Kura Sushi USA, Inc., is an innovative and tech interactive Japanese restaurant concept established in 2008 as a subsidiary of Kura Sushi, Inc. As pioneers of the revolving sushi concept, the Kura family of companies have improved upon the developed innovative systems that combine advanced technology, premium ingredients, and affordable prices to enhance the unique dining experience. Since the first restaurant opening in 1977, Kura Sushi, Inc. has grown substantially with more than 500 locations across Japan, Taiwan and the United States. Our philosophy of muten or nothing added is an ongoing promise that our food is prepared using fresh, high quality ingredients free of artificial sweeteners, seasonings, preservatives and colorings.
Food was just okay which is expected for any revolving sushi place. Service was different. Waitress told us to order drinks on the kiosk and she would be back to explain everything. She never came back so we figured it out on our own. Robot brings your drinks, you can order from the kiosk and it gets sent to you on the conveyor belt. Atmosphere was okay.

A really good restaurant for some good food and fun service. The sushi and other treats were all really good and fun to have so many choices, fantastic to try new things here. I really liked the desserts I tried as well, exceptional cheesecake. I can definitely recommend for a fun meal.

Kura Sushi is a fun place to eat sushi, ramen and other delights. Food can be taken from a lower conveyer belt which has a wide variety from the menu. If you prefer to order direct from the kitchen, an easy to use touchscreen is available and the food comes to your table on an upper conveyer belt. A cute robot will bring you drinks you've ordered. We had ramen soup bowl which was flavorful and generously filled. The sesame seed balls dessert was sweet and served warm. If you are in Natick, come give it a try.

So we came right at opening when all the sushi was freshly made and honestly was flying off. I’d say the sushi is excellent if you get it fresh. Honestly such a great deal and good quality if freshly made. I would say the best option is probably to either get a reservation or go early because the quality of sushi is just better if turnover is fast. If you think what’s out might look suspicious or a bit old, order it through the touch screen for a fresh one.
10/10 experience, the robot is cute for people who like some distancing from the staff. You can also buy the toys if thats your thing!

Great place to eat! The service was very good and they let us try out the sushi conveyer case (which holds the plates) out before we started eating. The food is very fresh, and there was a game where, each 15 plates that you eat, you get a prize which has a collectible item inside. (Photo shown below.) Overall, this is just a great restaurant and also can fill you up quickly.

We have a lot of fun here. I find the simplistic dishes are better than the more complicated ones. My kids love getting the prizes and I love that you can buy them too. It’s really fun for kids, max table is for four I think so not great for groups. For three people (1 adult and 2 kids) we spend around $60. To get prizes from eating enough plates you have to spend around $70.

I leave and came back at 7 pm for dinner. It’s another 1 to 2 hours to wait. The food is just ok. If you want to wait for 2 hours and just for something is ok in the cold.you can come and suffer this.

The service and cleanliness is much better at the Framingham location compared to the Watertown location. The staff here is very kind and friendly. I saw someone eating alone, reading a book and a worker came up just to give them a free bookmark. Meanwhile the Watertown location tried to avoid giving me the promotional shirt.

Great authentic feeling sushi restaurant. Good food selection. Portions feel a bit small, but not outrageously so. Quality of food is great. The staff is excellent, courteous, and fast. There's an adorable robot that brings drink to your table. Good place to take young children, just make sure you plan in a wait time of 30-40m around dinner time.

We used to love going there every month, but the service quality has declined dramatically. Even though our table was ready, the person at the reception made us wait, and there was clearly a staffing shortage, which caused a significant delay in service from servers.

I had a wonderful dining experience at Kura, and I have to give special credit to our waiter, William, who truly made the evening memorable. From the start, he was friendly, professional, and incredibly attentive without ever being overbearing. What really stood out was William’s genuine care for our experience. He anticipated our needs before we even had to ask, and his warm demeanor added a personal touch that made us feel truly valued as guests. Kura offers amazing food, but William’s exceptional service made the night unforgettable. I’ll definitely be back, thanks to him!

The service at Kura was truly impeccable, and much of that was thanks to William, our waiter. From the moment we arrived, he greeted us with genuine warmth and made us feel immediately comfortable. William's attentiveness throughout the evening was remarkable—he didn’t just check in occasionally, but truly paid attention to every detail. Not once did we have to call him over; he seemed to anticipate our needs before we even realized them ourselves. Whether it was refilling our drinks, William was always one step ahead. it was his genuine care and enthusiasm that truly stood out. You could tell he wasn't just doing a job, he was passionate about creating a great dining experience. This made us feel like honored guests, and it turned an already fantastic meal into a truly unforgettable night. We will certainly be returning, not just for the amazing food, but for the level of service William provided.

Delicious sushi in an authentic atmosphere. The sushi included nigiri, rolls, others I haven't seen before, all on a revolving conveyor belt. You can also order things specifically to be sent to your seat direct if you don't want to wait for them to come around. They have some desserts and sake also. They even have Toto bidets in the bathrooms that really make it feel like Japan. Very fun, highly recommend for a date.
Visited 7 months ago
The sushi was passable but not great, but I didn't have really high expectations for kaiten restaurants. No big deal. Custom orders took quite a while to arrive. Way too expensive though, for the quality and lack of service.
My big issue was with how it was managed. There were, literally, six parties waiting outside for over 20 minutes, and they had FOUR completely empty tables they refused to open, citing "management's decision, they open when it's busy". What? Why make everyone wait so long when you could easily open these tables? Is six parties waiting outside for 20+ minutes is not "busy"? It's not like it requires any staff effort, that's the whole point of the restaurant.
This was during peak dinner hours as well. Really insulting and ridiculous. I would have left immediately if my kids really didn't want to try it.
The octopus was inedible for me. Other sushi was ok.
I won't be back.

Kura Sushi is part of a franchise of revolving sushi quick service restaurants expanding across the Boston area.
There isn’t much seating outside and the line can get a bit long, so during rain it might be a wise idea to wait in your car.
The service is exceptional, with them checking in your table multiple times and even the self serve robot bringing the drinks out.
The atmosphere is nice, no music ambiance but the seating is spacious. There is little walkway room, but it doesn’t hinder the experience that much.
The food is good. Quality of the sushi is top notch and the variety is good. You can either grab it off the revolving belt, or order it straight to your table. I’d say ordering it to the table is better, since the placement of your table along the belt may result in the trays being empty by the time it arrives. There’s typically only 2 of each dish on the belt as well, so this happened consistently during the visit.
At $3.70/dish and higher prices for the meals like ramen, it is on the pricier side for sushi, especially since most plates only come with 2 pieces. I’d recommend this for smaller parties and not when you’re really hungry, as your bill will go up quite a bit.
The prizes are cute and nice, but they also give you an option to buy the prize for the price of a dish, sorta eliminating the need to rack up the plate counter to get a prize (which is 15 plates or around $55 per prize). There are rare ones you can get only from the prize gashapon but idk if it’s really worth it unless you care about the characters a lot.

The food and service was awesome. The conveyor belts were easy to get the hang of. However, the lift up mechanism took a little getting used to, but was no issue afterwards.
The check in kiosk system was easy to use, but I don't know how often it is attended to. We were seated only after coming inside to check in with the waitstaff.

What is the point of a waitlist if people just end up forcing their way inside? I had signed up before multiple groups of people and everyone after me had gone in before me. My original wait time was between 15-30 minutes. I ended spending around an hour waiting outside before I was fed up. I only managed to get a seat because I went inside and asked about getting seated. I don't think it's worth coming here anymore.

This is overpriced mediocre sushi. People think this is good because a conveyor belt brings you your food? And then they want a tip at the end when there’s robots doing all the work. No thanks $0.00 tip. Go to Aoi or Crazy Stone if you want good sushi.

We were initially told the wait time would be 60-90 minutes. About 15 minutes before the expected time, we received a message instructing us to see the host, so we returned to the restaurant. However, the host asked us to wait outside until we were called. Despite checking in multiple times over the next hour, we were repeatedly informed that the wait would be even longer. The entire wait system was frustrating, and I have no intention of returning.

Super fun place to have sushi. The conveyor belt that serves both you individually and the room is amazing. The robots for drinks make it fun for all ages and fast.
This is not high end sushi in terms of variety, however the common types of rolls were well done. You are there more for the experience, so it is a great way to intro sushi to kids!
Only cons of the experience were 1.) no low sodium soy sauce and 2.) they leave the ginger on the table between guests (in a little box) which was not appealing considering I saw a person reach into the box (ignoring the scoop) with their chopsticks - and after they left, the box wasn't replaced.

I tried this unique conveyor belt sushi place. Service was excellent- servers were quick. The conveyor belt idea is a fun idea and can entertain the kids. I am a lover of sushi and found the sushi tasteless here. Every item tasted the same without any texture. It was all bland even using the wasabi like peanut butter - just no flavor.
At almost $4 a plate, it is an expensive experience. This place is good for a one time experience. I tried it and will not be back.

If you really have the patience to wait for your table for over an hour this is the place for you. After waiting for an hour+ was told I am 16th on the list, so I left and got a notification that my table is ready 11 minutes later (no way the place went through 16 tables in that time). While the sushi is good and this is a unique experience, especially for kids, this is NOT worth the aggravation and wait. Plus, seems like there is some preferential treatment purely judging by the count of people coming out and my progression in the line.

Went for dinner with a fellow a low-level sushi enthusiast, and we had a good time~ There were exotic options, but we kept it simple, and enjoyed everything we had.
The novelty of ordering from a tablet at the table, and having it show up via robot or conveyor belt was immense~ They've really got a good concept going here. I wouldn't want to bother a person 10 times, but their automated system makes it fun to just order whatever you think of whenever you think of it. Can even easily pay by phone from your table and just get up and go~
I don't know anything about mochi, but it seemed to be made in house it was so fresh~ +1 for Avacado hand-rolls, Gyoza dumplings, Spicy tuna, ...and other boring safe items ;)
We only ordered from the menu and had items sent to us, because we're picky... but yea, people reviewing that the conveyor belt items looked old, they probably are, because how many people are getting sea urchin or octopus at a conveyor-belt restaurant? Seemed to take 5 minutes to go around the whole restaurant. Refrigerated track hopefully?

Kura Sushi is the perfect example of how being both a foreign restaurant and having a cool gimmick is all you really need to convince the general public that your meal is worth spending $200 on.
My first time going, the restaurant was filled with separate, unrelated groups of suburban twenty-something’s in anime shirts that were rowdy. Target demographic I guess. The backs of the cheap wooden benches they sit you in are not sturdy at all and connected to the people behind you, and behind me was this rowdy suburban kid with dyed hair wearing a Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure shirt. He was very animated and jumpy, multiple times causing the bench to smack me in the back whenever he got hyped up on how sugoi everything was. Eventually I turned around and politely said something and he stopped. Awkward.
My coke was flat and also had no syrup, so it was basically just flat club soda. This is forgivable, it happens and wasn’t a huge deal. What isn’t forgivable was my mother-in-law finding a bone in her salmon - and then going back a few weeks later and finding ANOTHER bone in the same salmon dish. I will not be going back. For the price the food costs it’s not even that great, and that’s hoping there won’t be any bones in your fish.

I don't like to leave a negative review until I visit a place 2-3 times, but I will this time. There was a wait, they said 15 minutes, but it was closer to 25. This wasn't a huge deal as it was busy.
We were seated and placed a la carte order for ramen and gyoza. We got edamame from the conveyor belt and proceeded to check out the sushi. It did not look fresh, some looked quite old. I recommended that we only eat cooked sushi. The Golden Crunchy roll (4) was pretty good. We also tried the Caterpillar roll, 2 of the 3 rolls were fine. I got something reminiscent of dirt or eggshell in the third piece. I didn't examine it, but didn't swallow it either. The ramen and gyoza were fine.
I didn't visit the bathroom because if that wasn't clean, I don't know what I would have done. I just didn't want to know. We cannot recommend this place, we will not be back, and truly hope that nobody got sick.

I went with a party of 4; although the wait was only supposed to be 15 minutes, it was probably over 30. As the food was going by our table, it was noticeable that the sushi must have been circling for hours from how dry it looked. I didn't have any sushi, but I did have the Tonkotsu Ramen. It was a little sweeter than I usually like it, but it was still good. I also ordered a green tea, which was lukewarm and had ZERO flavor. We also got the chicken Gyoto dumplings, which, only to me, felt slimy. One of the other people in my party also agreed that the chicken didn't taste like chicken; she didn't even know that it was chicken! All of the staff were nice, though.

I thought the color of the yellowtail was a little strange, but I ate it. The horse mackerel also smelled a little bad.
Then the next day I had a stomach ache. I regret that I should have taken a picture of that hamachi.
It took a long time for the waiter to come even after I pressed the call button.
There was a time when I ordered tuna, but salmon came. (I had to reorder the tuna.)
I don't think I will come here again.

What a delightful concept here in the states! Having been to Tokyo, I was no stranger to similar automated restaurants, but this one was darling (talking water delivery robot was Kuwaii) and… inexpensive!
That was the big surprise. We had 10 plates of sushi for $37.50. The green teas, at $3.90 each, were more expensive than the sushi plates. I have been to sushi bars where the chef is in the middle, and the customer picks plates off of floating boats and all of the dishes are color-coded so the price really varies. The boats go by quickly and when you see something you like and grab it, it may be quite expensive. Not so here!! All the rotating sushi dishes were the same price at $3.75 a plate. What a bargain!
How it works: You have two options. You can either pick a dish off the conveyor belt that is rotating past you, or you can order something custom from the touchscreen at your table. When that happens your sushi dish also arrives on a higher conveyor belt and stops only in front of you. Drinks are delivered via the kuwaii robot, although our server did deliver the green tea, because it was hot, and she said the robot may spill it potentially.
When your meal is complete, you place the used plates in a slot, and that is how your bill is calculated. They just count per plate, at a set price per plate. It’s such fun.
I only wish they had one of these in North Carolina. I know this is a chain, so let’s bring one to Asheville or Charlotte. People would love it.

Came over there at 7 PM, Tuesday. The waitress told us that we need to wait 90 minutes !!!
Thank you. Will find something better than this ridiculous place.

A bit of a wait time, completely worth it!

I've gone to all 3 (as of writing this) Kura locations in Massachusetts and the Framingham spot gets my top pick. The sushi is fresh, the restaurant is bright and clean if a bit small, and the area around the store is lively.
My main complaint about this location would be the "revolving" part of the sushi. Every time I go here almost all the plates are empty and we end up ordering all of our sushi manually. I understand that it might be hard to keep up with a full house, but when the headlining feature of the restaurant isn't really usable, it dampens the experience a bit.
Still 5 stars from me thanks to the seared salmon and snow crab leg sushi.

So, we were out of town and were told about this place, so we decided to try it. It was a fun experience. The food came on a conveyor belt, the plates kept traveling on the belt, and you chose what you want. You can also order thru an electronic pad located on the table. They also deliver your drinks with a robot, making it a different and fun experience. The price was reasonable, great for a quick bite

I am frequently costumer 3 or 4 times a month we visit this place spend about $160 - $200 dls every time. The food is good. We have to wait 20+ minutes every time for simple service such as soda refill or more sauce. No remorse for anything. SERVICE IS HORRIBLE

Warm sushi ain't right. Very fun for the 12 and under crowd. Bathroom was both high tech and filthy. Weird reservation no reservation system

Great food and such a fun way to share a meal with friends! The small plates made it easy and low-risk to try new things.

Very interesting Japanese restaurant, waiters and waitresses are always around but mostly you pick up your own food from train tracks that going around by every customers tables. Touch screen you can order something special isn’t on the train tracks

Cool experience. Food was yummy. You can order on your personal tablet and see it come zipping over. Definitely worth checking out.

I definitely recommend it for the experience simply because I think it’s so cool to just grab any sushi you want and enjoy it. They change the theme of prizes every month or so I believe, but is usually character/show based theme. But getting little prizes for every plate that you finish which is 15 plates to get a prize but I think that’s too much. what about 10 plates for each prize because that seems more reasonable haha. Although some of the sushi is a bit subpar on quality, you pay 3.25 per plate so you can’t really expect super high-quality, but it can still improve on the menu. Other items are a little extra if you order them. The wait time can be rather long as they don’t do reservations and this location is on the smaller size so just make sure to go inside and sign up for the waitlist w/them because they’re currently having new changes on the app so sometimes you’ll be actually waiting longer than you think. Also, my only thing that I have to pick at is that the spicy mayo is horrendous. It looks nothing like what it typically should look like or taste, so I recommend possibly change it to something else that’s actually spicy mayo.

The experience of picking your own food is fun. However the seafood is not very fresh. The sea urchin we had was totally spoiled. Will not go back again.

It's a fun place to visit because it's a cool concept. Those sushi is not the greatest, but you come there more for the experience than the food I suppose. I don't really like that everything has to be done on your phone that you can't even check in with a live person if you want to. Good for a quickie fast food sushi lunch.

Now this was an awesome experience. My family and I really enjoyed eating at this place. From the atmosphere and the presentation of how the food is delivered, is an experience I highly recommend.

Fun conveyor belt sushi place nicely located near Shopper world, but it's very overpriced. The hot dishes seem to be fair in pricing, but the sushi plates quickly add up. You can easily spend 50+ per person here post tax and tip. I recommend not going there hungry unless you are ready to drop some $$$.
Not sure if it's fair comparison, but Kura Sushi in Asian countries is 1/4 the price of not even less. I know this is not Asia, but 4* the price plus a recommended tip of some 25 percent seem like a rip off for a place where the food is delivered via conveyor belt and robot, and after a long wait outside in the cold or heat. This place has no inside waiting area.
I still go time to time because 1) I have fond memory of it going to Kura in Taiwan with my family, 2) I join the rewards program and they send you coupons, 3) my toddler loves this place!

What a fun experience, for the whole family! The servers were so kind and genuine and made us feel so warm and welcome.. I believe the servers names we had were Mizu and Jared. The food was pretty good, but with the service and the prizes and the entertaining atmosphere, my kids ask to go back basically every day!

This place is dirty. Fruit flies were emanating from the dish slot. The touch screen was sticky. The ginger container? Horrid. You should not have ginger sitting out like thet on every table. The clear dish covers on the conveyer belt were dirty and smudged with fringed prints. The conveyer belt itself was dirty.
I didn’t dare eat a thing. We got up and left.
Health code violations galore.
I wanted to like this place, but it’s horribly managed, and someone is going to get sick.

As a vegetarian, the only things they had here was the Edamame Beans, Cucumber Salad and the Takoyaki. Our server was very nice and atmosphere was ok but the food killed my vibes. Made me puke afterward
