This is our most favorite restaurant in Brooklyn. The food is the best here, the service is superb.
This time we came to celebrate our wedding anniversary. And the owner and the manager, and young gentlemen who were helping us the whole night , Egor, Jay , and Alex made sure that we truly enjoyed our day. I can’t praise enough the chef. Every dish was delicious and carried out beautifully. Simply perfection.
They also changed the singer. Finally. Such a great change!!! The lady was absolutely great. The voice the choice of songs.
We are so grateful for such wonderful, talented and caring people who work there .

As someone with a professional background in food and a lifelong passion for culinary arts, my experience with the food and catering from Orange Grill in Brooklyn was nothing short of extraordinary. The dishes are not only creatively crafted, but they also speak volumes about the willingness of the chefs and owners to push the boundaries of flavor and presentation. The duck confit, wrapped in a light and crispy pastry, was a symphony of textures and flavors. The veal liver pâté, served on what appeared to be a simple cracker, turned into a surprising and delightful experience — the ‘cracker’ was a delicate bread pocket filled with churned salted butter, topped with pâté and red caviar, creating an unforgettable bite. Every dish, from the perfectly seasoned meats and seafood to the marinated chicken tikka skewers, reflected a mastery of ingredients and attention to detail. We had a private event last month. Everything was amazing - food service atmosphere!!!! All our guests had a great time and complimented all services. The waiters were professional and courteous Manager Alex helped us to make all necessary preparations for the party. The cooks did wonderful job- the food was very delicious. Just celebrated my daughter’s first birthday here last weekend and absolutely loved my experience. We had a big party of 87 people yet we fit comfortably and had room for full decor and dance floor. The waiters took care of us and every need. The music was great, everyone was dancing and enjoying themselves. The food was fresh and tasty, we took home the left overs and ate it the next day. It tasted just as good as at the restaurant. Everyone left full, happy, and satisfied. I would definitely throw another party here without hesitation

Amazing space, as a seafood shellfish allergic person, I found the waiters in reliable, I got very sick and could not eat anything!!! It’s all cross contaminated with seafood and shellfish… thank god for EpiPen…!
For a normal person, that like Russian foods, I would recommend it….

This is not my first time at orange grill and certainly not the last. I was at orange grill celebrating my father’s birthday on Saturday and let me just say what they promised for us, they delivered. The evening manager Alex met our expectations and more. The service was amazing, the food was amazing, the music and atmosphere was amazing. If you’re looking to have your party here for any occasion, you’ll be getting the best of the best here in Brooklyn.

Hello. This place is just amazing. That was our first time at Orange Grill. We were celebrating my son's birthday, we came in lunchtime, the restaurant was empty, like we paid for a private party 😊. We ordered a few cocktails and a few dishes. The food was soooo delicious 😋, that I couldn't really find the right words to explain how excellent it was. Every meal has it own, unique taste. I highly recommend this place to everyone. The prices are a bit high, but believe me, after you'll try that food, you will find out it's worth the money. Thank you, guys, for your business. We had my daughter's sweet 16 at orange Grill and it was an amazing experience from start to finish. The manager and head waiter helped us with every step of the planning process. They were accommodating and flexible. The party was amazing. Food was so delicious that I kept getting compliments on it all night. The ambience was great. They have an in house DJ who was awesome and played a perfect collection of music all night. The service was impeccable and everything was reasonably priced. I will definitely have more parties at Orange Grill.

A top notch restaurant. I will start with the food. It was really tasty, fresh and nicely garnished. Place is well decorated and organized. The staff was polite and the music- live singer was great, not sure if she is always here or only for special events like the one I was participating in- Birthday Party, but she has great voice and it was really a pleasure to listen to her songs.

Friday night we had 15 people party at the restaurant. Start with advertised valet parking, I was waiting 15 min in front of the place, noone came to park my car, even after complaint. So I parked my car myself.
Food was good with exception of Chilean seabass. It was not fresh and had fishy taste. Service was good. The biggest problem was entertainment. All night DJ with with terrible compilation of music, if it could be called music. Too loud techno. Restaurant wasn't full, just a couple tables, including our. When I approached dj and ask him to if possible to play some softer music, his answer was, I'm not playing anything else. If you want any other music each song will cost you $40.
Regardless of food and service, they lost all of us, as a customers. By the way total price per person was $200. We will never come back to this place. Too bad, it was good place before. It was not busy passed Friday, you guys loosing customers. If I was a owner of this place I'd pay attention and do something about entertainment complaints. Your dj is killing your business.

Definitely more of a Russian Restaurant than a “Modern French Restaurant” as described in their google listing. Came here for a wedding party. It’s your typical russian foods and drinks. The food was well prepared, service was efficient and observant, music was great for the younger crowds. For everyone else, the music was not ideal as it was techno the whole night. Apparently, the DJ said it costs $40/song request which is ridiculous. Otherwise, the place is very clean, great environment for any party. I think they had some Kosher friendly foods upon request. The kids had a blast running around on the dance floor. They claim to have valet, but multiple members of my party were left waiting outside for the valet. They wound up having to park their car themselves. The owner said the valet was sitting in his own car…

everything was really tasty and the atmosphere was really calming but the ending when we asked to pack the cake it was terrible. The service was so rude and the packaging was so terrible that they have embarrassed me in front of all of my guests. Just look at these pictures. If I could put a negative grade for their service I would. I had 5kg of cake and my guests get that?! Keep that in mind that I had 12 guests. 5kg of cake for 12 people and they couldn’t even give a normal full piece. I do not recommend.

It was a Saturday night, and we had our friend's birthday party. What I'd like to share is the restaurant, service, food was great. The only problem was the entertainment. The singers didn't play a good music unless they were tipped. If they were not paid by the customers for each song, they didn't bother to play a nice song and they were waiting to be tipped. It was so obvious, that I wanted to leave this comment for the owner to be aware of what's going on.

Orange Grill had always been our top two restaurants in Brooklyn.
From delicious and expertly crafted dishes to decoration, elegant style and service, they've been consistent throughout the years and continue to meet their standards in 2024.
I am very happy that we celebrated my husband's 50th birthday here. Denis, Alex and the crew made it so easy for us to entertain 80+ guests. There was an abundance of tasty dishes (I wish I had 2 stomachs). Fun music kept everybody on the dance floor for hours.
Stuffed quails, roasted Chilean seabass, crab cakes, tomahawk stake (just to name a few) were fingerlicking.
Btw, the cocktails were great too.

Emil should be fired. This employee demands money for a coat check. Never in my life have I had an experience like this. Unsupervised, he nearly extorted my wife. Had I not come back inside, he would have had a $10 quick pay that did not belong to him.

It is important to note that EVERYTHING ELSE at this establishment was superb.

I wanted to share a disrespectful and disgusting experience we received on Sunday from Orange Grill. It was my mother's 80th birthday and I wanted to make a surprise party and gather together our family and her friends. I have chosen Orange Grill specifically because of the music and service they offer (not even mentioning that we drove an hour just to have a good time at Orange Grill).
Unfortunately, the restaurant was booked for Saturday, so I was offered to book a table on Sunday.
I have been on the phone with the place for a week going back and forth from them forcing me to get a banket for 9 adults (3 of whom were elderly women) and 2 kids. Plus they wanted to charge $65 per kid for a banquet menu (my daughter does not eat anything in the restaurants despite chicken fingers). At the end they agreed that we just order from the menu and buy alcohol from them (we did not want to bring our own alcohol from the first place).
Sunday. We came to the restaurant. It was dark and not comfortable (like in a tomb) inside and we were the only table in the whole place with a quiet music playing on the background. Nobody greeted our guests who came a bit earlier as it was a surprise party. As well as nobody showed them the table. The manager was sitting behind the bar without moving at all. His face showed us that the restaurant was making us a favor for having us.
Back to the music. At first we thought that the musicians would come later to play the music so we can celebrate the Jubilee. But nothing was going on. My husband decided to check with the manager about the program/music. The manager's response to my husband was - you did not order the banquet, that was why we did not invite the musicians. So we asked if any other music can be turned on so we can dance and have a good time. They said ok, we will put something more entertaining. But the music was still the same. We even asked if we can turn on music from our phone. But they declined. I decided to talk to the manager to whom I was talking 4 times during the week. On my question why he did not notify me that if there is no banquet, there is no entertainment/music/dj, the manager responded: "Я вам ничего не должен. (I do not owe you anything)." And again repeated that if you ordered a banquet than we might invite the entertainment/dj. My next request was - Can I talk to the owner. The manager declined my request - "нет, я не буду вас связывать, он уже дома (no, you cannot contact the owner, he is at home and cannot be bothered.") And the way he talked to me was like he was doing us favor by having us in the restaurant. He kept sitting at the same stool without even getting up to have a respectful conversation. No apologies were offered. No steps were taken to somehow resolve the issue. We ended up just walking out of the restaurant feeling not welcomed at the place at all. Yet again the manager did not do anything to somehow stop us. Frankly speaking, we
think he was happy that we left. The only person who apologized to us was a waiter. We were really thankful to him.
We do understand that miscommunications happen. But the whole situation could have been hold with more respect.

I also wanted to say a huge THANK YOU to Chinar On The Island for a welcoming, warm and home like environment! The food was absolutely delicious! The employees were respectful and absolutely friendly! Huge THANK YOU to the manager for finding us a table and welcoming us! He was so nice! And the MUSIC! It was absolutely AMAZING!!! Thanks to them my mother had a wonderful time!

Sometimes I think people like keeping places like this a secret. If I were to ever open a restaurant, this has it all. The tablet menus with interactive videos of all the items on the menu, the chill music vibe, the dishes, the flatware, the napkins, the decor. Everything was incredible. We went on a Thursday for an early dinner. The place was relaxed, the wait staff was attentive, the food was indescribable. I had the braised short rib that literally melted in your mouth. The cocktails are so fun and delicious! This is truly my ideal restaurant. I love it! Also, my pictures do not do the food justice. I can’t quite capture how beautiful it was.

This place is such a top-notch culinary experience. Trust me when I am telling you this because it is not every day, not everywhere you can convince your Puerto Rican mother that only speaks Spanish to finally give sushi a try and to actually enjoy it!! And my 11 year old kid ate it all, every single piece of sushi he had, I saw him eating with so much delight and happiness in his face. Also, the wild rice and the braised short ribs were a top favorite for them and me. The dessert was good, but it could be a little bit better only in the texture aspect since it was terrific on the flavor side. It definitely is a pricey place, but it is very valuable and memorable, so I totally recommend treating yourself and go for it!!!

This is a beautiful restaurant off the beaten path in an area you wouldn't expect! we walked in and were immediately greeted by our host, who seated us immediately. I called for reservations, but, I honestly didn't need to, it was an early dinner. This place had a very classy " nouveau riche" atmosphere, and all the staff was very helpful, very accommodating. The iPad menus were refreshing and fun, with a very select number of items for each course.

I ordered the Chilean Sea Bass, Giza sushi and Mango cheesecake for dessert.

Chilean Sea Bass - Cooked to perfection! Lightly crunchy, delicately seasoned, soft, succulent texture inside. The seasoning didn't take away from the exceptional buttery taste of the seabass itself. Paired with the most delicious vegetables consisting of peppers and squash grilled and marinated with... I'm guessing soy, teriyaki and an Asian wine to perfection. This was an exceptional dish!

Ginza Sushi - The presentation was very elegant, served on a piece of black slate, arranged in a straight line with the pieces of sushi turned diagonally, which exposed all the ingredients in this Ginza roll perfectly! Absolutely delicious with an delightful hint of heat, I was surprised!

Mango Cheesecake - A very fresh, very light yogurt type texture with an enticing amount of mango flavor. It was a refreshing alterative to the traditional cheesecake usually served in most restaurants! it was a great dessert to top off such a delicious meal!

I honestly can't wait to go back and try the banquet selection they have on the menu with friends when the opportunity comes around. There was a party next to us who were getting what looked like delicious courses continuously served to them... I was envious!

This place was very delightful and the food was amazing. It goes without saying, they will be seeing me there again very soon!

Saturday before 8, nice saxophone music was played. Became more like night club after 8 when life music started. Service is great. Food very interesting and tastes awesome. No mayo food, which is typical for russian restaurants. This is the case when i say expensive, but not overpriced.

Been here at a party recently, honestly service could have been better if there was more waiters/busboys, and the way the food was served is just speechless. We got hot appetizers after the main course i mean is that normal? The sushi was great thats for sure. Meat could have been asked prior to serving how we want it cooked! Anyways overall could have been beter!

If you haven’t been this is a must go to. It’s a combination of French and Japanese fusion cuisine. We had the veal liver, yakatori skewers, Tokyo bites and then we couldn’t leave without one more order of the short rib skewers. This food is amazing. I can’t believe they’ve been here for 14 years. And I loved being among the glamorous Russians all around. Weekends they play dance music and the place jams.

I first experienced Orange Grill for my father in laws birthday. I was blown away by the environment that surrounded us. The place is beautiful! The service we recieved was absolutely amazing. I have gone to so many places that you would assume with the amount of staff they have, would accommodate the needs of any sized party and yet they don't. However, with half of that ratio the employees at Orange Grill went above and beyond. My family has no issues walking up to anyone for water, silverware, service you name it. But we were looked after that there never was a need. The food was fantastic, specialty drinks were insanely delicious and the cost of everything was fair and reasonable. This experience led me later this year to experience Orange Grill's catering sevice. I recently got married and both my wife and I agreed we needed Orange Grill as our caterer. With an attending 350+ guests. Not only was my wife and I specially taken care of on our special day. But not a single guest in our party had an issue. I cannot tell you how many people asked who our caterer was. The food was made on site and was as fresh as can be. Special chefs came to create the menu we wanted and made everything very versatile. Their "Japanese fusion" sushi was my absolute favorite and was nothing like I have every tried before.

Went this past Saturday, delicious food as always! The atmosphere is always lively and fun. Although we go often, I was tempted to leave a review because of the photographer there. He is a sweetheart! He gave us gorgeous photos that he took of us in nice frames for reasonable prices, not a service that’s easily found in many restaurants anymore. On special occasions and nights out, it’s definitely a service that I treasure! Cant wait to go back soon on a night that he’s there again! 10/10
