There are 2 menus at the time i was there ($350 and $500). I chose $350 and the quality of food was not line up with the price, it was good but not that expensive. Some Japanese restaurants in town with more affordable price and quality such as Kabuto, Kaiseki Sanga, Yuzu are better.

Called to ask about sushi and how it works the woman that answered told me that something started at 8 pm I told her I didn’t understand what she meant by that and she said I should be nicer on the phone next time I called and hung up on me then never answered another phone call from me.

She also blocked my phone number.

Food is not worth the money. Fish isnt fresh. Precut in pieces and covered with paper towels.

Let me be clear, you cant have a korean owner running a japanese omakase restaurant. Its like a japanese guy cannot run a korean food restaurant. Spent $3000 for 3 including drinks. Not worth it.

The Omakase experience is excellent, and worth trying. The $500 price is high. The reservation process is draconian, a little pushy.

Five stars simply aren’t enough to encapsulate the extraordinary experience we had at Kame Omakase. From the moment I stepped into the intimate dining space, I was transported to a world of culinary excellence and unparalleled hospitality.

The attentive and friendly service was exceptional, although one server did seem a bit eager to clear plates at times. However, this minor hiccup was overshadowed by the overall warmth and knowledge displayed by the chefs and the staff members. Their detailed explanations of each dish added a layer of depth to the dining experience.

The restaurant itself is a masterpiece. The intimate setting with just a few other guests created a cozy atmosphere, perfect for engaging conversations with talented chefs. Their passion for their craft was evident in every interaction, as they shared fascinating insights into the ingredients and preparation of each dish.

While the price point is undoubtedly high, it's justified by the sheer quality and artistry of the food. Every bite was a symphony of flavors, textures, and visual appeal. From the exquisite sashimi to the melt-in-your-mouth A5 wagyu, each course was a culinary masterpiece.

Kame Omakase offers two seatings per night, ensuring an exclusive and personalized experience. Our journey began with a velvety smooth chawan mushi, a perfect prelude to the gastronomic adventure that followed.

The sashimi course was a breathtaking display of freshness and artistry. The live lobster was tender and sweet, while the toro melted effortlessly on the palate. Each piece was generously cut and showcased the chef's impeccable knife skills.

The appetizers were a delightful progression of flavors. The oyster was plump and briny, the A5 Wagyu Shigureni was a heavenly combination of textures, and the Kaki Age was a crispy delight. The corn tempura was a surprising highlight, with the sweetness of the corn perfectly balanced by the light batter.

The katsuo tataki was a flavor explosion, with the seared tuna's rich taste complemented by the accompanying ponzu sauce. The sazae, while visually intimidating, was a culinary revelation. The sawagani crab added a unique and delicious element to the dish, challenging my preconceptions about seafood.

The sushi course was nothing short of extraordinary. Each piece was a delicate balance of rice and fish, showcasing the chef's mastery of technique. The Hokkaido uni was particularly memorable, with its creamy texture and rich flavor.

The softshell crab was a crispy and savory delight, while the A5 wagyu ishiyaki was a tender and juicy masterpiece. The addition of black truffle elevated the dish to new heights.

The dessert was the perfect ending to an unforgettable meal. The winter melon was refreshing and light, and the hojicha ice cream was a delightful complement.

Kame Omakase is truly a remarkable experience. It's a place where food becomes art and where every bite is a memory in the making.

From start to finish everything was great. I was looking at bookings at first and it seemed like they were all booked up but I gave a call at 8:00 and got sat for 1 for the 8:30. To be able to get an instant booking like this on a random night +1 easily.

Every part of the experience was luxurious, without the American tacky luxury. Every dish was finely made with detail and precision that you'd expect.

We were able to share stories together, talk about travel as it was myself and 2 others for dinner that night. The intimacy was what made it special and sharing my sake with the chef and other guests was no problem. Whenever you can go to a place and just have a genuine friendship with the chef and server and other guests. You know you are in the right place.

Get off the strip and the fake fancy you see out there. If you want the real thing, come here.

I can't say enough about Kame Omakase. Fantastic experience, one of those meals that you'll remember for the rest of your life. It's a nice, intimate setting, two seatings per night, maximum of ten diners. Wonderful food, highest imaginable quality, everything prepared perfectly, gorgeous presentation, absolutely uncompromising. Chef was very approachable and knowledgeable, it was a pleasure to talk to him. Service was fantastic. Looking forward to my next visit, this will always be on the short list for a truly special meal.

UPDATE, from our 8/20/2022 visit:
From the outside, Kame Omakase is a fairly unassuming place in an office building on Spring Mountain RD, they used to have a standard restaurant menu as well but now are only doing the omakase. This was my second time there, my son's first; when I went a few years ago it was probably the best meal of my life, and it was equally good this time, significantly more expensive but also significantly more luxurious and extensive in scope. The chefs are very creative, but still always within a solid classical Japanese framework; no “fusion” here. Quality and attention to deal are superlative, and the constant interaction with the chef, his attention and enthusiasm about his food, added immeasurably to the experience. So, we had: chawanmushi with Hokkaido uni, trout roe and shiitake; a sashimi course (lobster with otoro, uni and caviar; king salmon; kama-toro; akami; kampachi; madai; octopus; kurage jellyfish); an appetizer set (oyster with ponzu and caviar; suzuki misoyaki; goma tofu; baigai clam; lobster tempura); scallop with truffle ponzu, otoro, uni and caviar; a “jewelry box” (caviar tin with otoro, uni, trout roe, scallop and caviar); turban shell sazae (turban shell and nameko mushrooms in dashi, served in the shell); a variety of sushi (akamutsu; kinmedai; hirame; mirugai; chutoro; otoro with uni and caviar; uni; otoro and caviar temaki); king salmon and tofu tobanyaki with shiromiso; A5 wagyu ribeye (briefly cooked sous vide and finished with a torch) with foie gras and truffles; uni risotto with hairy crab and truffles; crown melon; yuzu and hojicha ice creams; matcha mocha; hojicha. This was truly a life-changing meal, the memory of which will always be with me.

I rarely write reviews. Usually when I go, I make the experience my own since it's different for everyone. But I had to write about this one. I have yet to go to Japan and experience something like this, but the chef and the rest of his team really make sure to make this an unique experience.

From the moment we came in it was a welcoming feeling. The staff was constantly taking care of every little detail, they sure made suggestions that enhance the experience and didn't miss a beat. The chef really took time to explain and detail the dishes and it's ingredients. He also took great pride on the ingredients he brought for this dinner. On experience alone I am extremely happy with everything. But lets talk food, amuse-bouche; a simple but flavorful egg custard. From there a hiramasa carpaccio that was basically a sample of the high quality ingredients we were about to get. Afterwards we had a sashimi platter that included lobster, king salmon, tuna to name a few. And each bite was delightful. Then it was followed by a platter of cook dishes that included oysters, soft shell crab and sea bass, following the order suggested by the chef just made each bite and enhancement of flavors. The next dish was just a surge; a combination that just blew my mind on how just a few ingredients can add to so much, the dish had a Japanese scallop, truffle Toro tuna and uni. This was followed by A5 wagyu shabu shabu, which basically was a superb tender meat bathed on a delicious broth. After this a very welcomed dish they called the jewelry box; which had uni, caviar and a few other things. This was followed by some sushi including tuna, red snapper, a king crab roll and others. Finally there was another cut of wagyu with some vegetables and a risotto that was to die for. And then the desserts that included a a melon from Japan and a few ice creams and even a macaroon. Now I really want to continue to rave about the food because I have no dish that I was not surprised by. So now let's talk price, I normally don't care if price because I think I'm not just paying for the food, I am also there for the experience. They have a few price points, so there are options. But it could range from a $200 and higher per person. I already want to come back or hope that an experience like this was closer to me in the Carolinas. But if you are in town and you have the time to come here. I guarantee there will be no regrets.

If you love sushi and are adventurous, I would definitely check this place out. This was pricey, but definitely worth it. Uni, Japanese waygu, and freshly shaved truffle? How could you go wrong!? Those are my favorite things all in one sitting. The atmosphere felt very personal and intimate. We and everyone at the sushi bar were properly taken care of. The servers made sure all your beverages were full at all times. And they made sure plates were taking away at a timely matter. Each course was different and was well presented. The sushi was fresh and delicious. The other items were just tasty as well. It was quite the experience. I included in my reviews photos of the menu and the food that came out in order. I would recommend coming with another guest or a party. I was quite full at the end of the experience, but not overwhelmingly full. Be prepared to eat lots of food. The sushi was all explained to you throughout the entire course. And they explained how to eat it properly to get the full flavors. Portions were just right, but definitely wanting more after each set. Thanks for the great experience everyone!

I’m the gf in the previous review lol. I’ve been to numerous omakases in NYC, SF, Chicago and DC and consider omakase tasting a hobby of mine. Sushi Kame uses real good ingredients (black and white truffle, certified wagyu, uni and fish you won’t see at a lot of different places and the high quality preparation of the nigiri reflects 15 years of experience chef Jean (hope that’s the right spelling?) has. The sauce and seasoning are very simple, just soy sauce and wasabi / see salt / yuzu. That reflects the quality of the meat and fish. The ambience is very cozy but classy. Great conversations with the chefs and stewardesses. Totally worth it. Highly recommend. So much respect for the place!

This is one of the best Japanese Omakase I’ve ever had. Being a self professed foodie and having been to Japan two times, I can vouch for its authenticity and quality. It is a very private and small dining experience. They only had one menu available (premium omakase, $350 PP) and you leave so full and stuffed. Because it was just me and my husband, we were seated at the counter right in front of the kitchen with another couple. There was also a larger party that got a private dining room. They prepared most of the sushi in front of us, with exception the hot foods prepare in kitchen and bought out. Our server Was very attentive and service was beautifully orchestrated. We asked questions about the food source and they answered the questions or bought out the food source. It was a very unique experience and I’m glad I was able to come here!!!

Visited on Sep 8 for the premium Omakase.

Generally is good. But for the 350 price point, I want to be as picky as I could and raise the bar a bit higher. Following are some points I think it does not meet this price bar.

1. Uni we got that night is from Hokkaido which is pretty good, but not the most premium Japanese uni as it’s color within its own box is not consistent and contains different kinds of yellow color.
2. Wagyu we got is A5 from Kagoshima which is good A5 but for this price point, better wagyu can be considered. In terms of better, I mean the legacy of the location where it’s from, like better ones from Miyazaki, Matsusaka
3. For ootoro, felt the the tissue is not cleaned up fully that you can still feel the chewiness there.
4. None of the fish is aged, which might be my personal choice that I think some part can be better if it’s aged in some way.
5. Seaweed is roasted using a cooking torch instead of binchotan.
6. When asking for the weight for the tuna, chef doesn’t know which is a bit surprising for me as that is biggest factor determines the price and quality of the bluefin tuna. Only info I got is that the bluefin is from Spain.
7. The entire course doesn’t have crab dish. :(

As I said, these are all on the picky end for its premium price point and comparing to some of the experience I had previously.

Hopefully this review can be helpful and explain why I gave it a 4 out of 5 star.

Here's the break down:
This omakase comes in two options standard (250$ per person) or premium omakase (350$ per person)
Before you run to the next sushi bar, hold up and consider the experience.
Here the ingredients are pick and prepared with freshness and quality in mind.
This is a 2 hour experience that will feel enriching as you push your palate.
The chefs are personable and drive the narrative of each dish from it's traditional styling and origins to cater to what you know and prefer in your nigiri experience.
The chefs will challenge tradition in creative and beautiful ways like tofu with miny mushrooms and wasabi gelatin , and ceviche with gelatin lemon sauce, wonderful balce to acidity and the sweet taste to the shrimp.
Every ingredient is shipped to the restaurant with quality in mind, with shipping receipts included! Nothing but the best the season has to offer
The menu is seasonal and everyone raves about the winter menu being the best experience.

Hope this helps! Fresh tea(traditional ) and great drink options, by the 🍾
Please give them a chance no matter your tax bracket 😁

Kame Omakase: an artistic culinary experience.

We booked our Vegas trip on a short notice, as a kind of post covid celebration trip.

Hotel concierge recommended Kame. Fortunately, Kame had openings for Memorial Day. They have theater seating: 6 pm and 8.30 pm, with 10 bar side seats. Need to book in pairs, as a couple of dishes are shared with your partner.

It's a preset fix price menu. Substitutions are discouraged. It is a full range traditional Japanese meal, with 4 chefs working behind the counter.

There are multiple dishes as follows:

1. "Live lobster" plated sashimi appetizer with several fish: salmons, tunas, white fish, lobster tail, lobster claw, octopus, topped off with ossetra and smoked trout roe.

Presentation and taste both amazing. Sockeye salmon was unbelievable. They use high quality ossetra, platinum color, comparable to Regalis platinum.

In the pictures, it's the large elaborate plate with ice on the bottom and a decoration of sticks in the back.

2. Traditional Japanese festive occasion appetizer with oyster on the shell, cubed Toro tartar, two different fish tempura, shaved wagyu steam, and raw Japanese octopus.

3. A couple of small appetizers. Seared tuna tataki and Japanese oyster with toro.

4. Traditional omakase course. Chef makes it in their hand. Passes to you im the plate, which you immediately eat with your hand.

A few white fish, with skin seared, and 3 different toro pieces: chutoro, cheek, and aburi style.

I think 7 total.

5. Wagyu beef main course, with torched foie gras and shaved black truffle. One piece of wagyu with simple sea salt. Another with foie and truffles. Top off with young marinated Japanese mini peach.

6. Traditional after main course Japanese risotto with uni and ossetra.

7. Green tea homemade ice cream with two flavors of mocci.

We had a 350 ml of sake recommended by staff. Plus red wine with the wagyu.

The entire experience is 5 stars all the way.

Fish and seafood are top quality, extremely fresh. Preparation and seasoning are michelin worth it. The entire atmosphere is immaculate clean as you would expect at a top Japanese restaurant.

A bit over $1000 with everything. Well worth it. Will return on future trips.

We went this restaurant by following recommendations.

The google shows it’s open then no matter how we knocked the door, the people inside won’t open. If this is reservation only can you please put that inform the google.

There are at least four to five groups like us. Please don’t waste people’s time!

It’s pretty good overall. You know what you’re expecting when you pay this much for a dinner. Quite impressive by the wagyu beef, O-toro sushi and some of the sashimi selection. However, I didn’t get a “wow” moment throughout my omakase experience.

Best omakase in Las Vegas. Every piece of fish tasted like fresh butter. But fish.

It was such a good flow. You can’t even believe 2 hours have passed and your full.

The chefs here are all trained from Osaka Japan. Cannot beat this food. Saki list and knowledge is amazing with all staff members.

Was here for the omakase experience, and thoroughly enjoyed myself! It was such a pleasant dining experience here in Las Vegas, outside of the main strip. They did a small 10pax sitting, and you'd be served the freshest ingredients for the day, by the chefs in front of you. It's quite a show as well, as they prepare everything in front of your very eyes.

The show stopper was the A5 Wagyu, where they brought out the entire slab of meat, along with the certification details, and they started torching the meat in front of you!

All the fresh sashimi and uni items were also mind-blowing, which I thoroughly appreciated. A few downers, however, were the dishes that were fusion to "suit the American tastebuds", which I thought they should have stuck with the traditional Japanese restaurant route. Overall very enjoyable and worth the price paid though!

Always on point w their sushi, we always make a point to come here when in town. Chef Eric makes sure his daily fishes are the freshest you can find. We did the omakase & it didn't disappointed. Lots of choices & different tasters on his omakase. Worth the price you pay. My husband is a non raw fish eater, so the restaurant has lots of yummy dishes cater to that! Husband was satisfied when he finished. Always love it here, congratulations on ur new location, very roomy, beautiful space, much closer to the strip. I wish y'all the best! And keep up the good food!

Oh the prices reflected the food quality alone. The service was fine dining and better. Real wagyu beef that is good enough to beat your friend, over the last peice. The chefs were really nice and helpful. Unique and new rolls every night if you order the chefs special. Great for a special date, definitely the first.

Pretty noble Japanese restaurant. The chiefs are super nice that make you feel honorable. They provide really special fish that you may not try it before. Lots of foods come from Japan directly that are sooooo special and worth to give them a taste. The only thing that I think could be better is that there is no special sauces for different nigiri that I feel losing something for this kind of high level and high prices restaurant, but maybe I am wrong for this😬.

I don’t get it, are these 5 stars reviews real? Hope so. My take is: they brag of fish flown from japan??? we got tuna or something similar from Hawaii it was soooo bland and flavorless as well as transparent grey looking, the didn’t have TAMAGO???!. We paid $400 for the worst sushi experience ever. They don’t even have SENCHA tea?! What EVA .

We booked for a large group here and opted to do a-la carte versus a tasting. They have a large selection of fish, most of which is flown in from Japan. Very fresh and well executed all around. The quality generally was very good but some of the fish wasn't amazing. The other fishes were great too. Service was awesome, and we overordered a lot, so they helped us pace what we could.

One of the best omakase experiences I've ever had. To be upfront, it wasnt cheap, $200 a person for a single seating that begins at 6pm. Ita held in a separate room from the rest of the restaurant that sat 9 people and had 3 chefs working along with 2-3 accompanying wait staff. The service was excellent, the chefs were engaging and descriptive, and the food was simply amazing. Everything was great, and even topped off with a specialty dessert explained by the pastry chef. Totally worth the splurge. They even made sure everyone got photos of everything they wanted.
