This is one of my favorite restaurants in all of Albuquerque. When I'm visiting a place, I like to try new places, but every time I come and visit my sister, I make us go here at least once. The spring rolls in the sauce are so amazing, and the chicken yakisoba is also to die for! Highly recommend stopping here if you want something delicious to eat.

Ordered pickup. This is a one and done place.
First they gave me the wrong dish, ordered teriyaki fried pork cutlets but instead I was given a teriyaki chicken bowl.
Then the sushi was mostly rice and very dry. Very hard to swallow this sushi. Gas station sushi could give this place a run for their money.
Would not recommend.

DO NOT EAT HERE. 20 bucks for overcooked noodles. Likr don't get me wrong the food is decent but not for the price. Even the sushi is way to expensive. I can see paying that at hibachi but it's not 16 bucks for a 7 piece tuna roll. HARD PASS

This is the second time we have eaten sushi 🍣 at Nori Ramen 🍜.
The atmosphere is pleasant and the service is good. We noticed the same writer helped us both times and that is nice. It is small enough to that you see the same people and they seem to enjoy there job. The sushi is wonderfully tasty 😋. We got different dishes both times and were not at all disappointed.
We brought our two young kids (6 & 4) with us and they loved it too. 🥰

I use to love this place and use to cone frequently awhile back. However the place has went down hill. The place had a bad smell to it. It smelled like dirty dish water and when we ordered hot tea there were lipstick stains on BOTH cups. The service was ok. Our server took the tea off the bill. The food itself wasn't great. Super sweet on the teriyaki chicken and the ramen was average. Both definitely wasn't worth the price. Definitely won't be coming back.

Ramen was just ok and reasonably priced. The waitress isn't working for tips, she didn't check on us or refill drinks. Specials were from Halloween. The sushi was +~$5 from places in the area and I'm not sure why. The rice was mushy and crunchy and broken. My sushi roll wasn't cold. My teenager wouldn't even take his leftovers home and he eats the .30 packages of ramen.

The food and service has gone down hill, this is where I first met my wife here back in 2018 and we come here at least once a month. The last time we went was a few weeks ago and we were assigned a table instead of finding our own table to sit at and then my pregnant wife and I noticed half the Siracha Sauce bottles were bad they had a yellow/greyish color and we decided to leave. Noris you guys have a lot of work to do my friend

This restaurant is the worst sushi restaurant I have been to in years. The portions are very small the prices are outrageous. The quality of fish is garbage. And what's further more is they treat their employees horrible.

For starters the sushi is way over priced for being so awful. I've had better sushi from Smiths. Food in general is terrible here. Would not recommend this place at all. Sushi King down the road is like a 5 star restaurant compared to this place. This place gave my son Food poisoning.

Went there today fo lunch and one of the soy sauces had a small cockroach in it. We told the waiterand she just said "oh sorry," like if it was no big deal, and then brought us a new soy sauce, she was totally unbothered by it and didn't even offer to give a discount, or maybe some free dessert.

Went in to enjoy some Ramen, Rice, Teriyaki Chicken and Broccoli. The veggies were cold the Teriyaki portion wasn't even 4oz and it took a really long time to get out food. I saw them microwave my broccoli to steam and the ramen can be compared to store bought Ramen. Very disappointed. Definitely not worth the money spent. I just would go somewhere else if you're reading this. The staff seemed annoyed or not present.

I've been here several times a long time ago, and just recently, i went back. I left extremely disappointed. their prices went up, but the quality went down. We had to ask for refills on our water, and the waitress was rarely interacting with us. we spent 6 bucks on the mango mochi, but it was just walmart mochi that you can pay 2 bucks for triple the amount. our sushi was grey and mostly rice. I hate to sound like a Karen, but it was really that bad

Customer service was great and had a really good atmosphere, the only issue we had was the pricing being more on the high end for the small proportions. If you can look past price then I’d highly suggest this place

The sushi was not good at all. I try not to leave poor reviews, but this was egregiously bad. The fish wasn’t fresh in my salmon rolls, and the amount of fish in each roll was highly variable; however, most of the rolls were 85% rice, and it’s not good tasting sushi rice. They gave me a pea-sized dab of wasabi for four rolls.

As I mentioned to my family that the sushi chef had there hair hanging down their face, the waitress brought out our sushi. Low and behold a long hair right across the plate. We advised the waitress that there was a hair in our food and she proceeded to stretch across the table poked her fingers into the food, pulling the hair out and said "there you go". That's when we payed for our drinks and walked out. No manager on sight. Prices are way more then other places in the area. 06/15/2024

Beats other ramen out there! We tried 3 varieties of noodle soups here and the flavor is there for sure. Some other "ramen" restaurants we've tried taste like the broth has been thrown together at the last minute. Also the pan fried noodles are so yummy as well as the tempura shrimp and gyoza. Nice wait staff as well - very pleasant atmosphere with tasty food.

If I could give zero stars I would. First time going, there was a cockroach in our basket of seasonings , the prices are ridiculous for ramen, it’s definitely not that great… when I told the waitress about the cockroach, they said they had an infestation down the road and only took off our sushi , she said she would take off one ramen. And didnt. Not worth 62$ there are better sushi and ramen places and cleaner options. I didn’t tip because of the service wasn’t that great. Won’t be going back.

I don't normally leave reviews, especially like this, however, the sushi I ordered was making me sick and when I tried to let the chef know, she came out herself and basically yelled at me. I never once said that it wasn't fresh, I never said it was smelling bad, I only said it was making *me* sick, specifically and asked if we could comp JUST the sushi as I was only able to eat one piece of the roll. No, she came out and talked over me, yelled at me, and basically told me I don't know what I'm talking about. I was being polite, I never once raised my voice, nor did i use any vulgar language and she treated me horribly for no reason.

The ramen seems like it came from those $2 store packages, dressed up with canned corn/bamboo shoots, a roughly peeled egg, and two thin slices of pork. Everything was on the expensive side. Only a handful of people there, with one server. However, he did his best and was friendly.

I've given this place two chances and both times it was awful. Not sure how it's still open. The first time I went, nobody came to our table for 20 minutes, and then we ordered water and waited another 10 minutes and then finally just walked out. We were one of maybe 3 tables in the entire place. The second time I went, I went alone for lunch. I was the only one there. The sushi wasn't good at all and I felt really sick that night. I can only hope their ramen is better than their sushi. Would not return under any circumstances.

Wish I’d read reviews before I got here. I’ve eaten at many Sushi places throughout the country and this is by far the worst. They charge $3.50 for miso which is generally offered with the meal. Not to mention the flavour was far different than most. Sushi was way over priced - $13.99 for Spivey salmon roll and 8.99 for Nigiri Tuna🍣 do yourself a favor and go somewhere else for sushi craving ! Not sure where the 4.1 rating came from. What did I miss ???

Service has really gone downhill here, and it's really disappointing. We loved coming here as a family. The iced tea tastes like tap water. I'm glad I stopped by. I didn't think NM had restaurants that served authentic ramen. The pork ramen was really good and exactly what I hoped it would be. My sushi wasn't bad but I just wasn't feeling it. Used to sushi from Smiths and Albertsons. Overall it's a nice vibe and good ramen.

Service is terrible!!! Looking at menu, waitress wants to take my order. Started with miso soup. VERY watered down. Eating soup, still looking at menu, get a text. Waitress wants to take my order while I am answering text. She finally waited until I pushed the menu away and set my phone down. Thank you! You don't need to repeatedly ask for an order when I am looking at the menu! Asked for vegetable tempura while pointing to the one under bento box. She started to walk away, then turned and asked if I wanted the bento box. I was pointing to that and not the appetizer, so ummm, yes. Waiting for my food and watched waitress carry four drinks to another table. One drink in each hand, and two held against her chest with her arm. The rims were touching her shirt. Gross! Meal came... Lettuce had many brown spots and no dressing. Tempura had a drizzle of something over it. No dipping sauce. Only 5 pieces of tempura when appetizer has 10. Showed my salad to sushi chef and asked for dipping sauce. Waitress brought plate back with same brown lettuce, this time with dressing. Tempura was very bland. Egg rolls, so-so. Best thing on the plate was the rice. Waitress proceeded to ignore me and my empty glass of water. She finally flew by and placed the check on the table.
Definitely not a good experience, not good food, terrible service! Certainty not worth the $23 I spent.
No manager to be found. Owner will be getting a call. Nori, you have lost a long-time customer as well as anyone who will listen to my experience!

The food sounded prepared with a microwave going off in the back. The hostess was also the waitress and buser, and it seemed a bit much as she also rolled sushi that was less than mediocre. We were charged for the carry out container, this place could use a major face lift with handwritten signs and dirty condiments on the table. Would not recommend at all.

Not being from town I was looking for some good ramen and this place got recommended. I would advise you to not get ramen here. I don't normally give one star unless it's bad. When you go to a sushi restaurant/food venue, you expect more less genuine seafood. I ordered Salmon Sushi. I got 90 % rice, quarter square inch cubbed salmon, and avacado. Usually, I will get a layer of salmon on top of my sushi. My son ordered Spicy Salmon sushi and got canned sushi. If our dishes would be around 10 dollars a plate, that would be understandable, not eighteen dollars each plate for no seafood.

Excellent teriyaki chicken bowl! The tasty sweetness of honey doesn't over take the other flavors. Good rice to chicken ration. The bowl isn't too big, I thought it was plenty big - I actually didn't finish it all. I also enjoyed the miso soup 😊 it's always delicious and hot! They offer different alcoholic drinks including Heineken, sake, other beer brands. They also have tasty deserts such as tea ice cream! My boy friend loves the sushi!! 🍣 All the food we've eaten had fresh ingredients. The staff is super friendly and attentive and it's not expensive in my opinion. The place itself is nice and updated, they have a couple of TVs going and a bar area for seating. I'd recommend this place! You can phone in your order, they also have door dash available. ** Update: I've been ordering through door dash and have seen a significant price difference. For example, the miso soup on their website is $2.50, on door dash $4.59. coconut shrimp 5 piece on door dash $13.99, on their website 6 piece coconut shrimp $9.99. ** Update March 2023 the spider roll was delicious! 😋 The Jasmine fried rice was super good but it needed more egg and maybe some veggies. It only had onion and a little bit of chicken. 🍚

I like to try our different places so we went here recently. Will not be going back. There was only one host/server who was managing all the take out orders, phone calls, and all the tables. We sat down and waited about 10 minutes. Another party came in, sat down and the waitress went right to them with menus. Still none for us. Another pair came in a few minutes later. After a couple minutes waitress takes menus to them and asks about drinks. They were sitting right next to us so I got her attention...she said " i'll be right with you" (nevermind we were here first before these 2 other parties 😑). about 20 minutes had passed. Finally she came back with menus. More time had passed and the party of 3 that came in after us walked out as well as a couple seated behind us, I guess they didn't want to deal with this. I am a patient person and clearly they are severely understaffed so we stayed. I really felt for the waitress trying to manage it all. BUT the food didn't improve the situation. I ordered seafood miso Ramen and my husband ordered shrimp yakisoba. Neither was good. Both had strange flavors, like off, the shrimp were tough, and neither of us finished our dishes or wanted to take the rest home (and we always finish or take home). To make it worse, both of us had stomach issues shortly after. And what is even worse is that it is not cheap! Way overpriced. Not worth the price at all. Overall, very poor experience and I cannot recommend at all.

We used to love this place but the service has just gone downhill completely. Our waitress gave us our menus and then immediately asked if we knew what we wanted to eat. She came back with our drinks and when we ordered an appetiser and said we needed another minute to look at entrees and sushi, she asked us if we wanted her to come back in about ten minutes to order. What??? After our food arrived, the service completely vanished. Our waitress prioritised answering the phone over customers who were actually in the restaurant. We waited ten minutes for a single serving of sauce, got refills on our water only once during the whole evening and we had to call her from across the room for that. Eventually we had to just go up to the counter because we waited another 15 minutes for the check without getting it. The food was good as always, but the staff need to do something. I guess we’ll just order through DoorDash from now (if we go back) on since takeout orders are clearly prioritised. So disappointing.

Chef nailed the Jalepeno appetizers, the chicken over steamed Broccoli was good too, but the Chef took a long time to prepare the Miso seafood soup. The bus-boy had sagging pants which was kind of offensive, but he was very polite and good at his job. I think with more experience the waitress and busser will be even better. They have several flavors of beer, but not much selection of wine, only Plum wine, bummer. A bag was supplied for our take home container.

Food was pretty good, fair potions and price. What was NOT good was the service. The young man had two tables (the only two in the entire restaurant) dropped our check ($61) I left cash on the table ($74) and left unhurried. He chased me into the parking lot and screamed "did you pay me???" Told him to check the table and confirm. Two tables. TWO and you couldn't glance over to check for payment and just assume we walked out? Good grapes. I should have asked for my change.

I would love to leave zero stars, but google doesnt allow that.
We try to spend money locally and used to love eating here at Nori, so for my birthday lunch at work I once again chose Nori. We placed a very large order expecting the same great customer service and same great food and every one of us in the office were excited! Well that all changed with a phone call from one of the staff at Nori. Our lunch break is at noon and Nori opens at 11 so we asked if the order could be ready for pickup by 1145 giving the restaurant plenty of time to prepare and us plenty of time to get the food back to the office in time for lunch.
Staff member M.Dixon called and told us that although their sushi chef is scheduled at 11am, he "always shows up late" and that our order would be ready "maybe by 1215 or 1230 hopefully if he shows up" this creates a big problem because by the time the food got back we wouldn't have time to eat. The gentleman didn't offer any kind of solution or ask if that was OK, he just very matter of factly told us we couldn't have our order when we needed it. Left with no choice I called and spoke to him again and told him if that was the case we would have no choice but to cancel and get food elsewhere. He said Ok and I asked if there was anything else I needed to do to cancel the order or to help make it any easier to show no hard feelings and he rudely replied, "well it says cancelled, so..." and with that our history with Nori comes to a very unfortunate end. We will not be dining here nor recommending nori any longer. Hopefully they can make the changes necessary to once again become the wonderful place we used to love coming to for delicious food and wonderful customer service, but until those changes are made, we will not be coming back to Nori

Hands down the worst Japanese restaurant in Albuquerque/Rio Rancho. They should not serve Japanese food at all. We ordered the Green Chile Roll, deep fried tofu (Agedashi) and the Curry Tonkatsu. They gave us extra Miso soup but it was so diluted it was like drinking water with a spoon. The NM Roll was decent but nothing to rave about. The deep fried tofu was bleh, not served like usual Japanese restaurants with the broth and grated radish; instead with the Thai sweet chili sauce! The real shocker was the Japanese Curry Tonkatsu with Rice. When it came to the table, we all looked at each other and made a face. It looked like throw up on a bed of breaded fried pork. The curry has a greenish tone and a weird consistency; instead of the usual deep, dark brown. We immediately had the server have the cook bring another serving without the curry. Then he proceeds to tell us that’s his most “trouble” dish. We paid and left; vowed never to return. Nori should be shut down. What a disgrace to Japanese cuisine!

I love the food, but today when I called in an order as soon as they opened at 11 am, the gentleman on the phone was so nice and took the order, but then someone in the background (I'm assuming manager or owner) started yelling and berating him with profanities and threats and asking why he is taking orders without the chef here? He was so rude and disrespectful to this employee and made comments like "are you going to cook it yourself? You don't know who you're dealing with (a clear threat)." My questions is why isn't your chef there (this is not the first time the chef has not been there at opening) and why are you placing blame on the employee doing his job when the establishment itself is open yet consistently not ready for customers at opening? I worried posting this because I didn't want the employee to get in trouble for not muting, but clearly the employee is not to blame! This manager/owner was completely out of line. I will not be supporting this business in the future. I do not condone this type of employee treatment

Fine if you're okay with not getting what you ordered, or if you're a big fan of cross contamination. They are constantly packing different kinds of sushi together, meat shoved against vegetable, peanuts just all over. What's the point in having options for a variety of diets if you're going to ruin them by smashing them haphazardly into one box? They don't seem to know what they even sell either, as they seem to be convinced that kotatsu ramen and katsudon rice are the exact same dish, since ordering one got me the other. Absolutely will not order again, if they're this careless with what they send out I don't even want to think about how careless they must be in the kitchen.

This was our first time here. We called in an order. The guy was friendly on the phone. He told us it would be ready in 25 minutes. We showed up 25 minutes after our phone call ended. The food still wasn't ready. We ordered a poki bowl and several other items, including vegetable tempura. After we arrived we saw who I can only assume was the sushi chef on a break and when he finally came back he made the poki bowl. I ordered the tonkatsu ramen and asked for it to be spicy. When we finally got our order, after 45 minutes, the ramen had just a bunch of dry chile powder dumped on top. Our tempura had already gotten cold and the grease was coagulated. The chicken fried rice was seasoned good but the eggs were left in huge chunks. The flavor of the food was decent so I can't give less than 3 stars. They should definitely work on how to time everything properly and give customers true ready times.

The atmosphere was nice and the service was great. However, the fish and rice quality in the nigiri and sashimi was almost inedible. The udon was decent but nothing to write home about. Lastly, the dinner prices are insanely high even for sushi.

Wow this was hands down the WORST Japanese Curry I've ever had. So disappointing. Had the consistency of mashed potatoes. They use the wrong kind of Pork instead of using a stew cutlet. The Curry has 0 seasoning. It was neither spicy nor sweet. I had to take it home and add my own garlic, soy sauce, salt, pepper, apple, coconut milk, honey which thankfully I have because I've been making my own Japanese Curry for years now. I will unfortunately not be ordering that again.

Hands down the WORST miso soup I've ever had. Sushi was warm. Poorly rolled, strangely, unevenly sliced.Ordered spicy tuna roll(added avocado) and salmon roll,2 miso soups $40+ . Threw it all in the trash.

Nice sushi restaurant find in Rio Rancho. The sushi was quite good and the prices reasonable. Thank you!

Good, fresh sushi. Not the biggest selection of rolls, but very well made. Generous slices on the Nigri.

Very tasty, clean, and great service. We were extremely pleased to find they had takoyaki, which we've been looking for in various sushi places around town. The only thing that I could have asked for was more roll options. To be fair, we didn't ask if creating our own rolls was an option. We would definitely go back

Very overpriced for what you get. Small portion of ramen, with a broth that lacked flavor and pale pork that was extremely bland and dry with a really overcooked hardboiled egg on top. The sushi was about average.

This is an excellent little ramen shop! Every time I visit my friend in Albuquerque we come here at least once (it's his favorite). It's pretty small and cozy, so expect slower service if they're super busy, but normally they're fairly slow and the service is both great and fast. I think we have the same server almost every time and he's great. I always order the Tonkotsu (pork bone broth ramen bowl) and am never disappointed. The portions are more than enough. Their gyoza is great too. Try the plum saki if you get the chance!

Absolutely awful experience-will not return-
After waiting over an hour with a six year old and a 3 year old that were starving-our order was brought out and given to the WRONG TABLE!
When we finally got our food it was ice cold and tasteless-not once were we asked if we wanted drink refills-needed anything-just"are you ready for your check"-then to make matters worse we were charged for boxes to take our gross food home! Never again-If you want really good thai food with lots of taste and good service-take yourself to Thai Kitchen-they care about you and your desires-

Tonkotsu Ramen was good, but was served a little too cool. Yellowtail Nigiri was as tasty and fresh as you can expect in a land-locked state.

We ordered the chicken teriyaki and the seafood Ramen. Very disappointed, cheap chicken with the skin still on, cheap frozen vegetables, gross imitation crab, cheap noodles. Would not recommend to anyone

The Tontasku Ramen was fairly good. I like that the restaurant is relatively close to my home (The Ramen place that I enjoy more is further away). It's good when I don't want to drive too far. It was busy when I went so there was a bit of a wait.
