don't bother
Visited 3 months ago
Came in for a lunch, was very excited to see what the hype was about! The novelty of this was exciting, waiting to see what options would appear. We weren’t motivated by the prize system so that didn’t determine our choices. The quality of the food overall was pretty uninspiring, not bad, just unfortunately not worth the money. Again, the waiter robot was great for a novelty, but unfortunately that’s what this is best for.

Food was fairly good especially the sushi.
The service was quite disorganized and they were a bit rude. We had to wait for almost 45 minutes despite an estimate of a 15 minute wait even though there were plenty of tables free inside.
The serving robots and sushi train was cool to watch.

We love sushi and have visited this place many times. Recently, the service has been going downhill. During our last visit, since Kura had removed the wasabi from the table, the pink-haired host told us she would bring us some when she seated us. We saw her laughing and joking around, but no wasabi for us. Twenty minutes later, I had to remind her about the wasabi, and she said she would bring it right away, which was, of course, another joke. After thirty minutes, we had to ask the second waitress, who was an Asian lady. She immediately brought us the wasabi. The experience caused by one single employee was very unpleasant. We are not sure that we will come back.

This place is more novelty then good sushi, we were sitting in one of the seatings at the end of the belt and almost nothing popular would get to us and we would have to place a seperate order for each item we wanted. It was cumbersome and not worth the 3 pieces at a time, so the fun was taken out of the experience. Would have been less stressful and much easier if we went someplace placed our order and got what we wanted all at once. If they want to seat you at the end of the belt wait for a better spot, you will be frustrated seeing the sushi come out and only empty dishes when it gets to you ! Oh and the sushi was mediocore at best. Tiny sloppy servings

I went to the Kura by the Skytree in Tokyo, Japan in July and so my expectations were high coming here to the Scarsdale Kura. The food was very tasty, I was very pleased with that. Initially ordering the food took some time because my android seemed to be working at first but the food never came so we ended up using the kiosk which was fine. In Japan I was able to use my android phone to order dishes with ease. Very tech friendly there. Also the table set up could be better in Kura Scarsdale. In Japan they have a storage in the middle of the table with condiments plenty of soy sauce/ginger chopsticks/forks/spoons. The restaurant there was huge and booths had curtains for privacy. Customer service was not very good at Scarsdale Kura. The "greeter" was not very friendly or helpful. Didn't smile at all and took a while to seat us even though the place was half empty when we got there. All in all I was a bit disappointed. You want the whole experience when you go out to eat to be pleasant. It's not just the food that's important but the whole experience of it. Presentation and friendly service.

If the Japanese owners saw how the local managers run this store, they'd be shocked. Far away from Japanese service and hospitality.
Tables were left uncleaned and in a mess half an hour after the guests had left. Then their wifi went down, but instead of attending to their clients, I was left without an answer for almost 20 minutes until some competent staff member was friendly enough to talk to me. Sad.

Amazing experience and definitely fun. Service is pretty much non existent but I think that’s the point. You order through a touch screen above the table specific things you want. Also every plate you get is counted and you win free keys chains.
Food was good for sushi but not the greatest. I think there are better locations but it’s more experience oriented with good enough sushi.
The wait is a little long and the waiter forgot about us waiting while multiple tables were open for seating. That was the only issue but I assume as the restaurant gets more experienced staff that will be better. Plus other revolving locations had the same issue so it’s common.

Hi! On 9-1-24, my family and I went to dine in at the Yonkers location to celebrate the One Piece theme that’s going on. This is my second time visiting the location. My first time was in early August when the One Piece theme started. I only went in to purchase the One Piece Cups. I have never been to Kura before so Victor and Minsa gave me a run down and how everything works in a Revolving Restaurant. I also loved how friendly and kind they were towards me. Because of the good service, I told them I will be back and so I did which was today on 9-1-24. I received possibly the best experience I have ever had while dining in any restaurant. First off, I am allergic to seafood. I went thru 3 waiters “Victor, Minsa and Destiny” each h shared their own knowledge on the products and how things work (great job by the way. They know their store!) but I needed to be 100 percent sure that I wouldn’t be consuming anything with seafood so I kept on asking questions and more questions. The staff took it upon themselves to bring me out a manager/chef I believe he was a chef. His name is Ray. Ray explained to me how the food is prepped in the kitchen and what was my best choices to avoid any cross contamination and so my sister and I went with the Roman bowl which by the way was the best Roman I have ever tasted !! Needless to say, everthing was great. Destiny came to check on me after returning from her break to make sure I was ok due to me being a little nervous at first about eating. Victor and Minsa visted my table constantly to make sure everything was smooth. I just really appreciated how well everyone took care of me and accommodated my special need. Not one time did I feel disrespected or as if I was being annoying with what I was inquiring about. Everyone was so patient with me and didn’t give up ! I will definitely be dining in more often even after the One Piece theme is over. It was refreshing just to have the experience I did at Kura. Not many places care anymore and the staff is usually in bad moods. Great job Destiny, Victor. Ray and Minsa! I appreciate you all!!!!

Don’t recommend. Way too much mayo on everything. No way to alter any of the food items, sushi is mediocre. Overpriced for what you get. If you put up toy displays kids should get a toy regardless not have to pay over $60 for food and eat to obesity for it. Very unimpressive. Would not come back.

Food: The worst sushi I have ever had, disappointingly and disgracefully worse than classic Super Market sushi. My Mother had to eat a slice of cheesecake that was going around the conveyor belt, that shows how dislikable the sushi is. The Ramen bowl was interesting to say the least, the dish was 2.5x smaller the size of a usual Ramen bowl, the broth was on the cusp of below average, the egg tasted incredible, and the meat and noodles were average (noodles are maybe below average). The tempura box was too salty, too small, but besides that, the tempura meat, tempura veggies, and rice were fairly above average. My mom and I needed 5 plates of sushi, one Cheesecake and 3 main dishes (Ramen, Udon and Tempura Bento box) in order to feel full. The biggest frustration in all of this is the fact that this was all $75 dollars or more
Service: We waited an hour and 15 minutes to get seated inside the restaurant!! And people make reservations on their phones before you, so even if you’re physically there before them, they made the reservations hours before you so you just have to sit there for hours hungry!
Atmosphere: I guess the conveyor belt is profoundly gimmicky and def entertaining and the robot bringing your drinks is fun.
Value: I’m at Chinatown right now and I’m spending $30 for 4 huge dishes that are sumptuously delicious that fill me and my mom up past the brim of our stomach’s capacity while the $75 dollars spent at this Sushi place was a total waste! And There’s a lot more entertainment in Chinatown. DON’T WASTE YOUR HARD-EARNED MONEY HERE.

However the sushi is at best below average, I cannot recommend this restaurant to anyone.
The service was quite poor, I had to call for service multiple times to pay my bill. The waiters are non attentive and this restaurant is clearly understaffed. Please stay away from this poor sushi experience.

Inconsistent Portions, Disappointing Experience
I dined at Kura Sushi in Scarsdale and was disappointed with their quality management. The portion sizes of the ikura were highly inconsistent.
Photos attached:
1. Ikura from their promotional photo on Google Maps.
2. Ordered ikura on the left plate (one of the two rolls already eaten) and ikura from the belt.
The lack of standardization in serving sizes is unacceptable and amounts to false advertising. I did not order a cucumber roll; it is ikura and should be consistent.
I stopped visiting their Fort Lee shop due to a significant decline in quality, and it seems the Scarsdale location is following the same trend. Kura Sushi urgently needs to improve their quality and portion control. Until then, I cannot recommend this location.
Additionally, the shop is reverse locked, so customers cannot enter without the waiting staff opening the door from the inside, even when the shop is almost empty. We signed in on the iPad kiosk and waited for a while, even though the staff saw us standing outside. While I understand the desire to manage incoming flow, it was not a friendly gesture.

One of the girls at the registers, Britney, has such nasty attitude, she was very unprofessional. Its not clear who hire people like this. Its also not clear if there is anybody supervising these workers to make sure they're doing their job! When I asked for the status of my take out order 20 minutes after ordering, she volunteered to cancel the order! I didn't even mention cancel the order, I was simply asking how much longer since 20 minutes already passed for small plate or sushi! When other worker inquired how come I'm still standing here with no food meanwhile it's ready! She told them "leave him alone, he's being annoying!" Word for word! Excuse me! You're not even doing your job. If you think you're better than this, why are you still working there? Bad bad customer service.
Even if the restaurant was 10 stars, if you're greeted with bad attitude worker, your restaurant is automatically a 1 star. Somebody need to keep an eye on the workers in this place.

(4.5 stars) If there was way to give .5 of a star. The service and atmosphere was great. Not your usual sushi joint, the booth where we sat was okay it just made picking food from the revolving bar a bit of inconvenience. But other than that the food was great, the robot service was pretty neat. The variety of food select was impressive. Definitely a spot to try. Introverts galore. Everything is touch screen and minimal interaction with people. Definitely worth the time to check and try atleast once.

Amazing atmosphere and food. Plus it's fun to take loved ones and friends to.

There's always a bit of waiting. Revolving sushi is fun experience but the sushi has too much rice
Visited 7 months ago
I don’t understand the popularity of this restaurant. Its not worth the price of the dishes and the portion size is small. There are many other cheeper and better options. Sushi castle, Sushi palace, even Banzai Hibachi and Sushi are all better options

It's a fun experience to watch food move by you and pick what you want to eat, but it's even better to order off the digital screen and then have it freshly made and delivered to you via a zippy conveyor belt. This way the food is warm and the seaweed is crisp. There are also other entertaining things like a robot that delivers your drinks, adding your completed plates into the drawer, receiving a tcotchke after eating so many plates, receiving discounts after you pay on the app, etc. Other than the novelty, and the variety of dishes you don't normally see in other Japanese restaurants, the food is okay. Sometimes there was too much rice imo for the small piece of fish and the handrolls are inconsistent, erring on the side of sloppy so that it falls apart when eating.

Food is excellent when you order there. The revolving food is quite good, as well. Not much service should be expected since it’s meant to be a mostly self service restaurant. Atmosphere is too crowded. We were 6 people and we had to sit in separate boots. There are no tables, only booths and bars stools.

I've been to a conveyor belt restaurant in Japan and was excited to hear one opened in Scarsdale. I don't know if this is typical for your location but the day we went, the belt was about 70% empty the entire time we were there, which is a little ridiculous, considering it is your main attraction. I was hungry and finally ordered something from the menu. I'd rather just go to a Japanese restaurant if this is the norm here.

This place kinda sucks. The concept of conveyor belt sushi is really fun but the sushi really sucked. It didn’t taste good, not fresh, kinda a fishy taste. The hot food like the udon was okay but the sushi was some of the worst I’ve had. It’s also really expensive, a plate that has two pieces of sushi is $4 each. Our total for two people was $75 and we didn’t eat a lot, it was $83 at first because they charged us for some random beer we didn’t order but then they fixed it. It was that expensive but we didn’t even have enough plates to get a damn prize. The staff was really nice though, they were great. However I do feel weird about tipping at a place where I order on a screen at my table and a conveyor belt serves me my food. Definitely not authentic food and all the staff were American. Would not recommend. Instead go to Sakura garden in Hastings on Hudson.

We have been going to Fort Lee location for years, and was so happy to find a location opened closer to us in upstate NY. The food here is same quality as Fort Lee. Anything with salmon and scallop is still my favorite. Ordering from the menu and having items delivered on the top conveyor belt was slightly better cause the fish was cold and it's hot outside. For dessert, love the soft clean warabi mochi, reminds me of Kyoto.
Only issue is staff needs more training. When we arrived the restaurant was 80% empty, when we walked in, me and my boyfriend as well as couple behind me was immediately screamed at "you need to check in outside!" So maybe be a little kinder to your customers and not scream and say please, maybe put a sign that digital check in is required, or have someone near entrance to direct customers kindly. We are use to digital check in at Fort Lee because restaurant is always packed and the weight is always an hour. But to walk into a mostly empty restaurant and be forced to digitally check in and then forced to wait while 80% of the tables sit empty, seems kinda odd, especially when it's 90 degrees outside and no one should be forced to wait outside in that. Honestly, if not for the many amazing experiences at the Fort Lee location, the moment the hostess screamed at me when I walked into the door, I would have walked straight out and never come back.
During dining when we put in drink orders, no straws came out and no server came to check if we needed anything, had to flag one down just for straws. Normally in Fort Lee, the server comes with straws immediately.
I love Kura and know they are a good company with good food and normally good customer service (especially the Japan locations have amazing customer service), but this one location needs to better educate their employees on the Japanese level of customer service.

Fun place. If you don't see what you like just place an order on the screen. The hand rolls are very good. So is the fish shaped dessert (which doesn't taste like fish)

I went to this establishment with a group of friends and I'd like to preface my friends enjoyed the experience of revolving sushi and overall enjoyed the food. Unfortunately I did not end up enjoying the sushi as much. If you are a seafood lover and a sushi fanatic I do not recommend this place. Though if you enjoy the experience of revolving sushi it is quite enjoyable. The price goes up by each plate grabbed/purchased and they are priced quite making this a pricy visit. The only menu Items I had were a miso soup and a beef ramen. They both were on the sour side and weren't pleasant to eat. Overall I recommend this place as a one time experience at the minimum for it was fun using the conveyer and the staff were bubbly and energetic.

A mostly authentic kaitenzushi experience except for the lack of oshibori (wet towels or hand sanitizing wipes) and the fact that hot green tea is not complementary. The fish overall was surprisingly good quality but the eel was not great. The tablets are placed too high up and need to be cleaned more often.

We recently went to Kura sushi in Tokyo and were excited to learn that Kura is expanding into the US. The system in the US is not as efficient as Japan but hey, what is! Sushi prices are good for around here, although again compared to Japan about 2 to 3 times more. Still, we are glad go see a Japanese chain so close to home. We'll be going again!

Kura was an amazing experience. The manager, Shae, greeted us friendly & kind, and was incredibly knowledgeable & helpful with navigating the menu and explaining how Kura revolving sushi worked.
Destiny & Katlyn, two of our servers, were also incredibly kind and provided great service for us, including making sure my toddler was comfortable.
The food was excellent with a wide variety of sushi, hand rolls, and great dessert.
I love this addition to Scarsdale and highly recommend coming here. Please check in early to make sure you don’t wait too long!

Disappointing dining experience. Here's why:
-Wait is too long and not worth it. We waited 2hrs
-Was promised someone would explain the process, No one ever did
-Drinks were late
-Most plates on the belt were empty, causing more delays to start dining
-Sushi quality varies.
-I will say staff is nice, esp T.
Dear owner, please outline what steps you will take to address these concerns. I'm seeing a lot of repeated "your feedback is valuable" responses but no meaningful next steps plans to improve the experience. And that to me is souless.
So here's some questions to answer in your response:
What will you do to improve wait times?
What will you do to improve quality?
Will you address that no one came to explain the process?

Long wait for fast food tasting sushi. The wait was 2 hours when the app said it would be between 50 and 80 minutes. We finally got in at 9pm. The hostess told us that someone would be over to explain how the system works, and we waited for 10 minutes and nobody came. We asked the people sitting next to us. So we ordered our drinks. My drinks came out 30 minutes later. My friends drink came out 10 minutes later. We were excited to try the sushi, but we could see the people making it. The workers worked hard, but it is mass produced sushi. Pre made rice balls and a small topping. By the time the conveyer belt came to us there was no sushi! Literally empty plates came by. We sat there for an hour and only were able to have a total of 4 plates of sushi. That is the only thing that was on the conveyer belt. The plates had 2 pieces of sushi on each plate. The sushi was NOT good. It was terrible actually. Don’t waste your time waiting in line for this spot.

Great experience at Kura last night. The sign in is very easy and makes your seating process fast and efficient. Servers are friendly and helpful. Food is beyond delicious. The whole revolving sushi bar experience is fun for families with kids. I highly recommend the seard scallop nigiri, it was my personal favorite.

This is such a cute concept. Too bad we had to wait an hour just to get a table!
I’ll definitely come back, but please, for the love of all that is sacred, CHECK IN EARLY!

Welcome to Scarsdale, popular franchise from Qns & NJ, the wait can be long, when it’s long, try another day, the seating is cozy but small cubical, I been to Japan and it’s small and tiny over there, in 6’1 and my head hits the door frames . The food is great and fresh , it’s so good, you might keep selecting entrees from The carousel, by the time you get your bill, OMG! That’s how the food is served , through. Carousel, you can order special meals through their ordering monitor system, their desert is a go for and their slot machine game is a win win. 🏆 til next time

This restaurant was suggested to me by my wife, she loves sushi 🍣 and it offers Dragonball Super merchandise so if course we had to go!
The wait time was 20 minutes but I know people who waited 90 minutes just to get in, and for such a small new establishment that was a bit surprising.
The atmosphere was great, very clean (it's new) and again the dragonball decorations really made it stand out I'm a fan already!
The sushi was great no complaints at all there but I ordered one of the pork soup bowls and the pork and egg part was half cold, that was a turn off, but the noodles and broth were hot so it's OK.
The have a great selection for the whole family so that was good too but one of our desert orders was incorrect. I ordered ice cream dish#1 but instead got ice cream dish#3. Not what I ordered but when brought to their attention they fixed it right away.
Honestly everything else was great, my wife ate so much sushi that we got a free dragonball prize for it (an incentive for eating 15 plates of sushi) and the French fries were amazing as well!
Sadly the dragonball t-shirts sold out however. Major bummer.
Overall a very enjoyable first time there, will recommend it to any sushi and anime lover out there but make sure you make a reservation to plan ahead for the wait!

Giving a two because my daughter enjoyed her food. I ordered a small order for my daughter to try a few different rolls. I received a text at 8:15 my order was ready. Because I ordered in front of the store I was right there at 8:15 and went straight in and the young lady said we have your order I’ll let you know when it’s ready even after telling her I got a text it was ready. I waited 10 mins then went back to the door & she tells me it’s coming soon. By 8:35 I go back and go in the store she sees me coming and walks to the back and comes back out with my bag. The time on my bag said 8:15 so I waited out side standing up for 20 mins with two young children and my order has been sitting there since 8:15. Even though my daughter enjoyed I will not be returning I hate bad customer service

My server Destiny was great. Really appreciated her being patient with our kids. The food was fun to see the kids reactions. They can get fruit or stuff so they don’t have to eat sushi if they don’t want to. I liked having smaller plates so I could try more stuff.

Great way to taste a variety of sushi! Food was delicious, servers were friendly, and the gacha balls for clearing 15 plates of food was fun. Good for groups of 2-4 since it's typically 2 pieces of sushi to a plate. Ample parking too. Would recommend downloading the app to join the wait list online since it can get busy

Overall, this is a great option for affordable sushi/sashimi (at $3.85 per plate) with friendly service staff and I look forward to Kura Sushi becoming a neighborhood fixture for an exciting dining experience. There was no wait time when we arrived around 6pm on a Monday, but it quickly became crowded by 7-7:30pm, so I would recommend going earlier. The seating space was smaller than I expected (with a mix of booth seats for four+ and rows with single seats), so there might be longer wait times if you go later in the evening.
Soy sauce, wasabi, and ginger are all provided on the table. The plates on the revolving belt are all priced at $3.85 and range from 1-4 items on each plate. For instance, toro and uni (sea urchin) each had one piece on the plate, while seared salmon with Japanese mayo had two pieces. The Philadelphia Roll had three pieces but the kappa maki (cucumber roll) had 4 pieces. There are also hot menu items available, with a reasonable price range of $9.30 (teriyaki chicken) -$11.80 (ten jyutempura box with rice).
Regarding the food, many items were delicious and fresh. Notably, we enjoyed the ten jyu with its crispy shrimp and lightly battered chicken. Additionally, any sashimi was cut generously and had a good mouthfeel. The warabimochi (mochi jelly with soybean powder) was delightfully springy, smooth, and sweet, and it tasted just like the ones we had back in Japan. However, we would not recommend the tonkotsu ramen. While the noodles had a lovely chewy texture and the egg was cooked to perfection, this could not make up for the unusually light taste of the soup where the oils were separated from the water as well as the overly fatty chashu. The general taste of sushi and sashimi was also, unfortunately, rather average. One big disadvantage was that the rice tended to come apart from the items on top (such as the fish or tamago/egg) which made each plate less cohesive as a whole.
Kura Sushi has a rather novel (to the U.S.) feature where you slide your plates into a slot at the table which will then register on the screen how many plates you have eaten. Every 5 plates will trigger a cute animation and you get a guaranteed capsule prize every 15 plates. The current prizes are keychains and stickers featuring characters from Dragon Ball Z. Another cool feature is how all hot food or special order items are delivered (slid) directly to your table via a belt above the revolving one.
All these features were explained to us by a staff member once we were seated, including how to use the screen to order and how to properly take a plate off the revolving bar. We like how hygienic the restaurant is where there is a lid over any plate revolving around to protect the items inside. All staff were very professional and thoughtful. We experienced an issue with our food but it was resolved quickly, and we felt our concerns were both heard and acknowledged.
With such wonderful and attentive staff, I am sure that the food quality and wait times will stabilize as the restaurant is open longer. They're doing a wonderful job so far, especially in opening while there's still construction blocking their front entrance. I plan to return and I am hopeful that, in time, Kura Sushi will become a solid 5-star experience.

The food was very fresh, delicious and served beautifully. The restaurant was extremely clean. The atmosphere was wonderful and we had so much fun choosing our dishes. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. We spent a very enjoyable evening, laughing the hours away. The one negative is the waiting time to be seated is very, very long.

Came here for the first time on Mother’s Day. As soon as you get there, you have to check in on the tablet. You will then have to enter your name, number and number of people dining in. My family and I had to wait 60-90 mins. A great selection of food and drinks. The prices were reasonable. The staff was friendly. What stands out about this place is just looking at the variety of roll, sushi and dessert that comes around on the coveyor belt while you eat. You can also order on the touchscreen at your table. I highly recommend this place.

Atmosphere and service was fine. But the food horrible almost like " fast food " sushi. It was a experience for my 9 year old son but that's about it. Would not return.

We came in and were sat immediately, despite it being a little busy. The menu was easy enough to choose, and the sushi was great. I tried sushi I typically wouldn’t order, like steak, and eel. The food was really good, and per person it would be maybe $30-$40. But if you eat a lot of sushi, something awesome happens.
Staff were all nice and very attentive. Bathrooms had bidets and warming seats.
Would definitely come again. The only thing I beg for is a chocolate dessert option.

Super cute place! It's small but the service is great and the wait staff is so inviting when you first walk in! The service was fast and the food was pretty good! I'd say the only down side was there were a lot of empty plates rotating through the belt but there were so many options it made up for it

The atmosphere is nice as you get to sample different types of sushi so we were excited to go here. With that said, the sushi quality was some of the poorest quality I’ve had. Everything fried was over fried and others had so much rice. I hope they get a better quality of sushi over time.
Visited 9 months ago
Based on reviews we were hoping for a great experience, but the sushi was very mediocre. If you've got kids this could be a fun destination but otherwise there are far better places in Westchester for sushi.
Also, the ginger and wasabi were in containers with removable lids; we asked for a fresh serving because we didn't want to use food that's been picked at by other customers (the soy sauce was in a normal closed dispenser-- no issues with that). Our server assured us that the open condiments were replaced fresh each time. Five minutes later the table next to us turned over and the ginger and wasabi were not replaced. Ick.

Kura sushi is my favorite sushi restaurant. There is an amazing variety of different sushi. I recommend the octopus, rainbow roll, and the shrimp with yuzus jalapeño paste. Kura sushi is amazing. I went with my kids and they loved the conveyer belt concept and the toys you are rewarded after eating 15 plates of sushi.

I went to Kura on the first day they were open. I've previously visited their Fort Lee NJ location.
I got there 15 mins before they opened and waited 1 hour for a table. The staff was doing their best to manage the large crowd.
You check in via a tablet and they text you when your table is ready. The system was a little glitchy.
Once inside, we received good service and ate some good food. I was impressed at how well things were going considering it was the first day of business.
For those of you who have never been to a restaurant like this, you order food and drinks from a tablet on at your table. Sushi, rolls and other dishes go past you on a conveyor belt. Each dish is the same cost. When you are done with the dish, you put it into a slot at the table which counts how many you had.
You can get a prize for having certain number of dishes. The prizes are pretty cheap and not worth it, but I was there for the food.
The tables can fit 4 people. Its not a good place for a large group. There is a section for single diners if you are just one or two people.
Note that as of April 22, 2024, the parking area is under construction.
I recommend signing up for their app to get the rewards points and to manage your waitlist time.

Great restaurant, great staff. The wait time was long but not a surprise considering it was the grand opening. Highly recommend. The hokkaido scallop and the sea urchin were really good quality and beats many of the sushi in the city. My family from Japan also enjoyed it.
