Classy, contemporary pick serving Edomae-style sushi from seafood pieces selected by the chef.
Such an awesome place!!! I had a such wonderful night here. This is the best sushi place I have ever tried so far in the states, and compared to lots of sushi restaurants in Japan, this is a really nice one. I will come back when I am in Vegas. A must try place, the chefs are awesome and also the servers there as well. They are so lovely and sweet. Thanks for the amazing food and service!

Kabuto is the 2nd best omakase dinner I’ve ever had in my life, next to one I had in Tsukiji fish market in Tokyo, straight from the source. Service was amazing. We went for New Year’s Eve and had the 8-course meal and left so disgustingly full, but in a good way. It could’ve been the bottle of yuzu sake too, which we embarrassingly finished between my wife and I. So refreshing.. brought us back to our happenstance sake tasting in Yamashita park.
The highlight of the meal for me was the jabara toro, which is even fattier than otoro. All the nigiri tasted so good and were not the usual nigiri that you would be served at an all you can eat sushi restaurant, which is really nice. The appetizers had so many layers of flavors to them. I’m not usually a dessert person, but even after 7 courses, one course being 12 pieces of nigiri, I finished my dessert, all 3 of them.
I would absolutely recommend Kabuto to anyone looking for a top tier omakase dinner.

Service was amazing, they tell you about each sake (if you get the pairing) and menu item so you can really understand what you are getting. I would recommend this to anyone in the area that has the money!

This omakase establishment is the best value in Las Vegas when considering price vs. quality. High quality at a reasonable price. I’ve been four times and am always very happy with the seasonal menu changes.
I recommend ordering the shorter omakase option and then adding on what you like or would like to try.

Food:
As a chef 7/10
As a non chef 9/10
Course #1 7/10
Blue Fin Sashimi - caviar does nothing, fish was very good quality.
Soba - tasted pre-cooked and a little hard. Oroshi was bland
Kani Sunomono - not enough acid, crab was ok, jelly fish too large and a little hard.
Course #2 - 7/10
Chawan Mushi - Very sweet, using the bubu are again as garnish. Scallops with beard was overcooked.
Course #3 - 9/10
Sashimi - Chu Toro fantastic, Tai was fantastic, oysters good.
Course #4 - 8/10
Miso Chilean Sea Bass - Overcooked, tasted pan fried. Sauce was good.
Course #5 - 9/10
Nigiri Plate - Solid and great quality. Aji was 10/10
Course #6 - 9/10
Nigiri Plate #2 - Great plate, can taste propane on Anago. Uni fantastic, Toro a little too much Tsuji, fish was good quality.
Course #7 - 5/10
Asari Miso Soup - Clams tasted boiled not cooked in miso. Miso tasted pre-made.
Course #8 - 8/10
Dessert - Mochi with adzuki bean was firm and not like Manju. Lychee sorbet was my favorite. Matcha cheese cake had good acid but cannot taste matcha.
Service:
Great explanation, flow from staff.
Service consistency, some times serving women first, sometimes elders first, sometimes the right side, sometimes the left side.
Not a long wait in between courses, good flow.
Ambiance: 8/10
Dry feeling, not too enveloping/inviting.
Good sound and not noisy.
Cleanliness: 8/10
Tables were spotless
Sushi bar was spotless
Kitchen had some dirty prepping
Floors a little dirty in the edges
Bathroom had food/gross spots on wall, bright green mold/mildew, need to change the soap dispenser.
Price: 6/10
Omakase $175/pp x 4pp
Drinks + Tax + Top
$1,000
Summary:
Would I go back? Maybe once a year or every 2 years. Not memorable enough to want to be a repeat customer, perceived value would be about $125-$135/pp.
If you charge Michelin prices, I expect Michelin everything.

We have always wanted to try this Omakase restaurant. We chose the 6-course option. It is not ideal to have big meal for dinner at my age. It was plenty of food to digest even with the 6-couese option. Everything was top notch and tasty. Service was great. The only complaint was the restaurant was a bit noisy for me for an Omakase experience. In terms of bang for the buck, this is definitely the one I would recommend.

Other than parking being a bit tough as the lot was shared with several other restaurants/businesses, the dining experience was incredible. From the attention to detail from the chefs, to the wait staff, everything was great. We chose to do the premium meal with the sake pairings and I cannot recommend it enough.

An exceptionally high-quality experience that makes me feel as though I'm back in Japan! We frequently visit Japan, and after returning to Vegas, we couldn’t stop craving high-quality sushi. I didn’t expect to find such an experience here.
The fish is very fresh, and the wasabi is freshly ground. The service is excellent, and the quality and proportions of the sushi can be compared to those in Japan. It’s a place worth visiting again.
The only thing I’d critique is that I wish they used real flowers in their decor 🤣. In many similar restaurants in Japan, seasonal flowers are used to express appreciation for the seasonal ingredients.

Kabuto Edomae Sushi, a relatively new Omakase restaurant, offers an intriguing and unique dining experience. Due to its limited seating, it's essential to schedule ahead of time to secure a spot. The design of the restaurant is minimalist, clean, and authentically Japanese, which sets the perfect ambiance for the meal.
The Omakase at Kabuto Edomae Sushi stands out with its unique presentation. The combination of different fish and the design of each dish, served on the cutest cups and plates, keeps you entertained throughout the meal. The taste is good, but I'm not entirely sure if it justifies the price. However, if you are looking for something exotic and want to fully embrace the Omakase culture, this restaurant is definitely worth exploring.

This dining experience was unparalleled—the best I've ever had. The food was phenomenal, the staff attentive and kind, and the overall experience exceeded expectations. We opted for the 7-course omakase menu, and every dish delighted us. For those who appreciate Japanese cuisine and raw fish, this is a must-visit. I highly recommend it to anyone seeking an upscale, multi-course dining adventure with exceptional service. We'll definitely return.

Loved this place so much. The best Japanese meal experience I have had possibly ever. The restaurant boasts incredible flavors, so many courses, all kinds of Japanese food, not just sushi, and a very serene atmosphere. Service is very attentive as well. This does of course come at a premium - our bill was over $450 without pairing (but with some a la cart sashimi) but I was happy to pay it for the experience.

Everytime I visit Las Vegas, I always go Kabuto-edomae since 2012. I am always safisfied with their quality taste and flawless service. Also, the price is reasonable compared to their quality. But I was not satisfied with Shari (sushi rice). It was very mushy, which ruined perfect combination with their high quality fish. It never happened before; I like to believe that it was just that day but poor Shari is critical to high end concept. Also, recently they raised price too steeply. It may not "affordable" as they used to be but t will be acceptable if they cook rice properly. I will try one more time and correct review if everything is okay as they used to be.

This is a fantastic experience with a truly passionate service team. The omakase is far beyond a night out but a true experience that will take you through the most decedent and lavish Japanese sushi experience ever. They offer two sets a normal for $120pp and a premium for $178pp with a sake pairing for $68pp. First if you do the pairing make sure you're ready for it to be the best compliment to food that has existed with the recommendation being spot on and the team explaining everything about each pairing during service. The place is small and seats 10 at the sushi table and two tables in the back for others. It's in a random strip mall that is packed to the brim with businesses that also seem to command customers. But Kabuto is a must for special events or just to better understand how much sushi can be elevated. You can dress casual or business casual as there is no extreme dress code, I love that it is away from the strip roughly 10 mins so you don't have to deal with any of that noise. I would skip the other places doing Omakase unless you're just in it for the view and atmosphere. While my groups dined here it appeared as many of the returning customers preferred this place as it was as good or better than being in Japan, that's objective but I would have to say the bar is extremely high. Make a reservation here to eat well and feel better!
P.S. You will not leave hungry, I was full by the 5th course with 3 more to go. The menu is different every day so your experience is unique to that day.

I was lucky to be seated at the counter opposite such highly trained and experienced chefs which makes dining here a steal if compared to japan with tastes and presentations that are comparable, at a much lower price point.
This is 1 of my best Japanese Cuisine dining experiences in the usa.
If in vegas forget dining at the strip, it’s really worth venturing out to spring mountain road to explore restaurants such as this.

This is truly an experience to be savored. I've no pictures but the presentation of every course was beautiful. My wife has talked about this spot for 8 of the 9 years we've been together.
Trust that the chefs here know what works well together. Prepare for being a bit adventurous with your food. I had 3 items that I've never tried before: jellyfish that was done up with a miso sauce and some cucumber. Texture was not all what I was expecting. Interesting. The soy soaked salmon roe was also something new, I'd have that again from this restaurant.
I'd also never had an oyster before and I fear I'll never have one as elevated as that one!
The atmosphere is simple and brilliant. I recommend sitting at the bar so that you can watch the chefs work and also chat with them a little bit while you eat.
To the owners and chefs: Thank you so much for such a great experience! It was well worth it. This was our main reason for coming to Vegas.

I don’t have the sophistication to accurately describe the experience at Kabuto-edomae. My birthday dinner here was so special. I honestly rate this the top restaurant experience I’ve ever had. Every single person in this restaurant is committed to their craft; That effort and talent radiated throughout the night. The textures, pairings, flavors led me to be perfectly satisfied without any feelings of over fullness.
This is a once in a lifetime experience that is perfect for a seasoned diner. Do not hesitate to try this incredible snapshot of Japanese cuisine.

Probably the best sushi we’ve ever had. We did the omakase with sake pairings. The experience felt rushed, which took away from a 5 star dining experience. I would also switch out the tamago with something a little more creative and flavorful. Considering the price point, I would have preferred a longer, more relaxed dining experience. But the quality of the sashimi and other menu items can’t be beat.

Don't even think twice, just reserve before someone else gets your spot. Incredible meal, one of the best I've ever had. The pairings were on point and everything was simply perfect. The service was also great along with the sake and drinks. The jellyfish is a must-try. We had the smaller of the two menus and it was plenty of food, we were very full. Great vibes, elite experience. Highly recommend.

Omakase courses are light and enough for each person. Ikura is lightly seasoned along with most of the dishes. Sashimi slices are thick and juicy, but tuna can be a bit fresher.
If you’re feeling hungry, you might wanna order additional sashimi that you like, the uni is really fresh.

Simply the best. My favorite sushi spot in the United States. The attention to detail, quality of the fish, and creative dishes is unparalleled. Wonderful and attentive service. If you're in Vegas and you're eating a high-end sushi meal on the strip, you've made a drastic mistake in not coming to Kabuto. And always make sure to save enough room to order some chef-selection nigiri ala carte after the omakase service has finished.

Price was more than worth for a high end restaurant. Servers were attentive, knowledgeable, and easy to converse with. It was a joy to watch the chefs work sitting at the sushi bar. Had the Kabuto course and it made me want to come back if I'm ever in Vegas again for the seasonal changes to the menu. Also make sure to get some Premium Marbled Tuna if they have it on their menu. Wasn't part of the course but it was my favorite piece of sashimi. I can go on but it's better if you try for yourself.
P.S. My cousin who I went with said it was his favorite dinner ever so.

Incredible experience. Service was so good. Pacing was excellent and varied based on the pace of the party. The quality of fish was amongst the best I've ever had, and was the best I've ever had for a non Coastal restaurant. Left very full but not stuffed. I will definitely be back. The nigiri course is really special. I don't like dessert but the lychee sorbet and Macha cheesecake were very balanced and a great end to an amazing meal.

Delicious meal with a serene atmosphere. We made a reservation on Resy for the 5:30 pm seating at the bar. The restaurant space is very minimalist with nice nature background sounds.
It's always a treat for the eyes to see the variety of plates and presentations. The highlight for me was the nigiri portion of the meal. All the varying textures of the fish was so fun. While it's great to taste the buttery feeling with high quality fish, it doesn't all have to be buttery. It's more interesting when the cuts can still be fantastic without being buttery. I was delighted with the jack mackerel and seaperch. The cuts I was familiar with were executed well like scallops, uni, toro and more. I thoroughly enjoyed the tofu dishes as well.
Service was top notch. Oftentimes, I didn't even notice when my hot tea was refilled as I talked to my husband. The pacing of the meal was on point. Once the first course started, I barely noticed the time fly by.
Highly recommend!!

This restaurant is located in an area just outside of Chinatown that quite frankly appears abandoned, and it was the most spectacular hole in the wall find! I've had the pleasure of enjoying multiple omakase experiences, my favorite being in New York, and Kabuto Edomae is definitely on par with them. The food was phenomenal, the chefs were a joy to interact with, and the wait staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. It was an honor to be welcomed and served by a team that are clearly masters of their craft and love what they do.

Beautifully designed interior. The staff was pleasant and and knowledgeable. The Itamae serving me was very nice and we chatted quite a bit as I was a single diner.
My only thought was the extremely large silk floral design on the back wall. It was very strange to see that type of design there. I would have loved to have seen an ikebana style design.
Will be returning again on further visits

What an excellent and intimate sushi experience! My husband booked us a reservation for our anniversary. From the moment we walked in we were pleased with the minimalist Japanese design, and we immediately noticed how quiet and non-distracting the noise level was. We were never distracted by others during our meal. The chefs are extremely professional and skilled in what they do. They knowledgeably answered our questions regarding fish and sushi-making. The wait staff can also be complimented too- extremely attentive and always nearby. Never had to call on them for anything.
The food is delish! Our favorite was the o-toro. Oh my god, amazing. We have also never enjoyed sea urchin but it was provided to us in the experience and it was surprisingly delicious! SO fresh! Everything is.
This place is tiers above other notable restaurants like Nobu, in my opinion. We have done the omakase experience there, too. Kabuto offers a more personal experience as the dining area is only a few tables and 8 stools across the chefs area.
We will absolutely be back for our next special intimate occasion.

The food and presentation were definitely 5 stars. Most sushi places serve on a white dish. They did not. The service was on point as well, describing the food and suggested order of consumption. The atmosphere was nice but not refined. The place could use some paint to cover the scuff marks on the walls and to update the bland color. For $120 per person, I was expecting more. Again, food was fabulous.

Great food and service. You get a lot of food throughout and it’s all amazing. I got to try jellyfish for the first time. I really enjoyed every course. All the ingredients seem to be of very high quality and well thought of. This even includes the soy sauce.
The service was great. When I moved my sake cup from my left to right, the server asked me if I preferred my right side and moved my water glass to the right too!!
We were there till around closing time and found out the tables were made of some special wood that needed humidifiers and some kind of polishing every day. That’s the level of quality and detail they’ve brought into the place.

Something happened to this place. Was one of Las Vegas’ best. Average experience. Similar to a $~75-100 pp type of place. Definitely overrated at this point.

Be careful when you go. The food was good, but we left feeling tricked. We did the Kabuto Omakase course. During the sashimi section of the course menu the chef told us to tell him 3 things that we each want to try the most from their options. We told the chef. The sashimi course was then given to us along with these things, and we were charged separately for them. This was during the course menu and without being told of any extra charge. Considering that our bill would’ve already been about $500 for 2 people with tip, I found it ridiculous that they were tricking us in the way that you might expect a cheap restaurant to. We will never be back.

Low quality ingredients, sloppy technique, poor organization. Adding quantity does not compensate for the lack of care and refinement.
Advice for the kitchen, don't just stare at customers who eat at the bar and maybe try to act like you were actually cooking fresh food.

Meticulous, beautifully crafted meals, featuring some of the freshest fish in United States, all imported from Japan. It’s expensive, but well worth it. This is my favorite restaurant in the US. My only complaint; I wish to come in and eat off the fish menu (“a la carte”) I don’t want to be forced to buy Omakase. But I understand this restaurant is structured and requires a commitment to time and the courses.

I’m so picky when it comes to the type of sushi I eat because I love it so much. First of all, their little appetizers were amazing but it took a really long time for them to serve the food so when they started serving nigiri, we were already full…
Also I’m a huge fan of red shari or black shari with fluffy rice, not sticky or huge portions of rice, so I wish I was served fluffy and smaller portions of rice.
But overall chefs were so sweet and friendly I really enjoyed their company so it’s all good.
We will definitely come back again.

Really nice setup. Inside was clean and not over the top fancy. Staff were friendly and knowledgeable.
The outside skirt steak was a bit small for the price but the taste and presentation of everything made up for it.
Would definitely recommend coming here.

Alright, so if you're in the mood for some seriously good sushi, you gotta check out Kabuto in Las Vegas. The fish is so fresh, it's like it was just caught yesterday. And the rolls? Oh man, the rolls are something else. The chefs really get creative and it shows in the flavors. Plus, the portion sizes are just right, so you can try a bunch of different things without feeling stuffed.
And the service? Top notch. The waitstaff is super friendly and always on top of things, making sure your dining experience is a good one.
In short, Kabuto is a must-visit if you're in Vegas and looking for some quality sushi. Whether you're a seasoned pro or a sushi novice, you're sure to have a great time. Don't miss out!"

I ate here with two longtime friends. We got the premium omakase dinner. It was a fantastic experience. Each dish was beautifully presented and thoroughly explained. There were several items that I'd never had before. The ability to add on additional sushi was great since there were unique items that weren't included in the omakase. These were items that I had rarely seen at other places. The ambiance was terrific in this small but unique location. The jahaba Toro was quite possibly the best bite of toro that I've ever had. The lychee sorbet was the perfect nightcap to a tremendous experience.

I have taken my friend from NYC there for her 48th Bday dinner. We had a blast and loved every dish, and it was a fabulous evening. The chef prepared everything with care, and the sashimi was so good and fresh. I definitely recommended it for a special celebration.

The omakase did not disappoint, well worth the money and was appropriately priced. Each course was beautifully prepared and unique, I was so full by the end of the meal that I had to pass my half eaten nigiri to my boyfriend to eat on my behalf. Don’t let the location fool you, it’s usually where most hidden gems are. Make a reservation in advance through resy, highly recommend.. you won’t be disappointed!

Pretty good fresh sushi ..not the best I've ever had , like other reviewers suggested. Did the omakase , first few items were already pre-preped which and sashimi slices already and wrapped . Took away from a 5 star dining experience. Better if they slide the sashimi right before being served. Similarly towards end of our dinner , chef started slicing and putting together the appetizer and some sashimi platter for next seating. Also sushi chefs barely if any interacted with the people sitting on the bar despite us trying to engage with them about the food item, sushi being served. With exception of middle part of omakase with the 10 piece sashimi , all other plates were either pre-preped or given from sushi chef to waiter thst would bring around back to the sushi bar , instead of chef putting in front of us at the sushi bar , which is what we used to and one of the reasons we sit at the sushi bar. Service was excellent . White wine selection was average at best with $15 retail bottle of wine being sold at $85 amd above . Good sake selection, but out of our first 2 daigingo selections . Overall good sushi , but considering price point and the fact sushi was precut, portioned I won't repeat .

Kabuto is the best sushi restaurant in Las Vegas, hands down. The intimate setting with only a few tables and a sushi bar allows you to watch the chefs create their culinary art in real time. The tasting menu is a must-try and will not disappoint. The service is top-notch, with the staff even offering to call an Uber for you at the end of the night. Don't miss out on this hidden gem - it's a 10/10 experience

The fish quality does not justify the price. I’ve had comparable nigiri at AYCE places.

Una experiencia inolvidable, ingredientes frescos y preparados por artesanos japoneses (shokunin). Hay que reservar con meses de anticipación pero vale la pena. La atención por parte de los meseros es excepcional y muy amistosos.

WOW! I can't tell you how good this place is. My stomach left exploding with the best preparations of sushi I've ever eaten. Definitely skip lunch if you are eating here for dinner. Would HIGHLY recommend! Everything is made to perfection.

Amazing experience, satisfying taste with great value. We got the $125 Yoroi course and it comes with 7 nigiris and many other courses. Service was good, really enjoyed the sushi bar experience where you get to interact with the chef. Remember to book for sushi bar seating. A great option off Strip.

One of the single best meals I've ever eaten in my life. Every sake course pairs perfectly with the dish it's served with. The fish melts in your mouth. The care taken by the entire staff is off the charts.
Pro tip: Especially if you're getting the $175 omakase, come VERY hungry. It's a lot of food! They are not skimping on portion size at all, it's 8 full courses.
I will be back the next time I'm in Vegas. What an incredible experience.

Truly exceptional service and an overall fantastic experience, but due to my incorrect assumption it wasn't the omakase I expected.
Service was subtly perfect. Each course and drink pairing was explained just enough to be engaging but not take us away from our group's conversation. One in the party ate nigiri with their hand and a server immediately and quietly placed a warm wipe in a discreet cup at their setting.
I BELIEVE the Yoroi dining option seats you away from the sushi counter. I went with family who booked the rez so I assumed we would be served just-prepared nigiri piece by piece, but we were served two separate plates of 10 total nigiri each. However it was in no way an inferior meal. (I would contact the restaurant to confirm and best manage your expectations if you want the signature omakase experience.)
Sake pairing was really fun. I tried five totally new-to-me sakes all presented beautifully with a brief introduction and unique glasses. It was $62 for our evening's selection.
Ambiance and aesthetic touches were subtle but perfect. Warm lighting and woods. Quality service ware and (handmade?) paper placemats.

Had an amazing time dining at KABUTO. What attracted us to this restaurant was its price point for their omakase and wow it did not disappoint.
From their appetizer, main courses to the dessert it was all very well flavored and plated.
I really didn’t think I’d find such authentic hole in a wall Japanese omakase in the mids of Chinatown Las Vegas.
Staff were all Japanese and very friendly, all the courses came with thorough explanations.

This place is definitely one of the best Omakase I've encountered. I went with the Yoroi Omakase, and it certainly did not disappoint.
The good: Everything was delicious! After you finish your omakase course, my waitress, Chikihari, came and asked if there's anything else I wanted and gave me a piece of paper of all the items on their menu. You have the option to select additional items you want to eat, and I opted to order an additional uni, toro, and jellyfish nigiri.
The bad: Nothing was bad at all!
Overall, would definitely come back to dine here! Everything tasted so fresh, and the way the chef each dish was eloquent and perfection.

Very tasty sushi but at a price of about $500 it is barely above average. Honestly a very pleasant experience but you can probably get something with more flavor and more fun for half the price. One toro in Vegas tastes pretty much the same as any other.

What an experience!!!! Amazing!!! You HAVE to visit this place!!!
They have 2 seatings per night and w e were lucky enough to be seated at the bar so we could watch the art happening in front of us.
I can’t say enough great things about the food and the staff. The yummiest talent ever!!!
So many things to try. So many savory bites and they describe it all to you as it is served. We weren’t very well versed in sushi and we were made to feel very comfortable and free to ask questions.
This was a top level meal that will not soon be forgotten! Again, it was an incredible experience!!!

Amazing hidden gem! Super worth it. Likely the top sushi/sashimi spot in Las Vegas and highly recommended. Better than most venues on the strip.
[+]
- staff are amazing and funny - they joke with you and have fun
- pricing is very fair - for $170, it is extremely filling
- small intimate setting
- bar seating is optimal, but for groups, table up to 4 isn't bad
- extremely filling, without being overly filling
- fish was very fresh, especially the uni
- scallop was one of the best with the soup I've ever tasted
- sake tasting at $68 with very generous fills (and tasty of course)
[-]
- none really, just hard to get a reservation

Unbelievable meal and service. I came in as a party of 1 and sat at the bar. The service started right on time and as soon as I sat down I knew I was going to love it! They began by cutting all the fish that would be used for the Sashimi and Nigiri courses. The chefs are so talented and had a beautiful assortment of fish cut in no time. I ordered and organic green iced tea and it was so refreshing and delicious. Every single bite was the definition of excellence; delicious, balanced, and thoughtful. I’d love to provide some highlights, but the entire meal was the highlight. If I had to choose, the oceanperch nigiri, tuna belly nigiri, lean tuna nigiri, sea bass in gravy with mushrooms, sea urchin, and scallop. I can’t recommend this place highly enough, what a gem. Sincere thanks to the staff for their exceptional service and experience. This was one memorable meal. Somebody give this place a Michelin star… Thanks again!

Quick Summary
Reservations required and the bar is a must. Try to avoid picking a table, because the sushi temperature just isn't the same. It's a fantastic sushi experience, but slightly below the echelon of great sushi restaurants in SF, NYC, and LA. Parking is available at the plaza but can get crowded (can park in the next plaza which is a short walk)
Food- 4 stars
The omakase experience was good. Unfortunately, we had a table reservation so there was a small delay in getting the sushi (which makes all the difference). They do plate all their sushi onto 1 dish, so you don't get the marvelous experience of getting a fresh order per sushi bite. Favorite pieces were the amberjack, stripe jack, shad, and red perch. The oyster was fantastic too
Only negative was the dessert, which was green tea along with fruit and mochi. Was somewhat like a AYCE sushi dessert which was disappointing.
Overall, everything was mostly good. But don't have extremely high expectations
Service- 5 stars
Service was excellent throughout
Bottom Line
Pretty good food and value. Make sure you get a bar reservation

An absolutely stunning meal and certainly one of the highest omakase values I have come across in this or any city. The setting is quaint and cute and everything that the strip mall outside isn't. Every dish served is a testament to the chef's delicate hand and trained palate and the service is as knowledgeable as it is friendly. My only regret is that, as a group of 4, we were seated at a table as opposed to the sushi bar; and I'm certain the show being put on behind there was a spectacle on par with Vegas' best. I hope I am lucky enough to dine here again, and soon!
NOTE: the corkage fee is $40 - which is one of the better values on the wine menu - so I highly recommend picking up a bottle of a nice riesling and bringing it with you!

Unfortunately, we really have to leave the right review following our experience at Kabuto. We were very looking forward to tasting fine Japanese cuisine following what their website and other reviewers describe. Come on, can you tell us that we just visit them on the bad luck day? We have never tasted such terrible food ever. (We love Japanese food and used to live there, and when we travel all around the world, we love to visit famous Japanese restaurants at the places.)
Honestly, the staffs were very kind but the most important food wasn’t good at all.
First of all, the ingredients were NOT FRESH at all. Raw fish were very dry, Ikura lost its form(old, very obvious, most of the top parts are crushed) and Uni tastes some chemical stuff, of course, it is very bitter.
Second, look at the marks on the photos. They might not serve the fish for Sashimi with that quality.
Third, pieces of Sashimi don't have equal sizes. You know, how important is the look at Japanese cuisine. They really care! Do you usually serve the piece which looks like the rest of the fish to the customer? Or was the price too cheap(seriously?) so we should not expect that quality?
The taste of rice is very difficult to make perfect so we usually do not expect such quality. However, the taste of the sauce or the whole dish did not have any taste balance.
One thing, the nori of Temaki was excellent. Very crunchy and has a good flavor.
We did our best to finish the food because it was not polite to leave it in Japanese culture. But we had to leave... Otherwise, I felt like throwing up at the FINE restaurant.
Except that, we honestly say that the food quality and taste both were disgusting at Kabuto. We were very very disappointed with their food, and never recommend it to anyone. The worst Japanese food ever we had. We still cannot believe how Kabuto earns so many good reviews. No way!

We got the 120 omakase and this place is probably the best omakase I have been to so far! Everything was sooo goood and the sake, I just had to keep ordering more! The nigiri was perfection! I can see why you need to make reservations in advance which I did exactly 30 days before! My oyster was so tiny tho that I could barely taste anything!:(
