Spring rolls were oily, inside and out. I asked to make sure it was egg rolls. He said they were the same, however these were made of rice paper and not flour, but I digress.

The Mei Fun was heavily salted. Way too much msg and not enough seasoning. Not even a hint of ginger. The chicken was also old, and stringy, meaning it wasn’t hydrated long enough with the cornstarch slurry which would have rejuvenated the chicken. The noodles had a gummy texture meaning the noodles were over cooked during the stirfry and not enough oil was added for the light sear. The meat portion was fair. 4/10

The Dragon and Phoenix, basically deep fried tender beef tossed in brown sauce separated by broccoli from jumbo shrimp also deep fried and tossed in a simple garlic sauce. The shrimp were swimming in the sauce, also doused in msg. The beef was tender like the chicken should have been from the mei fun. The beef sauce was a bit too sweet and was drily familiar to bbq, Just saying. The portion was ok. 4/10

Overall I wouldn’t spend my money here. There are better options and fell below par for the typical Asian fast food restaurant. I was expecting midrange and hoping for a notch above. I’m very disappointed and think this restaurant is cutting corners when it comes to prepping their food and is heavy handed with the salt and msg in place of the Asian trio garlic ginger and spring onion. I wouldn’t be surprised if they are using bullion or store bought chicken stock for their base stock, which would explain all the salt. There is no pride I this food and the oily spring roll immediately hurt my stomach. It may look good but trust me, skip this one.

I've been coming here since I was a kid and it never misses. Never. The food is hot, fresh and delicious. The service is ALWAYS attentive, professional and you are never left waiting to request a refill, for silverware etc. Actually brought my kids here for the first time, too and what a fun moment it was to give my kids the same experience I had some 30 years later!

Staff was very friendly, I just hate how everything else followed.

Very long wait. Waitress was sweet but forgot several items we ordered and charged us extra for something we didn't order but by that time we were fed up and didn't want to wait anymore time to have the extra 2$ removed.

Food is just not a pleasant experience. Pan fried dumplings were raw, crab roll was sour, chicken's sauce was nasty. I've never just left so much food on my plate before. I won't go back.

I feel horrible to do this because the staff was so sweet and helpful. But I ordered potstickers and they were deep fried and looked like crab Rangoon but were so tough I couldn’t eat through them. The spring rolls are greasy and kind of taste like wet soggy trash. I would not recommend per say but very nice employees and service!!

Dragon Cafe offers an extensive menu of both Chinese and Japanese cuisine. There are numerous salads, soups and appetizers to go either the main course options. Many items come in two sizes, for lunch or for dinner. There is a nice luncheon sushi discount as well on about a dozen popular rolls.
Service is friendly but can become slow when they are short staffed, which was the case on my most recent lunchtime visit. The atmosphere is much more pleasant and relaxed than at most area Chinese storefront restaurants.
I have always loved the food, which has been consistently good since they first opened maybe two decades ago. I like mixing it up between the Chinese and Japanese menu selections. There is something sure to please almost anyone on their menu.

The food was very good and arrived fairly quick. I asked for Empire Shrimp and got Empire Chicken
Not a big deal to me and it was delicious. They served fried rice. I guess steamed rice must not have been an option. It would have been nice had they removed the dirty dishes when we finished eating. It was very quiet and pleasant in the restaurant. I would return again.

Ok to start I know it's Christmas and we are lucky this place was open since I messed up and forgot to get things to make Christmas dinner, however they need to update their website for wait times for pick up orders. Placed order on their actual website was stated 30 mins. Ok sweet, get there get told after payment already taken " oh it will be a while we will call you" my daughter and I wait for almost 3 hours!! I gave up and left, had to call a demand a refund to get told "oh you want a refund. Your order just came out so you want it?" REALLY!! I will not waste my time. The entryway was so packed we had to wait outside. After and hour and half wait we went in to see what the hold up was and no one would talk to us. Again I know ita Christmas and they were packed but seriously almost 3 hours for 3 meals. I will make sure I don't mess up again and forget things for Christmas dinner. I still want my refund

This restaurant is a staple for my family. Anytime we crave Chinese, Dragon Cafe is our go to.
I always get the basic Broccoli Beef but the flavors is everything but basic. My wife's favorite is the Combo Lo Mein. You can taste the wok fire that it's cooked in ( wok hei).
Our daughter loves the selection of sushi. It's always fresh. Highly recommend!

I've been going to this restaurant for years & I've never had a bad dish no matter the choice I made on their menu. Today I ordered the bamboo steamed vegtables that comes w/ steamed rice & I love the brown sauce & a cup of wonton soup. I get the combo that includes an egg roll & crab ragoon for an addtl small charge. The hot tea is wonderful. They charge a service fee if you use a credit card so bring cash w/ you to pay for your meal & tip if you want to avoid an addtl charge.

Took 2 hours just to bring out my order… ordered 3 plates of orange chicken and 6 dumplings…. Absolutely insane. Store was not busy either. When I asked the host about an eta on the time they just kept saying 5 minutes.

We had a to go order. We called in and came inside to grab it.

I’ve noticed a sign saying “fast Chinese food”. Thats cool.

I was greeted well. And had to wait a little bit. Its cool. So, ive decided to check out the place.

I wanted to like this, the waitress was super sweet but the food took forever due to the amount of takeout orders (or so I assume). The food was just OK. Everything was sticky (menus, tables, etc.) I am local but probably won’t be back. The crab rangoons were good, the sushi was average but I found cut aluminum foil in it which I assume was used to roll it up. The Mongolian beef was tender but little flavor and mostly veggies on the plate. Kani salad was good.

We went to Dragon Café on Sunday because my wife was craving Japanese food. It was our first visit to this restaurant. The place looks nice inside. But it’s not too clean and doesn’t smell too good. So we tried to order Japanese food but we were informed by, the waiter that the chef went shopping to Sam’s store and we won’t be able to order and Japanese food for the next one hour. So my wife was very upset, but we decided to order Chinese instead and my wife had mango chicken and I had General Tso’s chicken. My chicken wasn’t bad. I think the sauce was pretty good but It could be more spicy. My wife was complaining that her food didn’t taste good. So overall we were disappointed and we don’t think we will go back.

Pricy meal for the worst chinese food I've ever eaten. Will not be returning. The breading on the food fell off and was moist, the shrimp was dry and tasteless (had to try and eat my boyfriends meal mine was so bad). The peanut butter chicken had a dipping side instead of on the actuall chicken bc the sauce was runny. Very bizarre eating experience for $75.00. Thr egg roll and crab Rangoons were good. That's it!

This was such a terrible experience! They said my order would take 25 minutes when I called. I showed up around 30 after initial calling. They had me pay for my food then said it would be just a little longer wait. I ended up waiting an additional 50 minutes prior to my food being ready. I asked multiple times for a refund and that I didn’t even want my food after waiting so long, but they refused to give me one. After finally getting my food and taking it home, it was not prepared well. I could tell they made the sushi way earlier than the rest of the food and that it was no longer fresh. On the other hand, the chicken was undercooked. I called the restaurant to ask for a refund on my food. They were very rude and wouldn’t give me one unless I traveled back to the restaurant to have their cooks expect the food to see if it was bad…this is the single worst experience I have had eating in Omaha (and it is not even close).

Been there many times in previous years. Used to be good. Tonight, first time in two years, 4 of us . Ordered California sushi, sweet snd sour pork, triple delight, fried rice, crab rangoon and pork/veggie spring rolls. Absolute slop and tasteless. Nothing was worth finishing. Entrees were delivered to the table 10 minutes apart. $67.00 down the drain. We will NEVER eat there again. Rather than box up our plentiful leftovers we left it to be scraped into the garbage can where it belonged. What happened to this restaurant since our last 30 visits??????

Ordered at 10:30am to be delivered at 6:30 pm due to I work overnight and wanted supper to be delivered for when I awoke.
Order was delivered to the back doorway and not to apartment door, food was disgusting as the chicken in the chicken fried rice was raw.
Beef Mongolia was greasy and spring rolls weren't crispy like normal.
Not to mention that I called restaurant to ask where my order was and the lady that answered was very rude and not customer oriented at all.
This place used to be our favorite place to order from but, now I guess we won't be back because this isn't the 1st time our orders have been horrible.

My wife picked up food from this place. Chicken fried rice, sweet and sour chicken, and crab rangoon. The food was not good. It simply didn’t have any flavor. The chicken in the fried rice was old and rubbery. The sweet and sour chicken was greasy. The crab rangoons weren’t awful, but they weren’t great either. Very disappointing. Any fast food place would’ve been better.

I have been here 3 times now. Once to go, 2 times eating in. On Christmas Eve, our apartment flooded, so hotel it was and food to go. Christmas Day, the same. Not much open. Eating in, server was good. Each time the food looked good, but was off. The most recent, I explained what I was looking for and the server told me what that would be.(crispy shrimp) I enjoyed a seaweed salad, then my entree came. It looked great, but It had an overwhelming flavor of cinnamon. I know Chinese 5 spice has cinnamon in it but this tasted like cinnamon sauce. Overall won’t be back. Service was attentive but food was overall terrible.

Great Chinese restaurant, got the Broccoli Chicken, Kung Pao Beef, Spring Rolls, Crab Rangoons, and Hot & Sour soup.
Entrees were both delicious and filling.
Crab Rangoon were made perfectly. Great filling:wonton ratio.
Hot & Sour soup is the star here. This is the closest I've found to what China Road had. Turned my wife into a fan of hot & Sour soup as well it's that good! Highly recommend!

Great place to eat a decent Japanese-Chinese meal. They have a good decor and the music playing is instrumental pop. The food is your typical cuisine, they do have a lot of options, around 90 or so and that's not counting the Sushi. Recently they have had issues with keeping wait staff, so it can get slow at times. The wait staff is good at what they do, they just need more. They have a good size party room as well.

Fantastic atmosphere and huge menu! The portion sizes are generous for the price. It looks wayyy bigger on the inside than it does outside. We came at an unconventional hour so that's why the chairs in the photo are empty.

Waitress named Katy was TERRIBLE. We were the only customers in the place & she took forever to wait on us. Our water was never asked for refills, we asked for " to go" boxes & she saw what we had left & brought the little boxes, then we had to get more boxes. We also ordered a meal to go & waited 15 more minutes for that. She must have forgotten to put in the order so it would be ready when we were. Another waitress was very helpful when Katy wasn't around. The food was FANTASTIC, so we'll go back, hopefully get another waitress. If Katy, we'll request another.

We ordered take out, when I went to pick it up, it wasn't ready or misplaced, even with a 1 hour notice and they tried to charge me again, I explained we paid with a CC over the phone, and it took her about 15 min checking 3 differant machines to find the ticket. The food is great, but the svs is slow. Maybe too many machines to check to find your ticket?? The atmosphere is old and outdated, and the dining area smells like old food smoke.

Great food!!! Owner and his wife are very nice and customer attentive. I was very pleased with our dine in service the food was prompt and hot. Our order was a tad difficult but was prepared and cooked perfectly as ordered. It hard to fine good food and service especially for a family with two toddlers we really appreciate them.

Genital chicken is phenomenal and great portion size more than enough rice fills you up and you have enough to take home to the kid or for yourself Sushi is great as well I suggest that spicy eel tempura the dill sauces almost to die for and it got a great bar too

Was surprised to see unfavorable reviews. We stopped here on a whim for lunch. Service was friendly, food was better than expected and came out in reasonable time. We liked the decorations/atmosphere. Dinged for a star because music was too loud and the place badly needs a remodel.

Awful customer service. I called in a takeout order. After ordering my food, the gentleman who answered the phone said okay see you in 25 minutes. I had to ask him what came with the combo meal before he hung up.. He had not asked ask me what kind of soup I wanted. I had to ask him if I had a choice. When I went to pick up the order, the woman who took my payment did not even look at me. She didn't say hello or goodbye. I told her it was my first time coming to the restaurant. She didn't even acknowledge that. They were not busy at all. The food was okay but not great. The eggroll was tasty, but very greasy. I like the egg drop soup and the crab rangoon. The pork dumplings were very good, but they didn't even give me half a container full of sauce. The mushu pork was so so and they only gave me two pancakes. I won't be back for quite a while. They didn't seem to want my business.

Food is pretty good but dear God if you’d like to eat today, make sure you order it yesterday. This is my second experience with Dragon Cafe and it been the same twice. Despite it being the closest option to my house, I’m afraid there won’t be a third time.

My husband and I recently discovered this place and it’s really good! My favorite is the dumplings. My husbands go to is the beef and broccoli. You also always get a ton of food and it’s great for leftovers. I highly recommend!

Edit: The one star off is for the fact that the service can be very slow especially take out. Be prepared to wait

I recently dined here and my food was very greasy. I ordered a spring role as appetizer, and it was laying in a pool of oil on my plate. My lo menu noodles were very oily also and hardly any veggies or chicken. Really disappointed 😑

Absolutely awful. Ordered 2 combo plates and only received the chicken and rice. No soups or egrolls. My wife found a metal strand (like you find on steel woll) in the crab ragoon. All meals had an absolute abundance of vegetables and barley any meat. Would not recommend at all.

I ordered online showed up it wasn't ready when it was supposed to be, which yes I get but it was only one roll and edamame shouldn't have taken 20 mins past the time it was supposed to be ready. Customer service was also lackluster. Got home started eating my roll it tasted like it's been sitting out for a while, I wasn't a fan. 2 stars I may have caught them on a off day.

I ordered the moo shu pork and was brought two Mexican tortillas instead of the traditional pancakes. I kid you not. And the plum sauce was super runny. Never had either of those two things occur at any Chinese restaurant I’ve ever ordered this dish at ever. When I nicely questioned it, I was offered 50 cents off. This wasn’t even the only issue with our meal. Server was inattentive and brought dishes out several minutes apart and without all necessary parts of each meal. Do not waste your time or money here. I just really hope I don’t end up sick. My few bites of the moo shu pork tasted off at best.

Do not eat here. I have no issue with cheap sushi. I have eaten cheap sushi from many places before but this was awful. The salmon was rotten and inedible. I am appalled that they would even serve this to someone.

Avoid. There is no all you can eat sushi; they’ve taken it off the menu, and the rolls that they do offer are overpriced and hit-or-miss; literally you can order two of the same roll and if a different person makes them, they’ll be different. In terms of appreciation of actual, authentic sushi, the rolls rate a 2/10 at best. The one $16 roll I ordered was the most disappointing and small. The miso soup is on the small side and largely flavourless. The only reason I’m giving two stars is because the server was very sweet. I will not be returning ever, and wish I’d read the reviews instead of trusting a local who apparently hadn’t eaten there in almost two years (and who said he won’t be going back either).

Still the most consistently good Chinese food in the immediate area. The restuarant has been there for a long while and the dining area is becoming worn. The day we were there, there was only one server and she was doing an amazing job considering that she was doing everything by herself. The crab Rangoon were salty. The General Tso Chicken was great, but the broccoli was cold.

HORRIBLE. Had peanut butter chicken and the sauce was lacking any peanut butter, essentially a clear cornstarch coating and was an inedible $20 meal. The combination fried rice was good, sweet and sour sauce was thin as water. This isn’t the first disappointment from them but it will be the last. $40 for fried rice, crab Rangoon and nasty peanut butter- less chicken.

Mediocre food, even for a Chinese food craving it’s not worth it. We ordered take-out and the food was ready in about 30min. When we arrived at home half the food was room temp and half was still hot.

We had a few different dishes. The fried sesame chicken and General Tso’s chicken weren’t bad, but the batter was soggy and both the sauces were uninspiring and overly sweet. All the stir-fried dishes were drowned in a generic brown sauce that was lacking in flavor. Nothing had a good sear or came out crispy. Everything visually looked and tasted soggy or boiled.

We ordered some “safe” sushi, Philly Roll and California. The wasabi didn’t have much flavor and the fake crab and smoked salmon both didn’t taste the best quality. I really wasn’t a fan of the cream cheese they used, a little too sour. The cucumber didn’t have that snap to it, it had more of a “chew”. The size of the rolls were perfect for eating in one bite. The rice to filling ratio was also really well done. It’s a shame the quality of ingredients were poor.

The crab rangoons weren’t my favorite. They had a bit of a sour taste to them and could have used another 30-60sec in the fryer. They most likely use the same cream cheese for the Philly roll and crab rangoons which explains the sour taste. The egg rolls were the only thing that didn’t have any issues and I would recommend those if you find yourself eating here.

Overall the problem is just a lack of quality. The potential is there, but low-quality ingredients and cooking methods really hurt this place. If they decide to improve on that, it would be worth coming back.

The crab rangoons and sweet potato roll were amazing but the garlic chicken and combo lo mein were not. All of the meat especially the chicken tasted old and reheated which is very disappointing I did not want to waste it but it was not good. Plus we got a combo meal and they forgot the soup. And the egg roll was greasy and not crunchy.

$47 for 6 dumplings, spider and shrimp tempura rolls, cup of egg drop soup, and chicken lo mein with a side of fried rice. The food was very bland and okay, it cannot be described better. Dough of the dumplings was slimy. The fried rice can hardly be called fried, it was just steamed rice tossed in soy sauce and a piece of scrambled egg put on top. Rolls were both unappetizing, but at least they looked pretty. Lo mein and egg drop soup both tasted extremely bland and old. I don't imagine myself visiting here again.

We ordered right away when we got there and 45 minutes later we hadn't gotten our order. Worst kitchen service ever. The waitress was nice, but 45 min is way to long at lunch time and the excuse of a catering order and to go orders is a bad excuse, when we are sitting in your restaurant! Good luck, so many better choices out there. Thank you regular customers no more.

Dragon Cafe Beef is awesome! I can't eat carrots or mushrooms so I order it without & replace with extra water chestnuts. It's in a yummy brown sauce which is So Good! Husband had Buddhist Delight which is veggies in brown sauce which was also delicious.

Horrible. I've never had such badly prepared chinese food. The chicken wasn't clean. The carrots were raw, the bamboo was largely uncooked. There were only about 5 pieces of chicken in a large hunan chicken dish. On top of that the whole thing was just very bland. I won't be returning.

The food was extremely bad. The soup was less bad, but the "low mein" was really bad, smelled bad and it looked like it was reheated. I let the waiter know. I couldn't eat it. I paid any way, but I will never come back.

I wasn't pleased with my general tso chicken. One it smelled funny and then my carrots was rubbery and not edible. The rice just had eggs in it no veggies. I threw my food away.

Went for the all you can eat sushi! Upon walking in the restaurant, I first noticed the decor! Beautiful wood carvings placed in various places inside the Cafe! The floors and tables were very clean and it had a very warm friendly atmosphere. Our waitress was very punctual, made sure our drinks were always full and the sushi was excellent!

I ordered take-out using the Beyond Menu app. Staff at the restaurant was very nice. I have ordered from Dragon Cafe before and I think this might have been an off night for them. The chicken Lo Mein was just OK and the hot & sour soup tasted off - like something was missing. On the other hand the pan fried dumplings were quite tasty and easily the largest dumplings I've ever had in Omaha.

Rude. Not just a isolated thing,each and every time and to get a condiment it's like begging,you get 5 dinners and they might toss you 1tiny mustard.
Prices have really gotten higher and no longer includes soup .Soup $3 more. Before it was included.
If you order it to go they won't start the order til you show up.
Flavor has really gone down hill.

Last time eating here for a while. Food is never done when they say it will be which is honestly super inconsiderate when people try to plan around that. Guaranteed doubled wait time. Also we got there way after our said time bc we knew they’d be late and it STILL wasn’t done. If you’re busy we understand just be honest and say “wait time is 45-60 minutes” don’t lie and say 10-15 minutes.. let customers make their own decision if they want to choose elsewhere. That’s just how it goes… Then when we got our food it was COLD???? how is that even possible?! The beef was literally cold. So gross. Taste isn’t what it used to be. Used to be my favorite place to go but no more. If you don’t mind driving a little further hunan palace is soooo much better quality. Sometimes a little bit of wait but only when busy and they give you the realistic time from the get go.

Textbook example of not judging a book by it's cover. The unassuming exterior of the restaurant doesn't even hint of the delights within. Warm and inviting atmosphere, and delightful music. The service is outstanding and the waitstaff knowledgeable and gracious. The menu is one of the most extensive I have seen. (And I've seen my share of menus!) We had Calamari, Snowpea Beef and Triple Delight. Highly recommend you also try their Sushi menu, as it was equally delicious when we last dined here. Grab some friends and fill a table or two.

OVER PRICED!!! I just looked their online menu, got the prices together, called and lo and behold they have NOT updated their online menu so what I ordered was over $10.00 more than what is listed on their online menu. Got, "Oh, sorry we had to up our prices". Well, then you don't need my business when you can't update your online menu or jack up the prices that makes it ridiculous to even order from here. NOT worth the HUGE price for somewhat mediocre food.

This place gets more than one star because the food was edible and the sauce showed some potential. I got the empress chicken. The breading was over twice the size of the chicken chunks it covered and it was pretty mushy.

It’s so trashy. The place is dirty and old, the food tastes stale and it’s just not good. The service isn’t friendly and it’s slow. I don’t know how they have good reviews, it’s so bad, I would be embarrassed to bring my friends here.
