The decor is stunning! There is so much to look at and everything is well placed and thought out. Their food was really great too. They also give you infused water, which is cold and refreshing, it had citrus and I think mint. Our server Chris did a great job; we told him it was our first time, and I asked if he could pick out my dish, which he did (Singapore noodles). I know that’s a lot of pressure lol my dish was delicious! Definitely come here the next time you’re in town!

Had a great experience, the service was amazing, the man who served us did a great job. They had these hot hand towels they gave to you to use before you ordered food which I thought was nice, also they have their own water mix that tasted really good, I wasn’t really playing attention of what he said was in it, but it was delicious. Now only have two complaints which the first one would be that the chicken in basic chicken fried rice, was really dry, everything else about it was great but the chicken was definitely over cooked so it made it unenjoyable. The other food we had was great as well, but the only other complaint I’d have is the drink I order wasn’t the best either, I ordered their Strawberry Mule and it just tasted like straight Strawberry Rum and sour, couldn’t taste the ginger beer at all and didn’t have any carbonation in it. Other than those things the place was good, the views were lovely and I enjoyed the interior and the set of up the place. I’d recommend you guys give it a try for the experience and maybe the food will be different. Still a great place.

This place has great ambiance and delicious food. Crab Rangoon was so good! The cheddar cheese on top was different and added to the flavor. I had the chicken and shrimp Singapore noodles, the Curry flavor could be more but I added some soy sauce which helped. The chicken and shrimp was juicy and flavorful as well. The shrimp was jumbo shrimp and there was plenty left over.

This is truly a gem for our family. The ambiance is aesthetically pleasing and we’re always seated immediately. Most importantly, there is something on the menu for all to enjoy. Generally we begin with shrimp tempura and the Shanghai sweet spicy wings. For my primary meal the Herb Garlic Grilled Rack of Lamb is a must. At medium well, it’s juicy and packed with flavor. To top the evening off, I always order the Crème Brulee. Was a little disappointed that I had to ask for refills and the warm towel to wipe my hands. This establishment is definitely noteworthy!

We had a wonderful dining experience at this well-known Chinese restaurant in National Harbor some time ago. The restaurant had beautiful decorations with lots of flowers and traditional Chinese objects, as well as a gigantic Buddha statue at the entrance that was impossible to miss. The food was excellent, and we even enjoyed our desserts. The service was decent during our visit to the restaurant on a busy weekend evening. Overall, it was a great dining experience.

An upscale Asian fusion restaurant in the national harbour area. Definitely one of the best. The internal decor was amazing with bold oriental influence. Staff was great and attentive. They were accommodating as well when we asked for some fresh cut chilli.
The atmosphere was lively and we saw families dining out over Sunday dinner, birthday celebrations and gathering happening.
If you are in the area, it's definitely a place to go to.

Food had so much MSG I was up half the night with my heart racing and feeling awful. Filet was tender but the sauce was sickening sweet. Japanese fried chicken was just chicken tenders and yum yum sauce. Food came out hot. Service and atmosphere were good and the place is decorated nice for the holidays.

Food is mediocre. Typical tourist trap. Ambiance and location is phenomenal. Original waiter was terrible. The one bright spot was our second waiter. She made up for the shortcomings around her with stellar service and attention to detail. This place would have 5 stars if they performed as well as Ali! Ali - if you are reading this, thank you for saving our night / making it a pleasure to meet you. Even though the food was mediocre and our original waiter was terrible (didn't even get water) - you made up for it with your professionalism, courtesy, and kindness. This restaurant owes you - because my wife and I were certainly ready to walk out if not for you.

Work gathering. Online reservation was simple to navigate and honored. A $10 deposit was required and was deducted from the meal. The server was very attentive, and I appreciated he asked if there were any food allergies. The food was delicious, fresh, and beautifully presented. I would definitely revisit.
Missed opportunity- a few people placed takeout orders. This was not an option for ordering from the kids menu.

Visited Grace's Mandarin last weekend and it was an incredible experience. Everything about this place is top-notch, from the stunning decor and ambiance to the attentive service.
The Panang curry was rich and flavorful, and the Malaysian crepe it came with was such a unique and delicious touch. I also loved their sushi, which was fresh and beautifully presented, and the Singaporean noodles were perfectly spiced and full of flavor.
Highly recommend if you're in the area and want a memorable dining experience!

Save the money and get a frozen meal from Harris Teeter. Ordered vegetarian spring rolls and national fried rice. Spring rolls were mushy inside and the rice tasted like a prepared meal from the freezer section. Lemon mint water is a nice touch, but it is served in a scratched plastic water container. They should invest the money spent on the expensive looking atmosphere on the food. They also charge gratuity to your bill for you. No big deal, but unless you notice it - they won't tell you.

I loved Grace’s and I’ve eaten there many times. However, on Friday, 15 Nov 25 while being seated I was seated at a table in front of the elevator. A table that should only be used if the restaurant is extremely busy. It was a high-traffic area and the table looks like it was added after the original decor. I asked if I and my six-year-old guest could sit at an open corner table. The greeter said the table was reserved. There was nothing on the table to indicate that it was reserved. Upon leaving that table remained vacant and I did not enjoy my meal due to the surrounding traffic, noise, and a greeter who decided that her decision was the best for my dinner plans.

I love this place. I’ve been going since it was first built. It is one of the original staples in the National Harbor and the food and service is still top notch. I’ve moved from the area and still go here when I visit even though the Harbor has many other options now, which I have also tried. This is one of the best for Asian in the entire DMV.

In all honesty it's a slightly above average Asian restaurant in an above average area. You're not paying for the food, you're paying for the convenience of eating at a nicer area.
There's nothing on the menu you won't find at every other Asian restaurant across the country.
You'll notice i say Asian because while it says mandarin in the name, that stops at the decor.
30 dollars for a bowl of noodles, 16 for cocktails, and about the same for apps. There's also sushi.
Large portions, but nothing that really sets it apart from takeout.

Seams that is a little detail you would avoid. My tea was awful, and the waiter would not remove it even though I only took a sip. The food was good and flavorful. Unfortunately don’t go for the service, go for a unique experience. Oh and don’t be surprised, they automatically add gratuity to your check. No reason to perform here.

I will say, I have come ti this establishment often enough at least a dizen times int he last few years, but will not be returning. Every time I come, we at least have a party of 10 of folks I bring because I want to eat here.
I had a party of 11 with one waiter to start and it was my birthday and I left not eating. I got here at 6:45 and didn't get seated until after 8. OK, no worries, I have a large party. But again, we have one waiter servicing us outside the norm when everyone normally is the server.
Our food was slow to come out first off. We had to send several things back like to soup because it was extremely salty, and two of us, me being one of the two and the birthday girl, had surf and turf. Mind you, I ordered my food at least 10 minutes before everyone else, so my food should have come out first, which it did not. My food came out with everyone else's. My lamb chops and crab cake we cold, and my lamb was not medium as I ordered, and the lamb was tough. A far cry from any of the other experiences I have had in this restaurant because I always order the same thing.
So I send my food back because no one wants cold meat and seafood. The manager, Andrea, which so happens to share the same name as I do, the birthday girl who didn't eat, comes out. Ask us what happened to our food. We explained, and I said, "Please just give me another menu. I will order something else." She tells us no, we can't have another menu either she makes new lamb chops, or we can't have anything else off the menu. Are you kidding me. You are going to force me to eat something I don't want. My food pbviously was sittingnin a window somwwhere because I should have had my food well before everyone else at the table. My sister, however, opted for the refire. They gave her the same plate with the same food and vegetables, and this time, the lamb chops were much smaller lambchops and burnt this time. After the manager assured her the food would be fine. I opted for nothing because I'm spending MY MONEY and what you are not going to tell me is I have to eat what you already messed up the first time and you won't make me something else not after my tables bill was almost $800 your not. Needless to say, I won't be coming back here again and I will take my party somewhere else. Get the waiter some help who seemed to be very overwhelmed with a large party.

I ordered take out from the restaurant so cannot comment on the service or atmosphere.
I ordered crab rangoon, Tsunami roll and a strawberry cheesecake total came to about $53. The crab rangoon had 4 pieces that were triangular shaped with shredded cheese melted on top. It was ok tasting. The tsunami roll had 5 pieces, taste was ok. The strawberry cheese cake was small & round, ok tasting.
Overall, the quality of food was mediocre and definitely NOT worth the price! I would not recommend this establishment.

Dishes are a hit or a hard miss.
No dish we had was above 3 stars. 18% gratuity added for subpar service and food. Server clearly didn’t want to be there. He never smiled and had an unpleasant look on his face the entire time. Large party ordered multiple dishes with shrimp but all were overcooked. Lamb was bland and beef was overcooked. Crab cake, sushi, chicken, fried rice, wings, all tasted fine. Udon was bland, noodles were bland, drinks were hit or miss. Waste of money. Don’t recommend and definitely won’t be returning.

Emma was awesome! There was a lack of air conditioning at Grace Mandarin in Maryland during my recent visit. This really took away from the atmosphere as a whole. It's important for businesses to provide a comfortable environment for their customers, so I would recommend addressing this issue immediately!!! It is hard to recommend the food based on the lack of a more comfortable environment!!

The decor is charming but the food is second rate at best. From the outside Grace's has a definite PF Chang's vibe. There are many various Asian decorations and the water feature is pleasing. The wait staff were attentive and polite. The food was adequate; quality of food and portions were good. There are many recognizable dishes and others that may be renamed.
The rating is more for the value, or lack of it, in this case. The food although acceptable, was not anywhere near worth the price. I can understand that the area can command a higher price however, the food itself was not that different from your local take out place and in some cases not as good.

Bottom line - I was expecting a more elevated experience. Given the price point, the food should be out of this world. Unfortunately for me, they missed the mark.
The atmosphere is amazing. With the price point I would expect close to perfection for the food but they were not there. I enjoyed my dinner but it was not a 5 star meal. First up was the seaweed salad - this was a delight, but I don’t know how it was elevated above any other seaweed salad I’ve had before. Then, hot and sour soup - it was flavorful but it was touted as wild mushroom hot and sour. I thought mushrooms would be the star, sadly there were a few small pieces floating on top. Again, not elevated. Lastly, I had the sexy salmon roll. Nothing sexy here again. I thought at $20 it would be mind blowing. Yet the tempura crunch was what stood out, not the salmon. Unfortunately the roll was not even perfect - paper thin salmon on top and also lacking consistency. This definitely was not elevated and I could’ve got a similar roll from door dash for $12.
I wanted to love it but they let me down.

All of the decors around this restaurant are authentic Chinese. Loved it! The dishes were basically Americanized. We liked the eggplant a lot. Our waitress seemed to have had a bad day- no smile throughout our meal and often frowned. I didn’t like that we were charged a 18% gratuity when the bill was presented to us- we are not a six-people party. Ordered a couple of Goose Idland IPAs. For food, we ordered Cantonese Tiger Beef and Kowloon Crispy Pork.
What do I like best with Grace's Mandarin? The ambience and the view.
What about the food? Well... it missed the Wow factor... I walked in and thought I'd get great food but alas, I did not...

The restaurant assistant manager and owner never got back in touch with me and they did not take my concerns serious, so I decided to write a review.
My family and I went to this restaurant for a meal. I went in the restaurant feeling fine. I ordered eggplant with brown rice. When we left the restaurant I started not to feel well. I walk a little to see if it would ease up but it didn't. When I got in the car and we were driving I began to vomit all the food up and when I got home it continued along with other things that comes with eating bad food. I was really sick , so my daughter called several times before she was able to speak with someone. My daughter and I were told they would have to do an investigation. I had to go to the doctor because I felt so bad. It has been almost 2 weeks and I have not heard from anyone at this business. Horrible experience!

This restaurant is beautiful inside and the food and drinks delicious. The service was slow and inattentive however, probably because 18% service charge is automatically charged regardless of the size of the party. We spent 2.5 hours here with 2 adults and 2 kids, too long for the amount of food ordered. Next time will look at other dining options in the area.

Wow… what a huge disappointment. I have been to Graces several times POST pandemic (never pre, wasn’t in the area) and have had an amazing experience! Food was amazing, ambiance was amazing, and it justified the bill….
With ALL that being said, I was craving some delicious “Asian American cuisine” and decided on Graces for a bite before my Wine tasting event…
Arrived at 3pm. The restaurant wasn’t crowded which was nice because they don’t take reservations..
My party of 2 was seated wayy in the back at a corner booth table (seemed strange, considering I’ve always been seated in the main part), but it was what it was. Our waitress, Ivy, was pleasant enough. We were hungry so we ordered right away. Chose the General Tsos cauliflower and spring rolls to start. The cauliflower pieces were Extremely LARGE and difficult to eat/cut, especially since they don’t give you a knife. I remember them being smaller in size and more manageable to eat. The flavor was ok, and they weren’t HOT, kinda tastes like they made them before the spring rolls were fried off… the spring rolls only had 3 and they were left whole, can’t remember if this is how they were typically served.. and as far as taste… kinda plain and mushy in the inside. If it weren’t for the sauce…
Next, we were kinda rushed with ordering our entrees, the waitress asked about our Entrees BEFORE we even received the Appetizers… 😒😒…
My date ordered the small plate of lamb chops and Raved about their Broccoli dish, she remembered it being delicious and served with this brown sauce.
I chose the Basic Fried rice, no protein, but there was some confusion about the vegetables, I believe I said I didn’t want to ADD veggies, but how it came was fine. My waitress heard NO VEGGIES, and I received a bowl of FRIED RICE WITH EGG… NO VEGGIES what so ever!! Btw.. the broccoli was no longer this delicious dish, it was literally just large chunks of steamed broccoli with some garlic.
I’ll move on the main reason for this LOW review.
We were seated in the back, and adjacent to this table where a young lady held an HOUR plus FACETIME CALL ON HER PHONE (with 3 people (my date saw the screen at one point)… her voice was overbearingly LOUD and her topics very inappropriate for a restaurant! We could barely hear each other and enjoy OUR time.
We tried to ignore it, HOPING that with each passing minute, the CALL would end! It never did.
When we finally couldn’t take it any longer, we informed Ivy, who apologized and confirmed she could hear it as well. She went to inform the Manager.
When Andrea, the manager, came over, her response to OUR discomfort was poorly received and handled. She simply said, “i can’t put her out the restaurant, it will cause a scene”… FIRST, How can you ASSUME what the outcome will be before even making an attempt… 2nd, which WE actually SAID, was I’m not asking you to completely remove her, no one said that, but as the Manager of the restaurant, your responsibility is for ALL the guests experience, and you can ASK her to take her call off the restaurant floor so that other guests can enjoy their experience.
To which Andrea then DEFLECTED and said She wishes we would have said something earlier and we could have been moved and it looks like they (the other party) is leaving now”.
At this point, my date and I were over Her and the entire experience, our dessert had arrived and we said “thank you, that will be all, and we just want to finish our dessert”. Andrea awkwardly stood there and said are you sure. I replied YES.. she stood for another moment and asked again, I STERNLY said, YES, we are fine, you may leave so we can enjoy our dessert. Thanks
She then walked away.
Poorest customer service Experience at such a Caliber of a restaurant EVER…. Not sure what has happened, but for a $150 experience.. I Expected Much better, from the food to the ambience to the service.
Can’t say I’ll be running to have Graces EVER again…
In this day and age, you are only as good as your LAST SERVICE!!!

First time going and it was just okay. Ordered crab Rangoon as an app. They put shredded cheese on top. I asked if this is how they normally come and he said yes. The filling had no flavor. Ordered the mandarin chicken that was tasteless as well. The potions were large but it lacked flavor. Great views! The service was okay. The water was delicious that they served.

My husband and I had wanted to visit this restaurant for some time, we always said let's go, let's go but we never had the opportunity, yesterday, March 17, 2024, we decided to go to celebrate our 14th anniversary, we had a great time since We entered, the atmosphere is extremely great, it definitely takes you to some place in Asia, the service was a 10, the girl who served us was very warm and friendly. As for the food, it was delicious starting with Korean Seafood Soup 🍲 Delicious, a little spicy but it had so many great flavors that my husband and I didn't stop eating until we finished 😅😅then we ordered a Golden Shrimp Roll sushi service with a touch of mango Extremely great, my husband ordered the Herb Garlic Grilled Lamb Rack. He was fascinated by the flavor and the softness of the meat. He definitely gave it a 10. Lastly, we ordered National Harbor Rice. WE LOVED IT. This time we passed on dessert because we had already eaten too much, but it sure tastes delicious and we will return to try them. It was a delicious, unique and cozy experience so we will definitely return next time.🙏🏻🤗

We took my mom for her birthday and they gave her the nicest birthday gift! The food was delectable (General's Cauliflower, Spring Rolls and Mandarin Green Salad for appetizers). The signature cocktails were good too. I was so impressed with this place. The waiter was also kind and patient with my parents, which I appreciated. Additionally, I enjoyed a lovely little photo shoot on the steps because the atmosphere is 🔥🔥🔥

Beautiful place And the surface was very good but the food was very poor. I got the drunken noodles and they were overcooked very bland.. My husband got the beef and broccoli which was also very bland.

The aesthetics of the place are above average and the musical ambiance was pleasant and relaxing. However the food was mediocre at best, unacceptably so for how exceedingly pricey it is. I've had better sushi for a quarter the price at a supermarket. Much better for half the price at any decent sushi place. If you can't get a simple California roll right for $7.00, don't serve sushi.
Further, the service was outright objectionable, I nearly walked out after a bartender slammed my glass down when refilling it with water.
For a place that puts on such high airs, I was deeply disappointed in the food and service, and won't be dining here again.
Edit: at the insistence of a friend, I gave this place another try.
Do *NOT* trust the gluten-free menu. I ordered the Panang curry and informed the waiter of my allergy. I've had the worst gluten reaction I've had in years from this. Way beyond a cross contamination, it's taken me out for a full day now. I'm pretty sure the sauce was just a straight up flour Roux. There are some seriously messed up people running this place.
Zero stars, never again. Don't go here ever.

My best friend and I went to this place and while the decoration and theme is cute, the food is horrid. Top 3 worse dishes and food I’ve ever had the displeasure of eating. Everything was left. From beginning till end. Terrible food. The basil fried rice was atrocious. The server never asked why we left the food. She knew why. It’s unacceptable.

Came highly recommended but I did not feel the meals were worth the price. All three had water, no drinks. Friend 1, had the crab cake dinner. Said it tasted very good. The 2 cakes together
did not equal a lb but her total was $53 (tax & tip). Friend 2, had the salmon dinner which she took home to "fix up". Her meal was $30?. I had the chicken shrimp mandarin combo. Not bad but not great. Not enough for $35. The wait staff was great, attentative, friendly and informative. However, neither waiter knew how to split the check so CCs could be used. Even after telling them how much to charge to each CC. They don't do separate checks. So if in a party, going in separate directions afterwards, bring cash.

I purchased the crunchy salmon roll, spider roll and shrimp tempura roll. I was very disappointed and I spent $51 on this meal. The flakes on the crunchy salmon roll were stale and I could taste the OLD oil the crab and shrimp were fried in for the other two rolls. I had a terrible after taste and needless to say I wouldn’t recommend.

I've been here 2 times before The food was good, I decided to revisit it and it was a huge disappointment. prior I had ordered the Korean ribs and it was delicious & tender. yesterday the Korean ribs were burned, sent back, 2nd order 2 ribs were good and the rest burnt. I was so disappointed because I drove across the state to have the ribs.

Grace's has been my choice as a premium dining experience. It's failed to fulfill that in recent years. First, 18% automatic gratuity, along with subpar dishes...doesn't make sense. Secondly, the food quality has diminished. Third, they no longer offer jumbo crab meat fried rice. This is my last time dining. Sure, Grace's Mandarin will not remain too much longer.

First visit to this location, but we have always loved the original location in the old mall in Bowie. Will definitely be returning. We loved the food and the atmosphere. The wait was about 10 minutes.
Went back last weekend and had more great service and food. Definitely a go to for good food, ambiance and service.

I had an amazing food experience here. The National Harbor, Lamb chops, smoked salmon sushi, edamame, spring rolls, crab Rangoon was so good. The wu tang and strawberry mule drink was hitting! The fruit water was refreshing. It’s a lot of nice touches here. From the hot napkins to clean your hands to putting your purse on the little chair. The scenery is beautiful to include the bathroom.

My recent dining experience at this establishment left much to be desired. Regrettably, the service fell short of expectations, with our party encountering challenges in receiving attentive assistance from the staff. Despite the presence of two waitresses assigned to our table, our interactions were characterized by a lack of engagement and presence, which was disappointing given our group's anticipation for a positive inaugural visit.
As patrons, we value attentive service and understand the importance of gratuities as a reflection of quality service. However, despite the inclusion of an 18% gratuity, our experience did not align with the level of service we anticipated. We believe that genuine attentiveness should be standard regardless of gratuity, and unfortunately, this was not the case during our visit.
Furthermore, the culinary offerings, while adequate, did not surpass a mediocre standard. As discerning diners, we had hoped for a more memorable gastronomic experience that would justify a return visit. Regrettably, we cannot in good faith recommend this establishment to others based on our experience.
In summary, our visit left us feeling overlooked and underwhelmed. For those seeking an immersive dining experience marked by attentive service and culinary excellence, we suggest exploring alternative dining options.

This restaurant is hilariously overpriced for exceptionally mediocre food. Came here on a Saturday night for dinner around 5-530 PM. Was seated promptly and put in our order shortly after. We ordered Singapore rice noodles with pork, crispy salt and pepper tofu, a kid's fried rice, smoked salmon with cream cheese, and a "The Rosada" drink.
The Singapore rice noodles were just OK. The curry mix is not as thick as typical Chinese places do it where you might see some clumps of curry powder and you get that curry "grittiness" from the noodles. No shrimp or long slices of onion, mainly green onion and mung bean sprouts. The pork was on the dry side, I feel like they could have done a better job with the meat velveting for a stir fry noodle dish that costs 25 DOLLARS~1!! And, I would rate it as sub par versus a take out Chinese place.
The crispy salt and pepper tofu was the worst. It's like one package of tofu, 1/3 of a zucchini, an a handful of broccoli florets for 27 dollars?!?! The fried tofu had nice texture, but the taste was bland. I didn't get any hint of salt or pepper. Then my wife was saying there was grit in the dish. It was grit and not large chunks of salt because the grit did not taste salty and the dish was bland. The hypothesis is the green onion that was sliced in was not properly cleaned and the grit in between onion stalks got into the dish. The margin on this dish must be insane.
Not much to say about the sushi. Six pieces of AAA battery diameter sushi for 10 dollars. Not enough to satisfy a 4 year old.
The kid's fried rice was egg only. Not bad, good separation on the rice and nicely seasoned. The fried rice was accompanied by those crispy things you usually get with an order of soup from a Chinese restaurant, one quarter of a green apple, and a small chocolate chip cookie. Only 15 dollars AHHHHHHHHHHH.
Lastly the drink was nothing special. Nothing notable on the presentation - black straw in a clear 12 oz. glass with ice. Light pink in color, strong alcohol flavor, no hint of anything resembling grape fruit (as the menu suggests).
I can't believe we paid so much for such mediocre to below average "Chinese"/Japanese (sushi) food. It must be the area and they need to hike the prices sky high to pay for the location. I should have just gone to Fogo and loaded up on a year's worth of cholesterol to start the year off right.
In my opinion, the only upside is the service. Our server was friendly and prompt. They also have Dr. Disrespect working as a maitre d. We dropped a fork and the moment I turn my head after picking it up, he was there with a new one. Amazing. The 18% gratuity tagged onto every check is deserved.
If you're thinking of eating here, I'd recommend somewhere else if you're aiming for Chinese food closer in flavor to a typical Chinese restaurant or your favorite take out place. The place was pretty packed though. I don't understand where people get all this money to eat here. It's probably peer pressure.
