PLANTA Queen is a celebration of innovative and plant-based Asian-inspired cuisine by Chef David Lee, served in a high energy and beautifully designed space with an overflow of fun, late-night vibes. PLANTA Queen New York stays true to signatures like Truffle Udon and Bang Bang Broccoli while expanding plant-powered horizons in the way of dumplings, sushi, sustainably crafted cocktails, and more. PLANTA Queen reimagines and reinvents plant-based dining, providing flavorful (and fun) proof that the power of plants can change the world.
I have been to Planta more than 4 times now! I am a preferred vegetarian and love this place because the menu is all vegan. Every dish in the menu is mouth watering! I got my mom here too and she liked it so much that we came back twice. It is great to see how they keep changing the menu so everytime you visit you can expect so try new dishes. However, I want them to bring the rainbow sushi back to the menu it was my favourite!!!
Overall great food, great service, awesome location and one of my favourite restaurants in NYC.

We had the most incredible experience at PLANTA! The food was absolutely exceptional, the service was fantastic, and the atmosphere was beautiful. We ordered the bang bang broccoli and the crispy rice for starters, and for our main, we ordered The Torched and Pressed, and Volcano roll. I highly recommend the Bang Bang broccoli (we didn’t get photos because we ate it too fast) which is a delicious creamy savory and fried broccoli, and the torched and pressed which is a phenomenal avocado roll with truffle. Will definitely be going back anytime I visit NYC!

The three of us shared the Baked Crab Roll, Queen Caesar, Bang Bang Broccoli, 1000 Layer Crispy Potatoes, Udon Noodles, and Singapore Noodles. For dessert we shared the Pumpkin Cheese Cake. All were delicious, perfectly prepared and presented. Efficient and friendly staff. Lovely ambiance. Very popular too.

A full vegan restaurant with so much variety and amazing dishes. We reserved a table for Monday evening dinner with friends. Our table was ready at scheduled time upon arrival. The has two floors, the big bar is on the first floor, lower floor has a smaller bar and few more dining space, with some wonderful interior.
The menu had lots of small plates, sushi rolls, shareable entrees and of lots of drinks. We ordered 10-12 items all together. Most of the dishes were really incredible. Some of the best ones were bang bang broccoli, bao slider, avocado lime tartare, chili garlic tofu, dragon roll and spicy tuna roll. All items came out at a decent pace, we were able to enjoy the dinner for almost 3 hours. The 500ml sake was got enough for 2 rounds of shots for 4 people. I liked the cucumber mint lemonade as well. We ended the dinner with a chocolate brownie and matcha cheesecake, both were decent dessert items.
The service was amazing throughout the night. Our server was a pro. He kept checking on the table, took out empty plates, kept filling up water and drinks. Never thought a vegetarian restaurant could be this much creative and popular, was really amazed by the experience.

Exceptional vegan food that makes you forget that you are at a vegan restaurant, with strong Japanese, Asian and some new American influences. Decent prices, nice ambience and wonderful selection, primarily designed for sharing with a group. They have great daily specials/ deals as well. Very strongly recommend.
Our favorites were the torched and pressed Maki roll, Bang Bang broccoli and the special Black summer roll but everything we had was great and bursting with flavor. Our favorite dessert was the matcha cheesecake.
The mocktails were also quite good, especially the spa day rose.

I’ve been to this place at least five times and have always enjoyed it. I recently returned for one of my belated birthday celebrations and had a cozy meal with a good time. However, one downside was that despite having a reservation for 7:45 pm, we weren’t seated until nearly 8 pm, which made the reservation feel redundant.
Our waiter was very efficient and recommended some dishes which were tasty and enjoyable.
ORDERED:
Firecracker roll
Torched & pressed
Caesar salad
Bang Bang Broccoli
Singapore noodle
Out of all the dishes we ordered, I really liked the torched & pressed and the bang bang broccoli the best, from my previous visits, I really liked the Dan Dan noodle and the unagi eggplant the best.

I landed in NY yesterday, and this was my first spot on my list of places to visit when I came back to NYC. Having been to Planta in Toronto, it was great to know that not all locations serve the same items. I had an amazing experience with Yasmin (apologies for the spelling) I love to be surprised by a staff members favourite menu item so I asked her for the spicy tuna roll, bang bang broccoli and to surprise me with her fav.item on the menu which was the firecracker roll and I also tried their lych please cocktail and also asked her to surprise me again with her fav. Dessert, and she did not disappoint!!!!. highly recommend anyone to give this spot a try. The decor is just beautiful without being over the top, and the prices are affordable. Will try this spot again before I leave

The first time I tried Planta the experience was glorious! Our server was incredibly helpful and personable. The food (crab, brocc, noods, truff rice) was out of this world. Tried the D.C. location and while the staff was fantastic I was completely underwhelmed by the menu options and portions. So a few months go by and I try the W 57th location again. Sadly the food seemed flavorless. It just wasn't the same experience. Very Sade. Queue "Never As Good As the First Time"
Side note: if you're paying cash - they don't accept coins. Weird.

I’ve been to this location multiple times before, and the space is always very busy, but it tends to get very loud in there. The food previously has been amazing, but I went on NYE and the whole experience was a disappointment, and it wasn’t nearly as busy as previous visits. The apps were microwaved, specifically the crab dip, one of the entrees we were told they didn’t have, after we ordered it. The best thing we had was the bang bang broccoli. The service was awful. Our waiter checked on us 3 times. We went without water for most of our meals. Other staff members were just taking care of us in between there tables, and the manager ended up taking over. It took 20 minutes for our waited to bring us change back at the end. Two other people tried to deliver checks to us because they thought we were waiting to pay. It was a complete mess. Management needs to work on their training significantly. Probably will not return to this location as there are many far superior options in Manhattan.

As vegetarians we weee looking forward to some exciting pan Asian fare in a ( vegetarian) comfortable, beautiful space.
The staff accommodated our delay in arrival- thank you. Wait staff was knowledgeable and got me a tiny taste of a sauce I wanted. Thank you.
Food - piping hot. Awesome. Because they bring dishes as soon as they are ready. However this leads to dishes being totally out of sequence. If the sushi chef is busy you may get your hot appetizers before the sushi or if you’ve ordered entrées early on they’ll come when they’re ready
Cocktails were delicious so were the mocktails but the portions were too small with way too much ice
Noodles were oily. Broccoli was tasty but needed more bang. The suburbs serve better vegetarian sushi. Actually there’s a way better vegan sushi joint in Manhattan.
This is New York City - put some punch in the food. I think the food needed a little heat, lots more flavor, some salt and some acid all across the board. For me the overall fare was … average tasting, lacking flavor.
Sorry. Cant give 4 or 5 stars.

To say this blew my mind is an understatement!

Stop everything you’re doing and just go here. I’ve been wanting to visit planta for a really long time now. I used to live in jersey & was able to visit nyc whenever but of course, planta came to town after I moved and since then, I’ve just been drooling over the menu.
I visited mid November for a late lunch with 4 of my friends. We got seated fairly quickly & there were plenty of diners at the same time as us. First off, I’m a vegetarian but allergic to tree nuts, so when our server came around, she adjusted my menu to cross off the items that I wouldn’t be able to eat. I LOVED that. The guys had ordered the fresh juice to start, and my girl friend & I ordered cocktails - mez cal me maybe & a cucumber mule. Both were outstanding. For food, we ordered spicy tuna roll, summer rolls, bang bang broccoli, lettuce wraps and more. Everything as so delicious, even my husband thought so and he’s a carnivore.
Definitely recommend this place & I absolutely cannot wait to be back!

PLANTA Queen was a delicious find, made better by the fact that I didn’t have to question anything on their menu (all vegan!). We went on their Monday all-you-can-eat roll day, so while it was very busy (& loud with their close seating), their service was still a 10/10. I would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a fun dining experience.

As avid vegetarian foodies, we were really excited to try planta queen, however I hate to say that it didn't hold up to the hype, especially in relation to the price we paid for the meal. The udon noodles were quite bland and the spicy tuna maki roll was nothing spectacular. We also got seated late, despite having a reservation on a Sunday night. The general service and vibe was pretty good but if you're looking for flavoursome vegan food that doesn't break the bank, I'd suggest looking elsewhere.

Love, love loved it. We tried something from (almost) every section on the menu. Nothing was too heavy. The baked crab roll was perfectly spicy and creamy but not too creamy. The truffle noodles were to die for. The beef and broccoli was exactly what I’d hoped for. Wine was good; cocktails were good. Two happy customers one vegan and one not :) Service was EXTREMELY good. At one point we had two different servers helping make cocktail suggestions at the same time! 10/10. Will definitely come back.

Was visiting NY and ran across this place on a Google search and it was a 2 min walk from where we were. We made it during happy hour so we order the Sake to Me which was a refreshing drink and 'Tinis. We ordered the spicy tuna roll from Happy hour menu and that was really good. We tried the firecracker wings as well, they were ok but (not a fan) we sent them back in exchange for the Korean chick'n bao which we thought was ok as well. The bang bang broccoli was pretty good as well. Our main dish was the dan dan noodles, which was a good dish as well. Overall, I spent $120+ here. Great date night spot but I probably would not make this my first spot. The food was good and the establishment is really nice but I am okay with the one experience.

I love Planta Queen! The food and service are incredible. The sushi is fresher than fresh and everything is delicious. The only thing I don’t understand and that seems off is that the main dishes don’t come with rice, and a small bowl side of white rice is $5. This seems very unnecessary and not customer friendly. I say include white rice and charge $5 for a fancier purple or brown rice option. People will buy it and also not feel like they are being overcharging for what should be included with the meal.

A little too casual atmosphere in the restaurant; I came here for a special occasion with my wife. Ambience was good while the food and drinks were okay. I did inform them to accommodate a small birthday sign there and they said they would inform the server to have it ready in our table; when we got there, they didn't accommodate my request and we just got a regular table without any candles/decor in the center either.

Food isn’t very tasty, Caesar salad we got was just a bunch of kale with toppings. Cauliflower dish was decent but they upcharged us $15 for swapping rice with noodles and didn’t mention about the extra cost until the check arrived. Layered potatoes were fine but not mind blowing. With two cocktails ordered, this came to be $110 for two. I left hungry and disappointed

This is the second time In a row that the service has been horrible. Saw our waitress in the beginning then never again. Had to wait 10-15 mins to ask to have water filled. No one checked on us. Runners brought food out and that’s when we had to ask for forks and drinks. It was a prefix Thanksgiving menu. But no where does it say it’s sharing. A guy sitting close by was by himself and receive both desserts. And it shows you receive both on menu. We had 1 of each to share. The food was good. But service was lacking they did comp one of meals which was very nice. I just don’t think I can keep going back based on service we have received at this location. This is the only one where I’ve had a problem. We were told I. The end it was change over and they only had 2 servers. like that made it ok. The communication was very poor.

I absolutely love planta and their franchises. I really wish they would update the menu more in this particular location, I see them adding so many things to their menus however in this location you can hardly find anything. I guess they send everything to BK. It’s a bit disappointing, given that the planta MIA is so awesome but I’m disappointed by this location, even when they do have a new item, you must get it fast because they will run out.

Will never come back until under new management! My 5th visit here. Arrived at 6:44 no reservation. Hostess says I can seat you at 7:15. I say no problem. Just call if you can seat us sooner. In the process of taking down my number she goes “oh someone just booked reservation for 715, you’ll have to wait until 8 now”. Says very nasty and unapologetic. But Im like “you already gave me that time”. She gives zero apology. I ask for the manager and her first response is “he’s just going to tell you the same thing”, I ask to speak with the manager again and the second response is “uhhh he’s busy”. I say “but you didn’t even go tell him someone wishes to speak with him, please go get him”. Her third response now… “Is there something I can help you with?” Ridiculous. I had to ask a different staff member to get the manager. He comes right away, his name is Omar. I explain the situation and that I understand policies for staff and how systems work. He claims to understand, very polite. Says “he’ll have me seated as soon as possible”. Takes my number I say thanks and go to the car to wait. He comes out and says best I can do is 8:15 😂. This place needs better customer service. If someone is told 715 then seat them at 715 or close to it. A different reservation should not be able negate me to the point of an extra hour wait. That’s silly. A reservation is not even obligated to actually arrive and I made a “reservation” in person for the 715 time. Telling me you’ll have me seated then telling me an even later time is comical. I won’t be returning to this location. I went to Williamsburg and was almost completely through my meal when I received an alert from this location. And the host also harassed me by sending 30+ alerts to my phone trying to be funny. Pic attached below. She should be replaced for sure

I have been to this location with girlfriend before and we had an amazing experience - this time i went for my anniversary with my husband and we had a completely different experience
1) not sure why the check in/hostess area is in the middle of the room, after 4/5 round tables that basically have to deal with people walking in and out including delivery folks
2) we were placed in the darkest and closest to the entry table they had which meant we got the wind blowing every time a delivery person or a guest came in
3) sushi came but waitress didn't even check if we had soy sauce - she just came put the food on the table and left - seems like waiters these days especially in NY do the bare minimum
4) the rug at the entrance was all crooked but again no one puts attention into anything these days - i ended up fixing it with my husband so it looked nicer
5) we got a bit the vibe like we were doing the restaurant a favor for being there but maybe it was my mistake thinking this is a nice restaurant for a special occasion
this time was a 5 compared to a 9 experience we got when seated in the nicer area of the restaurant. we won't be going back to this location, but rather opt for the Williamsburg location.

I'm giving this place a good review because it's vegan. If I'm being serious as a food critic though, it was about as good as I would expect from a run-of-the-mill Chinese takeout. NYC has a lot of fantastic vegan competition, so I wouldn't go here again. The Udon noodle dish was a strange one... noodles drowned in an out-of-place cheesy sauce with a few paltry, token slices of baby bella mushroom in there. And then the other dish was a pile of fried rice with tiny bit of Just Egg and a few peas. If you want fine dining, this isn't the place. I was even bugged by little details like cleaning spray bottles on display in the dining room where they shouldn't be visible. The food was edible, and if I'm not being a foodie with high standards, then hey, edible vegan food is great! And the sushi was fine! I'll say that! It was fine! I wanted to be impressed in the Big Apple, but I was not. I give Planta Queen an A for effort. If it were in a small town, then I'd be an enthusiastic patron!

Incredible food. Best fried rice I ever had. Ever. Matcha cheesecake was unbelievable. Also, service was great and the kitchen was very knowledgeable about allergies/dietary restrictions. I can’t eat gluten, corn, or peanuts and our waitress marked up a menu for me which was super helpful. Nice dine-in spot with comfy chairs but not too formal. For the quality of the food, very reasonably priced. Next time I’m on 5th Ave, I will be going back!

If I could give them six stars I would!!!
So refreshing to have a full vegan menu to choose from with no limitations on which dishes you need to choose. Quality of ingredients used were amazing and I couldn't fault a single dish.
Highlights were the Bang Bang broccoli and twice fried potato stacks. Also of note were the so a noodles with satay sauce.
We will definitely return if in New York again.

I always stand by the fact that how one is welcomed when entering a restaurant sets the precedence on how good or bad your experience will be and this restaurant was nothing short of memorable. The lovely hostess was nothing but sweet and accommodating and was able to seat my guests and I early. Their cocktails are so intricate and delicious - order “Herb your Enthusiasm” which is a basil, tequila blend. For apps & entrees, we had their Dan Dan noodles, Udon Mushroom noodles, Corn dumplings, and a slew of hand rolls and each were a perfect blend of sweet, savory and absolutely delicious. By the end of the night, I was shocked by how reasonable the price was for such amazing dishes that I had to search to see if this restaurant was Michelin rated (they’re not), but I’m sure that’ll change, because the food was so good I forgot it was all vegan!

As a party of four, we recently dined at Planta Queen. While some dishes truly shined, others fell short.
The firecracker roll, Japanese sweet potato, and bao sliders were absolute standouts! Bold flavors and great presentation. The bang bang broccoli and fried rice were solid choices but came in second.
However, the November special ramen was a let down. Impressive that the restaurant took our feedback well and even removed the item from the bill without being asked. It speaks volumes about their commitment to customer satisfaction.

A delightful vegan restaurant! Both the staff at reception and the waiting staff were super helpful and sweet. The waiting staff recommended the yummy ‘Dan Dan’ noodles, when I said that I was looking for a noodle dish. I also had the seasonal pumpkin cheesecake, which was really yummy too! The ambience was nice too! Happy to discover this wonderful vegan place and recommend that vegans and non vegans alike visit and try their yummy grub!

My brother had his wedding reception here. Strictly vegan. There were five appetizers and five entrees served as a buffet style done with serving dishes brought to each table in the reception. They actually brought out about nine appetizers and five entrees. Everything was done outstandingly and was absolutely delicious. I ate so much I was having a little trouble breathing. I seldom give five stars or top marks to anyone because they might take it to mean they no longer need to work hard to do excellence on a regular basis. But these folks did an absolutely fantastic job and had some of the best vegan food I have EVER had. They have my undying thanks for a wonderful experience and a huge thank you for being such a great place for my brother’s reception.

We had a reservation, we called to advice we where slightly late, at the phone they said they would keep the table and when we arrived we've been told that only the bar was available (very rudely). Fine, we sit at the bar, we order drink and food. The only plate that was barely good was the tuna roll, all the rest was sooo disappointing. The pad thai was a kale salad (there was NO papaya inside, only kale that wasn't even wrote in the menù), the dumpling, probably frozen, tasted like they we're old or even expired. It was absolutely under our expectations. Not always when It looks fancy It Is worthy. We'll never come back

PLANTA is one of my all time favorite vegan restaurants. If you like mushrooms the Udon noodles are AMAZING. I always get the crispy rice too cause it's so dang good!

I recommend: General D’s cauliflower and Dan Dan noodle and bang bang Brocolli

I will be coming here multiple times. Planta Queen is an all vegan restaurant. They have a Maki Monday where all their sushi rolls are $9 each (excluding specials). I could eat three of the tuna rolls. The bang bang broccoli is also delicious. Then there’s the lychee cocktail! I want to go back to try everything on the menu. You definitely should make a reservation because it gets busy.

The food is always great I go here often. The service this time was severely disappointing. Reservations don’t mean much. We had a reservation for 7:45pm but were not seated until 8:30pm. This dinner was planned for me to have my elderly grandmother who was visiting me from abroad try different foods. She cannot walk or stand for long but because we had to wait for the table, she had to stand for about 45mins. Every time we checked in with the hostesses they said they were “getting the table ready” and one of them seemed to almost have a breakdown because we were asking repeatedly - this was half an hour post reservation time. We were also seated in front of the door and it was cold outside and the cold breeze kept hitting my grandma - we did mention this to the waiter but there was no offer to switch tables. The manager did come by and comped all of our appetizers which was really nice of them. But overall the experience was abrasive and upsetting. I sincerely hope the hostesses actions in seating every party arriving after us and dishonoring the reservation slot was not racially motivated - because my grandmother was in traditional clothing. Less inclined to go back

The food is not good.
Only 25 minutes someone comes to take an order or to ask if you need something.

Great place. We don’t give up anything when eating at Planta Queen. I love their bao, gyoza, fried rices, volcano roll, spinach dumplings. Everything was tasty and service was great.

Pretty location, nice staff & pretty bad food.
The premium price you pay for it doesn't match the food you're getting. I had the truffle rice and it tasted like nothing but oil. Truffle was missing from the dish and they're charging $26 for this? The layered potatoes also tasted like straight oil. I understand when something is fried it will have a slight taste but your whole palette shouldn't be coated in it.. I'm disappointed because the staff was nice and the place was cute. Shame.

2yrs ago: Food was good. Service not the best. Nice but slow and didn't check in enough
9/29/24 went for a belated birthday celebration. I've been to Planta Queen many times since my first visit 2 years ago. I have to say I was quite disappointed. The server didn't enter and then it took over 10 minutes to get it from the kitchen. She said it shouldn't take too long, it should have been a rush order! They brought a flat sparkling rose and when they replaced it they were a little snippy about it. The server didn't check in when the food arrived. The bang bang broccoli wasn't super hot neither were the noodles when they finally arrived. I found this special volcano roll to lack flavor. I will go back and give it another try. And bring the dan dan noodles back. ;)

The hostess was so sweet and helpful and our server Franny was the best.

The food was excellent. It felt like I was eating food from an alternate universe where food just tastes better in general. And our server was incredible. Just docking 1 star for atmosphere because it was a little cramped walking to the bathroom and the bathroom itself could have been cleaner but everything else was incredible.

As a Non-vegan/vegetarian. Went to the restaurant with friends, no expectations, and no prior knowledge of the menu.
Everything was great. Service was professional, food choices were fantastic, ordered tons of small plates, drinks were strong, place was clean and interior design was well thought out.
Prices are in higher range but the food quality, presentation, and taste were exceptional. Easy recommend and our waiter was top notch.
Easy recommend 5/5

It was my second time to this restaurant and the food tasted differently from one year ago for some reason. Sushi were great , but everything else was just okay.
We chose to sit outside , the atmosphere was not great at all ( dark , no music , tables too close to each other ) and the service was slow . One of the orders ( truffle rice ) was served 20 min after all other ones , so by the time we got it we were ready to leave .
Don’t think I’ll go back.

Make a reservation this place is crazy busy. 2nd visit this time I was seated downstairs. It took a long time to get our drinks. There is a bar downstairs but was not in use. Food was excellent as usual

Nice spot, starters were absolutely excellent, mains were fine. Service was spotty though, it was 15 min before we got greeted, had to flag staff down numerous times to get service. Would give them another shot.

My second impression, (after the luxury decor) was of the distance between the host stand and the door, so I was a little lost upon entry. But once the hosts found me, they were warm and kind, and the grand decor grew more comfortable. I could relax at the bar, without a reservation, solo. The bartender with cool glasses got me what I needed promptly. The cold peanut noodles were excellent and filling. I was a little surprised that the chick'n bao featured the same crispy mushroom as the hand-roll, so in hindsight I would only have gotten the bao. Sake-to-me cocktail was strong and refreshing-- I soon asked the hosts (cousins?) where the restroom was and they were once again polite and helpful. Good Tuesday happy hour experience. Vegan food.

I am such a strong supporter of vegan restaurants and love asian fusion, however this one was a let down for my husband and me. We walked in and were excited about the buzz and the steady flow of customers. We accepted a table outside and were not permitted to choose one of the other empty tables that were open; and remained open for our entire meal with one exception. The table just shy of 12 inches from ours was offered to a couple with a very large dog, This table was between the only two occupied tables in the outside shed. There were 5 empty tables far away from the two occupied tables, A note is that the dog immediately put his face on the table of the other dinners to get a good sniff of their food. When I asked the host to seat the couple with the dog at the empty end of the outdoor seating she refused saying they were reserved. When we were not happy with her response, she agreed to get the manager. Before the manager arrived our waitstaff returned and relocated the couple with the very large dog to the empty end of the dinning shed. The manager apologized however you really can't apologize for poorly trained staff. I did compliment the responsiveness of our waitstaff that quickly moved the couple with the dog to the empty corner of the shed. I like dogs but this space was very tight for a dog to dine at a table right next to ours. Another note was that we were not wowed by the food. The Pad Thai was bland and watery, the crab cake rolls were just okay, and the chili garlic dish had the most flavor. I am a big fan of the restaurants that are part of City Roots Hospitality (cityrootsnyc.com) and Overthrow Hospitality (overthrowhospitality.com) and will continue to frequent these vegan hot spots over Planta in the future.

This has to easily be among the best vegan restaurants I've ever dined at. Vegan restaurants often overdo substitutes of their meaty counterparts with some highly processed food. This place was quite the opposite. I had met some family over for lunch, one Friday afternoon. The ambience was laid back and casual. The food is predominantly Japanese with a number of other Asian options as well. We had selection of caviar crunch rolls, potato truffles, crisp tofu, avocado lime tartare, udon noodles and truffle fried rice. The food was fresh, hot and perfectly seasoned. The service is engaging and efficient. Overall, this restaurant has been an awesome find and will definitely revisit the next time I visit the City.

The restaurant was so noisy and very loud music was playing that we couldn't talk because we couldn't hear each other and had to yell. It ruined my whole impression of the experience. There were 5 of us, and we wanted to hang out and talk. Instead, we quickly ate our appetizers and went elsewhere. Almost everything we ordered was spicy. Keep that in mind if you don't like spicy food. The service was good but too fast. We had to catch the waiter to ask or order something. I wish the restaurant would pay more attention to customers, quiet pleasant music, and more attentive service.

The baked crab roll tasted like it was pre-made and lacked freshness, worse than something you’d pick up at a supermarket. The cauliflower in the General D’s cauliflower dish was overcooked to the point of being mushy, like it was intended for someone with no teeth. The only highlights of the meal were the Japanese sweet potato and the Pad Thai slaw, which were genuinely enjoyable.
Service was disappointingly slow. We constantly had to search for our server, and the noise level in the restaurant was overwhelming. It was so loud that I had to shout talking to my friend sitting across from me. The tables were so close together that it felt like we were sharing a meal with the people next to us.

Came across planta in Miami and absolutely loved it, was so happy to see one (now two) in new york !
This place is an absolute gem and would highly recommend it to everyone (vegans and non vegans). Favourite items on the menu :
1. Bang bang broccoli (even liked by people who hate broccoli )
2. Spicy tuna roll (so creamy !)
3. Japanese Sweet potato ( always a hit everytime i’ve visited )
4. Truffle fried rice
5. Udon noodles ( creamy and savoury )
6. Matcha cheesecake
The weekend brunch with unlimited mimosas is amazing, specially since the deal is a good one.
They also sell a lot of items on their website- would highly recommend the cookies. They’re HUGE and so tasty !!

Update August 2024 Manhattan: they recently added the option to add tofu to the Queen Caesar. I was so excited, love more protein options. Buyer beware, it's a whopping $7 extra for straight out of the box raw tofu
No marinade
No cooking
No seasoning
STRAIGHT OUT THE BOX
Like 10 little tiny raw tofu squares (my sister got the same thing at the same time but hers had half the amount of tofu)
So I'm like whoa what is this, can it get a lil extra something something, a lil flavor... anything. It was awkward but I'm not paying an extra $7 for a few raw pieces of tofu
Our server was accommodating and took it back to be fixed
It returns with FOUR fried squares 😭so now you're paying $7 for FOUR pieces of still...unseasoned but now fried tofu 😭😭
Shameful, disgraceful. Certainly not an Asian person behind this menu addition and cooking 😭
I've been here multiple times and I enjoy the Queen Caesar a lot. It's a lot of money for what it is but whatever. But adding $7 for the pathetic raw tofu straight out the box is criminal y'all 😭😭😭can't say I'll come back for the food. The brownie sundae still slapping though

Probably the best vegan food you’ll ever have. I’m not vegan, but I loved everything I ate at PLANTA Queen! It’s going to be crowded and loud indoors and so we opted for outdoor seating, and 10/10 would come back. Be sure to make a reservation!
Recommending the Ahi Tuna Roll. You can’t go wrong with that. The Crispy Mushroom Bao. And the Mushroom Truffle Udon!

Great plant based spot with really good food! Cute decor also gives the place ambiance.

It takes serious culinary skill to make plant based food taste good and with variety. You get both at this restaurant. The Mango Sour is absolutely excellent! Parking spots are not easy to find though. The Bang Bang Broccoli is the best!

Did a reservation for 4, me and my partner arrived on time we wanted to get the table while our other 2 friends arrived. Just to get a drink while we wait, the host refused to give us the table…there were plenty empty tables)

Really loved the concept and felt like the restaurant delivered on a unique experience with food combos that are fun to try. Overall felt the dishes we got were under seasoned (and wasn’t clear if it was intentional given soy sauce on the table) so something to be mindful of. Loved that on Wednesday they had have bottles of wine the orange wine we a got was amazing. I’d skip the ahi watermelon
