We’ve gone to kabuki a few times and the food is okay however I’ve noticed the few times we’ve went a few things that don’t sit well with me ! I’ve always been taught to leave a generous tip 20 percent and up when we went yesterday I left 30 percent however the servers and the host are very rude , they have attitudes and I’ve witnessed them hassle other customers for tip if they think you didn’t leave one or left to little now they demand the chef gets tipped too (which we usually do in cash) and they aren’t even grateful the lady handed me my receipt back and walked away without a thank you every single time I have gone they have done this to another party and it doesn’t sit well with me the service , the rudeness

We made a reservation for a Christmas work party at 6:30pm on a Friday night and to say we were completely rushed the entire time was an understatement. The food was very good, no complaints at all with that. Where it all changed was with the servers and the way we were completely rushed out of there the entire night. It was actually uncomfortable. There was a point where they were trying to take our plates before we were finished eating, like super early into us eating our meal. Mind you there were opens tables, it was not a busy night and no wait. Unfortunately due to that, I won’t come back to this location.

if you dont care about customer service and just want to eat, then kabuki is the place for you! i hope this helps another customer before dining there

i intended to order nabeyaki udon (a soup dish) but the server was moving too fast and listening too slow so when she repeated back my order to me all i heard was udon, long story short i didnt get my soup udon instead i got yaki udon. they refused to take it off the bill bc “that was what i ordered”

she also slammed each plate down as they came (and this was prior to me saying something about the wrong dish)

so i suggest pointing to your menu item to the server when ordering so that everyone is on the same page, also i went to speak to a manager and that was pointless, the language barrier is hard.

the people on the hibachi side seemed to be happy enjoying their meals, maybe thats where we went wrong!

Stopped by Kabuki when my wife was craving some sushi, Kabuki was fantastic. They have some great lunch specials and some of the best sesame chicken around. Perfect for a date with it's modern atmosphere and great service and you won't regret stopping by.

My first time to eat in this resto. The interior layout is very spacious. However they need to change the brand of their toilet paper. It’s too thin and breaks easily. For Sashimi Regular, the fish was fresh and yummy even the plating is excellent. The lambhorgini roll was also delicious and worth your money. We also loved their salad and their own salad dressing.

This is a perfectly good restaurant and has reasonable quality food service and prices. But it is nothing fancy or spectacular.

Rice noodles were excellent, udon noodles were a miss. Sushi deluxe was good but presentation was simple.

I literally had the worst experience at this place today. Me and my coworker came here after work and we wanted our own table. The lady with the staring problem told us we have to sit with people that we didn’t even know because the chef was going to be at one table. Ok cool the whole time we were eating and by the way the food was very good but the lady with the staring problem kept looking at us the whole time we were sitting down eating. She said something to our waiter then the waiter came over and asked us did we want a to go box and I looked at my coworker like is she talking to you because I’m clearly still eating. Like why are you rushing me to leave. Then the other people that was sitting at the table with us said why she keep staring at us so at this point I said something. Her excuse was that is where she supposed to stand ok but you don’t have to keep looking at us. It was very disrespectful and of course I said something to the manager and of course he had the dumb look on his face and didn’t even apologize for her smart mouth or nothing. They are rude point blank period and kept talking in their language and I knew they was talking about us because they kept looking at us. I was scared to go the darn bathroom because i thought somebody was going to come in there and chop me up with their hibachi knives and serve me on the table. I will never in my life step foot in that place again. EVER i never been to a restaurant where somebody just stares at you the whole time your eating smh crazy

The waitress was so rude for no reason I had to remind her for our drinks every time we would try to tell her what we wanted she cut us off. Even after we went to pay she demanded a tip and raised her voice at me and my friend for not tipping and said to us we’re not allow to come back here I think that’s just unprofessional and she also spilled soy sauce on my friends bag and didn’t apologize at all. I would not recommend going to that place at all

First, when you walk in the door glass window are gross and not cleaned. You walk in your are greeted with attitude and not pleasant. The restaurant is filthy from every corner - can’t imagine the kitchen.🤮 The food was gross and the waiter was rude af - the soup was thrown to us and spilled on us. SO UNPROFESSIONAL AND DISGUSTING. As a business you need to make sure your customer is happy + a clean atomsphere and with the way Kabuki is doing it, it’s going to close down. Don’t waste your time.

My 1st time here as it was recommended by someone and I hesitated at 1st when I pulled around to park in the back near the Cheesecake factory side and it smelled horrible 😑 😫. I saw 2 workers on their smoke break watching videos on their cell phones sitting on the curb and smoking . I prayed 🙏 that they were not going to be making my food or at least wash their hands before my food was made.

I was greeted with a typical " hello how are you ,how many ?"then escorted to a booth. It was around 9 pm and not crowded,but the photos on their menu are not all photos of food they make! I asked for the salad in the photo and she said" no we don't make that!" I asked for something else ,same answer.
I just ordered a Shirley temple and sushi 🍣 without asparagus.
The sushi had no flavor ,even Wegmans take out sushi is better. I didn't want anything else and left. Should have read the 3.9 out of 5 reviews instead 😒

A fun, family place that serves delicious food. While the restaurant is rather spacious, seating for the Hibachi style cooking can be rather tight. You may end up sitting elbow to elbow with strangers. (Literally) If that is an issue, they have dining room seating where you can still order the Hibachi menu. The rooms are wheelchair accessible but once again the Hibachi area is close. The staff is great! There is plenty of Free Parking but pick your time wisely because it fills up quickly. (Parking is within the Mall parking) They accept cash and cards. Have a great time!

I dined at this establishment on Saturday April 27,2024 for dinner.
The staff was terrible and the food was worse than that.
To start, the silverware was smeared with stains from the previous user.
The host twisted our arms into eating in the dining room because it was a 25 minute wait. Had I known that the noodles and rice were cooked hours before I would never have done it.
I guess it was near the end of the night at they knew they needed to get rid of excess food and charge patrons so that they do not have a loss.
I ordered filet and scallops as my protein this, was also terribly over cooked.
The server finally saw that I was trying to get her attention. She got the manager. When I asked that the meal be removed from my bill and I showed him why.
The flat scallops and curled shrimp were clearly overcooked however the manager looked at it as nothing was wrong. He said he would take it off of my bill but he was going to charge me for the salad that I ate.

Then they never came back with my bill. We sat and waited and waited. We had a party of 7 so tip was automatically included.

The fact that management had no problem with any of this is just unacceptable.

MY MONEY IS BETTER SPENT WHERE MANAGEMENT IS ACCOUNTABLE AND ATTEMPTS TO FIX A WRONG KABUCKU IN CHERRY HILL NJ IS NOT THAT PLACE.

Went out with a party of 7 for my sisters birthday. We were rushed the whole time. The waitress brought us our salads and soups and the chef came out and cooked. He didn’t give us a show, didn’t talk to us, it was the most bland hibachi experience I’ve ever had. I was still eating my salad and the waitress took it from me before I was done and I said ‘excuse me I wasn’t finished with that’ looked at me and completely ignored me! The food was mid. Portion sizes sucked, Waitress sucked, chef sucked. Save your money and go somewhere else.

I distinctly asked for vegan entree which was "Veg Pad Thai"
They put egg in the Pad Thai then remade it, and it came out looking like slop with no lime or Cilantro
Gave it back to waitress! Then they tried to charge me for miso soup and salad
This place is not good for Vegans however they advertise vegan options.

I always order out and the food is decent, consistent in taste for the most part. The issue is definitely portions though. I’ve ordered a few times and normally the hibachi whichever meat you choose comes with like 3-4 shrimp also, I only received 2 shrimp. Plus my mom got the steamed chicken and the chicken portion were almost non-existent. It’s disappointing, I understand inflation and prices have increased BUT that doesn’t mean reduce the amount of food we are still PAYING for. Hardworking money coming from both ways. Come on

A friend and I took a little break from mommy time to get a bite to eat Thursday evening. We weren’t dressed to impress as I said it was a small break and the immediate attitude toward us was terrible. Still we ignored, was seated and was skipped over multiple times by the waiter who would look our way and zoom by. The host had to eventually take our order after 20 mins! The food was great in all aspects. I wanted to try a new sushi which was good but not for my taste. I expressed this to a new waitress, as our original never came back, and the manager who then became very rude and yelled about losing money. I still paid my full bill and left a tip because though we looked ghetto to them in a sense, we were really just two tired mothers trying to have a good meal. Food was great service was HORRIBLE. I was just there with my family and none of us enjoy the foods. First they seat us on a very strong smell of gas and we have to move to another table. Secondly, the waitress refuse to give us hot sauce and says she ran out but we see it on the shelve and she was very rude. Thirtly, the rice was very salty we couldn't eat do we end of wasting $200 for the table of 4. Lastly, we just paid the bill and plan to tip with cash. We went there on a date night in January. The host was busy playing on his phone and didn't notice us until a server came by and told him to look up.

Our server was very brusk to the point of rudeness

The food was bland or just plain bad. For appetizers we got the Chicken Maki and Tuna Tar Tar. I will say the tuna was actually quite good, so maybe their sushi is all right, but the chicken Maki was inedible (they did a Maki roll with thin slices chicken around the outside. Chicken was bone dry and it was stuffed so full of shaved carrot it overpowered everything. Just thoroughly unpleasant).

For entree I got the beef Udon and my boyfriend got the tempura entree. His tempura was ok, they at least were able to fry it correctly, but my Udon was completely bland. I ended up only eating a bit at the restaurant and ended up re-frying my leftovers at home with stir-fry sauce to give it some flavor.

If you're looking for a good night out, look somewhere else. This place isn't worth it

A colleague of mine recommended Kabuki Japanese Cuisine. I live in the area and had never tried this establishment, so I went for lunch one day alone. I was greeted by two hostesses, and I asked if I could sit at a booth in the very back (I have back issues and I find booths to be more comfortable). The hostess was rude and immediately said "no" and rushed to seat me at a table on the left side of the restaurant. I was then rushed to order.
I am not certain why - as the place barely had diners. About five minutes later - a Caucasian couple arrives and they are seated at the booth that I requested. I stopped the young lady who sat me and inquired why I could not sit at the booth, she started speaking in her language to two other waitresses, and rolled her eyes. Another waitress came over and asked if I would like to move to a booth. If you would like to treated unfairly, be talked about in another language, given unsatisfactory service, and repeatedly rushed to order dine here - otherwise I would highly recommend that you try another restaurant. There are way to many decent ones in the area to accept this type of service. The food was subpar at best, due to the service I will never return!

my family and i went here for my birthday dinner, from the moment we walked in to the moment we walked out we were rushed so bad, the lady sat us down we didn’t even open the menus yet and she goes “are you ready to order yet”, then as we are eating and trying to finish they kept coming over and asking if we were done, no we weren’t done but we packed up our food to leave because we felt like we were being an inconvenience for them, then my nephew wanted ice cream (he is 1 almost 2) so we asked and she said we aren’t doing dessert tonight, he started crying, then we asked if we could get it to go because we know they have it and she was so rude and said no. and not to mention the bill was thrown at my mom to pay quickly when she wasn’t even done her meal and had a 4 month old in her hand. staff needs an attitude check. food was great though sucks the servers ruin it.

Save your money and pay a little more at another hibachi spot. For starters, the service was absolute trash. I visited with my two kids and needed high chairs. The manager walked us to the hibachi station and pointed to the high chairs, expecting us to pull them out ourselves. Then, they falsely advertise the portion for lunch/ dinner to get you to pay more for a dinner portion. The different was two pieces of shrimp for $8 more. Everything else was literally the same. The staff will go back and forth with you instead of being empathetic. I asked to speak to the manager who ended up being the same guy in the beginning with the terrible attitude and acting like he didn’t want to pull the high chairs out for me. Just a terrible experience altogether. The food wasn’t even seasoned well. The chicken was super tough. Save your money and go elsewhere.

My daughter and her 4 friends went here tonight. They said the service was horrible, and the server was rude. Then when their bill came an extra $25 dollar was added on to their check. When asked why they told them it was a service fee because they were a party of 5. That’s ridiculous and something that should have been disclosed before they sat down to eat. Our family dined here tonight to celebrate a 11yr olds birthday. We were a party of seven with 6:30 reservations. We arrived on time and were seated quickly. The restaurant was busy and all hibachi tables were mostly full. For the first 30 minutes we were ignored, then are drink order was taken. Once again we just waiting. At one point I approached a man sitting at the hostess station and reminded him that it is going on 8:00 and are reservations were for 6:30, he said they were short handed. I ask why they took our reservation in the first place if they couldn’t accommodate us, he didn’t really seem to care. Almost two hours later they finally cooked our meal. I have never been to a hibachi style restaurant with kids with a boring cook. The food was fine, but wasn’t worth the wait. We brought our own birthday cake and had to cut it ourselves. Then they had the audacity to add a 18% gratuity to our check, which should have been a discount after our poor service and ridiculously long wait. Before leaving I visited the restroom which was disgusting, all I can say is live and learn NEVER AGAIN !

I recently dined at Kabuki Restaurant and had a pleasant experience overall. Despite the lack of alcohol service, the food was delicious and the prices were fair. The ambiance was clean and inviting. However, our waitress seemed a bit distant and not very personable, simply going through the motions. Nonetheless, the lunch special I ordered was a great deal, providing ample portions of Miso soup, salad, rice, Goysia dumplings, the main course, and three California rolls, all for just $16. I'm definitely considering going back to try their sushi next time. It's a spot worth checking out if you're looking for a satisfying meal without breaking the bank.

This was my second time coming here and will be my last. We got sour noodles at the hibachi. Yes, the noodles were SPOILED! My mom and I did not eat it but my husband did bc he started eating before we did. My husband is not one to use public bathrooms, but immediately after eating he had to go. Then before we could get to the car, he had to run into Cheesecake Factory to use the bathroom again. Aside from that, they rush the hell out of you at this place. Rush to order, rush to eat and rush to leave. They give you the bill before you are finish eating. And no customer service, literally, NONE. Not to mention, overpriced!! I’m literally on my way home from this place and writing this review. It was bad. Save yourself the nightmare and don’t eat here. Don’t let the location and the outside ambience of this restaurant fool you!

Our family has been coming for years. Use to love it! Tonight we had hibachi. The prices went up (understandable), but the quantity and quality went way down. The food was terrible - tasteless. Service was quick to turn the table over and the cook said maybe two words to us. No performance. If you're going to charge this amount, at least make the food taste good. Very disappointing. Won't be returning any time soon.

She made it seem like I was walking out without paying and it was so embarrassing. Let me start off with saying Don't Go During Their Busy Hours...if you go at all! My family and I went for the Habichi on 2/4-for my birthday. We were rushed to order from drinks to our meals. The waitress flat out told us that the sooner we order the faster we get can get the rest of the guests seated. 2 of my family members got up to use the restroom towards the end of our meal-we weren't finished yet-and they took their chairs away! Absolutely ridiculous! I hate that the food was good because the service was awful! Well the hibachi chef wasn't but everyone else was!

So this was our first time. We use to dine at Benihana’s but it has changed and is no longer our choice of hibachi. It’s sad because we use to frequent there for years………..!

The ambience at Kabuki’s was very attractive. Restaurant looked clean in the entry way and dining areas. We were seated and soon afterwards - we were given our beverages - and then our soup (very peppery) and salad. Then our order was taken. Soon thereafter, our main course was started from the chef.

The tricks he performs before he starts cooking is no comparison to Benihanas. No big deal though.

He was not too cordial. At the end - he had a rude disposition when one of the ladies asked for more sauce. That made her feel disappointed. I felt bad for her.

I don’t think I’ll be returning because truthfully - the meal was not that good. I paid over $90 for two.

We went for lunch. We were the only ones there and they seemed a bit aggravated that we came in. We got hibachi! It was pretty good. The white sauce (usually a yum-yum sauce) was EXTREMELY sweet and that was the only sauce offered. We had to ask for chopsticks, which I found a bit odd. Most places give them to you. It was my daughter’s 16th birthday, so I wish it was more memorable. I bet it would have been better at night with more people.

The service was outstanding, the staff work so well together. You see them jumping in to help when needed, without being asked.

The food was delicious, I got a bi bip bop (sp?), With Shasimi (sp?) And my husband got 3 sushi rolls. The fish was extremely fresh, melted in your mouth fresh.

The only challenge was the rice portion of my dinner, was so temperature hot. If comes in a bowl that actually cookea the rice , vegetables, egg ect. It was the bowl that was so hot that I was not able to eat very much. The bites I did take was so delicious, you just have to have a lot of time set aside to eat this dish.

This is the worst hibachi I had ever in my entire life. Not only was the food disgusting, the woman server was rude from the moment my group came in.

The plates and utensils were not clean, and when I sipped the clear soup, it tasted like dish water. When we asked for straws for our drinks, the straws already had the wrapping off and the server threw them
on the table which is unsanitary. We asked for new straws and the rude server did the same threw them on the table again with no wrapping. The party that sat adjacent to us had a member that was allergic to shrimp and they told the server and cook and they were totally disregarded which I didn’t think was professional.

When it came to the food, I ordered Hibachi combination salmon and filet. The filet was the only edible thing on my plate. The lo mein was like ángel hair noodles which I’ve never seen before. As soon as the chef put the food on my plate, it was lukewarm. How is this possible when it just came off the grill? The fried rice, vegetables, and salmon tasted like it was sitting out for a while and did not taste fresh at all. What made me even more frustrated is this place is slightly more expensive then neighboring hibachi restaurants and not half as good.

Avoid this place at all cost. If you want excellent hibachi at a more reasonable price, I highly recommend Osaka in Collingswood.
