Let me just tell you this. I've tried soooooo many sushi spots in Vegas. NOTHING compares to this place. I will not go anywhere else for sushi anymore! (Ask my husband) 😂 We have never had a bad experience here. We come here allllll the time. Hawaiian Style! It's not all you can eat, but they have fantastic prices during their Happy Hour M-TH. 1/2 off a bunch of their popular sushi rolls all the time! They also have some of the best Hawaiian Grindz. So if you 9th islanders need a fix, THIS IS YOUR PLACE! Last but certainly not least. Their desert selection is AWESOME! Fancy deserts as well as some in house made Hawaiian inspired cake slices...guava, Chantilly, Haupia, Ube.....just to name a few, and right now they have a seasonal Pumpkin Crunch cake, my current obsession! You will not be disappointed. You're welcome.

Our family can't believe that this restaurant will not accept responsibility. We ordered through Grubhub and we know that people are busy and the things tend to get lost in the shuffle, but it is an absolute lie to Grubhub, God and everyone to say that they put wasabi into the bag and the customer is lying. We didn't want to spend 20 minutes on the phone with Grubhub complaining about a stupid restaurant who apparently are so much concerned about their bottom line profits that they're not going to get something as simple as including wasabi in the order correctly. Are you suggesting that the delivery person reached into the bag and took out wasabi??? Why??? There was no wasabi in there; we took a picture of it. Why would they lie about something like this? Because their restaurant frequently forgets to include condiments and people complain and they won't accept responsibility??? You know, for some people, wasabi is a really important part of the meal, and they do not eat their sushi without it.

Previously, we enjoyed their food (when they got it correct), but if they're not going to accept responsibility and are willing to go to the length of lying and to blame it on the customer, saying the customer is lying, well that is defamation of character, and it is passing the buck, and nothing but a cowardly attempt to GASLIGHT the customer and Grubhub. We didn't lie!! You didn't include the wasabi. To me, lying about a customer is far worse than forgetting a condiment. You have lost our business!!!

Absolutely Terrible. Got 4 rolls delivered (each were at least 14$) and they were worse than going to Smiths grocery store down the street, which is where I went right after this.

Maybe it’s my fault for getting it delivered, but c’mon, this tasted like tin can tuna and the rolls were miniature. I laughed when I opened the package and my delivery driver even thought some food was missing. I’ve gotten take out from I love sushi up eastern and it’s the same thing they serve at the restaurant.

Couldn’t even eat more than a few bites. Maybe this place tastes better at the restaurant, but I’d be ashamed to deliver this food to anyone with my name attached to it. And it was not cheap. Delivery is a straight up scam with this place.

I chose not to eat here, they have a policy that if you want all you can eat the whole table needs to be all you can eat. My 6yr old only eat 1 roll and that's it. Not paying 26 for 1 roll.

This was a good choice! Great, fast, amicable service. Delicious food! Best sushi I have had in awhile. I had the gyoza, which was savory and crispy outer shell. The sauce was a wee bit salty for me. I rarely add salt to foods. The fried California roll was fresh, hot, and tasty. The avocado roll was so tasty! I think it was lightly seasoned and it was making me want more, like chips. The hot green tea had a nice nutty flavor to it. Highly recommend and will be back again!

This place use to be good, but the past few months it’s been a miss. We keep on giving this restaurant chance after chance and they keep on failing. It’s like they don’t care. So disappointing.

This was a go to spot for my wife and I for years, but they've really started to make some significant changes to their menu and how things work there. Because of that it has lost it's appeal to us and unfortunately we're now trying to find another place to go on the regular.

The Salmon Lover and Kona roll were my go to and they were always really good. Part of what kept us going was they had such a great deal with a BOGO on all or almost all sushi rolls. Then one day we show up and we were told they're no longer doing BOGO. We were a bit caught off guard, so we ordered something, but not much and then left. We tried coming back one more and asked if they had brought back the BOGO or not, and we were told they weren't offering it for everything, only on their "basic" rolls. Now it seems they're changing everything up again by trying to go the AYCE route.

All of these changes seem to point at trying to get more money out of the customer and not trying to keep the customers there. Really sad to see them keep changing thing all around and go away from what brought me, and I'm sure many other, always coming back to them.

I usually come here once a month and the food is always amazing, except today. I saw they had a weekly special for "korean bulgogi spring rolls" (please look this up, so you can see what to expect and what they actually are). The item said glass noodles, veggies, bulgogi, etc, I was pretty stoked!

What I got were 4 of the smallest pinky deep fried turds I've ever seen. Not only was each one of them the size of a 1 inch baby carrot, but the entire contents was just a paste. Yes. Instead of "korean bulgogi spring rolls" I got nasty paste in a super deep fried pinky.

The best part? It was $8.99. I feel really betrayed because I come here all the time, and could not believe these 4 little turds that were just nasty paste deep fried were almost $10. It was the only thing bad that I've eaten here, which is why I still give them 2 stars, just really disappointed this was even offered or thought up by anyone on staff as a good idea. I'd rather eat a taco from Jack in the Box, it would probably be more filling, taste better, and be $1..

Walked in and refused service because they were busy. Requested to go order so we can come back and pick up and told “No” even when asked how long it would take she would say just “No” Other times called for order pick up and they just hang up on us after few calls. When dining in not exactly friendly not rude. I guess just when she’s busy stressed can be off putting.

This place used to be great, not sure if they changed ownership but the food is mid. The Mac salad taste is eh, just Mac and mayo. The Tonkotsu has no flavor and rice is dry af. What a disappointment. What happened???

Food was decent, service was not there today. The fact that they'll serve certain food to some people and not to everyone is crazy. The spot just opened, and yet only some people will be able to order things, while some people can't. I was told I couldn't order poke because there was "no one here to make it." Then I overheard the table right next to us just had poke. One of the servers told me it was because they were here before us. Mind you, that this place just opened at 11am and we walked in around 11:05am. So, no. Then, she offered to make it.....when we were already done eating. Too late, that's not how customer service is done.

Then, to add gratuity to a party of 5 or more is not it (5th person was a child). They didn't deserve the 20%. For a local business.... yeah, no. 6 or more is the standard at 18%, and this isn't fine dining. I'll tip 20% or more when it's called for.

Been here a few times before, and we've had other awesome servers. Food was still decent. But this time was probably the worst. There are a lot of local places to eat, just saying. This one just went to the bottom of the list.

We’re originally from Hawaii but live have lived in Arizona for 7 yrs now. Were visiting Vegas right now and stopped here and so glad we did! Service was amazing! They’re so nice! And food was just as amazing too! Just like home. Highly recommend eating here!!

I was craving sushi so I looked this place up and I’m happy we ended up here. I got confused at first and entered through the entrance that was for pick-up only and ordering to-go. Didn’t realize to the right of me they had an actual sit-down area to enjoy eating and drinking 😏. We ordered the Dragon roll, Surf & turf and Spider roll. All of them were so good! They have specials going on too and we barely made the cutoff. Drinks were Island Colada which was so yummy I’d get it again and the Guava Rita Coronita 🍺 We also ordered a bento box with garlic chicken, this was delicious as well! Definitely recommend coming here🍣🍱🩵

Portion wise quality etc was really good it's just when you normally order you get ginger with sushi and even though I asked for extra ginger paid $1.15 you get the smallest portion possible.
Oh and 2 soy sauce satchets isn't much.
Trying calling and complaining your told as you ordered over Uber complain to them I complained to Uber and well the customer service is even worse.
All in all don't bother ordering in it really isn't worth the money wasted.

I love this place! The staff is pretty cool and the food is ALWAYS bangin! I’ve never ever had a bad meal here and I’ve eaten here quite a bit. If you order to go there is a bit of a wait but it’s still worth the wait. Try their kimchi cucumbers or the spicy avocado ahi!

Upon my visit to Island Sushi and Grill, I was initially drawn in by the promise of all-you-can-eat (AYCE) sushi, guided by a Google review that, unfortunately, turned out to be outdated or inaccurate. Despite this initial hiccup, my dining experience at Island Sushi and Grill turned into a delightful surprise.

The menu may not have featured AYCE sushi, but what they did offer was nothing short of culinary excellence. The poke bowls and sushi rolls were a testament to the chef's skill, presenting a symphony of flavors that left my taste buds thoroughly satisfied. I order from here regularly for delivery as I live across the road. The sushi has always been impeccable, every single thing is prepared as advertised and is fresh and delicious. For non-sushi eaters, they have a cheeseburger and fries that is as good as any burger I have ever had. Like the sushi, simple but expertly prepared. The Poke is also very well prepared, fresh and tasty every time. Very impressed with this place.

I used to come here often for the past 5 years and food had always been excent quality and there was much value to the price. However, after my last visit, I was completely disappointed. The quality and value has completely gone down at Island Sushi and Grill. The sushi is over-priced for only 6 pieces, and the Siamin Soup hardly has any broth, the spam and kamaboko were cut paper thin, and the char siu was cut to the size of kibble pet food. Food was good as usual but the guy at the counter taking our money maybe was having a bad day unemotional not very welcoming tried to make small talk to him but he wasn't having it kind of felt like he didn't want us to be there if I wasn't so hungry at the time I probably would have just canceled my order and left kind of sucks when you go to a place of your own and they treat you like they are not pleased that you were there to spend money and enjoy some back home food I don't think that I would want to spend my hard-earned money here again to be treated like I was not welcomed so I guess the only way I'd ever go back there or give them another chance if one of my family members surprise me with a gift certificate or something otherwise I'll take my money somewhere that smiles and appreciates me I mean there are tons of Hawaiian places to eat in Las Vegas and I have been to all of them and I've never felt so unwanted in an establishment as I did that night

Sushi here is really really really good. You get actual pieces of fish, not just slivers. All fresh, made to order. 8 pieces per roll and the ones we get are $15.99/$17.99 but it's def worth it. We request sauces on the side so we can control how much or how little each bite has. Only thing I wish they would do is answer the phone. Every time we try to place an order ahead of time, it rings until it goes to a recording of having a high volume of calls so please order through the website. We're calling on a weeknight and it happens every time. Seems more like they just don't want to take orders over the phone so we just go there and place the order in person.

It's not the closest thing to being on the islands, it is like being on the islands! Dishes here are the real McCoy and not only taste great, but a great value for your buck. Their Ohana combos are even a better value and includes a half dozen malisadas. The sushi counter is in the back and offer a variety of poke. If you're ordering to go, order ahead and ship the wait as every meal is prepared to order. There are a few casual dining tables that you can sit at and a room next to it that provides a little more restaurant style dining. If it's your first time here, you'll be a fan and become a regular. They also offer delivery service.

In all fairness, the sushi looked good, which is why I came here, but more on that later. The service was not. I came here at 8PM on a Friday and it was quite busy, but they seemed understaffed. We stood at the front waiting (the sign says 'please wait to be seated') for about 10 minutes before any staff even came to talk to us. We were the only ones standing there. As soon as we were seated, we noticed the group beside us saying "we should just leave" as they were struggling to wave down a staff member. When they finally did, they said they never received their dessert that was supposed to come with their meal, but the wait was so long that they decided to just pay and leave. There were other groups around us who were also missing food they ordered.

On their website, they have it listed in numerous spots that their rolls and some nigiri is 50% off for dine-in guests. However, on their specials menu at the restaurant, it says on the bottom "specials are no longer 1/2 off", which is the entire reason I came here to begin with.

I was ready to leave at this point, but my girlfriend thought it would be rude so we stayed. We both ordered a plate lunch, and I was a little disappointed but I've never really had Hawaiian food before so I didn't know what to expect. My girlfriend has had a fair bit of Hawaiian food before though and she said it was the worst she's had.

I really don't have high standards for food, and I can count on one hand the number of memorable negative experiences I've had at restaurants. I was disappointed by this place because the reviews seemed to be so good.

Great little gem in our city near St. Rose Parkway and Eastern. Price was very reasonable and server was very attentive.

Went for the first time yesterday. They were very busy and it was only 4PM and now I see why. All rolls 50 % off all day, every day. Sashimi and Nigiri specials too. Everything was fresh and excellent. The server moved with the speed of lightning and handled the crowd quickly and professionally. Nice atmosphere too. I dine alone and felt very welcomed. This will be a regular stop for me. Highly recommended !

Kudos to "Mac" we had a large party. They give large portions and the food was so Ono. I had the Loco Moco special. It had spam, Kailua pork, spam with egg , brown gravy and rice. I also had some fried noodles. Came back for Dinner. I had the the Fried Noodles Deluxe. We also had the samin. Portuguese, eggs and rice. Again Kudos to "Mac". Give this brudda a raise, he deserves it. He always really works hard.

I had the pleasure of ordering the combo fried noodles but the gentleman that took the order was not so very pleasant. If anything he was rude with the biggest attitude, so much for the aloha spirit! Mind you I spent over $100 for combo fried noodles that lacked the meat in combo. I probably wouldn't have min so much if the food was good but for some mediocre noodles and an attitude no one cares to deal with, go somewhere else and give someone else your business!!!!

Update July 23.2023. Outstanding again. Came back with work colleagues, they loved it!! Everything was on point. And yes my non sushi wife had a great meal. I was glad to come with other sushi lovers as we could share a lot of different rolls.

Outstanding sushi. Love the Hawaiian theme. Staff very friendly and attentive. Especially Mac! Made great selections, and help pick a meal for my wife who is a non sushi eater. Well done!! A must go to for great service and sushi. One observations, they do not do half rolls. So if you are single sushi eater bring your appetite. Food was very fresh and they have some unique nigri rolls.

Island Sushi and Grill is a great spot for Hawaiian food! The first time we went, we dined in. Nice atmosphere and lovely staff. We loved it so much that we’ve ordered take out from them twice since. The poke is my favorite with pork in a close second place, but everything is delicious. Their lunch specials are huge!

Food was decent but the service was terrible. Our server was extremely rude. It was my first time dining into this restaurant and I was really excited about it. However, the server really made me and my family feel unwelcome. Our food was brought out at different times and some stuff was forgotten, which I can forgive. When we were finished my mom asked about the dessert and we were told, "The menu is right there, I'll be back" in the rudest way possible. I was shocked. Then it took her another 10 mins to bring it out, and another 20 mins for her to even come around with the card machine so we could pay. We spent around 2 hours here just waiting on the server. She didn't deserve the automatic grat that was on the bill because we had 6 people, in fact she wouldn't have gotten a single dime from me if I had a choice. I won't be coming back, there are much better places for sushi and Hawaiian food where the atmosphere is more welcoming and the servers are much friendlier.

Thought I would give this place another try. Ordered a poke bowl for takeout. Really awful. Huge, uneven pieces of salmon. The spicy mayo was bland and unseasoned. I paid more for to add "crab salad" but it was just ripped apart pieces of imitation crab. $30 in the trash. No craft or love shown in their meals. As a sushi chef in Chicago for years, I recommend poke express on the north side for good Hawaiian style poke. If you're basic as hell you might enjoy the lack of flavor here. 2 stars only because I made a pb&j to curb my anger. Never again.

Nice place. Sushi is good. Current dine in special fo sushi at 1/2 price makes it an especially good value. They leave the skin on the cucumber which is not my favorite, but they will leave the cucumber off if requested.
We had to wait longer than expected for our 2nd round of rolls considering they were only California rolls, but otherwise all was good. We'd definitely go back.
I have also been at dinner and sat at the sushi bar when it was more crowded, no complaints.
Want inexpensive sushi with a good variety? Definitely give them a try.

OMG this place has the best sushi and I am telling all my sushi loving friends. It's a bit far for me yet I go there often because I can order off the island menu and the food is very reasonably priced, especially for Vegas! I always ask my servers but they recommend and I have not been let down yet, plus I've tried a lot of new sushi combinations that I would not have otherwise. They always have great specials and desert too.

Now that I live in Vegas, I'm happy that I get to dine here as it makes me feel as if I'm still in Hawaii. This last visit, the server was awful, but... the guy who's always there always saves the day. He's awesome and well attentive. The female worker did not even check on us or offered water. I had to ask.
Also, our food was delivered and there were no utensils. Errr. I'm glad the guy server noticed and came by our table, etc. I'd obviously still return because the food is food.

Came here over the weekend because my fellow 808 friends loves this place and swear that it's as close as it gets to home. Us Mainlanders now gotta be on the lookout for Hawaii style cooking. :)

So for starters, they have daily specials and I wish it was a WEDNESDAY because they have Meat Jun. Hopefully it tastes just as good as Dong Yang in my hometown in Wahiawa. Definitely need to make my way out to Vegas during the weekday.

Shoyu Poke with limu
Spicy Ahi poke bowl
Friday's special - Lau Lau plate with rice and long rice
Fried Noodles with Kalbi
And lastly for dessert 1 dozen malasadas

When you first walk in, there are dessert choices on the left hand side. Also, looks like that's where you can order "to go" items. Keep walking in and go straight to the POKE station where you'd find lots of different types of POKE. On the right hand side is the dine in with a sushi bar.

Our server was alright and nothing really stood out. Our food came quickly and everyone was really nice. We even met the owner. Aloha!

For the food here's my opinion:
Poke was on point considering that I've had the opportunity to try all different places from San Diego's Best Poke and the infamous Foodland POKE so Island Sushi is good.
The lau lau was dry, unfortunately. It was overcooked.
Fried Noodles and Kalbi was also good. The kalbi was on point however the noodles lacked flavor which is fine so I added soy sauce. (I like salty food so that's my fault)
Now for the malasadas. Lots of places claim that they have good malasadas. I will say that so far on the mainland, Island Sushi & Grill has the best. We opt for 6 malasadas to eat at the table then took 6 to go. It was good that I had to return before leaving Vegas for San Diego. I called in my order and when I got there my order wasn't quite ready. :( Which is fine so I waited. The young lady (on a Sunday morning) grabbed a box from the warmer and filled a couple with custard. This time around the malasadas wasn't as good. Not sure why, it was also not as hot. :( I think I should've ordered when I got there instead. It probably would've been hot.

Good "Hawaiian Kine" food! Lots of options to choose from. The staff is usually always busy, but they do their best. The only thing I don't like is the location of the place and the size. The restaurant gets busy and the dining area is small.
