Had a good time here. Its a not cute restaurant with decent prices. They sell pretty much most things you can get at a regular Chinese store, their portions are pretty good tho. I had the shrimp and broccoli, the broccoli was cooked to perfect! Their calamari was great too and their wings! Service was good and the atmosphere was nice and cute! I'd definitely come back!

Great spot. I guess it was an low key weekend as there was no hustle and bustle but our experience was still top notch. Service was amazing, food was delicious, drinks were making you want more. The Crazy Rich Asians margarita was a party in my mouth with a Pop Rocks rim!! I couldn't get enough of it! Ambiance was really nice!! Will definitely go back and hoping for a bigger crowd next time for socializing.

Beautiful decor and presentation of dishes! The cage seating was creative and comfortable.
Food was good. The roasted duck not the most excellent I’ve had but nothing was disappointing. Really liked the shrimp shumai dim sum sampler. I’ll maybe come back and order a few more to see if anything here can be wow-level tasty - so far I don’t think there’s anything that memorable. The dishes are fine, but only “I think it was a solid meal” fine, not “I’ll recommend this place to other people” or “I’ll become a regular” fine.
Environment was clean and service was ok. Quite a few restrooms, all well maintained.

It was a quiet Sunday evening at the restaurant. So our server gave our table a lot of attention. He came by to refill our waters and checked in on us a few times.
We ordered the rock shrimp tempura, dim sum sampler and soup dumpling sampler for appetizers. Also had That's a Punch cocktail which was sweet and delish.
We came with family who ordered the most American Chinese dish you could order which were just ok. But my husband and I ordered the panko-fried Sea Bass Filets with sweet Thai chili sauce and Cumin Lamb ribs. These dishes were very tender and flavorful!!
I would come back to try it the other dishes!

My partner and I were very excited to try this restaurant, we had passed this place for a while and we finally got to try It recently. Honestly I was not expecting to be this disappointed. We did get to sit in the cage booth and that was really cute. We were given dirty menus but also they had a QR code you can use as well. I chose that option because the dirty menus were grossing me out. I started with a lychee martini, It was strong and good. We ordered the Szechuan shrimp, lychee shrimp and mala chicken (extra spicy). The Szechuan shrimp dumplings were the best thing we had and that was honestly a 5/10. The lychee shrimp were cute but tasted like dough, 1/10 and we returned It. The mala chicken was the driest thing ever and all they did was overwhelm the chicken with more chilis, we had taken this to go but I threw It out. The food was a complete waste of money. Now service, that was terrible. The bartender was taking orders in the cages, she wasn’t attentive, left the tables dirty, didn’t check in when the food arrived and barely touched the table. She had checked on the guest next to us and a simple are you guys okay seemed like too much for her to do. Overall I would suggest not wasting your time. Food is overpriced and not worth It.

TLDR: It started off strong with delicious drinks and appetizers, but the entrees were horrible. Would only go for apps next time.
🌸 oysters uni and ikura were huge fresh and delicious. We ended up getting a second round of it, which dipped in quality the second round but not so far off that they weren’t enjoyable.
🌸 tuna tartar and caviar had a beautiful presentation, delicious, fresh, with generous portions. The seaweed crackers were a perfect pairing to it and added a delightful crisp texture.
🌸 the dim sum platter, small but again really nice, chewy texturally pleasing skin and flavorful fillings. The shrimp & vegetable dumplings I enjoyed the most
Here’s where it get bad and for the price you’re paying, you’d expect absolutely better quality. My husbands entree came well before they brought mine out.
❌ the pepper steak, on sizzle platter but without the actual sizzle, the sauce separates, chunks of raw vegetable, the onions were cut like someone’s kid did it, the steak itself was rubbery, chewy, with absolutely no sear, it’s like they put everything on the plate and dumped hot oil on it expecting it to cook itself.
❌ the sushi entree, 10 pieces of sushi, you would hope for the price they charge, would be fantastic quality or at least all fish. They plated imitation crab, and that inexpensive rubbery shrimp. They had the nerve that 2 out of the ten were pieces you’d see in cheap sushi restaurants.
Overall service was very kind but disorganized. They realized no one came over to us when we sat down for about 20 minutes, the server gave us a free drink (we didn’t ask for it he volunteered it which was incredibly generous) but we never knew who our waiter was, 3/4 different people rotated coming to the table. But everyone was professional, kind, and attentive.

I should’ve checked the bad reviews before I came here. The food looks good in the photos when in reality it’s disgusting. The calamari was inedible, wings were okay, the only thing that’s actually good here is the pork soup dumplings. One of our entrées came out cold. The waitress comped the calamari then tried to charge us $20 for a Shirley temple… Extremely disappointed

My boyfriend and I loved this place. But today was such a let down I just don’t think I could ever come back here. My boyfriend’s lychee martini was discolored...the martini was brown. The spicy yellowtail roll was an overload amount of mayo. The dumplings were too fried. We also found out that this place has been taken over new ownership. The old cinnabar had such an interesting menu, the drinks were always incredible. But this was just such a let down. Our waiter was so rude we were asking about getting a different drink he completely ignored the question and said “your foods coming” and just stormed off beyond rude not even friendly.

We went right when they opened and ended up being the only patrons in the restaurant so we were hoping for an amazing high touch experience, but unfortunately it was the opposite. The bartender hadn't arrived yet so we had to wait until close to the end of our meal to order a cocktail. The food was also just ok- (not bad but just ok) Based on all the great reviews and beautiful photos we were expecting much better. The waitress was extremely kind to us which is why we gave an extra star.

Food and service is not good at all. We ordered shrimp lo mein and it was bland. The general tsos chicken was hard and lacked sauce. To top it off we asked for forks at 6pm. They said they do not have any forks all of them are in the wash. We then proceeded to ask for plastic forks because how were we supposed to eat the Lomein?? This place is overhyped, save your money and eat elsewhere. The only semi decent things were the drinks.

I moved to this area 10 years ago and have watched this restaurant change into many different things I hope Cinnabar is here to stay! Service was good, drinks were good, ambiance excellent. I came in for a quick bite and was satisfied with everything the wings, scallion pancake, and shrimp tempura roll washed down with a Lychee martini! I wish I remembered my servers name my little sister was struggling with the chopsticks and he tweaked them with a rubber band and paper towels for her to be able to work them! Will definitely be coming back to try some of the entrees!

This restaurant is a welcome addition to the Massapequa Chinese food scene. I don’t believe it’s sustainable in this location but I will enjoy it while still here. Sushi here is excellent. Food in general is very good. Couple of things need attention. Clean your shrimp including the little ones. Soup dumplings shouldn’t stick to the steamer. What’s the point of a soup dumpling if it falls on the dish. Some of the dim sum is kinda bland. The rest of the food I’ve had so far has been good.

I am Asian and live in Massapequa all year round. I really want to find a delicious Asian restaurant, so I took my son to Google Photos. It seems that this is a very dark, mysterious and high-end restaurant. As a result, it is even more "amazing" when we arrived. The front door looks like a Chinese temple, but the interior is like a nightclub. Every menu is very dirty and the floor is full of oil stains. Well, we are here to eat. As long as the food tastes good and the ingredients are fresh, everything is tolerable. But in the end, we collapsed. As shown in the picture, every dish looks good in the picture, but the taste is very weird. I have eaten Chinese food for 40 years. It's really unpalatable. I almost vomited. In the end, I almost didn't eat anything and left. Usually, if a lot of leftovers are sent back to the kitchen, the manager or store manager will come out to ask about the situation, right? Of course, "I should get used to steaming white rice with butter." Fortunately, I didn't give the child something raw to eat, otherwise I would probably go to the hospital... (I must mention that the waiter's service attitude was very good during the period!) In the end, we still went to another store to eat delicious pizza 🍕 ;A painful lesson...😮💨

**A Night at Cinnnabar: Not Your Average Dining Experience**
If you're ever in the mood for a dining adventure where expectations are flipped like a well-done pancake, look no further than Cinnnabar. Our experience started with a tantalizing 15-minute tease as we waited eagerly for our reservation, only to be led to our very own bird cage—stylish, yes, but wobbly and sticky like a toddler’s high chair after spaghetti night.
Our waitress was a true sommelier of unforgettable descriptions, persuading my wife that her cocktail aspiration should taste “like a BBQ in her mouth” due to its smokiness. A bold choice in beverage flavor, indeed. This fiery start was promptly forgotten, though, as our waitress seemed to hit a mysterious reset button, asking us our drink order as if we were caught in a bizarre culinary Groundhog Day.
Pushing forward, we ventured into the realm of food. In an unexpected twist of brutal honesty, our waitress advised against our top dinner picks, with the confidence of someone who truly believed in culinary disappointment. We decided to brave the appetizers despite her cautionary tales, only to be blindsided by the arrival of our entrees a mere 7 minutes later. It seems at Cinnnabar, time bends and dishes teleport.
Asking about our still-missing drinks and appetizers, we were met with an offer to "take this back for you" from another server who clearly believed in the magic of reverse service. At this juncture, my wife and I decided that the highlight of our evening would be recounting this tale at our actual favorite dining spot, Salumi, where we promptly retreated.
Cinnnabar is perfect for those who enjoy a touch of irony with their meals and prefer their dining experiences to be as unpredictable as a plot twist in a telenovela. If nothing else, it serves as a reminder that sometimes, the best part of going out is coming back to the familiar.

I had a disappointing experience at Cinnabar due to the manager's rudeness. Despite a reservation, our group faced hostility when some members were late. The manager refused to seat us and let us order appetizers while waiting. This lack of flexibility soured the experience. Even after the full group arrived, we faced further delays. The food didn't match its price. Our entrees all came out separately and 2 of the entrees came out 25 minutes after everyone else. I won't return and hope the owner addresses these issues with the manager for better hospitality.
Visited a year ago
I regret to say that my recent dining experience at Cinnabar was utterly disappointing. From the moment I walked in, the staff exhibited a level of rudeness that was downright unacceptable. Their lack of hospitality set the tone for the rest of the evening.
To add insult to injury, the food was excessively salty, leaving a bitter taste in my mouth both figuratively and literally. It's evident that their kitchen lacks attention to detail and care in their culinary creations.
Moreover, the time management at this establishment was abysmal. Each customer received their food at different intervals, with some unfortunate souls waiting a staggering 20 minutes longer than others. This inconsistency in service is inexcusable and resulted in a thoroughly unpleasant dining experience.
Overall, I would strongly advise against patronizing Cinnabar unless you enjoy being treated rudely, eating overly salty food, and enduring frustratingly poor time management.
Visited a year ago
I recently had a disappointing experience at Cinnbar due to the rude behavior of the manager. Despite having a reservation, our party was met with hostility when two members were running late due to an emergency. Although the majority of our group had arrived promptly, the manager refused to seat us or even allow us to order appetizers while we waited for the others to arrive. This lack of understanding and flexibility tarnished what could have been an enjoyable dining experience. Once the full group was there we were told we would be able to sit in 5 minutes and then it took another 20 minutes. Food was not worth the price as per previous reviews. Will not be coming back here, and I hope the owner of the business speaks to the manager about being more flexible, especially when you have someone else running a restaurant that’s in the business of being hospitable, great customer service and quality food.

Dark and moody, but in a good way. Our table had a mini led lamp that provided plenty of light. The food was excellent. Very unique menu with interesting takes on traditional Chinese cuisine.

Phenomenal food bursting with flavor. Excellent ambience with fun cocktails. The service was fantastic as well. The black truffle soup dumplings and Mr & Mrs Smith apps were to die for. The roast duck entree was succulent and perfectly cooked. A half order was plenty for 2 people. I loved the Dan Dan noodles as they were spicy while still having tons of flavor. That's a delicate balance that was executed perfectly. This is a 10/10, repeat visit, add it to the rotation type of place.

Came for my birthday dinner with my boyfriend for a 9:15 reservation. Once we entered we were told that the kitchen was closing soon which was confusing to say to a reservation? We felt rushed out from the moment we entered. After receiving a sticky booth and our menus, our server Jip quickly came and asked for our drinks and food. When we told her we needed a moment she informed us again that we need to hurry up because the kitchen was closing. A server didn’t come to our table for a while and once again told us we need to order everything now and at once and everything would come out as made.
The drinks took a while, and the food did indeed come out completely out of wack with my shrimp entree sitting at my table 10 minutes before some of appetizers and our order of fried rice to order with our entrees.
The food was great but 3 bites in the music was cut off and the smell of cleaning products started. We were never checked on after our food was brought out.
Half way through our meal Jip left.
Never got our second round of drinks, and never got my 2 birthday desserts that we made SURE to tell Jip about at the same time as our regular food.
Really disappointing experience. I expected better than this from such an establishment especially at the price point and reputation. Wish I spent my birthday somewhere else the way we were treated.

My boyfriend and I picked Cinnabar to have lunch last Saturday which was on 3/9/24. I was impressed by what I saw on Insta, so I suggested we go there . We had two lychee martinis, spring rolls, a sashimi dish and the tomahawk short ribs . The atmosphere was great . It has a grown sexy vibe to it . Perfect for a date . The martinis were cold and delicious . We were sipping on our martinis when the spring rolls were served to us. These were crunchy but very oily to where they were shining back at us . I didn’t mind them but my boyfriend , who eats more Asian food than I do, noticed the oil. Onto the sashimi plate. The 3 pieces I had were ok. In Cinnabars defense I’m not the biggest Sashimi but my boyfriend is , and seemed to like this dish. Onto the tomahawk short ribs - this is what I was waiting for!!! They come out and they’re very nicely platted . I had one piece and when I say it was dry - to the point where I think it was cooked the day before . I May not know about sashimi but I do know steak. Figured let me try another piece . Now I see this cartlidge in the middle of most of the pieces which turned me off. It was hard and chewy. Very very disappointed and neither me or my boyfriend are the type to send anything back . We both didn’t enjoy the tomahawk short ribs and talked about it afterwards. I didn’t want to sound like a complainer so I didn’t say anything . I came here to describe my experience and hope Cinnabar doesn’t serve another customer old , dry meat with cartlidge on it . Was that really a tomahawk steak?? Honestly I’ve had sirloin that was way better - tender and juicier . We won’t be coming back .

Cinnabar is truly THE place to be. Located in Massapequa, Cinnabar encompasses the incredible dining culture of Asia. This restaurant is offering an eclectic selection of Chinese Cuisine as well as an extensive cocktail bar and sushi bar. The interior decor is absolutely stunning and the staff is so friendly and welcoming. Cinnabar is providing the most captivating, elevated dining experience that will make your night even more memorable. I’m so obsessed with this spot and I know that everyone who tries it will be too!

Eek! Not for us! Yuck! $140 WASTED. As avid customers at Ginza when it was open, and Tai Show Massapequa- Cinnabar did not live up to expectations. The food was so fishy and actually tasted gross for us, sorry to say. The worst items were the spider roll, the wood roll, and the veg. Dumplings. The only things we could actually eat and enjoy were the basics, California rolls and spicy tuna rolls but they were bland. Also - no chopsticks and soy sauce came in packets like it was from the mall. Never again for us unfortunately.

Been here at least 20 times since they opened, and we are bringing people there weekly to enjoy the experience!
I think we hold the record for the most reservations, my 15 month old daughter loves the shrimp balls and scallops.... yes you heard that correctly, 15 months...
We love the tomahawk, dan dan noodles and dumplings. Recently had the chicken fried rice and it was on point!
We will continue to go regularly - we love it.
To us it's a taste of NYC right here in out backyard, no need to fight the city traffic for buddakhan, Tao or Mr Chow. Sure its not the same, but I believe its right on the same level!
I do wish they had more dessert choices, maybe some Lychee ices and some mochi is in the future, hint hint!

The aesthetic of the place is very nice whoever designed it gets a 10/10.
We ordered two glasses of wine, two soups, dim sum, the mains were mala chicken and the tomahawk steak with Jasmine rice.
Not sure if it was an off night or something going on in the air, but…
We ordered the two soups only got one had to ask for the other… The soup was very good though ….
We ordered dim sum they gave us some lollipop shrimp thing that we didn’t order, so we asked for what we did order (they did let us keep it though, which was nice to try something we wouldn’t have ordered).
Then they served us our entrées (before giving us the dim sum that we originally ordered) and they forgot to give us one of the sides of rice so we had to ask for that…
The tomahawk steak was overcooked and tough, but a good portion…
The chicken was odd because there’s no sauce that goes with it. Not sure if that’s just how that dish is, but it was basically battered chicken as if you were gonna put sauce on it, but it was just dry chili peppers and dry chicken with no flavor in the batter definitely wouldn’t order that again….
Halfway through our entree they finally brought the dim sum that we originally ordered, but as it was coming to the table this tall lamp that is on the table (which is a small table because it’s only for two people) fell over and hit the wine glass…
The wine glass shattered on the table and then I felt uncomfortable eating my food because I felt like glass got in it. When glass shatters, it really goes everywhere. so I took it home to see if I could see any glass but I didn’t want to take chances so I threw it out.
The staff was very polite and nice and offered a new glass of wine, and when the bill came around, I noticed they didn’t charge us for the appetizer or the bowl of rice they forgot to give us, so that was a nice thing to do given the experience.
I think they should revamp the entrées a little bit. We were really excited, but we’re a little disappointed with how the service went, but maybe it was an off night.. not sure if I would try it again.

I REALLY wanted to like it here. It was raining outside and inside. Over 5 buckets scattered throughout the place to catch the leaks. There were 2 items on the menu that sold us on choosing this restaurant but to our disappointment, were unavailable. Maybe 6ish tables were occupied and Service was still slow. I was experiencing an unsettling smell of expired fish tank and bleach the entire time at the end of my meal the place smelled like fire. The Food was mediocre and salty. The soup dumplings were gelatinous. I had high hopes for this place given their instagram. But with that being said, you can NOT judge a book by its cover.

Our noodle dish was bland and the only flavor on the fish was soy sauce. The lamb chops were very fatty and disappointing.
Never had Chinese food without rice as part of the package…. plus the portions are very small and not family size as they suggested.
Great atmosphere and decor! Love the Teapot wall behind bar.
I was hoping for a ’to go place’ sadly this is not it.

We had an incredible experience at Cinnabar thanks to the exceptional service provided by Xander, the bar tender. His warm hospitality and extensive knowledge of mixology made our evening enjoyable. The Asian Fusion cuisine at Cinnabar is a delightful culinary journey, blending flavors seamlessly. The vibrant atmosphere and Xander's friendly demeanor created a memorable dining experience. I highly recommend Cinnabar for anyone seeking a perfect combination of great food and welcoming service.

This place has a lovely atmosphere and nice relaxing music. The food was excellent. We enjoyed the dragon roll, the cumin lamb chops (spicy), the bok choy, and the sea scallops. The desert is now one of my favorite desserts. Food was fresh, hot, and received quickly. We had a little delay in getting a server and putting our order in, but they identified the problem, and fixed it right away with complementary items. I appreciate my server Joseph. He was wonderful. I will be back for sure!

Everything is phenomenal but there's nothing for dessert...there's amazing appetizers and drinks and entrees but it falls apart when it comes to dessert.

Service was not available, our waitress was not attentive or responsive to our table. We have party of 13, it took her a long time to come over to take our orders, or to refill our water glass . Yet 20% gravity automatically added to the bill.

Was dying to go here since it reopened, and I was a long-time Ginza customer. I was very disappointed in general. From the undeveined shrimp to the uncleaned bathrooms. Bathrooms should always be clean. For a newly refurbished, recently opened restaurant, there is no reason for this.

Upon our arrival we were greeted by a courteous host, seated in the main dining room with soft lighting, exquisite décor, and a soaring ceiling. It was a perfect ambiance for a dining experience.
Service was professional and friendly, drinks arrived at an appropriate time. Cocktails were served in fine glassware, well executed with attention to detail.
The menu is a combination of Japanese and Chinese dishes. Classic sushi, sashimi, and modern sushi rolls. The Chinese dish on the menu is a combination of Northern and Southern cuisine nicely balanced from spicy to light and savory. Perfect combination of color, aroma and taste and appearance.
A menu for any occasion and there is something for everyone. A must, try their appetizers, it is a perfect size for a cocktail.

As a long-time patron of Ginza from years past at the same address, I was delighted to return to the same amazing atmosphere. The food was exceptional, and the staff(bartenders) was both friendly and knowledgeable. It's impressive that almost all items were available, considering it was only their fourth day of operation. I'm looking forward to making this bar a weekly visit. Update: The restaurant keeps adding new items to the menu(hot saki) and the manager Bo is always coming up new ideas. Love this place

Upscale chinese restaurant finally opened on long island and im all here for it!! Went with a group of friends and basically ordered one of every dish. Wasnt able to take a picture of all the food, especially after i realized how good everything was, but my absolute FAVORITES of the night were definitely the short ribs, steamed lobster sticky rice (even though im not a huge fan of lobster), fried capelin, lychee shrimp lollipops, and the peking duck!! The drinks were also something you would expect from a nice date night spot in the city. Will be back again very soon!

Nice add to the area. This spot feels like a Manhattan hot spot with the look, music and atmosphere they give off.
Much more packed out then I expected as it is newly opened. Seemed to have a lot of good looking people from outside areas. I asked the waitress about this and she said a lot of social influencers were invited and come regularly now. Smart idea and the busy room was proof.
The food: We ordered a mix off the menu to try different things. Most were solid choices like the beef and broccoli, spring rolls, wontons, and soup. I was a little surprised that the menu had more traditional Asian basics then you might expect from a modern trendy vibe that they are giving off.
One thing that was noticeable a bad choice for them as a display for food was their sushi rolls presentation. They serve the rolls on this 4”x4”x8” white rectangle block. So these rolls are already stacked on a 4” step. When you are grabbing rolls on this 4” block, there is no give or catch, so anything that moves can fall on the dirty table. Chopsticks tend to bump into other rolls as you are grabbing your food and it’s silly for a roll to accidentally fall on the table since they are on the edge. We fixed this by putting it over a plate from another dish that we ordered. BTW, sure enough, one roll piece did fall on the dish as we ate it. Just a tip in case you don’t want to lose a piece yourself lol.
The fried rice was decent but was brown and moist and sticky, which was almost more a Mexican rice and not a true fried rice.
Little things like not getting us water for awhile, not giving utensils for children and seeming to be mixed up when they brought food out to table shows they are still a little green with their system.
All in all we liked Cinnabar (weird name for an Asian fusion) and would try them once again.
I would recommend high l

From the moment I stepped into Cinnabar, I knew I was in for a remarkable dining experience. The decor is nothing short of spectacular, effortlessly merging elegance with innovative design touches that perfectly complement the Asian fusion theme. The menu is a culinary adventure, presenting familiar flavors in unexpected and delightful ways. But what truly sets Cinnabar apart is the warmth and professionalism of the staff. Their attentive service made the evening unforgettable. It’s evident that Long Island has gained a true gem with Cinnabar. A must-visit for anyone seeking a high-end dining experience!

Cinnabar is a paradise on the Island Massapequa. As you enter the parking lot, you can see a traditional exterior with contemporary styling. Inside this paradise is jaw dropping traditional and modern Chinese designs. Super friendly Amanda served us and gave us a thorough overview of the menu. Cocktails are not just beautiful but also not watered down. Start off with your favorite appetizers then move on to entrees. Portions are generous and beautifully organized on each dish. Really happy to see nice Chinese restaurants like this open up on the Island without going to the city.
