A little pricey for the dinner menu but we had to do it. I like sashimi and don’t like to get filled up with all that sushi rice. Also, many of the fish, roll, and appetizer options were not available on the lunch menu. The fish was fresh but could be sliced thicker and their hot appetizers were all really well made. (Minus the beef teriyaki which was really tough and the seafood udon noodle soup that didn’t have much flavor) I did notice that their rolls were not packed with rice so maybe the cheaper lunch option could be the way to go next time. I also noticed as we ordered our third round of sashimi, the fish didn’t look as good anymore. My suggestion is that if you’re ordering sashimi, try to get your entire sashimi order in on the first round.

Wouldn’t recommend. The service was nice but food was not the best. After the first round I regretted coming here. Rolls with the shrimp tempera was bad and the rolls just taste like mush in your mouth when you eat it. Give up on the rolls and decided to order food so we ordered the chicken wings and cooked salmon. The wings was oily and had a sour taste, most likely rotten and stored incorrectly in the kitchen. The salmon was decent though, had a sweet honey taste to it. Overall good customer service but bad food 😭

This place is too lit. We’ve come two times now and both times was more than we would ever want from an AYCE. Food is really good, fish is fresh, and the service is quick and friendly! Also appreciate that their tuna is like real, fresh akami and not the usual frozen block kind from a lot of regular sushi places. The two best raw rolls were the one with lobster salad and fried sweet potato on top and the one with spicy scallop on top. They also have a special (monthly?) and it hits every time. $50pp after tax and tip. I think they may have added another section to the restaurant. We sat in the new area and it was so clean and comfortable. Sorry we ate so much love u guys.

To start, if you going to eat in an all you can eat I always recommend to be really hungry specially in this place. The food is amazing, they make the sushi rolls, sashimi anything you order they make it as you order it. The food is really fresh they have a huge variety of deep fried rolls, special rolls, the regular rolls as well and so many other options like fries octopus, a cutlet of pork, beef and chicken katsu. They have so many options. This is a really nice place to go with your friends and share. I highly recommend getting the Dyname roll, is a deep fried roll with cream cheese it was so good. As well as the options that have mango in it.
The staff in this place is very professional, very attentive and I want to say that they make you feel welcome, they have a really good service.

I always come back here with my boyfriend whenever we are craving all you can eat sushi!! They have a wonderful selection for about $50 per person before tips and tax. Easily the best all you can eat place with the freshest seafood. One time I even brought my dog and they were so accommodating and offered us outdoor seating. Not sure if this still applies since that was during peak quarantine times but restaurants started reopening.

I used to love going to this spot- when they first opened, their service was top notch. Once they got popular, I firsthand saw shady they became. I went with a party of 6 and constantly our orders were missing about half of what we were ordering. To the point where they were rushing us to leave but our order of about 12 rolls that we had ordered 20 minutes before completely seemed to disappear (we didn't get a single one). Dishonest and I left hungry, you guys are thieves

This is the best All You Can Eat sushi location in NYC. The food is quick, the servings are as much as you order. To top it off, you can get as much sashimi or sushi you want. The value cannot be matched.

Akino is one of the best all you can eat sushi places I’ve been to. The food always tastes super fresh, and everything is really flavorful. My favorites are the salmon dragon ball and the yellowtail jalapeño so good! Definitely worth it
Visited 3 months ago
First of all, best sushi of my life. The fish was very fresh, and it was amazing. The price was alright, 26 dollars a person. But on holidays or other times it goes up to 46 and its packed. When i went me and my mom had to set in the outside area getting dripped on at a plastic table. The food made up for it though. It is a all you can eat restaurant, so we ordered a lot. I would reccomend the fried things such as shrimp tempura (?) rolls or the sweet potato as the frying is amazing. When i tried to go again with the rest of my family, the place was packed and it was a 2 hour wait. And when we went the first time, we didn’t get the worst of the wait or the noise. If you have time on a weekday or a not crazy day (dont listen to the google maps busy rating) you should go. Best sushi ever.
*Edit*
So i went again a few days ago after the SHSAT, and i saw a few different things. The frying wasnt as good this time. It was still good, but not absolutely amazing like the first time i went. This time i got to try some raw fish cause i had my uncle with me. For not looking good, the fish was very tasty. I also would recommend the spicy salmon, as it is not spicy, but the sauce is good and you can feel a bit on crunch with the normal salmon taste. Also for the specials, i would say to get the dragon balls, and the volcano and the one with spicy salmon. They are both good. Still best sushi.

Perhaps it was a one-off, I ordered delivery and got crunch that was hard like bone. The yellowtail roll I ordered was very very fishy
Even the other rolls I got were mid
I don't think it was the delivery time that was the issue as I got the order in 30 minutes
I had a good experience dining in person a few years ago too

My husband and I ate here a few days ago and we experienced the most horrible service!!! My family and I always come here and sometimes the service is not great but it’s never been unbearable until this incident. My husband and I wanted to eat at a decent sushi place a few days ago but we know we can’t eat a lot anymore so we were very mindful of how much to order so that we can finish our food and not leave much waste. Granted, we did leave a little bit of rice left over but I think that is fair considering an AYCE restaurant. However, while we were having a conversation the waiter comes to our table and was super DISRESPECTFUL AND LOUD. She goes “ next time you need to eat all the rice! I will charge you if you don’t eat the rice!” and she kept saying it multiple times. It was extremely embarrassing and rude to the point where the tables next to us felt uncomfortable as well and they asked for the bill earlier. We could tell that felt bad that the waiter treated us in such a disrespectful manner. It is not what she said that triggered us but the way she said it. It was not nice at all nor was it necessary. For this reason, we will NEVER come back here and I hope there is some disciplinary action taken towards the waiter. It was just very uncalled for and we did not deserve that from her.
My family and I have always noticed that the service here was never great and could tell that the hospitality in this restaurant was not the best but this is way beyond that. I would rate this restaurant 0/10 and I hope the waiter never treats any other customer like that again.

I was craving all you can eat sushi and went with my husband on July 4th. We were super excited that Akino was open on the holiday and weren't really expecting a lot of people, but when we arrived (without a reservation), it was almost full. We were lucky that they had an open table for two, but that was the last open table for two.
They were super busy and one of the staff gave us our waters. My husband saw that there were particles floating in our water and a rim around the cups as if they weren't washed properly and asked for new waters, to which the staff member apologized and gave us new cups.
We ordered a lot of sushi and fried food and just about everything was delicious! The fried chicken is so good and addicting! It's crispy, crunchy, juicy, and a little tangy from their marinade. I don't know how they make it, but I want their recipe so bad! The mackerel nigiri is presented really nice and my husband loved the flavor. The teriyaki and katsu were a nice break from sushi. We ordered a spicy tuna roll and it tasted odd like it had gone bad so we let the staff know and they took it away. Aside from the water and spicy tuna, everything was amazing! I look forward to going back to Akino and highly recommend it!

Overall it was great. Reasonable price for all you can eat. Many selections you can stuff your face with. It was all going so well until I got a second order of clams. The first order of them was great so I ordered more. Second order, however, we got served clams that went bad. They were grey and gooey, smelled funky and tasted disgusting. Unfortunately, I did eat one unknowingly, and I gagged so hard I almost threw up. Just keep in mind to check your clams before consumption. They most likely deep fry the clams since they don't serve it fresh and are trying to get rid of them. Otherwise, enjoy all the sides and all the sushi rolls you can try out.

Akinos is a gem of a sushi restaurant that exceeded all my expectations. From the moment I stepped in, I was transported to a serene and elegant atmosphere, perfect for enjoying the artistry of sushi.
The selection of sushi at Akinos is unparalleled. Each piece was a work of culinary art, meticulously crafted with the freshest ingredients. From classic rolls to innovative creations, every bite was a burst of exquisite flavors that danced on my palate.
What truly sets Akinos apart is the impeccable quality of their fish. It's clear that they source only the finest seafood, resulting in sushi that is not only delicious but also of the highest caliber.
The service at Akinos was also exceptional. The staff was friendly, attentive, and incredibly knowledgeable about the menu. They guided me through the experience with grace and professionalism, ensuring that every aspect of my meal was perfect.
Overall, Akinos is a must-visit for any sushi enthusiast. Whether you're a seasoned connoisseur or trying sushi for the first time, Akinos will leave you craving more. Trust me, you won't be disappointed!

For AYCE, it's a pretty solid deal since they offer sashimi. However, the quality is just okay. We tried a bunch of rolls and apps, but nothing really stood out. The fish wasn't super fresh and some pieces tasted a little funky.
For 2 people with 2 beers and a soda, it ended up coming out to about $130. Definitely make a reservation because it gets super busy for dinner. We were told the wait for 2 was an hour, but luckily it ended up only being 20 minutes at 7:30PM on a Thursday.

I came here today for the first time for the $26 lunch menu but they charged us for the $40 dinner menu solely because we ordered two items off the menu that were apparently off the dinner menu. This was not communicated to us at all and we would not have ordered those items if we knew. Their lack of communication of something that should be exclusively told or at least seen on the menu was extremely unprofessional. Not to mention the slow service where the food was given to us one at a time, little by little. The employees wouldn’t pay us much mind unless we flagged them down each time.
The only reason for giving another star is that the food was good. However, truth be told, it wasn’t anything exceptionally delicious or special. Plus, although it is AYCE, the portions were extremely small.
Overall, I will not return again.

i understand that restraunts can get busy and sometimes you can’t get your food as fast as you want it to come, but today when we came here to eat we waited for 15 minutes just for edamame and then another 20 minutes for 3 rolls. we were also charged for the dinner fee because we orders 3 other rolls and one piece of sashimi from the dinner menu but it was not stated on the menu and when they took our order no one seemed to tell us about that, because if they had, we wouldn’t have gotten those and paid an extra $14 per person. the lack of speed, communication, and overall quality of the food wasn’t something i’d want to go to again and something i wouldn’t recommend to others.

Love the new seating area!! The food was quite good sushi pieces were kinda small but I guess that’s to be expected of AYCE. I belive they prepare everything to order so it wasn’t extremely fast but it wasn’t slow either.
What I really enjoyed was everything was avocado… the avocado was So buttery and perfect in every single piece I was blown away. Nigiri was wonderfully crafted and each fish tasted very fresh. Looove akino!!

I came many years ago when it just opened. It was just okay. There's nothing to rave about.

Staffs were friendly & explain how the ordering process is since it was our first time.
Fairly since & food arrived quicker than I expected & everything tastes good. We order a lot of sashimi, it was fresh & big pieces. Overall a great experience & will be returning soon.

The food is decent but a few things rub me the wrong way about this place. The main thing is they charged me a 5% credit card fee that wasn't listed on the menu, website, or any signs in the restaurant. I found out when I got the bill and didn't have cash. I don't know any credit card company charging that much so it feels like they're charging extra to make a little on the side. I didn't mind taking it of the tip because the service was pretty slow on a day that wasn't very busy.
They also cheap out on random stuff. All plastic utensils including flimsy soy sauce dishes. You get one tiny packet of fake wasabi for the table unless you can hunt down a server to ask for more.
I would come back, but only during weekday lunch with cash on hand, and more realistic expectations for the experience now that I've tried it.

Might be a little pricy for some ($41-43) but, the food is great here! Definitely try the tempura, I think they fry it fresh because it was hot and crispy when it came out. So there might be a short wait. If you can't eat all don't go here. At $42, getting full top fast makes it not worth it.

Super yummy! I came on a Wednesday evening for AYCE sushi. It was 40.99 per person which I don’t think is that bad for quality sushi plus it’s unlimited for 2 hours. You do get charged if you waste food so don’t get more than you can manage. Sushi was super fresh and the service is super quick. We were sat down immediately and they explained the process. We got a few different rolls, tempura shrimp and eggplant, salmon sashimi, edamame, salmon tatami, and the salmon ball which was super good! No complaints and it was worth the ride from Harlem.

There is a good assortment of sashimi and sushi rolls. I recommend the eel, octopus, red clam, yellowtail, salmon sashimi, and the special rolls. However, I would skip the red snapper, squid, and sushi pizza. The texture of these was not the best, and the sushi pizza was just a big ball of rice, fried and cut into quarters, topped with yellowtail and crabmeat.

I am delighted to share my glowing review of the all-you-can-eat sushi restaurant located in Elmhurst, where quality meets affordability in the most delightful way possible.
This hidden gem of a restaurant truly stands out for its fresh and flavorful sushi offerings. The sushi and rolls here are a cut above the rest, with a unique twist that sets them apart - instead of thick layers of rice overpowering the fish, the rolls are delicately crafted with thin layers of rice that allow the pristine taste of the fish to shine through. Each bite is a harmonious blend of textures and flavors that showcase the expertise of the chefs.
What truly impressed me about this place is that despite offering top-notch quality food, they manage to do so without breaking the bank. The all-you-can-eat option provides an opportunity to feast on high-quality sushi and rolls for a fraction of the price you would expect to pay at similar establishments.
This all-you-can-eat sushi restaurant in Elmhurst is a true hidden gem that caters to sushi enthusiasts who appreciate fresh, well-crafted dishes that don't compromise on taste or quality, all without burning a hole in your wallet. This place is guaranteed to leave you satisfied and eager to return for more.

this is my second time coming here, and i will NEVER EVER come back. do NOT come HERE unless you want crappy service, it’s not worth the trip, just go the countless other sushi spots all over nyc.
the first time i came, they played taylor swift music the whole time we were there… which was weird because it was the same 10 songs playing over & over… but whatever.
this time they chased us down to DEMAND we tip more than we already did… which in hindsight we should NOT have. firstly, they made us sit right next to the bathroom. (this is the second time they do this) which wouldn’t have bothered me so much if i hadn’t seen some people using double the amount of space we were given.
secondly, do not expect any kind of personal space because you’ll be seated right next to another party. i literally jumped because the party next to was YELLING.
thirdly, the waitress literally set the plate so harshly down on the very edge of the table & had a disgruntled look on her face.
when it came time to pay, we decided to pay cash since we had more than enough to pay for the tab and tip a fair amount given the service. while exiting another waitress chased us down to demand we tip more, with a disgruntled look on her face. we felt very uncomfortable and told her we gave her all the cash we had. which she then said we should zelle her more. i didn’t want to tip anymore than we did given the service but my cousin zelled her just so she would leave us alone.
honestly, what she did was so extra, you would have thought she chased us down because we didn’t pay or we didn’t tip… so unprovoked & unprofessional.

Highly recommend reserving ahead if you have a party of five or more. They prep your table and the service from beginning to end was very personable, friendly and just the right amount of attentiveness. The sashimi all-you-can-eat is very fresh and delicious. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE their salmon and tuna sashimi, beef sirloin, takoyaki, dragon ball, yellow tail jalapeno, and so much more. Don't forget to ask about their daily special. Today's daily special was crab with black caviar in a truffle sauce. AMAZING! One mistake I made was ordering miso soup. It was delicious, but it filled me up.

This is an all you can eat place. You got 2 hours.
The sashimi were good, but I feel like the cuts on the tuna weren't as good as other places. Too much fiber, and it gets stuck in-between your teeth.
The food were well put together.
The chicken wings were not great. It tastes like it was frozen for too long.
The food came really quick, but we ordered 4 miso soup, and only got 1. And it's no big deal it's all you can eat so we ordered more miso. But it was weird. That they would miss an order like that. And the spoon used for the soup were those cheapy halal truck spoons.
The parking is tricky. There is a parking lot outside but it's shared by so many other stores.

I’ve been to Akino a few times already, and it’s a decent AYCE sushi and sashimi restaurant. It takes me about a 10-15 minute walk to get there. Plus, it’s located in a populated area, so it’s pretty accessible and convenient.
The space, itself, is tight and crowded on a Saturday evening. There’s barely enough space to accommodate each diner. Each table is also relatively small when you consider how much space each platter takes up. Don’t expect a comfortable dining experience.
As for the food, it’s pretty good. Since it’s AYCE, you can order any food at any quantity as long as it’s on the menu. I typically order sashimi, sushi, and some appetizers to get things rolling. Their sashimi are fresh, and each serving is good. I ordered some Ika Sansai Salad (squid salad), Takoyaki, and Salmon Dragon Ball. The squid is pretty tender and well marinated.
The Salmon Dragon Ball is delicious, and I love the amount of avocado and salmon they offer per piece. As for the signature roll, I highly recommend the Lobster Roll.
At the time of writing (5/25/24), the AYCE dinner price is $42.99 on weekends & holidays and $40.99 on Monday to Thursday. It’s a somewhat steep price especially for those who aren’t into sushi, sashimi, and/or Japanese cuisine in general. You really need to order a good variety in order to make your money’s worth!

I was very shocked and disappointed in the food portion and service. I came here for my anniversary celebration with my husband. I was told that for sushi and / or sashimi, we were allowed to order 1 piece at a time. This restaurant doesn't even have proper plates for customers. We had to use those soy sauce plastic little trays. My very first order I placed 5 items was only given 2. Even a couple sitting next to us who came in later than us already had their orders n eating. I asked about the rest of my order n waitress said she didn't know. Sushi n sashimi slice was as thin as paper n length of my little thumb. I will never recommend anyone to this place.

We had the all day dinner ayce option. Service is really good. We orders a multiple of dishes. Not that impressed with sashimi but overall items , it’s decent. Parking was a hot mess.

The food, service and atmosphere is really good, also sometimes when a lot of people are there and it’s crowded, it’s still enjoyable and waiting times are reasonable depending on the situation of the restaurant.

The restaurant was nice but we were sat outside, the service was okay but it felt rushed, but worst of all I got food poisoning from this place.

Food was fast to come to table on a Wednesday evening. No problems with the food quality and ratios.

Found this when searching for AYCE Sushi , very happy to have seen the other reviews and tried. They give you a checklist menu and you can order appetizers mini entrees, sushi, sashimi and rolls. The fried rice and noodles were just ok but the sushi was very good! The servers were very attentive, I was nervous to be charged for uneaten food but there wasn't an issue. Will definitely return .

Food was not bad for its price. However, terrible experience with everything else. Staff was talking to each other way more than working, you would have to call them over for them to notice you, at the end they demanded more tip (which is suppose to be based on the customer) which is unbelievable considering how they didn’t do much to let alone deserve a tip and the space was extremely cramped and the tables were small. Probably never coming back.

It's an interesting sushi buffet restaurant. There are many menus to choose from. The shop has many seats. If you're going with more than 2 people, we recommend calling in advance to reserve a table. The staff manning my table was rather uncaring. I sent the menu in about 10-15 minutes and the food still hasn‘t been served.

Went on a Friday for lunch. Before we were seated, the staff let us know that it was a dinner menu all day that day, and would cost a bit more ($43) with the all you can eat This sushi AYCE certainly has a lot more options than many others and if I lived in the area, I would probably come back; but for the price, I likely would not trek in from another borough again. The tataki and the dragon ball items were unique and tasty.

Akino is my favorite Japanese restaurant in Queens. Wonderful atmosphere, friendly folks, and great service. The food is absolutely fantastic with reasonable prices. I highly recommend this spot if you want a taste of authentic Japanese cuisine.

The food is good (not amazing, but good) but they will harass you about your tip if they don’t agree with it. They literally tried to chase us out the door to increase the tip because they weren’t happy and then lied and said we promised to leave a big tip when we never said anything about a tip to begin with. I noticed we were the only minorities in there when this happened. Doubt I’ll be going back.

I have been here several times and am always very pleased with the service and the food. Never disappointed. Would highly recommend.
Also order a little at first and then just add on, because when you order too much, you are literally stuffing yourself, haha.

When we arrived, we didn’t know when the lunch or dinner time was because it doesn’t specify anywhere, so we went in with the idea of paying 26$ per person but it was “dinner time” so it was around 40$ per person. The food was really good in the beginning the portions were really good but when it arrived towards middle end of our meal time the portions became smaller and the orders became messed up some food ended up at our table that belonged to another table, and everyone was seated Farley close about like 5 feet apart from each other, it is very good for the experience for the dinner side but if you do plan to eat here consistently the lunch time is definitely better because it is usually less packed and because it’s less packed the whole dining experience is better. No hate great exceptional food, service messed up towards end, atmosphere was good but very crowded and condensed towards sunset time and the inside was decent, you see the chefs cooking and preparing the sushi’s but the decor was pretty lacking. 4/5

This place is a hidden gem!! My Sunday lunch experience here was exceptional, with each dish surpassing my expectations. The sashimi, in particular, was outstanding, with the salmon being an absolute highlight—its melt-in-your-mouth texture left me craving more. Despite spending a leisurely two hours, the time flew by in the cozy ambiance. I highly advise making a reservation to avoid the inevitable long wait times, but trust me, it's worth it. Overall, I can't recommend this place enough for a memorable dining experience.
