All you can eat sushi for $33 or all you can eat sashimi for $40 (or $39). Add tax tip on top maybe $10 pp. We had the sushi option. The rice portion was massive. And the rice taste like shyt sorry. Server also came by to warn us that we must finish all rice before we even starter which ruined our mood. Was pretty upsetting.
Anyhow we only had one platter of sushi cus too much rice. The plate was oily so i dont think they clean after each use.
The restaurant seems clean minus the oily surfaces on table. Waiters were nice but minus one guy that just had a idgaf face/attitude entire time.
Taste of food was ok. Just something to eat like a typical ayce. They really need to reduce rice portion in sushi about 50% or more. And make better tasting rice. Also rice didnt stick on sushi just falls apart. Their specialty hand roll was not bad. Also large portion size. Theres an appetizer small grill fish that was good. Dont think im coming back.

This is the worst sushi restaurant I’ve been to… went there for the first time today and the food tasted horrible. The sushi was bad quality and the rolls were made poorly--looks like they just slap everything on it. The rice was not sushi rice, it just tasted like regular white rice. The ratio of nigiri was so off, very thin slices of fish and a lot of rice. I couldn’t even finish my first round not because I was full but because I can not physically eat it because how bad it tasted. The price is so high for how low the quality of food you get…there’s way better AYCE sushi restaurants in the area with the same price. Also they white-out the 15% tips recommendation on the bills so I feel obligated to tip $18% minimum. Very disappointing experience.

Make sure to thoroughly read if your ordering sushi or sashimi and if you have to write it down on the ordering paper because I thought what I was requesting for was sashimi and they gave me sushi with the rice and I couldn't finish it so I had to pay 7 extra bucks. I ordered a non alcaholic mojito it was DELICIOUS 😋 perfect refreshing drink after eating sushi 🍣. Sushi and the food was delicious! 5 stars
Update 4 months later: came back, they demanded for tips... TIPS are optional. Other wise it will be service fee. And told me to tip her at least 15 bucks. Down to 3 stars. Waiters don't do anything but look around.

Second time to this place and it doesn’t disappoint, food is fresh, all the rolls are delicious, I went in and order more than what I can eat 😂 but ate them all! Ordered noodles and beef as well and you can tell the food is made with love in here. The restaurant it self has no TVs but it’s good so you can chat with your friends and love ones. The service staff is friendly and attentive.
Don’t think twice about coming here. The place has insanely good food. Good service staff, it’s clean, and the menu options are great!

Literally my favorite sushi spot. With this place you can order anything and it’s all so amazing. Everything tastes fresh and well made. The staff is nice and fast serving. Also this place has amazing combos that you can choose from. The sashimi is my favorite, all the fish is cut the same size. Also it is super fresh. Also this place accommodates you if you have any allergies. I’ve been ordering and going to them for years , and they are since so great since the first day I decided to try them out. I highly recommend this place to everyone who loves sushi !! This place aims to please.

I used to love this place pre Covid but I have to say, it has gone seriously downhill since then. Me and my friend ate here today and the sushi was terrible. They put little to no fish inside the roll and the rolls just did not taste good (especially the shrimp tempura one with banana inside). It’s expensive for what you get and totally not worth it. The appetizers were just okay but the drinks were pretty good.

i like the ayce a lot. there is quite a good variety of appetizers. but the rice on the nigiri sushi is a little too much. the special rolls and hand rolls are a little better. and i really wish they would add some dessert to really top everything off. those are a few improvements that would help me move it to 5 stars.

04/21/24 12:05 pm my old acct under jazzy. 3rd time visitor this time with my son: It was just me and my 3 y.o. son for all you can eat sashimi. I hate to post negative reviews abt service but i needed to. The waiter judged my son based on how old he looked to the guy and how tall. He ask me if he was 5 then Asked My son about kindergarten. I saud no hes in pre-k. Kindergarden is 5 y.o. My son doesn't eat alot he barely are his one tiny plate of 4 peices of diffrent food. For a hour straight still one bite untouched. My son is darker than I and his dad is tall. Judgement isn't good when it comes to determining child and age prices. My son can look older and he's actually younger based on genetics. What if my son was 2 and they say he looks 4. Or 3 and charge me kid price when 2 and under should be free? Not fair at all... miso soup was too sweet and watery. I had better miso soup day before at a place in astoria. Everything else wasnt too bad. The service affected how I feel abt this place. Will not come here anymore or reccomend if you have kids. They go based off what they think your child looks like. The food is going downhill in a matter of a year. The last time second time i cake with 2 other people the rude Asian lady pressured us for tip I already put tip. She wanted 20 bucks. Tips are optional. Next time if I feel like going or or check up on it I'm gonna tell her off if she say something to me about tip. I'll tip you more if you do more not just serve and go with a rude face.

My wife and I decided to try out this sushi buffet today, and unfortunately, it was quite a letdown. While the appetizers were decent and the staff was friendly, the sushi and sashimi left much to be desired. The sashimi had a strong fishy odor and a strange, almost slimy texture, indicating it wasn't fresh. Additionally, the red surf clam sashimi felt rubbery, almost like chewing on a piece of rubber. The sushi itself was no better, with dry, hard rice and an overly salty taste. We ended up leaving some uneaten food because it simply wasn't enjoyable. When the female owner asked why we didn't finish, I hesitated at first, but then decided to be honest and told her that the food wasn't fresh and was unpleasant to eat. Overall, a disappointing experience.

The food really just wasn’t that good. They put fried banana with a shrimp tempura roll. The nigiri was not good and the ikura was fishy. The spicy salmon nigiri did not seem fresh I didn’t feel comfortable eating it. The sashimi appetizers were actually good but you can only order it ONCE. We misunderstood and thought it was per order on the paper but you can only order it once per person the whole time you are there.

Stumbled upon this place because we were craving all you can eat sushi.
They have a decent size menu, no details or photos to explain some of the items.
During our meal we left a bit of rice on the plate and the server yelled at us for leaving approx 10 grains of rice in our plate. Her demeanor and mannerism wasn’t professional and we found this experience quite disgusting hence the 3 star rating.
Be mindful when visiting this establishment

mediocre taste, too much rice in the sushi and roll to make you feel full easily. Doesn't taste good compare to other all you can eat nearby. The waiter, he overage guy keeps starring at me from the beginning and giving me the confrontation look from the beginning for some rice left over. The fish is not fresh and there are very few customers there in the meal time. The ramen doesn't contain any vegetables nor meat only noddles, the ramen soup taste like the instant noodles that you can get from supermarket. This teaches me a lesson never goes to any restaurant that has few customers there got to be some reasons for that.I like to make this analogy to if a water in the pool is stagnant then it smells bad

I’ve been ordering pick up and delivery here for at least 1 year now, it’s my favorite takeout. I always get avocado roll, sweet potato roll, age tofu, and sometimes tatsuta age. the mozzarella sticks, edamame, and shrimp tempura are good sides too. my experiences here are consistently perfect. fast service. delicious food with quality ingredients. reasonable prices and portions. i’ve tried others in the area but no one makes my order as well as Rakuzen. 10/10, every time.

Honestly great sushi place, for the all you can eat it’s really nice and filling. People complaining about the extra food service charge are too self-entitled, this isnt a typical buffet. Of course they’ll limit your portions to ensure neither you or them comes at a loss in the end of the day. Sushi tasted nice and fresh, udon was nice and flavorful, dumplings were fine too. No complaints over service either.

My visit to Rakuzen was a mixed bag. The highlights were the pork gyoza, teriyaki shrimp, beef, and scallops, which were well-prepared and tasty.
The service was fast, a plus given the few diners during lunchtime. However, the food was generally too oily for my liking. The "pork chop" I ordered was unexpectedly fried, not mentioned in the menu. The "rock shrimps" were more batter than shrimp, quite disappointing, i almost struggled finding the shrimp in the batter. The shrimp tempura roll was too rice-heavy, leaving little room for the shrimp itself. I only ate the insides, concerned about being charged for leftover rice, but fortunately, that didn't happen.
I would have also been nicer if they offered a lunch price instead of all day price of $32.99.

This place is horrible, I will NEVER NEVER eat here again! The “all you can eat” deal is a trap. Do not have any leftover because the owner will charge you heavily for the leftover. We got charged $20 for few pieces leftover. The food is not fresh. I would give them zero star if there is this option.

This is the best sushi place of NYC. I have tried many places in many cities. Rakuzen hands down has the best fried food menu and sushi menu around. At All the other sushi places the food has an odd taste. Even the fried foods at those places is subpar. They all did have nice staff though and good service i must say. Now as for Rakuzen's sushi it really is super fresh and tasty. Each item is distinct. The tuna takai is great. The sexy spicy tuna roll is amazing. The spicy crunch tuna is also a favorite. If you go try their rock shrimp and fried tuna dumplings. As for their service it is good overall. They are so busy so on those super busy days your food takes a bit longer. If you go when its not busy its like they cater only to you. I love thay place and so do many others i see when i am there. The staff is very kind even if sometimes they rush. They can't help it. The place is popular. STILL AMAZING 5 years later. The prices have gone up but you get a lot of food.

Food is generally good with few exceptions: the fried foods we tried had too much batter and very small meat inside (takoyaki, fried shrimp). Tomyum soup tastes different from typical tomyum soup (pass). Crab in crab rangoon is nonexistent (maybe crab is too expensive). Service was great. Ambience needs improvement although you can see the effort they put in the decor. Price is on the expensive side considering its lunch. We paid $39/person for AYCE sushi/sashimi weekend lunch.

Yesterday afternoon, I visited this restaurant with the expectation of enjoying a satisfying meal. However, my experience left much to be desired. The kalbi beef, in particular, was quite disappointing as it had an unpleasant texture, resembling something closer to sticks. I would have preferred boneless kalbi for a more enjoyable dining experience.
Additionally, I ordered the aged tofu, which I expected to have a crunchy texture, but it turned out to be soft and mushy. As for the sushi, I found it to be lacking in flavor, and the excessive amount of rice made it challenging for me to savor. In fact, I couldn't finish half of the plate, which consisted of both classic and special rolls (a total of 40 pieces). Unfortunately, my discomfort led me to excuse myself and visit the restroom where I became ill.
Upon returning, I reluctantly finished my meal, including the Tempura roll. It's worth noting that the restaurant enforces a strict 90-minute seating limit and charges extra for leftover rice, which I found to be rather unusual and inconvenient. All in all, I must admit that there was nothing particularly remarkable about this dining establishment. In my opinion, the prices were unjustifiably high given the quality of the food. I regret to say that I will not be returning in the future.

As you can see in the picture the shrimp tempura roll doesn’t even look like a roll, French fries were soggy, it literally looked like it was dipped in an oil & packed, kani salad was horrible. Right after half an hour eating these food I vomited & had diarrhea. People please be careful before you order or eat in in this restaurant.

Wouldn’t let me leave unless I tipped more than I gave already. I didn’t had enough money in my account and previously only gave what I had only. I didn’t had any outstanding service to begin with. Pretty much the bare minimum, not even a hi or introduced themselves. The nicest thing they did was refill our water without us asking, no even asking if we were good. I gave what I could have because I like tipping in general. But I am not your boss. I can’t pay all your minimum wages. Get a new job or something?
The lady ended up pressuring my friend instead to tip when we’re both on a budget.
The sushi was fine but don’t get the no rice roll unless you like ham and cheese.

Food was great. Fresh and delicious as always. I enjoyed the beef kalbi, crab Rangoon, rock shrimp, and spicy kani salad a lot. They have a plethora of Japanese small bites that you can choose from such as miso eggplant, takoyaki, rock shrimp.
They can also make different types of Asian fried rice from Indonesia, udons, ramens, and different soups.
If you are getting buffet, please try the speciality rolls. They also had some without raw fish for those who don't enjoy raw fish such as the Little Hen Roll.
What I didn't enjoy as much was that I was asked to finish my remaining food after I was stuffed. I am not one to waste food but I also value my comfort zone for not over eating. We weren't charged for any waste but still wish that we could have just got the bill when we asked for it.

Be aware! This highly-priced buffetof $33.90 is not an eat as you can. They limit you for how much you can order, AND if you don't finish everything in your plate, they are charging you extra.
When you are sitted down, you get a paper menu to mark what you want to order. We were 3 adults, started with 8 rolls and few sushi nigiri. The waitress starts calculating for us that this is too much for us and asked if we will eat all that. It took us more than 10 minutes, and begging, to convince her that we want the sushi and rolls we marked down. When we wanted to order a 2nd round, all the waitresses ignored us, literally came to the table, looked at what sushi we marked, and refused to place the order. After a long wait and convincing again, we got 1 plate for 2nd round.
It felt ridiculous, I had to keep asking if this was a buffet or not. When we asked for the bill, the Drama got worse. The manager came to the table to shout on us for having few pieces of sushi left and told us she have to charge us extra for that, which she did.
We are going to many buffet, especially Asian. We know that they limit you in time. We care about not wasting food, but THIS IS NOT A BUFFET. What we've got to order was costing us $60-70 at max in any other place, and we paid double and left hungry, not to talk on not impress with the sushi. We did a mistake not reading the reviews before going, and I'm sure there are no repeated customers to this place.

Beware, this is a scam...
Had a dinner with a friend tried the all you can eat for $31.
We ordered, one of the pieces had hair on it...., We're both laid back and non confrontational people so we let it slide.
Overall, you can feel that the fish is far from being fresh... hence we really didn't like it and didn't finish the order.
Here's where they scam you, one of the waitresses told us we can't take a doggie bag of the left overs ( as if we wanted to - disgusting sushi), I replied that we don't want any doggie bag, but the scam is that you basically have to pay for whatever nasty sushi that you refuse to eat as if you were to order it outside of the all you can eat deal.
Stay away from scammers.

Really good environment in the restaurant, we were immediately seated and given the papers to choose what we wanted to order, the servers were extremely nice and well mannered, I suggest you order as much as you can in one go because it does take a while for the food to arrive, we ordered more than we can eat and didn't expect the pieces to be huge, the shrimp tempura was great , and we had the fried fish cutlet as well it was delicious and not oily. Overall this was a great experience but i think i've had enough sushi for the year😅.

Okay, if you are looking for some high end sushi place, probably this is not for you. But this is a very affordable, and relatively delicious all you can eat sushi place. They do have conventional list of Sushi and rolls, and many Japanses and 'not-so' Japanese hot dish, also included in the menu. I have been here 4 times and the portion of the susbi varies, so you should order small then add more dishes afterwards. (This is all you can eat, so they don't complain as long as you finish your meal in 90 min without leaving food on the table.) Yes, food is average (some of rolls are acutally pretty good) but you can't find the 'budget' sushi with $30 recently. So probably it will be my go to place when I am extremely hungry and craving for sushi.

It was a quiet place. We did not quite understand the situation but the hostess explained. We took the challenge and ordered way too much. The food was all amazing, we weren't expecting a buffet to also maintain the quality Rakuzen did. Would definitely go again.

I was starving for a meal and then it hit me why not sushi? So I googled up this place I have passed by many of time but never dropped in. So today was my lucky day and theirs As well as theirs. I was greeted by an attractive semi plus size Asian woman very pleasant. She sat me after I informed her this was my first time here. she explained to me the menu and what it entails. A lot of people seem to get the idea that an all you can eat means that if you leave food on the plate it will just be tossed with no charge but not when dealing with sushi spots. What I don't understand is why people grab up so much food when there's a 2-hour window and you can order right after you finish your first or 3 or 6 maybe even 9th plate. This way the food always remains fresh when you receive it. But people will be people correct? So as you see from the picture I had two Philly rolls some other type of sushi roll. I don't remember what it was but I got to admit it was damn good. I must admit the wasabi was weak very weak It did not have that losing my breath sensation that I usually get I don't know if the ginger was fresh because it was a lot dry I'm used to my ginger being a little bit more wet and pungent. The place was clean Even the floor. The table that I sat at was not sticky or no soy sauce on the table as I've had experience at another spot. The waitresses were pleasant although they did not speak very much just the common English to get by at least the one that I encountered. LET ME WARN YOU ALL THE PARKING AROUND HERE IS HORRIBLE. HORRIBLE. HORRIBLE. SO IF YOU CHOOSE TO DRIVE MAKE SURE YOU LOOK FOR A PARKING LOT OR READ THE SIGNS CAREFULLY. THERE IS A PARKING GARAGE BUT I MUST ADMIT IT IS EXPENSIVE. However I wasn't there to make friends I was there to eat lol. I ordered the rainbow something of another as you see in the picture which was absolutely phenomenal. I will be back in this time I'm not bringing my starving stomach I am bringing my empty stomach. I noticed on the outside the rating was an A however I hope they aim for an A+. I know there's not such a cold however it never hurts to improve upon anything. The one thing I can say is I did not like how they kept the bathroom This is the reason why I'm rating a four star and not five. The rating is based upon everything not just the food but customer service as well as presentation, decor, and all things in between. The bathroom had a very nauseating odor the floor was scattered with paper towels and the stall to the left was not kept clean. I had to rush through while holding my nose especially after just eating such a great meal. Perhaps on the regular the bathrooms I kept clean is just so happen that I came in during the time in which it wasn't. I don't know but I will return. And I hope to update this to a five-star. Has Arnold would say "I'll be back."

This is an All You Can Eat sushi place. My only complain is about the rice, but I understand it is probably because it is made in a rush. I wish they had deep fried rolls. You pay less than $30.00 to eat as many Japanese food as you can handle. I left that place not wanting to see sushi never again in my life 😂, but I will definitely go back. Cool experience.

Sad to say but I got sick from their food twice, I guess a $35 all you can eat sashimi/sushi buffet is too good to be true. Could just be my stomach though, I recommend trying it out once at least.

the worst experience I had the soy sauce is not concentrated the sushi was delayed the attention of the waitress was terrible, they overcharged me I would never recommend this place they should not sell

Update:
Since the pandemic, they have increased the prices to a ridiculous amount to $30 & if you want sashimi it's limited & plus your drinks are no longer included; it's extra so you're looking at about $35-40 w/tip per person. Not worth it if you can't eat about 4-5 orders. FYI come famished!

Expensive and the food wasn't that great to be honest. Fountain soda is extremely sweet, they need to learn how to mix it correctly.

Great spot to get local sushi in the Elmhurst, Rego Park, Forest Hills area. Quick service and good menu options. I frequent this place for take out. There is metered parking close by and a parking lot at the Target across the street for a fee.

This place it’s on point!

This place was a gem when I first found them about 3 years ago, now every time I go the prices is always higher, the waiters watch you eat & some are just obviously rude, they tell you , you can’t order that much & make you feel uncomfortable.
The food is delicious the restaurant is clean & has great decor , my preference they have the best chicken teriyaki & kimchi. I would come here often , making the long trip from the Bronx just to eat here, but sadly this will be my last. The price is getting way to expensive for the lack of comfortability they provide.

I'm a doordash customer! Their takeout is DELICIOUS. Their sushi is fresh. Their portions are generous. Their dinner boxes are AMAZING. Highly recommend their Chicken Katsu box. Not cheap quality fried chicken like most places use. 10/10 GREAT FOOD!

Poor customer service, makes you pay for uneaten food off of all you can eat. Sushi looks like they give you leftovers from other people. Spicy mushrooms was good but didn’t eat sushi because it seemed very suspicious. Not fresh at all.

Came with a group of friends. Was 30.99 for each person for all-you-can-eat sushi and appetizers. Each piece of fish is strapped onto some rice and regular drinks are included. Anything you cant finish, you pay extra for. I enjoyed alot of appetizers and different types of fish. Overall i enjoyed eating here.

慣用手法一開始沒說明用餐規則。吃到一半說壽司飯要全部吃光不然菜單要換較貴的菜單。然後菜單拿來還說你們還有要點嗎?真的有夠不要臉的。店家不要臉天下無敵。

Currently its around 31$ ayce per person. I come here frequently since the day they opened. Back then i would have given 5 stars but over the years the quality has diminished. They started adding a lot of rice in the sushi. The last time I went here I became naseous mid meal and was not able to finish my food so i bit the bullet and paid the extra fee. On my way home i had a pounding headache and an upset stomach so i made a mad dash to the nearest bathroom. Once business was taken care of, all my symptoms went away. That was my one bad experience out of many good experiences so i'll still return since most of the food here is delicious

I CAME HERE ON 8/13/22 EXPECTING TO HAVE A GOOD TIME WITH SOME FRIENDS. I HAD PLACED AN ORDER FOR DIFFERENT TYPES OF NIGIRI AND I SEE THE RICE TO FISH RATIO WAS COMPLETELY OFF. THERE'S NO WAY A PIECE NIGIRI HAS RICE THE SIZE OF YOUR PALM TO A MEASLEY TRANSPARENT THIN PIECE OF FISH. WHEN WE COULDN'T FINISH WE WERE TOLD BY THE WAITRESS THAT IT WILL BE $1 PER PIECE OF RICE THAT WASN'T CONSUMED. BEING THAT WE EXPLAINED EVERYTHING TO THE MANAGER SHE "MANAGED" TO CHARGE US ONLY $5 FOR THE BOWLS OF RICE THAT WE LEFT OVER. (5 PIECE OF SALMON NIGIRI = 1 MEDIUM BOWL OF RICE)

The quality of the food is okay, at best. The service is trash and the staff don't seem very friendly. Be wary of ordering any dish that has rice because they will purposely add extra rice to fill you up sooner and get you out if you order AYCE. It seems like they're purposefully adding extra quantity of items that costs them less to make to get you full sooner. 5 pieces of mackarels make up a whole bowl of rice on it's own. What's hilarious is they charged us extra for not finishing the extra rice they gave us. I see through the bs and will not be coming back again.

I am at rakuzen right now. We eating sushi, the waiters was telling us to much to order for us 3 ppl. And yes as the comments that I saw, they are put alots rice for a sushi and that’s make the taste horrible. I rather eat sushi regular without all you can eat since I eat in this place. To all people who want to try in this place remember to order 1-2 first before their warning you order to much and gonna charge you when you can finish your order

I had to give this restaurant 3 stars as I hate to do this as the food is delish n lite but very very pricey, we went for lunch buffet on a weekend, prices vary on what part of the day n week you go,, so keep that in mind. We ordered from all you can eat in 90 minutes portions come real small, so the catch is that whatever you don't eat in 90 minutes you pay full price for that dish, so go hungry.

All you can eat is an absolute scam stay away! You're basically just buying a ton of shitty rice. Sushi here is like double the size of regular and they charge you a ton even for leftover rice. Rice has way too much vinegar so its all you can taste with some pieces and nigri just falls apart because of how comically large they are. They pack in so much rice that pieces cant even close (see image)!

horrible food, and customer service is astonishingly bad. We didn't like their behavior so decided not to tip. The waiter literally forced us to tip him, despite us stating that food and service both were bad.

Aunque es un pague 30 US por todo lo que coma, la comida se queda pobre de sabor, la carta es muy extensa y confusa y no es tan buena la comida.

One of the best all you can eat sushi in queens, even though their prices increase each year, it's still worth it if you're really hungry. Probably not the best for dates on weekends as it can get pretty noisy and you might have to wait for a table

i ordered an all you can eat just sushi and they didn’t specify that i have to finish everything to not be charged something extra. i didn’t finish everything and they charged me extra money. the service is terrible and the workers are rude towards the customers. very disappointed in this place and definitely don’t recommend coming here.
