Contemporary Asian fusion spot with a chill atmosphere, serving sushi, Thai and Japanese fusion entrees ranging from Teriyaki and Pad Thai, to Wagyu Burgers and Thai Street Fries. Downstairs bar area serving cocktails, sake, bottle beer and wine.
I recently heard that they went through having to clean up their establishment due to cleanliness issues...which it happens, that's life. So i decided to go after being open again for lunch. I ordered Rock Shrimp, the Crab Lover's roll, and a Shrimp Tempura roll. Well the Rock Shrimp never got ordered. The Crab Lover's roll was all shrimp so that can't be right. And...the Shrimp Tempura roll was basic at best. The food came out somewhat quickly but i was the only person in there so figured that at least my order would have been correct. Then while eating i have the overwhelming scent of Windex in the air as my waitress was actively spraying Windex to clean the windows above plates, and silverware, etc. I'm sorry but there is a right way to clean around patrons and also a time to clean...and a time not to. I'm sorry to have to leave this review but i would think after getting hit with a violation they would clean up their act. It truly is a shame because it "could be" a great place. But would rather spend my money elsewhere sorry. Good luck.

I came in for ramen night last night and ordered the beef ramen. I was so happy when it came over to my table with such good timing and service and it was filled to the brim with so much vegetables. The broth was so good I felt that I could get full off of that alone. The service and atmosphere were so amazing too. I would definitely stop here again, they have so many amazing great deals! ππ

The service is great and the people are great. I didn't find the food I had to be amazing though. The drunken noodles have no spice to them at all. Not what I was expecting when I ordered them. And the chicken wings while very crispy were lacking flavor.
I think they are more known for their sushi though as their menu is mostly focused on sushi and sushi combos.

They said: That's how we make βall you can eatβ with $25
I never see in my life that much rice in sashimi. Seems like we come to eat rice buffet, not the fish π. The rice is also bad quality.
They said they will be charged if we did not finish the rice ( $2/piece) after they brought all the dishes of rice to our table.
Sounds like a scam. Everyone should be careful.

I went to eat the All You Can Eat Sushi on Mondays for $25. I eat sushi quite often so I generally know what expectations I have. However these rolls were not sushi. Chefs did not bother to put rice vinegar in their rice mixture which is essential to sushi! My shrimp tempura roll was so bland. It was missing avocado, cucumber, eel sauce. They didnβt bother to mix the shredded crab in with spicy mayo. This presented laziness and bad quality food. Skimping out on ingredients that are standard in sushi and to charge $25 is not right. This is not sushi. If you wanted more βflavorfulβ or more ingredients in your rolls they call it the fusion rolls that you have to pay $2-3 extra for every roll you choose. My waiter was nice but I genuinely feel so scammed and am never coming back here. PLEASE DO NOT BE FOOLED, THIS IS NOT SUSHI.

I'm pretty disappointed to be honest, I got the fried rice bento box and the rice is borderline inedible. It is coated in so much soy sauce that it is extremely salty and there are no veggies in it which I do usually expect when ordering fried rice. Also, my friend ordered a poke bowl which they got completely wrong... it's rare for me to dislike something enought give a low review but I spent almost $20 on something I won't even eat.

Iβve had food from here few times and thought it was sub-par, but do yourself a favor and look at their most recent health inspection:

This is about more than bad sushi.

Absolutely phenomenal sushi! We sit at the sushi bar and always have a great time when we come! We look forward to not only the best sushi around but also seeing our sushi chef E-Wa along with the other sushi chefs he has with him on the nights we go. I hope I spelled his name right. It is also a great atmosphere as well! Definitely recommend this place. Wish I could give a higher rating!

I really wanted to like it. I read the reviews, and it seemed like they may be unfair.
Boy, how wrong I was.
Let us start with the sushi. Anyone who thought they knew fresh sushi after joyfully eating here is categorically wrong. It lacked that sweet seafood taste that I am accustomed to, even at the least expensive restaurants. There is a pride in making and serving it - there was none of that here.
The menu does not state that their ramen does not include beef or chicken. Then there is a massive surcharge for beef or chicken. And it tastes like they had put a packet of instant ramen in it. Not like the hearty, balanced bowls we have had in the past at different areas. It was salty, and well, tasted like beef powder instead of broth.
Lastly, the service was miserable. Miserable. The girl just shrugged and said "That's my boss's rule" re: ramen; badmouthed her boss to her colleagues. I ordered this one last bit of sushi hoping it was more edible (we were traveling and starving). It took us to ask for the bill to get the sushi. We were waiting twenty minutes. It was sooooo slowwwww in the restaurant; we couldn't figure out what was taking so long. There were only two other customers.
I should have sent the gross salmon back. And we got charged gratuity in top of this.
We tip at places where bare minimum, they do their job pleasantly. We tip extra at places where they are kind and very busy. We tip at places where the waitress checks in to see how you are doing and refills your glass- none of which were done.

Husband and I ordered from Uber eats for SakeTume. We ordered 2 orders of spring rolls, edamame, Pad Thai and the rock shrimp app. They call us and tell us they donβt have spring rolls so we choose shrimp tempura instead. Okay no problem. 80 some dollars before tip. It get delivered and the pad Thai has nothing in it, no sauce no veggies nothing but 4 shrimp and some chopped peanuts. They sent one partial order of shrimp tempura (3) no sauce , the rock shrimp was good and the edamame was very over cooked. Very disappointed as weβve ordered from here before and it was good. Never again. Especially with the inflated pricing from Uber.

The food was good. Service was terrible. Server got our order wrong. Did not check on us and we had to flag down the bartender to help us. She was basically missing in action. Her service was not even worth 10%. Because we had a party of 6, the 18% gratuity was added onto the bill. I donβt mind tipping for good service, but this was an abuse of the tipping policy. This needs to change.

All you can eat sushi is a scam, they charge you for un eaten rice, outside of that the sushi is below average, rice is not sushi rice, and the fish is questionably fresh at times, sauces are bland or too strong and overpower the already bland sushi

Itβs the worst sushi I ever had, I would rather eat gas station sushi. The fish was bland and my soup was over salted. A Tom yum soup being priced 7 dollars is crazy because it was just broth with 3 pieces of bok choy. 25 dollars for all you can eat bland sushi is not worth it! My server was amazing.

Went with a group of friends recently and have gotten food delivered as well. Both times were very mediocre. The restaurant itself is nice looking but the service was lacking, none of the employees when we went seemed like they wanted to be there and we got our appetizer before our drinks which were 1 cocktail and 2 beers. Our second round of beers was actually expired. The tofu in the miso soup tasted dry which I didn't know was possible in a miso soup. The nigiri sushi I got was okay but my boyfriend did not enjoy his sushi rolls and said they tasted like grocery store sushi. It wasn't the worst experience I've had dining out but it wasn't good.

I didnβt take any photos. We ended up leaving. The rice was not the correct type, some of the fish was fishy and old and I chewed on something for way too long. Their menu has errors that we picked up on that no worker in the restaurant had known about. The people working were nice enough but if youβre looking for actual sushi, this is not the place.
Honestly, Iβve gotten better rolls from Stop.

Absolute junk. Insanely tiny portion sizes. When I picked up my bag from delivery, it was so light I asked the driver where the rest of it was! My ramen came with a giant clump of doughy noodles, and the smallest little to go bowl of broth I have ever seen in my long life. After putting the ramen contents in a bowl, I poured the broth over it and you literally couldn't see any broth without digging into the noodles.. I might have looked past it but the broth wasn't even good! It was just salty and tasteless. The fried gyoza, after paying above what id typically pay for a serving of fried gyoza, came with only four of them! Four! How wild is that? On top of all of that disappointment, everything had also clearly been sitting around for a while. The seaweed in the handroll was so chewy it was a battle to bite through it. Massive ice cream scoop clump of tuna on top. Huge disappointment overall, especially with the price I paid for everything. I will not be returning.

Rolls are tiny and overpriced, some left a bad taste in my mouth. I found myself saying I could make all of this better with no sushi skills. Possibly the most expensive sushi I've ever seen. No random sushi roll should be $18. Got a poke bowl for my son (who's 2) and it was a giant pile of white rice, a few tiny pieces of chicken, and some slices cucumber for $16. We had to call over the waitress twice because they were busy chatting at the front. Won't be coming back, I'm almost embarrassed at even trying this place out.

Went for a friend's birthday dinner. She called a week in advance to reserve a table and confirmed we could do individual checks with 8 people. The manager ended up being our server who behaved like he was 30 going on 13. He pretended like we couldn't do individual checks even when he was the one who agreed to originally via phone. Then said he would "make an exception" felt like he created a problem just so he could be a hero. He then blatantly told us that we better order quickly because his favorite table of frat boys ways there and he was going to favor that party's orders. They don't employ enough staff for the kitchen and unfortunately all our food came out randomly at different times. It was so chaotic even for the place not being very busy. Food is great but not worth the hassle at all.

I've been going to Sake-Tumi for about 10 years and as of late, I've been disappointed. I called in an order, waited the 30 minutes they advised on the phone, arrived to pick it up and no one entered the order or wrote it down, had to wait another 20 minutes. I usually wouldn't discredit something after 1 mistake especially in 10+ years but after dinning there tonight, I sadly believe the place is going down hill. I went to dollar sushi and the sushi rolls were noticeably smaller, so much so I was still hungry when I left after paying $90 for 2 people. Also, both of these times, all of the waitress' didn't seem too interested in actually assisting customers. They were all very young and no one was there to give them any direction, one even stood and talked to a friend while there was a line out the door. Again, I dont like to discredit something after a few mishaps but I'm not sure if I will continue to dine here, especially if there sushi rolls continue to be very small.

I normally love this restaurant but tonight I had a bad experience. It took 45min for my Ramen to arrive and when it arrived it was room temperature. (They had obviously forgotten about it.) I then asked them to reheat it, they took it back to reheat in the microwave and upon bringing it back they didnt bring back my utensils. The server wasnt apologetic for any of this. When I went to pay the server they also didnt bring me the correct change. It was disappointing because I had been looking forward to Ramen all day that work.

My wife and I and our 2 kids went there for our anniversary. 1. They left front door open it it was cold. Weather was 45-5 degrees. We sat 15 feet from the door. It took 10 mins for some water. 4 people, 3 straws and 3 slices of lemon. Alc bev took 20 mins. Mixed drink was fine. I got a bottle of sake, they brought a glass instead. Our kids were gonna eat ramen. They ran out. Then we ordered Thai short rib nachos, they ran out. We ordered another thing instead, they also ran out. Wife ordered drunken noodles to hopefully split that with the kids so they wonβt starve. Drunken noodles had only noodles and no other ingredients to be seen. The noodles were cooked only 10% so it was still crunchy super chewy like plastic. So the kids could not even eat any of it, so no food for the kids tonight. The crab fusion roll was fine. My $45 sashimi platter was subpar. Sticks of mango and imitation crab was weird. Sashimi pieces were cut chunky and wasnβt appetizing. The lime piece used for presentation was old and discolored. If the lime was old, imagine the quality of the raw fish! They forgot to charge us for the mixed drink so I told them to charge me. I still tipped them 20% and neither kids ate. We ordered Chinese and picked it up on our wat back. $112 spent for a bad anniversary experience. Japanese food. Specifically sushi and sashimi have to be fresh, high quality and precise in preparation. I hope they get better!

the food took so long to come which i wouldnβt have minded if it was good and it was not. the food was so inauthentic itβs kind of ridiculous. my favorite is the ramen which was supposedly with a spicy Thai broth. The broth tasted like salty water and the grand finale is pieces of squash and zucchini in the ramen. There were legit flies buzzing around my food. The portions are ridiculously small and seriously overpriced.

Food = Absolutely delicious.
My problem with the place comes down to how routinely we have to call and correct issues with our deliveries. Almost every single time, something goes wrong that we need to either wait on a redelivery or call the delivery service for a refund.
Tonight, we point blank told that the issue was their fault and received no support. We were told to either call the delivery service to and see if they could re-deliver, or put in a second order that would be discounted (not free, discounted). So - either we are out money on a second order or the delivery service is out money on a no-charge delivery run.
Used to love this place, but honestly going to the bottom of the list really fast.

Ordered to go.
Hip interior, cool vibe.
Small portions, disappointing Japanese food.
Ordered
unagi roll- 9$, very little eel and sauce, lacking flavor.
Misoβ tastes like salty water and green onion
Sweet potato fries- okay but underdone and packaged in plastic so they get soggy, served with sweet chili sauce that tastes like it's from a bottle.
Not interested in dining in. I think the folks who've reviewed well had never had sushi before.
Also I think the soy sauce is the cheap stuff. ( Edit: owner responded and corrected that they use Kikkoman or Yamasa low sodium soy sauce. Perhaps I was unaccustomed to the flavor. )

Went here for All-You-Can-Eat for date night. The sushi did not taste good at all. Service was also on par with the food. Our server kept forgetting what we had to order (drink wise) and there weren't alot of people there. We'd see the other servers chillin and chatting away so they weren't stressed out the amount of people there. Maybe it would've been worth it if the sushi were good, but, again, it was really bad (had to have been very low grade sushi or not stored properly or something). Don't fall victim to the hype; there are great sushi places in the towns over that are worth the visit.

I've been here once before for All You Can Eat Monday, and had no issues at all. It was a good deal, with good service and a good environment. However, this time around was a completely different story. This was the worst customer service I've ever had, EVER. We waited 20 minutes just to get menus. They didn't have enough of them printed, but failed to communicate with each other about who needed to print it which caused more waiting. Once we finally put in our first set of orders, they didn't think to mention that they weren't offering Unagi as part of the deal because it was "too expensive". So why have it on the menu? And if they printed new menus, shouldn't they have been updated ones? All the workers, besides the chef, were moving at such a slow pace and would disappear for long periods of time. It wasn't even that busy, which I would understand why we weren't be served as quickly if it was crowded. But even the chef began yelling at one of the waitresses in front of everyone and was the one to remind the waitresses that we still needed menus after waiting the 20 minutes. There was also a period where he was saying he had no plates to serve the sushi when he was done preparing it, and that we could see the sushi waiting on the bar to be given to us. All the workers were just very unorganized and seemed confused. The waitress also just completely forgot to put in one of our last orders. She claimed she brought it out, and then I had to explain to her she didn't. She then realized and made sure to make a side comment that, "all uneaten sushi is a $2 charge each". I am extremely disappointed and definitely will not be giving them my service ever again. What made it even worse is than when we got the check at the end, they automatically added 18% gratuity, which they did not deserve at all. Also, we were a group of 5 and I'm not sure if this is universal, but isn't gratuity only added automatically when the table is a group of 6 or more? Also, the only person I would have tipped a decent amount would be the chef. I always tip my servers at least 18%, so this isn't common of me to want to tip low. But again, THIS WAS THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED.

So the food was decent, the guys behind the sushi counter were nice and helpful. The wait staff wasn't the best. Lots of waiting and forgetting to put in our orders. It was resturaunt week on a Friday and honestly not all that crowded for the most part. Our waitress was very nice but didn't come around very much, she never put in our drinks or apps, the person making sushi actually saw us (we were kinda by the bar) he made us our entrees before the apps came out because he felt bad. Nice people, but maybe some more training on wait staff and better front of house management is needed. Food was decent though.

We even had to ask for a refill of water as that was empty for over an hour. There was nothing especially good about the sushi we did get and it is made with way too much rice. Never interested in going back!

Good rolls but terrible for condiments, always not enough wasabi and ginger

My first time there and I loved it. I love sushi so all you can eat sushi bar was a big hit with me. I even love the $2 charge if you don't finish all the food you order to cut back on food waste. Can't wait to go back.

Was a much better experience pre-covid, not sure what changed but serves has felt worse since.

Went here for the first time the other evening and had awful service, while there was only 6 tables filled they had two waiters, and during my time, it took them 20 minutes from when I ordered my drink for me to get my drink and 30 minutes for two sushi rolls. I will say the drink was strong and reasonably priced, the sushi was not the best and overall I would never recommend this place to anyone.

Sake-Tumi is a wonderful spot to have a meal and enjoy Sake. The tables are set up nicely, their outdoor space feels really cozy, the food is definitely on point and, if you order a meal to qualify for it, the bottomless Sake keeps on coming and is some of the strongest I've ever had.
Mary was the perfect person to serve us as we laughed and drank into the night, friendly and understanding of our needs.
Prices are actually reasonable, which blew my mind for the quality of what I'd eaten and drank. (Chicken Ramen, yum)
Would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone who enjoys a chill atmosphere where everything feels just right.

Despite being understaffed, everyone was very kind and treated us very well. The food was amazing and the overall atmosphere was terrific. I had my birthday dinner there and it was a great experience, I will be going there again.

5 stars for the great service, but the food was underwhelming. Had the all you can eat sushi, but felt like they used the older fish. Also the wait was very long. Overall, a fun experience, but would not recommend for a first time for a group.

Saketumi is my favorite restaurant in Binghamton. The servers genuinely care that you have a good time and are enjoying the food. All of the employees are so friendly especially Iwa at the sushi bar. My favorite things on the menu is the delicious rock shrimp and my favorite roll is green maki. The sushi is a work of art and your server will become your new friend.

Order food and then get it the next day thatβs how fast they are and itβs not even on a weekend or rush hour literally on a Wednesday .

Great food, but always were forgetting something with our order. Kind of disappointed that it's not on GrubHub anymore.

Waited for basically a half an hour to get water 15 minutes after I sat for a table I reserved. Parties came in after me and got served immediately. Would never go back if I could give zero stars I would.

The food litterally took an hour to come out, i ordered the beef teriyaki, and you should not. It was so bad, i would've rather eaten a mcdonalds burger, which would've cost $10 less as well. The service was meh, and if u want sushi, the sushi here was OK but save yourself the money and just get it from wegmans.

Absolutely delicious sushi! Amazing variety in rolls and wonderful service

Went here for lunch - ordered some generic rolls (that's what I was feeling). Took a while for the food to come out, and it was so-so. Each roll had 10 or so pieces, fish was decent but scarce and a too much rice on the rolls. No water refill, no soy sauce on the table, don't expect much in the way of service if you come here.

please only order sushi here, apparently they dont know how to make fried rice, or maybe the chef was drunk off sake. who knows.

My husband and I came here today for the first time. The place was empty and it took awhile for the waitress to come to our table or explain we needed to use the QR code menu. She did not check on us during the course of our meal, which took a long time to come out even though it was only two meals in an empty restaurant. The food was tasty but we would not come back because of the low quality service.

The employees are friendly, however the sushi is low quality. The rolls have very little fish and the meat they do include isn't worth the price of admission. Even on all you can eat Monday, this place isn't the move

The food was good , the service was eh. Got seated in the basement/ dungeon was attacked by either fruit flys or sewer flys the whole time. Told the waitress did even get a discount. Prolly would not go back.

Sakè-tūmi has recently become a favorite place of mine to dine-in and enjoy savory sushi. I've come here to enjoy the all you can eat sushi, and the dollar sushi on Tuesday. Today I came in to have brunch, really enjoyed the matcha french toast, I am definitely coming back to enjoy brunch again!

Amazing place to go for brunchπ Calm vibes & a great time with friends. The food was amazing really recommend getting the poke bowl the salmon and crab meat was on point. This place has always been one of my favorite and the addition of brunch on Saturdays just made my weekends more thrillingπ

Food was cold, soggy and unappetizing. Ordered 130$ of food and not one thing was good. We actually threw most of it away. Disgusting. They also just completely forgot to give us two whole rolls. Probably would have just been trash anyway.

Itβs Friday I ordered sweet potato sushi beef ramen and vegetable spring rolls. My spring rolls were burned , my sushi didnβt taste fresh and my ramen taste better if my five year kid would have made it at home.burnt egg in it , it tasted bad sorry never again.a waste of 31 one dollars
