I have been going to Fuji since they have been open. Tonight I ordered a to go order and there was hair in my food. I called Fuji and they wanted me to drive all the way back to see the hair in my food, instead of refunding my money. This is a terrible practice and I will never support this establishment again. There was no apology. This is very poor customer service. I hope it was worth losing a loyal customer. I do not recommend this place to anyone. Make sure you check your food while you are eating it. Very sad and disappointing.

We love going out for Hibachi and locally this is a great spot. The food is great and the service is too. This trip we were a disappointed because we told them that we were celebrating my son's birthday and they ignored it entirely. We sat with a party that had allergies and as a result we didn't get the full show. That meant limited entertainment while the food cooked. However the connecting hibachi grill when our chef left got the whole show and the happy birthday singing with the drum, so I was disappointed that they treated us with disregard. Nothing to be said or down since our food was cooked and served and they were beginning theirs but we watched and they had the meal and experience we expect when we come so not sure why we were shorted on this trip.

I recently visited Fuji for a team lunch with my coworkers, and it was an experience worth sharing. Having heard great things about this place, I was eager to check it out.
First off, they handled our large group of ten with ease, which was impressive. We were seated around a hibachi grill, setting the stage for a fun and interactive meal.
The chef not only dazzled us with his cooking skills but also kept us entertained with his friendliness and culinary skills. It was a fantastic start to our meal.
To begin, I had the miso soup and an appetizer called "A Bite of Tuna." This dish featured a mix of mango, cucumber, and pepper tuna sushi. While it might sound like an odd combination, it was incredibly delicious. The sweetness of the mango added a unique twist to the sushi that I had never experienced before.
For my main course, I chose the steak and chicken combination entrée from the hibachi grill, paired with fried rice and noodles. The steak was cooked to perfection, juicy and tender, while the chicken was equally delicious and complemented perfectly by the yum yum sauce.
Overall, Fuji provided a fantastic dining experience. The food was amazing, the chef's performance was a highlight, and the ability to accommodate our large group was much appreciated. I’ll definitely be coming back soon, and I highly recommend Fuji for anyone looking for a fun and delicious lunch spot.

This is the third time I have tried Fuji and been disappointed. First two times have been in person and this time take out. The food simply is lacking in flavor. For what you pay it’s not worth it! Look somewhere else.
Literally plain chicken with no seasoning. Their yum yum sauce is also flavorless.

Overall the experience was nice. The food is decent. I ordered salmon and shrimp Hibachi, shrimp tempura rolls, soup and mushrooms. My salmon was cooked a little to long for my liking and not much flavor. Also, the rice and veggies were cold by the time the protein was cooked. Not sure if it was because we had a large party and the time to prepare for the group.

First I would like to note I have been to this restaurant several times for both togo and dine in both with and without my kids but this is the first time I have experienced this horrible service. I went for dinner for my birthday with my friend, her 2 year old, and my 5 and 6 year old. My 5 year old has a ton of food aversions so I decided to just order him some wings and do a side of the hibachi noodles (his usual) and my daughter was going to do the soup and just noodles (her usual) however I was cutoff while ordering my 5 year old’s just for the waitress to tell me that all of the children had to order the kids hibachi no exceptions since it was 5 of us and in their words hibachi had to make up 18% of our check to reach a certain amount of their mandatory 18% gratuity. Although I have been here with my same two kids and even though we read the full two page printout of their rules about the increased prices that would be more than what would be printed in the menu and how ordering your food at a table and not at the hibachi grill can cause your food to taste vastly different, and how they do not offer refunds if your food comes out nasty, nowhere did it state this rule that children in the restaurant had to eat or order the full kids hibachi meal. Even though the chicken and the noodles that we were going to order in place of the kids meal added up to more than the kids hibachi meal and my friend and I both ordered the shrimp, scallop and fillet hibachi which is one of the most expensive options for hibachi on their menu, and we both ordered alcoholic beverages and would have ordered more than one and dessert since we were celebrating my birthday, they decided to argue with us that our children had to get the hibachi because to them it cost more and their gratuity would have been larger. While we were there the restaurant was empty besides another two top table that was finishing up , two people they sat at our table and another family of five or so that had walked in after us with about 8 other empty tables. I could understand if they were saying “hey we have to move you to a table you cant be at a grill if most of your party doesn't order hibachi,” but they were small kids and they said themselves the food ordered to a table and not the grill taste different and the restaurant was empty so it wasn’t like we were holding up seats from a line of people waiting for the grill. Also if this is a rule it should be listed on their two pages of rules they have at the front of the menu or stated before seating a party. We ended up telling them we no longer wanted to eat there and still decided to pay for the fountain drinks that had just been delivered to the table so the kids could take them but they still tried to charge the 18% gratuity, up-charged for all of the drinks and tried to charge my friend for the water she ordered. The manager and waitress were rude from the beginning and very unprofessional and unpleasant. To tell the waitress “just get them out of here” because a person asked questions and never even come to the table to address us yourself as the “manager” is uncalled for. Idk if they have new management, owners, or what but they are definitely going downhill and are not the place I know and use to love. Also beware of anything on the menu that does not have a price listed because they will make it whatever price they feel like charging you know the moment. Even with the restaurant being dead and empty, service was still slow as well. I would say they ruined my bday but we found somewhere else to go and had a great time and my kids were able to still get their hibachi noodles.

I rarely write negative reviews, but my experience at Fuji was so disappointing that I feel compelled to warn others. From the moment we walked in, it was clear that customer service was not a priority for this establishment.
The typical hibachi entertainment was reduced to a few half-hearted onion volcano attempts and a lackluster egg-juggling display. The chef did not cook any of the steak to our requested temp. He overcooked the shrimp, scallops, and lobster despite us repeatedly asking him to take them off the grill.
Save your money and special occasions for somewhere else. There are plenty of other hibachi restaurants around that
understand both customer service and value. This place seems to survive solely on its location and 18% gratuity rather than any actual merit.

This place used to be better. Now you only get a soup OR salad with hibachi not both. Waiter was rude and rushed us and wouldn't allow me to change my noodles out for rice instead. They used to allow this as well. Portions are smaller. Just not as good of an experience compared to a few years back. Sushi quality has also gone down.

We were a party of 9. We were sat and handed menus and immediately asked what we wanted to order. We were told that because we filled the whole table with our party, they wanted us to hurry up and order. After I asked for just a few minutes to look over the menu, our order was taken, and then we barley saw the server 3 of us did not receive our steamed rice until over half way through our meal and the food was unusually salty this time. We've been here a few times over the years, and this was one of the most disappointing times

Food was good. Setting was extremely tight, could barely lift arms to eat. My biggest issue was that the chef started serving food to his right every time. I was last on his left. By the time he got to me my portion was significantly less than everyone else. I suggested that he start serving on the left sometime so we could get some food as well. He did not. My husband paid for double chicken and shrimp but since he kept serving us last we didn't get the food that we paid for. I was annoyed that I paid for the chicken and filet and barely got any steak.

I had a very disappointing experience with a recent pick-up order at Fuji Restaurant. Not only was the customer service lacking, but my order was missing basic condiments, which I only realized after getting home. The scallops were tough and overcooked, and the seasonings across the dishes were bland, leaving the food tasting underwhelming. Given the lack of attention to both the food quality and service, I won’t be returning. I’d recommend looking elsewhere if you want a restaurant that gets the details right.

If I could give 0 stars I would! Just came in for lunch and ordered hibachi at the girl. I was with my dad and younger brother, he order sushi lunch thinking that it would be a sushi roll but it was pieces. We asked if we could switch it out the server said that we’d have to talk to the manager and then she would maybe do something about it. She comes over and i ask could we get a shrimo tempura roll and California roll instead because he didn’t know what he was ordering (he’s 14) she then says “no he should’ve been more responsible and knew what he was ordering i can’t take it off for you” very rude and condescending then the food wasn’t even good. I ordered the chicken and shrimp hibachi it was 2 shrimp that came with it. Overall 0/5 stars don’t eat here.

We ordered take out on 10/19/24 - we picked up our food with the correct order number. We got home after 1.5 hours in traffic on route 3 due to an event Bowie State was having at the race track. Excited to eat our food finally, our order was completely wrong. I called Fuji to let them know, and they apologized and admitted they made a mistake with our order. However, they would not do anything for us or give us a refund unless we drove back and returned the food. Meaning, we would have to go back and sit in that traffic just to get our money back. So now we are out of food (we can not eat the food they gave us because of allergies the food the mistakenly gave us) and out of money. Completely unacceptable and disappointing. We will not return service here and will let all of our family & friends about this incident.

I love this hibachi restaurant! It has always been a favorite of ours. We haven't gone in a couple of years and decided to meet family here. We were surprised that they did not take reservations, only "call ahead seating" which they said they would try to help us.w We got seated and the waitress was very slow to get to us, including the family who was across from us that had been there for a while before we came. We also learned that they now only let you choose between soup and salad, rather than getting both which is kind of disasapointing for the price. When the chef came, we learned that the waitress wrote the orders down wrong which made it confusing for him. He ended up forgetting an entire order of fried rice for our table, but we let it go. The chicken was very unseasoned and bland. However everything else was very seasoned and delicious. The chef was excellent and very engaging. They also do not do the saki unless you ask now.

This food was absolutely horrid! I would say more, but I am still speechless. I paid $121 for the worst food I had in the last five years, and that was spoiled. They will not refund you for your suffering.
Beware of sitting at the table versus the hibachi!
You have been warned, but you are welcome to join me in my misery.

I have been going to Fuji for years and always thoroughly enjoyed the food. However over the last several months, the quality has declined. Today was the last straw. I spent over $200 in takeout for my family of 6, only to get home and realize that every single meal was inedible. The noodles had a distinct order, the fried rice was not fried at all, the steak was over cooked, and the rest of the protein (scallops, shrimp, and lobster) was like eating paper. No flavor at all. When I called and offered to drive the 30 minutes back to the store to return the food and get a refund, I was told it was impossible because it was through a third party. Please don’t waste your money here. I will not be returning.

Nothing spectacular. It's much louder, which is cool for the environment. The server was great; very attentive and polite. I was surprised to hear that the hibachi offer soup (broth) OR salad... New management?? How is that?! The drink cost increased and surprisingly, the glasses were smaller! Mr. Miogi didnt even engage the table while preparing our food. We only got to watch another table getting hammered by saki pours and food tossed... I should've sat at that grill. Maybe I'll try again but no rush because it seemes the last visit prior to new management, quality, portions, and moral left!

First off, we were seated with two other parties which made it extremely crowded even though the place was practically empty. Had the filet mignon and shrimp combo. Received a quarter of the filet mignon and 4 shrimp. The 18% gratuity fee is used to pay the workers and for an extraordinary experience 😂. All of the food lacked flavor. Definitely not worth the price for barely mediocre food and portions.

I think this restaurant is good for a hibachi experience, however when my friends and I dined in on the sushi side of the restaurant, we had issues upon paying for the check. The menu states that 18% gratuity is added onto the check, regardless of the size of your party, so they can ensure their employees are paid a fair wage. This seems like something the restaurant should work to improve and not put this on the guest, but my group typically tips anywhere from 20-25% so this initially was not an issue. However, once the check came I saw it cost $4 total ($2 each) for 2 sides of spicy mayo to go with the sushi ordered, I asked the waitress where on the menu it states the cost is $2 for one small side of this sauce. She said the menu says additional sauce costs extra. I said had it been communicated that $2 was the upcharge for a simple side of spicy mayo, our table would not have ordered it. While yes they do have in the menu sauce costs extra, I noted to the waitress we would have appreciated it if the cost of the extra sauce ($2 each) had been communicated, because we did not notice sauce cost extra initially. In most other sushi restaurants our group had been to, if you dine-in, requesting a little more spicy mayo wouldn't be considered an upcharge.
The root of the issue was our waitresses demeanor once I mentioned we just would have appreciated if she told us it was $2, that's all. She became defensive, said she entered it in the computer and that's what it said, and said well I can get the manager then. So I just said sure, then the manager came over, and reiterated it says sauce costs extra and there's a sign up front that says it too. Neither the waitress nor the manager that approached our table were getting the point, and both were very defensive. We understood it costs extra, but just that in the future, it would be a courtesy to the table to let them know how much extra it's going to cost. This is customer service 101. A very small side of spicy mayo for $2 for a dine-in sushi meal is expensive and like I mentioned, we would not have ordered it had we known the cost. Then on top of this unpleasant interaction, our table now had a mandatory 18% tip to pay when our waitress was less than pleasant at the end of this experience. We walked away with a very different opinion of this restaurant than the one we came in with. Just very disappointing and we just wanted them to acknowledge they maybe should have mentioned the price to us, but they were defensive the entire time and unwilling to really listen to what we were saying.

First impression, illumination is low so it's just a bit dark. You have to wait until more people arrive...20 minutes 🙄. We were actually the first to arrive at an empty table and after 15 minutes we respectfully asked could we move front and center. Part of the hibachi experience is watching the chef prepare the food. We simply wanted to move from the side and sit in front of the chef while he prepared the food, much better view. Not allowed, according to the server/coordinator who was on Buckingham Palace watch at the table while we waited🙄. Rules are rules, people are people and options are choices that can be chosen or refused. We respectfully chose NOT to dine at the FHSLB that day.

Greetings. My husband and I were invited to have lunch at Fuji by our close friends to celebrate their 40th marriage anniversary. It was our first visit there, and we were elated. Both our families and friends were seated automatically at the hibachi table (later, we found out there was also an optional dining area that was for customers who didn't want hibachi).
The party consisted of 11 adults, one small child, and an infant. We immediately received menus to place our orders. Our patient and wonderful host took each of our selections and returned with a round of our choice beverages. So now, here's the dilemma. Ugh! After waiting for an additional 15 minutes, the host returned with a message from the kitchen. She said that since there were only five of us who chose hibachi, so we had to purchase two extra hibachi meals to make up the difference for the number of customers sitting at the hibachi table. WHAT? You are kidding me. That's nonsense! So, you give us a menus, but try and make us eat hibachi only. Nope, not good service. Outraged, our friends asked to speak with the manager. The manager comes out with a mad attitude. She tried to convince our friends about their method of operation for serving large numbers of guests surrounding the hibachi table, and that at least 9 of our 11 had to order hibachi when seated at that table, regardless if the desire was to only order choice foods from the menu. Of course, without a doubt in my mind, when the manager saw a large party, it was assumed that we all were ordering hibachi. Fuji never even mentioned the dining area option for ordering from the menu only. No doubt, more money for Fuji. However, the manager tried feverishly to convince it was how they operate and literally argued loudly and angrily, where customers at the adjacent tables stopped to listen. Her voice was so high, and she talked over top of our friend's voice, not wanting to hear what was being said. After the manger semi-calmed her rage, she said that she'll allow it in our favor that time. Our whole party was uncomfortable and thought to leave, thinking our food would be compromised. Anyways, we stayed. Once the cook came out with the food, he proceeded to our table, then turned his back, and proceeded to cook on the table of guests that came in way behind us. As soon as we noticed and were about to address that issue, hurriedly, here comes our server 5 minutes later. After all that mess, our cook was really ho hum and not as jovial and show playful as we knew it to be the norm in these types of Also, the food portions was minimal and subpar restaurants. As we watched the other tables, there was show play, excitement, and laughter. At this point, we were really outdone. After about 20 minutes of eating time, our fun day was dampened by such unprofessionalism. Our morale became confusing and quiet, having to go through such stupidity. A few of us asked for take out containers, as we just wanted the time in this place to be over. Needless to say, my husband and I will never ever come to this restaurant again! The embarrassed faces of our friends afterward made us sad. So, we didn't talk about the experience to them and now we all are relieved. I know they appreciated us sharing their special day, but we will definitely celebrate someplace else next time. Fuji, let your guests know your method of operation before hand, that way, you will know how and what dining area to seat them. It's called giving options!

Just got back from a hibachi restaurant, and let me tell you, it was quite the adventure! The food was solid, and they load you up so much that you'll have leftovers for days. But our chef was having an off day—first, he drops the knives while twirling them...a bit of a heart-stopper there! 😬
Then, during his mushroom slicing extravaganza, one went rogue and hit my mom. Fresh off the grill and steaming hot, but she took it like a champ. The service was on the slower side; we had to wait quite a while for the chef to make his grand entrance.
Once the chef got into his groove, the food came out quickly and was delicious. I even managed to catch a shrimp in my mouth, so that was a win! Overall, it was a good show and a tasty meal. I'd recommend the place, but maybe go during off-peak hours to avoid the wait.

This place is MONEY HUNGRY!!!! We were seated promptly, but our server took an unreasonably long time to take our order. When they finally did, the server seemed rushed and inattentive. They added an 18% "service fee" to create an "extraordinary experience," and you get a server who does not even want to be there. All the extra hidden charges are ridiculous. I wouldn't be surprised if they started charging a fee to use their utensils. I do not recommend this place.

Food is great. I enjoyed the cooking in front of us. The good was fresh and tasted very good. The only problem that I had was how warm it was inside. It is already hot outside due to the summer but it was very humid inside with no relief and the floor is very slippery which makes it challenging to walk without feeling like you are going to slip and fall. Other than that I do recommend this place.

This was my first time here and I ordered fried rice and shrimp tempura. The food was good, but the yum yum sauce watery. The service was also good, but he could’ve used some help (that’s the only reason for the three stars). Overall, it’s good I would come back.

I come to Fiji mountain all the time! I even come by myself sometimes just for the hibachi. They are able to sit you pretty quickly. I think the longest wait I’ve had was 10 min. The food is always prepared well and I enjoy everytime. They can be a little pricey though

I ordered 2 rolls to go asking for no avocado from the gentleman at the desk and paid. Ten minutes later a rude woman came from the back and demanded I pay an additional $3 per roll for no avocado (what sense does that male to charge more to not put something on it)
I asked for a refund and she refused saying g they already made it while the guy at the register was puzzled as well. She said something to him in there language and he walked away.
Only to receive the sushi when I could clearly see the avocado was pulled off and could see the green on it.
So seems to me a cook didn't read the ticket correctly and complained and she overcharged for stupidity.
I'll never go back terrible service and attitude on your mistakes

TERRIBLE food and service experience for my daughter's graduation. Waited an hour for the cook to start, the meat was under cooked and the rice and vegetables were burt! Cross contamination of the food was the WORST!!!

Once upon a time, hibachi was a truly entertaining & economical way for a family to go celebrate or to simply experience a special dinner.
That is now a fairy tale. Especially at this Fuji Hibachi restaurant.
For the $225 price tag, for 3 adults and 1 child, Entrees are over priced with sub-par ingredients; a table chef that sped through the cooking experience like a line-cook, and a server that had no patience for any one & BE AWARE , they don't Believe a tip is your decision to be made. No matter your group number THEY ADD 18% GRATUITY AUTOMATICALLY. I'm sorry, but a tip is supposed to be the customers choice based on their opinion of service quality.
IMHO not worth any one's hard-earned money.

Fuji has gotten worse over the years! You used to get soup and salad, now you only get one. The cook was not friendly at all. The host got my order wrong after repeating multiple times. We sat with an empty cup of water the entire time, they never came back to fill the cup up. And they charge you extra for yum yum sauce while sitting down eating. NEVER COMING AGAIN!

Average at best.
Not like hibachi places I’m used to either. When you order a hibachi dinner here they only let you pick soup or salad, not both like every other hibachi place I’ve been to. They do however give you fried rice (at an extra charge as most places do) and noodles which were both really good. The chicken and shrimp had no flavor whatsoever and the veggies only consisted of zucchini and broccoli with onion if you were lucky enough to get a piece of the onion they put in it. They automatically charge you a tip just for eating there and the service/food didn’t warrant an extra tip on top of that in my opinion.
Someone in our group got scallops which were the last thing to come off the grill but the first to go on so they were burnt and not good by the time they were done.
One of the best parts about hibachi places is catching the shrimp that the chef will toss at you, but they don’t even do that. Instead you get to catch an uncooked piece of zucchini.
Not worth the price that hibachi places end up being.

Mandatory 18% tip for bad service👎
Visited 9 months ago
The only bad thing was the other customers ruining the experience by telling the chef to quiet down which made him settle down IDK about you but I feel that's the noise we should hear not your kid's screaming which is what it turned into.

Went for my daughters birthday, this is where she really wanted to go. Waiter needs a personality, because the one he has sucks. I would not return simply because he made our experience awful. By the way, I forgot to add that I was still in the restaurant when I gave my review, it was that bad that I couldn't wait to post. Never have I don't that.

Went for lunch. Got sushi. Sushi was pretty decent. However their pricing scam is why I'm disappointed. They add $1 to everything listed on their menu so they deceive you with unclear pricing. Then they add a mandatory 18% tip for subpar service. I understand making it mandatory for groups however it was only two of us. Overall unhappy with the experience.

We have been here before and continue to enjoy the restaurant. We were a little disappointed in the vegetables that came out a little rawr than we would have expected. The chicken was a little rubbery I'm not sure why that happened we've never had that happen before. However the steak the shrimp and the salmon were all delicious our Chef did a wonderful job of entertaining us and making the children with us and others happy. We look forward to going back again

Went here for my daughter's birthday. To start was a 25 minute wait....no big deal.... but 11 of us were cramed at a table it was very uncomfortable. Orders were rushed and inaccurate. I ordered salmon and was given shrimp. The chef and waiter argued about who made the error. 10 minutes later asked me to scrape the shrimp onto another plate. Are the waiter argued he heard shrimp. they fixed my order. My food was done last of course and we were rushed out with out being offered any drink refills or desert. But were handed our check with an automatic 18%. I feel so bad I took my daughter here for her birthday. And I am no karen...the entire table felt the experience was awful there was no show or flare to the cooking only horrible customer service. I if I could take it back I would of canceled my dinner. And took my family elsewhere. I have seen better customer service at checkers

As many have stated the staff is UNREASONABLE. This was my go-to sushi spot for many years, but I get the impression that if you're not one of them, then you're in for a treat regarding any sort of understanding or compromise. They are quick to charge for any and everything and when asked if I could exchange an order because it was not what I expected she said I would have to pay for a whole new meal. SMH! And please don't comment that you are sorry if you're not going to actually have an internal meeting that corrects this behavior.

This is not a disabled friendly restaurant!! we decided to eat here for my birthday. We have 3 children and one is disabled with Autism and will not eat this food(rice and noodles) we brought him his own meal, and we let them know ahead of time. We aren’t in anyway trying to be cheap. We are paying for 4 full Hibachi meals. When we showed up with. Our child was denied entry with his meal. They said he would set a bad example for the other costumers with bringing in outside food. My husband had to take him out to the car to eat his meal. We should have left then, but we were all very hungry. We will not be back!! and I don’t recommend this restaurant to anyone of my friends. Especially those with special needs kids.

My sole criticism is that these establishments automatically impute a 18% gratuity to my bill. Apart from this, the experience has consistently been exceptional. The bill for two individuals including our sushi roll, 2 beers, and a Mai Tai was over $100 during lunch time.

I have to make a review for Fuji. Me and my family came here on a random Friday to get sushi. The atmosphere was amazing nice and chill like we prefer. I ordered some kind of drink. As a male just ask for a regular glass if that’s your preference. I wasn’t a fan of the glass but the drink was good. I didn’t have time to take photos but I ordered a Shrimp Tempura roll, Spicy Tuna Roll, and a yellowtail Roll. Everything tasted fresh but I will say this is one of the most spiciest tuna rolls I have ever had. Good but beware of the spice.

I was very disappointed with the food. From the moment I began with the order. The waitress was quick to sell and not listen to the customer.
The tempura was the worst. Dry not light. Mayonnaise and ketchup type condiments. I most likely will not refer anyone to this particular Hibachi Sushi Bar.

The table across from us got their appetizers and and meal before us and we arrived and was seated 15 minutes before they got there. Took a party of 8 and the chef removed some of the food that was placed on the trays from the back. I literally got a spoon full of vegetables and the steak that my sister ordered was barely a NY Strip and most of it was fat. The manager told us it was nothing she could do about it….even though our bill was $375+. Would not recommend this place.

I honestly can’t believe I am writing this review. I have been coming to Fuji for years but after today I don’t think I will ever go back. Today we went with friends and got sushi. Saturday night so expected the wait and for food to be slow. I think the first
Problem I saw was there were 2 people both bartending, serving and taking orders. I ordered my roll which usually isn’t as spicy but today it was inedible. I took out what I could and ate what I could, mind you, we were seated at 730 didn’t leave till 10 because we were waiting for food and check for so long. The server brought salad instead of soup, okay cool. There were a lot of people so it happens. But then we noticed nobody really had their food. Then I asked for more water that took 20 minutes. Honestly I felt bad for the waiters and the kitchen because it seemed like the front wasn’t giving the kitchen enough time to catch up with orders even keep up with the tables they were already serving. When we asked for the check from the first server we saw the server was rude and dismissive. All in all, drink not good, Food subpar and if you are going to automatically do 18% gratuity, it should be deserved. On top of that a meal that is usually around 120-150 was literally 200, and not worth the up charge. Will not be going back.

First of all, this was my family’s first experience here. Normally for hibachi we go to Sakura, and have been very loyal to them. We were attending a birthday dinner for an extended family member. Despite having a reservation we waited for a while to sit down, honestly I can look past that as it was a Saturday night. I was not impressed with the server, she was short and rude with all of us. The chef was wonderful he saw that I had my infant and I could tell his performance was based on trying not to startle him. The food was okay, but the portions were disappointing considering price. Like I said we normally go to Sakura. Comparatively the portions are much smaller here, fried rice was an additional charge? You get either soup or salad not both. Just not worth it for the cost.
My older son dropped his fork on the floor and we tried for thirty minutes to get the server’s attention to bring a new one. Once we received a new one, not even ten minutes later we are being rushed out with checks and to go boxes. We were at the table for an hour from start to finish. The auto gratuity was ridiculous. I wanted to tip the chef but felt unfair that there was a tip already on the check and I have no idea who got it. I like to tip based on the quality of service. We will not be coming here again.

We was waiting for one guest who was walking up and she refuse to seat us. Furthermore, I was the one paying for everyone. We told her we could order for her and nothing. Literally and I mean literally our guest walked in a she proceeded to say to me “we treat everyone the same. That’s a lie. Smh
The manager Demi is the worst. The place is filled with people of color supporting this place. I notice the disrespect that certain Asian people do to people of color. I watch how they cater to white customers and make exceptions for them. I told her I would do this and she basically told me go right ahead, so I am. Totally disrespectful.

Valentines dinner.. waited 45 minutes for our appetizers.. everyone around us came afterwards sat got there food paid bill and left.. then they said it was gonna be another 30 mins for out food.. I said I wanted to just pay for what was brought to the table... then tried to add 18% gratuity.. I added the food up and tax and bounced ..they had the audacity to charge us for soup and salad that came with entries.. never again will I go there

I've been going here for 6 years. And over the years the food quality has gone down. And now, instead of salad and soup which you used to get, you gotta pay if you want both.!!!!! The chefs are mediocre now and don't put on a good show like they used to. For the amount of money i spend there when I go once or twice a month tonight was the by far the worst especially for Valentines day.... And of I don't want noodles or vegetables, I shouldn't have to pay for double fried rice when I'm not getting either of them. COME ON FUJI GET IT TOGETHER!!!!!

I’ve never had such terrible service that I’ve felt the need to do a review, and I work in customer service, but this place deserves 0 stars, unfortunately I have to give 1. My husband wanted to do hibachi for his birthday, and we’d been telling my son all about the experience for weeks so he was extremely excited counting down the days to dine here. My son moved to the seat next to me where he’d be able to see from the front, and the hostess came and told us to move. While I was trying to explain he was just really excited and it was his first hibachi experience she wouldn’t even take one minute of her time to listen to a word I said - instead speaking over me saying No No No. I understand they’re set in the seating arrangement, but had a couple come
5 mins ahead of us we would’ve been in the seats we were in. All I was looking for was a way to move to any seating arrangement where my son could still see from the front. Apparently we weren’t worth her time. We left with him in tears and looking for an alternate dinner to celebrate a birthday. We used to order take out from here all the time, but I will never give a penny to this place again. The rest of the staff seemed friendly, this woman was relentlessly rude.

My family cannot believe how poorly we were treated by the hostess/manager. She was rude and would not listen to us and was trying to force us into a seating corner and wait for the table to fill up on a very quiet night. My kids left crying by the way we were treated. Worst restaurant experience. Review responses say they will do something about it but please look at recent posts. They respond to negative reviews but nothing has changed. Recommend avoiding

We've been going here since 2015 and have loved it but will not be going anymore. They have really cut back on portions and really raised prices. A few years ago I noticed the vegetables with the hibachi dinner was shrinking so I opted for a side of extra vegetables (which was around $4.00). Since then (which has been about 1 year ago), we've moved farther away and decided to take the drive back to go have a nice lunch. I ordered my typical hibachi with extra vegetables and was horribly disappointed. The extra vegetables was literally 4 pieces of small broccoli and three pieces of zucchini. The total amount of vegetables I received didn't even equal the normal amount from a few years ago and I was charged over $8 for the extra side. Very sad to see this place go down like this... it was one of our favorites. I do not recommend going here...it looks like the restaurant has been taken advantage of by customers which in turn they are now taking advantage of customers.
