Sapporo II Japanese Restaurant

My first visit was the absolute most Blessed experience ever they are truly great people. My friend brought me from columbus ohio to have this awesome experience. I'm currently dealing with round 2 of cancer and I got sick while at the restaurant. Everyone was so helpful in making me feel real comfortable when i was feeling horrible for having got sick in they restaurant. My friend explained my situation to the owner and when we returned the next day the owner prepared a special dish just for me that when I say was AMAZING and agreed well with my stomach. I felt so touched and Blessed that they thought of me in this way, too come to with something that I could eat while struggling with cancer! I've gained some new team mates tonight. I will never forget this day or they kind unfiltered genuine love they shown me and they don't know me or my store but become family for what they done for me.

My favorite sushi restaurant/counter in Frederick. I’ve eaten a lot of sushi (of varying quality), from grocery store takeaway to fine dining spots up and down both coasts; I can confirm that this place is the real deal. They carry some truly great quality product and they know how to serve it the right way. The food is delicious and prepared + plated with care. Staff is friendly and attentive (including the robot). Great spot for a date night or a night out with friends. Remember to splurge for some toro sashimi - it’s always worth it.

This is my first time visiting this Japanese restaurant for lunch. The Tonkatsu Ramen I ordered came quickly and was delicious. The downside is the appearance of the ramen. Everything were submerged and too much soup, one would say. The pork is one of the best, I must say.

My colleague waited much longer for their sushi and sashimi. The waiter did come and explain it is due to a new sushi chef in training. Hope him pick up the pace faster.

Definitely, I will come back again and try different dishes!

i love this place....shhhhh... keep it our little secret. Just phenomenal. The most beautiful meal I have ever eaten and would have eaten everything again after a nap because I was in a food coma as soon as I got home. Superb! Stunning! Truly recommend. And we got to see a little family meal action going with the staff and the owners. What a novel concept? Treat your staff like family and then in turn your staff treats customers the same way.

This place is fantastic! It’s a bit more upscale but is worth it! The food is great! Some of the best sushi I’ve had recently! The gyoza was also very delicious! They use a little robot to deliver your drinks which I thought was super cute. The service was quick and she was very patient with our questions. I will definitely go back to try more of the menu!

The sushi here tastes amazing and their spicy edamame is to die for, but it really seems like they're understaffed because we waited over an hour for our food and the restaurant was not even busy.

We were offered ice cream as an apology for poor service and we initially accepted, but ended up declining it when they told us it would be another 10 minutes, but it ended up being another 20 minutes. We cancelled the remaining sushi that still hadn't arrived after waiting an additional 5 mins including the previous 20 minute and requested a discount, which they agreed to.

Best sushi in Frederick, hands down! We absolutely loved every bite of food, and we had a great conversation with the owner while sitting at the sushi bar. We will definitely be going back and bringing friends and family.

We went there for dinner. The service and presentation was outstanding. I don't take sushi but my guests tell me it was great. The other food was mediocre but we knew from reading reviews that this place was best for sushi. Price wise it's great for value.

Had a wonderful time with my family. Party of 6 on a Saturday night - they were able to squeeze us in. Service was great, food was too. Grandparents, kids and all in between were happy.

Was excited to stumble upon this sushi restaurant. Glad to see more options in Frederick. It's now my favorite sushi place in the area! Very generous portions and very good sashimi as well as a lot of variety in rolls.

I have been to Sapporo II many times over the past year, and it has been exceptional every time. The quality of the seafood used here is better than any other seafood restaurant in the Frederick area. Wide selection and kind servers complete the experience at Sapporo II. Omakase is NOT the only option here, by the way. 😊 Do not miss Sapporo II if you are visiting Frederick.

The only reason this restaurant is surviving with decent rating is being the only sushi place in downtown Frederick. (Besides Lazy fish near by) People of Frederick need to venture out to other cities and realize what real quality sushi is.

What a nice surprise! I was looking for an alternative to my usual sushi place and may have instead found a replacement. Our waiter recommended some specialty sushi rolls with very unique flavors that worked incredibly well together. The presentation was great and the service was prompt, although it wasn't very busy. The white table cloths give a more upscale feel, and the robot waiter is fun.

We went to this restaurant last night, and it was a disaster. The food took 1.05 hours to arrive. Our table was for 10 people—2 got their food in 35 minutes, and some around 50 minutes, and the rest waited while the others finished eating. It took 1.05 hours after we placed the order for them to get their food. And then they mixed up the orders and gave them to the wrong people. My boyfriend and I waited for 1.05 hours for the wrong food!! With sushi, it's hard to tell the difference, so people started eating before realizing the mistake. The waitress admitted they mixed up the food but didn't apologize or offer to fix it. We ended up eating the wrong dishes and paying for the expensive ones we didn't even get to try. It was a terrible experience, especially since we thought they'd offer a discount or something at the end, but nothing! I paid $80 for this experience!! Never going back and will tell everyone to avoid that place. Worst first experience ever.

Great sushi. We ordered tempura appetizer, tuna sashimi, white swan roll, and Bob’s roll. All of it was very delicious. I was a big fan of the white swan roll. The environment was great. Very nice, but not so fancy you feel out of place in casual clothes. They also had a large part of the menu that was not sushi, such as bento lunch and dinner specials, and fried rice. I would recommend to anyone who likes sushi and I can’t wait to come back again.

I really enjoy this place! I’ve been on a few dates here and dinner with friends and it’s been good! I have only had the sushi outside of appetizers, and it’s great! fresh fish 👍 great service 👍 they have one of those server robots with trays and it says hello a gives you your food and drinks … it’s super cute!

They have a talking robot that brings the soup out. So cool! Sushi too. And great service. The only complaint I have is that they don’t have all the beer selections that are listed on the menu. My top two were out of stock.

We stopped into Sapporo to have a quick spicy tuna roll and a drink. However, we were treated to some of the most amazing dishes from Chef/Owner Chris. The service was incredible and the staff was so friendly! They turned what was going to be a quick bite into a culinary experience and we can’t wait to go back.

We went on a date Friday evening and while the restaurant had a fair number of people, the servers were pretty quick. The atmosphere was pleasant and sophisticated. Some of our favorites were the Chicken Katsu and Avocado Bomb. The Katsu was juicy but crispy and the Bomb had a lot of flavor.

We've eaten at Sapporo ii a couple of times and were so impressed with their sushi that we scheduled our wedding anniversary dinner at Sapporo ii and tried the Omakase (a 10-course sushi and 6-course kitchen dining experience). It was incredible!!!! We lived in Seattle for two years and have had some of the best sushi in the US in LA and Seattle so our expectations for freshness are very high and I often find that I do not agree with people in the DMV about where to find good sushi. Every single plate we received during the Omakase dinner was beautifully crafted and artful. Temperatures were always perfect (cold, warm and hot wherever ideal). We got one dish that arrived *on fire* and I could not have been more excited to try such delicious and unique sushi and cooked fish.

Halfway through our meal the chef began asking what we love most, what we want to see next, etc. They began custom tailoring the next dishes to our taste and it was perfect. The drinks were tasty and I had a wonderful time here.

The service is good here but the ambiance is a bit stark so it's not the most romantic place to come. That being said, we thoroughly enjoyed sitting at the bar, watching the sushi chefs and exploring the food they brought us. I want to do it again!!!

Our experience at the downtown Frederick place was a nightmare—the service was beyond terrible, and the food arrived ice-cold! Everyone in my party ordered at the same time and one of us got our food and the other was waiting for another 30 minutes. The server never checked on us not once. It's the epitome of the worst dining experience, and I won't be returning.

Came with a party of 9 for a birthday. Not only is the atmosphere so cozy but the food was next level. We ordered 6 different appetizers...all incredible. My 12 year old raved about the salmon nagiri and our spicy rolls left nothing to be desired. The server was so nice and made the evening relaxed. Seriously check this spot out.

Excellent option if you are in the area. The tofu and spicy edamame appetizers were fresh, hot and arrived at the table quickly. We opted for the sushi dinner for two which had sushi, sashimi and a variety of rolls. Everything was excellent, well cut, great texture and taste and a beautiful presentation. The cold sake selection is reasonably good and we were able to pair a bottle with the meal. We will definitely return when in Frederick.

Took approximately 25 minutes to be greeted at our table only after having to physically get the attention of a staff member. Then it took another 30 minutes to get just 2 waters. After about an hour our food came out which wasn't all that tasteful. Many other places in the area with better tasting, and cheaper, ramen noodles. The broth for the Sho Yu Ramen and Miso Ramen had no flavor. The K-Ramen had some spice to it which wasn't bad. The service made the experience unpleasant overall as it was slow, and they showed zero concern for how unresponsive they were.

They seem to have a shortage of people but luckily it wasn’t too busy. It was nice and quiet. The staff was friendly.
The green tea was very good. It tasted fresh and is serviced in a beautiful pot. The cup is very small and cute. You can pour your own tea so it was a nice way to make sure your tea is always hot.
The miso soup was okay. Nothing too crazy. A bit too salty and bland at the same time. It was also lukewarm.
The sushi was delicious. I got the fire dragon roll and did enjoy it. Flavor was great.
Will more than likely return but won’t be trying the soup again.

We made reservations this past Friday evening. I should have known something was amiss when the host didn’t even bother to check our name and just seated us without question. And so we waited. And waited. And waited. And waited. No server ever showed up to even greet us. We noticed another table who was seated before us didn’t even have drinks yet and were similarly befuddled by the complete lack of attention by any staff. Finally, we got up and left (and were immediately seated and served at another restaurant down the block).

I understand if you are busy and understaffed, the manager could at least have a staff member greet customers and explain the situation and that there is an unusual wait.

Maybe all that money the company spent on fancy robots would have been better spent on hiring real humans.

Not great. This was a second chance and it was as disappointing as our first attempt. Food is underwhelming, wine is over priced, limited choice in drinks, and horrible service. Lights are too bright for an evening dinner. There are too many great options here so drop this place lower on your list.

Unsure why my most recent visit had us wait over an hour for our food. As everyone in the restaurant got served first. Disappointed that trying something new of iced green tea was literally a tea bad in a glass of ice water. Was expecting green tea poured over ice. We had 3 of us for my birthday with plans afterwards and told them we were in and out for a quick dinner before plans elsewhere. Prior visit, I had given this a higher rating. Very sorry they changed to have such poor service and long wait time. We did not have time to order additional items with our order taking so long. And it was odd they served other orders we did not ask for as we waited. We were expecting to order additional sushi but the original order took over an hour to arrive so no time to be able to order any more.

Tried this restaurant on a Monday, just as they opened at 11:30am. We were looking for some sushi, and this place came up as near our location on a Google search. Nice atmosphere (white tablecloths are always a plus), good food. Service? Surprise! We had a robot deliver our drinks and then our first course of soup:) All in all a pleasant experience and I'd go back just for the robot!

I've been here over three times and have enjoyed it thoroughly. Has an extensive sake menu and lots of menu options. The sushi is superb. We normally get one of the combo options for two and they offer a good variety with generous portions. Love this place for a date night.

Was seated rather quickly which was a plus on a Friday night (we had reservations). Chairs were comfortable. 25 minutes later no one approached our table or even took a drink order. They were other tables ahead of us who were in a similar boat.

Severely understaffed. At some point as an operator you have to make the right decision and not seat guests that you clearly don't have the ability to provide a good dining experience to. We got up and left to another restaurant nearby. Had a great experience there.

Esther the manager asked me to wait for about 15 minutes. After waiting for about 30 minutes, Esther told me the order cannot be found.

Let me start by saying that I don’t normally enjoy seafood. It’s a testament to the quality of this restaurant that I thoroughly enjoyed the sushi and sashimi that I ordered. You can easily see by looking at the plate that the staff treats their ingredients with such respect and that translates to the flavor of the food. The service was good, and the atmosphere was very comfortable. The menu is huge. No matter what your preference is, you will surely find something you like.

Some suggestions for customers who read this review: I would get there as early as possible because it fills up quickly, and because the food is so carefully and thoughtfully prepared, you may have to wait longer than usual before getting your food. Also, be prepared to spend more than usual here. The quality of the food is fantastic and deserves a higher price.

They refused to substitute an item so we left after not understanding why every restaurant in town accommodates diet issues we typically spend 200 plus a month

The owner called and was upset b/c they declined to substitute the meal item and said next time it's on us they lied refused it when we returned meager did not care.

I'll never return regardless ever even if he calls us back promises the world loved this place and we are disappointed but if you cant trust them why eat their food.

We were here last night with some friends and it was just okay. You expect more than okay for $100 meal. Atmosphere is severely lacking, they have powerful overhead LED lights which look like they were leftover from a retail store. The food comes out at all different times, the table was half way done with their food when my sushi arrived. I didn’t want to ask my friends to wait for my food because it took so long. They use a robot server which has no directions as to who gets what food, so we have to flag down the waitress anyways. And to top it off the sushi was underwhelming. I would rather go to other sushi places downtown next time.

Such a great experience our waitress and the other wait staff were incredible the fish was so fresh and the appetizers (we had the avocado bomb and shrimp dumplings) were incredible. We will definitely return and probably do the chef tasting option next time.

Finally went to try this place last night + didn't get to: I am a Lazy Fish loyalist so, now that they've closed for renovations we planned to try Sapporo II -- my husband even made a reservation.

We entered their lovely space and were confused by the amount of time that we had to wait at the host stand. Ahead of us, a Door Dash delivery person was waiting for an order.

A kind but frantic-looking server -- whose guidance we were later grateful for -- informed the Door Dash person that she would need to wait about 10 minutes. That same server then informed my husband and I that, due to a staffing issue in the kitchen (she said that "chef left"-- of course I can't be certain what this entails, but my assumption is that the head chef quit), and all food was taking a minimum of 45 minutes to arrive after being ordered and most ticket times were closer to 1 hour: due to a combination of poor staffing, a busy dining room, and lots of to-go and delivery app orders.

The server then indicated a table near to the entrance where it was clear that three of the four guests had already finished their meals and one guest had not yet received any food -- obviously not an ideal experience for those diners who looked dismayed.

My husband and I asked for a moment to discuss while we looked around the room and observed other tables in similar states of chaos.

I was a restaurant manager for many many years and the owner/manager's approach to the situation at Sapporo II last night is incomprehensible.

It is grossly unfair to your servers to put them in a position to have to inform guests that they cannot be served. A manager or owner should have been greeting guests at the door to handle this.

Additionally, when a staffing issue occurs on-site, the revenue centers that you shut down are delivery and to-go. It is antithetical to the principal of dining out to allow those services to continue at the cost of poorly serving--or in my case, not serving at all--on-site guests.

The server returned to us and we asked her a few clarifying questions and she apologized profusely--which I assured her was not her responsibility.

In the end we decided to dine elsewhere (Isabella's, for the record + it was great as always).

Sorry Sapporo, unless you find a way to turn this around, we won't be back. It's a pity, I hear the food is great.

See also: I don't know this to be true of these owner/managers but I know far too many who undervalue and subsequently under compensate their staff: if this is you, Sapporo II, this is a mistake.

Take good care of your people so they can take care of your guests -- and when it goes wrong, please try to be proactive in handling it.

The vibes are so cute ! There’s a little robot to bring dishes to your table. My favorite dish to get from there is the Nabe Yaki. If you’re a fan of authentic Japanese dishes this is definitely the place!

Food was delicious and nicely presented. It’s a wide open airy restaurant simple but a bit sterile. Leans more to the high end. Prices were a little high for a single piece of sushi/sashimi ($4+ each)
My main issue was the food took at least 30+ minutes to arrive. They were not overly busy and no one apologized for the delay or even checked on me after I ordered until I asked them where my food was.

Starting off this review to say this is the BEST sushi i have had in Frederick. Really disappointed that the rest of my review will speak to the worst service I’ve ever had. We had a 7;45 reservation and were seated promptly. Great start. 10 minutes goes by before a waiter approaches us. Everyone else is being taken care of us, so not sure what was going on. Eventually we have our order taken. An hour after we arrive, we get our food at 8:40. They did not give me the correct order. Overall really hoping that they get their staffing issues under control, as the service is awful. Sushi is 5 stars though *shrug*

Downtown Frederick was in so much need of another Sushi restaurant. I was surprised at how delicious the sushi is. It’s just so hard to find a place with the right rice to fish ratio if you know what I mean. Also, it’s absolutely delicious! The beer/wine/cocktail menu is a plus. Highly recommend!

They have a robot named Jasmine that delivers drinks and food! Our sushi and sashimi for 4 was amazing. So much food! I will definitely go back!

Great restaurant! I can't eat fish and they have a lot of great options. Try the chicken tempura dinner, it's really good. They have a very cool robot that helps bring food to the tables. It also entertains younger children. Service is friendly. We have never had a wait but it can get busy. The serving floor is nicely decorated and clean. My one complaint is if you are hoping for a quiet romantic place, this is not the one. Otherwise this place is great.

This review applies only to the omakase experience (14 July). We have dined her for sushi before on the normal menu and had a good experience.

The omakase experience was very disappointing, especially for the price ($150 per person). It essentially consisted of an assortment of menu items presented without apparent thought to the order of presentation. Items were often not explained (we had to ask what we were being served on most courses) and included fried items in the early courses, which led us to become full way too early. This made the last few courses very unpleasant. We almost left before finishing the courses.

As for the sushi, many of the items (including toro) were served ice cold, making it difficult to fully taste and enjoy. We looked at the rolls being served regular customers with envy as we were brought one underwhelming, over-sauced item after another. Overall, the whole experience was extremely disappointing and I would much rather have ordered nigiri piece by piece at Lazy Fish, or gone to DC for a true omakase experience.

Go here for normal sushi menu - but don’t waste your money on omakase until they put more thought and care into this pricy experience.

This restaurant is amazing! My boyfriend and I love coming here. Always great and friendly service and fantastic sushi. We really enjoy getting a variety of the rolls as they have a good range of options. Everyone from the entire staff is very polite and they provide good menu recommendations. If you’re curious about this place, definitely check it out! One of our favorite places in Frederick.

I usually find it difficult to form opinions on the quality of food, as I honestly don’t taste much of a difference. But oh my goodness, this food was good. The vegetable bento box was a beautiful arrangement of deliciousness. The sho yu ramen was a scrumptious potion of flavor. The rice was rich in sticky, sweet goodness (I love sushi rice). I was so blown away that I felt spiritually compelled to leave a review. Also the robot was cute.

It was my first time and I came with my Mom and Dad. Workers were so kind and everything moved so swiftly! Very clean and very organized. Food was also amazing! Would totally recommend.

Went not expecting much. Come on its Sushi restaurant in Frederick. It's not town to expect good sushi.
However, this restaurant can compete with any sushi restaurants in DC or Baltimore or anywhere else on the East Coast. Fresh, delicate, creative, delicious. Went not expecting much but cam out amazed and grateful.

This place will make you smile from the moment you walk in and get a prompt and friendly greeting. Ensure you have reservations as this place is popular! The menu has something for every diner, and everything we've tried was delicious.

Service is fast, and there is even a robot to deliver some items, which was also entertaining.

Parking is on street or the Church Street garage is a 3 minute walk amd very inexpensive ($4 typical).

Everything is delicious! We have revisited several times and it remains a Frederick favorite!

I have stop by alone to eat sushi. They told me that I need t wait 30 min to get seated and took my phone number, after 25 min I returned then waited inside for 5 min and nobody had clue why I am there and they asked me if I am there to pick up something. Horrible experience even without eating anything. I just left.

Came here for dinner and was blown away by the quantity and quality!

Highlight: Sashimi plate was the most delicious. In comparison to what I've tried in Canada and US, its comparable to the upper echelon. This makes the price tag worthwhile.

Notable mentions: the presentation is great on all plates. Chef greets you loudly as you step foot, as is often seen in Japanese restaurants. Your greeted and thanked profusely, all staff were incredible. Pleasant and smiling.

Also shoutout to using toast and accepting apple pay! Good to see more and more bills processed at the table.

Sushi was pretty good but far from the best I've had. The salmon sashimi was tough and very tiny pieces for $6/ea. They ran out of hot saki which was disappointing. Service was slow even with very few patrons. The a/c was blowing cold on the table. Idk it felt a little like a tourist trap to me especially with the high prices. Highly doubt I'll return.

Update: Food still excellent but that damn robot they just bought is annoying AF. Rolling around singing Happy Birthday in a computer voice. Total lack of atmosphere there now. If you are going to spend 200 to 250 for a meal for two a robot delivering your food is really cheap. Still give 5 stars for the food but I wont be going back anytime soon.

The fish was good but the rice was a little dry. The atmosphere was nice, service was good. We came 30 minutes before they shutdown and prepare for dinner service which is probably why the rice was off to me (it just didn’t taste fresh). However the food was good enough to eat and I would try it again. I wouldn’t order the Eskimo roll again. For me, radish replacing sushi rice was not a good combination.

We had reservations for six for a birthday. Two of our party arrived 5 minutes earlier and we're shown our table. The rest of us showed up and 35 minutes later I finally went and found menus. We didn't have any forks. We didn't have any chopsticks. We didn't have any menus. There were two weight staff and four tables. So each weight staff had two tables and that was all of the people in the restaurant. But we waited 35 minutes before our waitress spoke a single word to us. We were never given water. We were never giving refills. Our waitress never came back to our table to check on us for the entire dinner. It was literally the worst service I have ever had in any restaurant anywhere. Our 270 bill was just insult to injury. With tip over $350. Absolutely criminal theft

Clean and simple interior. Very professional service. Great menu selection. Both times I were there, the food was delicious and the size was much bigger than I thought (compared to other places that charge you ALOT and give you tiny amount of food). The Nabe Udon and the rolls are a must try when visiting!

My apologies for not having more pictures. This was the first time ever going and I was really focused on the food. IT WAS AMAZING! Spicy Fried Calamari, delicious! (Wish it was crispier) Spicy Shrimp & Tuna (in the picture) One of my new Favorites. Fire Dragon Roll will definitely have again. We also had a bottle of Sake it tasted like orange juice but it was good. I gave this place a 4 star because of a comment the person who welcomed us did. I understand that for a business it's nice when you are prepared and not getting a table of 10 walking in without notice like we did, but if you didn't want our business because of that or it wasn't something you were a fan of there are better ways of saying something and not being rude about it. Our server was awesome! The food was great! It will be a spot we come back to and we'll call next time.

Genuinely the best sushi and customer service in Frederick. My friend and I were searching for a place to eat Downtown and almost everything was closed. We went into Sapporo who told us they would hold open their sushi bar for us. In 10 minutes they made us the most amazing sushi ever. 10/10 experience.

We came in on a very busy Saturday night without a reservation but they were able to accommodate us. It was busy so the service was slow but the food was with the wait. I look forward to going again. You should definitely try the green tea.

We got the sushi for two. The sushi was so fresh and it was amazing. This is some of the best sushi we've ever had in our lives. The initial server wasn't very attentive but the lead server came over and took over and he was absolutely amazing. One of the chefs even came to check on us and bring us another piece of sushi. Absolutely great environments, great experience, we'll definitely be back.

Very nice restaurant. Wait staff was super pleasant. Prices were reasonable, and they gave us a free appetizer for reserving online. One of these places that puts cucumber in its California roll. Ugh, I'm sure you're with me on that one. Next time I'll see if they are willing to make without it. And why is it Sapporo II? Did Sapporo 1 fail? Or maybe S1 is in the Bronx, or Sapporo, Japan? I need to know this. But their sushi is quite good and I will go there again.

Went with the lady to celebrate her birthday and it was amazing service. They provided her 2 free desserts and made sure all of the food was all well prepared and professional. As someone who grew up eating Korean and Japanese food I can say this is one of the best in the area. Price may be on the higher side but it is well worth it! Recommend 10/10

We were able to make a reservation for our group of nine on New Years Eve - the process was simple and the staff was so accommodating! Right from the moment we walked in I was enchanted by the decor and atmosphere. the restaurant is elegantly decorated but the staff greet you and seat you like theyre welcoming family home. the menu is extensive and I can't wait to go back a try more but as it was the first time visiting for most of us, we opted for the Sushi and Sashimi for 4 (x2) which is the chefs choice of rolls, sashimi, and nigiri. the meal was gorgeous to look at and so fresh and delicious. We were so well taken care of by our servers, the chef, and we even got to meet and thank the owner for the meal and hospitality! This was such a great was to say goodby to 2022 and start the New Year right. Thank you, Sapporo II! I can't wait to come back with more friends and family!

We had reservations for 6 on a Monday night. Other guests around us were grumbling about long wait times for food when we ordered. Our app came out quickly, then 3 of us received our meals one at a time. After an hour, the manager came to the table to tell us the kitchen was out of rice and they were not able to prepare the sushi rolls for the other 3 guests at our table. No discount was offered to our table for those of us that ate one at a time. We will not be back.

Downtown Frederick has so much to offer. If you are visiting, check this place out for approachable sushi and Japanese food. The environment was quieter than some neighboring restaurants on this night. We could hold a conversation just fine and didn't have to wait to get a table. We enjoyed the food and the presentation. The green tea mochi ice cream was a fun dessert too.

We had a great dinner. Between the four of us we had tempura shrimp, the K-Ramen, Nabe Yaki, and Sho Yu Ramen. Everything was served piping hot, the tempura was cooked perfectly, and the noodle broths were exquisite. Highly recommend.

A pleasant find during a Monday stroll in downtown Frederick when most restaurants were not open. Nice atmosphere set with light jazz music in modern black and white decor. We ordered banto boxes which were beautifully presented and tasted fresh and 👍. Will try out their 🍣 and 🍙 next time since they have an attractive open sushi bar stationed with handsome sushi chefs.✅ 😊🍵

I arrived here with a group of 8+ people right at the start of the dinner rush. We were lucky and their large seating area was available so we got sat right away. The food was all very good and each of us ordered something different. The experience and food was great, with typical downtown pricetag.
