Kura Sushi USA, Inc., is an innovative and tech interactive Japanese restaurant concept established in 2008 as a subsidiary of Kura Sushi, Inc. As pioneers of the revolving sushi concept, the Kura family of companies have improved upon the developed innovative systems that combine advanced technology, premium ingredients, and affordable prices to enhance the unique dining experience. Since the first restaurant opening in 1977, Kura Sushi, Inc. has grown substantially with more than 500 locations across Japan, Taiwan and the United States. Our philosophy of “muten” or “nothing added” is an ongoing promise that our food is prepared using fresh, high quality ingredients free of artificial sweeteners, seasonings, preservatives and colorings.
I've been to this location several times for lunch with some friends and it's been a great every time. Grabbing sushi off the revolving belt is a fun little experience and their choices of hot foods and other sushi adjacent dishes are decent. Admittedly it is pricier than just ordering sushi from another restaurant, but I feel the unique environment makes it worth it. It's well worth a visit just to see how it feels.
I've been here several times now and my average bill + tax + tip is approx $60. But my friends and I do eat a lot so I would expect lower costs when you don't aim to eat everything on the menu!

My idea of dinner and a show! What a fun way to have a sushi dinner. We used to have to drive all the way to Jersey to get to a Kaiten Sushi place, delighted to see one in Long Island that’s just as wonderful.
Pretty high tech for tech aficionados - drink robot, touchscreen ordering, a conveyor belt to bring your custom orders, another converter with the endless sushi plates, and a plate return to automatically keep track of your bill.
The menu isn’t as extensive as other sushi places but it’s a lot more fun.

Had a really bad experience here on 11/26/24. As you can see from the photos there was NO FOOD the entire time I sat there. 99% of the plates that came around were empty. It was lunch time around 12:30. When I tried to order on the screen it told me to try again later. The place was empty so it's not like it was very crowded.
The server was friendly and empathetic and tried her best to help but there was nothing she could really do. At one point she asked me what i was trying to order and put the order in but the food never came out.
I've been here 5-10 times and usually had a good experience but this was baffling. I came here on my lunch break because it's quick and convenient. You can't really serve food at a restaurant that literally doesn't have any food.
I sat there for about 45 minutes and only managed to get 5 plates. And they weren't even the ones I wanted. It was more because I was starving and had no choice.
Very unlikely to ever come back. Pretty much a total failure of the entire purpose of this place existing.

They have fresh and delicious sushi! Plus they have meals like ramen and desserts too. I’ve been to Kura sushi bar in Hartsdale before and I wanted to try other locations too. And it was great! I’ve visited Kura Sushi at two locations in New York and once in Japan, and while nothing quite compares to the freshness of locally caught fish in Japan, the experience here is still fantastic. I often bring friends to discuss business while enjoying every single piece of sushi on the belt. I love the variety, not just sushi—they also serve other dishes like ramen, which adds to the options. If a particular sushi is taken before it reaches you, you can request it, and it arrives on a separate belt, which is super convenient. The atmosphere is lively and enjoyable, and I love how consuming 15-20 plates earns you a surprise ball with an anime-themed toy. On my last visit, I had a great conversation with an employee, making the experience even better. Kura Sushi is always a good time!

It's a great experience with great food, I honestly can't say much about how much fun you'd have as it's your own personal enjoyment that drives this place. It was personally fun for me the grabbing sushi from the lines and waiting for cool things to appear. They do have an electronic menu to order from if you want something specific and I use it pretty liberally lol.
If you can, definitely give it a go with some friends or alone which I plan to do at some point, do expect some wait times though if you head at around lunch time or dinner time as it gets crowded. Try visiting in off hours if you want less of a wait time but I think it's worth it.

I’m giving an overall 2 star review for being my first time. I have no complaints about the service. However, I had an encounter with a roach on the table. When I was ready to pay I told the server about it very discreetly so that no other customers could hear and he apologized and assured me he was going to let the manager know. I will say I am a little disappointed the manager didn’t bother coming over to my table and apologize himself. Good place, except for the cleanliness

Good food, great server; Nyzha! Nyzha made our choice the right one. Though the dishes on the conveyor belt were mostly empty - Nyzha kept our table filled with drinks and attended to us constantly to see if we needed anything. Super pleasant and sunniest disposition. Thanks Nyzha! Will be back soon for great service and hopefully less empty plates on the conveyor belt!!

Pretty cool place that serves sushi in a fully automated setting. Food is good, a little pricey, but you get to try a lot of things that would be specialty rolls or dishes from other places without committing to a whole order. Think sample size with somewhat sample prices as opposed to a full dish of something that is pricey and you may not enjoy.
Medium sized place with a good number of tables. Almost everything is automated. One you sit down a robot will bring you water, drinks, and utensils, all the food goes around the place on a conveyor belt, and anything that you special order is done via tablet and put on a separate conveyor belt direct to your table. They have a few typical sushi rolls but most of the dishes could be considered specialty rolls. In addition to the sushi and sashimi that go around, you can also order sides or other full meals such as gyoza and ramen.
We enjoyed the special decoration for the Pikmin collaboration.

We were excited to try Kura. Unfortunately we were extremely disappointed. The sushi was poor quality, small portion, we ordered
Beef Udon soup, it tasted like it was watered down. The conveyor belt concept is interesting along with the robot that serves drinks, however, food is BAD not fresh, over priced. Rating T - for terrible.

Kura is awesome. It's a great place to bring your family and friends. The fish and rice are always fresh and I've been here over 10 times. I recommend using their app. You get coupons for your next visit based on your purchase

It's conveyor belt sushi. You are very much so paying for the experience more than anything else. The food is OK and each plate is roughly $3.90. Desserts cost more at about $6.90 a plate and drinks can range. Portions are small so that's why everything is priced mostly the same. After all was said and done I payed $110 for 2 people for mediocre sushi but going in for the experience of conveyor belt sushi makes up for the quality of the food. Definitely go if you haven't been before but I'd recommend going to places such as Takumi in commack if you're looking for really good sushi. 3 Stars for mediocrity.

So I’m a gal who loves a gimmick, of course I was very excited to come here. Disappointed is an understatement though… this was the worst sushi I’ve ever had in my life. Pathetic thin pieces of fish, texture and quality was off, just plainly bad. Miso was incredibly salty and the tofu had a weird texture idk how one even messes that up. The only thing that didn’t suck was the cheesecake. The server offered to take the miso off the bill after collecting the bowl and realizing I didn’t eat more than a few bites, which was nice but they forgot to and I didn’t care enough to make a thing about it. The cup had lipstick on it that I didn’t notice until pretty much done with my drink, it was just giving kinda dirty vibes all over there though. Bathroom was also disgusting. Writing this review with a stomach ache, it is not sitting well.

Kura is a fun little place to go to. I have gone to revolving sushi establishments before in other states. For $3.90 the portions are small compared to other places I’ve been to. Albeit, the fish is good quality and it is a fun place with a great gimmick. However I find that the couple of times that I’ve gone they have not had a lot of plates coming out on the revolver and the ones on it look old. Once we went and we saw a total of six plates with food on it so we had to order everything on the screen, which sort of defeats the purpose. Also would love a Kura happy hour at some point with discounted plates. Would be very cool 👍🏼

Wow!! What a cool restaurant! The concept is ingenious. Sushi served to you via a conveyor belt table side. Smh!! The food goes around on the belt, on a plate, covered in a dome like apparatus. There is an item description before each item passes by your table so you can open the dome and take, for example, grilled waygu beef on rice. Other items are seared scallops, spicy tuna roll, California roll, and ahi tuna roll. Kura Revolving Sushi offers Ramen noodles and other traditional soups. A robot brings you your soft drinks as well. What a great idea. Kura Revolving Sushi offers diners a new spin in the restaurant business. A+++ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I really like Kura Sushi. I have gone to a few locations. I never complain about service anywhere after working in service mainly because I know management is surely to blame and I'm confident that is the case for this restaurant as well. If you go I recommend asking for everything you need the second they seat you because you will not have an opportunity to talk to staff again. Which is a shame because they reduce the wasabi you can have at your table for some reason. I wish I could order in on the screen so the amazingly fast kitchen staff can send it. I will maintain that this is a management policy issue that is making it hard for the staff to do their job.

This was my first time at Kura revolving Sushi after hearing so many good things about this place! I signed up in the app to be on the waiting list, but when I arrived I was seated promptly. A server came over and explained how to order. I picked a number of different things as they came around on the conveyor belt, mainly Sushi. I had the salmon Toro, the scallops, the salmon golden crunch roll, the ikura roll and the yuzu jalapeño tuna just to name a few. Everything was delicious and fresh. I could actually see the chefs in the back cutting and making the rolls. You have to be careful because before you know it you might have a lot of small plates in front of you. I also ordered a hot sake. This was my first time there so I just watched and saw everything come around on the conveyor belt and chose what I thought I might like and everything was great. It was very intriguing. It’s definitely fun to see all the different dishes going past you. You can have a different meal each and every time that you eat there. There is a lot of variety to choose from. You can also order ramen and there is a second conveyor belt that will deliver your specific order to you. Next time I go back, I will try something new. My server, Kyle was very friendly and attentive and made sure to check if I needed anything. He even brought me water without me having to ask for it and asked me how I was enjoying my meal. He was very helpful. He told me about some of the new dishes and even recommended a few. I’m definitely going to go back with family or friends because it was such a fun great experience.

Revolving sushi bar, small but very fresh and tasty plates, staff is friendly but are a bit slow if you need help. It's a fun place but there will usually be a small wait time and I recommend asking to sit in a lower number table, because by the time the sushi makes it to table 30 there's not much left. Although you can express order food that comes straight to you as well

Divertida experiencia comiendo sushi en un restaurante muy original. La calidad de la comida es excelente y el precio razonable para ser sushi. Went for the first time and I will certainly be going back no question. I don’t typically write reviews for places, but the experience I had here was so incredible that I just had to sit down and write it as soon as I got in the car. First of all, the atmosphere is so beautiful and welcoming. Definitely not your typical sushi resturant, I mean there’s a conveyer belt ! And a robot that serves you water like what ??? I have to mention, our server, I believe his name is Joey, he has a bunch of tattoos on his arm. He made this experience worth writing a review about for sure. So polite and friendly, very personable. It didn’t feel like he was paid to serve us but like he genuinely enjoyed bringing us into a warm and inviting environment. I will be coming back so much and I hope to see Joey there !!

10/10 place, no notes. I'm living in VA, but every time I come up to NY I make a point to go here. It's that good. And the gacha system is cute and fun but I'm never there for the anime collabs. I also can never eat enough with friends for a second pull lol
Highly recommend the fried rice. It's a $10 small plate but it's 100% worth it. Don't get it alone though, split it with 4 people so you don't fill up too much on it and you can eat the yummy sushi too. Other recommendations are the takoyaki and the gyoza. Best takoyaki I've ever had by far. And make sure to nab the golden crispy rice on the belt, the sauce on it is nuts.

I’ve been to Kura in Fort Lee, NJ many times so I decided to try the Carle Place location for the first time time. The restaurant is identical in design. Still love the conveyer belt style restaurant. It’s a cool concept to just grab whatever you want. The sushi here is good but not high end sushi quality. The rolls are not good in my opinion but that’s just me. I prefer the nigiri options and their fried rice. The soy milk ice cream is also amazing.

I have a daughter who loves all things sushi. This was a fun experience for her and the family as well. Wait staff was very friendly and informative. They have a cute robot which goes around delivering drinks for a nice futuristic touch. Plates are $3.90 each for sushi ranging two-piece to four piece for a roll. You can also get the ramen or other dishes which are also reasonably priced $7-$11. Our check came out t0 a little over $30 a person. The only thing I would criticize is that you do not get credit for dishes other than sushi when building towards the 15 plate goal. That being said my daughter was very excited to get that prize. And it was so cute 🥰 Definitely making this a go-to from time to time.

My daughter and I had a fun time at Kura revolving sushi Bar. You can self check in at kiosk. We went around 4 pm so we got seated right away.
It was so fun to grab what you like from the conveyor belt! We enjoyed scallop sushi, shrimp crispy taco, sea bream sushi, tiger roll and eel roll. Each dish is $3.80 and most plates have 2 pc nigiri sushi (except Toro) and 3 pc rolls
Once you order the drinks from the tablet, a robot brings over the drinks and it was just so fun to watch.
We really enjoyed taiyaki with ice cream and red beans.
I was skeptical to try sushi, esp I had best sushi in Japan a few months ago, but surprisingly sushi was pretty good if you select right items.
It was a fun date with my teenage daughter and I will def come back to try other items!

There’s a tablet outside to sign in and it sends you automated texts letting you know when to check in. Parking is always available. Inside, the store is decorated with goku themed decorations and there’s a drink robot going around delivering drinks. This was a very fun concept to try and my kids loved every little thing. There’s a in amount of food options ranging from sushi to desserts. Every 15 sushi plates, you get a prize from the prize machine which was a lot harder to get than i originally thought. My kids tried so hard! The staff was very friendly and accommodated us well. I would definitely recommend this place to try!
Must try sushi: bluefin toro, eel, Hokkaido scallop, kumamoto wagyu
and, I highly recommend the Japanese soy milk donuts or the taiyaki ice cream!

I recently just tried this place after hearing about it from my coworkers. The concept is very appealing and i had a great time grabbing the plates from the belt. Food was a lot better than I expected. I really liked the hand rolls and the taiyaki ice cream. Service was great given how busy it was. There’s also a lot of free parking and an outdoor waiting area.

Fun revolving sushi restaurant and it's Dragon Ball themed! For every 15 plates of sushi you eat, you get a prize from the machine. Speaking of, sushi was fresh and the revolving part is fun to watch. I was here for a late lunch so there were less plates floating by but it was easy enough to order it on the kiosk and then it was still delivered on the upper belt. Very cool and efficient system. Staff is attentive and available when refills were needed on drinks. Best pieces were the steak with garlic, scallops, salmon and bluefin toro sushi. We also enjoyed the cheesecake and Japanese donut dessert.

Fast and easy. There's no need to think about what you want to eat just sit down, pick a plate, and start eating. Usually done within an hour or so.

It's a cool place. I think it's definitely worth a try. The food is just ok, nothing to write home about, but the Japanese style revolving food system is fun.

I’ve been to Kura in Tokyo first and then visited this location. Overall not a huge difference in quality besides the sashimi being a little fresher in Tokyo, but not bad at all. The USA menu has a few sauced up rolls that are very flavorful and almost unbearably sweet. This is a good chain to get decent sushi, but nothing out of this world. The system is built as such that you are in and out very quickly. The only negative is that there is no free hot green tea on the tap.

Great quality sushi

Im easy to please but this place goes so hard. The quality of the sushi is great and dear god I can spend some money here.

Conveyor sushi is a fun novelty and Kura Sushi has a pretty good variety to try. Each plate costs about $3.75, eat 15 plates worth and win a prize!

Very interesting way to eat out. My tip - try to get a table close to the kitchen, at the beginning of the conveyor belt. Otherwise, most of the selections will be empty and you'll have to order from the menu on the screen at your table.

First time and will never go back. Food is ok. Service is terrible. Waiting forever to get my hot tea. When it finally comes, it is cold. We don’t know the correct place to insert plates. Someone told us we put it at wrong place and bring two plates back. We put the two plates and then it appears again as extra on my charges. I told them you double charges, had the managers coming. Ironically, the manager said we put the two dishes back to the wrong place again after the lady returned it to us. I said we have not after they told us not to. No one listened. Have 5 people ACCUSED THAT I'M STEALING THEIR 2 PLATES. Close your business if you don’t have basic trust for people.

The food was good and it was fun choosing your own food thru the revolving thing they have. You can order too thru the little ipad on top of your table. When you order drinks the robot will serve it and its soo cool! Theres a lot of sushi choices but the sashimi is not there but you can order it.

Sub par sushi with the gimmick of trying to snatch sushi when I rather just order it 😆
I hated that there was less service and the stupid drink order robot gave me terminator vibes lol 😆
But I would still go back because it's a nice glimpse into our future lol
The food itself is subpar sushi and hardly anything was spectacular...
Over all I loved that I could also order off the menu and that made it better...
I also don't like eating like I am a fat pig on a conveyor belt lol 😆 but others seemed to like it I guess lol
Yeah I would go here because it's a silly way to eat sushi but honestly If the sushi was higher quality my opinion would look past all the circus.
So overall I would rate this place a 6 out of 10...

The service was very good, and there was always someone to pick up empty plates. The upper belt got us our personally ordered food quickly. And to top it off, there were little signs telling us what everything on the bottom belt was.

Really fun, great service, pretty good food. It’s a novelty for sure but that’s what makes it so exciting.

A fun place to go, everyone can get what they want, seeing the plates go by is great.

I love the atmosphere here. First time getting conveyer belt sushi and getting the toy at 15 dishes is so fun. Honestly though, for 2 people hitting 15 plates can be hard. If you are at 10 and really want a specific prize there seems to be a menu to just buy it for the price of one plate. Also, there are lots of hand rolls that come fresh made and the plates also count, definitely discovered that too late. Ordering off the iPad menu gets you the sushi which seems to be made fresh, I would really use the conveyer belt almost as a visual menu or maybe if you really want a plate immediately since getting it made for you is the same price. Again 15 plates should get you pretty full for 2 average people. Some of their other dishes are also really good but won’t count as a plate, and will make it even harder to hit 15 lol

Cute little revolving sushi place! Although the wait was roughly 45-60 mins on a Saturday evening, it wasn’t too bad. You have to sign in through their tablet located outside of the entrance to have your name in line.
The food was pretty good and fresh, and every thing can be ordered through their tablet system located on the top of the table. It was fascinating to see our food come through the conveyor belt and the drinks are served by cute robots. Every 15 dishes, you can get a free gacha prize. Pretty cool.

It's almost our Friday night to go place because it keeps sending coupons to us 🤣. The revolving bell keeps us busy for picking our dish. Of course, you can order through the screen too. The capsules are the main reason that causes us eats a lot and got those coupons. The capsules are either keychains or the magnetic thingy.
To be honest, the sushi there is better when it's first open. We tried everything. Some of the dished are delicious but some of them are so so. However, some of the dishes we had were good before, but they came out not good sometimes. Especially the fried dish.
This Friday, we realized the basic dish price goes up extra $0.05 which it's acceptable. But the portion seems smaller than before. So we be more careful about choosing what to pick.
We will still love to go because there are limited dishes every month and the thingy in the capsules changes every month. That's so interesting and keeps we feeling curious.

Sushi is really good. Honestly the best sushi I’ve had in nassau since moving here from queens. Good quality fish too. The atmosphere is okay but i love the conveyer belt idea with the prizes! Price is pretty decent also. Definitely coming back!

First time at a rotating sushi restaurant. I prefer a standard sushi bar, but this was interesting. It's worth a visit. Essentially self serve, so I'm not sure how to rate the service, but their staff were nice.

It was definitely a new experience. A little pricey, without realizing it. Each plate costs $3.75 and has 3 pieces of sushi on it. We pulled about 20 plates and ended up paying about $100 without realizing it. We felt we could have gotten more had we ordered takeout. It was definitely a good experience, but be expected to pay.

My husband and I had a wonderful experience here. We are not fans of sushi, but there are so many other options to enjoy. The Revolving conveyor belt of food is fun to watch, as well as the robot that delivers the non alcoholic beverages to your table. And don't skip the dessert. So good! Everyone who works there is so friendly! Props to Minerva!! And here's a tip: download app and join the waitlist there. You can get rewards there as well.

Really fun sushi place for friends or even a date night. Very unique concept on long island not any others like this I know about. The fish is fresh and portions a solid value. Wait to get in can be a bit long make sure to get on the wait list before you arrive and check in with the host.

I’ve been wanting to try this place out for months but there was always long wait. I finally got to visit last weekend and was extremely disappointed about this place.
Food - Not many varieties selections, and the raw fish were not fresh. You can easily tell from the color of the fish without even trying, and they turned out to be not fresh anyways. I was kinda surprised, cause I was under the impression that the busier a business is, the fresher the food is, which is apparently not true.
Service - no service at all. Robot was cute delivery drinks and that is all. Everything was done via iPad and delivery belt, which I thought was a good idea but don’t think the flow is quite user friendly.
Ambiance - very compact. Both tables and seats are tiny. We were a party of 3 adults and 1 kindergarten and found the seating to be way too small for our group.
Overall a not good experience and will not return.

As far as sushi restaurants go not the best out there but I must admit the experience was cool. That being said, not the type of place I would go to a second time. Done it, no desire to do it again especially when I could get better quality sushi at a cheaper price elsewhere.

first time here for a friends bday.. I don’t usually enjoy raw fish, however the cooked food options were really good as well. I would recommend the udon or the seared salmon with Japanese Mayo. The wait time wasn’t super long since we came around a good time around 5pm on a Friday night.
Shoutout to reiko for explaining how everything works and recommending her favorites. Everything we tried was excellent. Would come here again.

My boyfriend and I recently paid a visit to this location. The restaurant offers a wide variety of sushi, making for an enjoyable and engaging meal. Reiko, our waitress, went above and beyond to make sure we were happy and was very accommodating to all of our needs. We’ll be looking forward to our next visit. Our recommendation is to definitely get the taiyaki icecream the next time you pay a visit!

It's a terrible experience. The restaurant does not accept reservations and does not allow customers to wait for seats in the restaurant. Instead, it drives customers to wait outside the restaurant and forces customers to promote the restaurant for free advertising. My child and I waited for half an hour in the cold wind without a seat and a clear waiting time, but there was still no vacancy. It is sad that restaurants use hunger marketing and gimmicks to attract consumers but do not provide the proper services and dining environment.

Foods not taste good, worse than any sushi restaurants. Not many services from waiters. Food costs are expensive compared to its quality. I ordered a bowl of ramen, and it is the smallest size I have ever seen, but the cost is same as other Japanese restaurants.

Came here a second time with my husband and 3 kids. The first time was a lot better. We sat down and there was technical difficulties with the screen to order food. We had to switch tables. We tried one of the dishes we loved the first time and it was not fresh. We could tell it had sat there for quite some time. All the other dishes we had of sushi were good. We probably would go back but maybe at a busier time so we get fresher food.
